- T10 torx bit
- T20 torx bit
- Hot air station with medium size nozzle (diameter of a cigarette)
- tweezers
- small flat head screwdriver to pry clips
- MG Chemicals 8341 No Clean Flux Paste
- 91% Isopropyl or higher
- Q-Tips
- Kapton Tape
- 1 - PD70224ILQ-TR Dual Mosfet Bridge Rectifier
- 6 - SMAJ60CA TVS Diodes
- Some way to zoom in on small objects (phone can work, or hobby light with magnifying glass)
- Small desk fan or way of moving fumes away from your face
- Thermal paste/grease . Anything non conductive will work fine. I used Arctic MX-4
- Would be nice to have a soldering iron just in case. A T12 soldering station with some fine tips off amazon would be ok.
- Multimeter for diode/short checking
- Power drivedrill with adjustable torque setting so you don't break anything
- Miscellaneous bits for drill/driver.

 | I'm roughing out the layout for my first build, and one of my primary functional requirements is for my two dogs to have a permanent comfortable place in the van both for while we are driving, and for sleeping. Could use some creative ideas on improving the solution I've come up with. submitted by queers4gears to VanLife [link] [comments] After a lot of thought I came to the conclusion that my bed is the most practical option — it's comfortable, doesn't take up any more floorspace, they'll have a great view, and I can easily add secure hooks to harness them in for when we are driving. The challenge with this option though is — how the heck do they get up there. The height of my bed at ~50" from the floor is non-negotiable as I'm setting it to be high enough for bike storage that doesn't require taking my wheels off. They need to be able to get up to the bed all on their own, and I don't want to have to set anything up for them to do so — it needs to be a permanent fixture. My initial thought was a ramp, but the angle would be way too steep. Stairs seems to work as it would be a 5.5" riser height and 9.8" depth, which should be very comfy for dogs their size (small/med terrier mixes). The cool thing about stairs is that it can double as storage — I could build-in all kinds of cubbies and drawers. Sharing some crude mockups for reference. As you can see I'm not doing a full-time living build out, this is mainly going to be my daily driver, and when I do camp it will be for weekends / week so I'll be treating it more like a mobile tent / office than an RV (no built in water, no built-in cooking). The little platform in between the dog stairs and passenger seats is a step-up for humans, which of course can also double as more storage. I joined this reddit group launch day, we have grown 80% in size you beautiful sloths and it's amazing to see it grow daily. We are smashing charts on all DEXs and growing CEX listings. We have a strong community on numerous socials and plenty of smarter members then me explaining charts and tokenomics, listen to them and stop fkn panicking everytime we drop a cent..
On launch eveyone was freaking out over not getting their coins in the first 20mins. I sat here posting "do not give your keys out to fake support pages" "follow solscan" "stop panicking" I doubt it helped, people are inclined to do whatever they will when they are panicking and such is the mainstream marketing campaign and minimal support of SLOTH so far. alot of begginers came over and freaked out over nothing or got rekt sending keys and making silly plays.
Ive been around a while and launched my own very very shit coins and I can tell you from Slothana's raise of 15-20mil presale it was always gonna take time to drop all those coins and their marketing budget alone was in the Mills. fkn wild af and proved it wasnt a scam to me instantly, the KYC to set up those ads made it way too balsey for them to rug and face penalties or online witch hunts from smarter coders then them. You couldn't go on any dex listing page without seeing a $SLOTH banner and once you looked at the basic ass website your google ads were flooded for the entirety of Easter.
All the 420 memes aside.. This is a fkn meme.. Of a Sloth.. With AI graphics.. Stoned and pushing to $4.20..
That's all it is.. I still think it's better then a dog with a fkn hat and the other thousand cat, shiba and frog variants.
If you want to gamble, cant play poker, want instant gratification in crypto and cant hold a coin for a month let alone a year. Fkn learn to bot, add another zero to your bag, trojan some whales and see where you end up. alot of massive whales are front-running $SLOTH right now. So you will end up where you started.

I have been engaged to a girl. We are having an arranged marriage.
I have met her and we often hang out to get to know each other. I am in full touch with her family aswell and her mother accompanies us too.
Now I feel awkward bringing this up to her but I really want her to wear an abaya whenever we are outside. And the reason is something I feel a bit ashamed discussing with her.
My fiancee is plus sized. I wasn't particularly happy with the fact when the proposal came due to her weight but after meeting her family and knowing her I am satisfied that she is the one for me and I am happy to spend my life with her because after knowing her, her appearance has become irrelevant to me. She would be a good wife.
However the issue with her being plus sized is how cloths fit on her. When we are outside I feel a bit uncomfortable with how obvious her backside is.
Now I don't mean to body shame her in anyway. But as a potential husband I don't like that anyone can make out the shape of her private area like that.
Its not her fault to be honest, it is just how it is due to her body shape, but I feel wearing an Abbaya will conceal her private area and protect her shame.
However more than strangers I want her to wear Abbaya to protect her from my eyes aswell. I am still na-mehram for her. But being a boy I will admit that secretly I like to stare. It is very tempting to look but it is also Haram. In the moment it is very exciting to look at her from such an angle but afterwards I feel guilt for acting shameless towards my own fiancee. So I want her to wear an Abbaya to protect from my eyes and naughty thoughts that come to my mind.

