This was the second week I’ve been trying to call 811, and have them come out and mark underground utilities, since I planned on putting in a fence/gates/privacy fences, which requires me digging multiple 2-3’ deep holes in the yard.
Every time I call I get the “they will be there within 3 days” response. This past Friday I again made a call and the person on the phone was rather rude and told me whoever told me “3 days” was not correct, and that KUB has up until project starts to get out there. They then proceeded to ask me when the project is due to begin. I told them that I’m starting at 7am Saturday (less than 24hr after phone call). They told me someone will be out to mark utilities before I start the work. Meantime, I can check status updates online.
I spent all day Friday and Saturday at home, and no one showed up. It would be impossible for me to miss anyone coming onto my property to mark utilities. Checked the website for updates and it states that KUB has been out and found no conflict to dig. But as I’ve already said, there is no way between me, my security system and my dogs that we would have missed anyone on our property. I also know there is at least a sewer line that runs in the area where I need to dig, as well as gas line/water line at the front.
Has anyone dealt with anything similar?

So this is the second speaker of the exact same model that completely dies after plugging it in. It's a night time sound machine that rests on my headboard, model Sound Oasis BST-400
I plugged both of them into the built in USB plug in the headboard and they both just stopped turning on noatter how long I hold the power button. They both still showed a red light when plugged in to indicate charging. They both wouldn't turn on when unplugged as well. The first one actually worked for a couple weeks before dying in the headboard outlet, the second died instantly, and it worked for a second before I plugged it in.
The stock charger states output is 5v/2.1A, the built in USB outlet in my headboard states 5v/2.4A output. Is there too much power going to the speaker from the headboard leading to its demise? It's odd because no other electronic I charge there has had any issues from my smart watch, tablet, smart phone, galaxy buds, hearing aids, other Bluetooth speaker. It makes no sense to me that this particular speaker dies from plugging it in, where the manual specifically states it can be left plugged in. Shouldn't the speaker only draw its maximum anyways and the extra 0.3A wouldn't have an effect on it?

2024.06.09 15:19 Chotofoco Catch-22. Peace, longing and shame, after 4 months of NC
4 months ago, I said goodbye to LO, a former partner I became limerent for after our relationship (which I ended, I 'didn't feel' it). When the LE began (in the middle of burnout), I was extremely anxious, in constant pain and thought of her non-stop. Saw her a few times, which only made it worse, and eventually explained to her what was going on, and she understood that the healthy and loving thing to do was to say goodbye, for now.
The past 140 days have been brutal, and slowly I managed to get my life on the rails again. The ruminations come and go, and each morning I have about 2-3 seconds before the longing kicks in again. I expect it, and accept it, and remind myself it is not about her. (Found this video quite helpful)

For me it will really depend on if Letterboxd will let us filter movies and shows. For instance, when I visit my stats page, I don’t want certain actors to suddenly rise or fall because of logging shows. I don’t want, let’s say Hank Azaria, to suddenly be my most watched actor just because he’s been in some movies I’ve watched + he voice acted in a shit ton of Simpsons episodes.

Yes, how he acted with her in love den was inappropriate and disrespectful to rushali, especially when he committed to her and he claims to love her. He is expecting rushali to trust him but even if shubhi said stuff about rushali (that mindfucked him), where is his trust for rushali?! Doing all that he did, not maintaining a boundary is totally not cool.
But what point exactly shubhi has against Harsh? He was actually sweet to her in love den, it was shot 6 hours so we only saw a spicy version of it. But he said sorry and in todays clip, it was mentioned shubhi's complaint was Rushali said sorry to her but Harsh did not. But we all saw he did.
In one of the unseen undekha clip, before dance task, its seen rushali is crying cause she doesn't want to perform against shubhi, as that would further sabotage their relationship and anicka is making the point to harsh. Hey!
I've been single for 6 years and I've decided to do something about it! I've tried a couple of dating apps in the past and quite frankly they suck. I've posted on here a lot over the last few years and met some cool, and some not so cool, people so now here I am rewriting my post again to see who else is around!
I'm 26 and from South East England. Physically, I'm fat (cuddly 😛) I've got short brown hair, blue/greyish eyes, a nose, 2 arms, 2 legs, and all that usual stuff. I'm also 6'3 so if you fancy sitting on my shoulders and seeing what the weather's like up here then I'm definitely up for it! Relationship wise I can be quite dorky and weird when I'm with someone I know well enough. I'm also a massive fan of cuddles so hopefully you like them as much as me!
In my free time, I do quite a lot of gaming, although not as much as I used to. I've got a massive box of films and TV shows that I'm gradually working my way through. It's mostly horror and sci-fi films at the moment, and I could definitely do with someone else to cuddle up and watch them with! I'm also into Warhammer 40k, but I haven't built or painted anything for ages so I've mostly got a cabinet full of grey plastic at the moment... I would like to do some travelling to tick things off my bucket list, but travelling alone is never as much fun as having someone to go with! I'm currently looking into a trip to Svalbard, but a lot of the activities have a minimum of two people so it'd be even less fun to travel there alone!

