Hi all! I wanted to share a funny series of events from me and my friend's DnD campaign. We're a good sized group; seven in total (including the DM). We've just finished our 8th session and we're playing through the Curse of Strahd.
None of us have played through a whole campaign before and only three of us have played some form of Dnd, being the DM, me (Elven FighteRogue) and our Tiefling Paladin (who is obsessed with BG3).
It was our third session and we'd been exploring the "Death House", though we decided to explore it in the most awkward. Way. Possible. Much to our DM's frustration.
First thing we did was go all the way upstairs.
For some character context, my character is from a noble family and the other players don't actually know his specific race, other than the Paladin and Bard, a Goblin-raised Human (who is my character's rival/love interest) as we have made some above-table plans.
Anyway, my character was the first to climb the stairs. The Bard decided to push my character out of the way so he could get there first, and my character pushed back because he's not gonna take that. This resulted in the two scuffling on the stairs until the Paladin pushed past them, with the Dragonborn Ranger and Gobin Cleric following close behind.
(This was before our sixth party member's first session.)
My character decided it's not worth it and went back downstairs.
The rest of the party got to the third floor, and found a suit of armour, when the Paladin brushed off some dust. This triggered combat that we were very unprepared for, and the Bard shrieked, which brought my character back upstairs in time to perform a sneak attack.
After we somehow survived the fight, we went back downstairs to the ground floor. We destroyed the cupboard with the health potions we were meant to find earlier (we smashed half of them) and I tried to take all three crossbows that were available even though my character could not carry one of them, largely just because OOC I didn't want the Paladin's player to get them for a platonic sibling rivalry reason, which led to the events that happened later on in the next session.
We eventually made it to the attic, somehow bypassing all the lore the DM had planned, and reached the basement without exploring the first or second floors.
We made it to the servants' quarters in the basement where we met our sixth party member (a Human Warlock), who hadn't played before and stayed quiet for most of the session. My character and hers only said their names to each other.
The Paladin, Bard and I went searching for loot in separate rooms while the Ranger and Cleric decided to check out the well. The Ranger was able to get the bucket off the pulley, and the Cleric volunteered to sit in it and be sent down. The DM kept trying to take their attention away from the well, but the Ranger's player accused her of keeping secrets and continued to send the Cleric down. The DM was sort of laugh-crying at this point.
Meanwhile, my character was searching through chests in the bedrooms. I found a coin pouch made of human skin, and the Paladin decided to grab him and started to DRAG him TO THE WELL. Obviously, I started to panic. I made a strength check to try and wriggle my way out, but the Bard decided TO HELP HER. So I failed my strength check. I tried again, but ended up failing that too, even without the Bard's interference. I tried to persuade the Paladin to let my character go, when the Cleric, who was already halfway down the well at this point, decided to yell up "I'll wave at you on your way down!"
At this point, my voice had gone up three octaves and I was actively trying to keep my guy alive and stay in character while I did it, which was hard bc I hadn't entirely figured him out yet, and also because the Paladin was trying to THROW HIM IN A WELL.
Eventually, I offered to pay her to NOT throw me in a well, to which she stopped and said "Give me the skin pouch."
For some reason. That sibling rivalry came back.
Instead of just giving it to her, I refused and she started dragging me to the well again. I freaked out again and started pleading with her, which she refused. The Bard and Ranger both told me to just give it to her. The Paladin reaches to pick my character up and I quickly changed my mind and said I'd give it to her, but asked if we could split the coin inside it.
I genuinely do not know why I did that.
She stopped and with a straight face said "Oh yeah, I don't care about the money, I just want the pouch."
My jaw dropped. Both me and my character yelled "That's all you wanted? The skin pouch!?" and she just replied "yeah, it's human skin?" like it was an obvious thing to want.
I gave it to her empty, while the Bard called me a rich boy or something, and my character kind of just collapsed from the stress.
The Cleric came back out of the well in a bucket full of "Goblin water", which he then tried to throw on my character. I dodged it, but the Bard saw that there was some left and successfully drenched my poor FighteRogue.
The Warlock then decided she wanted to try dry him.
So she hits with him Eldritch Blast.
Obviously, that's not how that works, so my poor, stressed, drenched Elf is not only mildly scared of the Paladin, but now also the Warlock, and is now hurt (I took 9 hit points).
We spent an hour at that well. The session ended about ten minutes later after fighting, killing and then havesting a Grick. (The Paladin ate the Grick meat next session and got poisoned, despite having normal rations. But not before she tried to keep said Grick as a pet.)
The sessions since have been the same level of chaos, but we're all clearly more comfortable with our characters so it's far more consistent. Hope you enjoyed this retelling as much as I have. I'm going to finish drawing up the comic of our game at some point so I'll hopefully have more wacky adventures to share.