The night was bone-chillingly cold. The slightest whisper of a breeze nipped at my exposed ears and drafted unpleasantly within my overly large winter coat. The black, barren trees stood unmoving like sentinels bearing ominously down upon either side of the sleet-slick street, which was lit only by dim street lamps that, other than creating a dull yellow reflection on the otherwise unlit pavement, seemed to do nothing against the oppressing dark of this fateful December night.
I had passed through a wrought iron gate twenty minutes before, the gate that separated a cozy subdivision from this eerie, undeveloped stretch of road that seemed to be dropped in the middle of the forest. I could think only of my warm, lively hearth and a nice, hot cup of tea between my palms, which now, instead of being pressed against warm porcelain, were being stabbed by my untrimmed fingernails as I tightened my fist onto the leash and plunged the other still deeper into my coat.
This night was the culmination of weeks of investigation on a missing person’s case turned sour. A man named Arthur Smith had reported his four daughters missing, then hung himself three days later when we couldn’t find anything. Oddly, Arthur’s body went missing from the morgue shortly after. The only trace left was an incredible amount of flies, and we were displeased to see that every drawer was leaking a mixture of blood and embalming fluid because the refrigerant pipes burst. When we opened them up, the neck of every corpse had been slit.
Eventually, through good detective work, we were able to connect some dots, and that led us to where we were now: We were now on a manhunt for a suspect that was last seen at a gas station about a mile up the road, not two hours earlier. We checked a network of cameras to see that he had headed for the woods, grabbed the hounds, and here we were.
My colleagues and I were spread around in different parts of the forest with the police force’s seven bloodhounds. I got stuck with Old Ben, the force’s droopiest and most seasoned canine. He was partially blind and notorious for not obeying commands. He didn’t even respond to a dog whistle, which was why some of my colleagues thought his hearing was shot. I doubted this theory, though, because sure enough, when somebody whispered the word “biscuit,” Old Benny perked up and started wagging his tail.
Another ten minutes found Old Benny and I at the end of the once seemingly endless street, with the streetlamps and pavement stopping abruptly at the edge of the woods, which had not entirely swallowed up a bulldozer. Old Ben stopped and sniffed the air for a moment, then plunged down a path in the woods to our right. It was a dirt path, not two feet wide, overgrown and partially washed out, making it an unpleasant and muddy journey from here on out.

My flashlight was now the only source of light illuminating our way. Its beam slid over roots and rocks that jutted out of the path at odd angles and briefly swept over the nearest trees, bringing them out of the shadow for a moment. I felt claustrophobic as they bore down upon me and upon the path. The only sound was my deep breathing, my sloppy footsteps, and Benny’s blundering in the mud about ten feet in front of me.
The path turned in such a way that I could see faint moonlight up ahead, but a cloud soon covered the moon and removed the slight comfort its light had provided. I continued following the curve of the path, and pointed my flashlight up ahead. Suddenly, everything was pitch black, as my flashlight had just gone out without a flicker. I was especially annoyed because firstly, I had just replaced the batteries earlier that week, and secondly, I caught a glimpse of the dark outline of what seemed to be a small cottage up ahead, which was now invisible in the darkness.
To my surprise, Benny stopped as soon as the light went out, which made it easy for me to replace the batteries with the ones that I always carried around in my service belt. To my dismay, Benny did not continue walking when the light flickered back on, even when I started tugging on his leash. He simply sat in the mud and peered at the cottage in the distance, which I knew for a fact he couldn’t see. The cottage was incredibly run down, but I couldn’t see much more, as it was just at the edge of my flashlight beam.
I began feeling uneasy when Benny started whimpering and backing away, tail between his legs. Our dogs were trained to bark when they found something, not stand still, and certainly not whine and back away. Old Ben had never been a skittish animal; I had never seen him act like this before. I peered back at the cottage, suspecting something more sinister than I was originally prepared for.
I tied Benny loosely around a nearby tree, so he could pull away if need be, pulled out my handgun, and continued on. Not fifteen seconds later, I was hit with the smell of blood and wet dog, and heard whimpering to my left. I told Benny to stay, and turned to find him where I left him, about twenty yards behind me, looking at me like I was insane. I bent down and examined the source of the noise, only to find one of our bloodhounds laying just off the path and covered in a mixture of mud and its own blood. It was missing its hind legs and was shivering badly. I cursed and dispatched it with a quick slit with my utility knife, then unclipped its collar and stuffed it into my pocket before turning away. I did not want to alert the suspect of my position. I grew worried about the location of my colleagues, as our dogs were trained not to run off. I also wondered what kind of predator would have taken only the hind legs of an animal. I tried not to think about it as I continued on.
As the cottage grew nearer, I was able to make out a few broken windows reflecting my light back at me. Through these I was able to see that the inside of the cottage was pitch black, the darkest black I had ever seen. I walked closer still, and I couldn’t stop looking into the darkness of the cottage. The darkness was so potent it seemed to be spilling over the window sill into the crisp night air. I felt consumed. My heart began pounding within my chest, and I felt colder than ever as I stepped toward the gravel path that led around to the left of the cottage. The sudden change in surface and the sound of my feet crunching upon the gravel seemed to break my trance, and I shuddered.
