I'm about to DM my first game, so it's not like I'm experienced, but in doing a crap ton of research, here's things that I like and don't like about it.
Things I like
Everything is 2d6. This is fantastic because you can grab those dice out of a monopoly board or something. New players coming into most TTRPGs have to contend with a staggering amount of dice, this simplifies everything to be functionally the same roll with the same results- 0-6 is a fail, 7-9 is a mild success, 10-12 is a big success.
You level up if you RP well, not from combat. This is nice for me, since this game is very collaborative, the proper way to munchkin is to get really into your character's rp journey.
High damage=high vulnerability- This means that it's not always strategic to burn your strongest abilities, since they also damage your fatigue, which is your shield from taking conditions.
Conditions are easy to RP and can only be solved with RP- Again, very fun. Conditions are emotional damage rather than difficult to portray physical damage, and can be resolved by acting like one would if one felt that way or by getting support from an ally.
Everyone is a healer but nobody can simply say "I want to heal"- it's a comfort action that does it, which needs to be properly acted out.
Classes are more or less loose character archetypes with flaws that must be acted out and dealt with, which is fun. My favorite is "the destined", who is on a slow march to their inevitable fate, but they all have some weird nonsense to deal with.
I like calling defeated players "out of combat" instead of the DnD standard unconscious or dead. Players do not get to RP unconscious or dead characters. "Out of combat" characters could be chi blocked, tied to a tree, caught in a trap, stuck in a hole... I donno, but they're still able to talk and participate instead of getting on their phone, they just can't act in the combat.
There is a fantastic system in place for learning and mastering more advanced skills. Very few systems have a learning system in place and I adore it.
Things I dislike
There is no actual limit for movement set by the game, leading me to believe that the writers were imagining more of a "theater of the mind" situation, but like... some of us like to make little graph sheets because it's hard to track lots of characters without a visual representation. Was this game meant to be Dragon Quest or something? I need to know where everything is in a 3d space and can't have everyone just zipping to any corner of the map at any time. I want limits to where characters can and cannot go, and how far they can go, and that's got to be homebrewed.
There are tons of character sheets for story heroes, who are less likely to conflict with the protagonists, and not nearly enough villains for players to deal with because all the stories take place in the lull between the action in the series. I mean... it's great that Sokka's all statted out and has his own abilities, but like... 1 in 40 campaigns are going to fight Sokka. I want some new bad guys to deal with. The game doesn't want to tread on the canon of the series so it's unwilling to invent consequential bad guys, meaning the DM has to invent consequential bad guys.
For a show all about controlling the environment, there are 0 maps of environments. Where are my maps? Where's my grid of Omashu's mail room, or a fire nation prison, or the pro bending arena and backstage, or king Bumi's arena, or like any of the 100 other cool places for characters to fight? Why do they spend an entire page detailing exactly how to "plead with enemies" instead of giving me some dang fold out maps?
There is too much lore detailing how heavily guarded the heroes are. Zuko, a 15 fatigue 5 condition character, is guarded by several 5 fatigue 3 condition Kyoshi warriors and Suki, a 15 fatigue 5 condition character. If this was not Zuko, this would be a fantastic boss and dragon set up, but it's Zuko, who is actually fairly reasonable and decent to his citizens and foreigners. Why would a party try to kill Zuko? Now I want to steal Zuko's stats and apply them to someone else, because in two entire workbooks there is no better defended character that requires more strategy to get around than Zuko.
The eras are not equally detailed. Aang and Korra's eras get a lot of info, Kyoshi's get a bit, Roku gets 2 characters total and the 100 year war gets 0 stated out characters. I get that these aren't campaign books but good lord give me something. MAPS MAYBE?!? SAMPLE MAPS? WITH MOVEMENT RULES?
They dedicate two. entire. pages to "custom moves" that basically says "look... if it's complex enough you're going to have to homebrew that sucker".
It's unclear what the duration of passive buffs is.
Bending is too cool, conceptually, for a system that doesn't reward combat.
Conclusion
Honestly, if I was making a system for this, I'd keep the balance and growth systems. In Avatar Legends, combat is costly and not as worthwhile, making players incentivized to talk or stealth their way around it, which I would like if it wasn't based on a show about people with really cool superpowers. I like the mastery system as well.
The issue comes from the fact that there is an established canon for the show, and the avatar is the hero who solves the biggest problems in the world. If there is a major issue, the avatar is meant to arrive and deal with it, they have no other job. Avatars in this book have a fleshed out supporting cast (though Roku doesn't get stats for 2 of his 3 friends), who would reasonably appear in their areas if there was an issue. If there's a fire nation issue in the Aang era, firelord Zuko is gonna be there or he's gonna send someone to be there, and that's just the situation. You have to plan around established lore rather than using it as a plot hook.
Airbenders are a rare commodity in 2/5 of the eras, and those are the ones people know the best.
Basically, I think this game should have its own craphole world. I think they should really focus on putting this game in the Kuruk era rather than the others- the avatar is a drunkard who's off fighting spirits and does not have time for your nonsense, every country is a mess, let me tell you precisely why, and who may or may not help you depending on their mood.
Anyways, I'm drawing my own maps for the game and having a great time, so... maybe I just like maps.

Original story:
Long story short, my girlfriend and I have been living together for around 10 months. When she first moved in she insisted on paying rent and I was reluctant to charge her if it didn’t work out but she forced it and paid a month. Then I found out she’s struggling for money, unable to pay for things, is in a lot of debt and lives month to month. She agreed with me that she’d start when she clears the debt. Fast forward to Christmas I find out she’s been stealing my clothes to give to her family as gifts (another post on here). She lied for 2 weeks blaming me until I showed her footage of her taking the things from the camera in the living room (to watch the dog when I’m out).
I later then discover through letters and texts I’ve seen appear on her phone she’s been doing nothing to pay any of it off, so I confront her. She tells me and shows me messages that her mother and sisters constantly guilt trip her into giving them money and have for years.
They’ll message her on pay day asking for it and she feels bad saying no, despite non of them ever paying it back. Her mum alone owes her over £6000. She has taken a ton of loans out for her family and they leave her with the debt and don’t pay it back. Luckily her credit is now at the point where nobody will loan to her but she still tries and does it for them. I also find out (I went through her finances, yes I shouldn’t have but something wasn’t adding up and I was being lied to) that in the space of 20 minutes she spent £300 on gambling sites. All during this time she isn’t paying a penny towards rent, bills anything. She’ll occasionally buy food shopping or trips out to Starbucks. I tell her enough is enough and she needs to start paying her way. If she can give handouts to her family and gamble she can pay for where she lives and she’s taken me for a ride when she should’ve been saving and clearing debts.
