Hi there,
Just received a letter from NYS, they claimed they never received my taxes for 2019. the more I looked into it, looks like NYS never received it. Called my tax guy he claims "it was processed" but his software doesn't keep of filings past 3 years. This seems highly suspect that there isn't a time sample on file when it was efiled. Looking at the draft copy he sent me and his signature forms it said auto withdrawal of funds from my bank account. On the final copy he sent me, the summary sheet said to mail a check. my normal process is to read my entire draft copy and then sign. This was our process for so many years I worked with him. We always did auto width drawl and never had an issue, so I never thought to actually check that the final copy would be any different. He even told me I am the 1% that actually reads what he preps. Big mistake that I didn't review the final copy
Calling NYS they didn't receive 2019 tax forms, nor did they receive any payments. check my bank account statements around those times. Still nada.
NYS rep told me to file asap, and when the bill is generated you can write a letter and plea your case. she was going to note something in my file then we got disconnected. She seemed like human though.
Question for you guys, do tax software keep a proof of error or of successful submission on file? is it really 3 years? I have a hard time believing that. I've used him for so many years, while hes been an excellent tax person, when it comes to owning up to mistakes, hes a bit dodgy.
Q1) besides pleaing, is there anything else I can do here? Are there any other confirmations that can be dug up? I am of course going to submit as soon as he sends me what I need to send. and write a letter point my signatures.
Q2) Whats the likely hood of NYS dropping penalties and or interest? Gut is saying yes to penalties but probably not the interest.
Big lessons learned: Going to add to my process, Keep proof of electronic filing confirmations. and proof payment went to and from my bank account every year moving forward.

So I loved the first Helldivers and love this one even more. I have nothing negative to say about helldivers 2. Through all the nerfs and buffs and bugs I’ve always found a way to to adjust my play style and still have fun.
There are some things I think would make great additions to the game and maybe play in to the lore a little more.
What stuff would you like to see that isn’t negative or about fixing bugs and nerfing and buffing, just fun side things?

There are some things I think would make great additions to the game and maybe play in to the lore a little more.
- Earned items - as in the first game some capes were earned by doing certain things, specifically defeating bosses and such. I think it would be cool to bring back something similar. For example: Kill 1 million bugs and get a cape or maybe different ship name options or rank options. Maybe in the future if they ever bring weapon or armor shaders or ship “decorations”.
- Player profiles - kind of going of the last thing, perhaps being able to earn medals for completing certain tasks or participating in specific operations and being able to display a ribbon rack on your profile or something similar.
- Make it personal - being able to chose what planet you are from (if you talk to the engineer crewmate she says she have never been to Super Earth, indicating she is from one of the other planets.) But it could be a fun little boost for some when your home planet comes under attack. Get mail from home or school kids. Some of those letters the kids would send to the soldiers in Iraq. “Thanks for killing bad guys. I hope you don’t die. Thank you soldier.” Or maybe you get a “Dear John/Jane” letter.
- Lore, lore, lore - I’ve loved the tidbits of lore we have gotten here and there and would love to see more even if it’s not in the game itself. Most of the “extended” lore at this point is speculation and theory.

