2024.05.16 03:04 Intelligent-Bank-677 Do you have written procedures for what to do if a new behavior happens

I am consistently being asked what to do if x,y,z new behavior emerges for the first time (typically attention-maintained “junk behavior”). 9/10 times my response is block and redirect to what should be happening in that moment. I tell RBTs I am not always going to be available— in those moments I promise that I will never fault anyone for blocking and redirecting. Like I don’t want my RBTs to go “rogue” and create a DRO on their own but blocking and redirecting will always be OK. However, I keep receiving SOS messages for RBTS that say they need a BCBA immediately. I come running and it is for a new non-dangerous behavior that there has only been 1 instance of. I also get pages upon pages of ABA data for every single new bx that occurs even if there is only 1 instance per page. An ABC sheet is started up for any new/odd bx sometimes three sheets will be started up for a client in a single session . An example of an ABC data sheet I received was for a 2- year old removing socks and shoes in the clinic and it was labeled as disrobing. I am trying to make ABC data more BCBA initiated than RBT. I am almost wondering if I need to create a to-do list for bx:
  1. Block and redirect
  2. if behavior has a safety concern notify BCBA immediately. If no safety concern but bx happened consistently throughout session notify BCBA at end of shift. If behavior did not happen repeatedly throughout session notify BCBA if behavior continues to occur in later sessions.

2024.05.16 01:46 Anxious-Wrongdoer821 Export live Dynamics data to excel spreadsheet

Hi all, I'm going to start by saying I am very new to using dynamics so I apologise if this is a common/ easy fix.
I've just started working for a business that uses dynamics to manage live applications submitted all time of the day. These come off once they've been dealt with.
My business track all applications and populate a spread sheet to hold the records. Staff are instructed to manually copy and paste this data off dynamics to populate the separate standard excel spreadsheet that we then use for tracking these applications along with other data from a different source.
I've obviously googled the issue, found what I think is a solution however the excel drop down button that is shown to be to the right of the top bar isn't present.
At this point I feel it is may be a permissions issue/ restrictions in place, again I don't know enough.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated. As you can imagine that level of copy paste is drying up my sole.
Thanks in advance

2024.05.16 01:39 Mo_the_Goat99 I want to rank data, but keep getting duplicate values

I want to rank baseball stats to see, for example who hit the most homeruns in a single season for my team. In my sheet where I want my ranked stats, I have 1,2,3,4,5... in column A, I want the player name in column B and the stat in column C.
My raw data is another sheet, where the player name are column C, and home runs in column L. Here's what my formula for the B column looks like (the one where I want the ranked stat), to see who hit the most home runs:
INDEX('Batter Stats'!C:C,MATCH(LARGE('Batter Stats'!L:L;A1),'Batter Stats'!L:L,0))
Here's the formula I have to see the actual stat:
XLOOKUP(B1,'Batter Stats'!C:C,'Batter Stats'!L:L,"",0,1)
Here's what happens with my current formulas:
  1. O'Neil Cruz 93
  2. Jared Triolo 65
  3. Bryan Reynolds 43
  4. Nick Pratto 40
  5. Alec Bohm 33
  6. Alec Bohm 33
  7. Ke'Bryan Hayes 31
Here's what I would want it to show:
  1. O'Neil Cruz 93
  2. Jared Triolo 65
  3. Bryan Reynolds 43
  4. Nick Pratto 40
  5. Alec Bohm 33
  6. Nick Gonzalez 33
  7. Ke'Bryan Hayes 31
So how to I get it to look for Nick Gonzales, or two different players when 33 home runs is tied for 6th place ? Currently I have to manually look for the other player at 33 home runs and manually enter it.
Can someone help me ? If you need anything else, let me know in the comments!

2024.05.16 01:30 Awkward-Research-108 Is a English GED Ready Score of 188 Good Enough to Take the Test?