TL;DR - selfish asshole of an older brother scams me and my parents out of $200.
Okay, so I’m not doing too well financially, but I live with my Mom and Pops so we try to make ends meet. A couple weeks back we were in such rough shape financially, that I had to juggle three day jobs just to cover rent and suppress the collector’s from knocking on the door regarding our collective debts. We so broke I literally can’t even afford to sleep because in the night=I can get freelance work done. “I can sleep when I’m dead,” has become my full-time motto (unfortunately). Anyways, to try to bring some income in my household I offer services as a freelance video editor.
A while back, my older brother (who’s a career criminal and has flee’d multiple countries when authorities were after him for violent offences) hit me up and asked if I’d be down to edit for him. I was hesitant at first, being as last time I heard from him was after he beat our Mum to a pulp when I was only 12. For context bro or sis, whoever you are that is reading this: if I was only three years older I wouldn’t have let that slide—I would have mobbed his ass right then and there, pinned him down and done him so fucking dirty… IDGAF if my 15 year old ass had gone to juvie for it, I would do anything for my mother, including take a life. But instead, all that’s been imprinted in my brain is how much of a bitch I was at 12–cowering under the dining table as he took multiple shots with a shoe, at our crying helpless mother on the ground.
Anyways it’s been a few years, I’m 24 now and he gave me a big sob story how he has changed. I bought it up like the good little sheeple I am… started editing for him under the guise that he’d pay me $200 per video: SCORE! That’s a lot of money!!!
I got to know his business (shady as fuck) and got to find out he now dreams of being a finance influencer (double shady) but alas, he’s my big bro and no matter what wrong-doing he’s doing, he convinced me that he was a good man. Ight, bet, I’ma edit for him and make some money for the fam! In between his ‘takes’ of videos he sends me, I piece together that his “wife” films the videos, and he’s still an extremely abusive person. He tries not to let it show on camera, but I’m really good with people, emotions and hidden trauma so I can feel the sickening ‘abuser-of-people’ energy SEEPING off of him, still, to this day. I feel sick to my stomach editing for him, but shit, he’s promised me $200 per video. Over the course of a few weeks I can see why he never told us about his wife, it seems he keeps her pent up somewhere in Georgia, Batumi, and forces her to do whatever he wants. He once referred to her as “his slave” which I originally thought was A JOKE, but now in the grand scheme of things… I don’t think it was a joke. I pray that authorities get to them before he does something to her, but idek where to begin to put a ‘concerned citizen tip’ in a foreign country.
Some context as to why I put up with all the red flags: Mom’s not working as she has to take care of the house and she’s also trying to make money online, any ways possible. She’s starting to sell her favourite clothes. It fucking breaks my heart that I can’t do shit about it… at 24 years old, with all the social media influencing and advertising, I feel like garbage that I can’t fully support my parents… at least not yet! Dad is constantly depressed because he’s almost 80 years old and can’t retire ‘cuz my parent’s are in too much debt.
Okay, anyways, three BIG videos done for him (by big, I mean I spent +8 hours on each vid) and brother’s paid me for ONE via PayPal… no worries, he keeps leading me on saying the money will come, the money will come. And PayPal says I got $200 coming my way from him! Uhh ight, bet? Mind you, I start PLANNING my life around this $200 notification because that’s a hot stack for me and my family!!! Takes PayPal about 20 days to actually let me use the money… ridiculous because we NEEDED it… but that’s okay, I work around the problems in life, much like we all have to.
Here comes the turning point: I’m a little overworked and a little coo-coo sometimes, and one night I start telling him personal shit, kinda pouring out my heart to him, venting almost. I don’t really remember about what, just life I guess, nothing negative towards him. Somehow he misconstrues it, gets upset with me, and ‘tells me off.’ I get upset with him, tell him his business is a sham and I’ma change the rules that we agreed upon. Since his fake-ass can’t pay me what was agreed upon, (maybe $200 is a lot for him, as well) so I ask him if we can do $10 per hour instead. I pitch to him that moving forward, anytime I edit more than five hours ($50), I will refuse to edit until the money gets sent. The conversation turns hostile, QUICK. He calls me a ton of bad names with an underlying message that I’m the biggest loser on earth for pursuing a dream in working in Entertainment & he ends it with a sweet “you’ll never be anything.” LOL WHAT? Completely out of pocket and out of left field, so naturally, I tell him to eat shit, I won’t be doing anymore free work and he can pay me a mere $30 (yes, thirty dollars) for the entire portfolio of audios, texts/scripts, videos, and clips I’ve taken from the internet that ‘match’ the vibe he wants in his videos.
Context: at this point I’ve completed SIX FULL VIDEOS FOR THIS DUDE and he’s only paid me the one payment of $200. Not good at maths? Me neither, lemme help you out. He owes me $1,200 from our original agreement because I’ve spent more than 48 collective hours working on his videos, and he’s only paid me $200. But I tell him: I’ll let it all slide if he pays me $30 for the portfolio of about 50 gigabytes, and then moving forward, he’d pay me the $10 per hour if he wanted more content from me. He already has the six full videos in his possession. The ‘portfolio’ is stuff I’ve found that’s free-use on the internet, stuff that I’ve compiled, and even some scripts that I’ve written out! ALL MINE that I did for HIS business. So it seems logical for me to give this portfolio as an option, just incase he wants to say nah moving forward on me editing for him, and just take the material & go our separate ways…
In response, my (35 year old) brother files a complaint on PayPal claiming he only hired me for a channel encompassing trailer that I did not provide and that I’m attempting to extort him for more money. LOL, WHAT? PayPal’s like BET and automatically attempts to deduct from MY chequing account, without even getting to the bottom of it. Obviously doesn’t work, my account (not PayPal account, my fucking bank account. these mf so overzealous that they reached right into my mf pocket!!!!) gets put in the negatives and I attempt to appeal, with no sweat on my brow ‘cuz I’m like no way PayPal finna let this slide. I then proceed to message my terrible relative multiple times, with texts, videos and audio recordings and I’m in a hysterical mess. I begin threatening him, I begin begging to him, pleading with him, saying anything under the sun just for the hope that he has some heart and would send back the $200 if PayPal does end up taking it from me. Already my chequing was fricked but I could do some damage control… I was cocky, thinking PayPal would obviously side with me once they heard the whole story, so I also told him since he’s caused such pain for me out of absolutely nothing, like completely unprovoked, then shit: I want the original $200 PLUS an extra $200 for all this trauma. He responds by blocking me on everything. It’s 4 A.M. and I’m shaking as I’m typing this…
Somehow after all the information I provided, PayPal sides with him. Wow, wait, what? PayPal has since tried to deduct my PERSONAL CHEQUING ACCOUNT multiple times in order to fish back the $200 which I ALREADY HAD TO USE!!! Idk if you ever had a payment tried to be taken out of an account which already has a negative balance, but the payment doesn’t go (it does a minus then a plus) but usually the bank is like WTF and charges you fees. Multiple times = Multiple fees…
Before, I was in the negatives on my ONE chequing account I own… now I’m in the NEGATIVE-NEGATIVES… no clue how tf I’ma get out of it, but we all persevere eventually! I’ve reached out to PayPal but I’m almost sure nothing will come of it.. I’m considering taking PayPal to small claims court to somehow try to fix all this mess, but I fear it’ll break me off more trouble than repair anything. If you want to DM me, I’ll gladly give you my brother’s socials to send a report to his accounts on Instagram or TikTok, or even leave him a not-so-nice comment if you’d like. Also let me know if you know how I can get in contact with the authorities in the country of ‘Georgia.’

