Questions about safety while cleaning a crt tv
Hello guys,
I'm getting my very first CRT TV tomorrow. I plan to open it up and clean it with a compressed air blow gun and maybe a brush. But I'm pretty scared and have a few questions about safety.
First a few questions about my discharge tool:
  1. I used an old extension cable. There where 3 wires inside, but I only used the brown one. Inside the brown wire there are multiple thin copper wires. Is it safe to use this cable or should I use one with a single thick copper wire inside?
  2. I saw that most people use a flathead screwdriver, but I thought it would be better to use this one with a round tip, so I don't scratch anything. This should work just as fine, right?
A few other safety questions:
  1. What exactly is the use of discharging the anode? Because I heard that even after discharging the anode, there are still parts left that could kill me. Which parts are safe to touch after discharging the anode and which parts are still dangerous?
  2. Do I really need to leave the tv unplugged for 24 hours before I work on it? I mean I'm still discharging the anode so what is the use of waiting?
  3. My compressed air blow gun is out of metal. Is it safe to use?
Thanks for your help and please don't let me die (ꏿ﹏ꏿ;)

2024.05.21 15:19 monsieurLeMeowMeow How do I help my elderly father file a va claim.

My father served in the army in the early 60s and he got the toenail infection that makes them thick, yellow and brittle. He’s been out since 1964 and doesn’t know where his discharge papers are. Does anyone know what we need to file a claim?

2024.05.21 15:08 empathic_potato [recommendation] some bras mostly fit! looking for new options to try

Bought some bras, and some mostly fit, and some don’t fit. I ordered some bras in a 28" band and others in a 30" to compare (also ordered what I could just based on what was available at the time).
Looking for some recommendations on what to try next and ideas on what sizes to order if possible. I prefer a seamed cup but preferably something that doesn’t have really thick/strong seams that would show drastically under lighter fabrics this summer. Thank you in advance for the advice.

2024.05.21 14:09 AdditionalEstate1103 Walker / mulch mower suggestions

Hello I am looking for a 52 or 54" mower for my property and a few neighbors I do. That size deck seems to be the sweet spot.
My lawn is very thick and grows fast, much faster than all of my neighbors. I try my best to not mow more than a third but between mother nature and my schedule, it doesn't always happen. I never mow when wet, but I find that there is quite a bit of moisture end of day even a few days after rain. So occasionally the lawn is 8 or 9 inches. So then I try to mow at 5 or 5.5" and then again drop down a few days later I typically like to keep it at 4-4.5" Bluegrass and tall fescue.
I prefer to mulch the grass and also prefer to mulch the leaves
A few options I have tried that are ruled out:
Walker GHS or bagging in general is out I prefer to put the nutrients on the lawn as I don't irrigate and it consumes too much time to bag.
Side discharge with a chute block could be an option
I have demoed the walker B and H models The B27i mulch deck mulches the leaves great and the grass when its not too tall, but bogs down and clogs up even when creeping at snail pace while mowing and taking twice as long
The H38 is a bit larger, almost borderline too large, but more power and rear discharge to handle the taller grass. As the rear discharge is not Mulching, I am concerned it may not grind the leaves that well in the fall.
Any other options to consider?
The front mount seems to work much better for these properties so the walker design of similar has a huge advantage with getting under trees etc
Any input appreciated thanks!

🔗World War I and II Era 1911 Webley Revolver Replica

https://preview.redd.it/08do7mt8kq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f5e2e11c48bdfaeda4468ae54b40d161996708b
As a history buff, I was drawn to the Denix Webley Revolver replica, with its ties to the Indiana Jones movies. The first thing that struck me was its weight, which made it feel like a real gun. The details were incredibly accurate, right down to the checkered grip and the engraving on the barrel.
However, I found it a bit disappointing that the break-open action didn't work. It may be a minor issue for some, but for me, it took away a bit of the authenticity.
Nevertheless, it's a great display piece and does justice to its historical origins.

🔗1851 Navy Revolver: A Reliable and Handsome Sidearm for Gunfighters

https://preview.redd.it/4go1my59kq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28c7506795c59a3a51fb4017acb8028da750acc1
This antique beauty, the Polished Gold and Nickel M1851 Navy Revolver by Medieval Collectibles, is a sight to behold. The intricate details on this 4-barrel pistol bring it to life, transporting you back to the Civil War era, and even beyond.
The 7.5-inch barrel, with its octagonal design, has a timeless charm that's impossible to ignore. The solid frame exudes confidence and strength, much like the times it was used. At 13 inches in total length and a weight of 2.3 lbs. , it's a well-balanced sidearm for gun enthusiasts.
However, there are a few areas that might require attention. Some users have reported loose moving parts and issues with the plating, which could affect its overall durability. Additionally, there's been mention of sharp edges and misaligned fittings, which might not be ideal for those handling this piece.
Despite these setbacks, the M1851 Navy Revolver remains a coveted collectible. With the right care, it could become a prized possession, adding an element of history to your collection.

🔗Denix 1106N 1873 Old West Revolver .45 - 12.25 Inch Metal Barrel with Wood Grips

https://preview.redd.it/qioj11m9kq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edd9aa1b35d2b8eebc4eb6cdc562852fce43d88c
I was pleasantly surprised by this 1873 Old West Revolver from Denix, it felt tough and well-constructed. The 5.5 inch black cast metal barrel and trigger give it a solid, weighted feel, while the genuine wood grips lent a touch of authenticity. In my daily life, it served as a perfect replica for a western-themed event and even in my holster, it looked great.
However, I did notice that the action of the trigger wasn't as smooth as it could be, but overall, this was a good purchase.

🔗Authentic Western Revolver with Gallery Stand (Metal Frame, 13-inch Overall)

https://preview.redd.it/xnfifxx9kq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4cc35c003453cfaeb4fda21ea1a01e1fc1799a2d
I've been using this decorative western-style navy revolver with a flint mechanism in my study, and it's quite a conversation starter. The ornate engravings on the barrel have made it a standout piece, drawing attention from my friends and family. The revolver's silver finish adds a touch of elegance to my space, making it a unique addition to my decor.
One thing I should mention, though, is the size. With an overall length of 13 inches, it takes up some room on my desk. It might be a bit too large for those with smaller studies, but it fits nicely in mine. The display stand provided is also quite handsome, complementing the revolver's design perfectly. Overall, I'd highly recommend this decorative piece to anyone looking for a standout addition to their study or office.

🔗Nickel-Finished 4-Barrel Non-Firing Revolver Replica

https://preview.redd.it/jxxif3bakq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80bf5d7a949610578258166a18317218b5873fa5
The Denix CA Classic M1851 Navy Revolver, Nickel, is a replica that truly captures the essence of the original. This non-firing piece of artistry perfectly mimics the iconic revolver, with its nickel-finished metal barrel and imitation ivory grips. The simulated firing mechanism, rotating barrel, and overall design make it a showstopper, reminding me of classic Western movies.
Despite its impressive appearance, the replica weighs in at a mere 2.3 lbs, making it an easy piece to handle and carry around with pride. However, one downside I've noticed is the overall length, which measures at 13 inches, making storage a bit of a challenge – but it's a small price to pay for such an authentic and beautiful replica.

🔗Historic 4-Barrel Pistol Replica by Denix

As a fan of Civil War reenacting, the Denix 1849 Wells Fargo Revolver has been a game-changer for me. Its realistic look and feel are top-notch, making it an excellent addition to my outfit, giving it that authentic touch.
The black metal and nickel body, with its wood grips, is a delight to hold and adds a sense of weight to it - a detail that's hard to find in other replicas. However, I've also experienced some minor downsides, like the non-firing replica being the only type available. But overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase, and it has become a favorite in my collection.

🔗Nickel Finish Smith and Wesson 1869 Army Revolver Replica

https://preview.redd.it/egr5fpyekq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=79eb49beb7c8fe2ae170a3c37b926897634afadd
As someone who's always been fascinated by the era of the Old West, I couldn't resist trying out this non-firing replica of the 1869 Army Revolver. Featuring a sleek nickel silver finish, this replica brought me back to the iconic "Cowboy" days.
Handling the replica felt like holding a piece of history, with the original's "single action" and "top break" mechanisms. It even had the added bonus of being a non-firing model, which meant I didn't have to worry about accidentally accidentally discharging it.
However, the size and weight of the replica were a bit more challenging to deal with, given that it's a faithful replica of the original. Despite this, I appreciated the fact that it gave me a better understanding of the real gun without the need to purchase one.
All in all, the Denix 1869 Army Revolver replica is a solid choice for anyone looking to step into the boots of a "Cowboy" in the Old West. Just be prepared to handle its size and weight!