I was feeling lost when studying for the GED test unlike the math test so I took the GED Ready test and got a score of 188 I'll put the essay below I didn't change the spelling errors I posted on this already and thank the person who responded the first time.
When looking between these proposals, the winner becomes known in the matter of moments. The proposal for automatic traffic lights (FATL) is the clear winner why you ask? Proposal FATL starts of with stating their idea and why it would be benafical to have automatic traffic camras on the other hand the proposal against automatic traffic lights (AATF) puts down the other lacking to bring up another solution, and after word provides unconcrete data.
In paragraph 6 Baler Herald brings up the fact that by his calculations instaling traffic cameras would be to costly to be worth it. I'm going to ask you a retorical question who is Baler Herald does his name hold any weight to be compared to the data of for example, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or is he a person with absolutely no experince this right there already invalidates his argument but theres more.
Baler Herald writes an argument to propose not instaling traffic cameras and instead to higher more cops but not a single time in the argument do I see him supporting his proposal he doesn't even compare and contrast the cost of hiring 10 cops to the cost of the traffic cameras making his argument weak.
While Councilman Lorenzo supports his claim with constant stats and data Baler Herald a civil engineer supports his with inconstant data and occurances in a moment it become ever clear that Baler Herald is out of his depth and Councilman Lorenzo knows what he's talking about.

2024.05.16 01:15 kandoras Help with Stunning Fist macro / module [PF2E]

I just picked up the level 2 monk feat stunning fist, and I'd like to not annoy my DM by asking her to switch over to an enemy's sheet and roll a fortitude save every turn, then figure out the result versus my class DC, and then apply the stun effect if they roll low enough.
I'd like to find some kind of macro or way to have the chat pop up with a "roll fortitude" and then figure out the result, the way she's got it set up for some other stuff (I'm not sure if that's in the base setup or through some module).
She found a macro for the prerequisite attack of Flurry of Blows, I believe in the PF2E Action Support module. But I can't find anything in it, or any other module I've looked in, for stunning fist.
I've tried my hand at writing a script to do it, but the basic examples I found to start off from were out of date. I figured out how to make a chat macro and pull numbers like fortitude save off my character sheet to get
/r 1d20 + @actor.data.data.saves.fortitude.value
and that worked right.
But when I tried it as a script in
let roll1 = new Roll(1d20 + @actor.data.data.saves.fortitude.value).roll({async:false});
I got an error in the console "You are accessing the CharacterPF2e#data object which is no longer used. Since V10 the Document class and its contained DataModel are merged into a combined data structure."
So if anyone has a current and basic starting guide for macros, that'd help too.

2024.05.16 00:50 glebbwy Mold in home, health issues, and mold inspection results

