I’m an Emerald ADC looking for more advice to improve as I want to push for Diamond this split, but feel as if I am at a disadvantage when it comes to the knowledge of the game and would love to hear your guys’ thoughts.
First, I want to share how I understand the game and my thought process. Then, I would love for you to challenge why I misunderstand key concepts that might be affecting my fundamentals.
Champ Select: During champ select, I try to give prio to Top or Mid for last picking as I feel like ADC’s typically do not get hard countered in lane and being counterpicked can be mitigated by a strong support pick or jungle presence. That being said, if I am laning with a roaming support such as a Pyke or Naut, I will try to pick a long range, high wave clear ADC such as Jhin, Cait, or Jinx
Laning: Trading and farming aside, I try to keep an eye out for the enemy jungle’s position and prioritize vision control over CS even if multiple waves are crashing to prevent a dive. I feel like in lane, I struggle to earn or extend a lead unless its through wave management which can be difficult if the support hard pushes the wave too early or if the enemy lane has wave clearing advantage.
Mid-Game Macro: I prioritize objectives and rotating mid after bot tower falls. This is where my CS/min tends to fall the most as I mistime my recalls or prioritize objectives. I try to avoid team fighting unless someone is overextending or an objective is up, especially when behind.
Late-game Macro: Now that I’m online, team fight or 1-3-1 to pressure objectives and end.
I think on paper, my thought process makes sense to me. Where I think I can improve is how to adjust my gameplan for different team comps for laning.
For example, how would I adjust if they have an extremely dive heavy comp? Do I sack waves until laning is over or pick a self peel ADC like Xayah or Ashe and try to keep pace with enemy ADC? What if their lane has strong wave clear like a Cait + Seraphine and I have a roaming support? Do I concede to farming under tower and risk a dive or play even safer and just wait for my support to come back?
I feel like these types of questions show where I struggle, but would love to hear if my thought process and approach is just plain wrong.

Everybody wants Norsca to be relevant and good again. With Epidemus, Tamurkhan, Malakai, Kislev, Thrott the Unclean, Malus Darkblade surrounding you, and the WoC update, a lot of people have complained that the Norsca roster feels slim, bare-bones, and their campaign can feel lackluster. That being said, Norsca has an amazing economy (arguably the best), a solid dependable defensive base in Norsca, the capability for rapid expansion, and strong lords so it definitely DOES have a lot going for it, and Throgg himself can lead an extremely frenzied (or rapid) campaign.
TL;DR of How Throgg and Norsca Work
Will try to only give pros and cons relevant to Throgg's faction rather than the Norsca.
Pros:
You do have a bit of a tough initial battle, but you got it for sure. Let your province allow you to recruit 1 more, recruit and move. Ignore Norsca after you get your initial province, go down, take Malakai out ASAP (very achievable, rush his artillery). get Lair of the Trolls, go down and you'll find Kostatlyn and Azazel fighting, with Kostatlyn wounded. In fact, if you offer to join his war against Azazel, he'll most likely agree to be your vassal (happened in 3 out of 3 playthroughs). Don't let him be your vassal, he won't join wars against Katarin and its in your victory condition to crush him. With this, you have Katarin to crush and you can recruit another lord in Norsca to lead your war to confederate the others.
Build infrastructure buildings ASAP. Minor settlements will have growth building + minor military chains + either the income building (only 150g, so not really worth it), or the building that gives you a wizard hero.
If you decide to raise another army, it could be worth it to wait till Throgg minimizes the global recruit time for trolls. You can save loads of turns and cash because you recruit 3 Ice Trolls per turn. Replace Throggs army with Ice Trolls ASAP though, and make sure that its recruited on the east side of your province because thats significantly faster to reach Throgg with than raising at the capital.
Mid Game:
A decision here: Do you continue conquering past Kislev into the Empire and eventually running into the Chaos dwarves? Or do you conquer the entirety of Norsca and go north? It's up to you. You've probably already accomplished your early victory conditions, so it's entirely up to you.
The ideal composition for non-Throgg armies now are LL, 2 Skinwolf Werekin, 1 Fimir Balefiend, and 1 Sorcerer-Shaman, 6 Skin Wolves, Ice Trolls, and maybe 3-4 ranged units (I add them for flavor but you could just have more Ice Trolls or whatever you want here).
Malus Darkblade will be a PROBLEM. Loads of ranged weapons, artillery, and Malus is a tough, tough guy to beat. Sigvald might also have the legendary heroes with him + upwards of 5-6 armies between him and his vassal who attack you from all sides. Sigvald and Malus will 100% get some of your settlements. You can't be everywhere all at once.
Late Game:
Mammoth doomstacks. Raze settlements. Occupy and paint the map. Do whatever you want. You were done with your objectives in the early game, it's entirely up to you what you want to do now. You've also experienced most of the roster, so it's literally just long term objectives for you. I would actually not advise that you play into the late game, because I am almost certain you will find the campaign stale as hell and the god rewards aren't worth grinding out for, especially now that we have Tzeentch and Nurgle factions.
Trees
In this order for Throgg:
If you're an old head who's played a ton of Norsca, it be very enjoyable to play Norsca with the new LLs that surround you. If you're new and own WH1, Norsca is a fun faction that you need no DLC for to have everything. There's no time wasted in this campaign, no down time, it ramps up as fast as it burns out.
Definitely a fun change of pace, a straightforward campaign, it's not where we would probably want Norsca as a faction and they would benefit a ton from just a few more units and some end game goals. That being said, I don't think it deserves the amount of hate I see it getting. It's enjoyable.
Final rating:
8/10+ if you're a Norsca fan.
7/10 if you're neutral.
5/10 if you're a difficulty nut.