🔗Authentic 1860 Civil War Revolver Replica for Display and Roleplay

https://preview.redd.it/bp7wlfbfkq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a3efbba9331edff288cc804aca89a45e7516a78
This Denix replica of the Civil War M1860 Revolver has been a fascinating addition to my collection. It's a fun and affordable way to appreciate the rich history of firearms while staying in compliance with safety regulations. The nickel finish metal construction with wood grips is a lovely touch, not to mention the realistic weight that really helps complete the illusion. With its simulated mechanism of firing and loading, it's like handling the genuine article - just without the risk of accidentally discharging it.
However, there's one thing I wish they had addressed. The replica does make a bit of noise and rattle when shaken, which can be a bit bothersome. Overall, I've found this non-firing replica to be a thrilling and authentic-feeling prop that any history or firearms enthusiast would enjoy.

🔗Authentic 45 Peacemaker Replica Revolver by Denix

https://preview.redd.it/0j0fjqofkq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e77ed396defd0efe2047d70a5f4d1b185d6d2137
I recently added the Denix 0.45 Army Revolver Engraved Brass FD1280L to my collection, and it's been a fantastic addition. This non-firing replica, featuring a gold patina finish and a wooden grip, brings the 45 Peacemaker look to life. I'm impressed with its weight and the realistic feel it provides—almost like I'm holding a piece of history.
The engraving on this magnificent replica adds to its allure, making it a beautiful conversation starter. As a collector, I appreciate the authentic details—from the barrel length of 3.875 inches to the gold patina finish. The wooden grip not only enhances its aesthetic value but also makes it feel like a genuine piece from the past.
One thing to note, some users have mentioned they would have liked a red tip at the end of the barrel, like on the real 1873 Single-Action Army Revolver. However, this does not seem to be a deal-breaker as the majority of reviews praise its realism and quality.
Overall, I highly recommend the Denix 0.45 Army Revolver Engraved Brass FD1280L to anyone who loves history and wants a realistic replica in their hands.

🔗Giclee Canvas Artwork with Premium Epson Inks

I recently fell in love with the iCanvas Midtown Moonlight by Emma Bell Canvas Print. This stunning piece is a true testament to the beauty of fine-art paintings, offering a texture and feel that's second to none. What really sets this print apart is the use of professionally hand-stretched Premium Epson Inks, which have proven to be vivid, fade-resistant, and water-resistant—perfect for any living space!
One of my favorite aspects of this print is that it's ready to hang straight out of the box with no assembly needed. It even includes hanging accessories, making installation a breeze. With a 26x40 deep frame in 1.5" thickness, this canvas print has a premium quality that's both visually stunning and durable.
Having this iCanvas Midtown Moonlight on display has brought a sense of calm and wonder to my living space, and I'm grateful for the craftsmanship and care put into creating it.

🔗Authentic Nickel-Finished M1849 Dragoon Revolver Replica

https://preview.redd.it/ny2wrlhgkq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6dbc4004a46104c8a24e4c13020909e6aa5042c0
As a history enthusiast, I was thrilled to add the Denix M1849 Dragoon Revolver (DX1055G) to my collection of antique replicas. The overall aesthetic of this piece is simply stunning, with its antique nickel finish and rich brown wood grips.
Handling this replica feels quite authentic, thanks to Denix's attention to detail in recreating the feel of a genuine revolver. However, it's important for collectors to remember that while the locks on these replicas are mechanically functional, they are completely safe and non-fireable, requiring no federal license to buy or sell.
One of the most impressive aspects of this replica is its accuracy in capturing the historical design of the M1849 Dragoon Revolver. From its 14 1/4" overall length to its 4 3/4" barrel, every element has been meticulously crafted to ensure an accurate representation of the original firearm.
While some may argue that this replica is slightly more expensive than others on the market, I believe the high-quality craftsmanship and historical accuracy make it well worth the investment. Overall, the DX1055G Denix M1849 Dragoon Revolver is a stunning addition to any antique weapon collection.

🔗Realistic 19th Century Smith & Wesson Revolver Replica with Antique Blue Finish

https://preview.redd.it/d3jk3pvgkq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c612bd18023da80f64ad25b9944b387d29f7e618
I recently added the Denix Replicas 1008L to my collection, and let me tell you, it's quite the impressive addition. The brass and blue finish blend beautifully, capturing the essence of the original Smith and Wesson "First Model American" Army Revolver. It's interesting to see how the hinged frame and automatic ejection system were pivotal in the evolution of firearms.
Despite its antique charm, the replica still brings a sense of realism with its single action mechanism and top break loading design. The wood grips add a touch of refinement to the overall design. However, using it brought to light a minor flaw – the wood grip's durability. In my experience, the grip began to show signs of wear, which was a bit of a letdown.
Overall, the Denix Replicas 1008L is a delightful addition to any collection, and it serves as a great reminder of the technological advancements made in the field of firearms. Despite its minor flaw, the replica still holds a special place in my heart.

🔗High-Quality, Realistic Training Revolver for Martial Arts and Defense

Using the Cold Steel Ruger Super Redhawk Rubber Training Revolver has been quite an experience. This training revolver stands out with its lime green color, making it perfect for anyone looking to train safely without the fear of accidentally shooting someone. The thickness of 1.88 inches and the overall length of 13 inches provide a realistic feel when practicing drawing techniques from the holster or disarming moves in close quarter situations. The polymer material makes it sturdy enough for rigorous training without being too harsh, thanks to the softness that allows for safe hand-to-hand striking.
However, it's essential to note that the barrel might have a bit of give and could bend a little under pressure, which could raise some concerns for serious martial artists or defense trainers. Nonetheless, this Cold Steel Ruger Super Redhawk Revolver is a reliable training partner, especially considering its affordable price and the fact that it's modeled after one of America's popular pistols, offering a practical yet cost-effective solution for gun enthusiasts or martial arts professionals.

🔗Realistic Navy Engraved Civil War Revolver Pistol Replica

https://preview.redd.it/5e6qfvohkq1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2e1afd73f2d53cd538b017ce82179f302174fa96
I recently had the pleasure of using the DENIX Navy Engraved Civil War Revolver Pistol Replica in my daily life and I must say, it was quite an experience. The stunning Navy Blue color of the gun immediately caught my attention, and the intricate engravings on the barrel made it look like a piece of art.
One of the features that stood out to me was the wood grips. They not only added to the overall aesthetic of the pistol, but also provided a comfortable grip that made it easy to hold and handle. The 13-inch overall length of the replica was just the right size for displaying and admiring it.
However, the replica did have some limitations, such as the fact that it is non-functional and intended only for collection and decoration. This might be a letdown for those looking for a fully realistic or firing replica. Additionally, the mechanics of the locks on the replica firearms are completely safe, but the unrealistic use of purchasing and possessing it should be double-checked in your local area.
Despite the minor drawbacks, the DENIX Navy Engraved Civil War Revolver Pistol Replica is a beautiful and reliable addition to any collection, and it certainly turned heads when I displayed it in my home.

2024.05.21 00:13 SlimeSpree HUGE Pilot Review (with pics!)

HUGE Pilot Review (with pics!)
I'm so excited to finally be reviewing Pilot! This is gonna be a long, info and image dense one! Lets go!....
Pilot Slimes, USA.
Variety of sizes from 7/7.5/8oz costing between £12-16. Fantastically designed waterproof labels. Some of the jars are PS which I’m not a fan of as they can’t be squeezed to aid in slime removal and it’s a nightmare, if not impossible, getting the labels off them even with the scotch tape method. They always come off PP pretty clean using this method. However, the textures that really need to be squeezed such as crunch bombs do come in PP jars.
https://preview.redd.it/p98sicrz8n1d1.jpg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a517408c01976e714d1bbe3496463b423681cc0e
I placed a couple of separate orders having circled back round after nabbing the ones I wanted most. It turned out to be unnecessary shopping from Pilot this manner! I really didn’t know what to expect and whether things would sell out in a frenzy but that wasn’t the case at all so you don’t have to stress!
It was a lovely surprise to get a super sweet email from Travis from Pilot asking me if I wished to combine orders. I really appreciate this level of customer service from a slime store as, I know it sounds silly, but I know what its like to be rammed with orders and emails after a product drop and don't want to further add to a team's stress by bothering them to dig out and combine my orders when it's my fault I shopped that way. Travis even wrote me a thank you note on the inside of the box flap so respect to Pilot for their absolutely stellar customer service!
Inside the box was a fat baggie of Borax with a sticker, a beautifully professional, large sized care card. Everything was extremely well packaged and the slimes were combined individually with their add ins which I very much appreciated! They also very kindly sent me two medium sized complimentary slimes.
I should state that I always put all my slimes in the fridge for 15 minutes prior to a review. I think that gives all slimes a fair and common starting point from which to judge them and takes back any stickiness in the event of hot weather. After reviewing, all my retained slimes are kept in a cooler at 10c/50f/degrees and 70% RH to ensure longevity and maintain them for future play. I will report back on their longevity in a few months time but I don't keep them all, only my favourites which I will be certain to want to play with again, with the rest given to friends.
Most of the slimes were a tiny bit over-activated on arrival which is actually something I appreciate and see as conscientious by a slime company. It is something some of my favourite stores routinely do (such as Momo.) I don’t add glycerine, I feel it makes them stay playable without the need for activator longer and allows them to melt down gradually on their own. I personally enjoy a bit of over-activation as it adds a slight crunch to some textures when you stretch them which I personally find satisfying. The down side is that cetain textures may be a little rippy but this was a minor issue with Pilot.

