This link: https://nyaa.si/view/1688075, has funimation's subtitles up until somewhere in 2023. You do NOT need to torrent it. Just download the 2 files. You can search (crtl+f) the full list also on the link in the page. That ones that have CC at the end are the dubtitles (Closed Captions).
The files are in .vtt format so you need to convert them to .srt or .ass. I recommend Subtitle Edit and/or Aegisub. You will probably need to sync the subs if you are watching a Bluray release as the Funimation subs have the Funimation intro (5-6 seconds), which makes the subs start later. After converting and syncing you can merge them into the video file with MKVtoolNix. All of these applications are safe. You can search on reddit for proof.

Assuming that animals communicate, Muhammad asked the donkey: “What is your name?”
“My name is Yazid ibn (son of) Shihab” said the donkey.

The donkey added: “Allah had brought forth from my ancestry 60 donkeys, none of whom were ridden on except by prophets.”

The sad thing about all this is that Ya'foor went to hell for committing suicide. It seems that the donkey wasn’t told that committing suicide is a sin that leads to hellfire!

I've gotten the idea in my head that I want to read a book where two people are forced into an engagement/marriage (could be for any reason but maybe to save a kingdom) but one of the parties thinks they are better than the other. Maybe one is of a higher social status (prince marrying a queen for ex.). The thing is the person that thinks they are better than the other lets that sentiment be known explicitly and this is something that the couple will have to get past before the inevitably fall in love. I imagine this as a fantasy but I'm open to other cross genres (scifi, historical for ex). Thanks in advance for suggestions.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year now and together for over two years. We’ve had our ups and downs but I feel like I have always been the one making sacrifices for his bad behavior and habits. He’s been abusive (emotionally and slightly physically when drunk) but I still refuse to let go even when I know he isn’t treating me how I deserve to be treated. I’ve always been extremely attached to him however even before we were dating. Even nights before we were dating when I’d see him kissing someone else or he’d still be hanging out with his ex I’d be so angry in the moment but still feel that pull to him and I’d end up getting drunk or using drugs to fight that feeling of wanting to cling to him even when he was hurting me only to come back to him in the end and destroy myself for him. When we started dating and moved in together he still saw his ex and there were rumors of him cheating but I still could not let go of him. I get irrationally angry when ever he goes out with people other than me or has a life outside of me and know I shouldn’t be angry at him simply hanging out with friends but it was still there and I’d still act irrationally. The other day, in a fit of rage at work and over text, I told him I was packing up my stuff and leaving knowing I was only doing it to see his reaction. To see if he would accept it or let me go even though I know that leaving is what’s best for me and I’ve been wanting to put myself in a better situation. When the time comes to actually leave I never do it. My emotions are so up and down and all over the place all the time causing a lot of conflict between us because I will get irrationally angry at random things and have a lot of trouble letting go. He got a DUI this year after I continuously told him his behavior would lead to that and that his drinking made me very uncomfortable. Now he’s struggling to come to terms with the restrictions of that and what it means for his life but there’s only so much I can support and put up with. I am finally moving back home to help myself out financially and emotionally but I don’t know how to let go of him and to leave him. I feel like he won’t stay loyal when I’m gone, and he has trouble controlling his emotions and acting impulsively. He lacks maturity, is unable to ever admit when he’s in the wrong or straight up apologize and he will yell at me, blame me when I’m trying to bring up an issue with him, and curse me out. But I still have that gut wrenching feeling when I try to leave him that it isn’t right that I need him and he needs me and I’d rather go down with the ship than do better for myself. Even talking about everything he’s done to me and every rude daily daily behavior I would still do anything for him and in the moment I’m in a rage but after I’m still upset but that attachment to him is stronger. How do I let go? How do I do better for myself when I have no desire to feel any better.

TICKET SALES THREAD
I'm only allowed two sticky posts and it gets annoying that I can't do ticket sales, lineup and have somenthing open in case of a good cause or getting some ama in the future or something. Furthermore, the sale thread gets cluttered and either no one is selling their tickets ever or they are ignoring the tread rules and never delete their sale comment after they sell their ticket.
A few options I see are:
1: Remove ticket sales thread all together and just use rule 2 to direct people to the facebook page for ticket sales.
2: Do a cleanup every few weeks where I delete all comments over a few weeks old to clean up the thread
Which option do you guys think is best?

I’m an aspiring actor and I got to work with a director who’s also just starting out. We’re doing some no budget stuff so I can get some clips for my demo reel so I can finally submit myself to agents and acting classes (some of them require some footage).
The issue is that this director has a lot of mental health issues (and other problems) and doesn’t get any help. We’ve filmed a very beautiful short film a year ago and it’s still not finished. And we started two other projects as well but again nothing seems to get done anytime soon l. I asked if I can help with anything and unfortunately I’m not from the UK or US where I can just submit myself to other projects. I’m already submitting myself on backstage to a lot of projects. And it’s my goal one day to work in the UK/US.
So what can I do? I kinda feel hopeless right now.