Hey reddit, for fathers day I want to get my dad a 'Hero Forge' print of his favorite WoW characters. Thing is I don't entirely know what it looks like. Short of trying to log onto his account (which I would like to avoid) how can I get a look at the character. I do know the character name - not particularly sure on the domain/realm but is it just best to do trial and error to find it. Can I go onto realms and search up other players character names if I install the game?
Any help would be appreciated :)

I'm old enough that I watched early ANTM cycles as they aired on network TV. When Cycle 7 aired, the only thing I knew about Nigel Barker was that he was supposedly a noted fashion photographer (whatever that means). Then came the episode where CariDee asked Nigel if he had pulled the matador stick out of his ass after panel. Obviously not a great thing to say to a judge, and that probably should be addressed, but the whole thing is blown so out of proportion. The way it was edited, you then see Nigel immediately walking away as if the comment caused him to completely leave the area. And because it was network TV, there was then a commercial break, making the whole thing more dramatic.
Then Mr. Jay lectures CariDee (and the other contestants). Melrose talks about what a huge deal the comment was. The whole thing completely infects the shoot. Then at panel, CariDee has to read a note of apology she wrote. Then Tyra and Nigel both lecture CariDee some more. When CariDee's name is called, Tyra tells her it's only because Nigel "forgave" her. They then cut to Nigel sitting there looking like somebody was literally in the process of putting a stick up his ass. Because Nigel apparently got to decide whether CariDee was eliminated, the whole thing gives off the impression that Nigel dictated the entire overreactive response, including the multiple lectures/apology note.
I know now that Nigel laughed at the comment, and the show was just edited to make it look like he threw a tantrum. But for YEARS I assumed that he was the least funny, most overreacting dude. If I saw a stick, I would think of him.
I feel like this is one of the unfair edits nobody talks about, because nobody really cares about Nigel. But wow, in one episode, they really made him look the prissiest person ever.