  • 1UP WIP (wip x clay, zooted at the carnival scented)
I thought the theme with just SO MUCH FUN! 🤩 The scent is gorgeous and just my jam, kind of like vanilla cream with wafts of cooking donuts. As I played, I start getting hints of mint and a notable suggestion of weed. Whether this was by design (considering the scent's name) or psychosomatic I’m not sure but this is a very pleasant and multifaceted fragrance that tells a story in scent as you play and I really appreciated and enjoyed that!
This is a puffy, stretchy, firm cloud creme, very slightly towards the doughy. It’s holdable, jiggly and gives a hollow “tup” when you give it a love tap when it’s fully inflated. It is very stretchy with clicks that get louder as it inflates and little crackles and pops. Lots of soft sizzles as you deflate. As mentioned above it was a little over-activated which made it rip just a little if I stretched too fast.
I loved this theme so much. The label was beautiful and assembled it really entertained me!

  • CRUSH’S KUSH (seed bead crunch, eucalyptus and mint scented)
The scent is soft and slightly soapy/bubblebath leaning and pretty fresh. Stunning pigmented clear slime sits on top of a compacted biscuit of seed beads that feel incredible to crush through and combine. Once fully combined I don't find seed beads the most exciting by they do create a good froth up for some crackles and pops. This is perfectly activated and not in the least bit sticky. Very stretchy with just the right amount of resistance. I did have a little bit of fallout with the beads but nothing bad. Not in the least bit pokey and gave my hands a pleasant massage.
https://preview.redd.it/08ol0tw1bn1d1.jpg?width=8712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d4ae5e069caf4fe95b85d652fb551288db1b37a

  • SCOOBY SNACKS (slay mallow chew, sour patch kids and hemp flower scented)
The first scent I was hit with was the sour patch kids with a subtle hint of weedy/fruity florals. This is a very dense and ultra chewy, somewhat chubby texture which is reminiscent of a butter and a snow creme but not quite a snow dough. It’s very holdable with medium clicks and some very good bubble pops from the sharp to the loud and low. It is a little bit rippy as you stretch due to slight over activation and becomes fairly matte with play. This was a nice enough texture but one I feel I’ve been over-saturated with from multiple companies of late.
https://preview.redd.it/f0aekg0abn1d1.jpg?width=8419&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3a9b619ba291e31325b21b956667cfd60f3d4ec

  • TOASTED (thick Korean clay butter, buttery baked bread and rosemary scented)
The scent is exquisite, exactly like a delicious, moist rosemary ciabatta. It made inviting little sizzles as I spread the sprinkles into place on its micro-bubble covered surface. This is extremely moist, plush and ultra stretchy and jiggly texture. The scent is just so pleasurable as you stretch and inflate it. This is a very slightly denser, more robust version of some of the Yyoung airy, inflatable slimes I got from Seoul Gage. Medium-loud clicks that increase in the volume and sharpness as it inflates and very soft pops. This is great for soft sizzles and micro pops as you deflate. This was a nice texture but I was really hoping to come across one which naild what I had in mind for the famous 'wip' texture and this wasn't quiiiiite it. I'd buy it again thought, it was nice and the scent incredible.
https://preview.redd.it/9nforuxsbn1d1.jpg?width=5458&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09f2e52d31f02be64e56d7565fa70ec45b58857e

  • BERRY HIGH (pigment putty, blueberry waffle cone)
I was getting an extremely mild berry scent with a whispering hint of biscuit. The base is a spectacular, deep pearlescent emerald green with flashes of violet. This was a beautifully activated putty with no stickiness at all. This is an extremely chewy, ultra thick clear with medium clicks, tons of crackles and snaps and tremendously loud bubble pops. It inflates like crazy and gave me some of the most dramatic air bubbles ever. It ended a pretty silver with a subtle cyan and green shimmer. This was fantastic! I never get bored of stunning pigments in clears and this was a top class slime in every way.
https://preview.redd.it/lenr9jkbcn1d1.jpg?width=1395&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d88f39cecd22f284b463f0fc8d5d32fdc6069691
The bubble factor in this slime was pretty wild!

  • SEA CUCUMBER (bouncy coated cleaicee / cucumber melon scented)
A very fresh scent leaning more towards cucumber with a hint of melon. Another very beautiful slime with fresh colors to go with the fresh scent and theme. It combines to a very pretty, plush and chubby seafoam coloured jelly. It has medium loud clicks and plenty of loud snaps, crackles and pops. A little bit over activated and rippy again but I’m OK with that, you may prefer to add a dot of glycerine depending on your personal preference. I’m not a huge jelly fan but this was a very nicely made one.
https://preview.redd.it/tcs6cfjmcn1d1.jpg?width=8896&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b7c30c182f78a75d106c6193a56de3459c5f549

  • SOUR GRAPES (mini frogspawn & regular frogspawn, sour grape scented)
This comes in a squeezy PP pot, which is much appreciated in order to get it out with a few squeezes! This has a subtle, sour grapes/candy leaning scent. Frog spawn beads are my favourite type and the croaks these emitted were just perfect. I also love the popping colour scheme!
This is a texture I mostly like to slowly push and squeeze to maximize the croaks and it works so well with the combo of beads. It has some nice crackles and little pops when you stretch it and fold it. The base is a thick, resistant and chewy putty and has no stickiness. This was the perfect frogspawn crunch bomb and I very much enjoyed it! I would 100% grab this texture again in a heartbeat!
Ribbet! 🐸 🫧

  • SEABERRY DELIGHT (mini frogspawn, mini bubble bead, silica sand/ turquoise waters, hint of berry)
A Fresh, mild, beachy perfume upon opening. It’s a shame it’s so difficult to capture the true color on camera as it has a gorgeous lilac shimmer which contrast so nicely with the turquoise. Unfortunately, as I played the scent took a turn and an almost fishy chemical smell came to light. There was a warning on the website that the beads can kick out a bit of a plastic smell and it was very strong and unpleasant to my nose. However, sounded amazing, extremely fizzy and crackly and absolutely exploded with small sharp pops when you inflate and squeeze it. What I find a shame is that it starts out looking so incredibly stunning ends up comparatively boring in aesthetic but that is just how it goes with particularly beautifully designed slime sometimes!
Overall, this isn’t a a particularly pokey texture BUT…. The other day I seemingly upset someone who voiced their discontent after I noted and warned in a review that a slime had the potential to cut skin. Admittedly, the texture I am referencing was a far more notably rough one. However, I did find several pieces of silica in this slime that had the potential to be dangerous and this time I took photos to demonstrate this. This isn’t the slime maker’s fault, it is unfortunately inevitable that some broken, sharp pieces will manifest when dealing with large batches of silica and you do have to be mindful as if you catch one wrong and you could scratch, nick or quite seriously pierce your skin.
Once again this is NOT a direct criticism of Pilot seeing as this is common in any slime of this texture. If you buy silica slimes from ANY slime company I would recommend you have a careful look and feel through the slime prior to play to ensure there are no dangerous pieces, especially if you are going to hand it to a less experienced slimer or a child. I feel it would be wise for shops offering this texture to put a little warning on their website that sharp and broken pieces could be present and need to be checked for. Admittedly, this has put me off this texture across the board (apart from the Rodem ones which seem to include particularly well rounded, small and smooth pieces of silica.)
This is one of the prettiest slimes I have ever seen first opened but I find it comparatively dull combined which is a shame!
There were 5-10 extremely sharp silica pieces in my jar so PLEASE be careful with this texture from any company and remember that silica is a component of glass. This is not an issue unique to Pilot or a criticism of their rendition of this texture at all but I would be mindful that this can happen in any silica slime. (Please excuse the gross macro shot of my dry slime fingers 😆)

  • PANNA COTTA (DIY clay, fluffy butter, jelly/ wild berry panna cotta scented)
A beautiful, fresh, creamy Panna cotta scent with notes of berries. The texture was plush, resistant and had a firm jiggle. It felt like it had snow in it and was dense and a bit towards the chubby, with a slight jelly feel. Very stretchy with some good pops in it, soft pokes and plenty of soft sizzles.
https://preview.redd.it/pmmi7c9mfn1d1.jpg?width=1841&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44e28fa2351c427c90412b003651c000cbb1c10b

  • STRAWBERRY BLUES (fimo crunch, blue raspberry & strawberry soda scented)
A subtle berry scent which is quite pleasant. This slime has a beautiful lilac shimmer which is always hard to capture in full on camera. It was lovely in the hands, the fimos were soft/bendy and non-pokey. The base was ultra thick with lots of resistance and very well activated. It had some loud snaps and small sharp crackles and some pops to it. A very nice slime!
https://preview.redd.it/yanplep8in1d1.jpg?width=1319&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7080ccfcd5ee730ceeb6f461809abccf32e9b604