Hello mold subreddit. First time reddit poster here. Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer to my case. In what follows, I'm going to first describe the health journey that led to my mold discoveries and questions, so please bear with me through the health stuff. I have included excessive detail in the hopes that my case might help others navigate possible mold problems.
If you don't feel like reading all the below, the tl:dr version: After struggling with unknown health issues for 15 months, I eventually linked my symptoms to my new home and subsequently discovered very high volatile organic chemical levels. I linked the VOCs to mold. I also had a mold inspection done, and the results are at the bottom of this post. The levels of mold were high in my kitchen and bathroom. However, oddly, the mold levels in the outside control group were much higher than inside. Can anyone help me understand how high my indoor mold levels are? Does anyone know whether the outdoor levels are reasonably normal? Is my specific blend of mold types implicated in neurological symptoms for others? And if anyone has dealt with mold before, do my possible mold symptoms described below seem similar to ones that you've had?
I bought my townhome in late 2022. Within four months, I started having new neurological symptoms. These symptoms started with a postural tremor in my left index finger and thumb. The same hand eventually began to appear smaller and shriveled, especially around my thumb. I also started having extremely frequent muscle twitches and jerks. These twitches take three general forms:
  1. The most common is an odd sensation of something wiggling under my skin. These primarily happen in my face, around my mouth, my butt/legs, and ribs.
  2. A pulsing regular beat in a muscle that lasts for several seconds and in some cases longer. These usually happen near joints, especially just above my elbows and knees. These are almost always visible to the naked eye.
  3. A sensation of rapid vibrating underneath the skin that lasts briefly. These vibrations are usually not visible but you can feel them if you press a hand over the area.
The twitches and apparent change to my hand have lasted for 16 months. At this point, the tissue loss in my thumb is also apparent in my forearm and upper left arm. My leg on the same side arm appears different and feels as if it has lost some muscle. I also have frequent trembling with specific muscles when I flex them. For example, sometimes when I try to hold a smile my face muscles will shake or give out. My neck tissues are especially liable to shake and vibrate when flexed, such as when doing tasks like flossing where I need to hold my lips back. On a few separate occasions, I have felt slight paralysis on one side of my face for an evening or so that then mysteriously goes away.
Aside from these neurological symptoms, I also have had frequent hoarseness, sneezing, jaw pain, and headaches. My joints often feel like they are more bony and poppy, especially in my left knee and knuckles. In addition, I've had a lot of issues with one ear on the same side as the shriveled hand. The ear had an apparent infection or cloudiness 12 months ago that went away, it then had recurrent pulsatile tinnitus, and now it just occasionally hurts at random times. There have been many other symptoms.
I have seen two neurologists, an endocrinologist, an ear-nose-throat doctor, and an orthopedic doctor. I've had countless tests done including two electromyographies (EMGs) over my whole body several months apart, an MRI, and a lyme disease blood panel. Every test has been normal, although the orthopedic doctor suggested possible thoracic outlet syndrome. The neurologist said my nerves are quite robust. My borrelia blood panel came back negative, although as a side note I did have a tick bite in early 2022 that caused a rash. I was treated for Lyme with 10 days of doxycycline. The tick bite itself still occasionally flares up red and its timing might be correlated with my symptoms.
