There should be more restrictions put on for kids not to be on and I feel can be proven already For restrictions. In the matter of a dopamine deficiency, considering the only study I can find which was provided to me by a doctor because they have access to more. 1 year on 2 years off to take dopamine to get back to the same level you are ignorant to think that this isn’t messing with kids, brain chemistry, and Greatly can give us an answer on the Unknown. And at the end of the day, they’re creating drug addict considering it’s already titled highly addictive and they restrictions put in place allow people like myself to be on 60 mg a day as a fifth grader without any say.
Simply look at when this medication came out and the increase in narcolepsy diagnosis from those kids growing into adults. It’s a huge peak as well as just keeps getting bigger every year. Hmmmmmmmm wonder y why And how is it a dumb carpenter figured this out.
I’ll tell you, I am not against the medication I think if properly put out there such as 18 years old and minimum of 15 years old anything other than that extreme cases and I mean extreme such as narcolepsy in a child not ADHD. A hugely ADD. Myself obviously yes it will be hard. However, I wish I learned to cope with them at 18. Decide for myself if I wanted to help. I need the help. For a while I was accused of being a drug addict till I found out actually it’s narcolepsy that’s why I needed more or it wasn’t because it not being treated properly now I’m proper treatment. I’m sorry but I just can’t ask why. Not a yes man. Never have been never will.

I bought a new gas cooktop for our kitchen remodel. It is a high end sealed cooktop that I purchased from a authorized dealer. It is the propane gas model
The cooktop was installed and we have been using it for a few months with no issues. We really like it.
One day we had guests over for dinner and as I turned off the last burner, there was a loud bang and all the knobs and burners were flung up into the air. Fortunately, the pot that was cooking did not get thrown all over me. This happened right in front of 4 of us.
The next day I contacted the service department of the manufacturers Service and spoke to a representative named "John" . I explained the situation and gave him the model number, serial number and a copy of the sales invoice.
Later that day I received an email from "John" that said "We are searching for a servicer and should have one in a couple of days"
A week goes by with no word so I send a email asking what is happening. "John" sends me an email saying that "We are still searching for a servicer in your area"
We live in Waynesville NC which is 40 minutes from Asheville and an hour and a half or so from Knoxville.
After 3 weeks from my original complaint with no results, I decided to get firmer with the service company . I sent "John" an email saying that his reply of "We are still searching for a servicer in your area" was unacceptable and that I was putting them on notice that if I didn't get contacted by a Servicer in 48 hours or a tracking number for a new unit shipped to me, I was going to take stronger action. I also said that if my property was damaged or a member of my family is injured or killed because of this defective cooktop, I would be sure to sue them for anything and everything I could.
There has been no response from either a service tech or "John" at the servicing company.
So besides posting about this issue on social media, what do you suggest is my next move? Other than contacting an attorney, do any of you have any suggestions?

Yesterday I had my first day in my new job. I resigned over a month ago and started my new job working for a federal agency. Let me tell you, it is so much different than teaching.
For one, the job is an office job and one thing that blew my mind was the absolute silence. The fact that everyone was so quiet and so was the office.
The second thing is I could do whatever I wanted more or less when it came to using the bathroom or making a phone call. Nobody told me anything about it. In addition, dress code is very laid back. Jeans everyday with a nice shirt.
It felt so different. This morning one of the ladies in the break room said "Good we didn't scare you off." My response was sincere but I said, "I taught high school for 11 years, there's nothing you can do to scare me off."
This may not be how it is forever but right now, it seems like a job I can get used to.

I know this is primarily a PVP game, but I'm loving just playing it PVE on brutal.
The progression is super satisfying, but at the moment after killing Dracula, you got these really cool gearsets and builds, theres no endgame content match for your power, with that comes my two sugestions: Uber VBloods and T3 Incursions
1- T3 Incursions: So it would be like T2 Incursions but higher level enemies more loot whatever, and they would drop materials needed to summon the uber version of bosses (more on that on the second point)
2- Uber VBloods: Simple, more powerful versions of the VBloods at a high item level. Killing the normal VBlood could have a chance to drop some kind of item that toghether with the material from a T3 Incursion would allow you to summon an Uber version of it.
For the summoning maybe add some item you get via quest(after dracula) that works like a portal to an arena where you can summon these Ubers.
And thats it, for rewards from these VBloods im a bit out of ideas, so would love to hear what you guys think would be suitable rewards for ubers (maybe their heads as decor?)