I make roughly 5x what she does but I’ve been fair in that the bills are split proportionally to income. She’ll earn £1400 per month and pays £600 which includes rent and her share of the bills. I take on the rest which is substantially more but I believe it’s not fair to take more.
On the 1st of this month she tells me she can’t pay rent. She says she’s paid out too much on our trips to Starbucks, food shopping and I’ll get it when I get it but she doesn’t understand why I need it this month when she’s lived for free the past 9 months anyway. I’ve asked her to explain where her money has exactly gone but she tells me I’m controlling and it’s non of my business. In fairness she will pay when we go food shopping but rarely in comparison to me. I’ve kicked her out as of yesterday and told her she needs to find somewhere to live. She is however pregnant and she’s using that card as a way to guilt trip me and make out I’ve thrown out her and my child onto the streets.
In my opinion she is taking me for a ride and prioritising her family that is using her over her own family she’s started? What’s the solution here to getting her to see she’s not treating me fairly?
TLDR: Girlfriend hasn’t paid rent for 9 months whilst she was supposed to be clearing debts. Instead she was giving money to her family, gambling and I’ve thrown her out because she’s refusing to pay again. She is pregnant.
Update:
I sat her down and gave her an ultimatum early last week. I explained to her that we are a family, and became a family when she decided to have a baby with me. I told her if we’re going to stay together she’s going to have to be a lot more open, contribute and no more taking on debt she can’t afford which brings it to my door when she can’t pay. I also told her I want to see her bank statements because I suspect she has a gambling problem and is in some serious debt. She agreed to all of this and committed to showing me the bank statements when I ask and says going forward she’ll pay towards bills. I believe she’s turned a corner and start getting along with her better and she moves back in.
As I was sat next to her phone last night when she went to grab a drink her phone lit up with a text message. It read “loan accepted by X lender, click here to accept.” I immediately called her out and she starts crying telling me she has no money left again for the month and she’s had to resort to payday loans for some money. I tell her she should’ve have come to me and tell her I explicitly said no more loans.
She also tells me she won’t be able to afford to pay towards bills again. She works full time and brings home around £1400-£1200 a month dependant on hours but a lot of the time she phones sick so gets sick pay which is a lot less. I ask to see her bank statements and she refuses telling me I’m being controlling by asking when she’s told me and I don’t need to see them. That’s the last straw for me. I’m almost certain she’s been giving it away at this point again or gambling. I give her a scenario: “Your baby is starving and needs food and there’s non in the house, what are you going to do.”
She replies “you’ll have to pay.” That’s fine I’ll happily support my son I tell her because the mother is clearly a deadbeat. So I ask to see her Facebook Messenger to see if her family have been hitting her up for free money again and conveniently all of the family members that borrow from her have the chats cleared (she says she deletes them to be tidy, yet mines still there).
I told her this isn’t going to work and she tells me I’m a controlling freak basically and she agrees and I’ve not heard from her since. Moral of the story is she’s too damaged from her upbringing I’m guessing and some people you just can’t change. She still messages me asking how I am but I’m sjust ignoring her except from anything baby related. I need to move on.
I know a lot of people questioned whether she’s pregnant, how stupid I was to get her pregnant (I agree) and if it’s mine. I’ve been to every scan so I know she’s pregnant, as for if it’s mine I’ve never suspected cheating but she’s a serial liar so I will be forcing a DNA test through the courts. I posted on a couple of different subs to make sure I wasn’t getting biased opinions. The above story is 100% true (I wish it wasn’t believe me) but my focus is now getting as far away as possible from her for my own sake.
Final update:
After a couple of weeks or learning she was sleeping around on family members or friends sofas I allowed her back into the house given that she is pregnant. Around a month ago. Out of concern for the baby really given she’s now 8 months pregnant. Stupid on my part and I’m now going to explain why I regret it.
I’ve recently moved house (a couple of months ago) and she was involved in the packaging and unpacking whilst I was out. Mainly unpacking. I had a pretty large stack of cash in the drawer of a cabinet in living room. Around £400-500. This was a Christmas gift from my parents. During this time I also sold a lot of old furniture including a sofa which she begged and begged for me to sell it to her mother. I begrudgingly accepted this. She told me her mother had asked to borrow the money from her repeatedly to buy it from me and asked if she could pay a couple of weeks after she took it. No biggie, that’s fine I tell her.
Her mother collects the sofa, giving me £100 cash initially and tells me the rest will be with me in a week. A week comes round and she tells me it’ll be next month but she’s not happy as it’s collapsed and I need to come take a look. I tell her it was fine was she collected it and I’m not taking a look. Basically if you don’t want it I’ll collect it and sell it to someone who wants to pay. She tells me I’m not welcome in their house. My girlfriend (ex) told her there was nothing wrong with the sofa at all when it was collected and her mother tells her she’s also not welcome. My ex then flips it onto me telling me I’m controlling and she didn’t need to get involved to fall out with her family. I didn’t make her but I told her it showed where her priorities lie when she’s defending them and not wanting to get involved over them screwing me over. It was left at that.
Back to the money, I went to see where the money went and searched the entire house. It’s not there but everything that was unpacked was there, even pointless shit like a blown light bulb was packed and unpacked. I ask her where the money is and she immediately gets defensive. Tells me “it’s somewhere” and immediately I think “this is all the same answers as last time.”
It then dawned on me that the money I was gifted, was in £10 notes and the money I was part paid for my sofa was also in £10 notes so my suspicion is she’s stole my money for her to hand to her mother to pay me. I’ve basically paid myself minus what been taken. I confronted her and she replied “even if I did admit it to try and sort things I don’t care about you anymore anyway so I don’t need to.” Probably makes sense why she was trying to take a loan out roughly the same time she would’ve taken the money. So there we have it, I let her stop for a while and this is where it’s landed me. Her stealing again. Whilst I have no solid proof whatsoever it could only be her that took it and if everything else got unpacked then she’s certainly took it. Shes now threatening to out me to people for who I really am (a victim of theft I guess?) and she’ll tell everyone how awful I am and not to bother contacting her. I’ve thrown her back out again for the very last time and I’m just relieved. Not sad at all. Whilst I have no proof her reaction is all the proof I need. Now I’m forcing a DNA test at birth and will fight to make sure no child of mine is brought up in a family like hers. She is poison. People like her don’t change. They just take more.
