Hey all! This is a bit weird for me being almost 40 and looking for friends. But here I am anyways lol. Mainly looking for someone to message throughout the day and get to know. Maybe game with if we have that in common. I do work from home so there’s no one to really talk to during the day.
I’m married and have 2 kids, a 6 month old son and a 9 year old daughter. I’m into basic nerdy things. Gaming, star wars, super heroes, DnD, anything Disney, etc. Also trading card games like Disney Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited.
I watch a ton of Critical Role stuff especially Campaign 3! Currently on episode 74, so if you watch too, let me know! Also like to watch Battle of the Brands on YouTube.
I’m also into movies and tv, some sports, pro wrestling. Collecting action figures and retro games is one of hobbies as well. Anything 80s/90s nostalgia i absolutely love so if you want to talk childhood and growing up back then, i’m down! I miss the good old days where we went to arcades and italian sunday dinners at the grandparents and where the world just wasn’t as nutso as it is today lol.
My kids are everything to me and I do love talking about them. Love being silly with them and spending time with them (when they aren’t driving me crazy 🤪 lol)..I would prefer you be around my age and have kids as well just so we have that stuff in common off the bat! I’m socially awkward most times but very easy to get along with. I’m definitely considered an introvert. But once you get to know me I break out of that awkward shell. I do like to use sarcasm, and mostly like to try and make people laugh because a world without laughter would just be horrible.

Main Query : Is there a way to increase my monthly cash in transaction limit in Maya ? Currently, it is up to 100k monthly so it would take me five (5) months if I will transfer up to 500k total (hypothetically to match the PDIC coverage). This would be too slow for me since I am rebalancing and diversifying my investment portfolio and I need to buy crypto positions while they are still in the post BTC halving accumulation phase.
To be honest, I don't remember how I registered and what documents I have submitted during the KYC/verification process. I have not used Maya for a long while despite completing the sign-up way back so I don't remember my level of verification if that applies on Maya at all.
Side Query : Will I be penalized for having a negative 10 (-10) balance because of a debit adjustment from Maya ?
This happened because when I transferred account balance from Maya to Maya Crypto, I included the PhP 20 "free" money on the balance transfer. I was not aware they reverse this thing every once in a while. LOL, I can no longer do any cash in for the month cause I reached my monthly limit already. So I would need to wait until June 1st to do the cash in once the monthly transaction limit resets.

This is a hypothetical observation on possible ways they could have made that massive windfall. PLEASE ADD

1. Most obvious reduce drivers pay
2. Raise rates
3. Massive surges that disappear when you get there but still charge the rider the surged pricing.
4. Flooding the market - Attract drivers by saying they can make $25 or $30 an hour but due to expenses and loss of your cars value it’s below min wage. Then because of the flooded market you pay less because there is so many suckers I mean drivers that will take crap because they dont know better or want to keep their diamond level. 5.. …..

Super budget in mind like below 200$ for my whole pc build in spending. Got the graphics card for a good price and everything else needed for a pc for free. Don't want to spend a lot of money, just want to have a decent gaming experience, no high expectations.

Was my daily driver for the last 7 years, replaced by a 7700X. I also have a Sapphire Nitro Fury air cooled Radeon GPU. The card has been depricated by AMD and only Legacy drivers, are available through them, but community supported up to date drivers are available. This rig will support wireless PCVR gaming using the Quest 2 on low settings (probably Q3 as well, haven't tested) which blows away standalone VR headsets for graphical quality. Just need an ATX mid tower case with fans and a power supply (600-750 w recommended)

This card was approved last year on my old Amazon account and I used it quite well.
However, recently I changed my Amazon account and the card is not showing up on Amazon pay section (Manage card) and also I don’t see the cash back value on product page. I have manually saved the card but still it doesn’t show up on Amazon pay.

The headline says it all. 42 y/o male with $350K left on 6% 30 yr mortgage.
My plan is to use cash I have in a HYSA and a annuity that contract is up in June this year. I understand I will pay a 10% penalty on the annuity interest.
My goal is to save hundreds of thousands in interest owed to the lender, while having the pride of owning my home.
I have plenty in my TSP and Roth IRA and will retire from military service in 3 years with a pension and possible VA claim. This is an opportunity to also free myself from the poor choice of an annuity I took out in my 20's.
Am I crazy for doing this? Any perspective is appreciated.

I’m 32 and living with my husband. We have a mortgage of about £210k at 4.74%. This is hopefully our forever home.

At the moment my main dilemma is whether I should invest in stocks and shares ISA or just overpay the mortgage. While it seems like mortgage overpayment is an obvious choice (high interest rate), I wonder if investing isn’t a better option as I can use that tax free allowance and stock market is likely to grow faster than 4.74% in the long term. I will need that money in about 15 years so it seems like a good moment to start.
I’m thinking about the following split: £500 towards overpayments, £1000 towards S&S ISA. Is there anything I missed?
My husband has an emergency fund but at the moment isn’t interested in investing, I’m talking to him about increasing his pension contributions, we’re trying to work out the best % for him. He is happy to match £500 overpayments every month that I proposed. That will mean we’ll repay the mortgage in 10 years.

I was reading another thread explaining how, in the USA, once you peg it your unsecured debts, such as credit cards, die with you. Is it the same here? If it is, then should I ever get a 6 month warning from the quack I'd go on a stupid spending spree using as many cards as I could, buying stuff for the family.
What to buy though? Would the CC company chase the relatives for it? Should I just donate the max I could to charities, and let them fight it out? Or withdraw cash and give that away?

The headline says it all. 42 y/o male with $350K left on 6% 30 yr mortgage.
My plan is to use cash I have in a HYSA and a annuity that contract is done in June this year. I understand I will pay a 10% penalty on the annuity interest.
My goal is to save hundreds of thousands in interest to the bank while having the pride of owning my home.
I have plenty in my TSP and Roth IRA and will retire from military service in 3 years with a pension and possible VA claim. This is an opportunity to also free myself from the poor choice of an annuity I took out in my 20's.
Am I crazy for doing this? Any perspective is appreciated.
