Does semi-permanent hair dye cover gray hair?

2024.05.20 13:04 charlotteebrownn1 Does semi-permanent hair dye cover gray hair?

Does semi-permanent hair dye cover gray hair?
Semi-permanent dye does not entirely cover gray hair; rather, it blends the gray area and makes the roots less noticeable. It provides more natural-looking results in comparison with permanent hair color. This is because most semi permanent hair colors are free of ammonia. Also, the process does not involve the use of developer creme, causing no cuticle penetration for color deposit. Hence, a semi permanent hair color only deposits the dye molecules on the strands and may not provide full gray coverage. It is ideal for non-committal hair coloring experiences, as it washes out after a couple of washes.
Honestly, I prefer using Moehair Voodoo Semi Permanent Hair Colors to experiment with vibrant colors and blend gray areas. The entire range is vegan, safe, and pure. It does not contain any harmful chemicals, therefore, ensuring damage-free color deposition. These temporary hair dyes fade beautifully within a few weeks and leave no ugly texture. Here are the features that I love the most:
Moehair Semi Permanent Hair Color Range - Voodoo
  • Sufficiently blends gray areas
  • Washes out after 8-10 washes
  • Fades beautifully without leaving ugly tones
  • Perfect for all hair types and textures
  • Vegan, cruelty-free, and safe
  • Gentle on the scalp and hair
  • Easy to use and apply at home
  • Intermixable with other colors of the Voodoo range