I didn’t know why I had felt so trapped, and I didn’t like it. Something was definitely wrong with this situation, and my feelings of dread intensified as I followed the gravel path around to the front of the cottage.
A dripping noise interrupted my thoughts and temporarily washed the dread from my mind. I paused. I determined it was coming from the direction I was headed, but I couldn’t see the front door yet as the porch was draped with ivy. I was suddenly hit with the putrid smell I knew all too well: the smell of death. It hit my nostrils like a truck and returned my feelings of dread all at once. I shined my beam to the front steps.
There was a dark, red liquid trickling gently down the steps, pooling under the porch: blood. I looked up onto the front porch, now visible, and saw the torso of a man hanging from his neck about three feet away from the front door. His legs were nowhere to be seen, though there was a blood trail leading into the house, and his glistening entrails swayed sickeningly with the light breeze. Blood was pooling below him, trickling down the steps, and down through the cracks in the porch. It had begun coagulating, and dark swirling orbs rotated in the puddle each time a drop splashed down. I looked up again at the carcass and recognized the man as our suspect. There was frost beginning to form at the edges of his mouth and over his glassy eyes, but his exposed entrails were still steaming. Furthermore, the blood dripping from his wound was still deep red in color. The back of my neck prickled and I knew this man had not been hanging for very long. No, not very long at all.
I raised my pistol and nudged the front door open. I was again hit with the smell of death, though now much stronger, so strong I could scarcely draw breath. The inside of the cottage was unbelievably dank, and the darkness seemed to eat the quivering beam of light I pointed out in front of me, so I couldn’t see ten feet forward.
I heard a sharp crack and I bolted my gaze to my feet. I had just stepped on a human rib. Suddenly the cottage came alive with creaking and shuffling. I heard flies buzzing all around me. I heard a raspy rushing noise to my right. I shined my flashlight to where I thought the noise was coming from, but all I saw was a bloodstained floor and darkness out in front of me. I took a step toward the noise, and the beam of light revealed the glistening mangled corpse of a man, missing most of his skin, hunched in the corner of the cottage. His whole torso was heaving, and I saw the rushing noise was coming from the base of his throat, where a large gash was opening and closing with every breath, spraying flecks of fluid. Maggots wriggled out of his wound, and black purge fluid trickled from his soupy eye sockets, his missing nose, and his gaping mouth. He was missing most of his teeth, and one of his cheeks was rotted through.
I was frozen in place with fear, until, to my horror, the man’s mangled arm rose and reached out to me. At this I aimed and put a bullet through his partially exposed skull, splattering a putrid mist on the wall behind him. Instead of slumping over, as I prayed he would, the man slowly levitated into an upright position as though controlled by a puppeteer. Skin began regrowing around his legs, his torso, and eventually his skull, which sprouted two bloody horns out of his forehead. This being had the likeness of Arthur Smith, though I sensed it was no longer him. I placed two rounds into his torso, and the being staggered, but the bullet wounds simply closed with sickening squelching sounds. I backed away slowly, and he simply stood in the corner and leered at me with burning black eyes and a disconcerting grin.
I continued to back away slowly, placing one more round between his eyes. His head jerked back, but still it healed and he seemed unbothered. I bolted around and headed for the door. I jerked the handle but it wouldn't budge. I tried kicking it down, which was something I was very practiced at, but still, the rotten oak planks held fast against my will. I turned around, back against the door, firearm at the ready, and stared into the blackness. Everything was quiet once again. Despite the temperature, cold sweat beaded upon my brow and dribbled down my neck.
Suddenly I felt a rumbling that seemed to come from the very depths of the Earth. A splitting and splintering sound came from what I presumed was the center of the cottage, and I was soon showered with bits of wood and stone that nicked my exposed skin and drew droplets of blood. I noticed my back was no longer pressed against the back of the door, though I was not moving. The floor seemed to be carrying me slowly in the direction of the noise. I was frozen in place, and found that I could not change my trajectory.
My flashlight beam found the edge of a large hole in the floor. I saw dark, root-like tendrils sprout from the hole and rush across the floor with the sound of scraping and splintering. They then returned to the hole, and they had within their grasp six bare human bodies, which I horrifically realized were those of my now former colleagues. I watched in horror as their pale naked bodies were folded, torn, ripped, and broken in the churning earth. The sound of tearing flesh and cracking bone was deafening and filled the darkness of the cottage. The mass of mangled flesh formed into one chunky, glistening mound in the center of the hole. It began pulsing and rising, and horrible screams rang in my ears. I watched in horror as the mass formed a humanoid figure that rose up ten feet out of the hole and bent over against the ceiling. It was facing away from me, but its raspy voice seemed to mix seamlessly with the screams directly in my ears.