  • MAGIC MUSHROOM (bouncy coated clear, garden thyme scented)
While this is a perfume based scent, the thyme comes through and it is very beautiful indeed. Pilot have absolutely nailed the stunning pearlescent pigmented clear slimes, this is glorious to behold! It’s a great clear to play with, as most of their clears are. Clicky and full of snaps and sharp pops.
https://preview.redd.it/d773neupin1d1.jpg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f09b1c28911baffee5edac8bd0d05ded194e3c4f

  • PURPLE HAZE (mini bubble bead crunch, lavender vetiver scented)
Carrying on with the purple theme, here we have another beauty. Again, the website did warn that the beads had a plastic scent and unfortunately they overwhelmed any scent that the slime may have had. I came back to it later and could detect wafts of lavender and vetiver but the horrible plastic smell overpowered them. I have had these caviar beads before from other companies and I really don’t recall them ever smelling this bad. This is redeemed a little by how beautiful the purple balls look in this slime, it feels good in the hands is fun to stretch creating lots of decent bubble, pops and crackles. A few balls did fall out of this one but nothing bad. I am sad that such a lovely slime has this issue with the smell! 😞
https://preview.redd.it/qnrtsp4kjn1d1.jpg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=afacfa05575a88eea067bd196f673065e4e0666e

  • CRUSH’S CUSH (base only) (coated clear, eucalyptus and mint scented)
The stoner sea turtle is back! This is such a pretty base I couldn’t resist getting it on its own! This is such an incredible, ultra thick coated putty, full of crackles and pops and I really do love it. I know many folks find clear slime a little basic but I personally enjoy the feeling of no or few add ins and popping hella bubbles. I find the visual element very stimulating and enjoyable so love Pilot’s offerings on this front! They smash it with the incredible pigments!
I personally think this is also prettier without the seed beads after play.

  • HONEYDEW MILK TEA (ultra thick x clear, honeydew milk tea scented)
A nice, fresh, slightly creamy melon scent. This is a lovely, thick, slightly glossy wood glue texture. It’s slightly over-activated, giving a nice crunch when you pull but getting very chewy and stretchy as it warms up. Quiet finger pokes that get louder as it inflates. Medium volume pops and crackles and plenty of them. I very much enjoyed this texture along with its beautifully fresh scent and colour.
https://preview.redd.it/rh01lf7skn1d1.jpg?width=5435&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=380bed34f14a9d730a9ea879435e231c39c0377c

  • LEMON MERINGUE (DIY clay/wip, lemon meringue scented)
I really did adore this scent, a very creamy and realistic, nostalgic lemon meringue. This was the best scent of the bunch in my personal opinion (with the rosemary bread of 'Toasted' being a close second.) I absolutely loved the combo of charms on this one, it was just so very pretty and charming. The whipped cream mini clays had dried out but this was warned on the website. This texture was quite wet and a bit greasy at first but this is typical of such textures and you have to keep the faith. The little clay whipped creams did not combine into the texture, but they will rehydrate and combine with a little time and rest.
This is a GORGEOUS light, fluffy, moist and jiggly snow creme with nice, moist, clicky finger pokes. This is far closer to what I imagined when it came to Pilot’s famous “wip” texture reminding me of a floofy, whipped honey butter sort of texture, I personally found it a preferable texture to 'Toasted.' It inflates loads and gets airier and fluffier as you play. It also has some great bubble pops. This was a fantastic slime and certainly the star of the show for me. I am now very keen to get my hands on more like this from Pilot.
https://preview.redd.it/47dgps98ln1d1.jpg?width=5866&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=51807f49cf16f0fee9d35f4ac66aa32cdeccd09d

  • Free slime: PIZZA PLANET (fluffy butter chew, pizza dough scented)
The scent is slightly savory, a tad yeasty and I had a hint of rosemary to it, I thought the whole concept was really cool and well done with the little baggie of (possibly corn flour?) that you rubbed on its surface. The whole theme, scent and colour of this dough had me, a whole ass adult, humming “That’s Amoré and pretending to be a pizza chef! Haha! This was a moist, chewy butter that inflated plenty and gave lots of lovely soft sizzles and some medium pops.
When the moooon hits your eyyye like a biiiig pizza piiiie....etc. 😂
The second free slime was an unnamed silica, seed bead and fish bowl crunch bomb which I am saving for a friend as it’s hard to review a no-name slime because I can’t tell you guys what it is in order to enable you to buy it!

CONCLUSION:
I’ve heard people say they were underwhelmed with Pilot and I can understand where they are coming from. I believe that it’s because the extreme hype leads us to believe that some sort of new slime innovation is coming our way, just to discover that the textures are all particularly familiar to us and very common to many other slime companies. I didn’t experience any textures that were new, unusual or particularly nuanced and sophisticated although I thought the lemon meringue was one of the nicest of that particular texture (and combined scent) I have experienced of late.
In my opinion, the manner in which Pilot shines and DOES deserve hype arises from the fact they are all VERY well done, extremely professionally made slimes. Nothing was sticky, I feel the slight over-activation is a professionally conscientious move, there was no mess or spillage on the containers, the labels were absolutely beautiful, the packaging and care card lovely and the themes all absolutely fantastic.
I found a small percentage of the scents to be excellent and the others somewhat faint/underwhelming and, in light of the plastic beads, some very unpleasant unfortunately. The overall impression I got from Pilot was a very polished and professional one and I personally very much enjoyed my order and will retain with enthusiasm. However, my future purchases from them (because there will be future purchases, they won me round) will be more targeted and far more modest. I would certainly be interested in more light wips, frogspawn crunch bombs and pigmented clears. The caviar and seed beads lost me and I just give up on silica at this point (apart from Rodem's) I’m afraid. The denser snow cremes didn’t really capture me and the scents are definitely something I will be a little more considered over when I shop in future. I thought they nailed the sweet/creamy/bread scents, they may be my preference scent-wise but they are not always done well. All in all I feel that Pilot are worthy of a solid 9.5/10

2024.05.20 21:42 Dova-Cloak4224 Pros/cons of the compact vac?

Looking to replace my general house use vacuum. I already have M18 batteries, and I am wondering if the compact vac will hold up as a day~day vacuum. My house has thick carpet and no pets. Realize the battery will probably discharge quickly with the carpet but at least I will be able to swap them instead of having to charge it for an hour.
I am curious how the suction power is and how the extension with head rolls on carpet? Any one really like or really dislike the vac? Why?
Thank you in advance,

2024.05.20 20:09 umm_ohkay Discharge

Hi everyone!
I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing thick snot like discharge. It’s clear with no smell but there is a lot. I googled it and this was a sign of preterm labor. Does anyone have any experience with this?

2024.05.20 20:00 c00l-kid-wannabe22 Wearing in hot weather

I’m looking for some suggestions of a good carrier to use this summer with my little girl who just turned one month and is around 9.5lbs.
We have a stretchy wrap from keababies and she has loved when my husband or I have worn her while doing chores around the house or going for walks. But if it’s a bit warm outside, the thickness and material of the wrap and my body heat have me worried about her body temp getting too high.
We do also have a structured Líllébaby SeatMe carrier but haven’t used that with her yet since she hasn’t been big enough without the infant pillow (which you have to buy separately and we did not). I have a feeling that may be more breathable once she gets to an appropriate size for it. We also have a ring sling, but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to comfortably and safely carry her in it.
Obviously if it’s too hot outside in general, I plan to just keep her inside out of the heat. I can’t just spend my whole summer locked in my condo with her though. So what are you all wearing your babes in during these warmer summer months?

2024.05.20 13:39 uhshashi Calculus for battery connection

Hello guys!
Im doing a battery pack for our Formula Student team. It's for the next seasons hybrid car.
I am using LithiumWerks ANR26650 cells (LiFePo4, 3.3v, 50A continuous discharge, 120A pulse discharge) in an array of 16s2p to be able to discharge nicely 100A for a few seconds.
The question is how should i pair the cells together. What material to use? How thick/wide the nickel strip should be? Should i use nickel with a combination of braided copper mesh?

2024.05.20 12:50 Connect_Rain_6710 Yellow Discharge Suddenly

So I just had a situation where I found myself having to break my door in with the help of neighbours…I didnt think I exerted myself too hard but when I got into my apartment, i sat down to pee and a thick, yellow discharge came out with along with some typical discharge. I just want to make sure this wasn’t a mucus plug, amniotic fluid, or anything else. It got me a little worried, I immediately booked in with my dr as I was due for an appt anyway but they can’t see me until later. I have no other weird symptoms. Can stress/mild exertion cause something like this or should I be worried?? (12 weeks)

2024.05.20 12:46 Moss_PigletNZ Found a bra that helps me feel comfortable in my perimenopause body

I’m so grateful I found this group, the posts have been super informative for finding a supportive fit! I was fairly small chested in my teens/20s, got a bit bigger when having kids, but could still just wear pull on stretchy bras and shelf tanks. Perimenopause has been the biggest body change for me!
Have felt quite uncomfortable adjusting, breasts have gotten bigger and heavier along with feeling more sensitive. So I used the bra calculator which put me at 36DD but I find 38D more comfortable. I don’t like wires and always avoided padding because I didn’t want to look bigger and wasn’t worried about nipples showing. Didn’t realize pads could be excellent bonus support for nonwired bras! It’s been a learning process lol
So I found the Bendon comfit wire free bra and it ticks all my boxes: thick soft adjustable straps, comfortable padding, wide back closure with 4 rows of hooks so it doesn’t dig in. I’m really sensitive to uncomfortable things digging in and when I wear this bra it just stays in place right where I need it and looks flattering too. So nice!