2023.12.09 03:37 Leviathans_iris "What if" Kushina survived Pt-2

Pt-1 is seperate post (cursed character limits. go start with pt1) Fated battle between brothers:
Sasuke was Joined by Hinata on his mission to go find his brother, but naruto had to stay behind to meet with Jaraiya… It was considered risky for both Hinata & Sasuke to go out alone chasing members of the Akatsuki, but Kushina trusted them & permitted it.
Hinata saw it as both a chance to get closer to Sasuke, as well as a chance to train further. Inspired by the Rasenshureken she really wanted to develop a new technique of her own. When she expressed this Sasuke showed her how to perform the Rasengan (he was taught by kushina, he just never cared to use it, as he preferred chidori).
After a few days Travel Sasuke & Hinata intercepted Itachi & Kisame.
“In a little over your heads now aren ya now?” kisame retorted drawing Samehada. “It seems the time has come, Kisame if you would give me a moment with my brother.” “Ahhhh the lilk guy grew up quite a bit these last years. Come with me girl.”
“No i’m staying by his side.” Hinata readied herself.
“You’re coming willingly, or unconscious. This conversation is between family.”
“Go with him Hinata, i get the feeling he doesnt want to fight today.” sasuke added. “Hes right, im not in the Biting mood right now” Kisame chuckled to himself as he waved for her to follow
Sasuke was happy that he was finally able to speak to his brother face to face. There wasnt any sign of hostility in the slightest. “Itachi i know the truth, everyone does by now. You can come home. Please come back, we can-” “How much control of the seal on your neck do you have” Itachi cut him off fully
“What…?” “Can you release it? Can you extract what it within it?” “Well, yeah but why would i do that.?” “I will speak to you, but only once it is us alone, right now you have a snake with you. That snake needs to be gone with.”
“You want me to weaken myself before you, just to have a conversation.” “Before i gift you a greater power my little brother.” it was at this point Sasuke realize that Itachi’s eyes were faded… his pupils & irises almost as white as the area that encircled them.
“You’re eye’s..? What happened?”
“The greatest power we can be gifted as Uchiha has it's limits. I have no doubt you’ve seen Kakashi’s Mangekyo sharengan given you have fought 4 Akatsuki at this point…. Every gift has a cost. And the cost of ours eventually culminates to our sight entirely.. I have maybe less than an hours use of my sharengan before i never see again.” He proceeds to cough up blood, falling to lean against an adjacent wall. “Though thats not the worst of my worries.”
“Come with me back to konoha, we have the greatest doctors. They can help you. Whatever it is im sure-”
“There isnt a cure to this little brother. The illness isnt just in my body, it's in my chakra network. They would need to remove the whole network to ‘heal’ me.. Only without chakra we are already dead. Existing at this point is pain. But let me help you little brother. Extract your curse mark as your mother taught you to.” Sasuke does a few handsigns before the seals that surrounds his heavens seal spiral almost like a combination lock. Two adamantite chains eject themselves from the upper of either of his shoulder plunging into the mark on his neck. Halting only after a few seconds, as if they had caught what they were looking for. The pulling motion was far slower than when they went in, as if dragging an anchor with them. Sasuke’s face was exceedingly strained.
He fell to his knees as orochimaru was pulled out of his neck, the curse mark leaving with them. The seals on his neck moved their way along the adamantite chains that wrapped orochimarus entire torso. A Luminescnet orange glow raised his attention upwards to his brother surrounded by a massive construct. As it's sword pierced into Orochimaru, their remains were drug into the realm of drunken dreams.
As quickly as the construct formed, it was gone. “Good, they cant harm you from the inside any further, nor can they prevent you from the greratness you deserve.” Itachi fell into his brothers arms. “Sasuke, can i ask you to put me out of my misery. If you do, you should awaken your Mangekyo Sharengan… & if you take my eyes into your own the four of them together will prevent you from going blind as i have.” he hands Sasuke a scroll. “This… this is the location of a tablet within our old home. It holds the truths of our lineage. Of the curse that is our eyes that grant us our power.” Itachi’s breaths got softer & more drawn out. “I love you lil bro. I honestly regret never telling you that properly.” he raised his hand to Sasuke’s face but it fell before he could reach. Coughing up blood once more. Sasuke Held his brother close, torn & conflicted. Happy he got to meet him, to say his goodbye. But so fathomlessly sad he was too late to save him from the weight he took all on his own. A lightning blade pierced through Itachi’s chest. “I love you too big bro, i always have.”
After a bit Hinata entered the building to find Sasuke still cradling Itachi’s corpse in his arms. She helped him fulfil Itachi’s wish, removing his eye’s & storing them in a vessel for when they got back to Konoha to perform the transfusion… they wrapped itachi’s body for travel, so that could bury him properly in Konoha.
Before they left Kisame entered the building.. “I thought it was only fair you knew… We have all but the 8 & 9 tails captured. Do with that what you will.” “Are you asking me to stop you?” Sasuke looked up to him, placing his hand on the sword at his side.
“I wouldnt have told you if i you were capable of stopping me. Everyone just deserves the chance to protect what they love… Besides. Im going the opposite Direction right now.”
------
Flashing back to a few nights back in konoha, we follow Kakashi in his home, it's relaxed, too relaxed as he gets ready for bed. He lays his head to rest, Only to be awoken by a man standing atop him, his foot going through his gut. A sharp pain pierced his skull. He reached to remove the cloth covering his sharengan only for his sight to not change. “Sorry old friend, but i’ll be taking this back.” The eye behind his mask glowing red as Kakashi fell back into his slumber.
Stepping down from his bed Obito removed his mask to to insert his left Kamui back into his skull. His right looking heavely faded, (though not as bad as Itachi’s was). Testing his left MS for it's first time he glances over to the counter where a photo of Kakashi, Minato, Obito, & RIN sat. the frame began to warp, then shatter into nonexistance… “You dare keep a photo of her after what you’ve done.” Obito began to tremble. Whether out of anger or madness it's unclear. “Oh i look so greatly forward to the day it's time to kill you on a grand stage Hatike. You hypocrital coward.”
Obitio Vanishes into Kamui just as Kakashi awakes to the pain of his missing eye once more. With no recollection of his brief moment with his old friend.
---------
Jaraiya the Gallant:
Happens the same, though he interrupts the extraction of Killer B temporarilly. Pain’s Assault of Konoha:
An average afternoon is abruptly ended when Pain infiltrates Konoha. Only they know exactly where Kurama is at. As all paths of pain, sans the animal path go directly for the Hokages office. With the Animal path summoning as many creatures to cause as much rampant destruction & chaos as possible.
Kushina’s office was ripped from it's foundation as the entirety of the building is crushed allong with surrounding buildings as Shibaku tensei consumes it all into a point of singularity.
Ashura released countless little Missiles into the blackhole like point. As muted explosions try to echo their way out. Their lil whimpers followed by the roar of a true beast, Kurama breaking Kushina free from within the Chibaku tensei, shattering the technique. Kurama nearly standing before Pain, as Kushina holds back the final 2 tails from breaking kurama fully free.
The Various Paths of Pain Fired numerous Black recievers into the massive beast that they stood before. Culminating in Kurama’s chakra being tamed down. Reverting Kushina to her base form in an unconscious state.
The Deva path walked forward driving 3 spear length black recievers into her back. Before having to dodge an attack of great magnitude coming from above. Barely escaping the arrows blast he looked up to see sasuke inside his incomplete Susanoo, with Hinata at his side. They had made it just in time.
Pain had succeeded in capturing Kushina they only needed to take it one step further & get her out of Konoha. The Animal path rushed back into the fray from the outside battles happening throughout the city trying to stop the beasts they summoned. A handful of elete Jonin including Kakashsi, Tsunade, Choso, Neji, Shino, Tsume were all in pursuit. Deva had to stop them from, and the timer for his next attack just hit zero.
Using the strongest almighty he could he focused the blast into a wave, not only seinding the pursuing Ninja flying far into the distance, but also taking half of the village & collapsing itself down into the wave of destruction that followed. Sasuke & Hinata dove down from the mountainside, as the reinforcements they were desperately going to need arrived from the other side, as Naruto reserse summoned at the point where the Hokage’s office rooftop should be. Turning & immediately throwing a rasenshuriken tearing the human path to shreds,
The animal path manages to place her hand on Kushina’s chest leaving a mark behind just before being eviscerated by an arrow fired from Sasuke’s Susanoo. Sasuke landing adjacent to Kushina, his Susanoo shielding her from any outside threat.
Naruto screamed to them “The real one isnt here we have to find the puppeteer!!” as Hinata went from overtaking the Ashura path to blowing it to minced pieces with a pointblank vacuum palm.
They turned to see that the the three paths were replaced by 3 more as the Naraka path ripped them from the king of hell effortlessly.
“Hinata get can you find where theyre coming from!? We can only hold them off so long! sasuke echoed.
Naruto captured the Deva path, ripping his arms off to prevent another almighty push, as that was their clearest way of losing this battle.
The battle of Naruto rotating between the various paths as Sasuke tried to provide ranged support from within his Susanoo whilst protecting their mother. Hinata next to him allowing her to focus entirely on scanning within her vision for Nagato’s location. “FOUND HIM!”
“Both of you look at me!” sasuke dove into her sight to see where he was located & relayed it into Naruto’s mind via genjutsu. “Naruto go, we can hld them off long enough for you to deal with the source!!!”
“Got it, You guys can do this!” Naruto fled from the battlefield in pursuit of Nagato.
Sasuke had to remove his cover of his Susanoo to flip onto the offensive. As he pushed Pain dissolving his bow for it's spear. He and Hinata were managing to keep the Paths at bay. Her 2 new techniques she developed being a massive factor in allowing her to do so. (that being the twin lionfists, as well as Rasenrotation, combining the defensive side of rotation, the the offensive destruction of rasengan)
They eventually managed to kill the Naraka & Human paths Simultaniously preventing them from reincarnating the paths as far as they were aware. Just as they began to take advantage of that upperhand the animal path reversed summoned themself from the battlefield… Mere moments later, Kushina was summoned elsewhere as well. The rods traveling with her.
“You’ve lost. Accept your grave!” as the deva path klutched it's fist, it's power recharged & ready to use once more, as gravity swelled pulling both Sasuke & hinata into the earth with a weight that made them feel no less than twenty times heavier… “Your cage might be able to hold out, but she cant spin anymore!” Pain cried out as he speared a black reciever through Hinata’s chest.
The cry that Sasuke let out was new to him. There was sadness, guilt, greif that had consumed him countless times… but this was a rage returning for the first time since he watched his brother kill his family! Before he never had a choice, there was no fighting back, there was never a chance at vengeance, but that wasnt the case anymore. Sasuke planted his hands into the earth bracing himself for the moment the gravity well ended.
The second it did, he sprung forth like a rocket had propelled him. Collapsing his Susanoo down to just a suit of armor coating his body as his spear ‘Ame no Nuhoko’ in his hands, it taking pure physical form, unrestricted from it's former shape as a chakra construct.
Pain couldn't keep up or follow Sasuke’s movements properly. There 3 paths left standing. Ashura, Preta, & Deva, who was now on his cooldown, but Sasuke’s spear could control both the heaven and earth with the two ends of it. The pommel having complete control of the earth beneath them & the blade the air above it. Every parry & Feint was simultaneously an attack from another direction.
Sasuke tore the three of them to pieces, leaving only the torso of the deva path before him as he choked on the air going into his damaged lungs. “Was it worth it..? I’ll find whatever you have left that you love & -- “ his words of vindication cut short by pain’s eyes going dark. As the final path present
He runs to hinata, tearing the rod from her chest, with his armored hand immediately releasing susanoo after. Once again holding a dying loved one in his arms. “Dont go, dont go dont go, i cant lose you too. Please, you cant die!”
With the little she had left in her she bore her head into his chest trying hug him one last time, but her arms unable to move. “I love you.” her voice barely even a whisper as her heart stopped beating… ----
Cut away to naruto in pursuit of Nagato, moments earlier:
He arrives to nagato like he did in Shippuden, only the animal path is there with Kushina, (who they reverse summoned back to Nagato’s location mid fight with Sasuke & hinata). Konan having paper blades surround kushina from nearly all possible angles.
Their conversation basically goes the same (as shippuden) & Nagato unleashes the king of hel’s full potential reviving most of the people killed in konoha..
- Konan says her peace & takes Nagato’s corpse to return to Amekagure.
- Naruto removes the Chakra rods from his mothers back, & carries her to the remains of what used to be a home.
Post arc
Sasuke is more worried about rebuilding the village & helping out, so he hasn't had the eye surgery done yet, nor has he read the tablet to know about infinite tsykoyomi, he doesn't commit to either till after Kushina leaves for the summit
Susanoo Shenanigan:
Hi, it's ya girl, cutting in to describe sasuke’s new & improved susanoo.
The spear ive used in other what ifs before for susanoo. It's myth is that it's the bridge of heaven & earth. & well Sasuke was kinda always symbolically written as a fallen angel. Only in this timeline he doesnt fall. So an angel
As for the susanoo’s color, it was formed from admiration, love, grief & sadness… & well thats two colors (theory wise) Gold & Cyan. & im not making it gold BC Naruto already is, even if gold is more typically associated with angels.
The 5 Kage Summit:
The call for a summit is made, & Kushina has to get up from her bedridden state to go. Her 2 guards that go with her being Tsunade (also her doctor), as well as Kakashi.
The summit goes mostly similarly up until the would be time the Akatsuki strike.
When A brings up his missing brother, Killer B, Kushina adds that when Fighting Akatsuki members her Son had learned that they had captured all but the 8th & 9th…
Before they could conclude whether or not they had captured the 8th Obito interjected announcing that they in fact had indeed captured the 8 tails. & That it was a hel of a fight.
Darui reacted firing a storm burst at him only for Obito to catch it with gunbai & send a windstorm back at them.
“Let's keep things civil & simple folks, I'm here for 2 things. First… Kushina, you can trade your life now, or your comrades can sacrifice you… if not you will hear the declaration of a world war more terrifying than all others combined, as it'll have all the returning faces… my army is already ready!”
“Do you honestly think we'll give you the final piece to your puzzle of world domination!” Gara cut in. Knowing personally the price of what he wanted.
“World domination, I'm offering you liberation. With the gifts I'll bring not a soul will go unhappy another waking day!”
“Enough of your bullshit! Where's my brother!!!” A screamed as he flew into the ceiling behind Obito, phasing right through him.
“I thought you might ask.” Obito casually replies as he dropsto the table in the center of the hall, releasing B’s corpse from within the Kamui dimension into the center of the room, completely & intentionally missing the table.
“Alright! There it is folks. War hath been declared, in one months time you will face every monster you war mongers have ever made.”
A dives down trying to crush him but every single attack phases through him. Kushina’s memory clicks from 17 years ago… this is the man who killed her husband. She activates her Jin cloak preparing for a fight, but Obito disappears completely.
“And the second reason I'm here.” echoes from throughout the room. As he reappears behind Kakashi, drawing a blade down his neck.
Tsunade quickly administers first aid, sealing the wound.
“How about we go with the classic then, the way you killed Rin.” Obito now in front of kakashi raised his hand phasing it through his chest, & using Kamui with his left of Kakashis chest as well moving his heart into Kamui’s space where he tears it from him materializing it back in front of the both of them. “an eye for an eye, a heart for a heart.” He emotionalessly crushes it before phasing himself into Kamui. Kakasi falling down dead.
----
Prepare for warrrrrr:
After signing a 5 way truce between the nations, Kushina hurries back to Konoha, it's past time naruto learn fully how to utilize Kurama’s power to it's fullest.
- Theres an uncerimonius Funeral service for Kakashi. With war around the corner they cant waste time on anything.
- Kushina conveys that there are 2 ways to for Naruto to draw out the maximum power from Kurama. Either he would have to subjugate Kurama fully, & take control of him by overpowering him. Stealing what he needs in the process. Which is the method she uses. Or the other option is symbiosis. He would have to work together with Kurama, form a bond, a real bond. And that was exactly what Naruto was going to do.
The training was extremely difficult, & was performed outside Konoha, in a hidden location. Naruto would train with Kushina. By her unlocking his seals temporarily, whilst maintaining a barrier that locked the entire room down in the event Kurama tried to break free. The process wasnt easy, & it was very much a couples therapy class. Just a lil harder.
- Sasuke had time to have his eye transplant done, Tsunade being quite busy aiding in the rebuild of the hospital & returning to critical patients that she had to remove herself from for the summit.. She referred him to Shizune & Sakura, who performed the procedure. - After his eyes finished recovering. He would go to his old home, one he only stayed at when he wanted peace and quiet, (it was never reused in all these years at people treated almost like haunted grounds).. Learning the truth about the sharengan didnt teach him much more than what he was already told by his mentor & brother, only that it didnt require suffering all along… However learning of Infinite Tsukoyomi gave way to Obito’s master plan, & he had to notify everyone ASAP.. getting to Inojin, they were able to send out to the various gathering nations what the hypothosized endgame was going to be
------
On the Enemy front a far more terrifying force was born. Obito has an even easier time stealing the rinengan from Konan using his susanoo to shield himself from the sea of explosives well enough before taking her down.
But Obito, as much as he felt drawn to the power of the Rinengan, he had come to love his EMS & didn't want to sacrifice either eye for the Rinnengans power. So long as their goal was achieved, all would be good. Instead he gave the Rinengan to his business partner Orochimaru who was providing the stronger units amongst the Edo tensai army, alongside the ones Kabuto would revive!
This would be the war of all wars!!
Susanoo corner!
Hiya again this time it's for Obito
Though yes we saw DMS sasanoo with Kakashi, this one is formed from Obito’s side of their shared MS. meaning which wasn't sadness that formed it, but was anger & rage. His is a blood red color.
- As for weapons what would bee seen so far is a shield that functions as a gate to Kamui realm when he activated it. The face of the shield looks like a night sky when active.
-
In tune with how in shipuden Obito flexes his 6 paths being the various Jinchuriki after seeing the Alied army as a comparison. Orochimaru’s 6 Paths: -Deva - Kimimaru -Ashura - Jugo -Human - Anko (captured & killed trying to take on orochimaru alone in this timeline) -Animal - Karin -Preta - Suigetsu -Naraka - Guren
6 paths of some of the deadliest bloodlines in the series controlled by the most sinister MF. On top of Orochimaru’s addition to the war front, Kisame is still alive & fully capable, as he didnt try & 1V2 the Lariat brothers.
THE WAR BEGINS!! Pt-3 next post