At this it let out a booming laugh that reverberated in my skull and shook the foundation of the building. The cottage once again came alive, but now more than ever before. Shutters were opening and closing, floorboards were rattling, flies swarmed in a huge mass around and around the room, blocking the beam of my flashlight and obscuring my view of the figure. I felt my legs quiver along with the rest of the cottage. I looked down at a red book with its pages fluttering in the still air. I dove for it and slammed it shut, and the cottage grew still. I paused for a moment, but the giant figure began turning towards me. I bolted around to see that the door was now open, but the hung corpse was clinging to the top of the door frame, now very much alive. Its entrails were still swinging freely from its short leap, and the rope lay severed and frayed upon the ground.
I paced towards the door, dumping the rest of my magazine into the corpse, which to my relief fell to the ground with a squelch. I hopped over the body and sprinted out the front door, away from the cottage, down the dirt path. I could still hear the screams of the damned faintly in the distance, and the earth began rumbling once again underneath my feet. I continued running back along the path, trying not to think about what I had witnessed. I paused for a moment to catch my breath, and shivered in the now relentless sleet.
The pounding of the earth became the distant rumble of thunder in the distance. By the time I had gotten back to the paved road, I was soaked to the bone in cold sweat and freezing rain, and I was covered up to my thighs in mud from the path. My coat was snagged and torn in places from the splinters of wood and from branches along the path.
When I finally got back to my car, I saw a leash leading underneath it, and found Old Ben, crouched below, tail between his legs. I scooped him up and plopped him in the passenger seat, entirely disregarding the former cleanliness of my car, as it was now covered in mud and dog hair. Other guys went back to where I was and failed to find the path, but they did find the dismembered bodies of my colleagues hidden under the bulldozer at the end of the street. The worst part is my occasional perception of a distant rumbling, and during thunderstorms I’m a whimpering mess.
I have been disciplined three times for writing symbols on the walls that I can’t get out of my head. I draw them in my blood so they stand out more and resemble what I see. I have found that once they are on the wall, they stay out of my head. Unfortunately, I haven’t finished writing them all out yet. The first time I started I got really close to finishing, but then I found myself strapped to a hospital bed.
The worst part of my new existence is the nightmares. I am plagued by images of my former colleagues: their pale dismembered bodies, the sound of cracking bone, their blood on my hands, their shrieks of pain, and the taste of flesh.

I had passed through a wrought iron gate twenty minutes before, the gate that separated a cozy subdivision from this eerie, undeveloped stretch of road that seemed to be dropped in the middle of the forest. I could think only of my warm, lively hearth and a nice, hot cup of tea between my palms, which now, instead of being pressed against warm porcelain, were being stabbed by my untrimmed fingernails as I tightened my fist onto the leash and plunged the other still deeper into my coat.
This night was the culmination of weeks of investigation on a missing person’s case turned sour. A man named Arthur Smith had reported his four daughters missing, then hung himself three days later when we couldn’t find anything. Oddly, Arthur’s body went missing from the morgue shortly after. The only trace left was an incredible amount of flies, and we were displeased to see that every drawer was leaking a mixture of blood and embalming fluid because the refrigerant pipes burst. When we opened them up, the neck of every corpse had been slit.
Eventually, through good detective work, we were able to connect some dots, and that led us to where we were now: We were now on a manhunt for a suspect that was last seen at a gas station about a mile up the road, not two hours earlier. We checked a network of cameras to see that he had headed for the woods, grabbed the hounds, and here we were.
My colleagues and I were spread around in different parts of the forest with the police force’s seven bloodhounds. I got stuck with Old Ben, the force’s droopiest and most seasoned canine. He was partially blind and notorious for not obeying commands. He didn’t even respond to a dog whistle, which was why some of my colleagues thought his hearing was shot. I doubted this theory, though, because sure enough, when somebody whispered the word “biscuit,” Old Benny perked up and started wagging his tail.
Another ten minutes found Old Benny and I at the end of the once seemingly endless street, with the streetlamps and pavement stopping abruptly at the edge of the woods, which had not entirely swallowed up a bulldozer. Old Ben stopped and sniffed the air for a moment, then plunged down a path in the woods to our right. It was a dirt path, not two feet wide, overgrown and partially washed out, making it an unpleasant and muddy journey from here on out.

My flashlight was now the only source of light illuminating our way. Its beam slid over roots and rocks that jutted out of the path at odd angles and briefly swept over the nearest trees, bringing them out of the shadow for a moment. I felt claustrophobic as they bore down upon me and upon the path. The only sound was my deep breathing, my sloppy footsteps, and Benny’s blundering in the mud about ten feet in front of me.
The path turned in such a way that I could see faint moonlight up ahead, but a cloud soon covered the moon and removed the slight comfort its light had provided. I continued following the curve of the path, and pointed my flashlight up ahead. Suddenly, everything was pitch black, as my flashlight had just gone out without a flicker. I was especially annoyed because firstly, I had just replaced the batteries earlier that week, and secondly, I caught a glimpse of the dark outline of what seemed to be a small cottage up ahead, which was now invisible in the darkness.
To my surprise, Benny stopped as soon as the light went out, which made it easy for me to replace the batteries with the ones that I always carried around in my service belt. To my dismay, Benny did not continue walking when the light flickered back on, even when I started tugging on his leash. He simply sat in the mud and peered at the cottage in the distance, which I knew for a fact he couldn’t see. The cottage was incredibly run down, but I couldn’t see much more, as it was just at the edge of my flashlight beam.