TLDR: I guess you can say I'm still in the tutorial?
I had a decently well going volcano fortress with everyone having their own bedroom, chest and cabinet
lots of guests came over to enjoy my inn and library, and for a while nothing worse than werebeasts and goblins happened - it sucked a bit to have to exile everyone who got bitten, but I'm not taking any risks, and luckily the potentially worst incident when a guest was a werechameleon ended with only one casualty and two exiles
but then my first forgotten beast (for this fortress) attacked and showed me that crossbows are hella useful
it was a blob of fire and it drained a quarter of a lake simply by climbing into it and then running around in it for a while
when I tried to fight it my melee dwarfs couldn't, so I named a random guy captain and gave him my hunter as a sidekick, the captain fired two shots, then got set ablaze by the counter attack, then the hunter came and fired a single shot, winning the fight
I tried to expand the fortress a bit and fix the lack of equipment and untrained guards when suddenly a second beast appeared, a fire-breathing winged snake
technically it could be hurt, but it was fast af and killed several guards before being hurt bad enough to bleed badly
so I told the guards to book it, only for more and more people to run towards the beast to reclaim the dropped equipment, which is when I retired the fortress
So:
I now know how libraries and inns work, since I gave them a try this run and I will know better next time and actually train a team of crossbowmen to hopefully be able to deal with any future encounters that hard counter melee combatants
also I'm gonna try and create those burrow things so I can tell everyone to run to the save room and not come out until it's save
man, it will suck going back to wood and charcoal after having a volcano for smelting and smithing XD
lets hope the next map has lots of stone coal

Hey, so I was very excited for cata launch I pre-leveled, pre BIS my char for cata launch, months before.
I even bought cataclysm mount since I thought it's limited edition, and looks kinda nice, something I never do with microtransactions. But since all the BC, Wotlk mounts got dicontinued I thought to get in, before it's gone. And 35$ for a mount lol, I could get a game on release on steam for that.
But then I saw asmongold video about them releasing in-game store on cata/(possibly SoD i guess?),
and there they were the "limited edition" mounts.
Is it just blizzard that don't want to keep limited edition sacred? I love getting limited edition fomo things in games usually in-game achievable
I don't see any future for wow anymore, the LAZY greed blizzard has, i don't wanna play it even.
1st. GREED because in-game store,
2nd. LAZY they couldn't make different store mounts with all their huge budget, they couldnt afford to give 1 developer to develop on weekend a new mount, no they had to use the ones that people bought heroic whatever editions for.
It feels like WoW has no future how much they're milking and squeezing it, with dying playerbase and no younger generations trying it. There's no point to even grind mop to get "limited edition" mounts skins etc.
Now I can't even find a motivation to pay for sub, I honestly just wanna go play OSRS, FF14 or whatever else.
Is it just me that feels this way from cata in-game store? Like the whole disguisting greed, breaks immersion so no limited edition mount or whatever grindable in game or not has any meaning anymore.

With the release of World of Warcraft Cataclysm, the official Blizzard API is now returning pvp leaderboard data...which means now I can show a proper leaderboard for the various brackets.
This data is from the currently returned data from WOTLK which will reset on May 28th when the season officially launches.
Right now there is no Rated Battleground bracket, because there is no data coming back from blizz...yet. Hopefully after the weekly reset some data will start coming back for that.
Currently, it shows a table of the top 1k rated players for a bracket, and shows race and class breakdowns for the top 5k rated players for a given bracket. The leaderboard data coming from blizzard doesn't directly return race/class data, so I'm having to fetch that separately, so if you see rows with a blank race or class, that is why. That info will fill in over time as player data is more fully populated.

Brand new WoW player here. I've made a character in retail, MoP remix, and hardcore classic all with a few hours of gameplay but not sure where to go from here.
I enjoyed hardcore classic as I had a few close calls with death in the open world and leveling felt impactful. MoP I was enjoying just doing dungeons to level up in but it felt too easy. I believe there where heroic dungeons but haven't had a chance to try them out. Retail I wasn't enjoying the leveling process. Overworld was too easy and I couldn't find a group for dungeons. I really wanted to experience the end game since that I enjoy playing through difficult content so not sure where to go from here.
Also saw that cataclysm expansion just came out for classic but not sure what that entails. With all the different version of the game, what are the major differences?

Couldn't find a clear way to define and search this to work out if it's a known and solved problem or what have you, so here goes.
My partner and I played the game on PC launch completely through in split screen co-op. At some point, the game seemed to be having my character taking point on major conversations, especially as we got into the second half of the game. My partner couldn't shake the feeling that they were the sidekick, and it did impact their enjoyment, frequently not even appearing in major cutscenes.
At the time, we'd chalked it up to the game assigning my character as primary, as it was my character's name on the save file. We figured that when we played a new game, as we have started recently, we would simply make sure my partner makes their character first and saves to ensure it's their name on the campaign.
We did so with them making a Durge and I a Tav, and no issues seemingly until the start of act 2, where the transition cutscene from the mountain pass where a goblin welcomes you on arrival seems to auto select my character as the speaker - further along the same thing happens when conversation triggers while escorting the convoy. The only way we could get the game to instead select my partner's durge was if I disconnected and we kicked my tav to the wardrobe.
Is there any clear understanding at this point about how the game selects speakers? Our settings are set to 'avatar only', but this doesn't help much when conversations trigger that we didn't initiate. It seems like the logic for who speaks changes on a case by case basis, but its definitely frustrating to both of us when we are hoping for this to be a durge-led campaign, and the durge gets sidelined whenever we aren't the ones to initiate the conversation.
I was hoping there was a mod or something similar to let you cycle who the speaker is mid conversation, but no such luck. Does anyone know how to address this or can affirm that we aren't going nuts?