Back to the house-- I was on a two week vacation out of state and noticed my twitches go away. Then I saw my arm become more normal sized again and the veins start to come back. I didn't feel the same joint issues, had no hoarseness, lost the headaches. All the symptoms came back as soon as I returned home, but nevertheless after that vacation and subsequent extended trips, I was able to conclude with a reasonable level of confidence that these symptoms are linked to the house. I bought an air filter and an air quality monitor that shows volatile organic chemicals, PM, formaldehyde, and C02.
Using the air quality monitor, I discovered that volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) and formaldehyde were usually abnormally high and sometimes extremely high. VOCs are usually above safety thresholds at >0.5 mg/m3 and formaldehyde >0.1 mg/m3. Sometimes, the VOC levels will stay consistently above 1.8mg/m3. I witnessed them reach a peak level of 5mg/3 in one bedroom late at night when I was woken up by a feeling of shortness of breath. I tried but failed to correlate these high VOCs to electronics, chemical sources in the home, cooking sources, heaters, and cleaning supplies. The way the VOCs would spike all over the house for no apparent reason in the evening helped me rule out some of these other possibilities. I also actively removed other sources.
Eventually, I realized that the VOCs were likely caused by mold, so-called microbial VOCs. The formaldehyde could also be explained by mold. The levels of VOCs would spike on rainy days, when the humidity was high inside, and in the evening. I don't think any other chemical source near the house would display this pattern. It took me a while to reach this conclusion because the mold issue in my house isn't too obvious. The house has always had a slight musty smell, especially if the air is stagnant for a while. The bathroom also has recurring mold growth on a tiles, in the shower, and on the various shower liners. A couple cabinets in the kitchen have always smelled musty. I didn't think these obvious signs of mold growth were that big of a deal, but given the extremely high levels of VOCs I now believe the mold has always been the issue.
Once I realized it was likely mold, I started noticing all the signs. The house is about 100 years old. The prior two owners of this house each moved out within five months. The house is not ventilated except from windows. It sits in a damp area near where water puddles up in the yard. It's mostly solid brick, so the house frame has a way of trapping hot air and releasing a lot of moisture onto the floors each evening. There's also a cheap layer of vinyl flooring throughout that could easily cover up a massive mold problem underneath. Finally, the townhome sits on top of an old shared crawl space that was used as a furnace. It has had known water puddling issues for which reason a vapor guard was installed underneath my first floor.
So, I had a mold inspection done. The results are at the bottom of this post. The bathroom results might be diluted because I left the window open the night before. Nevertheless, both my kitchen and bathroom had mold detected at levels between 6480 - 12,300 spores/m3. Oddly, the outdoor levels of all of the molds were often much higher, 3-6 fold higher than the levels indoors. It was a humid day, but it still seems odd for me that an outdoor space could have higher levels than indoors.
On later reading about my specific mold spores and neurological symptoms, I noticed that the two most elevated groups of spores in my house, ascospores and basidiospores, are the same class as all of the funguses known to have colonized the nervous system of ALS patients according to this published article. Those specific types of fungus found in the nerves of ALS patients are Candida, Malassezia, Fusarium, Botrytis, Trichoderma, and Cryptococcus. It naturally led me to wonder if my chronic als-type neurological symptoms could be caused by some latent fungal infection in my body that gradually improves when I'm away from the home.
Wrapping up this thread, I have a bunch of questions.

