Hey, back to this platform after a long time and this is my first post since. I figured that this could potentially help me, considering how the culture here is a bit more practical and realistic than other social media. Well, this is going to be a bit long discussion/rant about my life since the last couple of years. A bit of background information about me: I was considered to be academically brilliant all of my life, except when the lockdown started, the down fall (or as people say) began. I was distracted, however still was enthusiastic about life. However, it all got sucked out eventually. At that time, negativity was all around and I got sucked in too, completely draining all my mental health and energy. It kinda worsened after I left my regular high school about two years ago and joined a non attending one. I recently graduated about a month ago, still waiting for the results. But hell, has it been a journey. Well, I would like to mention what potentially had a more negative impact on my mental health. So, it was all kinda like a scam, the non attending thing and stuff related. It was all due to a coaching institution, which got all the primary attention through social media, and which got me into that fraud school. I never fall into scams (online or real life) considering my technical skills and expertise, but this was more of a trap. All those fake promises did pile up, and eventually, I had to face so much of harassment when it came to the final year of my high school exams (we have board exams here, and it's nationally competitive). When things couldn't get any worse, I suffered from an ankle fracture right in the middle of my preparation period, had to leave coaching altogether and study all alone at home (it was all due to the poor engineering of the institute, others had noticed too). Even after some months when I was kinda able to walk, I was suggested to go back, however, for me it felt awkward and non welcoming for some reason, even if I knew we had to pay so much of money to them. I mean, they didn't even care to even ask how I was doing all this time, like literally, they were aware of everything that took place with me. All they sent was promotional texts. NO guide, NO mentor, NO social media, NO friends, had to study all alone and somehow still make it through to make sure that I am qualified more than enough for the university entrance tests. I probably even have undiagnosed ADHD. If you are wondering what was my entertainment sources, it was primarily gaming, and binging on TV shows especially comedy. Well, coming to the part of my board exams, there was so much of uncertainty involved in the whole thing that all of it was seriously messed up. So much of misinformation, miscommunication and a non cooperative environment. Comparing to other schools for the pracs that they completed all of it in a week, the scammers in my case, took literally two damn months for all of it (with breaks in between, but still of course, it requires a mental preparation, which significantly affected my studies). They literally fixed the last one ten days before the theoretical exams started. As much as they lied, it was held so far away from our residence, we had to stay at a hotel every single day before the exam, and reach the exam center from there, then come back home afterwards.
Of course, I missed out on all high school experiences, even if it's not as much as the US, rather way less. However, I am not really disappointed in that. I was rather tensed about my results, that got released, and wasn't the best for which my mood went to hell. I wanted to study abroad, but this has been seriously traumatizing and I am totally unsure of what to do, currently thinking about taking the standardized tests and trying to research more about other requirements, all alone. I know that this post is related to career guidance and I will be posting the same there too, just wanted to share my story, which is not a part of the future decisions.

There is a short after story at the end of DM's Manga Vol.6 about Nightmare, its less of a spoiler but more of a additional background. Nevertheless, I recommend you watch the latest anime episode(ep19) before reading this post.
In the after story, the team talks about how Nightmares give people traumatizing dreams and feed on the psychological energy, and eventually kill the host, sorta like a psychological cancer.
Chilchuck then raises the question that wouldn't it be more advantageous for Nightmares to give people joyful dreams so they can feed on emotions in a more "sustainable" manner.
Laios, our Mr.Monsterpedia, mentions that a scholar studied on the matter before. The scholar took some Nightmares, planted them in his own pillow, slept on it and recorded his dreams. At first, the scholar had all sorts of dreams, good ones and bad ones.
However as time goes by, the percentage of bad dreams increased and the scholar eventually had a mental breakdown. Then the scholar concludes in agony that people get bored by happiness rather quickly while there is no end to the negative feelings. So the way Nightmare behaves is essentially formed by the way human mind works.
I didn't think of it too much the first time I read it, but later I came across articles explaining why news media and video services like YT have tendency to report/show bad news or picture things in bad ways: because negative stuffs grabs people's attention more easily.
Things that triggers negative emotion simply increase viewership, engagement and eventually ad revenues or influence etc.
At the end of the day, the selective pressure on media comes from none other than our minds, just like how Nightmare works in DM.
Well, at lease we have cat videos I guess.

this doctor wanted me to take two pills one the night before and one the day of that slow my heart down so they can take pictures of my heart to see if I have plaque but prior to this I have had images of my heart taken with a camera down my throat while I was sedated and they found nothing then that was a month ago why is this doctor wanting me to take that pill to slow my heart rate the day before and the day of and what procedure is this?
Also she said a stress test would be the other option but I would have to be put to sleep and the camera down my throat again do the stress test and then put the sleep again with the camera down my throat.