2023.07.21 01:09 fishrepic Overview of 10th

This might be a bit of a long post lol. Now that I have played at least 10 games of 10th hahaha..., I don't know how to feel about Tau. On one hand by turn 3 the firepower goes crazy, but I feel sad that most my troops don't survive that long even with being as cautious as I can and max in deep strike and reserves.
Starting with an overview of how well I've been doing, I can usually beat my friends playing space dwarves, grey knights, or drukari but I have yet to win against necrons and eldar. I know that eldar is just broken right now but all of my wins against the other armies are pretty close and most of the wins are due to large tactical blunders and load out issues on my friends parts. I feel like I spend so long on tactical ideas and they can still almost win by plunking any model any which way.
The pros for 10th is I will say that even though the strength and ap on our weapons went way down, we can absolutely incinerate swarm based units which is fun. Large ranges and strong 1 shot guns like the hammerhead or "slightly" more than one shot stormsurge is fun. By the third battle round I feel like I am putting in real work if I am still alive by then. Unfortunately, that is about all in terms of pros.
There is a huge list of cons I have dealt with but I will highlight the most important issues that I think are extremely important to cover by the time the codex comes out. First are point totals. I feel like everything in my armys units are 10 points more expensive than the opposing armies equivalent. This might not seem like much but it feels like some armies almost have a 100 point lead at the beginning of 1000 point games. Either the top armies need a bit of a point increase or the lower tiers need a bit of a point reduction. Secondly, strength needs to go up. Even though our ap capabilities went down, with how many models have a 4+ invauln honestly anything with AP higher than 2 doesn't really matter in most cases. I'm sure the strenghth issue is self explanatory by now with the amount of complaints so far. Finally, durability is my biggest complaint. Giving battlesuits the vehicle keyword is a huge liability now and honestly in my opinion isn't worth being able to shoot within engagement because of anti vehicle weapons. 9th was nice because most battlesuits had high enough toughness that it would either take a anti tank or elete weapon to hurt them, especially with sheild drones covering for them. There also was an ability to subtract one to wound if strength was under or equal to 7 for battlesuits which was extremely helpful in durability. Now after losing almost 15 wounds on my 1000 point army because of drones, toughness stays the same which is horrible with guns getting stronger and there are no savior protocalls or other gimmicks to save damage other than a 4+ invauln in most cases. It feels like a kick in the nuts to get an ability for 1 cp that gives a unit a 6+ feel no pain. Who thought that would affect literally anything. At the very least make it a 5+ for 1 cp or maybe even boost it to a 4+ for ranged attacks the remainder of the turn for 2 cp.
Overall, I know that 10th was supposed to simplify the game but right now I am stuck with the exact same strategy game after game and maybe after different detachment rules come out that will change, however I find it hard to just loose such cool ideas such as prototype weapons, actually good cp abilities, and even the etherials abilities even though they were kinda trash. I know the codex isn't out and the index cards are pretty bare bone but I am a bit worried for 10th when it fully comes out. However, this is my first edition change so it is quite possible I am overreacting lol.

2022.11.26 08:09 Nearby-Complaint In honor of National Native American Heritage Month (in the United States), I've decided to highlight the cases of five lesser-known unidentified indigenous women.

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women/Girls is a movement dedicated to drawing awareness to the dismissal of violence against indigenous women in North America. In Canada, Indigenous women are twelve times more likely to be murdered or go missing than the 'average woman', yet families often find their cases disregarded. Many cases discussed here have little to no information and have been 'cold' for decades.
-
Helen Doe was an indigenous woman killed in an automobile accident as a passenger in a tractor-trailer on May 14, 1991, near Kalama, Washington, a small town about half an hour north of Portland, Oregon. Lester Harvel, a long-haul trucker from Kentucky, had picked her up as an unauthorized passenger somewhere between Missouri and Washington. She was estimated to be in her twenties, had a gap in her lower front teeth, and had severe scoliosis that left her with a noticeable limp. Investigators noted that she had extensive dental work. Prior to her death, she wore a black cowboy vest over a grey top and a single feather earring in her right ear. Genetic genealogy is said to be in the works for her case.
--
Gila River Jane Doe was a young woman, likely indigenous, found a few months after her death underneath the skeleton of a horse on the Gila River Reservation in Arizona on August 9th, 1997. She was originally thought to be thirty to fifty years old, though investigators later determined her actual age to be around seventeen to twenty years old. She wore a black and white polka-dotted blouse with an ankle-length black skirt. Found near the scene of her death were two baby blankets, one pink, and the other blue, white, and pink. Upon examination, medical examiners determined that she had likely either had a child or carried one close to full term. The Gila River Reservation is primarily made up of locals from the Piipaash and Akimel O'otham peoples and had a population of around eleven thousand people in 2000.
---
Calgary Jane Doe was a First Nations woman found by hikers two years after her murder in the Banff Buffalo Paddock at Banff National Park, an Albertan national park off the Trans Canada Highway on April 8th, 1979. She had long, thick, dark hair, and was estimated to be around twenty-five years old. Investigators noted that she had 'perfect teeth' in her upper jaw. A clay reconstruction created by medical illustrator Elspeth Rodger and RCMP officer Al Sismey in collaboration with Michael Charney, a forensic artist at Colorado State University, failed to generate any tangible leads to her identity.
---
Parker Doe was an indigenous woman found months after her presumed homicide on Washington's Yakama Reservation near Parker Bridge Road. She was estimated to be in her late twenties or thirties and had long, dark brown hair with bleached blonde streaks in the front. Parker Doe wore a pair of lavender pants and a long-sleeved shirt from an unspecified Mexican brand, along with a pair of brown bowling shoes. The Yakama Reservation is home to the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation, encompassing different fourteen tribes and bands. Investigators believe that Parker Doe was not from the reservation. Her remains were exhumed in late 2021 in order to retrieve a DNA sample. Karen Johnley Wallahee and Daisy Heath, two young indigenous women missing from the Yakama Reservation, were ruled out through dental record comparisons.
---
Kilgore Jane Doe was a thirty to fifty-year-old woman found in the woods on December 23rd, 2000, along Spinks Chapman Road in Kilgore, an oil town in northeastern Texas. She was estimated to have been dead for a year or two, though investigators were unable to conclusively determine her cause of death or racial background at the time, though they guessed her to possibly be of mixed Black descent. Kilgore Jane Doe wore a white top, blue jeans, and leather shoes made in Mexico. Upon DNA analysis, geneticists determined that she was actually indigenous, showing ties to native groups in Central America. The DNA Doe Project and Parabon NanoLabs are currently working on her case in conjunction. She is noted to only have very distant matches.
---
Lander County Jane Doe was a disabled woman found deep in the mountains of Lander County, Nevada, fifteen miles (25 km) from Interstate 80 on February 25th, 1990, six months to two years after her homicide. Her remains were notably scattered, and investigators suspect that she was dismembered. The only personal artifact found of hers was a handmade sterling silver with turquoise and coral triangular inlays in a women's ring size 8. She had a healed injury to her right femur that likely impacted her gait and may have caused pain in her leg and hip. The Doe Network notes that she had melorheostosis, a condition caused by a gene mutation where dense new bone grows over the original leading to a waxy appearance upon X-ray and chronic pain in the affected area. However, I cannot find this noted elsewhere. Until recently, Lander County Jane Doe was believed to be male, and many archived sources still list her as such.
---
Fruitland Jane Doe was a woman found years after her death in a shallow grave on January 22nd, 1991 on the Navajo Reservation near Fruitland, New Mexico. Hikers traversing a small dead-end canyon came across her remains at the end of a steep slope. Medical examiners determined that she was likely between twenty and forty years old, and had possibly been dead for over half a decade. Her teeth all had severe attrition (wear). No personal effects of hers were found except for fragments of black cloth, one of which contained a single spherical metal button. The Navajo Nation, known as Diné Bikéyah in Navajo, is home to around a third of the total Navajo population, amounting to over one hundred and seventy thousand people.

2022.09.11 05:32 Dreddriff what I've been using. it's tough and you may have moments of weakness but don't let thek defeat you.

elete social media or just stop using it altogether.. go into your setting for apps and go to permissions and turn off the things you don't want to have access to your shit. I also always download a frequency app where you can mess with the Hertz anyone listening isn't going to enjoy what they here, you can get used to it after a while this. Is also a process of conditioning we all need to make our torture into training. Stop running away or showing fear go after them. War hoop at the top of your lungs and strike! Is you have to run never down a road always alleys and hop fences never straight or on clear spaces carry multiple sets of clothes and hats. I have evaded this way, also wigs and glasses, sounds ridiculous but we have to use anything an everything at our disposal down to tooth and nail if you must bite your way through them to freedom. If your not in shape get in shape. I've been going through this as long as I can remember everything peaked going on 5 years now. I've lost almost 90 pounds, and have started physical fitness and combat training. The things they use against us there's really nothing to do other than golden bubble technique, meditation to focus, change your personal thoughts to positive no more down talk you are the top of the shit heap start acting like it! Accept what is for now, so you don't live in a tommorow that's just a fallacy. Learn to use the four fold breath both solar, and lunar versions. No more excitement over the madness focus that's where they get us stuck lost and to make bad decisions and even then the only real thing you can do is learn to take the pain, ground yourself and focus your intent on being victorious after a while you will adjust and the pain won't effect you as much, make this your adventure and understand it only has to be bad if you let it. Nothing is perfect and shits gonna hurt but you can survive and get stronger probably cause we are, They wish they were. That's why it takes so many, for so few. Buck your programming, buck your pre conceived notions give it no power. Remember when you start it is what it is the only thing you can fully control is yourself. They hate that we are uncontrollable. I love all of you. I don't claim to know anything other than what I've been doing myself to manifest my reality! fuck there's .

2022.08.20 01:52 BigDonutStudio Never put motion lights in your basement.