2024.05.16 00:21 gman1023 How do you handle config or mapping data that is updated by end user?

We have several config tables that need to be populated or updated by our end users. We have the data in a table in our DB. What options are available? The typical thing is having use drop a csv/excel file and then ingesting it as an data pipeline but any better approaches? esp if it has data validation or can be prepopulated somehow?
Examples:
* It can be something like some tax rates that an accounting person gets directly from Apple Developer Network and they need to update some Tax Rate table
* Or a suppose we have a list of products but they want to mark a specific status to a few so they are handled appropriately downstream.
* Or we get data from different external sources into s3 or database and some end-user needs do provide some mapping to some of those field values.
I've used Master Data Services (Microsoft product) in the past for this - has an excel add-in that makes it simple for non-techies. I've seen people use Google Sheets and retrieve data that way.

2024.05.16 00:03 polloponzi An Exclusive Prison Chat With Sam Bankman-Fried

For the first time since his incarceration, Bankman-Fried described his daily life in a detailed interview with journalist William D. Cohan of Puck:

On a recent Tuesday, I went to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for an intimate chat with America’s most famous prisoner, Sam Bankman-Fried. During our 75-minute conversation, we discussed everything from Caroline Ellison and the travails of his new life, to his regrets about the demise of FTX and his forthcoming appeal.
I got the distinct impression that Sam still doesn’t believe he committed any crimes, only that he was the one responsible for putting FTX in a position where it was vulnerable to a bank run and the devious actions of its competitors
WILLIAM D. COHAN -- May 9, 2024
On Tuesday afternoon, I found myself in the most unusual circumstances—sitting on a small plastic chair at a cramped table in the Metropolitan Detention Center, the federal prison on 29th Street in Sunset Park, in Deep Brooklyn. Outside, it was a gorgeous day, the sort of picturesque and slightly humid one that inevitably reminds longtime New Yorkers of the weather on the morning of September 11th. Inside the prison’s visiting room, however, there was no natural light, no sunshine, only the Hitchcockian buzz of fluorescent bulbs and three vending machines standing in a corner. Posters on the wall attempted to compensate for the bleak atmosphere by buoyantly welcoming visiting families.
I first met Sam Bankman-Fried in December 2021, during the height of his power and influence, when he was the richest person in the world under 30. My friend Anthony Scaramucci, a.k.a. The Mooch, had connected us. On a cold winter night at the One Hotel, on Sixth Avenue, I interviewed him for a documentary I am part of making about Bitcoin and its developer, Satoshi Nakamato. Sam showed up an hour late, in a black t-shirt and cargo shorts, apparently having just flown in via private jet from the Bahamas. A month later, Sam’s cryptocurrency exchange, FTX, would raise its final $400 million round of financing from a group of highfalutin investors—led by Softbank, Temasek, and Paradigm—at a valuation of $32 billion, making the company one of the most valuable in the sector. At that moment, Sam was said to be worth $26 billion.
This week, we reconnected amid very different circumstances. Sam and I arranged for this visit through his Corrlinks email account, at the suggestion of his mother, Barbara Fried, and the family’s prison advisor. We met on Tuesday around 1 p.m. because that was the only day that visiting hours are permitted at MDC, a hangover from the Covid era. Prisoners can have visitors for one of two sessions, either starting at noon or at five in the afternoon.
We were meeting later than noon because of the staffing shortage at the facility. I was allowed to bring in $1 or $5 bills, up to a total of $30, in case I wanted to buy Sam some water, soda, or snacks from the humming vending machines. I was told to put my $20 bill as well as my wallet and iPhone into a locker. Sam was not permitted to buy anything himself.
Following about an hour of bureaucratic snafus (I went to the wrong building at first, and I wasn’t wearing dark pants—although an exception was made for me) and other forms of prison processing (shoes and belt off, metal detection, sticking my hand in a scanner) I was finally allowed inside the prison, without a phone, a watch, a recording device, or even a pad of paper and a pencil. (I knew this in advance, of course, and set about preserving my recollections of our conversation immediately after leaving the facility.)
After a few minutes of waiting, I looked up to see Sam Bankman-Fried, over in the corner, dressed head to toe in a chocolate-brown prison jumpsuit, along with the still-wild frizzy hair that has been his trademark. These days, Sam looks considerably thinner than the last time we met—it appeared he’d lost 25 pounds, at least. But he looked better and fitter than I thought he would, to be honest—less pudgy, less manic, less fidgety, no bags under his eyes.
He was sustaining himself on rice and beans, he said, because the prison food was unsurprisingly inedible, especially the vegan entrées he was served, which his fellow inmates thought literally smelled like shit. He wasn’t complaining, mind you; he noted that he was just trying to make the best of a bad situation. The rice he buys at the prison commissary has become one of the currencies of the realm inside MDC. We joked briefly about how the arbitrage opportunities in jail were better than anything he experienced trading crypto at Jane Street Capital or buying and selling assets at Alameda. He looked me in the eye pretty much the whole time, something he rarely did with people in the old days.
After we shook hands, he sat down in his own plastic chair as a camera watched us from the ceiling. We were surrounded by a couple of other inmates, dressed similarly, facing their visitors. Sam declined my initial offer to buy him some snacks but ultimately agreed to a $4 bottle of water and a small $2 package of Wheat Thins, which he eagerly consumed.
We talked for the next 75 minutes or so, the first in-person interview he has given to a journalist since he was locked up in the MDC last August and then subsequently convicted of two counts of wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, securities fraud, commodities fraud, and money-laundering at his federal trial in November. In March, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Our chat, under these rather drastic circumstances, was a profoundly jarring and fascinating experience.