I posted here a couple months ago because I have had flaring symptoms for about a year that align fairly well with Graves. I noticed my TSH has been in steady decline for years, from being over 3 to about .65 but when I asked to get levels retested in March, TSH went up to .8 and free T3 and T4 were within normal range. My docs did not press further.
Since I have seen a neurologist for myasthenia gravis symptoms and got bloodwork with low complement 4 and mild positive ANA. He referred to rheumatology. At this point I figured I should test thyroid antibodies anyway because I need to catch whatever this is - I am miserable - and know thyroid disease can be associated with my results. My TPO came back at 267 (range 0-34) and TgAB at 1.3 (range 0-.9). All other antibodies for all other autoimmune disease have been negative.
I am wondering what I should do next. I am going to make an appointment with my PCP cause why wait for rheumatology follow up if he is going to refer me out anyway? Is it possible to have autoimmune thyroid disease with normal hormones? I suspect my TSH will lower again with warm weather but who knows. Are there any tests I should push for? Is treatment possible? Should I expect pushback on my results? I have seen a couple sources say “healthy” people can test positive for these antibodies but I certainly don't feel healthy. Most of my providers don't doubt I have something autoimmune they just don’t know what it is.

Hello all, I'm a 28m who's been dealing with gastrointestinal issues for the last 7 years. It all started when I had to take a zpak and doxycycline for an STD that I had at the time, within a day my symptoms from then on included: Globus Tightness in the chest along with pain Tightness in the rectum Constipation Pain after eating Gums bleed Flatulence Burping Feeling full quickly Anxiety Excessive mucous Shoulder pain Bloating Fatty Stools Headaches Vitamin deficiencies Bad breath Worse smelling farts Not being able to digest certain foods
I've had the breath test done before and it came back negative but I'm not convinced that it wasn't a fake negative. I remember at one point I had to take another antibiotic for a different issue and all of my symptoms went away for a few days before coming back.

Lord, enraged, sent an expedition of Castamere's ten best hunters to find it.
Only one of them returned, with a message.
"Do not look for me, I will return."
And when the dragons came west, when suggestion and need knocked at the door, Ryam returned.

During the Lodos Rebellion he fought on the front line, heedless of danger, and his legendary skill was instrumental in enabling Ser Gregor to win victory.
Every wound, every scratch on his skin was nothing compared to the glory and the knowledge that those years of training had not been in vain.
Later, during the Strawberry Tourney, Ryam decided to take part in the melee to test the youth's skills.
He was disappointed to see that the new generation was so weak and from that day on, he decided to devote himself completely to training a new generation of men of the West.
A generation of tough and powerful men, to save the region from depravity.

I have the opportunity to work for the federal government l, which comes with better pay and benefits. I absolutely love this job! I love my teachers and my director and this place definitely made me feel like at home. They took such great care of my daughter as well. I enjoy being in classes when they need me to take potty breaks or be a floater.
But I can't help but drool over the better pay and benefits that the feds are offering me. Theyre also offering me relocation expenses!I'll be working with the Department of the Navy as a civilian employee.
How do I break the news to my director? The thing is, I'll be taking a whole week off in June to recover from my surgery. And during that week will be my interview, background, medical, and PT test. Once that's done, I'll be hired and starting the following pay period.
It's such a bad taste to be leaving a job after taking a week off of work, is it not? I can't leave like that with such feeling stuck in the back of my head.

Hi! Just another timing question while I wait for our nurse to respond to this same question 😅 but also genuinely curious about other people’s experience.
Basically, we are prepping for our first IUI next week. Right now, our doctor has us coming in on Sunday for ultrasound monitoring and to time trigger shot.
I should preface this by saying that I have not felt very held in this process and have felt like I needed to remind the clinic about one thing or another along the way. These have been things that could alter our experience and timing if I didn’t say anything. So just trying to balance trusting the professionals and also my general anxiety around a possible ball getting dropped with how time (and money) sensitive this process is.
They have initially said they want us to do trigger Sunday, IUI Tuesday. This totally vibes with the standard 36 hour wait in between trigger and IUI. But I’ve been using OPK the last 3 cycles and have consistently gotten dark lines on CD 14 and CD15, approximating my ovulation on CD15. CD16 and onwards my tests are back to negative/low. This cycle CD15 is on Monday.
So of course now I’m nervous that IUI on Tuesday will be too late, especially since we’re using the trigger too. Or will using the trigger make it so that window is a bit wider?
Just curious how others with pretty regular cycles have balanced the use of the trigger with their natural cycle and if that made things move faster or affected timing in any surprising way? TIA!