I began feeling uneasy when Benny started whimpering and backing away, tail between his legs. Our dogs were trained to bark when they found something, not stand still, and certainly not whine and back away. Old Ben had never been a skittish animal; I had never seen him act like this before. I peered back at the cottage, suspecting something more sinister than I was originally prepared for.
I tied Benny loosely around a nearby tree, so he could pull away if need be, pulled out my handgun, and continued on. Not fifteen seconds later, I was hit with the smell of blood and wet dog, and heard whimpering to my left. I told Benny to stay, and turned to find him where I left him, about twenty yards behind me, looking at me like I was insane. I bent down and examined the source of the noise, only to find one of our bloodhounds laying just off the path and covered in a mixture of mud and its own blood. It was missing its hind legs and was shivering badly. I cursed and dispatched it with a quick slit with my utility knife, then unclipped its collar and stuffed it into my pocket before turning away. I did not want to alert the suspect of my position. I grew worried about the location of my colleagues, as our dogs were trained not to run off. I also wondered what kind of predator would have taken only the hind legs of an animal. I tried not to think about it as I continued on.
As the cottage grew nearer, I was able to make out a few broken windows reflecting my light back at me. Through these I was able to see that the inside of the cottage was pitch black, the darkest black I had ever seen. I walked closer still, and I couldn’t stop looking into the darkness of the cottage. The darkness was so potent it seemed to be spilling over the window sill into the crisp night air. I felt consumed. My heart began pounding within my chest, and I felt colder than ever as I stepped toward the gravel path that led around to the left of the cottage. The sudden change in surface and the sound of my feet crunching upon the gravel seemed to break my trance, and I shuddered.
I didn’t know why I had felt so trapped, and I didn’t like it. Something was definitely wrong with this situation, and my feelings of dread intensified as I followed the gravel path around to the front of the cottage.
A dripping noise interrupted my thoughts and temporarily washed the dread from my mind. I paused. I determined it was coming from the direction I was headed, but I couldn’t see the front door yet as the porch was draped with ivy. I was suddenly hit with the putrid smell I knew all too well: the smell of death. It hit my nostrils like a truck and returned my feelings of dread all at once. I shined my beam to the front steps.
There was a dark, red liquid trickling gently down the steps, pooling under the porch: blood. I looked up onto the front porch, now visible, and saw the torso of a man hanging from his neck about three feet away from the front door. His legs were nowhere to be seen, though there was a blood trail leading into the house, and his glistening entrails swayed sickeningly with the light breeze. Blood was pooling below him, trickling down the steps, and down through the cracks in the porch. It had begun coagulating, and dark swirling orbs rotated in the puddle each time a drop splashed down. I looked up again at the carcass and recognized the man as our suspect. There was frost beginning to form at the edges of his mouth and over his glassy eyes, but his exposed entrails were still steaming. Furthermore, the blood dripping from his wound was still deep red in color. The back of my neck prickled and I knew this man had not been hanging for very long. No, not very long at all.
I raised my pistol and nudged the front door open. I was again hit with the smell of death, though now much stronger, so strong I could scarcely draw breath. The inside of the cottage was unbelievably dank, and the darkness seemed to eat the quivering beam of light I pointed out in front of me, so I couldn’t see ten feet forward.
I heard a sharp crack and I bolted my gaze to my feet. I had just stepped on a human rib. Suddenly the cottage came alive with creaking and shuffling. I heard flies buzzing all around me. I heard a raspy rushing noise to my right. I shined my flashlight to where I thought the noise was coming from, but all I saw was a bloodstained floor and darkness out in front of me. I took a step toward the noise, and the beam of light revealed the glistening mangled corpse of a man, missing most of his skin, hunched in the corner of the cottage. His whole torso was heaving, and I saw the rushing noise was coming from the base of his throat, where a large gash was opening and closing with every breath, spraying flecks of fluid. Maggots wriggled out of his wound, and black purge fluid trickled from his soupy eye sockets, his missing nose, and his gaping mouth. He was missing most of his teeth, and one of his cheeks was rotted through.
I was frozen in place with fear, until, to my horror, the man’s mangled arm rose and reached out to me. At this I aimed and put a bullet through his partially exposed skull, splattering a putrid mist on the wall behind him. Instead of slumping over, as I prayed he would, the man slowly levitated into an upright position as though controlled by a puppeteer. Skin began regrowing around his legs, his torso, and eventually his skull, which sprouted two bloody horns out of his forehead. This being had the likeness of Arthur Smith, though I sensed it was no longer him. I placed two rounds into his torso, and the being staggered, but the bullet wounds simply closed with sickening squelching sounds. I backed away slowly, and he simply stood in the corner and leered at me with burning black eyes and a disconcerting grin.