Prison Diaries

Sam began by answering my question about his life in prison. According to him, he lives in an area of the jail that was dedicated mostly to incarcerated women, save for the 35 men with whom he shares a dormitory-style existence in a big open room—bunk beds, no privacy, extreme boredom, and four television sets tuned to ESPN, Telemundo, BET, and a news channel. Sam said he could try to persuade his fellow inmates to change up the channel selection, but television bores him, so he has no interest in that challenge. He prefers watching a small selection of movies or playing some inferior video games on a tablet, without an internet connection, that the prison provides him and other inmates.
When I told him he seemed better than I had anticipated, he replied that he’d become good at faking it. So, yes, life inside the MDC is not the Bahamas. But, truly, I had expected to see him coping less well. At the MDC, Sam has mostly been permitted his prescription medications, and the cocktail he’s been allowed has him thinking clearly, he said, and energized for the legal battle he plans to wage soon against the verdict.
In the meantime, he told me, he doesn’t fear for his safety. He can use the bathroom and shower a couple of times a week in peace. He’s always been a light sleeper, and he’s still not sleeping soundly at the MDC, but mostly because people sometimes bug him during the night about those bags of rice, which they intend to use to barter. He has not been touched or abused, and he seemed notably thankful for that.
He acknowledged that he has a unique rap sheet at MDC, and his fellow prisoners indeed recognize him. He estimated that about half of the other 35 men in his unit were murderers who had been turned into cooperating witnesses for the prosecution in exchange for not serving a life sentence. In prison, many inmates consider cooperating witnesses the lowest form of vermin, lower even than child molesters. Sam also told me that some of the other prisoners tried to get close to him, thinking they would benefit financially from the proximity to a former billionaire. He doesn’t play along, he said.
We didn’t talk about his trial strategy or whether he intentionally siphoned off the $8 billion of FTX customer funds into Alameda. Both topics seemed moot at this point. We did discuss his onetime girlfriend, Caroline Ellison, whom he selected to run Alameda after lawyers kept hounding him about the inherent conflicts in him running both FTX and the hedge fund. (He chose to run FTX.) He acknowledged that he had asked a few other people if they would be interested in the role, but they turned him down. Ellison, he said, was a good manager of people and a good administrator but didn’t like making big investments and didn’t like taking risks. (Obviously, this seems like a bizarre aversion for a hedge fund manager, but I didn’t belabor the point.) In any event, Alameda ended up doing both.
He regretted that he had not tried harder to find another executive. He also said he should have ignored the lawyers and just kept running both FTX and Alameda, conflicts be damned, sort of like how Elon Musk oversees his various companies. Wishing he had ignored his lawyers’ advice emerged as a theme of Sam’s during our visit.