“That’s strange,” Exar said a minute later, “I’m not picking up any of the satellite constellations. If it was just one of them knocked out, I’d put it down to a scheduled maintenance. But all of em? Fishy, that’s what it is.”
“I don’t understand,” Rene’s spirits plummeted at the news. He should have known it wouldn’t be so easy.
“Me neither, chief. But take it easy!” Exar assured him, “There’s an easy fix for that. Just hike me up someplace with better reception. Any place where we can get above all these damn trees is good.”
“I’m afraid that’s not exactly an option, noble Exar.”
Rene briefly summarized the situation, filling in the details whenever Exar interrupted him with a question, which was not often.
“Got it,” Exar said after listening attentively, “In short, you’ve got a tribe of devolved humanoids on your tail, also infected by the same parasitoids as our young miss over here. Comms are down, and our closest exfil point is at least thirty-nine klicks due southeast, where our friends, ‘the Fleet’, will be waiting for you.”
“How did you measure the distance so precisely?” Rene asked.
“The T.O.R.U. you were piloting is currently in power cycling mode, but it’s still sending out its mayday message for the repair crews. Judging by the fact that it ejected us via safety pod, the unit must’ve suffered potentially catastrophic damage to its subsystems. Not to worry, though. My inbuilt Geiger counter just gave the all-clear, so there was no meltdown in the reactor core.”
“The most pressing issue is that you have less than 72 hours’ worth of fungicidal doses left, and nothing with which to defend yourself but the monomachete from your kit. In addition, this young lady—”
“Zildiz,” Rene supplied him.
“My bad—Zildiz. I like it, very exotic. Zildiz belongs to a culture which behaves aggressively towards Exodus Industries development projects here on the ground. That everything?” Exar briskly concluded.
Rene nodded. Exar then immediately began outlining a plan of action. Their first priority was to gain altitude and establish communication with ‘Exodus Industries’, an entity which Rene assumed was the ancestor-gods’ equivalent to Fleet Command.
Exar would then signal for help using the spinning bowl (which it referred to as an ‘allcomm antenna’) and an interstellar shuttle would be sent to transport them to the one of the moons.
The moons! Rene was giddy at the prospect of becoming the first man to have returned to mankind’s celestial origin. He tried not to get his hopes too high, however, knowing life’s avowed fondness for ruining every dream a man ever had.
Failing that, Exar would use the high vantage point to triangulate their position using nearby geographic landmarks. Once they had their bearings, it would be a simple matter of hiking over to the nearest hardened base and knocking on the airlock doors.
“I must say, you’re taking all this bad news remarkably in stride, wise Exar,” he told the beeping sphere.
“Oh, puh-leeze! This ain’t my first rodeo, pardner. We E.X.A.R. units have dealt with far worse in our time.”
“Really? Worse than Arachnea?”
“Oh, is that what the kids are calling this place these days? Sure is catchier than 65 Syngman Bb, lemme tell ya. But yeah, this here is nuthin.”
Exar chuckled, a child amused by the backwardness of his senile grandparents.
“Alien plague strains from the thawed-out heart of an asteroid. Cosmophage armadas unleashed by rogue A.I. Not to mention all those privateer raids on the fringes of Pact space. We’ve dealt with them all, helped people survive through the worst the galaxy can throw at them. And with 95% success rate, too, if I may add,” Exar said somewhat immodestly, “Anywho, that’s enough of me jawing. Let’s go mobile, chief.”
“What, right now?”
“The mist’s our best shot, bo-sing. Natural concealment. No telling how long it’ll last.”
Before they left, Rene had Exar explain the functions of all the tools in the kit. The sphere confirmed what Rene had suspected: the slate fed on the radiance of the suns. Exar called it a ‘solar cell panel’. In turn, the pronged cords attached to the solar cell could transfer energy to artefact he wanted to use.
He connected the panel to the mysterious gauntlet with the underslung pipe, which Exar informed him was a ‘laser designator’, a tool meant for guiding in airdropped supplies or flying machines.
“It also doubles as a heat source. Just up the wattage on that sucker with the slide wheel on the edge of the hand. See it?”
Rene put on the gauntlet and activated it by means of a green switch under the thumb. A tight needle of red light shone from the tube, and Rene understood that it was basically like the electrochemical torches that miners used. When he adjusted the slide wheel the needle of light narrowed and grew brighter. Where it touched the granite walls of the burrow there, sour-smelling wisps of smoke rose.
Hot enough to scorch stone? He would have to be careful where he pointed this.
“Go easy on it, though,” Exar advised him, “That kinda power output will drain the juice in a jiffy.”
“The juice?” Rene repeated stupidly.