I recently gave CJ Dasida Soup Stock's Beef Flavor a try, and it's safe to say it's become a staple in my kitchen. The product, hailing from South Korea, boasts some bold flavors that truly make a difference in my cooking. With a rich and savory beef taste coupled with the premium taste of select vegetables and seasonings, my dishes have been elevated to a whole new level.
Being Korea's top-selling soup stock brand, CJ Dasida is a testament to the company's commitment to delivering quality seasonings. I've been using it in soups, stews, and other dishes that need a beefy kick, and the results have been nothing short of impressive.
However, despite its great taste and versatility in the kitchen, I've noticed that some users might find the product a bit on the pricey side. But for me, the quality and consistency of flavor make it worth the investment.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a high-quality soup stock with a strong beef flavor, CJ Dasida's Beef Flavor is definitely worth checking out. It adds depth to my dishes without overpowering the other ingredients, making it a must-have for all aspiring home chefs.

As a foodie who loves to whip up delicious meals at home, I was thrilled to try out the Kitchen Basics Organic Free Range Chicken Stock. One of the things that stood out to me right away was its taste. It's robust, and the chicken flavor is so well-balanced that it rivals homemade stock.
The product's high-quality ingredients also caught my attention. It's made with just chicken, vegetables, and herbs and spices - no nasty additives like MSG. Plus, it's gluten-free and low in sodium! It's perfect for those of us who prefer healthier options.
However, I must admit that the price point is quite high. For a 12-pack, it can be quite expensive. And there have been instances where the stock has expired before its indicated date, which was a bit inconvenient.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I've found that this stock is definitely a reliable staple to keep on hand. It's great as a base for chicken soup, casseroles, and even risottos. I highly recommend giving it a try if you're looking for a quick and easy way to add depth of flavor to your dishes.

As someone who's tired of the overwhelming taste of store-bought stock, Pacific Natural Foods Simply Stock - Chicken stood out in my pantry. Made from organic, locally sourced ingredients and free from any additives, the taste takes me back to my childhood.
I'll never go back to those artificial-tasting alternatives again. Plus, who doesn't love the convenience of popping open a carton? .
BPA-free packaging is a win-win for everyone, and the unsalted option allows me to tailor the taste to my preferences. Whether I'm in the mood for a hearty soup or a savory dish, this chicken stock has got me covered.

Imagine coming home after a long day, feeling famished, and craving some comfort food. You reach for a can of Kitchen Basics Organic Chicken Stock, eager to whip up a warm and flavorful soup. As you pour it into your pot, the tantalizing smell of roasted chicken and cooked vegetables fills your kitchen, transporting you to a cozy, home-cooked meal. The chicken stock comes with a plethora of organic ingredients – from vegetables like carrot and onion to spices such as turmeric and thyme, making every sip a mouthful of comfort and quality. And the best part? It's a gluten-free, free-range, and yeast-free chicken broth – perfect for those with dietary restrictions or sensitivities.
As you taste your soup for the first time, you're delighted by the flavor balance. There are no overpowering flavors, just the perfect harmony of each ingredient. The chicken is highlighted while the vegetables and spices lend a depth of flavor that just hits the spot.
However, every product has its drawbacks too. This one was no exception. While it lasts a good amount of time before expiring, I did come across a can that expired in 2018. Luckily, it was evident from the smell that it had gone bad long before its expiry date. The aroma that pervaded my kitchen and the ruined ingredients for my soup was less than ideal.
In conclusion, the organic aspect and the balance of flavors make Kitchen Basics Chicken Stock a delightful addition to your pantry. However, be cautious about the expiry date to avoid spoilage, and it comes with a premium price tag. Nevertheless, the quality of ingredients and taste make it a comforting choice worth considering.

I recently tried out the Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce in my cooking, and I have to say it definitely enhanced the flavor of my dishes. The sauce is rich and savory, adding a depth of umami that is quite delightful. One of the highlights was its versatility - it didn't just work well with typical Chinese stir-fries, but also added a unique twist to Western dishes like pork chops and cottage pies.
The no preservatives added aspect was a great highlight for me, and it was refreshing to use a sauce that didn't have any extra additives. This made the experience more natural and authentic, just how it should be. The sauce was also halal, which is always an important factor when choosing my ingredients.
However, there were a few drawbacks as well. The saltiness of the sauce was quite intense, and I found myself needing to use a lot less than usual to avoid overpowering the dish. Despite the convenience of the 32-ounce bottle, I ended up wasting quite a bit of it since it stayed unopened for extended periods. Also, the instructions on the packaging should be clearer about usage quantities, as they were a bit confusing.
Overall, my experience with the Lee Kum Kee Panda Brand Oyster Flavored Sauce was mostly positive. It added a wonderful depth of flavor to my dishes, but I would recommend using it sparingly due to its intense saltiness.

🔗Premium Brown Braising Sauce for Chinese Dishes

Recently, I stumbled upon Lee Kum Kee's Brown Braising Sauce during my weekly grocery haul. As a fan of Chinese cuisine, I was eager to try this versatile sauce in my recipe experiments.
Upon opening the bottle, I was greeted with an inviting and savory aroma that immediately piqued my taste buds. I decided to use it as a marinade for pork ribs, and I must say, the results were phenomenal. The sauce transformed the bland-tasting pork into a mouthwatering dish teeming with rich, savory flavors. My guests couldn't stop praising the tangy and aromatic taste, and many of them requested the recipe!
While the sauce truly elevated the flavor profiles of my cooking experiments, I noticed a slight aftertaste that I couldn't quite place. It wasn't unpleasant, but it was noticeable enough to be slightly distracting. I couldn't help but wonder if it was due to the use of wheat or soy in the sauce, as mentioned in the product specifications.
Overall, Lee Kum Kee's Brown Braising Sauce has become a regular in my kitchen, and I often use it to bring out the succulent flavors in my meat dishes. However, I would suggest being mindful of the slight aftertaste that some might find slightly distracting. But, don't let that stop you from trying this delicious sauce and exploring its potential in your culinary creations!

I was excited to use 365 by Whole Foods Market's Organic Chicken Stock in my cooking, especially since it was a fat-free option. First, I opened the container and noticed the golden hue of the chicken stock, a promising sign. Pouring it into my stew, I was delighted by its rich taste that elevated the dish to another level.
The use of organic free-range chicken, carrot purée, and a blend of seasonings really shone through. However, there was one downside - the sodium content was higher than I usually prefer.
Other than that small detail, this chicken stock was a great addition to my cooking routine. The affordability of this Amazon brand was a bonus, making it an overall satisfying experience.

I found it particularly useful when preparing a comforting bowl of noodle soup to enjoy on chilly days.
However, one minor drawback is that it is a bit spicier than I'd expected, so it's recommended to start with a small amount of this sauce and gradually add more to your taste. Overall, the Lee Kum Kee Sichuan Spicy Noodle Sauce delivers on its promise, offering a delicious and versatile way to enhance your Asian noodle dishes.

Experience the nostalgia of the 1980s with these Big Square Optical Quality Reading Glasses. These frames, boasting a vintage thickness and square shape, were a staple in the '80s fashion era. The glasses are meticulously crafted from high-quality acetate, giving them an air of durability, and they feature metal hinges and wire core temples for added strength and resilience. The optical quality of the frame is noteworthy, delivering a crisp and clear viewing experience.
One highlight of these glasses is that they are new old stock, which means they've been sitting around for years in excellent condition. While some may believe this is negative, it simply adds to the unique charm and appeal of the glasses. However, the 'made in China' aspect might be a drawback for some, but it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the product. Fit information for the glasses includes a 54mm eye size, 17mm bridge, 145mm temple/arm, and a width of 5 1/4 inches by height of 1 7/8 inches.
The only downside that users have pointed out, is that they run a bit small, and might not fit everyone comfortably. However, on the whole, these glasses are a well-made and visually appealing choice for those seeking an old-school reading glass experience.