TLDR: Girlfriend has a history of taking loans out, using me, gambling and stealing. Am I wrong for throwing her out?

Hey, I want to start off by saying English isn't my first language, and this is a pretty unconventional story, please refrain from politics, trust me it won't help anyone.
I met her in highschool, we were in the same class and had overlapping friend groups, but were never really best friends, in fact I even dated some of her friends, and she mine, nothing serious. Last year of highschool we start to become very close and hang around a lot. We both live in Israel, so after highschool I get drafted to the army and she chooses to delay it by doing volunteer work for one year. We keep getting closer and closer and I realise I want her, but not sure if she feels the same, then one party gets extremely flirty and keeps trying to kiss me but I can see how drunk she is and I avoid it. Few days later I send her a message we meet up, hook up and both express feeling very positive and confident about it. By this time she's already in her mandatory service, and due to COVID has to stay 40 days in base. We keep talking as usual during this time but when she returns home she suddenly tells me she can't enter a relationship with me because it's too difficult for her and she has severe intimacy and relationship issues. (due to very prolonged and violent parents divorce and other personal stuff.) At this point I'm devastated, and we try to stay friends but it's simply too much for me and we end up not talking for around a year.
One night out of nowhere she texts me saying she has been going to therapy and regrets her decision and misses me, I think about it for 2 weeks and decide to go for it again, as I never really got over her. And this time we start our relationship. Keep in mind she's still in the army so her routine is 11 days at base 3 days at home (which would very regularly be disrupted and turn into 21, or 30 days in base at times) It's hard, it's the first relationship for both of us and the conditions are less than ideal, but we fall very deeply in love and everything feels perfect for over a year.
Then, on October 7th our lives change. We both lose friends, her service gets extended by 4 months and she has to stay for 40 days in base and only gets 24 hours leave, where she just keeps crying and barely sees me or leaves her room. Then becomes cold and distant on the phone for a while, asks for space. but by the time she gets back the second time she feels a lot better, apologising and we get pretty much "back to normal". (As much as you can during a war)
Last week out of nowhere, she says she's having a tough time and wants us to talk, I was kinda worried because of the wording but she just keeps telling me she loves me, misses me, sending selfies as if everything is normal. Even when we meet she talks about how much fun we're gonna have this weekend and kisses me everything as usual. I tell her "hey let's talk about what's bothering you" She bursts out crying saying she's been hiding it from me for 3 weeks, she feels like something in her just broke, like she's not enough, she hurts me, like I deserve better, and every time she thinks about the future after finishing the service she pictures going off doing humanitarian and volunteer work and can't picture us because she's scared of living together.
It's been a week and I haven't stopped crying, I cant sleep or eat, I can't stop thinking she's making a huge mistake we're both gonna regret like last time. We met a few days later to talk because I felt like she was giving up on us, and it's no different from other temporary hardships we beat, but she insists she doesn't wanna come back for now and asks me to move on, but admits she's conflicted.
I can't move on, I can't stop loving her, everybody tells me "oh it's your first heartbreak" but my mind keeps saying no you don't understand this is real. She's the one. And yet she gave up on us...
TLDR: She rejects me the first time, a year later we manage to make it work beautifully, then suddenly war changes our lives and she can't handle it anymore and breaks up with me out of nowhere.

Hi all. I hope someone here has advice or knowledge about this subject. For reference, I am a Saudi national in my 20s.
I have applied and did the initial interview for an entry level role at NEOM. All went well and I’m doing a second interview soon with a higher up. I’m very optimistic about the process so far and I believe I am a good fit for this role. There is one issue however.
Long story short: a couple years ago I was detained for a minor offense (no jail time, 2 year probation) and I know for a fact this incident is on my criminal record and will not be erased until 5 years has passed.
My question— is this kind of thing deemed an automatic rejection from the company once I reach the background check stage in the hiring process?
I don’t know how rigid/strict the company is in terms of overlooking any past criminal history, but I have no problem explaining what happened if they do ask and are willing to hear me out and overlook it. I’m just worried I’m getting my hopes up now only to be rejected later on. Is there a specific criteria they follow? I have no idea and would rather know now than be crushed later on.

So me F/21 had been in a relationship with this guy M/21 for two years. So before the breakup, we were doing long distance for about 10 months. I was in another state doing a 2 week internship. So the day after our 2nd year anniversary, we had a fight because I was jealous of seeing this picture of him and his friend who is a girl which she posted on her insta. So the fight led me to tell him that he is not putting in effort anymore, like letters or doesn't give time for me sometime for me since we hadn't properly talked for weeks and also how our conversations had become so bland. So I was feeling down and pissed off and one of my classmates enquired what happened and I shared it with him. Later me and my classmate also M/20 went to the terrace and started drinking (Trigger warning- non consensual acts) and he non consensually kissed me, bit my neck and grabbed my breasts which at the point I pushed him off, and somehow got away. I was feeling a mix of emotions at this time, which ranged from anger towards him and my boyfriend for having a fight and extremely shocked and numb. I had also drank some and smoked some cigs. So at this point I called up my boyfriend and told him that I made out with a guy in such a tone that it hurt him so much.And for the upcoming few days, I didn't tell him the truth and he was so heartbroken that he thought I cheated on him. I didn't tell him because even without telling this he was angry at the guy and wanted to beat him up and talk to him. And I was scared he will do something in anger which will cause the other guy (who has influence and networks in college) to do something to hurt me or ruin me. I apologized to my boyfriend for the call I did and he told to leave it all behind and he will try to forget it all and move on. But after that he was on and off for two days after which I knew I had to tell him the truth whatever happened. He told me to share it with my best friend and he is leaving and he can't handle this as he believed this story I had lied for days and was extremely heartbroken. Then he asked me why I lied to him that day which also I shared. Then he blocked me on everything. After a few days I knew he was angry as he didn’t message me or call me. But after a few days, he accepted my insta request and opened my snaps and send snaps. He called me one evening telling me that he can never be in a relationship anymore with me, with anyone and we can only stay as friends and nothing more. He can't bring again the trust he had in me. We can't go back to normal.He sounded stern and did not hear my apologies, my request to talk and fix things or anything. He didn’t want to call anymore or meet he said. He said he wants to move on and he said he has made his decision. Remeber this happened within a span of 1 week.