I continued to back away slowly, placing one more round between his eyes. His head jerked back, but still it healed and he seemed unbothered. I bolted around and headed for the door. I jerked the handle but it wouldn't budge. I tried kicking it down, which was something I was very practiced at, but still, the rotten oak planks held fast against my will. I turned around, back against the door, firearm at the ready, and stared into the blackness. Everything was quiet once again. Despite the temperature, cold sweat beaded upon my brow and dribbled down my neck.
Suddenly I felt a rumbling that seemed to come from the very depths of the Earth. A splitting and splintering sound came from what I presumed was the center of the cottage, and I was soon showered with bits of wood and stone that nicked my exposed skin and drew droplets of blood. I noticed my back was no longer pressed against the back of the door, though I was not moving. The floor seemed to be carrying me slowly in the direction of the noise. I was frozen in place, and found that I could not change my trajectory.
My flashlight beam found the edge of a large hole in the floor. I saw dark, root-like tendrils sprout from the hole and rush across the floor with the sound of scraping and splintering. They then returned to the hole, and they had within their grasp six bare human bodies, which I horrifically realized were those of my now former colleagues. I watched in horror as their pale naked bodies were folded, torn, ripped, and broken in the churning earth. The sound of tearing flesh and cracking bone was deafening and filled the darkness of the cottage. The mass of mangled flesh formed into one chunky, glistening mound in the center of the hole. It began pulsing and rising, and horrible screams rang in my ears. I watched in horror as the mass formed a humanoid figure that rose up ten feet out of the hole and bent over against the ceiling. It was facing away from me, but its raspy voice seemed to mix seamlessly with the screams directly in my ears.

At this it let out a booming laugh that reverberated in my skull and shook the foundation of the building. The cottage once again came alive, but now more than ever before. Shutters were opening and closing, floorboards were rattling, flies swarmed in a huge mass around and around the room, blocking the beam of my flashlight and obscuring my view of the figure. I felt my legs quiver along with the rest of the cottage. I looked down at a red book with its pages fluttering in the still air. I dove for it and slammed it shut, and the cottage grew still. I paused for a moment, but the giant figure began turning towards me. I bolted around to see that the door was now open, but the hung corpse was clinging to the top of the door frame, now very much alive. Its entrails were still swinging freely from its short leap, and the rope lay severed and frayed upon the ground.
I paced towards the door, dumping the rest of my magazine into the corpse, which to my relief fell to the ground with a squelch. I hopped over the body and sprinted out the front door, away from the cottage, down the dirt path. I could still hear the screams of the damned faintly in the distance, and the earth began rumbling once again underneath my feet. I continued running back along the path, trying not to think about what I had witnessed. I paused for a moment to catch my breath, and shivered in the now relentless sleet.
The pounding of the earth became the distant rumble of thunder in the distance. By the time I had gotten back to the paved road, I was soaked to the bone in cold sweat and freezing rain, and I was covered up to my thighs in mud from the path. My coat was snagged and torn in places from the splinters of wood and from branches along the path.
When I finally got back to my car, I saw a leash leading underneath it, and found Old Ben, crouched below, tail between his legs. I scooped him up and plopped him in the passenger seat, entirely disregarding the former cleanliness of my car, as it was now covered in mud and dog hair. My name is Tadhg, though you might know me as Ser Sky ‘the Blacktower.’ This is my first dev diary with the CK3AGOT team!I am from Australia and I joined the CK3AGOT team in April of this year as a developer. My work so far has involved a variety of projects, including dragons, this overhaul, general bug fixes, and player-submitted tickets. Today, I’m excited to share some significant updates focused on the Shattered World feature. This is a special midweek edition of our dev diary, but don’t worry - our regular Sunday dev diary will still be released on schedule this week! About Shattered WorldShattered World is an existing gamerule in our mod provides players with several options to start with a highly fragmented world landscape. The current options are:
Issues with the Current State of Shattered World1. Kingdom Titles: The number of counties required to form a Kingdom title was too high. For instance, The Reach required 88 county titles, leading to the AI and players opting for the Custom Kingdom decision, which only needs 30 counties. This made it difficult for the AI to form meaningful kingdom titles.Current requirements to form the Kingdom of the Reach. Decision: Form a Custom Kingdom 2. Duchy Formation Rules: The current rule set required holding the Duchy capital directly to form the Duchy title. As the AI desired to remain under the domain limit it would give potential second duchy capital counties away to a vassal in order to do this. The AI could form its first Duchy but then struggled to form additional Duchies, impeding Kingdom formation unless a second Duchy title was inherited somehow. 3. Empire and Kingdom Titles: Post the Iron Throne’s collapse, empire and kingdom titles had the same de-jure lands, creating a cycle where gameplay skipped the Kingdom title level entirely, going from County to Duchy to Empire. The old de-jure kingdoms map Project EvolutionThe initial version of this update looked at shattering each kingdom into two parts. However, this approach was not effective. For example this saw the Westerlands split into North and South Westerlands and while this began to address some of the issues, it brought a range of new issues that we had to address.Some examples of these issues include a lack of meaningful gameplay (the Kingdom of the Northern Westerlands just doesn’t have the same feel as the Kingdom of Castamere or the Kingdom of the Banefort) as well as balance issues, as some kingdom titles were just significantly larger than other ones. We played around with several variations of this update as a result. It became clear that we needed a focus and philosophy to guide the direction of this update. Design PhilosophyAs a team we came up with some key guiding principles for this update, which came to form the design philosophy outlined below.