TL;DR of How Throgg and Norsca Work
- Norscan leaders can automatically confederate other Norscan factions by defeating the faction leader. This leads to Throgg having a 4 settlement start by the end of turn 1.
- With the blue line skill tree, you can get 9% improved casualty replenishment, another 9% with a Fimir Balefiend. That's a TON of casualty replenishment, especially when you consider the fact that with Mammoths, Ice Trolls, and Skin Wolves, your units rarely if ever drop to a low amount of models.
- Throgg gives Trolls & Ice Tolls a physical resistance of 15% and a reduced upkeep of 20%, which makes the unit absolutely fantastic faction wide.
- Their tier 3 ports give 800 income, 15% casualty replenishment and +30 growth. Enough said.
- Loads of buffs for sacking, and rewards you for razing settlements to the ground. When you raze a settlement, you can dedicate it to 4 gods. Benefits ranging from improved income from ports, improved casualty replenishment, reduced upkeep for your armies, and unique lords.
- A monster hunting mechanic that gives items, cash, and of course, unique RoR monsters to join your armies. Surprisingly, this actually isn't really that impactful. The RoR are amazing, especially the Hellcannon, but they're minor compared to everything else.
Will try to only give pros and cons relevant to Throgg's faction rather than the Norsca.
Pros:
- Very fresh campaign because wherever you look, you have enemies. In less than 40 turns, it's almost guaranteed you will fight Dwarves, WoC, Nurgle, Kislevians, Dark Elvens, Empire, Norscans, Skavens and a plethora of LLs.
- You can get Throggs end game doomstack online very fast. The doomstack stays relevant the entire game. Throgg is fun AF to use, and Ice Trolls & Skin Wolves reliably destroy most armies. I wish I could have 5 Throggs, I'd literally paint the entire map in maybe 100 turns.
- Very flexible gameplay that rewards you in every way for being aggressive and moving forward.
- Throgg gives his personal armies Trolls +8 MD, +12 Leadership (!!), another -10% upkeep, 20% missile resistance, Frenzy (which is massive on these guys), and most importantly, HORRIBLE REGENERATION which means they can REVIVE DEAD MODELS (ABSOLUTELY WILD). These buffs also apply to Skin Wolves and Femirs. With the red tree, you can give them another +6 MA and 12% WS. With techs, +10% charge bonus, and another +10% WS. **THEY ARE INSANE AND HIT LIKE A WRECKING BALL. To make it even better, Throgg has the ability to give Ice Trolls a global recruitment turn of 1, which greatly improves your ability to navigate in enemy lands.
- Norscans encamp stance is a raiding encamp stance providing 10 MD, 10 LD, raids, makes them immune to attrition, and decreases the upkeep of that army by 20%. Huge, huge plus.
- When you confederate Wulfrik, he's still the same insane duelist. With his abilities, you can reliably snipe 99% of the LLs with little to no effort. I struggle to see an enemy AI that can take him on except maybe Malus Darkblade and even then, you'd need a large XP gap. Mammoth Wulfrik? No shot. He can drop most generic LLs MD to 0 and stop them from moving.
- You can achieve the win condition by as little as 30 turns. Damn.
- Easily the best end turn sound effect. Click end turn, inhale, and yell NOOORSCAA.
- The roster is slim, and as a result, it can become very stale. In fact, I would boil down the roster to two LLs, heroes, ice trolls, chaos trolls, mammoths (sick af tho), and skin wolves. You could maybe play fimirs but you have better trolls so why? That's really not that many units when you consider factions like WoC, Lizardmen, High Elves, Skaven, etc. This is a WH1 faction, they should have so many more units (I get that it may not have as much content from the table top).
- You have defendable inner provinces but you're surrounded by enemies. You literally can't be everywhere at once. Although, when you conquer the Northern chaos wastes, you have your back to the edge of the map.
- Norsca is too long. It can take upwards of 8 turns to go from 1 end to the other, and there's mountains separating them as well, so you could chase Wulfrik down the middle only for him to be on the other end and all of a sudden you're listening to this.
- Outside of your own personal goals, the campaign offers little to no goals after you beat the initial goal. You got the only other LL within 30 turns. You crushed Kislev. The Empire is a grind. You got your tier 5 settlements and units within 30 turns. It can be stale. I personally enjoyed the campaign late in because I like painting the map and watching Throgg eat up different LLs but there were moments where it was weak.