So i went to a manga event in my country a couple of years ago and what i discover was mind blowing (in a bad way).
I live in a small ass, slow ass third world country and i went to a manga event that was organized at a cultural center downtown of the city a reside in, what i discover was just wow, those guys were normies (in mangas/animes speaking), like the things they knew was like Naruto, Dragon Ball and or even One Piece or Bleach. I was flabbergasted to see such little knowledge about other shit like it was embarrassing, asking them about Re zero, Grand blue, Overlord shit even classics like GTO, Monster or Hunter X, it was like talking to a toddler about the banking system or how American sports leagues signs new or deals players. I mean those blokes had the audacity to host a manga event and there were no entertainment, no cosplay or even at least organising a anime op and ending contest, when i said it was wrong to not do anything to a FREAKING MANGA EVENT!; i was treated like weirdo. At the end they ended up watching some Naruto, one piece, an DBZ movies and that was it, there were even some Pixar an Disney fans who thought mangas were like the animation that we see in previously said movies and you guys know what i had a good time actually discussing with them than these so called "Fans" and don't even get me started about if they knew Manhwas or Manhuas because shit when i told them South Korea and China made their own stuff i was met with laughter. None the least I'm planning on returning this year and see if they gotten their priorities straight.
Ps:Also if you are wondering i did offer to help them with stuff, i mean i had a 1080p movies like Totoro, Your Name etc , but they decline it saying they don't need it , i told them in no way i would take their place of leading the thing, that i just wanted to help so that people discover new things and creating entertainment but they still said no telling me that all the thing that I'm talking about, they are not interested.
Ps: i have nothing about the big 3 or the other shonens i mentioned before is just when you go to such event is to talk about the winter, spring , summer and fall releases or other things in that manner rarely the big 3 is talked about.

What is Prediction League?
Prediction League is a fan-run competition, where each month people try to predict which games will be in the upcoming Humble Choice. Every user can guess up to 15 games and the highest price of one of them. Submissions are then scored based on the criteria below, and at the end of the season, the best players will become known throughout the land, with prizes for top scorers to be disbursed at the end of season.

If you haven't played this season before, please read the short Rules and Scoring lists below so you are familiar with the new additions. Total Bundle Value, Number of Games, Highest Game Price and extra points for round winners have been removed. Scoring for this season is automatically calculated with results published the day of choice.

Rules:
Post a maximum of 15 game predictions. If you post more, only the first 15 posted will count, even if you predicted a game as your #16. Please, make sure to spell game names correctly. Otherwise, they might get overlooked by the search function. All versions of a game, like standard and deluxe, will be considered to be the same. If a Choice includes a deluxe version, you don't lose or gain points for not guessing it was the deluxe. Feel free to edit your comment at any time, but not later than a week after the Prediction League was posted. If you guessed a leaked game before the leak happened, your guess(es) will remain valid and will still count for points. If you submit your prediction after the leak or edit your comment to include a leaked game, those games will not count for any points. Purposely using leaked games may also remove your previous points from the leaderboard.
 
Scoring:
Each correctly predicted game is worth 2 points. Predicting three or more games in a single round is worth 2 additional points. Being the only person to correctly predict a game is worth 1 point. Predicting a game in the same series as one included in choice is worth 1 point. For example, guessing Dark Souls II will grant 1 point if Dark Souls III is in Choice. However guessing Sekiro does not grant a point if Elden Ring was included, since they don't share a name.
 
Tips
Look at past Humble Choices and recent bundles. Humble doesn't usually repeat these games, so they don't make for good guesses. Look for recent freebies on sites like Epic or Amazon Games. Many games have been given away there, and then go to Humble a couple months later. Games that have gone on sale recently. Think big and small! Humble Choice headlines some large titles, but also includes smaller indies. New releases probably won't be included, think of titles released a year or two back. When in doubt, copium. If you've run out of ideas, you could put games from your wishlist and hope they appear in Choice.