Ronda had just moved into her new Ranch style home in Northern Ohio, a modest plot of land that offered privacy from nosy neighbors and tranquility from the city. Ronda's new job had taken a turn for the better when the new lock down rules saved her the forty five minute drive to work, she could now work from home allowing her to push her budding career and begin long task of making her new house a Home. The first Saturday after she had moved in a knock sounded at her front door, she expected one of the local electricians she found on Craig's List soon and was over joyed too see him early. He introduced himself as Ronald Walsh and pointed back to his little hatchback with magnetic decals reading “EletRons Electric Services”. Ronda welcomed him in offering to help carry some of the equipment he seemed to have trouble holding all at once. “That's very kind of you ma'am but I'm not that old yet” he laughed giving her a wink. Ronald trundled into the house reminding Ronda of an old Goofy Cartoon, this gave the old man a charm like a kindly grandfather very much unlike the one she had. “So what's on docket today Ms. Sykes?” Ronald asked while setting his tools on the kitchen table. “Well” she started, “I bought a few motion detectors I'd like installed”. Ronald looked Puzzled, “I saw you already have a few in the front of house, aren't there any in the back”? Ronda laughed “ Yes there are but I'd like these put in the house, one in the hallway with the bedrooms, one in the kitchen, and one in the laundry one in the basement”. Ronald look at her quizzically “Shouldn't be a problem, wiring is wiring most anywhere but I've never done this kinda thing before. Would you mind my asking why”? Ronda flushed with embarrassment “I'm kinda, forgetful. Back in my apartment downtown I'd sometimes leave every light on when I left for work so I thought I'd buy motion sensors that turned the lights off whether I remembered too or not”. Ronald grinned at the explanation, “that's awfully clever Ms. Sykes ill have to tell my daughter about that idea, shes got the same problem too”. They both shared a laugh and Ronald got to work on the lights and Ronda continued unpacking. Hours later Ronda's phone began to chirp an unsettling warning, a winter storm was blowing in across the lake and was due to make landfall by night. She thought of Ronald and wondered how long his drive home would be. She had lost track of him while setting up her living room to fit around both her large TV and gas powered fireplace but she couldn't hear much over the constant ringing of her tinnitus she earned after a decade or more of blaring headphone. “Ronald?” She called out. “Down stairs Ma'am” he replied. Ronda descended the stairs that creaked under her weight announcing her entrance to the half finished cluttered basement. The space is the temporary home for empty boxes, baskets of laundry, and other miscellaneous items she gathered while planning for her single life in a new home. Moving along the path Ronald had gently made to the laundry room Ronda found him on a ladder across from the furnace setting up the last light in the old yellowed drop ceiling. “Mr. Walsh, I just got a warning that a big storm is coming our way soon and I don't want you to get stuck driving home in it.” Ronda said. With an exertion of effort Ronald replaced the ceiling tile and descended the latter. “That's very kind of you Ms. Sykes but I wouldn't worry I've just finished installing the last the last light and once I've shown you how they work I'll be on my way”. Ronald explained that the switch for each light will have to be left ON so that the sensor had power and could turn the light ON as it was triggered, he also explained that the light will remain on for five minutes or long as there is constant movement and that the sensor in the basement wasn't as sensitive since he figured she wouldn't want the washer and dryer setting it off. Ronald offered Ronda his card with his home phone number should she need any other work done and gathered his tools leaving for the door. “Just a word of advice if I may ma'am” Ronald said standing in the open front door. “Your furnace looks like its as old as me and if its anything like me you might wanna keep an eye for gas leaks”. Ronda looked at him perplexed at this statement, she knew furnace was old but the Realtor assured her it had gotten yearly maintenance and should be just fine but when Ronald gave her a goofy grin she realized his joke. Ronald left into the cold falling snow and Ronda closed the door laughing at both the old man and her own obliviousness at his crude joke, she decided to make herself dinner and cuddle up in the front room she spent all day organizing. The Storm hit the shore of the lake hard well before her pasta dinner was finished, the drab muddy field that was her backyard was now a dark torrent of snow, it was only now did she realize how leaky her window frames were as small breathes of frigged air snuck past their seals. Ronda took this as motivation to abandon the dishes for a warm fire and her favorite fuzzy blanket. Walking quickly from the kitchen she heard a thump from the basement stopping her in tracks, a cold chill sharper than anything the winter wind conjure crawled up her spine, she held her breath and turned her full focus toward the door. She wanted to listen for another noise, she wanted to not hear anything, she wanted more than anything to just convince herself that one of the boxes just fell for no reason but all she could hear was that ever present ringing in her ears. Ronda thought about that day when she was eight, that night she and her mother hid in the basement of her granny's home silently crying, hiding. Her eyes filled with tears again and her heart raced when horror struck. The room went dark. Ronda shrieked and launched herself through the kitchen door into the dining room, scrambling for the light switch. Her hands pounded the walls as she sobbed prayers for the holy light that would drive away this terror and after several terrifying minutes she found the switch and illuminated the room. She could now see the kitchen and basement door, nothing had changed and nothing was there. Ronda sat the dinning room table and held her head in her hands crying, she thought about what she told Ronald about being forgetful and how that wasn't a lie but also wasn't the truth. Ronda looked into the darkness of Kitchen again and walked over the light switch, taking a deep breath she flipped the light off and began to count. 1...2...3...4...5...6 Ronda began to shake as her breath burned in her lungs. 7...8...9... On ten she flipped the light back forcing out the hot breath seeing once again nothing had changed. She folded her arms across her chest and decided she would head to bed instead of warming by the fire but would leave her bedside light on. After an uneventful night Ronda woke by her own time finding she had left her cell phone unplugged leaving it to run out of battery during the night, thankfully she had little plans for Sunday other than continuing to settle in before her first day of work that coming Wednesday. Standing in front of her coffee maker she felt a cold breeze cross her reminding her of the leaky window frames, she took her coffee to the kitchen table and sat on the cold metal and plastic seated chair. The warmth of black bitter brew reminded her of winters with her mother and granny, she recalled that they would put clear plastic across the window frames as a means to keep the warmth of the radiators from escaping to the bitter outside. Ronda folded her feat on top of one another for warmth and decided she would go buy window wraps and cover what few windows she had too, a fresh coffee and a whirlwind of going through her dresser for her warmest, fuzziest socks Ronda stood at the open front door slack jawed at the sight before her. Three feet of snow had fallen over night and her small Honda Civic was nothing more than metal igloo that cost her nearly two hundred bucks a month. Closing the door and letting out a disappointed sigh Ronda kicked off her boots and developed a plan B. A bolt of inspiration struck, bed sheets, garbage bags, and saran wrap would be all she needed until she could get her car dug out and like a force of nature she throw herself into her task with sounds of top forty hits blaring from her TV punctuated by the sticky tear of a fresh roll of Duct Tape. By the time all of her windows we covered she walked proudly room to room seeing trash bags and Little Mermaid sheets covering her windows and with a deep breath she said “well if this ain't the most ghetto thing I've ever done I don't know what is!” She laughed at herself but still proud of her work as she headed to the kitchen to refresh her now cold coffee and make a late lunch of toaster waffles and eggs. Placing her collage menu meal on her kitchen table she sat back down on her favorite chair but was disturbed to feel it still cold to the touch, her feet too felt the ice cold tile through her thick fuzzy socks causing her to puzzle how this could be. Certainly she didn't expect everything to get warm in a single afternoon but it only seemed to be cold around the kitchen table, Ronda looked to the window and the backdoor both seeing both closed and covered. She then looked over the pantry and wondered if maybe there were a crack in the wall but when she look beside her no more than an arms length away she knew where the cold was coming from. The Basement door. Forgetting about her quickly cooling meal Ronda stood and moved to closed door. Looking back over the sink she saw there was still daylight even through the gray clouds, the memory of last night started to creepy back but she steeled herself from it a drew in a long breath. 1...2...3... Ronda swung the door open to the basement and glared down to bottom of the steps seeing only the boxes that she placed there along with the path Ronald had made the day before. Every step creaked as she descended spiking some terror in her forcing her to picture hands reaching from through the empty backs of simple staircase but like the countless other times she walked down stairs there was no intervention of a stair dwelling boogieman. In the finished part of her basement she could feel the cold in greater gusts and examined the few windows covered by snow and found them sealed tight against it cold crystalline weight. She moved toward the laundry room staring at into the darkness hoping the light sensor will track her before she has to walk into the dark of the room, to her relief the room snapped into a florescent glow revealing a heap of snow sitting on top of her washer. “Damn it”! She shouted running over to the pile, the window the dryer exhaust lead out too had seemingly been pushed open due to the weight of the snow and faulty old locks. Grabbing a bucket she began to shovel snow off the washer and into the floor drain, once it was clear she set the bucket down as a foot stool and climbed to kneel on the frigged appliance to reach the offending window. Thrusting her arms in the small pile of snow she grabbed the bottom the window frame and lifted in against the weight and frozen hinges but with frustration she felt she made quick work of the task and slammed the window shut with a cathartic “WHUMP”. “There!” She exclaimed letting out a hot breath. She stared at the small rectangular window a let a thought drift across her mind “these windows aren't as big as one at granny's” but she pushed it away as quickly as it came. She decided to dismount from the washer before anymore bad memories could surface and ruin the rest of her day when she leapt down her toes had hit the edge of bucket setting her off balance sending her tumbling back toward into furnace. With a monstrous crash she fell into the ancient steel thing slamming the back of her head hard into the casing, her vision went black and filled with star as her consciousnesses quickly fled from her. She could feel herself coming back to light and she tried to move but it felt like she was under water, opening her mouth to speak she felt a cold hand cover her lips. “shhhhh, be quite baby you just gotta sit still” a quivering familiar voice whispered. She raised her hand to meet the one against her mouth and recognized the ring on its finger, its the very same ring she wore everyday since her mamma died. “Tereeeeee-saaaaa... wheres my little girl”? Wheezed a raspy voice, Ronda's mind filled the with the smell of old cigarette smoke and cheap beer. She was suddenly hoisted up to glass rectangle and told to open it quietly, she fumbled with latch and with shaking hands pushed it open. A firm hand pressed against her bottom and boosted her through into a dark muddy yard, she spun around and looked back into the darkness to see a cherry red dot and a voice like grave dirt. “There's my girl” Ronda woke with a choked scream in her throat sweating profusely and on the verge of tears, disorientated by the shrill ringing she stood quickly and smashed her head against an air duct that forced those tears loose. She let out a sob and held her head. No blood but she felt she could barely stand straight. Using the wall as guidance she walked to the doorway to the finished half of the basement and to her terror she found it dark as pitch. Ronda wondered how long she had been out, even if it was a couple of hours the light bulb shouldn't have burned out so soon. She remembered Ronald's offer for assistance and thought this was as good a time as any to take him up on it, she didn't know where she left his card but figured she would find it out google somehow but as she padded her pockets her heart sank. The phone was still charging upstairs, she had been without it all day. A pulse of pain caused her to almost fall to her knees and she knew she needed some kind of help but to get it she would have to go into the dark room and up stairs to the kitchen where the light would turn on automatically and she would be safe. It was only thirty feet at most and she'd have the light of the laundry room behind her. Ronda was getting dizzy and decided to crawl on her knees for stability. She got down a took a deep breath, she knew she had five minutes before the laundry light would turn off and leave her in complete darkness. The idea brought tears to her eyes. With a deep breath she began to crawl, she counted each step to track her time always looking over her shoulder back to the guiding light believing that it kept her safe. Each step into the darkness caused the ever present ringing in her ears to grow louder like kettle about to boil when she came to the turn to face the stairs and the remaining light she felt a ounce of comfort knowing it would be in front of her now illuminating the stairs before her. She ascended the first steps until her hands were three up and her foot was just leaving the basement floor when the light went out. A blanket of dread fell over her when she realized what just happened, her first thought was “had it already been five minutes” but when she turned her head to the stairs in front of her she was met with two reflective glowing eyes between the steps. Then they moved. Frantically Ronda leap up the stairs struggling pull herself up by the hand rail but failing nearly falling backwards into the abyss, through the sounds of her heart pounding in her chest and sobbing breaths she listened desperately for the sound of the thing under her stairs but all she hear is the ringing like a siren in her head telling her a horror beyond her wildest fears was so near it would certainly touch her and in her fervorous panic she felt the hard wooden door some closed tight in its frame. Ronda let out a bloody scream pounding on the door that just wouldn't open, she swore a creak sounded from the base of the stairs and through scrambled for the light switch eventually finding frantically flipping up and down but to no luck. The glowing eyes were now visible at the bottom of the stairs and Ronda could swear they came twisting up creaking step by creaking step, she threw her body against door screaming for her mother, for God, for anyone but the door held resolute and in one last great push she pushed the door through frame and landed in the light of kitchen. She quickly turned around and tried to drag her legs from the stairs but something held her ankle firm in place. The sound of her heart beat, breathing, and ringing all seemed to fall silent the moment she looked back into the darkness and saw that cherry red dot. “Please, don't”. By Monday afternoon the snow storm had passed and the plows had been busy since dawn clearing away the record breaking snowfall, the small town in Northern Ohio was preparing for another work week albeit a shorter one. Neighborhood kids we're out under the blue skies taking full advantage of the winter gifted snow-day but Ronald Walsh would be busy getting to repair calls for frequent customers who fix the damage the storm had wrought. During his errands Ronald had thought of the nice new woman whom he had just done some work for and thought to drop by to see how he fared during the storm, maybe help her dig her car out of the drive. Ronald pulled up in his hatchback and parked at the end of the drive, he trudged through the snow till he reached the front door. “Ms. Sykes, are you home”? He called while knocking on the door. Ronald looked though the frosted glass to see if any lights were on when he heard it. He began to pound hard of the door. “Ms. Sykes please open the door, its an emergency” He shouted in panic but when no response came he tried the handle which turned with no effort. Ronald pulled a handkerchief from his pockets and pulled it up over his mouth and burst into the house. Holding his breath he ran into the kitchen and look around, he saw the basement door hanging off its hinges and peered down stairwell. Ronald found light switch and flipped it on illuminating the basement. Shuttering at what he saw, he turned and ran out to the front yard and call the local sheriff. A short time later a deputy and a hazmat team were opening all the doors and windows to allow the coroner to retrieve the remains of Ronda Sykes. The deputy sat with Ronald and asked what he saw when he got to house, all Ronald could tell him was the windows were covered and the entire house stunk of gas and she must have fallen down the stairs trying to turn off her gas detector. But what Ronald didn't tell him was before he left he saw the laundry room lights turn off.