Trees
In this order for Throgg:
- Blue Tree: I recommend 3 points in despoilers, 1 in Norscan Resilience (You're never there long enough to benefit from the growth and recruitment cost doesnt matter). Lightning strike, unnatural healing, and then you can skip spawn of chaos but you're already there so you might as well.
- Red Tree: You definitely want to optimize for trolls, and then for monsters of the north. On Throgg though, you can skip going for monsters of the north, and immediately go into Throggs line now.
- Throggs Line: You can skip Dread Retainers (its good but not necessarily priority). Primordial might is great for WS as well, makes it worth getting.
- Yellow Tree: The rest is up to you. It's all good here, I take hard to hit and deadly blade, wound maker, and indomitable/scarred veteran (both good, especially since Throggs regen helps him last vs LLs that cause terror).
- Beeline to Corpulent Sails (campaign movement range is insane).
- Monster Hunter into Ice Blooded Strength (boost your trolls even more).
- The rest is completely up to you, I skip the marauder lines though (so basically just ignore top left of the research map).
- Trolls: You should know this by now. Beasts, crazy stats, crazy regen, cheaper, physical resistance, easy to globally recruit.
- War Mammoths: One of the coolest units in the game, a doomstack of these has a hard time losing.
- Skinwolves: I actually got really good use out of these units in the campaign. Anti-large is becoming more and more useful, the regen is excellent, they're speedy as hell, I was surprised by how much I loved this unit. They definitely fall off as the game goes on though.
- Chaos Frost Dragon: You will recruit these because they're dragon. They're pretty good. You'll enjoy.
- Throgg & Wulfrik are really, really fun. Wulfrik more so than Throgg. He has a ton of bound abilities.