Alright, so… I (18F) kinda made this reddit account just to get some feedback about this situation, since I’m too ashamed to ask my parents. The girl in question is 16, and is probably one of the most annoying people I’ve ever met…
(TLDR: This girl I was pretending to be friends with in High School obsessively fantasized about murdering someone for an entire semester, is overbearing as a person, interrogates people on a daily basis and is nosy, injects herself into drama that isn’t her own, throws temper tantrums when she doesn’t get her way, constantly touches people and makes unwarranted comments about girl’s bodies, asked me to draw CP for her, and MADE FUN OF HER SUICIDAL BROTHER. And I wrote a hate-letter telling her that all of this stuff is a problem, but now I feel bad about it because I think she might actually have mental issues. It’s a really wild ride and a long story, so if you choose to read it, you should expect to be here for a while. And it’s High School drama, so I’ll try to discard the boring details.)
There’s this girl, who… I’ll call her Storm. You’ll find out why. Storm quickly became the most annoying person in one of my classes. Any time she talked, she didn’t have anything interesting to say, but just kept going on and on and on endlessly. It was annoying, but we just kinda played along to be nice.

Well… Around a month into school, Storme started opening up and became comfortable talking about personal topics. She told us this story about how one of her other friends (I’ll call her Katie) “betrayed” her the previous year, and then went on to talk about how much she hated Katie and didn’t care if she lived or died. (Honestly, Katie’s offense was miniscule. At most, she replaced Storm with someone else as her best friend. You know… Regular High School drama that wasn’t that deep.) 

Then Storme started saying ludicrous stuff like “I hope she falls into a volcano”, or “I hope she gets eaten by sharks falling from the sky. Like Sharknado.”. But like… She kept saying it constantly, out loud in class. She ranted about how she wanted Katie to get kidnapped by the Mafia, be flown up to the moon, and be dropped into a black hole to become “Katie-spaghetti”. It was honestly really funny at first, so me and a few other people in the class joined in a little bit and added our own stupid, childlike scenarios. (Katie has a reputation for being… A slut. That’s why it was funny at first.)
But then after this schtick got old, Storm just kept going and going and going… She ranted about Katie until it physically hurt to hear her talk anymore. Instead of adjusting herself like a normal person, she just kept yapping until everyone rolled their eyes every time she opened her mouth, because we knew she would just keep going on and on about all of the stupid ways she wanted Katie to die. Even the damn teacher told her to stop doing that, but she never listened and the teacher eventually just gave up.
Katie then gradually started to get more morbid with the things she was saying, to the point where I genuinely considered calling the cops and getting this girl some grippy socks. She talked until she became red-faced, started tweaking, and laughed in a neurotic, nervous angry way while she started wringing out her trembling hands. She genuinely looked and sounded unhinged, and what didn’t help was that she started saying stuff like “There aren’t metal detectors in this school, right?”, and “I wish I wasn’t such a good person, because if I wasn’t, I’d be acting on my impulse to cave her skull in the next time I see her. One of these days I’m going to snap and then just do it..” …Yeah, so I was genuinely considering getting the police involved in this because of those two sentences. Thankfully Katie is safe and sound to this day and Storm never acted on these “impulses”. I’m so glad it worked out that I didn’t have to call the cops, but I was seriously worried for a minute…
She continued to talk about Katie, but mostly to me. She talked about this topic endlessly, her words getting increasingly violent until Christmas break. Yeah… 5 months. She ranted about the ways she wanted Katie to die for 5 whole months. Months. But then when she was done ranting, she finally shut up.
She wrote a note to Katie after Christmas break explaining “You hurt me really badly, but I’m a Christian so I forgive you and I hope you the best”... As if she didn’t rant about her for 5 months straight. Make it make sense. But enough about that. Here’s where my fuck ups began.
I gave her my number and we started saying we were friends, even though I never liked her. I started sending her some art (I'm an artist), and she started asking me some questions about it. She asked if I had ever drawn p0rn in my life. Of course, I said no because I didn't.
And then my worst nightmare: “Have you ever drawn p0rn of them?” …Of course I didn’t, because that would be CP… Plus I’ve never thought of those characters as being “sexual”... They’re literally 14 and 15 years old.
Then basically, she made an indirect “suggestion” for me to draw them together. I said fuck no. Hell fucking no. She tried to convince me to draw them “aged up”, but again I refused. She put me off from drawing those characters ever again. I haven’t drawn them since and I don’t take my sketchbook to school anymore because I don’t want her to see my drawings and be reminded of that BS.
But enough about that… Storm is a church-going girl, and so she has a few church-going friends. (This also makes everything I’ve said before all the more ironic.).
I’ve heard many stories about how Storm interrogates other people, too. If she sees a guy/girl’s name pop up on the screen of someone she knows, she’ll pester them until they give her one of two answers: either “I’ll tell you later”, or the actual answer. She’s done that to me too, in front of everyone in class.
The thing that upsets me about this is that she claims to be “nosy”, but thinks it’s a positive attribute rather than an annoying one. She brags about being “nosy” sometimes.
And the sexual assault… Since we were in a sports medicine class, our projects involved a lot of hands-on things. That didn’t bother me by itself, but with Storm, it was a nightmare. This girl, in the process of strapping an ice bag to my thigh, called my thighs “small”, and said that I have a “beautiful body”. We also did shoulder stretching stuff the next week, and I happened to fall under her care while she stared into my eyes and made weird faces at me, all the while she made sound effects and made the process much more uncomfortable than it needed to be.
One week, we ended up as partners again and she ended up wrapping my shoulder. This shoulder-wrap wasn’t an issue for me, but having her as a partner made it an issue. As expected, she made sound effects, but this time she stated the obvious as if it was new information that nobody would have ever suspected: “Wow, this is squishing your boobies huh?”... Emphasis on the word “boobies”. Jesus Fucking Christ, it was already awkward as hell before she even brought that up, why would she say something like that?? I didn’t even realize that until she brought it up.