2022.08.20 01:41 BigDonutStudio Motion Lights in the Basement.

Jeremiah 51
Judgment on Ammon 49 aConcerning the Ammonites.
Thus says the LORD:
“Has Israel no sons?
Has he no heir?
Why then has bMilcom1 cdispossessed Gad,
and his people settled in its cities?
2 Therefore, behold, the days are coming,
declares the LORD,
when I will cause dthe battle cry to be heard
against eRabbah of the Ammonites;
it shall become a desolate fmound,
and its villages shall be burned with fire;
then Israel shall dispossess those who dispossessed him,
says the LORD.
3 “Wail, O gHeshbon, for Ai is laid waste!
Cry out, O daughters of eRabbah!
hPut on sackcloth,
lament, and run to and fro among the hedges!
For iMilcom shall go into exile,
jwith his priests and his officials.
4 Why do you boast of your valleys,2
kO faithless daughter,
lwho trusted in her treasures, saying,
‘Who will come against me?’
5 Behold, mI will bring terror upon you,
declares the Lord GOD of hosts,
from all who are around you,
and you shall be driven out, every man straight before him,
with none to gather the fugitives.
6 “But nafterward I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites, declares the LORD.”
Judgment on Edom 7 Concerning oEdom.
Thus says the LORD of hosts:
p“Is wisdom no more in pTeman?
qHas counsel perished from the prudent?
qHas their wisdom vanished?
8 rFlee, turn back, dwell in the depths,
O inhabitants of sDedan!
For I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him,
tthe time when I punish him.
9 uIf grape gatherers came to you,
would they not leave vgleanings?
uIf thieves came by night,
would they not destroy only enough for themselves?
10 wBut I have stripped Esau bare;
uI have uncovered his hiding places,
and he is not able to conceal himself.
His children are destroyed, and his brothers,
and his neighbors; and xhe is no more.
11 yLeave your fatherless children; I will keep them alive;
yand let your widows trust in me.”
12 For thus says the LORD: z“If those who did not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, awill you go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, but you must drink. 13 bFor I have sworn by myself, declares the LORD, that cBozrah shall become da horror, a taunt, a waste, and a curse, and all her cities shall be perpetual wastes.”
14 eI have heard a message from the LORD,
and an envoy has been sent among the nations:
f“Gather yourselves together and come against her,
and rise up for battle!
15 For behold, I will make you small among the nations,
despised among mankind.
16 The horror you inspire has deceived you,
and the pride of your heart,
you who live in the clefts of the rock,3
who hold the height of the hill.
Though you gmake your nest as high as the eagle’s,
I will bring you down from there,
declares the LORD. 17 h“Edom shall become a horror. iEveryone who passes by it will be horrified iand will hiss because of all its disasters. 18 jAs when Sodom and Gomorrah and their kneighboring cities were overthrown, says the LORD, lno man shall dwell there, lno man shall sojourn in her. 19 mBehold, nlike a lion coming up from othe jungle of the Jordan against a perennial pasture, I will suddenly make him4 run away from her. And I will appoint over her whomever I choose. pFor who is like me? qWho will summon me? rWhat shepherd can stand before me? 20 Therefore hear the plan that the LORD has made against sEdom and the purposes that he has formed against the inhabitants of tTeman: uEven the little ones of the flock shall be dragged away. Surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate. 21 At the sound of their fall vthe earth shall tremble; the sound of their cry shall be heard at the Red Sea. 22 Behold, wone shall mount up and fly swiftly like an eagle and spread his wings against xBozrah, and the heart of the warriors of Edom shall be in that day like the heart yof a woman in her birth pains.”
Judgment on Damascus 23 Concerning zDamascus:
a“Hamath and bArpad are confounded,
for they have heard bad news;
they melt in fear,
cthey are troubled like the sea that cannot be quiet.
24 zDamascus has become feeble, dshe turned to flee,
and panic seized her;
anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her,
as yof a woman in labor.
25 How is ethe famous city not forsaken,
the city of my joy?
26 fTherefore her young men shall fall in her squares,
and all her soldiers shall be destroyed in that day,
declares the LORD of hosts. 27 And gI will kindle a fire in the wall of zDamascus,
and it shall devour the strongholds of hBen-hadad.”
Judgment on Kedar and Hazor 28 Concerning iKedar and the kingdoms of Hazor that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon struck down.
Thus says the LORD:
j“Rise up, advance against iKedar!
Destroy kthe people of the east!
29 lTheir tents and their flocks shall be taken,
their lcurtains and all their goods;
their camels shall be led away from them,
and men shall cry to them: m‘Terror on every side!’
30 nFlee, wander far away, dwell in the depths,
O inhabitants of Hazor!
declares the LORD. For Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon
has made a plan against you
and formed a purpose against you.
31 j“Rise up, advance against a nation oat ease,
pthat dwells securely,
declares the LORD, pthat has no gates or bars,
that dwells alone.
32 qTheir camels shall become plunder,
their herds of livestock a spoil.
rI will scatter to every wind
sthose who cut the corners of their hair,
and I will bring their calamity
from every side of them,
declares the LORD. 33 Hazor shall become ta haunt of jackals,
an everlasting waste;
uno man shall dwell there;
uno man shall sojourn in her.”
Judgment on Elam 34 The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning vElam, in the beginning of the reign of wZedekiah king of Judah.
35 Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, I will break xthe bow of vElam, the mainstay of their might. 36 And I will bring upon vElam the four winds from the four quarters of heaven. And I will scatter them to all those winds, and there shall be no nation to which those driven out of vElam shall not come. 37 I will yterrify vElam before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring disaster upon them, zmy fierce anger, declares the LORD. aI will send the sword after them, until I have consumed them, 38 and I will set my throne in vElam and destroy their king and officials, declares the LORD.
39 “But in the latter days bI will restore the fortunes of vElam, declares the LORD.”
Judgment on Babylon 50 The word that the LORD spoke concerning cBabylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, dby Jeremiah the prophet:
2 “Declare among the nations and proclaim,
set up a banner and proclaim,
conceal it not, and say:
e‘Babylon is taken,
fBel is put to shame,
Merodach is dismayed.
eHer images are put to shame,
her idols are dismayed.’
3 “For gout of the north a nation has come up against her, hwhich shall make her land a desolation, and none shall dwell in it; iboth man and beast shall flee away.
4 j“In those days and in that time, declares the LORD, jthe people of Israel and the people of Judah shall come together, kweeping as they come, and they lshall seek the LORD their God. 5 mThey shall ask the way to Zion, with faces turned toward it, nsaying, ‘Come, let us join ourselves to the LORD in an oeverlasting covenant that will never be forgotten.’
6 p“My people have been lost sheep. qTheir shepherds have led them astray, turning them away on the mountains. From mountain to hill they have gone. They have forgotten their fold. 7 All who found them have devoured them, rand their enemies have said, ‘We are not guilty, for sthey have sinned against the LORD, ttheir habitation of righteousness, the LORD, uthe hope of their fathers.’
8 v“Flee from the midst of Babylon, vand go out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as male goats before the flock. 9 For behold, I am stirring up and bringing against Babylon wa gathering of great nations, from the north country. And they shall array themselves against her. From there she shall be taken. Their arrows are like a skilled warrior who does not return empty-handed. 10 xChaldea shall be plundered; all who plunder her shall be sated, declares the LORD.
11 y“Though you rejoice, though you exult,
O plunderers of my heritage,
though you frolic like a heifer in the pasture,
and neigh like stallions,
12 your mother shall be utterly shamed,
and she who bore you shall be disgraced.
Behold, she shall be the last of the nations,
za wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
13 aBecause of the wrath of the LORD she shall not be inhabited
but shall be an utter desolation;
beveryone who passes by Babylon shall be appalled,
band hiss because of all her wounds.
14 cSet yourselves in array against Babylon all around,
dall you who bend the bow;
shoot at her, spare no arrows,
efor she has sinned against the LORD.
15 fRaise a shout against her all around;
she has surrendered;
her bulwarks have fallen;
gher walls are thrown down.
For hthis is the vengeance of the LORD:
take vengeance on her;
ido to her as she has done.
16 Cut off from Babylon the sower,
and the one who handles the sickle in time of harvest;
jbecause of the sword of the oppressor,
kevery one shall turn to his own people,
and every one shall flee to his own land.
17 l“Israel is a hunted sheep mdriven away by lions. nFirst the king of Assyria odevoured him, and now at last pNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon qhas gnawed his bones. 18 Therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, rI am bringing punishment on the king of Babylon and his land, sas I punished the king of Assyria. 19 tI will restore Israel to his pasture, and the shall feed on uCarmel and in uBashan, and his desire shall be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in uGilead. 20 In those days and in that time, declares the LORD, viniquity shall be sought in Israel, and there shall be none, and sin in Judah, and none shall be found, for wI will pardon those whom I leave as a remnant.
21 “Go up against the land of Merathaim,1
and against the inhabitants of Pekod.2
Kill, xand devote them to destruction,3
declares the LORD, and do all that I have commanded you.
22 yThe noise of battle is in the land,
and great destruction!
23 zHow the hammer of the whole earth
is cut down and broken!
aHow Babylon bhas become
a horror among the nations!
24 cI set a snare for you and you were taken, O Babylon,
and dyou did not know it;
you were found and caught,
because you opposed the LORD.
25 The LORD has opened his armory
and brought out ethe weapons of his wrath,
for the Lord GOD of hosts has a work to do
in the land of the Chaldeans.
26 Come against her from every quarter;
open her granaries;
fpile her up like heaps of grain, and devote her to destruction;
let nothing be left of her.
27 Kill all gher bulls;
let them go down to the slaughter.
Woe to them, for their day has come,
hthe time of their punishment.
28 “A voice! They iflee and escape from the land of Babylon, jto declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, vengeance for khis temple.
29 l“Summon archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow. lEncamp around her; let no one escape. mRepay her according to her deeds; do to her according to all that she has done. For she has nproudly defied the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. 30 oTherefore her young men shall fall in her squares, and all her soldiers shall be destroyed on that day, declares the LORD.