Legal Therapy

We did talk a fair amount about his appeal and about how he believed he was set up to be the fall guy—the victim of the old build-’em-up-only-to-tear-’em-down narrative arc. His theory of the case was that by the fall of 2022, it was every man for himself on a boat that looked to be sinking. By early November 2022, FTX was facing a liquidity crunch. Sam first sought a deal with Binance, which quickly fell apart or was never truly real, and was in the process of trying to raise billions in capital when his lawyers advised him to turn the keys of FTX over to John J. Ray III, which he did. Ray quickly filed FTX for bankruptcy and installed Sullivan & Cromwell, the company’s outside counsel, as counsel to the debtor.
Sam became the target of federal prosecutors, he told me, soon after FTX’s outside counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell made a presentation to them, on November 9, 2022, a day or so before the bankruptcy filing, about what they believed Sam may have engineered between FTX and Alameda, which has been described as the theft of $8 billion of customer money. In a sworn declaration about that meeting, S&C attorney Andrew Dietderich said he reported to the D.O.J. only what Ryne Miller, FTX’s U.S. general counsel, told him about a problem of “reconciling digital assets with entitlements” on FTX’s U.S. exchange, and nothing about Sam and his alleged transgressions.
Sam told me that had he not been persuaded by Sullivan & Cromwell and then by his personal attorneys to relinquish his job as C.E.O. to Ray, the company would not have filed for bankruptcy, and it would still be a thriving enterprise, worth $80 billion now. In this alternate reality, he would be worth $40 billion and he certainly wouldn’t be at the MDC. (S&C declined to comment on Sam’s theory of the case. It’s also fair to reiterate here that Sam was sentenced to 25 years in prison after a jury convicted him of the crimes described above.)
I got the distinct impression that Sam still doesn’t believe he committed any crimes, only that he was the one responsible for putting FTX in a position where it was vulnerable to a bank run and the devious actions of its competitors, not unlike how both Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers failed in 2008. Why, Sam wondered, was he prosecuted when no one at either Bear or Lehman faced criminal prosecution? During our chat, Sam was contrite and certainly chastened, but not exactly apologetic: He was adamant about his innocence, aside from a few degrees of negligence—punishable, in his view, perhaps by civil consequences, not criminal penalties and a quarter-century sentence.
According to Sam’s theory, he isn’t in prison for commingling assets of FTX and Alameda. Instead, he’s an innocent guy who didn’t get a chance to negotiate a deal with the federal prosecutors, and wonders why he was even prosecuted at all for what he believes was a form of a bank run. Instead, they just presented him with his indictment and told him he could eat it— accept it and plead guilty and then get sentenced, or go to trial and try to fight it. Since there was no plea bargain on the table, he said, he fought the charges at trial, and lost. Unlike his fellow inmates, he told me, Sam speaks to his new attorney nearly every weekday for an hour or so, as the focus of his appeal comes into view. He expects to file it this fall. Yes, he will appeal, but most people think he faces long odds of success.
On the day of my visit, Sullivan & Cromwell, still counsel to the debtor-in-possession in FTX’s bankruptcy case, filed a first draft of a plan of reorganization that appears to give its customers and creditors all of their money back, plus a little more—a return of $15 billion on $12 billion of claims—in large part because of the investments Sam made through Alameda. The plan, which still has a long way to go before being confirmed, also gives Sullivan & Cromwell, along with other FTX advisors, “exculpation” from future lawsuits related to its conduct in the matter. This is not unusual in a plan of reorganization. But Sam has exhaustive thoughts on this subject, which I may explore with him in a follow-up conversation.

Go West, Young Man

I’m not sure how much longer Sam will be at the MDC, and neither is he. He has asked to remain in Brooklyn at least until the fall, when his appellate brief will be filed. But that’s not up to him, of course. If he gets moved, which could come at any moment without warning or explanation, I’m told, it would probably be to California, closer to Palo Alto, where he grew up, the son of two Stanford Law professors. At that point, the question will be whether he gets to spend his incarcerated years in a federal penitentiary, which are mostly nasty places filled with hardened criminals, or in more of a minimum security prison, as Mike Milken once did.
If he does get moved out of Brooklyn, his family and legal team worry, he could spend as long as four months on a bus, handcuffed to the seat, making his way, slowly, across the country. Such prison buses make frequent stops—picking up new prisoners, dropping off others—which explains why they take so long to reach their final destinations. There’s also a remote possibility that he could be placed on one of the many planes operated by the U.S. Marshals Service, a.k.a. “Con Air.” But he’s more likely to get the infamous “diesel therapy,” they fear. Either way, during this hypothetical cross-country journey, Sam would be completely incommunicado with both his family and his lawyers until he reaches his new home in California, deprived of the minimal access to the internet and email he now enjoys in Brooklyn.
Just as we were getting ready to discuss some knotty issues, such as his choices during his trial or the fact that many of the people who once worked for him had turned against him to save themselves, our visiting time was up. It was non-negotiable. We quickly shook hands again. Then Sam went back to his dormitory and I went back outside into a glorious spring afternoon.

2024.05.15 23:52 Crafty_Violinist4520 Is it Possible to Automate Data Transfer from Websites to Google Sheets?