^ I'm testing out a little different strategy here taking a crack at premium trading the index directly. We have a decent catalyst coming up in the NVDA earnings so it may move the market a bit. And I was interested in seeing if a two standard deviation move in the underlying could snag me some cheap premium profit after earnings on NVDA. Will keep this updated as it nears expiry.
• MMAT shares (402 @ $3.60 in, stopped at $3.475 ; -$50, closed position)
^ This was the first shares trade I was trying in a bit. Showed up on my scanner and I took a stab at it. Frustratingly I had a take profit order set at $4.00, and the stock top ticked at $3.97 (check it at 11:11AM EST) then dropped to my stop loss. Only a $50 loss but with only 3 day trades allowed before stopping to allow the PDT reset, it was pretty annoying to say the least.
• GME $19.5 put, May 24 expiry (+$97, open diagonal)
• GME $17 put, May 24 expiry (+$23, open diagonal)
^ these are the open positions pegged against the $20 and $15 long puts I had opened for the Jun 21 expiry. Will update these at the end of the week
• TGT 139/140 put ; 175/177.5 call iron condor x1 contract each (+$33 credit on max risk $250)
^ really not the happiest about this risk to reward here. But these were the 10% delta plays for the day right before earnings release. Target just announced major price drops, and shopping in their stores recently is becoming a chore. It's pretty sad actually to see how bad it's gotten, just the experience of shopping at a Target. I'm hoping that at least caps my risk at the put side which would only be $100 but we'll have to see as the week goes on.
• WSM 260/270 put vertical spread x1 contract (+$100 credit on $1000 risk)
^ running out of earnings plays here but Williams Sonoma came up and decided to play the down side. Was going to iron condor this, but was hit with an insufficient funds warning because of the risk size. Going to have to just play the one side of this one.

Housekeeping
- Yesterday was a sick day so I wasn't able to do any trading unfortunately until the very late afternoon I grabbed 5 contracts of FFIE $0.5 puts on the Jun 21 expiry. I'm attempting to take advantage of this stint of small cap rallies eventually fizzling out.
- Shifting a little, I'm considering adding an occassional shares based day trade. Since I don't have a 25k trading account anymore at the moment, I don't want to bring on this type of issue so I won't be doing this all the time but I set up a gap up scanner to screen out some cheap small to mid cap stocks that move on news or earnings to play quickly intraday.
- Made some moves in the Investment Account, using a large chunk of the cash position there to get some high yield divi / income generators and add more to the ETF funds. Still looking to park some extra cash into the individuals, just trying to decide which ones. Looking forward to sharing that account update on Friday.

Just got my first fitting, getting the Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metals, they were the ones I could hit the best but it seems like the Lofts are very different than other brands.
What is the rationale behind this? How do loft angles affect distance/easy to hit. what are the pros and cons of different lofts on the same irons? for example 7 iron loft 28.5 vs 31, or PW 42.5 loft vs PW 45?
It felt quite easy to hit the 7 iron with the Mizunos lofted at 28.5, my previous 7 iron is about 31 and it didnt go as far and it did not feel "easier" to hit.
Take into account I am new and I suck at golf, so I am not consistent enough to really understand what is happening, anyone care to enlighten me?

 | It's a slow, but powerful truck, narrow enough to fit between trees when attempting sketchy shortcuts. The first Azov ever to get a 3-slot bed+crane+trailer combo, this beast also has a unique (body-colored!) maintainer addon, capable of fitting 2500 liters of fuel and 300 repairs with 4 spare wheels. So, first role for it is a refuel truck. This one has joined my "Dirty Good Boys" fleet, where it replaced Azov 73210. Then I began testing it with medium logs in Maine. It struggled more, Maine is a hard region, but still I'm impressed with the 67096's performance. Way better than Aramatsu Forester and its lack of power. Loading medium logs Climbing river rapids against the current. Winching was required. Yes, it fell again. No, this time too it's not the truck's fault - the road was too angled (like 30 degrees to the left) and I thought it will be possible to cross it with careful winching to the right. It was not. A shoutout to the DAN of the "Saviors" rescue fleet. It climbed the hill like it's nothing in a place I didn't think it was possible. TIL a new shortcut in Maine... yes, after having 2700 hours played, this game continues to surprise me. DAN is the rescue man The route to the fallen Atom (red circle) All in all, the truck feels really powerful. I try to keep the mod as close to vanilla as possible, so it won't be too OP. It managed to climb this very steep hill here, on the Yellowrock map, near the "Dirt, Ice and Delivery" task without winching, while loaded with double medium logs and a trailer. The Forester failed me here. (Note to self: low range couldn't do it, but switching to Auto helped. I have motor issues / hand problems when I write, so I need a very fat pen. The only pen I've found that helps me write without pain is the Pilot Frixion Multi-pen 4, bc it's lightweight, very thick (12.3mm grip), with just enough grippiness, and no "ergonomic" corrective posture features. It's basically just a big cylinder with some rubber on it.