31 “Behold, I am against you, O nproud one,
declares the Lord GOD of hosts,
pfor your day has come,
the time when I will punish you.
32 nThe proud one shall stumble and fall,
with none to raise him up,
qand I will kindle a fire in his cities,
and it will devour all that is around him.
33 “Thus says the LORD of hosts: rThe people of Israel are oppressed, and the people of Judah with them. All who took them captive have held them fast; sthey refuse to let them go. 34 tTheir Redeemer is strong; uthe LORD of hosts is his name. vHe will surely plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.
35 “A sword against the Chaldeans, declares the LORD,
and against the inhabitants of Babylon,
and against wher officials and her xwise men!
36 A sword against the diviners,
that they may become fools!
A sword against her ywarriors,
that they may be destroyed!
37 A sword against her horses and against her chariots,
and against all zthe foreign troops in her midst,
that athey may become women!
bA sword against all her treasures,
that they may be plundered!
38 cA drought against her waters,
that they may be dried up!
dFor it is a land of images,
and they are mad over idols.
39 e“Therefore wild beasts shall dwell with hyenas in Babylon,4 and ostriches shall dwell in her. She shall never again have people, nor be inhabited for all generations. 40 fAs when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring cities, declares the LORD, gso no man shall dwell there, and no son of man shall sojourn in her.
41 h“Behold, a people comes from the north;
a mighty nation and many kings
are stirring from the farthest parts of the earth.
42 They lay hold of bow and spear;
they are cruel and have no mercy.
The sound of them is like the roaring of the sea;
they ride on horses,
arrayed as a man for battle
against you, O daughter of Babylon!
43 “The king of Babylon heard the report of them,
and his hands fell helpless;
anguish seized him,
pain as of a woman in labor.
44 i“Behold, like a lion coming up from the thicket of the Jordan against a perennial pasture, I will suddenly make them run away from her, and I will appoint over her whomever I choose. For who is like me? Who will summon me? What shepherd jcan stand before me? 45 Therefore hear kthe plan that the LORD has made against Babylon, kand the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: lSurely the little ones of their flock shall be dragged away; surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate. 46 mAt the sound of the capture of Babylon the earth shall tremble, and her cry shall be heard among the nations.”
The Utter Destruction of Babylon 51 Thus says the LORD:
“Behold, I will stir up nthe spirit of a destroyer
against Babylon,
against the inhabitants of Leb-kamai,1
2 and I will send to Babylon winnowers,
and othey shall winnow her,
and they shall empty her land,
when they come against her from every side
pon the day of trouble.
3 qLet not the archer bend his bow,
and let him not stand up in his armor.
Spare not her young men;
rdevote to destruction2 all her army.
4 They shall fall down slain in the land of the Chaldeans,
sand wounded in her streets.
5 tFor Israel and Judah have not been forsaken
by their God, the LORD of hosts,
but the land of the Chaldeans3 is full of guilt
against the Holy One of Israel.
6 u“Flee from the midst of Babylon;
let every one save his life!
vBe not cut off in her punishment,
wfor this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance,
the repayment he is rendering her.
7 Babylon was xa golden cup in the LORD’s hand,
ymaking all the earth drunken;
zthe nations drank of her wine;
therefore the nations went mad.
8 aSuddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken;
bwail for her!
cTake balm for her pain;
perhaps she may be healed.
9 We would have healed Babylon,
but she was not healed.
dForsake her, and elet us go
each to his own country,
for fher judgment has reached up to heaven
and has been lifted up even to the skies.
10 gThe LORD has brought about our vindication;
hcome, let us declare in Zion
the work of the LORD our God.
11 i“Sharpen the arrows!
Take up the shields!
jThe LORD has stirred up the spirit of the kings of kthe Medes, because lhis purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, mfor that is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance for mhis temple.
12 n“Set up a standard against the walls of Babylon;
omake the watch strong;
set up watchmen;
prepare the ambushes;
lfor the LORD has both planned and done
what he spoke concerning the inhabitants of Babylon.
13 pO you who dwell by many waters,
rich in treasures,
your end has come;
the thread of your life is cut.
14 qThe LORD of hosts has sworn by himself:
Surely I will fill you with men, ras many as locusts,
sand they shall raise the shout of victory over you.
15 t“It is he who made the earth by his power,
who established the world by his wisdom,
and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.
16 When he utters his voice there is a tumult of waters in the heavens,
and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth.
He makes lightning for the rain,
and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.
17 Every man is stupid and without knowledge;
every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols,
for his images are false,
and there is no breath in them.
18 They are worthless, a work of delusion;
at the time of their punishment they shall perish.
19 Not like these is he who is the portion of Jacob,
for he is the one who formed all things,
and Israel is the tribe of his inheritance;
the LORD of hosts is his name.
20 “You are my hammer and weapon of war:
with you I ubreak nations in pieces;
with you I destroy kingdoms;
21 with you I break in pieces the horse and his rider;
with you I break in pieces the chariot and the charioteer;
22 with you I break in pieces man and woman;
with you I break in pieces vthe old man and the youth;
with you I break in pieces vthe young man and the young woman;
23 with you I break in pieces the shepherd and his flock;
with you I break in pieces the farmer and his team;
with you I break in pieces wgovernors and commanders.
24 x“I will repay Babylon and all the inhabitants of Chaldea before your very eyes for all the evil that they have done in Zion, declares the LORD.
25 “Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain,
declares the LORD, which destroys the whole earth;
I will stretch out my hand against you,
and roll you down from the crags,
yand make you a burnt mountain.
26 No zstone shall be taken from you for a corner
and no stone for a foundation,
but you shall be aa perpetual waste,
declares the LORD.
27 b“Set up a standard on the earth;
cblow the trumpet among the nations;
dprepare ethe nations for war against her;
summon against her fthe kingdoms,
gArarat, Minni, and hAshkenaz;
appoint a imarshal against her;
jbring up horses like bristling locusts.
28 dPrepare ethe nations for war against her,
the kings of kthe Medes, lwith their governors land deputies,
and every mland under their dominion.
29 nThe land trembles and writhes in pain,
ofor the LORD’s purposes against Babylon stand,
to make the land of Babylon a desolation,
without inhabitant.
30 The warriors of Babylon have ceased fighting;
they remain in their strongholds;
their strength has failed;
pthey have become women;
qher dwellings are on fire;
rher bars are broken.
31 One srunner runs to meet another,
and one messenger to meet another,
to tell the king of Babylon
that his city is taken on every side;
32 the fords have been tseized,
the marshes are burned with fire,
and the soldiers are in panic.
33 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel:
uThe daughter of Babylon is like ua threshing floor
at the time when it is trodden;
yet a little while
and vthe time of her harvest will come.”
34 “Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon whas devoured me;
he has crushed me;
he has made me an empty vessel;
xhe has swallowed me like ya monster;
he has filled his stomach with my delicacies;
he has rinsed me out.4
35 The violence done to me and to my kinsmen be upon Babylon,”
let the inhabitant of Zion say.
“My blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,”
let Jerusalem say.
36 Therefore thus says the LORD:
“Behold, zI will plead your cause
and take vengeance for you.
aI will dry up her sea
and bmake her fountain dry,
37 and Babylon shall become ca heap of ruins,
dthe haunt of jackals,
ea horror eand a hissing,
without inhabitant.
38 f“They shall roar together glike lions;
they shall growl like lions’ cubs.
39 hWhile they are inflamed hI will prepare them a feast
and imake them drunk, that they may become merry,
ithen sleep a perpetual sleep
and not wake, declares the LORD.
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter,
like rams and male goats.
41 “How jBabylon5 is taken,
kthe praise of the whole earth lseized!
How Babylon has become
a horror among the nations!
42 mThe sea has come up on Babylon;
she is covered with its tumultuous waves.
43 Her cities have become a horror,
na land of drought and a desert,
oa land in which no one dwells,
and through which no son of man passes.
44 And I will punish pBel in Babylon,
and qtake out of his mouth rwhat he has swallowed.
sThe nations shall no longer flow to him;
tthe wall of Babylon has fallen.
45 “Go out of the midst of her, umy people!
Let every one save his life
from vthe fierce anger of the LORD!
46 Let not your heart faint, and be not fearful
wat the report heard in the land,
xwhen a report comes in one year
and afterward a report in another year,
and violence is in the land,
xand ruler is against ruler.
47 “Therefore, behold, the days are coming
when yI will punish the images of Babylon;
zher whole land shall be put to shame,
and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.
48 aThen the heavens and the earth,
and all that is in them,
shall sing for joy over Babylon,
bfor the destroyers shall come against them out of the north,
declares the LORD. 49 Babylon must fall for the slain of Israel,
cjust as for Babylon have fallen the slain of all the earth.
50 d“You who have escaped from the sword,
go, do not stand still!
Remember the LORD from far away,
and let Jerusalem come into your mind:
51 e‘We are put to shame, for we have heard reproach;
edishonor has covered our face,
ffor foreigners have come
into the holy places of the LORD’s house.’
52 “Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD,
when yI will execute judgment upon her images,
gand through all her land
the wounded shall groan.
53 Though Babylon should hmount up to heaven,
and though she should ifortify her strong height,
yet destroyers would come from me against her,
declares the LORD.
54 j“A voice! A cry from Babylon!
The noise of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!
55 For the LORD is laying Babylon waste
and stilling her mighty voice.
kTheir waves roar like many waters;
the noise of their voice is raised,
56 for a destroyer has come upon her,
upon Babylon;
her warriors are taken;
their bows are broken in pieces,
lfor the LORD is a God of recompense;
he will surely repay.
57 mI will make drunk her officials and her wise men,
nher governors, her commanders, and her warriors;
they shall sleep a perpetual sleep and not wake,
declares othe