Exar made it clear to him that the artefacts could store ‘the juice’ from the panel. Moreover, the panel could be mounted on the front or the back of the jumpsuit by means of the same backpack rigging that held the breathing apparatus, allowing the user to collect the juice and charge up to two devices (Exar included) even while on the move. Even the bulky survival kit could be could be fastened to his loadout with a set of clasps at the bottom of the pack which Rene hadn’t noticed.
“As for me, I can hitch a ride on your backpack as well,” Exar told him brightly. And indeed, there was a spherical indentation above the breathing apparatus where Exar could fasten himself in with his stubby spike legs.
Rene whistled appreciatively at the compact nature of the jumpsuit’s design; the entire survival kit was so cleverly put together, a testament to the ancestor-gods’ practical mindset.
He secured his gear, choosing to split the juices between Exar and the gauntlet, and got ready to leave. Rene crouched at the hatch of the burrow like a man in a trench waiting for the shrill whistle that would propel him up and over into the desolate no-man’s land.
Then he noticed Zildiz still huddled in place, not even daring to look at him or the talking sphere. Rene had originally been grateful that Exar’s appearance had shut her up, but this state of catatonic shock of hers worried him.
“Coming?” he asked her.
“I’m not going anywhere with that…that thing!” she stated categorically.
“Was it something I said?” Exar sounded hurt.
“The simulacrum said it would cut me out of my exomorph. That would kill me, Fleet-man.”
“Madame, I got no intention of hurting you!” Exar protested, “But the fact is, you’re sick. The parasite’s attached to so many of the organs in your body, that I fear that it’s totally coopted their functions. Our people have the technology to reverse all that.”
“I will not heed the promises of a slaved intelligence!” she snapped.
Their argument was interrupted by a chorus of hair-raising screams from the jungle beyond. Even in those guttural, inhuman voices there was no mistaking the notes of grief and rage.
“They’ve found Kryptus,” Rene surmised, “Just like you said they would.”
“I take it the natives are restless,” Exar tittered nervously, “Tailo, methinks we gotta go.”
Rene saw Zildiz hesitate, weighing the balance of her fears and forming an internal consensus. He made a move to tip the scales in his favor, and spoke to her from the heart:
“Zildiz. I swear to you that as long as it is within my power to protect you, I will not allow you to come to harm. You are a prisoner of penultimate importance to the Fleet. I’d sooner die than fail in my mission to get you back to civilization. If you doubt my intentions, consider the fact that nobody in their right minds would’ve tried so hard to keep you alive, not unless they have very good reasons to do so.”
“I am not like the Leapers or your people, the Gallivants. I am a soldier of the Fleet, and my priority is the continuation of my species—our species,” he added firmly, “Now, I can’t begin to imagine what horrors and depravities your kind have suffered these past few centuries, or what the Vitalus has taught you to believe. But in my mind, we are all one people under the same god. If that god is the Vitalus, then it is clear that he hates us. Why else would he, in all his supposed omnipotence, condemn us to live in this unending state of warfare and ignorance? Why does he forbid the full use of the human intellect, the sole source of our comfort and security in an uncaring universe? Why must he despise us so?”
“I don’t know the answers to those questions. But I do know this: I do not hate you, Zildiz of the Gallivants. In fact, I would very much like to help you. Will you let me do that?”
Rene stood up and lifted the hatch, turning to offer her a hand.
“Besides! If you come with me, we can go ask the gods in person.”
This is certainly new, Zildiz thought, unsure of what to make of Rene’s offer. His suggestion of a pan-kindred alliance bound together by their shared ancestry was ridiculous, of course. She knew enough of the mathematical models and the general principles of nature to know that such an undertaking was doomed by definition. And yet here was an opportunity unlike any other.
Rene meant to take her to one of the last remaining holdfasts of the Betrayers. Who would have thought that those ancient demons were still clinging on to life, lurking in some nameless abyss, waiting for their chance to wreak one final act of vengeance upon an unsuspecting Arachnea.
And here she was, uniquely placed to destroy them all in one fell stroke. Once she was nestled in that abode of evil, a single transmission from her magnetosynaptic organ to the Vitalus was all it would take to bring Its righteous fury down upon them.
The rewards would be immense. At the very least they would make her a Matriarch. Her gilt helix would live on forever in the generations to come, her legacy enshrined in the undying architecture of the genome. Her children would never go hungry or cold for the rest of their lives. She and her brood could have their pick of exomorph grafts.
Infrared eyes for night stalking, hypo thorax stabilizer tendons for prolonged flight, extra waste ducts, subdermal heat signature regulators, biochemical afterburners to add thrust, not to mention a whole slew of offensive weaponry—nothing would be off the table!