So my question is what should I do? Should I be friends with him? Should I give time and space to him? Will he come back to me? Should I not be hopeful?

Hi all, I am a 32 yo male from the Netherlands and had a mild traumatic brain injury 4,5 years ago. Since then I struggled a lot with the the leftover symptoms, until I found that many of them had to do with high cortisol levels and my testosterone. Symptoms include brain fog, memory and focus issues, energy problems, and libido issues.
I had my levels checked last November by a functional medicine practitioner: Morning cortisol: 15,3 ng/ml (4 - 12 reference) Bioavailable Testosterone: 9410 pmol/l (4340 - 14300 reference) SBHG - serum: 66 nmol/L (18 - 54 reference) Testosterone - Serum: 29,3 nmol/L (8,67 - 29 reference) Free testosterone: 402 pmol/l (198 - 625 reference) Free testosterone index: 44,4% (35 - 92,6 reference)
Since then I tried to lower my cortisol using the cortisol manager supplement including Ashwagandha, L-theanine, Magnolia and Epimedium. This worked really well for 2-3 months where I could even go to the gym and concentrate better at work, until my body adapted. After that I tried Tongkat Ali and Shilajit, which also worked pretty well again for around 1,5 week. Switching back to the cortisol manager does not do the job anymore as it did before. It does control my cortisol and I sleep a bit better, but I do not have the energy as I had before and my focus is horrible again.
I read a lot about TRT here. Do you think this may help in my case? As my blood results are no extreme outliers. Also in the Netherlands TRT is not that common, especially after mTBI. Doctors have no clue about this. However based on the stories I read online, and the earlier temporary positive effects I had from the supplements, I have the feeling this could work well.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this! Thanks!

Full disclosure, it isn't going to happen, and I have no new information.
People say that it probably won't happen for 2 reasons. (1) bfn flopped as did pvz3. And (2) the team that worked on 2 left so even if they did it would be garbage.
I'd like to argue some points tho. Bfn wasn't designed to be gw3. Its practically gw2 lite. Sure there's some new characters, and that's fine and everything, but bfn was NOT designed for the same audience gw2 was. And it didn't flop on switch. The switch community and bfn is still pretty strong, although they've abandoned making more content for bfn. In some ways if flopped yes, but again, they intended the game to be way more kid friendly and not so focused on setting a new standard. The team that did bfn designed the game so that it would be easier to comprehend for little Timmy to be able to play, and his dad not to completely dominate him. And pvz3 isn't fully released. Yes it's out in some countries, but you can't even put money into it yet although it's clearly designed to cram your credit card into, and despite it not being fully released there are quite a fair few people playing pvz3.
The team did leave, yes. EA practically uprooted them (pun not intended) because they were spending too much money on gw2. I mean that's not the story but I mean come on, its EA. But popcap (although owned by EA) still owns the rights to pvz, and believe it or not they still make some great content especially in China. If popcap wanted they could have cut the servers to any of these games for literally any reason, but they don't because they themselves really cherish the franchise, otherwise they would'nt even bother making pvz3. I personally feel like if we're ever gonna get a gw3, popcap wouldn't disappoint us. (That is if they had the power and money to do so)
Although, if they did make a gw3, I don't think it would be wise to use any concepts from bfn. That game deserves to be a spinoff imo.
So, now that all of that is out of the way, I'd like to ask the gardenwarfare community for your opinions. What do you think of a gw3? What are some things you'd want to be in it? New characters? Maps? Variants? Returning stuff? Anything. Your opinions are more valid than mine. So please, I'd like to hear them!

Original story:
Long story short, my girlfriend and I have been living together for around 10 months. When she first moved in she insisted on paying rent and I was reluctant to charge her if it didn’t work out but she forced it and paid a month. Then I found out she’s struggling for money, unable to pay for things, is in a lot of debt and lives month to month. She agreed with me that she’d start when she clears the debt. Fast forward to Christmas I find out she’s been stealing my clothes to give to her family as gifts (another post on here). She lied for 2 weeks blaming me until I showed her footage of her taking the things from the camera in the living room (to watch the dog when I’m out).
I later then discover through letters and texts I’ve seen appear on her phone she’s been doing nothing to pay any of it off, so I confront her. She tells me and shows me messages that her mother and sisters constantly guilt trip her into giving them money and have for years.
They’ll message her on pay day asking for it and she feels bad saying no, despite non of them ever paying it back. Her mum alone owes her over £6000. She has taken a ton of loans out for her family and they leave her with the debt and don’t pay it back. Luckily her credit is now at the point where nobody will loan to her but she still tries and does it for them. I also find out (I went through her finances, yes I shouldn’t have but something wasn’t adding up and I was being lied to) that in the space of 20 minutes she spent £300 on gambling sites. All during this time she isn’t paying a penny towards rent, bills anything. She’ll occasionally buy food shopping or trips out to Starbucks. I tell her enough is enough and she needs to start paying her way. If she can give handouts to her family and gamble she can pay for where she lives and she’s taken me for a ride when she should’ve been saving and clearing debts.
I make roughly 5x what she does but I’ve been fair in that the bills are split proportionally to income. She’ll earn £1400 per month and pays £600 which includes rent and her share of the bills. I take on the rest which is substantially more but I believe it’s not fair to take more.
On the 1st of this month she tells me she can’t pay rent. She says she’s paid out too much on our trips to Starbucks, food shopping and I’ll get it when I get it but she doesn’t understand why I need it this month when she’s lived for free the past 9 months anyway. I’ve asked her to explain where her money has exactly gone but she tells me I’m controlling and it’s non of my business. In fairness she will pay when we go food shopping but rarely in comparison to me. I’ve kicked her out as of yesterday and told her she needs to find somewhere to live. She is however pregnant and she’s using that card as a way to guilt trip me and make out I’ve thrown out her and my child onto the streets.
In my opinion she is taking me for a ride and prioritising her family that is using her over her own family she’s started? What’s the solution here to getting her to see she’s not treating me fairly?
TLDR: Girlfriend hasn’t paid rent for 9 months whilst she was supposed to be clearing debts. Instead she was giving money to her family, gambling and I’ve thrown her out because she’s refusing to pay again. She is pregnant.