My aim was/is to provide non-technical users with an easier and smoother transcription service without the need for coding. However, shortly after its launch, I began receiving negative feedback from users regarding the transcription accuracy of various languages. Some languages were performing poorly, and others weren't functioning at all. Testing each language integrated into the ToText platform became imperative. To achieve this, I proposed a survey study to the capstone students in my department. Fortunately, it was selected by a capstone team (shown in the picture), and I started supervising those students as they conducted a survey of transcription accuracy for 98 languages included in ToText. These students did an exceptional job and obtained significant results. One of them was the disproval of OpenAI's claim of supporting over 90 languages. In reality, the critical question to ask is, "What level of transcription accuracy does the whisper module provide for each language?" If nearly half of these languages are transcribed poorly, is it accurate to claim support for them? Yes, this is what happened to ToText. It is possible that some tweaking needs to be done so the model can have a better definition of what a transcription actually is. Trying to get a GP appointment is reaching impossible now and was just wondering if someone could give me some feedback on my symptoms before trying again
So I haven't had a period since the 28th Feb I've had negative and positive pregnancy tests and at a pregnancy unit I got a hcg blood test which confirmed it was negative.
My in laws had me a bit worried because they think I'm going through an early menopause?

I'm planning to shoot indoors with poor tungsten lighting soon. I've been able to dial in my rotary processing times for HC-110 Dilution H for ORWO UN54, Kodak 5222, Kodak 2238, and Kodak 2254 fairly easily because I had bulk rolls of each. Finding my personal EI and dev times has been fun and straightforward. I like structure of the Zone System for this. However, intentionally pushing film for crushed shadows and blown highlights still feels uncomfortably new to me since I prefer to have the "flexible" negative. That seems to go out the window when indoor lighting is poor and low, so compromises have to be made, this feels like uncharted territory for me (I'm way more comfortable with landscapes).
Unfortunately, I only have 5x 36exp rolls of Kodak Tri-X left (from the heyday when 100' was $90) and don't expect to be purchasing more in the future, it's simply beyond my budget now. I need low light and have been debating whether or not to get a 100' roll of HP5+ and shoot it at 1600 (their datasheet is pretty straightforward with times) or....do I stick with the 5x rolls of Tri-X and get busy testing. If I go the second route, I would like to kindly ask the community's advice on starting times for HC-110 (any dilution) and Tri-X at 1250 or 1600.
So far I've found:
EI 1600: HC-110 B for 12 minutes @ 68F
EI 1250: HC-110B for 16 minutes @ 68F
Personally, my guess is N development is probably around 6 minutes so N+1 is maybe 8.4 minutes and N+2 is 11.75 minutes?
I will account for rotary processing time and temp, so no worries on that. I have looked at the Massive Dev Chart but I prefer advice from this subreddit first before relying on it. Not a knock on the MDC - they're great. For Tri-X, the dev times from Kodak, the MDC, and Covington Innovations have been helpful at triangulating a ballpark. I'm surprised Kodak hasn't corrected the typo on their Tri-X datasheet for 3m45s HC-110 B@ 68F for box speed.
Ideally, I'd like to lose as few rolls as possible for testing. Credit to one of our community elders😊 u/mcarterphoto for a cool trick that I remember from many years ago, where I believe, you set the camera to Bulb mode or on the Nikon F5, a multi-minute exposure, fire the shutter, and while the mirror is up and with the first curtain opened, you adhere a piece of Scotch tape onto that frame, (don't press too hard or it'll flex the pressure plate and light leak into the adjacent frames) and then close the shutter, drop the mirror, now in the dark bag, you have a tactile "bookmark" for those test exposures. This way you can test multiple EIs on a roll of 35mm.
Anyways, would invite anyone to share their proven times and an example if they wish. Many thanks!