I'm F34. A year ago I was diagnosed with insulin resistance (HOMA 2.5 and A1C 5.7). I tried my best to keep my bs as steady as possible with diet. It worked for a while and I managed to get the HOMA to around 1.7 but the A1C didn't change at all.
The problem now is that I'm starting to loose weight drastically and I'm feeling weak. I checked with my doctor and he doesn't see anything alarming. I also lost my appetite and when I tried to count calories I noticed that I barely eat 1200cals. So the weight loss is making sense. Now I thought about trying to up my calories but eating healthy makes this mission almost impossible. I tried increasing carb but I get massive headache whenever I eat.
So my questions are: how can I up the calories without having sugar spikes ? And why do I get the headache like 5 minutes after eating a carby meal even if my bs is not high by then. I tried to test when I had really painful headache and it was 87...

I've been dating my fiancé for four years, and until now, our relationship has been going great. But we went to a school reunion of mine, and he overheard some of my friends teasing me about being useless. He acted a little oddly the rest of the night. I thought it was just awkwardness from being around a bunch of my friends he didn't know, so I left early.
We pulled over to get drinks on the way back, and when I brought them back to the car, he was pretty upset. He had looked through my journal (he's allowed), and seemed disgusted with what I was like as a teen. I laughed out of at first, been when he was serious, we started to fight.
Don't get me wrong - I was an absolute waste in high school. I fully didn't attend classes and would have been expelled if that wouldn't have cost the school money. But I had my excuses - not good ones, but nonetheless. I wasn't a delinquent or anything, I just... treated the school like an apartment complex. 😅 I was actually really well liked (because, hey, I had nothing better to do than help out), and my best friend ended up valedictorian.
But I don't see any reason that would be a problem now. I was a lazy, aggrieved teen for four years more than a decade ago. I've been a rancher for twice that! I don't think it suggests that I'm going to break under pressure or not be able to take care of others, because my whole job is taking care of birds and livestock in bad situations. My fiancé has said that he was first attracted to me because of how responsible and attentive I am towards them.
Now, should I have told him sooner? Probably, yeah. But I don't know anything about what he was like in high school either, and I didn't want to come off as whiny or bring up something I'm ashamed of. I genuinely didn't think it would matter to him. And I can't help but be offended that it is.

I am F 24, working as an admin assistant in the government. (My first work since I graduated college in 2022) A month ago, my boss talked to me and said that they will start training me in preparing annual investment and budget plans for the office since I am the next in rank.
Yesterday, I started my training and I felt anxious. Biglang nag-sink in how serious the work is. It felt like a new world to me. Something I have never done before. I had so many doubts if I can do it.

See Title - those men and women that are single and looking - what catagories do you place the opposite sex in, and what causes them to be in a specific catagory? please be honest.
I'll go first:

• If a women is nice (give good vibes, not closed off) and can hold a conversation and also somewhat physically attractive to me (the bar is not high here - any women who lives an active lifestyle would count, - I don't need to feel intense physical attraction, I just to feel like I actually can get physical with the person) - I I know I could potentially date her if their was more chemistry when we got to know each other more.
• The same women above, but I'm not physically attracted to her at all (usually due to her being highly overweight/obese) - I would not pursue anything romantic.
• A women who is heavily in social media for validation or is more of the "party" type with is in her own "bubble" and is completely unaware of the deeper issues in the world / philosophical conversations - I cannot feel attracted to this women since I would not form any connection with her.

I'd say in the end - about 1 out of 3 or 4 would fit the type I'd give a chance to pursure more. Going out and meeting new people - I frequently run into women that I'd give a chance with.

Hi everyone, I’ve been interested in getting a book subscription sometime in the near future and while in the long run I feel that maybe the book only version would be the most reasonable choice, I quite like the thought of some bookish treats at least at the beginning.
Now, my question is which UK based box would you say has the better quality/curation and do themes correspond to their books?
Design wise, I’ve seen nice editions/extras from most options, but I noticed that maybe Fairy Loot has a tendency to put character designs on things rather than more neutral choices? I don’t mind some, but I prefer more subtle designs overall. (Beyond dust jackets, who does the nicer book editions?)
When it comes to goodies I was wondering if Illumicrate or Fairyloot have types of extras that are specific to them. How unique are they compared the other services or to other boxes of their own lineup?
I’ve seen some talk about bookends, tins or planters but I’m struggling to really understand who does what and which might be nicer. Do you feel some items are too repetetive?
Also who has better quality/priduciton values? I like trinkets as much as the next person (really, I’m a magpie) but all that glitters isnt gold and I’m a bit concerned about stuff being cheaply (and perhaps questionably) manufactured in terms of materials. I’m not a tinfoil kind of person, but how much care is put into stuff not being toxic/being safe to drink from, use or wear?