Update:
I sat her down and gave her an ultimatum early last week. I explained to her that we are a family, and became a family when she decided to have a baby with me. I told her if we’re going to stay together she’s going to have to be a lot more open, contribute and no more taking on debt she can’t afford which brings it to my door when she can’t pay. I also told her I want to see her bank statements because I suspect she has a gambling problem and is in some serious debt. She agreed to all of this and committed to showing me the bank statements when I ask and says going forward she’ll pay towards bills. I believe she’s turned a corner and start getting along with her better and she moves back in.
As I was sat next to her phone last night when she went to grab a drink her phone lit up with a text message. It read “loan accepted by X lender, click here to accept.” I immediately called her out and she starts crying telling me she has no money left again for the month and she’s had to resort to payday loans for some money. I tell her she should’ve have come to me and tell her I explicitly said no more loans.
She also tells me she won’t be able to afford to pay towards bills again. She works full time and brings home around £1400-£1200 a month dependant on hours but a lot of the time she phones sick so gets sick pay which is a lot less. I ask to see her bank statements and she refuses telling me I’m being controlling by asking when she’s told me and I don’t need to see them. That’s the last straw for me. I’m almost certain she’s been giving it away at this point again or gambling. I give her a scenario: “Your baby is starving and needs food and there’s non in the house, what are you going to do.”
She replies “you’ll have to pay.” That’s fine I’ll happily support my son I tell her because the mother is clearly a deadbeat. So I ask to see her Facebook Messenger to see if her family have been hitting her up for free money again and conveniently all of the family members that borrow from her have the chats cleared (she says she deletes them to be tidy, yet mines still there).
I told her this isn’t going to work and she tells me I’m a controlling freak basically and she agrees and I’ve not heard from her since. Moral of the story is she’s too damaged from her upbringing I’m guessing and some people you just can’t change. She still messages me asking how I am but I’m sjust ignoring her except from anything baby related. I need to move on.
I know a lot of people questioned whether she’s pregnant, how stupid I was to get her pregnant (I agree) and if it’s mine. I’ve been to every scan so I know she’s pregnant, as for if it’s mine I’ve never suspected cheating but she’s a serial liar so I will be forcing a DNA test through the courts. I posted on a couple of different subs to make sure I wasn’t getting biased opinions. The above story is 100% true (I wish it wasn’t believe me) but my focus is now getting as far away as possible from her for my own sake.
Final update:
After a couple of weeks or learning she was sleeping around on family members or friends sofas I allowed her back into the house given that she is pregnant. Around a month ago. Out of concern for the baby really given she’s now 8 months pregnant. Stupid on my part and I’m now going to explain why I regret it.
I’ve recently moved house (a couple of months ago) and she was involved in the packaging and unpacking whilst I was out. Mainly unpacking. I had a pretty large stack of cash in the drawer of a cabinet in living room. Around £400-500. This was a Christmas gift from my parents. During this time I also sold a lot of old furniture including a sofa which she begged and begged for me to sell it to her mother. I begrudgingly accepted this. She told me her mother had asked to borrow the money from her repeatedly to buy it from me and asked if she could pay a couple of weeks after she took it. No biggie, that’s fine I tell her.
Her mother collects the sofa, giving me £100 cash initially and tells me the rest will be with me in a week. A week comes round and she tells me it’ll be next month but she’s not happy as it’s collapsed and I need to come take a look. I tell her it was fine was she collected it and I’m not taking a look. Basically if you don’t want it I’ll collect it and sell it to someone who wants to pay. She tells me I’m not welcome in their house. My girlfriend (ex) told her there was nothing wrong with the sofa at all when it was collected and her mother tells her she’s also not welcome. My ex then flips it onto me telling me I’m controlling and she didn’t need to get involved to fall out with her family. I didn’t make her but I told her it showed where her priorities lie when she’s defending them and not wanting to get involved over them screwing me over. It was left at that.
Back to the money, I went to see where the money went and searched the entire house. It’s not there but everything that was unpacked was there, even pointless shit like a blown light bulb was packed and unpacked. I ask her where the money is and she immediately gets defensive. Tells me “it’s somewhere” and immediately I think “this is all the same answers as last time.”
It then dawned on me that the money I was gifted, was in £10 notes and the money I was part paid for my sofa was also in £10 notes so my suspicion is she’s stole my money for her to hand to her mother to pay me. I’ve basically paid myself minus what been taken. I confronted her and she replied “even if I did admit it to try and sort things I don’t care about you anymore anyway so I don’t need to.” Probably makes sense why she was trying to take a loan out roughly the same time she would’ve taken the money. So there we have it, I let her stop for a while and this is where it’s landed me. Her stealing again. Whilst I have no solid proof whatsoever it could only be her that took it and if everything else got unpacked then she’s certainly took it. Shes now threatening to out me to people for who I really am (a victim of theft I guess?) and she’ll tell everyone how awful I am and not to bother contacting her. I’ve thrown her back out again for the very last time and I’m just relieved. Not sad at all. Whilst I have no proof her reaction is all the proof I need. Now I’m forcing a DNA test at birth and will fight to make sure no child of mine is brought up in a family like hers. She is poison. People like her don’t change. They just take more.

Had a ton of fun playing thru the early games campaigns.1 was pretty chill. Finshed Halo 2 and 3 in less than three days. Odst was cool. Reach had my favorite story.
Started up 4 thinking "yea there's no way the fans are right about this. The others are great." Oh God what a mistake. So fucking boring. You just fight the same stupid 3 enemies the whole game. Robo puppy, flying Mickey Mouse ears, skully bot.
Then after forcing myself thru that train wreck I started Halo 5. So much worse. Why is a misson just talking to someone? Why is it so nonsensical? Why do you barely play as chief? Why did the arbiter betray Chief? Why does it feel like nothing happened? Why anything? Oh look more stupid robots to fight.
Coming from a first time player there both truly terrible. I hope infinite is better because it be impossible to be worse.