A lot of Colemakkers suggest not remapping keys because most of your movement should be done with things other than hjkl anyway. I use all the normal motions plus EasyMotion, but I do still find the basic ones important, so I did remap. That was a minor pain, but not as much as you'd think, and for me it was worth it.
Here are my vim maps for Colemak Mod-DHM. What most people do will be a little different since I'm not using standard Colemak, but this might help as a starting point.
Since i is now a motion, I use t to enter insert mode, and I think of it as (t)ype.
Thanks to a small fixes section at the bottom, that doesn't break sequences like (c)hange-(i)n-" or (d)elete-(t)ill-:

2020.06.14 17:46 Grant_Smith_52 30 Day Water Fast End

30 Day Water Fast End
Day 30. Made it. It's not that I have incredible will power. It's just I wanted a change. I want to be around for my children and someday grandchildren with a healthy quality of life. I know some don't have that luxury and I don't judge them in anyway for being overweight or whatever they are struggling with. Life throws all sorts of challenges our way. Many of them are from our DNA, family, the environment we were raised in and other external factors. But as long as I strive to be better, kinder, speak less and listen more, be compassionate to others and help the poor and needy, slow to anger then everything will work out in the end. Today isn't the end of a diet, it's just another day I have been given to watch the sun rise, smile to someone feeling down and lighten the load of those around me. I am thankful to God for another day (and for the taste of food tomorrow). 😊 I'll weigh myself tomorrow so we can see what happened.
One day AFTER fast ended. As a parting gift to ending my fast I woke to another charlie horse last night, this time in the right calf/leg. It wasn't as painful as the first but even with coconut water and a multivitamin it wasn't enough electrolytes. Lesson learned! Last couple days I just allowed my body to nibble a little more and yes that would make it less of a fast since I was actually starting to consume foods. I nibbled on some popcorn and chicken. I just let dissolve in my mouth. I'll add watermelon, coconut water and broth today. Maybe even down a Gatorade or two to get some immediate electrolytes. I don't have that same reaction others do when tasting food for the first time. It's just another opportunity to remember not to binge, eat small and wisely. I still have more weight to lose but by being wise in my choices I can continue this journey.
Ending weight of week four 178 lbs.
Weight lost during week four: 5 lbs.
If you are doing a two week or longer fast I STRONGLY recommend an electrolyte supplement. Google "electrolyte supplements" for ideas. If you don't get any charlie horses, then you will have been more successful than me. Plus I am hoping you will have more energy and stamina to do things I couldn't because I didn't know to do but learned through experience.
I go in for my blood tests today and will follow-up with a doctor next week.
Three days after fast ended I had my third charley horse. As you can read below I did some research into electrolytes. Can't keep having these and need relief sooner than later.
If you started reading this and missed the first 29 days see this link. I've included all my lessons learned at the beginning.
https://www.reddit.com/Water_Fasting/comments/gswi09/30_day_water_fast_drinking_only_tap_wate

Here is what I have discovered about electrolytes.
First, since my fast ended on Monday and it's Wednesday and I am had my THIRD charley horse, I took it seriously since what I am eating/drinking is not making the muscle cramps go away. I was consuming Propel (2 packets/day), a Nunn sports tablet for electrolytes, 2 drinks of coconut water along with a Centrum Silver (for over 50 years) vitamin.
Second.
There is no ONE product that has 100% of daily recommended intake for calcium, potassium, sodium, chloride, phosphate and magnesium (electrolytes). According to the website- https://elete.com/how-to-get-rid-of-a-charley-horse/:
Electrolytes are certain minerals that play an important role in muscle function. Low levels of any of these minerals can allow the muscle to contract, but prevent it from relaxing, Some researchers believe a mineral imbalance can negatively affect blood flow to the muscles and that a deficiency of some minerals. So, to get rid of a charley horse or prevent one in the future, consider adding essential electrolytes.

  • Potassium: A lack of potassium can interfere with the muscles’ ability to use glycogen, a sugar that is the muscles’ main source of energy.
  • Sodium: This is an essential electrolyte; however, most people get plenty of it in their diet. Sodium should only be a nutritional concern if your intake is low or you sweat a lot while working or exercising. If either of these two instances are the case, then replacing sodium is something you should consider.
  • Magnesium: An essential mineral involved in muscle function that helps muscles to contract and relax.
  • Chloride: an electrolyte that helps your body regulate the level of fluids in your body. Chloride’s role in fluid balance makes it especially important because dehydration can be a contributing factor to muscle cramps.
I bought KETO K1000 50 servings, but it came too late since I had already started eating so I haven't used it yet, but glad I got it even though I haven't had any muscle cramps since I started eating. Also, bought bone broth, but it also came too late for me to use.
Two weeks ago I had my colonoscopy. Done and good to go. Last week had my blood tests done. The result is the doctor took me off of my high cholesterol drug. He also lowered my thyroid medicine. Naturally I have put on some weight as I begin to eat again, but as I eat reduced quantities of food, eat better quality of food and with my reduced metabolism, I feel like I have given my lifestyle and body the jump start it needed to move forward. But I still only recommend people do a two week water fast for the most effective weight loss - with electrolytes. YOU can make the change you need in your life. Don't worry about where you are. Don't worry about the body you don't have. Don't worry about slipping up. Make that change when you're ready. Believe in yourself. Eat less, eat healthy, strength train and thank God He has given you one more day to see the sunrise. Now, go forth and do great things.
Please see my third article on what happened after! https://www.reddit.com/useGrant_Smith_52/comments/j516sn/water_fast_oops_i_did_again/

2018.08.18 12:57 yipidee Electric cars/scooters

Just wondering if anyone had any experience with all-electric vehicles in Japan? Either cars or scooters. This time last year road worthy electric vehicles were few and far between, but since the popularity of hybrids, then the Leaf, the car scene seems to be growing rapidly. And Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki are all making electric scooters now too (technically 原付一種 I think).
Anyone using a Leaf or scooter for their daily commute, or getting around town. How is the experience? Is charging a hassle? Is setting up charging facilities at home a pain? Do the high setup costs take away from the economy of an electric vehicle?
Basically I am driving a 2nd hand car I picked up cheap at auction. It does the job admirably and I've no problem driving it for a few more years (I commute by car). My wife will get her license later this year and will want something for getting around, I want to make the switch to electric, but I'm not looking to break the bank to do it. If I could leave the car at home and do my commute (about 10km) on an e-scooter, that would be fine. My car doesn't get great mileage driving around town, about 10km/l, so going for a small eCar is another possibly better option. Any thoughts? Would even consider a Coms if it fit the bill.