Recently, I found myself in need of a high-quality chicken stock for a special recipe that required a bold, natural flavor. Kitchen Basics Chicken Stock proved to be the perfect solution. This all-natural stock is made with real chicken and other wholesome ingredients, giving it a rich and savory taste that's perfect for enhancing any dish.
One of the most impressive features of Kitchen Basics Chicken Stock is its texture. It's thick and hearty, so it gives a fantastic depth to soups and stews. Plus, it's not too overpowering, allowing the flavors of the dish to shine through.
However, the one downside I noticed is that it can be too concentrated for some recipes, especially if you're using it as a replacement for water or in dishes with less liquid. You may want to dilute it a bit to achieve your desired consistency.
Despite that minor issue, Kitchen Basics Chicken Stock has been a valuable addition to my pantry. Its natural ingredients and rich, satisfying taste make it a great choice for anyone looking to add depth to their cooking.

I recently tried the Taokaenoi Chinese Sausage Taiwan and it was a delight to my taste buds. This brand takes sausage to a whole new level, offering a unique Taiwanese style that I hadn't experienced before.
The preparation process is simple, with just steam required for around 15 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 166°F/74°C or above. I loved this sausage in my favorite steamed dumplings, which became an even more enjoyable meal.
However, I did notice that the sausage has a strong aroma, which might be overwhelming for some people. Nevertheless, it didn't affect the taste, and I still found it delicious and worth recommending to others.

🔗Authentic Chinese Herbal Tea for Dieters

https://preview.redd.it/3zl3qp7wyj1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=418e5cebb18ece53e4559505f9a965e10019a7b0
Recently, I've been trying out the China Green Dieters' Herbal Tea, a product that boasts an impressive rating and lots of positive feedback from reviewers. As I've been incorporating it into my daily routine, I've noticed several aspects that stood out to me - both positive and negative.
One of the highlights of this herbal tea is its premium blend of natural herbs based on an old Chinese book of medicine. The individually wrapped tea bags make it convenient to take on-the-go or to include in a busy schedule. Each bag contains a servings size of 1 cup, which means you can enjoy 30 servings per container.
However, there are some aspects I'd like to mention that may not be a perfect fit for everyone. For those who've had bariatric surgery, it's stated that the dosage may need to be cut down to be more carefully considered. The product's laxative effects may be quite strong, especially during the first few days. Some users have reported experiencing intense pain due to the potent laxative properties.
On the other hand, the tea does seem to help with bloating, aiding the digestive system, and providing a more natural approach to achieving a flatter tummy. The absence of artificial additives is appreciated, making it more of a healthy alternative compared to other teas on the market.
In conclusion, the China Green Dieters' Herbal Tea is a product with both pros and cons, with its natural ingredients and convenient packaging standing out. However, for those with bariatric surgery or sensitive stomachs, it's crucial to be mindful of the laxative effects and potentially adjust the dosage accordingly. Overall, it is a product worth trying out but may not be suitable as a long-term solution.

2024.05.20 09:41 Hot-West9928 Celestial war 1

You know the feeling of having something getting stuck in your teeth... My brain had that with this one... Finally got it out and thought might as well share it. Now I´m able to concentrate on my main story again.
This will be updated as my brain tells me to, so no promises on this one.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The stars, infinite space, and a race of silver giants who planted the seeds. For they were few and needed warriors for the war to end all wars. They seeded life everywhere they could, but life is a finicky thing, so they failed and failed and failed, until one day they did not fail. In an unimportant system of a yellow sun, eight planets and a dwarf planet life had finally enough. While the silver giants proudly declared their genius over everyone and creation itself as they succeeded on the third planet of this system, life had its own plans.
While the oceans began to spawn single-cell organisms and the giants touched them, gave them purpose, let them be more, life made a promise. Don´t mess with me, I make the rules, I made you and you will not use me. As the giants formed the planet, and let their creation rise out of the oceans, life added its own influences. While the giant formed creature after creature, life would kill all of them, in a merciless battle of survival, until the champion arose.
The silver giants, again declared their genius as they succeeded, they created the ultimate warrior race. Giant-scaled monsters! Ferocious beyond belief, they would be guided to be perfect weapons for the giants' cause. And then life struck, and the genius of the giants was destroyed in the blink of an eye. Making the planet inhospitable for those lizards, and life snickered.
But the silver giants would not be denied again, they took the creations and guided them, declaring once again their genius, as the quadrupedal furred hunting beasts roamed. They would again be guided and made into the perfect assassins and murder weapons for the giants. And still, life had its own plans. Unbeknown to the giants life had created its own champion and after that bipedal creature picked up a stick, and crushed the skull of a furred hunter with a single swing. The race for dominant species came to a crashing halt.
The silver giants were surprised, this was not planned, and they would not stand for it. They would eradicate this menace and return everything as it should be. While they berated each other about how it would be done most efficiently, life was laughing for this creature would multiply fast, and now more of them used sticks and an astounding variety of them. Long sharp sticks for poking things far away or in the water, short thick sticks to bash the brains of everything, and even long thick sticks to protect their stomping ground.
Finally, the silver giants would agree, the unwanted creature would be smitten, with the power of thunder and lightning. Burned in the unleashed inferno, and so they did. Lightning struck from the skies igniting forests and spreading fire and flame. But life just smiled, as the fire summoned rain, restoring the balance, and the bipedal creature scurried off into the caves, and holes where they hid from the wrath of the skies, but only after stealing something from the unleashed inferno, nothing more than a burning stick, but with it more than should have been allowed at any cost.
And the silver giants saw the rise of this creature, they again met to discuss and while they talked the bipedal creature would take more and more of the planet, using the stolen power of fire and flame to rise in might and ferocity. And while the creatures fought each other to sate their bloodlust, the giants decided. They would use the creature to destroy itself and with that, the silver giants spoke to humanity, to a single human. He would build a vessel allowing every one of their divine creations to board it and cleanse the world of taint. And they laughed as the human labored, those creatures were so gullible and life laughed because they still did not understand.
As the day of cleansing drew close, the vessel was completed, filled with two of every creature and with dread, the giants had to witness, as the flood animated by their design powered towards this boat, and the humans just got aboard, not two, not three but a hundred. As the human they tricked, saved more of their kind. At this life howled with laughter. Their genius was like ash before the wind, they could not start over for there was not enough time, they could not eradicate this creature as it would just emerge stronger. There was only one way left, they would form this humanity into the warriors they needed. And humanity did their very best to resist!
The giants once again discussed and humanity rose above every other creature in the blink of an eye, the tools of wood and stone, had gone to bronze and finally reached iron. And the giants knew they had to control them, or humanity would overrun them soon. They had to use the bloodlust of those creatures to their advantage, and with that, they reached down and helped sometimes, but every time humanity reached back and tried to take more. The giants would then reach down once more and gave humans something to fear their power.
They would create creatures of nightmares, and monsters of incredible power, uncontrollable by anyone, but every time the humans would slay them and those beasts would vanish into stories. They would shake the earth and kill thousands in natural disasters but humanity would always adapt, they would come down to the planet showing their awesome might, and finally, humanity seemed to understand. Humans gave them names, and titles, and started to worship their powers culling each other in their names. And finally, the Giants got their victory. And still, life just smiled, for it knew something the giants didn´t.
And as the giants retreated back into far space, leaving humanity to reach the stars on their own, as the last test of strength. Life laughed and hid the truth in amber treasure troves, and layers of stone, to one day let a curious human find the whole truth. And the whole truth they did find...
It was a cathedral of white marble, on a planet of unimaginable beauty, where two giants stood opposing each other, one many-eyed, white-winged with silver skin and golden eyes, the other of cold hard metal and science. The silver-sinned brandished a sword of fire and throwing darts of golden light, the other wielding a blade of monomolecular carbon-tungsten alloy vibrating at ludicrous speeds and infused with raw electric power and a one-handed solid slug thrower.
As the giants worked out their differences, the world around them burned. Lightning strikes of potent energies dueled with artillery of cataclysmic destructive power, beings of light-charged lines of armored figures, firing blue bolts of energy from handheld rifles, getting gunned down or sometimes reaching the line and tearing the smaller figures apart with their weapons.
"You will never kill us all!" The silver giant panted, swinging their sword against the metal warrior, their blow getting deflected with unnatural ease and barely dodging the retaliation shot of the slug thrower. "You are lesser than us. Nothing more than our servants!" The giant cried out in rage, while the metal warrior silently advanced landing a strike on the arm of the silver giant, bronze blood spraying and staining the unblemished white floor and walls. This enraged the silver being even more, and their duel gained a whole new level of ferocity.
The metal warrior took a few steps backward buckling under the assault of pure light darts on his armored shell, triggering a short burst of his pistol to catch some breath and deny the follow-up attack. He took an additional step back and steadied his stance, feigning catastrophic damage, but in reality, getting ready for his final gambit. The silver giant fell for it and raised his burning blade for a brutal overhead swing, to split the warrior from head to toe, in an unexpected burst of speed the warrior pushed forward thrusting his vibrating blade through the body of the silver giant, spilling the bronze blood everywhere and with a grunt of effort nailing it to the wall.
The giant coughing bronze blood flowing from their maw, dripping on the marble floor, their many eyes darting wildly trying to get away, but failing to free themself from the blade stuck in their body.
"You lost. Throne. Die in the knowledge, that we will never rest until all of you are dead." The voice of the mechanical warrior was deep and without mercy, he slowly aimed his pistol at the head, antic humans called an angel, as a second smaller figure entered the room. "Sire, we are in full control of the palace." It told the warrior, earning a nod of approval. "Very good Red-A-One, you fulfilled your duty splendidly." The warrior answered, thinking for a second. "I grant you the honor to execute the enemy leader before me, if I remember right, you lost family to those monsters" The figure called Red-A-One nodded "Yes, Sire my wife and daughter."
With this the metal warrior grabbed the hilt of the sword, pulling the silver being off the wall and instantly forcing it to kneel, as the smaller soldier pulled up his rifle and took aim. With the slow squeeze of the trigger, and the sound of discharging plasma the head and brain of the "angel" exploded spraying chunks everywhere. "Order the withdrawal Red-A-One, we're done here." The metal giant told the soldier as the corpse of the last enemy flopped to the floor.