My dad passed December 6, 2023 & I am having a horrible time! He had 3 different types of cancer, but he didn’t look or act sick. He was a hefty guy. I went with him out of town almost 4 hours away for treatment several times & each time we stayed at least 5 days. I’ll forever cherish those times now. We obviously knew he was sick, but even though he was on disability he would get up every day & find something to do. The last time I saw him, I went to give him a portable ice maker I got him. While I was there he showed me a growth on his neck. He never got to use the ice maker even though he loved ice. I talked to him for over 2 hours one morning (like I did every morning for years) & I could tell he couldn’t breathe but he kept saying he was ok. Later that day I went to my uncle’s house because he lives in the same town as me which is about 45 minutes from my dad, while there I got a phone call saying I needed to get to my dad’s house. When I got there I knew it was the end. We followed the ambulance to the hospital where he was unresponsive. I was going to stay but believed my stepmom & brother was staying so I went home because my husband works nights at a prison. I got a call at 6am from my sister telling me he passed. I feel so much guilt because I found out he died alone. I’m sad, angry, & whatever emotions you can feel. I’m angry because I’m his oldest out of his & my mom’s 4 kids, my mom passed in 2010. My stepmom hates me because I accidentally found out she was cheating & I got the blame. I’ll give more details if asked but essentially I handed my dad a piece of mail & he opened it & found hotel charges on her bank statement & found out she had an at least 4 year affair but he stayed with her. Now she blocked me after my dad passed & I’m the only kid who didn’t even get an old tshirt when he passed & she won’t even text me. Why should she, right? She never liked me anyway & now that he’s gone she doesn’t have to pretend anymore. I’m confused. I’m not suicidal but there’s definitely been times that I don’t care to be here. My kids are grown. My youngest has always been a momma’s girl (never knew her dad) but she’s completely turned on me because she was living with my dad & his wife & still does (she was 20 when he passed & will be 21 in June). Again I’ll give more context if asked. It’s a very long story. Idk what I want from this, I’m just devastated.

The services of the first few days of Orthodox Holy Week have a collective theme of judgment. The centerpiece of those days is the service known as “Bridegroom Matins,” so named for the icon of Christ the Bridegroom (pictured here), an interesting name for Christ depicted in His humiliation, crowned with thorns, robed in derision, with the rod of His chastisement in His hand. It is part of the “upside-down” character of Holy Week. Judgment is clearly one of the most upside-down characteristics of the events that unfold in Christ’s last earthly days.
I was nurtured on stories as a child that contrasted Christ’s “non-judging” (“Jesus, meek and mild”) with Christ the coming Judge (at His dread Second Coming). I was told that His second coming would be very unlike His first. There was a sense that Jesus, meek and mild, was something of a pretender, revealing His true and eternal character only later as the avenging Judge.
This, of course, is both distortion and heresy. The judgment of God is revealed in Holy Week. The crucified Christ is the fullness of the revelation of God. There is no further revelation to be made known, no unveiling of a wrath to come. The crucified Christ is what the wrath of God looks like.
The first three days of Holy Week are collectively known as the End. And it is this End that forms the character of judgment. The end of something always reveals the truth of a thing. As the popular saying has it, “Time will tell.” When the End is the end that is brought by God, then the true end of all things is revealed.
And this is the characteristic of the judgment made manifest in Holy Week. Christ is moving towards His end, the consummation of the Incarnation. As He is increasingly revealed, everything around Him is revealed as well. Things are shown to be more clearly what they are. Those who hate Him, begin to be revealed as plotters and murderers. What was once only thoughts and feelings of envy become plots and perjury. The power of Rome is unmasked for its injustice, mere people-pleasing. The High Priest is revealed to believe that the destruction of God is good for his nation. The weakness of the disciples and the empty boasting of Peter and the rest are shown for their true emptiness. The sin of the world is revealed in the death of God.
But this had been prophesied from the beginning:
Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel…that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed (Luk 2:34-35).
But the righteous are revealed as well. The steadfast love of the Mother of God never wavered before the Cross. Her faithfulness is revealed. The kindness of Joseph of Arimathea is forever marked by an empty tomb. The tears of a harlot reveal the nature of love, even hidden beneath the deeds of her life. In the judgment of God, all things are simply shown to be what they truly are. Sin is seen to be sin. Love is seen to be love. There is clarity.
And in the judgment of God, His own love is shown to be what it truly is – self-sacrificing, forgiving, relentless in its mercy. It is not a love that pronounces forgiveness from the Cross only to pronounce destruction on another occasion. The crucified Christ is not a revelation that is succeeded by another.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. (1Co 2:2)
The Bridegroom comes. Judgment arrives. All things are revealed for what they truly are.
Thy bridal chamber I see adorned, O my Savior, and I have no wedding garment that I may enter. O Giver of Light, enlighten the vesture of my soul, and save me.

Hey ladies and gentlemen,
I am Alexander. (It's an online name people call me)
I am here to tell you guys a story that I barely told anyone around me, just so the world knows the truth of this. At least someone knows right?
Around 4 years ago, I met a girl through a local friend group who play games together and hang out once in a while. Let's call her Naomi here. I just recovered from my depression and was getting a degree in clinical psychology and she was a high school drop out that do nothing with PTSD from a sexual assault that happened when she was 14 by a classmate.
She has a boyfriend at the time and I am a couple of years older than her. (She is an adult.) Soon we became friends and she would come to me for stress relieve and share her stories with me. She later on broke up with her BF and we didn't get in touch for a while because I had my own personal problems.
During the time that I am not really in touch with her, she did a lot of things to make me happy and make me feel special, she tried very hard to get me back into her life and wrote me a card and hinted that she has something for me. Which i felt the same towards her but never acted on it in any way, shape or form.
Eventually we got together and this is when the nightmare begins. 3 months in our relationship, she disappeared one night and never called me back. She kept texting me throughout the night though and eventually i facetimed her cuz we texted for 4 hours. She picked up the facetime and I saw her ex next to her.
Her reasoning is that her dad refused to pick her up after doing some work till late in that area and she has not enough cash to cab home, so she has to wait until 6am in the morning. She asked her ex who lived nearby for money but he is broke as she is, so he asked her to stay at his place till the morning. I was very angry but i eventually forgave her since we have been texting the whole night and she willingfully picked up the phone indicating that she has nothing to hide, which is a big mistake. (Foolish of me I know)
Fast forward after a while, the arguments between me and her because of her ex gets bigger. She constantly keeps in touch with him and would hang out or even play games with him. We eventually broke up because of all that and she having to leave to another country soon.
I was devastated. I really loved her and knew that a lot of things i did before the break up made it unmendable. Which is a part of my self destructive behavior.
I throw a very big tandrum at her when I discovered that during her saddest time when her family member passed away, she went to hang out with some guy rather than me. That was the thing that made me cut contact with her and not want a thing to do with her anymore.