Hey everyone,
I've been trying to streamline my data collection process and was wondering if anyone has experience with automating the transfer of information from websites directly into Google Sheets. Specifically, I'm interested in pulling data from websites and having it automatically fill into designated cells in a Google Sheets document.
Has anyone successfully set up something like this before? If so, what tools or methods did you use? Are there any best practices or tips you can share?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

2024.05.15 23:49 Dumbbellslinger Comparing profit on one table and expenses from another table on same pivot chart

Hello,
I’ve created a sports betting dashboard that tracks various metrics. I pay for different analysts weekly/monthly packages of sports picks.
Currently I have a table called “Bet Log”, that tracks all information related to the bet I placed.
On a separate sheet/table called “Expenses”, I have a different table that tracks all information related to the expense of the monthly package.
On a third sheet called “Inputs”, I have various tables set up in order to data validate to get drop down menus on my Bet Log and Expenses tables. I have a table on “Inputs” sheet called “Analyst Table”, which has the names of all analysts I follow in order to track their individual performance.
Currently I am able to create pivot charts that visualizes Wager ROI by Analyst, Wager Profit by Analyst, etc.
I am having difficulties getting excel to create a pivot chart that shows a double column bar to show Profit by Analyst + Expenses by Analyst, so I can see if the analyst is covering their expenses or not.
I would like to visualize Total Profit and Total ROI, factoring wager profits minus expenses. I can’t figure out how to use data from two different tables into one pivot chart.
Also, since “Analyst” on “Bet Log” table is the same as “Analyst” on “Expenses” table, should I be data validating this? When I did, it started showing in my pivot charts “Jesse 2”, as if it has been duplicated but I used data validation from the same “Analyst” table on the “Inputs” sheet.
Thank you!

2024.05.15 23:48 CuteDance3039 How to charge clients more professionally?

I’ve been working as a pet sitter for a while, and for the most part, when we had to calculate what a client would owe me, we would take out the calculator and count. I’m doing this more frequently and want to make it look more professional as much as I want to avoid any errors. I’d like to print/send clients copies of their receipts with descriptions of what they have been charged for. So my question is: Is there some sort of app where I can input my rates and then manipulate the set data? Or should I just do all of this through Google Sheets?

2024.05.15 23:33 FellainisChest Feed Live Netsuite Data to Google Sheet

My company uses a 'homegrown TMS' which is a google spreadsheet containing one row per Sales Order received. There is a lot of manaul data entry required to keep it live. We recently went live on Netsuite and I want to eliminate the manual data entry that I currently do to keep our TMS updated.
I have built a saved search that populates the info I need (Ship to, date received, PO #, Requested Delivery Date, SO#). I could run the report daily and then copy and paste the new rows into the TMS but that feels tedious. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to have Netsuite dynamically add rows to the bottom of my TMS or something similar?

2024.05.15 23:32 Night_Hawk21 Hyperlink help!

Okay so I've searched around and haven't found anything helping me with this exactly. I am trying to make digital planners faster with data merge. I was messing around and saw that you can check a box to add an anchor and then hyperlink to the data. But I am struggling to know how to properly link each day in a month calendar to that specific day entry automatically. Here is my file with the dates that I have been using to auto create the monthly calendars and the individual days. I get the anchors to auto generate to each "day" page on the date title. But cannot figure out how to hyperlink the dates on the calendar to that day sheet. If anyone know what I mean by this and can help, greatly appreciated!

2024.05.15 23:31 Much-Employer-1267 automate excel reports using sql

I am worked with a analytics team in my company where they send Excel files to other teams (Reporting process) , and I have a task that I have to paste the data into a sheet of template file (.xlsb) , and then refresh all the formulas , and in the last copy all the values(not formulas) and send a copy of that files to other teams , this task is generally doable through macro(VBA) but there is a catch in my task , I have a data of around 2.3 million rows(database table) and if I paste that data in around 3 sheets than the macro got hanged .so I think I have to use a ETL tool(Pentaho) and convert all the formulas of template file into SQL queries and then calculate each column using SQL queries then export that query data into Excel . Is my implementation is optimistic and correct or is there any other way of doing all this process , I use python also but I didn't find fast solution for working with binary Excel files and with 2.3 million rows binary file got very heavy.