I'm a Selbstlader 1906 stan. I know it's basically a straight downgrade to the General Liu rifle, but I don't care. The silly toggle-lock rifle is just way too fun to stunt on people with. The past few hours I've revisited it after getting about 70 kills with it and dropping it and slapped another hundred+ kills on it. There are certainly better weapons that do similar work, such as the aforementioned Liu, the Selbstlader 1916, the Howell, and the Mondragon, but the Selb 1906 has some damn good character to it. Pair it with any of the revolvers and you've got some good close range coverage too. I recommend buckhorn sights as well, they really help with peripheral and pulling in those shots when an enemy is traveling.
Traveling with teammates turns you into the squad designated marksman, cleaning up kills from enemies that are hiding behind cover, providing accurate kills and suppression at range, and also giving your teammates revives and healing while they deal with more immediate threats while you're reloading/healing/reviving.
In solo engagements the hipfire is actually rather accurate and if you space your shots at mid to long range, your accuracy will be good enough to challenge exposed scouts and machine guns, but your DPS won't save you if you aren't ambushing or your enemy is lucky. All else fails at close range, remember your melee weapon and sidearm exist lol. After firing one or two shots, it's alright to do a manual reload, but after three or four it's best just to empty the gun (unless you're trying to be stealthy) and do a stripper clip reload. At any range unless you nail a head shot it will always three shot kill. Close range you can one head, one body, and longer ranges you'll have to hit two head shots if you want a two shot kill. With 300 RPM fire rate you can empty your magazine extremely quick, meaning at close range in a crowded room you can kill multiple enemies if you can get them to stack up correctly.
But yeah, the gun sucks, but it also like, doesn't? You kind of end up as a diet scout with still some nasty CQC in short bursts, but it's certainly not as reliable as the Federov or the Mondragon or the Howell overall.

I haven't regularly stayed in hostels in a few years but have been looking at dorm beds and private rooms in hostels in the Pacific Northwest recently, and I'm a bit shocked by how much hostels charge. In early June the HI Vancouver is charging $93 Canadian for a bed in a 4-person dorm mid week and $99 on weekends. The private rooms are in the $280-300 range. I know hostels do dynamic pricing based on how busy they are because the following week dorm beds are $10 to 15 less.