In my quest for a reliable holster to carry my trusty Colt Detective Special, I stumbled upon the Galco Hornet Holster. Made from the finest horsehide and backed by Galco's reputation for quality products, I was eager to test it out.
I was not disappointed. Right from the get-go, the fit and finish of the Hornet were impressive, with even the tiniest details accounted for. The initial fit was snug, but following Galco's break-in procedure resulted in a perfect match. The minimal profile of the belt holster made it ideal for concealed carry.
As a holster for everyday carry, the Hornet truly excelled. It fit my Colt Detective Spl perfectly, as if it were made just for it. The comfort and security it provided were unmatched. I could confidently wear it throughout my daily tasks, knowing my firearm was safe and secure.

As a recent convert to Versacarry's Guardian Black Vault (OWB) Holster, I must say I'm impressed. The holster offers a universal fit, which is perfect for those who own multiple handguns and don't want to invest in a separate holster for each one. One of the standout features I noticed is the gun retention - it's secure and reliable without causing any discomfort.
The belt loop slots are another highlight, as they're wide enough to make the holster easy to put on. Plus, the variety of designs available means there's something for everyone - I found one that truly complements my style. Lastly, the affordable price point is a great advantage for those on a budget, like myself.
Of course, no product is perfect, and I did encounter a minor issue with the holster being a bit uncomfortable during the break-in period. However, it's nothing a little patience and persistence can't fix. Overall, I'm thoroughly satisfied with the Guardian Black Vault (OWB) Holster from Versacarry, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile and affordable option for their handguns.

As a responsible gun owner, I was always on the lookout for the perfect holster that would provide me with the ultimate security and convenience. Recently, I had the pleasure of trying out the Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro w/out Thumb Safety OWB Holster Prodraw by Vedder Holsters.
One of the first things I noticed about this holster was its customization. Each holster is crafted with precision to fit your gun perfectly, allowing for a snug fit that provides security without limiting your movement. The audible click when securing my gun in the holster was a nice touch, providing reassurance that my firearm was safely in its place.
The convenience factor of this holster is excellent, with an adjustable retention feature that allows you to decide how secure you want your holster to be. The paddle design makes it easy to put on and take off, without the need to undo your belt. The minimal bulk and weight make it ideal for everyday carry.
The quality of the holster is evident, with reinforced shells that ensure a convenient one-handed re-holstering experience, perfect for range days. This holster offers the perfect blend of lightweight, sturdy, and secure, perfect for both concealed and open carry situations.
Although I couldn't find any major drawbacks during my experience, it's always essential to note potential cons for the readers. However, based on the holster's outstanding performance and benefits, I would highly recommend the Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro w/out Thumb Safety OWB Holster Prodraw by Vedder Holsters to anyone in search of the ultimate paddle holster.

🔗Vedder Holsters Charter Arms Holster Claw Add-On Kit

https://preview.redd.it/l6k1a2ntxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=efddac673fa38cd3ea31a205aa12d0de4c02160f
Recently, I got my hands on the Vedder Holsters Holster Claw Add-On Kit. Now, I've always appreciated the minimalist yet functional design of Vedder holsters, but with this new addition, I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my daily carry.
One of the standout features of this kit is the ease of installation. It's simple, and once it's in place, you can truly feel the difference it makes in concealing your firearm. The claw really does its job, pushing the grip closer to your body, a huge plus for those of us who like to stay concealed.
However, it's not all sunshine and roses. The one-screw attachment for the claw can be a bit frustrating. It's tough to find that perfect balance of retention and ease of draw. I had to loosen it just a bit to make it work smoothly, but it still leaves a bit of play that I'd prefer weren't there.
Overall, the Holster Claw Add-On Kit is a solid addition to the Vedder Holsters roster. It adds a level of function and style that has quickly become a staple for my daily carry. Despite the odd hiccup or two, the pros of this product far outweigh the cons.

🔗Vedder Holsters Charter Arms Holster Claw Add-On Kit

https://preview.redd.it/cvjosu5uxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=986a098a004c818d195f2b7b88395259b75521ac
I've been using the Vedder Holster Claw Add-On Kit for a while now, and let me tell you, it's been a game-changer for my everyday carry. With three claws in hand, I was excited to see how they would enhance my experience with my Vedder Lighttuck holsters. The claw system, once properly installed, does an amazing job of pushing the handle of my firearms closer to my body, minimizing the printing, especially for my smaller firearms like a Kahr CW380.
One aspect that could have used some improvement is the lack of a second screw for a more secure attachment, making it difficult to maintain a tight enough grip on my pistol without hindering the draw. Additionally, compatibility with smaller revolvers or light-bearing holsters may not always be consistent, as evident by some of the other reviews I've come across.
Despite these minor cons, I'm pleased with my purchase, and the Vedder Holster Claw Add-On Kit has made my concealed-carry experience even smoother and more comfortable.

🔗Ultimate ComfortTac Belly Band Holster for Quickdraw Access and Concealment

https://preview.redd.it/7kaf2e6uxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=244b94d9ab559d87673f484ede77705edda877e7
As a reviewer, I've had the chance to try out the ComfortTac Belly Band Holster in my daily life, and I must say, it's been a game-changer. The holster is designed for deep concealment, and its quickdraw access system allows me to draw my weapon in one smooth motion. The retention strap with the deep concealment buckle is a standout feature that ensures my gun stays secure in its place.
One of the things I appreciate most about this holster is its versatility. It fits a variety of gun sizes, making it perfect for those who own multiple firearms. The holster is also versatile enough to be worn in most positions, which means I can use it both under and over clothing. The perforated holes promote less sweating, and the stretchy elastic adjusts to any body type, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods.
However, there are a couple of cons I've encountered while using this holster. The built-in pocket is a great feature, but it could be more secure and prevent accidental exposure. Additionally, the removable magazine pouch is handy for quick access to spare rounds, but it can be a bit difficult to use with larger caliber magazines.
Overall, the ComfortTac Belly Band Holster is an excellent option for those seeking a comfortable, versatile, and secure way to carry their firearms. With its deep concealment, quickdraw access, and custom fit options, it's no wonder why it's a top-selling holster on the market.

🔗Small of Back Holster for Concealed Carry

https://preview.redd.it/ncdf49luxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54c45e5ac7ecaaea62ddce760a8ffc935527341d
As a fellow gun enthusiast, I've been in search of the perfect concealed carry holster for quite some time. That is until I stumbled upon the Palm Out Draw Small of Back Holster by Dara Holsters. This holster is nothing short of a game-changer for all those struggling to find the right one.
What stood out to me was the holster's versatility. Despite my body's particular needs, this holster managed to secure my gun in a comfortable position without any hassle. The angle and design of the holster also ensured that the grip was always in reach and the trigger safely covered. It's clear that Dara Holsters put a lot of thought into the positioning of the pistol, making it easier to draw and maintain a balanced stance.
However, no product is perfect, and I did find one minor drawback. The clip that holds the holster to my belt was quite stiff, making removing it at the end of the day slightly more difficult. But that doesn't take away from the holster's overall functionality and the fantastic job it does at concealing my weapon.
In conclusion, the Palm Out Draw Small of Back Holster by Dara Holsters proved to be an excellent investment. It's not only comfortable and efficient in its job, but its construction also highlights the company's commitment to quality and attention to detail. It may have a bit of a learning curve to get the perfect fit, but once you do, it's smooth sailing. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable concealed carry holster.

🔗High-Quality Belt Holster for Charter Arms Undercover 2" Bar

I had the pleasure of trying out the Bianchi 111 Cyclone Belt Holster for my Charter Arms Undercover 2? Bar handgun. As a dedicated gun owner, I always prioritize safety and convenience when it comes to my holsters. This particular holster stood out to me right away.
The moment I slid my handgun into the holster, I appreciated the snug fit that it had. The soft and supple leather felt luxurious on my handgun. I loved how it secured my handgun while still allowing me to easily draw it from the holster when needed. One of the best features of this holster was its ability to be worn cross-draw style, which I found to be a great option when spending time in the car.
However, there was a bit of a downside. The snug fit that made me feel secure also made it a bit challenging to remove my handgun from the holster. I occasionally had to use extra force to get it out, which might not be ideal for some.
Overall, my experience with the Bianchi 111 Cyclone Belt Holster has left me impressed with its level of craftsmanship and comfort. While there might be a slight learning curve when it comes to removing the handgun, the holster's build quality and versatile design make it a worthwhile investment for frequent users.