On both DebateReligion and this subreddit u/Informal_Patience821 (Exion) has been making a series of posts that make claims about translations of the Hebrew Old Testament. On DebateReligion there were enough people who know enough about Hebrew to debunk Exion’s claims showing both Exion doesn’t know Hebrew and is an unreliable source of information. Unfortunately is seems most people on this subreddit aren’t familiar enough with Hebrew to see the problems in those posts so I will be addressing them. I’ll start with a summary of a just a few issues from their earlier posts and then dig into their most recent post on Haggai 2.
In https://www.reddit.com/DebateReligion/comments/1c9e54z/songs\_of\_solomon\_are\_prophesying\_muhammad\_moses/ they cited the first word of Songs of Solomon 1:2 as ביִשָּׁקֵ֙נִי֙. The problem is the first word doesn’t have the Hebrew letter ב, that’s actually the verse number. To illustrate how bad this is it would be like copying an alphabetized list with an entry “b chicken thighs”, removing the space making it “bchicken thighs”, and then trying to translate bchicken as if it’s a real English word. In that post several comments noted this issue, and Exion acknowledged it. However, when copying their post to https://www.reddit.com/Quraniyoon/comments/1chuul3/songs\_of\_solomon\_prophecies\_of\_muhammad\_moses\_and/ they failed to fix this known issue.
This also isn’t the first time they’ve done this. In https://www.reddit.com/DebateReligion/comments/1c0x8sp/revisiting\_isaiah\_53\_the\_prophecy\_of\_the\_false/ they made claims about the meaning of ישוחח. They also cited a Hebrew dictionary to defend their claim. The problem I noted in my comment was their source listed two different verb forms which had slightly different meanings. Exion took the meaning of the Qal form but the word was actually in the Polel form. This is problematic enough because even with basic Hebrew one should know to use the meaning for the correct verb form since it changes the meaning. However after acknowledging my command the next day they copied the post to https://www.reddit.com/Muslim/comments/1c2onfa/the\_old\_testament\_says\_because\_they\_will\_think/ without fixing the error.
Another problem is their citation of a fictitious source. u/c0d3rman, u/arachnophilia, and myself tried to find the citation, weren’t able to, and pressed Exion on this. The second phrase begins with ו which is the Hebrew conjunctive indicating the two phrases are connected. They also have parallel structure. The first word is the same in both. Both are followed by a second word with 3 consonants with those same consonants appearing in the third word but with the prefix ב and suffix ו” This parallel combined with the conjunctive tells us the phrases should be interpreted similarly. The traditional translation “from new moon to new moon and from sabbath to sabbath” keeps the parallel but Exion’s translation breaks it showing they aren’t being consistent with their translation.
A more serious problem is they take Sabbath as the subject of the verb. This isn’t possible. To make the consonants שבת the verb to cease it would be the Qal perfect third person MASCULINE singular. The problem is the first word doesn’t have the Hebrew letter ב, that’s actually the verse number. To illustrate how bad this is it would be like copying an alphabetized list with an entry “b chicken thighs”, removing the space making it “bchicken thighs”, and then trying to translate bchicken as if it’s a real English word. In that post several comments noted this issue, and Exion acknowledged it. However, when copying their post to https://www.reddit.com/Quraniyoon/comments/1chuul3/songs\_of\_solomon\_prophecies\_of\_muhammad\_moses\_and/ they failed to fix this known issue.
This also isn’t the first time they’ve done this. In https://www.reddit.com/DebateReligion/comments/1c0x8sp/revisiting\_isaiah\_53\_the\_prophecy\_of\_the\_false/ they made claims about the meaning of ישוחח. They also cited a Hebrew dictionary to defend their claim. The problem I noted in my comment was their source listed two different verb forms which had slightly different meanings. Exion took the meaning of the Qal form but the word was actually in the Polel form. This is problematic enough because even with basic Hebrew one should know to use the meaning for the correct verb form since it changes the meaning. The phrase: "שבת בשבתו יבוא" is literally translated as "An end to His Sabbath shall come." But they interpreted "שׁבת" as "Sabbath" and also (for some weird reason) the term "בשבתו" simply as "Sabbath" as well, while it grammar speaks a different story:The problem is Exion translates the first phrase as “from new moon to new moon” which has the same prefix and suffix on the noun. Your support for Ukraine is a key issue for me as a constituent. I recently heard that the Biden administration has forbidden Ukraine from using American weapons to strike legitimate military targets inside Russia. Meanwhile, Russia’s air force launches missiles and glide bombs from within Russian territory on a daily basis, including ones provided to it by Iran.
A Ukrainian delegation was recently in DC to urge the Biden administration to change this senseless policy. After stopping Ukraine aid for six months because of political infighting, the last thing the Biden administration should be doing is limiting the effectiveness of Ukraine’s defenders. Prior to Russia launching its new Kharkiv offensive, Ukrainians reported having to watch for weeks as Russian troops and equipment massed near the Ukrainian border, unable to use US-supplied weapons to conduct preemptive strikes due to the Biden administration’s policy.
How much longer are we going to insist Ukrainians fight to defend their families with one arm tied? This policy joins a long list of red lines that were eventually rejected, all for supposedly deescalating the situation while Russia rapes, murders and erases entire Ukrainian cities from the map.
I ask that you do what is in your power to pressure the Biden administration to abandon this absurd and weak policy.

A research letter was published on May 3, 2024 titled Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A(H5N1) Virus Infection in a Dairy Farm Worker. (The picture is from the letter, look at the guy’s eyes! Yikes!!)
If you scroll all the way down to “Supplemental Material” you can download the full Supplementary Appendix, because it is in this Appendix that even more information is provided.
For example, page 6 of the Appendix mentions the mutations found in the farmworker virus, as compared to the current candidate vaccine viruses (CVVs). Note: The cross-references to other literature are my own. I maintain a timeline of events for my research into avian influenza, which includes outbreaks, past pandemics, scientific studies, basically anything avian-influenza related that I found noteworthy. I found that three of the four the mutations from were mentioned in prior studies and I thought that might be of interest here:
V210A:
-V210A mutation was in the H5N1 strain from the recent human case in Chile. The latter case was not a farmworker but was a man who lived near a beach where dead sea lions had been found, and so the authorities presumed some type of environmental exposure (although I don’t know if that was ever confirmed for sure). So it may be that these mutations in the HA gene are generated upon the virus entering a new host, like a human.
In the Appendix the authors also speculate about the exact manner in which these cows are becoming infected. The various scenarios they propose here clearly shows no one has any idea what is happening, but it was interesting to see it all in print.
The appendix also notes multiple times the difficulties in obtaining full information on these cattle outbreaks. There are several references to the inability to conduct an epidemiological investigation on the dairy farm where the worker was infected, and the authors note several times how a sample of the cattle on that farm was “not available” for comparison with the human strain. So there are some glaring gaps here that hopefully won’t be gaps forever. The more information we have the better.