After being in pain for 8 to 10 months, She reached out to me again. It was my birthday and she sent me a gift through mail. It was a box with 30 letters. She apparently has been writing very once in a while. The last letter she told me that she wanted to commit suicide and asked if i would forgive her if she did.
I was in shock and scared of losing her. So I immediately reached out to her, My heart pounding every second when i called her but no one picked up. For the entire day. I was scared and I was literally praying to whatever out there that this is not some cruel joke. That evening at 11PM she called me back, i was so relieved, she told me that she forgot to take her phone to work and we reconnected.
After a while she is mentally more stablised. Told me how her family went bankrupt and took all her savings from her. I was there for her for a while and then I asked what does she want from this because I don't want to be her friends again and I rarely stay in touch with my exes. She told me she wanted to fix the relationship. We started dating again and before I dated her, I asked her if her ex is still around her life. She claimed that he is trying to get back with her but she doesn't want to be with him and he bought her some gifts and that's it.
I asked her numerous time and even told her if she has unresolved relationship issues and not know what she wants, she should wait. She spent a lot of time reasurring me that she just wanted to be with me.
At that time I was looking for jobs for her, helping her family build a website for their family business and always being there for her to make her happier. I just wanted to be with this person, I was so in love with her and treated her with amount of love that I don't even know I have in me. I was proud of myself.
Christmas came and it was only like 2 months since we got back together. I asked her out and on the day of christmas, she refused to come out, telling me that she is sick and a bunch of reasons. I was furious because I don't believe any of it. She eventually came out very late (at around 9pm) and then we met up.
Her ex called when she was at my place. She had a 5 minute conversation with him in front of me. Saying that he wanted to hang out with her and her other friend cuz they were high school buddies. I didn't look deeper into it but it has a weird feeling on me the whole night.
So when she went to bed, I checked her phone. I checked her messages with her ex. They are dating. They are in a relationship the entire time. I was devastated and waited till she wakes up to talk to her about it.
She told me a sob story of how her mom took a bunch of money from her ex and she felt she had to be with him because her mom wouldn't pay it back, she reassured me that she was about to handle it herself but failed to. She then talked to her ex in front of me and broke up with him.
After that incident, life was so much better, our relationship was flying and I thought, damn this is finally over. Nope. i was naive, stupid and blinded by my love for her. Soon she started hanging out with her ex again and i found out again but i have no evidence of her cheating so I could not do anything at all and if I bring it up she accuses me of being controlling, jealous and emotional about it. She accuses me of being depressed and have mental problems.
This time she pushed me to a breaking point, I tried to force the truth from her but she wouldn't give it to me. We had a fight at my place and then she left after she calling her ex and telling him that she is with me and wouldn't get back with him.
After that I got a call from the cops. Checking if I was fine. Because someone said I was hurt. (I cut myself with a cutter very lightly when i was trying to beat the truth out of her) Then the next day she called me and said her mom called the cops on me because during our argument she tried attacking me and had a bruise on her leg and left arm because of her failed attack and my attempt to calm her down. She said her mom insisted that I attacked her and forcefully took her to the cops and hospital to check the wounds out. But she assured me that she will go drop the case.
After this, I was mentally incapable of dealing with anything anymore. I was just drinking all day and rarely seeing her. I have asked to break up numerous times but the crying face of hers really hurt me, I love her despite all her flaws and despite that she is probably bad for me. I had so much feelings for her and the last thing i wanted to see is her crying. I was emotionally confused and stuck.
Finally cops one day came to my house to arrest me for assault. Funny thing is I was facetiming her during this and she talked to the cops for me. I was still arrested and she went there the next day to drop the charges.
But we stayed together and soon after this she got sick numerous times and I have paid for her medical bills numerous times, we see each other less and less though. I tried asking her to go to therapy with me which she refused to. I have exhausted every option, including a MDMA based conversation because I read how it helps people connect. I was desperate to reach a point of understanding with her.
Right after her final surgery, we went out to have dinner and I asked to break up with her again. She promised she would change and begged me to stay, she said she will make things right after she comes back from Japan. (She has a trip to japan for 10 days with her female friend)
I again agreed to it and she left to japan the next day. I never felt good about this trip. On the final few days on her trip I found out that i was right. By stalking her ex's instagram, i realised that he is in japan with her cuz he changed his icon and the background looks like Osaka to me.
I immediately contacted her about this, she just said she doesn't know her ex is there and made up a bunch of fucking lies and say she cannot call me cuz her female friend's family is in an airBNB with her.
I don't believe her, so I contacted her best friend but she didn't respond. Then I contacted her mother, who she claims to hate me a lot. Her mother told me she never hated me and expressed a lot of interest in talking to me in the future, even thanking how I took care of her. But sadly, she was also tricked by my question and exposed that she is cheating on me.
I asked her mom. "She went to Japan with Husky right? (Made up name). Her mom was like, "yeah" Her mom was shocked that I was her BF too, thinking we broke up or something apparently. Later her mom tried to tell me she went with a bunch of female friends too. (Obviously an attempt to keep her cheating a secret)
So I texted her again with the new information. She goes on to tell me how her ex went there too for a couple of days with his family and she was just there too so they met up for 1 day. Which later changed to it was a trip with him and her female friend but they stayed in different airbnbs.
I don't trust her, so I contacted her "female friend" who is supposed to be there through mutual friends. Found out that she NOT ONLY CHEATING ON ME. BUT LYING TO THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD ABOUT ME.
SHE CLAIMED TO HER FRIENDS THAT I AM MENTALLY ILL AND SHE WAS NEVER WITH ME, I ONLY DO THINGS FOR HER CUZ I AM CRAZY FOR HER AND SHE NEVER DATED ME. SHE TOLD THEM THAT I AM VERY ANNOYING AND WOULD ANNOY HER ALL THE TIME.
SHE ALSO SAID BECAUSE OF MY MENTAL ILLNESS, SHE WOULD OCCASIONALLY GIVE ME ATTENTION SO I FEEL BETTER. SHE ASKED THIS FRIEND TO EVEN SEND HER SOME FAMILY PHOTOS TO PROVE THAT SHE IS WITH HER FAMILY TO HIDE THE FACT THAT SHE WENT TO JAPAN WITH HER EX.
HER FRIEND IS NEVER IN JAPAN WITH HER. EVER! And her friends even had me PROVE THAT she is dating me. I was so fucking devastated and felt so fucknig ashamed of myself for having to prove that my girlfriend IS MY GIRLFRIEND.