Just wanted to share my experience with a recent zoning meeting of the Brewerytown Sharswood CCA. For those not in the know, whenever a developer (or a resident) wants to build something that doesn’t comport with the zoning code (whether it’s a non-permitted used, over building height, without the required parking spaces, etc.) they need to seek a variance and all affected RCO’s have to be presented to and they get to vote on whether or not they are in support (which the Zoning Board of Adjustments is supposed to take into account). I’ve been trying to get a copy of the by-laws of this RCO for 6 months so that I’ll know when elections are and who is allowed to vote in the meetings, to no avail. They also have the ear of the local councilman, since they were able to successfully lobby for recent zoning overlays limiting home construction (in the name of the community). The meeting was attended by 15 people and no attempt was made (so far as I can tell) to determine the eligibility of voting attendees (one participant was identified by name as being an RCO in Strawberry Mansion).
The first presentation was for a builder wanting to build a single family home on a portion of a lot that was zoned commercial. The participants discussed: where trash would go at the property, the quality of materials to be used in the house, whether the single family home would be better as a commercial property (like a corner store), the disposition of two trees and whether or not the single family home would interfere with the theoretical multi-family dwelling that may someday be build on the remainder of the lot.
The second and more consequential presentation concerned a proposed 5 unit apartment building which needed a zoning variance because of the recent height limitation/roof deck bad overlay that was put in place. This building was limited to 35 feet by right and was not allowed a roof deck, but the builder wanted to build to 42 feet and include a roof deck. The topics of conversation included: the need for a roof deck at all, the lack of a roof deck for everybody, where the trash would go, whether other comparable buildings were on the same block or not, the location currently being used as an illegal dumping site, whether the snow was shoveled at the property or not and whether or not a shade study was done. One neighbor even stated that she was voting against the variance because she had previously had a totally different builder leave a mess on her property (incidentally, she had complaints about the current dumping on the property, too).
In the end, both projects were voted down (by 2 and 1 votes, respectively) and the ZBA will see that the “community” is in opposition and presumably act accordingly. The moral of this story is that you’ve got to go to these meetings. People who are completely non-responsive and non-representative are making decisions about what can be built in your neighborhood and influencing your Councilman to pass legislation that may or may not be in your best interests. You could change that by attending the meetings and getting one like-minded friend to go, too.

hello! longtime lurker, but this is my first time posting. my partner does use reddit so i’m under a pseudonym. i am 24f, in a long term relationship with 25m. we’ve been dating since we were 17 and 18 respectively, and this year is our 7th together.
we have a lot of the same interests, shared friend groups, similar outlooks on life and marriage. i’ve always seen him as my best friend and we’ve always supported each other. we’re very physically affectionate, and he is one of the kindest and sweetest souls i’ve ever met. people around us have started joking about when we’re getting married, “where are the kids?” etc.
it’s always been a source of strength for me, knowing that he has my back. but i’m starting to feel a paralyzing amount of what i suspect is either relationship anxiety or some kind of ocd. i think the triggering event is an upcoming cross-country move that i am about to undertake for my dream phd program. my partner and i will have to do long-distance for the first year. he plans to follow after getting things sorted with the lease at our current place, likely next summer.
i’ve concluded my current job and am now “taking a break” before classes start—something i was excited about up until a few weeks ago, which has now morphed into a nightmare depressive episode the likes of which i have never experienced before. i lay in bed all day ruminating about everything in my life, from my future to my partner to myself. the contents of my greatest relationship-related terror, as follows:
we are very different educationally. i have no doubts about his intellect, but he has his associate’s while i went to a 4-year and am now about to pursue the aforementioned phd. he has switched jobs four times over the past 7 years, going from call center work to water plant software maintenance (?) to a brief stint with delivery/doordash and now to data entry. he was not fired from these positions, but left voluntarily (sometimes due to moves, other times due to dissatisfaction).
these positions are all entry-level, and he has expressed distinct dissatisfaction with aspects of all of them until the most recent position. i’ve never been bothered by it before, but as i make career decisions and see others around me doing the same, i start to worry that he’ll never find something he likes. he’s also expressed that he doesn’t think there will be a career that he loves the way i love mine, and that scares me. i want to feel like my partner and i are both working towards our own happiness. and i’m scared that he isn’t.
this terror has turned into me looking for jobs in our new city for him, suggesting career paths and schooling and having multiple conversations where i have asked him to think about what he wants to do. he’s been open to looking into my suggestions, agreed that he might be depressed/struggling with adhd, and will start looking for a therapist, but he has also told me that he needs some time to work on these things. i’m scared of the neurotic, controlling person i’m becoming and terrified that i’m in denial about this relationship working out. and all the while, he has sat with me during panic attacks, promised me that we’ll be okay, and tried everything to cheer me up.
i also feel no small amount of shame for even worrying about this to begin with. i didn’t find my undergraduate experience to be particularly whelming, especially with the pandemic—i think it charted my ability to come to class every day and little else. but i’ve heard many people deride the idea of women “dating down” educationally, and it troubles me. my partner is so intelligent but could not afford a 4-year program, and i am afraid that hinders him from finding fulfilling job opportunities + eventually hinder us from reaching our life goals (which right now involve buying a house someday and going to Greece, haha).
reddit, i’d love if i could hear some perspectives from people who have been in similar situations, either with sudden doubts in long term relationships, education gaps, impending long distance, etc. i’m starting therapy and potentially meds for anxiety, but am struggling to even get through the days right now. i want to grow together with him, but also don’t want to try to change him. would it be better for us if i left?