I am a sales rep for clinical labs. I bring my clients (physician primary care offices) to labs in which the labs run the samples and I get paid commission on every sample I bring in. I applied for a position at a start up lab and already the owner is asking me to bring my sales rep friends on board. I let him know that I will need an offer letter before that. He is telling me that he can make me the VP of sales, which I have no interest in doing. It’s weird because I feel like he wants me to build his sales force, and bring more samples on for free, and then possibly let me go when he has enough volume.
I asked if my continued employment is contingent upon bringing more people on, and he replied that “it will build my umbrella”. He didn’t directly answer the question. How should I go about this?

Basically, I am the founder of quranbasics.org which is a non-profit organisation where new Muslims can begin their journey with the beautiful Quran by learning Al-Fatihah, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas in free, private lessons with a volunteer teacher.

*We're lucky to have a chill Egyptian Hafith Imam who taught Arabic and Quran in Saudi to Saudis, who is a volunteer himself and helps us double check new volunteer recitations are accurate enough to teach the basics. It's mostly about checking accurate letter pronunciations and isn't as strict or intimidating of a process as you might think. We don't expect Mishary Alafasy tajweed, nor is that a good starting point for teaching new Muslims.
tl;dr, do you want to join us in donating a few hours a month to teach new Muslims Al-Fatihah and get ongoing charity reward for every prayer etc of that new Muslims life, and from their kids, and their kids's kids… until the day of judgement?

I’m Canadian first, I’m not a Ukranian, Khalistan, Israel, China, Mexico first Canadian. I’m Canadian first for this beautiful country and my people (fellow canadians) and everything second. I’m not against immigration. Targeted immigration of high skilled professionals (doctors and nurses) who can get licensed here in Canada is great. This improves our healthcare crisis. If you can’t get licensed here though you shouldn’t be here. We need to prioritize Canadians first. The citizens of Canada, not China not India, not the US, not Israel. It’s also why I don’t support Israel sending Palestinians here for us to clean up their mess. We didn’t participate in that war. If Russia bears full responsibility for fixing Ukraine as the US says, Israel should have to fix Gaza, and pay for their healthcare needs it should not fall on Canada.

I’m Canadian first, I’m not a Ukranian, Khalistan, Israel, China, Mexico first Canadian. I’m Canadian first for this beautiful country and my people (fellow canadians) and everything second. We need to deport all illegals, end birthright citizenship to people born in Canada where atleast one parent doesn’t hold citizenship (ends anchor baby problem) and address our housing and healthcare crisis. Then and only then should we analyze our country’s needs and figure out a plan to permanent residence and citizenship based on those needs. Canadians can walk to McDonald’s we don’t need to provide citizenship and PR for Uber drivers. Walking to McDonald’s and picking up your food can decrease your need for hospital services later. We have 1M people in Canada today whose main form of income is gig work (uber, uber eats, door dash, skip the dishes). That’s a failure of government and the economy.

We also need to promote Canadian nationalism. Come to Canada bring the cool parts of your culture but assimilate. We also need country caps immediately to maintain Canadian culture and diversity. How the government allowed more than 40% of student visas to go to India alone is racist. It should be investigated. It’s absolutely unacceptable. How they also got 27% of all PR’s in one year over the rest of the world is also unacceptable and needs to be investigated.

No country should make up more than 7% of the total pool in any year and we should decrease all inflows of people for the next few years. What about the boomers? Fuck them for now. We’re in a population trap for the first time in modern history, everyone including immigrants is about to experience a massive decline in living standards and GDP per capita as we continuously see in Canada now. How do you escape the population trap and improve living standards? You decrease the amount of people you bring in. I’m not some xenophobic freak saying this, economists are and the bank of Canada is too. Enough is enough.

Last sunday, Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Koshta were struck and killed by Vedant Agarwal, 17, who was driving a Porshe Taycan (with no license plate) under the influence of alcohol. Vedant Agarwal is the son of well known builder Vishal Agarwal, the owner of Brahma Realty and Infrastructure. Due to his connections with the police and politicians, Vedant got out on bail in under a day. The lawyer representing him, Adv Prashant Patil, has been associated with the likes of people like Jacqueline Fernandez, Suraj Pancholi and many others.
Vedant, along with 2 of his friends were seen partying in nearby clubs in Kalyani Nagar. They returned to their car drunk at 3:15AM, and Vedant forced his driver to let him drive the car, even though the driver kept asking him to not do it. The Agarwal family is now trying to shift the blame on the innocent driver, making it look like he was the one who was driving when the accident took place. According to law, Vedants father too should be facing prosecution and jailtime.
The deceased, Anish and Ashwini, came from Madhya Pradesh in search of job opportunities and were working in IT companies. There is very little coverage about the victims and their backgrounds. Imagine what their families must be going through. Pune police has failed miserably in providing them justice.
We demand justice for the victims' families, and we refuse to let the influence of wealth and connections overshadow the gravity of this tragedy. This isn't just about Anish and Ashwini, these filthy people of Pune have been getting away by committing crimes since a long time and it's time every single citizen, including YOU, stand up for YOUR rights, or it could be you or your family members getting killed tomorrow.