I've been single for 6 years and I've decided to do something about it! I've tried a couple of dating apps in the past and quite frankly they suck. I've posted on here a lot over the last few years and met some cool, and some not so cool, people so now here I am rewriting my post again to see who else is around!
I'm 26 and from South East England. Physically, I'm fat (cuddly 😛) I've got short brown hair, blue/greyish eyes, a nose, 2 arms, 2 legs, and all that usual stuff. Relationship wise I can be quite dorky and weird when I'm with someone I know well enough. I'm also a massive fan of cuddles so hopefully you like them as much as me!
In my free time, I do quite a lot of gaming, although not as much as I used to. I've got a massive box of films and TV shows that I'm gradually working my way through. It's mostly horror and sci-fi films at the moment, and I could definitely do with someone else to cuddle up and watch them with! I'm also into Warhammer 40k, but I haven't built or painted anything for ages so I've mostly got a cabinet full of grey plastic at the moment... Hi, posting here in case anyone has the same issue. I have filed a ticket with Microsoft and they replicated the issue:, so you can follow up with the link below.
Here's my request:
I had a folder shared with me, and I could fully sync it to my own mac - all the office files were available offline on my own mac (word, excel, ppt). It appeared as a folder in Finder in the Onedrive folder.
Since yesterday the shared folder has disappeared from finder, and all the files are no longer on the mac. They don't show up in a spotlight search. The folder has been replaced by a url that opens the shared folder online.
The folder is fully available when I access Onedrive through the web.
I can also open the shared files on Onedrive through the native Mac apps, if they appear in recent files, or browse to "Online locations", but these only show the recent locations that I had accessed through finder. I can't browse the entire folder through an app.
I have tried the following:

Hello, why is it so hard to get support from Twitch? Do they not give a damn about users? Do they think they dont have any problems? Even reporting a bug is something nearly impossible to do, and you have to try very hard to do it. So why would I want to contribute to development of service that does not care about me? Mostly because I have no other alternatives. Everytime I watch (or play) a stream to sleep and it ends, I am stucked with "twitch app" on my lock screen displaying a play/pause for a stream that has already ended and does not want to go away (even when closing app) untill I play other streamer that is online, and even then sometimes it doesnt want to switch. Where do I even report things like that?