In fear of being subjected to her uncomfortable BS again and feeling violated, I texted her and told her that she’s been making me feel uncomfortable, and to please stop being so…. Weird. I get it’s an awkward thing to wrap up your classmate’s thigh, but that’s a moment to keep comments to yourself. Her response? “I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY I’M SORRY-” Just… Stop it. I didn’t introduce the topic as a big deal and told her not to worry about it, but she kept apologizing for it nonstop. Just endlessly, like everything else. Even when I tried to change the subject to something else, she just kept apologizing for it practically until she went to bed. (She has a bedtime at 9:30… At 16 years old.) All of this stuff contributed to my overall hatred toward her. I don’t like her at all, and it’s a wonder I didn’t explode and insult her entire personality and deplorable behavior to her face (Meg Griffin style). Things are just so awkward and awful whenever she opens her mouth, and it just doesn't ever stop. But because of all of this, when it came time for my Senior prom, I decided to secretly invite one of my friends from that class as a plus one, and NOT Storm. I was worried that if I told her that to her face, I would all of a sudden be the new “Katie” in her conversations, because the infraction Katie did was so miniscule that it seemed to be less like a “betrayal” than what I did. (In hindsight, it was probably the other way around.) So… I just kept the whole thing to myself and so did the friend I took to prom (I’ll call her Beyonce. Because… She loves Beyonce.). If this wasn’t bad enough, strap in because not even three weeks ago, Beyonce was doing her usual schtick of making fun of random things. She once made fun of cool whip and the entire state of Texas at the same time and somehow made it make perfect sense. She should really have a comedy show, I swear. But this time, Beyonce was making fun of the name “Gage”, saying “Why would anyone name their kid after a 12-gage shotgun?” and “People named Gage seem untrustworthy. I wouldn’t want to be near one in a zombie apocalypse, because he’d just feed me to those fuckers.”. Funny stuff. Storm then said “My brother’s name is Gage”, and in order to preserve the flow of the conversation (and also to tick her off a little, I’m ngl), Beyonce asked her: “Is your brother untrustworthy?” And then without a single millisecond wasted, she said, in a Disney Channel comedy fashion: “Welll… We can’t trust him with his own life, sooo…”.. And then she laughed as if it was funny. Like.. Rib-stitches type of laughing. ….So then the others (understandably) went quiet, which left only me and her. Then my idiot ass decided to say what I was thinking at that moment: “You don’t seem to be taking it seriously. That’s your brother, but you don’t sound sympathetic at all.” I felt bad for that statement, so I apologized for it over text when I got home from school. Quickly, we erupted into an argument, (with me holding back), and she ended up saying “What does it matter to you? He’s not your brother. If Beyonce said that about her brother, you’d laugh. But when I do, it’s bad.”. Beyonce’s brother is 8 years old…. So no, that would be even worse. …So then I had to explain to her how human decency works, and how making fun of your s*icidal siblings isn’t funny whatsoever and how that joke could be considered to be in very poor taste, even for people who like dark humor. When me, Beyonce or Mark made “suicide” jokes, it was about OURSELVES and it was usually in a statement like “I don’t want to take a test next period, I’m gonna kms.”... …Storm ended up getting so mad that we weren’t having a conversation anymore; we were just throwing shit around. I told her that if she was being livestreamed at that moment, she’d be bashed on the whole internet for a week or so and be called “evil” for that joke. In hindsight I shouldn’t have said that, but my goal was to tell her how people perceive those jokes. I ended the conversation and the next day, I apologized to her again. I retracted my statements and told her that I was sorry for talking out of line. She accepted the apology, and things went back to “normal”. She forgot about it, but I didn’t. …So here are the reasons why I feel bad, before I delve into the contents of the “hate letter” I wrote to her. Here’s a list of my crimes: 

• I pretended to be her friend for an entire school year.
• I hid the fact that I was going to prom with Beyonce from her, and then lied to her face repeatedly whenever she asked if I went to prom or not.
• I got into business that wasn’t my own and criticized her.
• I wrote a hate-letter to her that I directed her to read at home on the last day of school.