 | So, as many know. The 2tr-fe is kind of a shitty engine in terms of having usable power. I know a lot of you will say trade for a v6. I would, but it’s a long story so I’m gonna keep it simple and say the v6 is not an available option for me right now. What I have right now is an afe dry air flow filter and 31 inch A/T tires. Much wider than my old stock skinny tires which I thought would hinder my 0-60 time of 12.5 seconds but the new tires are surprisingly lighter and gives me better grip to the wider contact patch so my new 0-60 times is 12.1-12-3, depending if I turn on auto lsd or not but I want to get the truck to at least 10-11 second 0-60. At first I wanted to put a magnaflow muffler along with headers but I did some research that adding a magnaflow will remove back pressure, losing low end torque which could hinder my acceleration? So I was thinking of keeping the stock exhaust, add the Doug Thorley tri-y headers and maybe a pedal commander. They didn't stop to think that maybe the brand new easy/intro champion should at the very minimum have same pickrate as other niche assasins as players should find immediate success when they pick her up Sure, there is truth to it, if Naafiri had a model that looked like the other darkin champions but female, she would have had higher pickrate but there are also tons of monster champions who are faring well in terms of popularity with much older kits and worse looking models. 3-Naafiri should have been allowed to jungle I can understand why not let her jungle at the first month or two as to push her identity as a mid laner or solo laner but once the dust settled down and mid laners voted with their pickrate that they don't want to play this absolutely boring kit, Riot should have immediately given some jungle ratios and see how she would fare in the jungle Riot literally buffed Sylas, Olaf, Zyra, Brand, Sett and others to push them to jungle and attract more pickrate for these champions, but the least popular champion in the game isn't looked at? I don't see any reason why Naafiri shouldn't have been allowed to jungle, Junglers are more receptacle to monster champions. If Naafiri would be problematic and get +30% banrate then sure remove her jungle modifiers but at the very least give it a shot and see if her dwindling playerbase would recover from its death spiral 4- Her kit has an identity issue as she plays like a skirmisher rather than an assassin -her engage ability [W] is a point and clash dash that has long channel time and can be blocked by other enemies standing in its path so her back line access is pretty shit specially the higher in MMR you go and enemy team has that knowledge. Diana E for example has the same range of Naafiri until Naafiri hits lvl 11 but she has no cast time and other champions can't block it the cast time of W gives too much counterplay, any champion with an ounce of hard CC can easily interrupt Naafiri mid dash [Hwei EQ, Syndra E, Lux Q, etc] compare that to the instanteous Diana dash's case where the enemy mid laner has to predict that Diana will dash and throw his CC early to stop Diana mid dash -she has no escape tools but to compensate she gets shields from her R + on her take downs as well -The bleed in her kit synergizes with Black Cleaver [Bruiser item] -So is she a good skirmisher? not really, she lacks any form of CC whether slows or hard CC, that greatly diminishes her skirmishing 5- The kit has nothing to master and the narrative is disconnected from the gameplay shes literally a nothing burger, she has no skill expression and she gets boring after the third game as her gameplay loop gets very repetitive and boring. her E is the only redeeming ability in her kit as she dishes out damage at start of the dash and then at the end of the dash, she deals even more damage in an explosion but the fun thing about the abilitiy is that it immediately recalls your dogs and heals them up her R is you get more dogs and bonus AD + shield, the cool part is that the dogs get a small boost in HP so they could survive getting one shot, I like that part the champion theme is the pack and half her voice lines are all about unity and how the pack makes her strong and that a lone dog is weak, etc. etc. where is that pack in her gameplay??? why don't her abilities get some twists depending on how many dogs she has? doesn't have to be more or less numbers in her damage but literally anything so maybe when I play Naafiri, Naafiri has the tools in her kit to protect and heal her pack and but she is punished for protecting her pups as she blows her mana, cooldowns, damage and her cooldown for literally no gain to reiterate, I don't say Naafiri should have been a high skill floor champion but there are lots of champions that have low skill floor and are newbie friendly but also moderate to high skill ceiling to encourage players to main them and not get bored after a few games. Closing notes: its a shame how Naafiri turned out, her in game model is cool and very different from your average league champion, the dogs AI is smart and I love that they can help you CS and they move smoothly around you, her R animation and sound really sells the whole unleash the pack vibe, the animators, riggers, vfx artists all did a wonderful job. but the gameplay is horrendous and she is doomed to be the lowest pickrate champ in the game unless she's balanced around having 52% WR and her pickrate will still be bottom 20 as you can't bribe players with winrate to play this boring ass champion No other newly released champion in League's history had their pickrate plummet this quickly and sharply after their release to understand how bad Naafiri pickrate is, it took Rell ~2 years after her release to get the midscope rework and Rell's pickrate pre midscope was higher than current Naafiri. |

I've had my 245 for a little over 3 years. It stills works great. Unfortunately, the other day the polymer base chipped away at the pin that holds the wristband. I've tried super glue and JB Weld with no luck. I am guessing I have no options at this point but to buy a new watch. If there is another way to fix this problem, I would appreciate your suggestions. If I have to purchase another watch, I want to stay with Garmin. I would prefer a metal case this time to avoid a problem in the future. It looks like all the Garmins are resin (plastic) bases. Seems like Garmin should look at this. Most of their competition offers a metal base at the mid to upper price range.