Just finished watching this movie on Amazon Prime and didn’t find any previous posts here with any significant discussion about the content. I’m curious what others think of it, good or bad. I’m going to focus on the bad but others feel free to share what you liked or correct me if I’m out of line with my critical thoughts.
I found it entertaining but also seriously lacking. As you may know, it is considered by many to be the precursor to later airline and other disaster movies, including the comedy Airplane. It does some things well but not enough, in my opinion.
Spoilers
The film starts out with a mild dose of humor as we are introduced to the passengers of the doomed airliner, via a style that I immediately recognized from the tv shows Love Boat and Fantasy Island. We also get the much more serious intro to John Wayne’s character pilot Dan Roman and his losses.
Then as the flight begins from Hawaii to San Francisco, we learn more about the passengers, largely through flashbacks, as more of their stories are told, with some humor and some much more melodramatic, also a precursor to the future airliner disaster movies especially.
But for my purposes I want to focus on the aspects that simply didn’t make sense to me and detracted from what should have been building tension and a feeling of realism which would have made the film better for me. First, while there was later discussion of what was going wrong with the plane and what they needed to do to survive, there were several points where the lack of dialogue among the pilots and navigator seemed unrealistic. Specifically the unexplained vibrations that everyone was feeling but was initially shrugged off. It wasn’t until the stewardess got burned by spilled coffee and told the pilots that they even started to do something to find the cause. They knew there was an oil leak in engine 4 (from the preflight inspection) but that never got mentioned again.
Then, the scene where the passenger with the gun gets up and ends up discharging the gun in the struggle that ensued. Simultaneously, engine one catches on fire and the propeller disintegrates, causing a fuel leak that means they are almost certainly going to have to ditch in the ocean. I had to rewatch the scene four times before I finally concluded that the gunshot had nothing to do with the engine fire and the timing of the two events was purely coincidental!
I’m sorry but that severely damaged the entire credibility of the movie for me because nothing about that made sense to me. A single pistol gunshot seems extremely unlikely to cause an engine to be destroyed but yet that’s exactly how the filmmaker appeared to set it up and lead the audience to believe. But none of the follow through made sense, given that premise. Yes the Swedish (?) passenger took the gun away from the jealous man, but none of the other passengers talked about what had just happened to either clarify that the gun had nothing to do with it or that the guy had nearly or potentially killed them all if the plane crashes. Surely some would believe he was entirely to blame! Or the crew would explain what the facts are and that the gunshot was not the cause. No one even mentions that they have a homicidal man onboard and they all just act like he’s no longer a threat. Even the Swede gives him the gun back when he asks, only to watch him immediately get up with the intention of killing the man he wants to kill in the first place! No one else knows or cares.
This alone ruins any credibility the movie had. But wait, there’s more! After the engine failure, supposedly there are 11 minutes they have to make up to reach San Francisco. And they think they have made it up, until the navigator realizes he made a terrible mistake and got confused about miles vs nautical miles. But then shortly afterwards 11 minutes becomes the magic number again. The only hinted at explanation that is given for how they made this time up is that they flew slightly slower and lower to conserve fuel. If that’s true, why weren’t they doing that earlier? Instead they throw luggage overboard but never discussed whether that helped or not. Apparently it did!
Finally, most of the final scene is ludicrous, with the exception of Dan Roman walking off at the very end whistling the memorable theme, which was perfect. My criticism is of the lack of seriousness concerning the multiple engine fires and fuel leaks. Yeah, the press is there but the passengers disembark as though everything was normal, except for the rush to avoid the press and see loved ones. No emergency procedures. No cautions from the crew, just sauntering down the steps. The PR guy is smoking a cigar! I honestly don’t know what would have been procedure in the 50s for a near disaster. But certainly medical personnel would have been on hand to evaluate any possible injuries, information would have been written down about reimbursement for the luggage, follow up by the FAA, or SOMETHING. And the crew all just says good night and walks away like it was just another flight. Even if formal inquiries were not done in the 1950s, I still can’t imagine they wouldn’t have wanted to talk about what they just survived amongst themselves, even if briefly. Not to mention that the attempted murderer is allowed to disembark normally too!
Also I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the slap scene that obviously plays into the 1980 Airplane. It wasn’t believable in 1954 but gives an antecedent to the hilarious scene in Airplane. Wayne really wasn’t that heroic. He just had to be the voice of reason and calmness in the midst of Robert Stack’s meltdown as the lead pilot.
The movie was too long and 20 or more minutes could have easily been cut. Even drawn out, I was mostly entertained, despite my criticism, and enjoyed seeing where disaster films began.

Okay . The title is too long. But I tried my best to explain the movie. I was very little when I watched it in TV. I watched this between 2003 - 2010 . There is a possibility that this movie is lot old than that. Because the TV used to show very old movies too.
Here grandpa is in mountain or a forest kind of. Girl hates to come and live with grand pa at first. I think she never has met him before. Her parents make her be with grand pa for a month or something time period either because the girl has an illness. So away from town air is good. Or some other issue. Girl slowly gets used to how things happen at grandpa's place , learn to love farming , animals there. Grows very fond of her grand pa. Here grandpa is in mountain or a forest kind of. Girl hates to come and live with grand pa at first. I think she never has met him before. Her parents make her be with grand pa for a month or something time period either because the girl has an illness. So away from town air is good. Or some other issue. Girl slowly gets used to how things happen at grandpa's place , learn to love farming , animals there. Grows very fond of her grand pa. Tbh I think it's a good idea, porn like that shouldn't be on tv for anyone to see, nor in a theater unless it's rated nc-17.
Think about the yougth that could be watching, think about how it can make people delusional and get a false sense of what's real.

I (29M) met a lovely, brilliant young woman (24F) online, and we hit it off about six weeks ago. Our time zones are close, but we are still thousands of miles away and on different continents. We’ve been texting almost every day, and had a long video call about 2 weeks ago where I showed her around my city.
I’ve never met a romantic interest online, and I’m struggling with how to approach our situation. I prefer face-to-face, in-person interaction. Reading body language and feeling vibrations between myself and others has been the cornerstone of all my successful friendships and relationships so far.
The past week I’ve really been in my head. I have never been this attracted to anyone, ever. So I’m afraid that will cloud my judgement, and that I will sabotage our chance of success. I’ve made myself very open and vulnerable, and I think maybe it’s too early for that. I fear that my enthusiasm may be misinterpreted as eagerness or worse, desperation.
I’ve already started making mistakes that I fear will lead to her losing interest. I find myself trying to fix all her problems for her instead of just listening. I send her money (she’s never asked for it) when I hear of her struggling to balance work/life/studies. She’s very smart, independent, and driven. So it’s not really necessary for me to do this, but I want to.
Do I need to slow down, or even step away? Are y’all seeing red flags in my story? I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and respond.