…Here’s why I feel bad: Storm doesn’t seem to be emotionally intelligent and is unable to control her mouth whenever she feels strong emotions. All she wants is to be listened to and understood, but nobody can and nobody truly wants to. She feigns confidence and goes overboard with compliments in the hopes of catching the attention of people who want to be friends with her. She’s not used to change and is very naive, to the point where (just yesterday) she quit her job at a fast food restaurant after only the first day of working there. For the longest time she didn’t have access to the internet, so she doesn’t really have a means to connect with other people through sharing videos or memes or whatever.

…I feel like a bad person because I knowingly, intentionally played into all of this just for the pathetic reason of making her shut up in class. It’s despicable what I did, and I’m beating myself up for it every day. I was just originally going to leave the school, block her and never talk to her ever again in my life, but when she made that joke about her brother, I decided (stupidly) to take it upon myself to be the bearer of bad news. I gave her a letter. Within the “hate letter”, it isn’t actually hate, per se. It’s more like… A report on the behavior she needs to fix, as well as an admission to my lies over the course of this whole year. I told her the awful truth. I told her about everything I mentioned in this post and tried to keep it “professional”, though I did end up going as far as to say “you have all of the attributes of an obnoxious piece of stale bread”........... And what’s worse is… I told her to read it on the last day of school, and my reasoning is pathetic at best. I told her to read it on the last day of school because I didn’t want her to burden the class with her nonstop ranting about me, since she, Mark and Beyonce are sophomores and I’m the only senior in the “friend group”, which means that I left the school an entire week earlier than them. I’ve been intentionally delaying her pain and still talking to her over text acting like things are “normal” so that she doesn’t read it early, knowing damn well that on that last day of school, my words are going to hurt her so badly that she might not be able to recover for a while. In the letter, I told her that by the time she reads it, I would have already blocked her because I don’t want any more conversation with her due to me feeling so bad and having nothing more to say. If the plan goes right, she’ll read it on May 23rd, and on that day I will block her. I feel awful for all of this. I feel like a monster for this. It’s painful knowing that I’m going to cause her pain and that I planned when it’s going to happen, but at the same time I feel like she deserves it. But at the same time, I know damn well that it wasn’t my place to do that. I should have left everything alone. Nobody I can talk to irl would even hear me out; they’d just stop at the words “hate letter”, which means my only option is to seek advice from people on Reddit. Do my motives for doing things make sense? Am I actually a bad person for this? Am I the asshole? Does she deserve what she’s getting?

I think it’s a good time for people to revisit some of Min Heejin’s previous personal and creative choices. When you see everything together it no longer looks like a couple of coincidences but a long leading pattern of behavior

Our youngest member is cool and sophisticated. She came to my home one day and we ate together, went to the bookstore, and walked around the neighborhood, talking about this and that. There was a passing awkwardness, but after a while it felt like I was taking a walk with a friend. She’s got so many talents and amazing skills. She’s young, but thoughtful, with that innocence they have at that age. I still remember bathing in her refreshing energy, and the sublime weather only added to the effect.

I’m sure Bethanny has been discussed 1 million times on here already but I’m a first time RHONY watcher so… Before watching this show, I knew OF the RHONY cast housewives lightly just because I watch a good number of bravo shows so their names are not new to me. Bethenny is arguably one of the biggest names of the franchise and Bravo itself, so I came in with high hopes while watching her, the opposite for Ramona whose reputation precedes her.
(I’d like to state I’ve been watching the show in a weird order Lol, I watched season 1 -4, then Seasons 10-11, now I’m on season 8, just finished season 7)
Bethenny is probably the most unlikable housewife I’ve watched in a while. WOW. Like on par with Gizelle Bryant unlikeable. I’m shocked lol. I did NOT know she acted like this.
She reminds me of an Older Lala Kent (VPR) of some sort. False sense of Know-it-all-ism, unnecessarily Loud, distastefully sarcastic and distasteful humor, a false sense of being Queen B, mannerless and talks WAY too much. I think I even like Lala more. Like WOW guys, I am actually really surprised. She talks to people very rudely, I can imagine how many people she’s rubbed the wrong way from their first impression. I find her extremely delusional and NOT self aware. (Not even like Luann in her cabaret era). She’s extremely condescending- she talks ALOT, like ALOT. The worst part is it seems everyone just lets her be so disrespectful and intrusive lol, no wonder Carole said in that reunion “are you scared of her too?” They REALLY do act as if they’re scared of her. She is probably my least favourite on the show currently. Love me some Sonja and Luann, I also REALLY like Dorinda because she seems VERY intolerable to their bullshit, despite her clear alcohol issues lol.
Anyways I’m wondering how Bethanny got to be a fan favourite because I cannot stand watching her. She’s extremely unlikeable. Funny enough I never expected Ramona to be more likeable but she is.
Imagine I’m on Season8 where Jules calls her out for speaking on her ED, and Bethany starts screaming at her and makes this about herself lol, like what am I watching right now.