The trouble is I'll chew through two of the tiny black multipen refills in a day if I do a lot of writing (which, ironically, i can only do because I found this pen.) I need a new gel pen that holds way more ink in a very similar form factor.
I've tried Dr Grip, but the curvy shape of the pen causes me to death grip the pen again -- pain. I've tried the new Uniball One P, which seemed like it would be the magic bullet, but it's so short and smooth, which causes my hand to slip toward the tip as I write -- more pain, and ink smudges.
I prefer Frixion eraseable ink, especially the new zone 2 ink which comes in a G2 refill format. I'm getting desperate and really tired of buying 20 packs of multipen refills though, so I'm open to other options. Gel is a must because the wetness/smoothness of the ink contributes to helping my hand issues.
I've tried fountain pens before but my wonky pen grip made it difficult to get the correct angle on the nib, plus they were heavy, and messy, at least from what I remember. I'm not an expert though so maybe I was doing something wrong.

 | After the Merger from LQDFx to Plexy trade, we made 2 mistakes, one of which could have blown the account. Luckily we caught it before it got out of hand. submitted by r3ditr3d3r to TheRaceTo10Million [link] [comments] Accidentally, left several charts on the 4hr time scale which gave the EA a much more limited scope in which to make trades. Not a huge deal, just slowed potential profitability. More critically, money management was set to true in the EA settings. This was a configuration mistake we didn't catch during the Merger. Which meant each chart was running extremely hot. When true the EA sees the account balance and enters trades based on that. So 15 charts all thought they had 56k to work with and entered trades accordingly.It was entering trades at like .01 lot to every $500 dollars of account value. This could have blown the account. The US made an announcement about inflation and interest rates which caused a huge run up on the dollar pairs. Simultaneously we discovered and corrected our error mid week. We then were left with a very large drawdown. So we'll probably carry this drawdown for a considerable amount of time and will cause some discomfort. When it comes down eventually we'll make up the profits since we made the trades at higher lot sizes, even though it was inadvertent. We'll have to taylor the pairs global profit settings on the specific charts that entered draw downs to take advantage of the higher lot sizing until it settles. A little annoyed at myself but thankfully we're still in the game. Going to be a slow few months I think. |

CS team is fully remote but many other employees outside CS are being called back to office.Company seems bleeding, current ratios are getting red.stock chart is a descending ladder since going public after being private, which it was forced to do after mega restructurinh. Originally public in the 00s then went private then public now, layoffs are part of the culture.there are Hundreds of long term employees with decades of tenure.they have also started outsourcing their key service overseas.Upcoming department change, CS teams are getting assigned less accounts, one group will be converted from dedicated enterprise to pooled/low touch CSM approach by Q3. Also rolling out a new automated client success software. Company is putting out fires and new peoducts continiously, has an established and solid brand but has attracted lots of legal battles that claimed it is fraudulent.I cant shrug the feeling our CS team will get laid off given more than half are assigned to low revenue or non performing account segments after a new GTM was designed but not yet launched. There are many others doing my job, im not a leader, and career progression is a question mark, possibly lateral but not leadership unless a major overhaul happens.when a VP position opened, they claimed hundreds applied, and more than a dozen were internal.they hired external and promoted 2 to supervisory roles but doing so added reporting layer to 20 other individual contributors who prebiously reported to a vp and now just reporting to a director.
Prospective company: old brands plus new IT niche products, private equity backed, kinda dropped hints that salary is a bit lower than my current range though the advertised wage is within my target. Given the hints they might get to match or even up the nasic salary but may not even come close to my current ote.as per linkedin people are mostly recent hires 3 years or less, company is undergoing rebranding and trying to get second or third wind, fully remote.their brands are old so they are fighting to be more modern, competitive and relevant, something I had multiple experience with from my previous companies which digitized, cloud migrated and converted evergreen to subscription based offerings. prospective companu is backed up by private equity,so have no sales or revenue figures to review. i have no idea what happens if they suddenly get dropped or sold.
with all the lay offs going im worried that if I am new in any org i get more proned to get laid off, but i really love the role described, and i have this gut feel i will enjoy the challenge whereas my current role in my present job is day by day diminishing our client success value,by no longer doing dedicated CS engagements as we move to low touch.
No one seems safe from possible lay offs, what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Current company: dinausaur- old,very old;public;global in reach;triple to quadruple size of the prospective new company.high pay, great OTE good benefits. i didnt get any salary adjustment this year because 1)group retention number is not high enough 2)new manager says im already on the highest peak of my salary grade.
New manager is too early to assess, ex colleague who got promoted.previous manager is almost 20 years in company, she was the one who hired most of the team members, she left suddenly.the ex boss, her boss and the VP lead of the entire Customer success org, 3 levels up basically left in the past 18 months.all these VPs have worked more than 15 years in the company.
All new leaders from execs all less than 2 years in role- CRO, Ops Vp and CS leader, seem good, but has repeated history of trimming the fat of any org they take over, internally or where they used to work.Earnings show company is negative p&l for 4 or 5 quarters now, high opex mainly due to high cogs which is mainly sales salaries because we are technically like SAAS.growth is less than 4pc annually.