2018.03.12 11:02 InfamousStudent He came back to earth worne by Battle [no real title]

He came back to earth worne by Battle, [{he wore it within}]. Tired from 40-years of memries - since Z-Day as a Sixth-former... 'Asunder'd' as they would wax politely. ...Exposed to Dark; abandoned. 'Trial-by (a lake) of-fire,' 'Sink-or-Swim,' or 'Fight-or-Flight;' it had a dozen names. He awoke upon landing, as seven old ISR-671 Blackbirds took-off. He liked her name right-off, 'Junebug,' (-from dry and dusty Florida - geological center of Amerique). 'Pretty-name for a pretty-girl,' they would say. And he was quickly taken by her coloring outside the lanes: her spidersnake, her antique monkey-wrench collection. She was physically adept as well, scoring 20 against the bot was Qualified, as they would say. And it didn't take him much time to learn a healthy bit from the subtleties of her body movements, (he reckoned it was mainly her fourth vertabra floating - yawing tilts perhaps; freely twisting in and of her own willful observances - or was some of it deep in her relaxed breathing he heard). He was always perceiving bodyminds, scanning for a thousand insights in their micromoves and saccads; or lack-thereof. But he mostly scanned the voices - living holographic imprints formally-structured - yet, unconsciously tilted and wrenched too-forward too far back; almost-always twisted and turned. No one controls a three-demensional ghost in the free. She was much more free than the usual bodymind; she was way out of reg - but not out of reach. Clannids were watching. In the first moment of quiet, clannid de-tails were flit as-to his past: he was in an elete force, (they didn't even use standard-arms or even neuro-filiments). People called them 'dicers,' 'thumpers,' {knife-handles: no one had the first-guess as to how or why} or 'screemers' {strange-whistles sometimes - as they attacked?}. They were called the worst of the worst. "Wonen, chidren, and dogs," was their motto, they said. No one knew how they worked; sent them into a city and rinsed-up after them in the morning. (What they left out was he was a last-minute ruit, sent without no knife-handle - confiscated and just given to another - a fixer.) Some said he Wh'spered two, or three, or four-hundren. Few cared about those numbers; if your name was on the board, that's all they saw; that's all they knew or cared to not-know. She heard, believed, and she feared; in-part, in a present-tense hidden-sense. But she had a gentle spirit. So he found her still yawning at times, and could eak-in a caring or humerous phrase, and she would lessen-up enough to they could share each one's motives and derives. She joked that he loved her; he laughed it to the side; (she didn't yet know the measuring of the word, or did she). She used the word 'love,' and it wasn't love. Maybe there isn't a word for it any more. He wanted to say he liked her. He wanted to learn more from her, and to give more, and just to be as well; as he'd had dreams underneath the Wars - he'd seen a clean light in there - he was sure of it at times. It wasn't burning. It wasn't scorching. It didn't even radiate; just was beautiful. [But that exactly was for another time... he alone was ready for that, and knew no one else could outlive it.] She was from the old world, where his boyish memries were still hiding and playing. He thought it plesing to maybe see childish things brought to a still-trite fruition. And he felt for her ills as well: born beaten, bruised later byhappens; he was drawn-to. He was a warrior as a protector, and with her he'd almost forgotten the War. Then came the bomm. Just one more reprieve was all it took - she saw his back from afar. Her sigh of relief as those dark pages could be considered quietly, or maybe put down for a breath... a clannid saw the moment and moved in close ahind her and suddenly ~whistled~ -- she screamed froze-up breath-tight instictively fearing ~he~ had gotten 'blade-to-back' even before her breath could free her. The clannad waffed-it-off, feigning a smile; knowing the bomm was now inner. The charge itself was in a mechinism she was working on - a dangerous one in its own right - layers of cautions were necessarily-in; now fears unknowingly-compounded; a perfect storm ready to fire - then stacked precariously on a couple of recent words like 'dumb,' and his own half-second of illwise impatience {he paused then to maybe undo it}. Seconds, microseconds, and nanoseconds flowed quietly away like they were free to stay or leave --- they were aback, her machine scrying metal against metal -- his silent sitwork, details-doing. A lightning-strike set-off a solid-metal 'krakk' a wall of sound blew through her, and time slam-stopped for one violent instant, and the body broke gears to catch up and defend her. And before he could turn to see her cover the shrapnel in her face, her eyes wide in disbelief, her gut wrenched in defence ... instinct reeled her downward and inward in sheer fear of that "Unseen Everlurking Malevolence come down-upon and around-her." Her feelings were now upheaved, now unsheathed, burning, and pointing right now at him -- now maligned against him. He saw the anger seething in her, at-first anger at him, then then maybe as she realised all was not the-attack, as she first felt it to be, (raw emotions still-coursing like a flash-flood crashing up the turns and chewing-up old boulders). Then also anger at herself for the mistaken-attack, the 'dumbness,' the littleness, impatience-causing, trusting, all of it all; the physical pain, and of course still, the echoing of impact - the hammer of physical sound shaking delicate soft senses. He should have seen the signs of shock: just like electrocution - "too much sudden energy for an unprepared system." He should have known the old-world fears are thick and obfusque. He is sorry she felt so hurt, sorry for the angst, sorry for not knowing how to help. He will miss her. {*based on a true story}

2016.05.17 19:59 Slonyara My (Mostly) Solo PVE Featherfoot Build (Wizard C3 – Linker C2 – Runecaster – Featherfoot)

Wizard C3 – Linker C2 – Runecaster – Featherfoot.
Hi all! Often, I see questions about some rarer classes that my build incorporates so in the end I decided to collect all info I managed to get while playing this build. Also, I’m only interested in PVE, so I have no idea how good or bad it is in PVP.
I’m not going to describe equipment here as it’s pretty much the same for most wizards, the only thing I want to emphasize is that being a Linker, do get that Ignition asap! The damage procs even from the Reflect Shield, and a sight of burning monsters spewing blood everywhere is priceless!
Since it’s mostly a solo build, its party usefulness is a bit limited, but you can still act as a decent Linker and will thus contribute to the party’s damage, especially if you explain the JP+HK combo trick to them.
Also, as it’s a linker, it shines on large groups and underperforms on single targets, especially on bosses.
Class choice:
Wizard C3:
I never used any other Wizard skills as they become obsolete very quickly or are plain useless (Lethargy, Earthquake, Energy Bolt).
Linker C2:
JP + HK combo is awesome. It increases your damage on the entire linked group considerably (see the video above in the MM section), or you can use Sleep on them to heal with BS later. Just make sure you max both HK attributes (not expensive, only 5 levels each) as it will give you a tremendous damage boost on groups within 2 seconds after HK. Exampe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvygXgovOiw&feature=youtu.be - with the first group, only JP was used, 2 MM charges removed roughly half of HP; with the second, JP+HK was used, a single MM charge killed almost all of them It is also important that you gather large groups, the more monsters, the greater the damage (just don’t get killed in the process, archers are our plague).
Why Linker C2 and not C1/C3? Linker C1’s JP can link 5 enemies; Linker C2 can use JP to link 8 enemies, which is much better; Linker C3 only adds 2 more, 10 in total, and nothing else basically; another 1 second of HK on later levels doesn't count as late game monsters sometimes start spreading even before it expires. No new damage spells, only a doubtful buff.
Actually, I’m only using JP and HK. Other Linker’s skills seem almost useless:
Runecaster: It's more of a fun/filler class, but it is also one of a few classes that has only 1 circle, therefore it’s good to fill this one slot as most other classes really shine at Circle 3. The quest is rather boring though and includes a lot of waiting, too.
Also, ALL spells have a 8 second cast duration (or 4 seconds duration if you took Wizard3's QC) and can be interrupted easily, also by the time you finish casting your Rune of Destruction, that group of fat mobs might be long dead. Aaaaand you spend a rune (500 silver each) for every spell you cast successfully. Finally, because of the server lag, I have to wait for 5-6 seconds instead of 4 to cast reliably, as many times my casting ended with nothing (probably the server thinks I haven’t held the button long enough). P.S. Runecaster's mantle is magestic AF and even after becoming a Featherfoot, I kept it. It flows in the air so elegantly!
Featherfoot, finally! The only class in the entire game that can make monsters lose literally litres of blood all over the floor!
WARNING! These 2 most important FF’s skills above (BS & BB) only work on certain types of monsters, namely Demons, Insects and Animals. As for Mutants and Plants, they have no blood so you cannot heal off them with BS (you can still deal damage while you have enough HP); BB won’t cause Bleed, so it will only damage the monster once. Same applies to PVP (I tested it on a player), maybe players are Mutants or Plants (at least some of us are) :D
I tried this skill while farming Blue Elets (approx.90k hp monsters) and liked it, it looks good for solo gameplay where you fight against melee monsters: √ the bone can draw aggro, √ it can withstand a lot of damage without consequences, √ it deals some damage and debuffs mobs, and the Curse debuff spreads to all linked mobs immediately, √ it stays for almost a minute, and you don't even have to do anything but to cast it and walk away, gathering other monsters. Just bear in mind that it has rather long casting animation that you cannot interrupt unlike Reflect Shield.
The gameplay vs monsters is usually like this: gather a group, buff yourself, JP+HK, stab them with BB, shoot 1 MM, step aside, shoot the remaining MM charge, run around until cooldown. If you’re low on HP, you can fully replenish it even from a single monster at the price of your SP, which is fully recovered after 25-30 seconds of sitting by the fire. Back to fight!

2015.11.16 11:32 Gigglesticker Suggestion for Base Building / App

Hi. I'm kinda crap at Reddit so here it is. While playing through, I have encountered a list of issues which I've seen quite a few decent suggestions for, and I wanted to post on here to see if we can make enough support tickets to see a proper change. For what you might ask? Well dear reader, the settlement building. It is amazing, with abilities to create supply lines, this is a whole new added level of complexity. So what are the issues and my idea?
Integrate the building with the app on iOS or Android or maybe even web app. The app is ok, the offline mod elets me check up on my inventory and min-max on the train ride home, but the coup-de-grace can be in the form of allowing us to manage settlers to different stations, maybe create stations (given we have scavenged them while playing) so that we can place them in game knowing what we have in base and our plans for expansion. This would definitely help with a few of the below issues:
  1. Extreme Micro Management: Assigning settlers to different occupations and finding them is a pain in the neck. Often I move a settler from food to defense by accident without knowing who the settler is supposed to be doing. One suggestion was to change settlers outfits, which is alright but it's only a half measure. Another suggestion was for us to be able to see who is assigned to what station which is far more manageable. With the app, we don't even need the in-game changes to be drastic, all we need is to be able to use the app to reliably switch stations. Kinda like the Shelter app, where we can change rooms.
  2. Time wasted putting out fires: Settlement management is fine, but when each settlement is growing and we have to travel from one settlement to another all the time, it starts to get really annoying. I have often fast traveled, only to find out I don't have enough copper to build proper defenses, or that I need more people to set up supply lines. With the app, we can plan out for all of these and when we go in game, we can travel around and plant and customize the buildings, which we built in the app.
  3. Supply chain management: With the app, we'll be able to have a bit more control over the supply chains, and maybe even send supplies from one town to other or transfer goods from the supply depots to our player if we were in town when we closed the game.
All these suggestions are quality of life improvements. They're not supposed to make things too easy for the app crowd, and whatever that can be done should also be able to be done in the game. I would love to hear what you guys think.