I called her again and gave her a chance to tell me the truth and why, I would have walked away and still be broken but I knew it has to end there. But nope, she called me annoying cuz i found out everything and blocked me everywhere.
Then I asked her for the money i gave her for some of her medical bills the past month. Since she wasn't my GF anyways. Why the fuck am I responsible for her health and everything when she is obviously fucking another fucking man out there?
I went to her fucking house with my sister to talk to her and she didn't even come home to see me. She was fucking hiding in her ex's home and preparing to find ways to lie to him as well. Her mom refused to talk to me and kept asking me to give her time to help me deal with this and I was so fucking furious I snapped and demanded my money back or I will sue her for scamming me. (Idk if that is even a thing)
She gave me back 10% of the fucking money and went to all my friends, saying that I ABUSED HER AND RAPED HER AND EVEN SAID SHE WANTED TO CALL THE COPS ON ME. EVERYONE STARTED CALLING ME A RAPIST. EVEN HER MOM CALLED ME AND ASKED ME IF I HAD DATE RAPED HER WITH RAPE DRUGS.
THIS MONSTER! AFTER EVERYTHING I DID, I WAS EVEN LOOKING FOR A HOUSE TO MOVE OUT WITH HER CUZ SHE WANTED TO LEAVE HER FAMILY. I WAS WORKING 2 JOBS FOR HER, I WAS DOING EVERYTHING I COULD FOR THIS FUCKING MONSTER. THIS MOTHER FUCKING MONSTER WHO IS AS HEARTLESS AS A FUCKING DEVIL.
I am SO ANGRY. I am SO fucking SAD. For MONTHS, NO ONE WILL UNDERSTAND THE PAIN I AM IN. FOR MONTHS I AM TRYING TO FIGHT MY DEPRESSION TO STAY ALIVE. FOR MONTHS I AM TRYING TO NOT FUCKING KILL MYSELF. FOR MONTHS I AM WORKING MY ASS OFF TO MOVE ON.
AND FOR HER? SHE EVENTUALLY DUMPED HER EX AND GOT WITH ANOTHER GUY LOL. COMPLETELY HAPPY LIFE WITHOUT ANY FUCKING CONSEQUENCES. AND I AM CALLED WEAK AND USELESS BY EVERYONE AROUND ME OR OCCASIONALLY A RAPIST.
I can't anymore. It's been months, but i can't anymore. I am not sure how much longer would I be able to do this, I am really not. I am done with this world. I am done with this life.
I never had a family, I never had parents, I never had anyone love me, I never had anyone who truly care about me. I just want to be a loving boyfriend/husband/father, I wanted to be a kind person. I wanted so bad, so so so bad. i tried so hard, i hope you people who read this would believe me.
please believe me.. please..because i am so broken feeling like no one would.

And oh, when the case was cancelled the cop told me she didn't go to the police station with her mom, she went with a guy, turned out to be her ex too. lol
I am a fucking joke and a failure.

Hi there
Since I benefit a lot from reading other buying experiences in this Reddit, I wanted to share my experience of a house I recently bought together with my GF. I will split the process in different sections:
The Search of the house
Some background of the house we were searching. Close to the center of Rotterdam, we were not considering neighbour cities such as Vlaardingen etc. 3 bedrooms and if possible 2 toilets, balcony.
The first decision for us was to decide if we needed to hire a Makelaar or not. There are different opinions on this but in the end we didn't. Basically because the Makelaar would not help us in finding the house or give us any special list of properties diff than Funda. We decided to risk it on our own and do the whole process by ourselves, even though none of us are Dutch or speak fluently the language. In the end, I think this way worked out for us.
Then there is the daily Funda check. We started end of January 2024. I was mostly sending them a message through Funda (not calling) and was able to get appointments for 90% of the properties that I messaged. So the myth that says that its hard to get a viewing app without a Makelaar was not true. The learning from this episode: If the price of the house rounds around 390k - 420k be ready for lots of competition. These are the type of properties that you have to dodge other possible buyers on your way into the house. If it's a nice catch and the price rounds that amount, that house will likely get heavy overbidding. We did a bidding for a house that had a price of 390k. We put a bid for 10% over the asking price and did not even finish in the top 3 of the bids :(
Luckily for us, with both of our salaries combined, we were able to raise our base price and escape the heavy competition in that 390k bracket. Therefore, we started looking at houses with a base price of 490k to 550k. In these houses, you can already see that the "Favourite or Liked" Funda variable (the Bewaard) is way lower. In my opinion, this is one of the most important variables from a post in Funda. While the popular houses had 120 likes, the more expensive ones had around 35 likes. In essence : Less Likes in Funda -> Less competition -> Less overbidding.
Special note if you are looking for a house with a partner: Agree fully on the dealbreakers of the house and the price limit. If possible, write them down. We did not do this in the beginning and it was bringing stress to our relationship since my gf was finding houses that had some of my dealbreakers and viceversa.
The Bidding
After increasing our price range in order to escape the heavy competition, we found a house for 525k (bouwjaar 2004) by Eudokiaplein - north of Rotterdam. Pretty good location and had most of the things we wanted. We offered only 10k more for a total of 535k and we got the offer accepted! Why 10k? Just to be able to win it in case somebody else offered asking price. Nobody advised us to proceed this way, it was just intuition knowing that the house was not as popular as other properties we had visited.
The Loan
After finding the house, we had to find the right bank and with the lowest interest rate. For this, we made a free appointment with https://www.hypotheker.nl/ . They will ask for some documentation and invite you to one of their offices. Basically, they will run some numbers and show you the different interest rates from multiple banks. In our case, also because we are both expats, the best choice was ABN Amro. It had the lowest interest rate and they have a lot of experience with non dutch buyers. This is all given for free by the Hypotheker. They will only charge you if you decide to use their advisory services to apply for a loan through them. We did it directly with ABN Amro since it was cheaper. But for some institutions, you can't apply directly and have to go through the Hypotheker. But if only care to know the lowest interest rate for your situation, this free meeting is highly advised.
Conclusion We recently got our loan approved and if nothing weird happens, we should get the keys on July 15th. From our perspective, it was not as hard as people were telling us as we were able to find a property in less than 3 months. Perhaps, because we were competing on a higher price bracket or we just got lucky. Either way, don't let stories scared you out. Hope this info is useful for somebody in the beautiful process of house hunting :)