I bought my first 4K TV - a 77" LG G3 TV.
I used included wall mount and eyes are 13 feet from the TV. To try it out, logged into Netflix (I have a Standard account) and randomly picked some Robert Downey Jr. movie called "The Judge" that was suggested on the Netflix home screen.. Its from 2014 and 1080p so its not that old.
Whats troubling is the picture is very grainy and sparkly - I understand that the movie might itself be on grainy film, but its the shimmering/sparkling of the grain that I find deeply troubling. My concern is that I should have got a much smaller TV so that the grain isn't noticeable, or one that is less bright.
If I turn on Youtube and pick something that is expecitly 4K, the picture is incredible. But as most content is 1080p I'm concerned I picked the wrong TV and should have got one much smaller.
I'm coming from a Panasonic Plasma TC-P50G15 I bought in 2009. Both the Youtube and Netflix apps are built into the TV, I haven't changed any settings yet on the TV to see if it can be improved.
I am on Wi-Fi, but feet from the router and Netflix speed test shows ~225Mbps down.

I am having a mystery illness/infection or skin problem affecting my vulva.
•i (24F) have had inner labia pain since early feb, 2-3 days after sex with my partner (25M) of 2 years. also used a toy and saliva at the time. symptoms were raw pain on left inner labia, redness/irritation near vagina left entrance. a month after initial symptoms ulcers or lesions appeared on the same affected area (inner left labia), without any other outbreaks. Also have had yellowish on/off discharge that is sour smelling.
•plenty of dr visits, mostly taken medications based on symptoms not tests. which were (clotrimazole suppository x2, metronidazole tablet, doxycycline x2, acylovir, ceftriaxone, miconazole + metronidazole suppository, vaginal probiotics suppository, zinc oxide cream, lidocaine gel, prednisolone tablet, steroid gel) all in diff timelines in a span from early feb - now. currently on prednisolone and steroid gel.
•After taken most of the medications stated above. ive run many tests as well. But some test (unsure) might have been affected since many medications were already taken most tests were done mid march- april ;
hiv, syphilis, hsv, hep, chlamydia, gonorrhea, ureaplasma, mycoplasma, trichomoniasis, high vaginal swab for yeast, strep and bv or other bacterias and a pap smear test was done.
ALL NEGATIVE. but during a swab test for gonorrhea which was done mid march, pus cell was seen. And by this timeline, i only had taken clotrimazole suppository.
•Today i took a UTI strip test at home. the leukocyte part changed from nude to purplish? but not covering the whole square, nitrate doesnt change colour and rbc is same base colour just with tiny green dots? unsure of the results.
•i am still in pain, left inner labia, red patch or whatever and ulcers/lesions are still there. Now right inner labia hurts as well. Both labias and clit/clitoris hood feels sensitive or just uncomfortably painful. its going to be 4 months since initial symptoms and i still have no idea what i have. im suffering. please help me. anybody.
** i have hypothyroid and im taking levothyroxine 50mcg daily.

Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.
We passed a section where someone had thrown a can of red paint all over the walls, the amount of those ‘S’ symbols was more terrifying.
We saw light up ahead, we were passing our first grate. It was kind of daunting looking up towards it. Even getting on each other's shoulders we couldn't reach. There was an array of broken beer bottles and glass was everywhere, under the grate was a dead snake amongst some debris.
We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.
“Cooooweeee” we shouted in unison, the sound echoing in all directions.
We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.
Some yobbo crackhead chick in her fifties with this ratty pink tank top that was all stretched half showing her saggy titties. “What the fuck you think you little cunts doing down here.” This chick screeched at us through her few teeth or something along the lines of that. She just exploded at us with a barrage of threats.
We were shocked silenced moving together to make one mass.
One of the boys screamed when a skinny guy emerged from the darkness. He was covered in tattoos with scraggly hair and a beard, he was all crazy eyed and pantless.
Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.
The others were already climbed down, we were soon by their side panting in the grass and wiping away our tears so the others couldn't see.
We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
Growing up and looking back they were probably just homeless drug addicts freaked out from a bunch of children's voices yelling out coooweee from the underground where they thought they were alone. That would have scared the shit outta me if I was them.
Good times.

Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.
We passed a section where someone had thrown a can of red paint all over the walls, the amount of those ‘S’ symbols was more terrifying.
We saw light up ahead, we were passing our first grate. It was kind of daunting looking up towards it. Even getting on each other's shoulders we couldn't reach. There was an array of broken beer bottles and glass was everywhere, under the grate was a dead snake amongst some debris.
We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.

We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.

Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.

We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