- being able to connect to the Internet for updates and to connect to friends
- hosting events to keep things new and interesting
- having games that only appear at certain times of the year
- having cute little events on certain days
- not enough games, like we really could do with some more mini games to pass the time
- it's also a shame the games end so quickly. I'd prefer it to be harder to get the points, and have the games last longer
- the annoying thing where you have to watch how to play the game every time you go on it - even a play again option to skip the intro would be better than this!
- I feel like the tamas grow up too fast. I think mine went through every life stage in like 3 days, which wasn't as fun as having to wait like a week or something to see them age
- the marriage thing is a little dull, would be good if you had to go on a few dates first and ask your potential lifelong partner some little questions or something
- the tamagotchi itself doesn't feel the best quality and scratches like nobodies business, it makes it hard to just clip it on your bag or whatever

Our approach to m+ and raids is chill and fun-first, while still striving to learn the strategies to beat the timers and clear the raids.
We are seeking like-minded folks who are still active in this last hurrah season 4. Tanks and healers are especially needed for our m+ and raid groups.

Many heroes buy blink dagger. But not everyone is and is not always ready to pay full price for it.
I suggest adding the BLINK SHARD item. Costs 1000 gold, has a radius slightly larger than that of the for staff. Otherwise it works like a regular blink (maybe a little longer cooldown). I know that this can overly strengthen previous blink hero users. Therefore, the Blink shard should not improve into a blink. Some heroes like Axe, Magnus, Puck will still choose to blink. And other heroes who did not always take it will take a blink shard (venomaser, lich, clowerk). Players will have to choose between blink and blink shard and this will diversify the gameplay.
Many hero picks do not do anything for some heroes who gain an advantage. Many picks cannot do anything to Bristleback, Phantom Assassin, Huskar, etc. Hero abilities can disable passives but not items. The only item against passives is silver. He is not convenient for many heroes; you cannot use an ability under his influence or collect him on a support.
I propose adding a new item that disables passives. Firewater. 4000 cost. Crafted from Wind Lace, Tiara of Selemene, Orb of Corrosion and a recipe. Gives item bonuses and has an active ability: you throw a bottle at a point, pouring the contents of the heroes in the area approximately like the old Omniknight aura, a debuff is hung on the heroes for 4 seconds (the next ability used in this hero will turn off the passive for 4 seconds and will cause periodic damage). Add an only mid game mode. As in lol. Only mid with towers and throne 5*5 heroes without forest and sides. This mode will replace turbo and make it easier for new players to enter Dota.
You can also add exploding fruits to the forest on both sides. They work like a sniper's grenade, scattering all heroes when attacking a fruit. Useful for constrictions and escape. Makes the gameplay more spectacular, let him throw the hero in all directions at the radius of a sniper’s grenade.
I think that Ancient Apparition's skills are outdated and do not fit into modern Dota.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge or insight into living next to a free range egg farm, and could tell us what it is actually like? My husband and I have just moved into a house with land mid last year, which is in a rural location in Scotland. There are farms etc around but mainly sheep, agriculture, outdoor cattle. We’ve just found out that the farmer who works the fields surrounding our house is submitting a planning application for a 35,000 hen free range egg facility about 350m from our house. There is nothing like this in the area and we are worried that it might devalue our house, smell bad, encourage flies and rats, be very noisy, produce dust and ammonia that will impact our health and pollute the watercourse that our dogs play in that runs across our land, which also runs past the proposed egg farm. I’ve read lots online and it’s a bit of a minefield.

My COD journey has been ….be trash for first 6 months, then start to get better until you are palying zombies and small map only. I started around .6 kd and I think I’m about 1.2 kd on small map….i wanna stretch my wings out a bit and play 6v6 core and 10x10 but I swear I am like a .5 kd at 10 x 10 which doesn’t make sense because a lot of people are just sitting there….yet I am getting flanked and losing mid range battles….any ideas for moving from small map mosh pit where I can jump and drop and die , respawn get 2 kills and die to 10 x 10….maybe I just need to rely on my minimap more and have better spawn awareness and get better with mid range guns…I run the bp50 bull pup mostly with an smg secondary but I have interstellar and almost borealis so I am familiar with most guns …thanks for reading this wall of text…help me not suck.