Hi everyone! I could really use some advice on training my reactive dog.
Here's the situation:
When my 10-month-old Korean Jindo dog sees another dog, he immediately lies down. But as they get closer, he starts lunging, jumping, and whining. He totally goes crazy. It’s so embarrassing to walk him! 😭 Some dog owners find it cute and always tell me it’s because he’s still very young, so they let my dog play with theirs even more. I don’t think it helps because my dog only gets what he wants.
He doesn't bark or growl. I've seen him interact with other dogs off-leash, and he plays well, though he can be a bit hesitant at times. However, his high energy sometimes causes other dogs to leave him, as they probably can't match his playfulness or find him rude (?).
He’s not food motivated, and I’ve tried the game “find it,” but he doesn’t care. He understands basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, and leave it, but sometimes he just doesn't want to obey. He often gets so fixated on observing his surroundings and possibly checking out if there are other dogs that it takes a while for him to snap out of it.
When I ask him to heel, he comes back to me but observes what is behind me, so it’s really not a heel.
Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? What training techniques or strategies worked for you? I'm feeling pretty frustrated, I want to cry, and could use some guidance.

As for imaginations,
It can be very concrete and detailed. I do many imaginations and I enjoy them.
I imagine myself being a baby suddenly and doing all these cute things in front of mom.
Sometimes I imagine me being with my ex-girlfriend but somehow I'm now her puppy and taking a walk.
I tend to think it's because of my escapism. I tend to get stressed out more easily than others and I don't like hard work. (who does though)
Anyway, I just wondered if this would happen among other adults too.

So I (F27) and my husband (M32) have been together for a little over 5 years. In that 5 years I have worked with him and his dad about 3 times.
His dad fired me the first time I worked with them as "it just isn't working out". It wasn't working out because I didn't have anything to do and he was mad I just sat there even though I had done everything.
The second time I worked with them I quit. My husband became very difficult at work and home. He would also try to "relay" information to me that his dad told me. When I would ask questions, he would make up answers because his dad and his conversation didn't get that far. Example: he would tell me his dad wants me to look at food truck ideas. I would ask what kind of food truck is it that he wants, he would say hamburgers, I'd talk to his dad the next day and his dad would say he was only thinking about it and isn't ready to do research yet and that he does not want anything to with hamburgers.
This time I'm "working" with them and my job is basically to watch our 1 year old and keep track of job expenses. It's not a lot, but I manage. I was just informed that once my other children are out of school that I am not to come back because it is too hard for my husband and FIL to work due to them wanting to spend time with the baby.
It's not my fault that they can't prioritize. Not to mention they rarely do anything with the baby as they ARE working. My husband gets mad if I ask him for help or a diaper while he is in the office because he is "working". So now they are basically taking away my income to split between the both of them and have told me to stay home with the baby.
I have depression and a lot of it stems from being home consistently and feeling trapped. So we are losing $200 a week and the little adult interaction I get is going away too.
I am starting to wish I never had kids because I can't work or do anything because we can't afford daycare, the two older ones (they were kind of adopted) the dad rarely pays child support and their mom will never help with them as she's on drugs, the older ones also refuse to do basic chores, even when I'm working (full time/part time/any amount) the responsibility of the kids is solely on me, I have to constantly fight with my 3 kids dad because 2 of them are behind and he doesn't want to believe it, he's also trying to force me to home school them and I am no teach, and then the baby is 100% on me regardless of whether my husband is home. He wants to play his games or whatever. He refuses to get up with the baby in the morning and wants me to wake him uo for work and if I need help, but even when I do he WONT get up.
I'm at my wits end. I'm spiraling and holding on for dear life at this point. I'd never say this anywhere else. I hate I feel this way and just wish I could disappear. I'm burnt out.

Are there any good self serve car washes in the area with high pressure hoses? I got some mud on my truck while camping and don't want to go through a drive thru wash and get mud on their brushes.
The only ones I've seen are the two Big Bear Car Washes but they have terrible reviews on Google Maps

Hi. I’m just wondering if anyone here has had to have the operation via open. And if so, why?
When I had my pre op the nurse was saying the chances of me having open were high and she never explained why, even when I asked.
I’m so worried because I’ve had open surgery before to get my appendix out and it’s such a rough recovery so I’m quite nervous.