🔗Custom Kydex Holster for Charter Arms Undercover 38 Special

I recently purchased the Charter Arms Custom Kydex Holster for my Charter Arms Undercover 38 Special and was quite impressed with how well it fits my gun. The holster is made from high-quality Kydex material and has a sleek, low-profile design that fits comfortably in my front pocket. The fast draw feature is a great addition, making it easy and quick to access my firearm when needed.
One of the standout features of this holster is its customization options, with 12 different colors to choose from. I opted for the black color, which adds a subtle touch of style to my everyday carry. The holster also comes with a 100% no-questions-asked lifetime warranty, giving me peace of mind as I use it.
The only slight drawback I encountered was that the holster had a slightly different shape from the product photos. However, this didn't affect its overall functionality, and I soon realized it was because each holster is handmade, which adds to their unique appeal.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend the Charter Arms Custom Kydex Holster for anyone looking for a high-quality, convenient, and stylish way to carry their Charter Arms Undercover 38 Special.

🔗Charter Arms Undercover 38 SPL Revolver Leather OWB Holster - Comfortable and Secure Fit

https://preview.redd.it/3c4b0zkvxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e81f6054328420d76bc8566fd5422d5909cf075e
For the past few weeks, I've been using the Charter Arms Undercover 38 SPL Revolver 2-3 inch Leather OWB Holster in my daily life. This holster has been a game-changer when it comes to carrying my firearm securely while on the go.
One of the best features of this holster is its fit. The leather is carefully molded to perfectly fit my specific firearm, providing a comfortable and secure holder. The hand-dressed and burnished edges give it a classic yet stylish look that blends well with my personality.
However, there have been a couple of drawbacks. The shipping time did take a bit longer than expected, but it was understandable considering the product's origin. Additionally, I encountered some issues with the warranty process, which required a bit more communication than I would have liked.
Overall, the Charter Arms Undercover 38 SPL Revolver 2-3 inch Leather OWB Holster has been a steady companion, providing both security and ease of use during my daily activities. While there have been a few hiccups along the way, the pros definitely outweigh the cons, making it a reliable and stylish option for concealed carry.

Buyer's Guide

When purchasing a holster for your Charter Arms firearm, consider several factors to ensure you make the best choice. Our buyer's guide features crucial aspects to consider, such as material, retention, and concealment. By following these guidelines, you can find a high-quality and functional Charter Arms holster that suits your needs and preferences.

Choose the Right Holster Material

https://preview.redd.it/lcxkrm7wxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f9c1b3b1fe7482d8f7791cd1824dddbe9da9a233
There are multiple holster materials to choose from, including leather, Kydex, and nylon. Leather holsters are known for their durability and stylish appearance. Kydex holsters are lightweight, durable, and maintain their shape well. Nylon holsters are cost-effective, but they may not last as long as leather or Kydex.

Consider Retention

Retention is essential for a secure holster. It ensures that your firearm stays in place when you need it to, and it prevents accidental discharge. Look for a holster that offers adjustable retention, as this will allow you to fine-tune the level of hold your firearm experiences. Retention methods may include thumb snap locks, locking latches, or passive retention systems.

Focus on Concealment

A concealable holster is crucial for everyday carry as it helps protect your firearm from potential threats. In this regard, consider the holster’s design, such as an inside-the-waistband (IWB) or outside-the-waistband (OWB) configuration. Some holsters also feature concealment clips that help minimize the profile of the holster and its contents.

https://preview.redd.it/3s1v4sgwxi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84a52cd3103f067bbbaea10bbda29617ea65720e

Holster Compatibility

Before committing to a holster, make sure it is compatible with your Charter Arms pistol. Check the holster’s model, brand, or dimensions to ensure it will fit your specific firearm. Some manufacturers provide a list of compatible pistols to simplify this process. It's essential to consider the correct grip width as well.

Fit and Comfort

A well-fitting holster contributes to your overall comfort. Ensure that the holster is designed for your particular Charter Arms model, as this will ensure a proper fit. Pay attention to any adjustable features that might affect the fit and comfort of the holster. A comfortable holster with proper retention can make a significant difference to your carry experience.

Warranty and Customer Support

https://preview.redd.it/5eh62gbbyi1d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aab4fc39c38a752568fcaee4a411f3d49a7d07b8
Before purchasing a Charter Arms holster, consider the warranty and customer support provided by the manufacturer. A reputable company will typically cover their products with a warranty and offer excellent customer support to address any issues or concerns that might arise.
When choosing a Charter Arms holster, prioritize features such as material, retention, concealment, compatibility, fit, and comfort. Don't forget about warranty and customer support from the manufacturer. By taking these factors into account, you’ll be well-prepared to find the ideal holster for your Charter Arms firearm and ensure a safe and comfortable carry experience.

2024.05.20 03:39 kevararara Ovulation

I always thought that when ovulating my discharge consistency is clear and stretchy and i would go based on discharge. Which doednt mean it is correct, based on what i have read here on reddit, anyways, my question is Is it true that ovulation doesnt necessarily happens at the same time after menstrual period?!

2024.05.19 23:18 bilboswaggginz I have some links for busty petites. Some style recs for those big boobed shorties.

I’m sure most know petite refers to height (5’3” and under). I know it’s already a got dang S T R U G G L E to find properly fitting clothes being short, add in a bigger bust and it’s super frustrating. 😬
For me (5’) I also have chunky af upper arms and a thick body. I can fit xs-xl depending on the brand and fit! It’s ridiculous.
But anyway, i wanted to share some links that had some ideas and recs. Some styles might be outdated (like calling some toos slutty for us bigger chested 🙄), but i found some useful stuff in them.
https://blog.petitedressing.com/how-to-dress-petite-large-bust/
https://www.dressarteparis.com/busty-petite-style-guide-to-look-effortlessly-chic/#busty-dress
Still learning and looking. If anyone wants to add some, please do!
I LOVE wrap tops, wrap dressed or dresses with stretchy fabric in the waist/underbust area. I like crop tops with higher waisted shorts/pants. Buying capris to fit ankle length also helps elongate my short, stubby legs. No turtlenecks, or high neck as they make me look too heavy. Cannot wear baggy clothes because i look so “boxy” and it tents up top.
Also, boots don’t look so good on me because of my thick legs. 😭😭 but platforms do!

2024.05.19 18:02 gutterflower9173 YI that won’t go away…

H’okay so …
This started almost 3 weeks ago.
I woke up one day and felt like someone had taken a blowtorch to me. Everything was inflamed and stinging and all sorts of swollen. But I didn’t have discharge that I could tell. I gave it a couple days and it never got better so I went to urgent care because I couldn’t get in to see a doctor until the following week and I was in hell and had no idea what it was (never had a YI before, and I’ll be grateful if I never have one again thanks…).
They said it was a YI and the discharge was there just really dry. They gave me diflucan, one pill to be taken immediately and one pill to be taken after 72 hours if the symptoms persisted and sent me on my way.
24 hours after the first pill I felt like a new woman.
72 hours I felt fine. I still had some light itching but I thought nothing of it and figured I was healing and let it be.
120 hours (so 5 days post first dose) the itching starts to get worse and the stinging comes back. So I take the second pill.
Same cycle. 5 days after I take the pill, the itching comes back and omg it’s intense. Stinging and swelling happens once in a while but now it’s the itch that just won’t stop.
I cannot get in to my doctor or any other doctors in the area for over a week unless I go back to urgent care, and my PCP wouldn’t write me a script for diflucan over the phone. So I grab the first appointment I can and start trying to just find relief and if I fix it on my own I’ll cancel the appointment.
Water rinses when I went to the bathroom and baking soda baths at night helped at first. I knew anything I have to insert would be an issue because of penetration problems (vaginismus) so I started externally with some home remedies. Well it was getting better, until Fri night when the actual thick cottage cheese discharge started and the pain full on came back.
Yesterday I get Monistat 7. I was going to try it anyway even if I knew for me it would be a struggle.
Monistat 7 was enough to make me cry in pain and writhe around from how intense the burning was, and I only managed to get half the cream in. It still burns almost 12 hours later though now it’s much more manageable. I’d take the YI burning over that. Any of you who use 1 or 3 without even a whimper, I applaud your pain tolerance because omg.
So … if you’ve read this far I owe you internet cookies.
What now?
If the diflucan didn’t work, what else can I do? Or what else would a doctor give me?
Is that level of burning normal for Monistat and I should keep doing it or did I just flay the skin off my hooha?
What about boric acid? I see that recommended too but with my difficulties with inserting things would that be an option?