The Investment Committee will direct the investment activity of the Company in public and private markets. To summarize the above paraphrase from the Q4 Form 10-K, Gamestop has the ability to invest their BILLION dollars in cash into public and marketable securities in which Cohen or other members ALSO invest in. Cohen’s largest position personally is Gamestop shares and this filing allows Gamestop to buy its OWN shares without having to retire those shares like a stock buy-back. This is a genius way for a company to buy its own stock during heavily shorted downward prices or during the stock’s price cycles who have seen fast 100% gains and 50% drops. This also secures the members of the investor committee to also purchase more shares of GameStop.. This is avenue 2.
Lastly, from the Form 424B5 filed on May 17, 2024, “We have entered into an Open Market Sale AgreementSM, or Sales Agreement, with Jefferies LLC, or Jefferies, on May 17, 2024, relating to shares of our Class A common stock, par value $0.001 per share, or common stock. Avenue 3: GameStop set into place the ability to sell shares of their stock on their massive upward price swings to secure substantially more cash on their balance sheet and lead the company to an even more profitable company. GameStop can now hypothetically sell 45 million shares when their stock price jumps to $50 again which would secure $2.25 billion in cash that can THEN be used to either buy back $100 million in their shares or be used to purchase then $3.25 billion dollars of marketable securities. Anyone of voting age (and probably a good number of people under the voting age) in the US is likely familiar with the fact that we elect senators to the US Senate by state-wide popular vote. However, this wasn't always the case. Originally, senators were chosen by state legislatures.
This changed with the addition of the Seventeenth Amendment to the Constitution, which reads as follows:
By making senatorial elections direct elections just like the in the House, we blur the relationship between the two bodies. After all, it's one thing for a more local election to be a kind of popularity contest given that the people standing for election should have a closer connection to those specific people than, say, those who live on the other end of the state. But for senators to have to play these kinds of games seems silly since they are supposed to represent the state as a whole rather than being more aligned with some subset of it or another.
Additionally, a Senate more separated from popular politics could be a place in which expertise rather than partisan wrangling is valued, especially given the longer terms senators sit for. Rather than needing to appeal on a personal level to the average voter, senators would only need to appeal to those already involved in governance who (hopefully) understand the sort of qualities needed to lead successfully better than the average voter. This would, no doubt, still be partisan and have its problems. But it could reign in some of the performative partisanship which is needed to win state-level elections as things currently stand.
There's more that could be said, but that's probably enough for the time being.

As an outsider looking in, it has become increasingly apparent to me that alot of political fighting about the nature of the Senate (e.g., complaints that states with very small populations shouldn't get the same level of representation as states with very large populations) is based on a misunderstanding of what the Senate is really for at all. The Senate, as an upper house of governance with longer elected terms and indirectly elected officials who represent entire states, is supposed to help provide a check on the the House, as a lower house of governance with shorter elected terms and directly elected officials who represent more specific regions within states.
When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.
This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.

Okay now that Brad is gone hello! Long story short starting a new campaign one of my players is the Son of a high-ranking noble. He does not like his father and when finally given the chance in his early twenties he fled but not before raiding his father's vault. I have determined he stole a hand statue with three purple rings that happened to have the dark crystals from dungeons of Drakenhiem. But I need two more rings and what they might be whether they are simple or magical something a noble would keep in his vault. Additionally I want there to be a piece of paper clutched in the hand that could be a deed or a spell or something else. On top of those what else could he have taken from the vault? What could be not useful in the start of the game but perhaps not be able to be sold easily? Additionally since he did take some of the coins in the vault should I say that it's all platinum that way it's much harder for him to say purchase stuff in low-income areas at the beginning? Please help me determine these things and give me your creative ideas 😎

I'm average looking. Decent shape. I work in finance as an independent contractor. In college I had a two piercings in each ear (one double-lobe, single, and cartilage). I had my nose pierced for a while. One small tattoo on my back.

I just got the Pixel 8 Pro and noticed something. Something about the colors has been bothering me as I was setting it up, but I chalked it up to experiencing a new display and needing time to adjust to biggest size + different saturation level
When I finished setting it up and started using it a bit I couldn't shake of the observation - something was wrong

This imgur compilation doesn't make it seem too bad I think, irl it was worse when taking those pictures, the screens came out looking too bright and 10-20% too color-balanced. At a brightness level I'd normally use the phone that issue is even worse, significantly so
The results of my comparison over multiple photos, side by side:
LG G7 - My current phone. Too blue-ish and oversaturated but not too off reality, just noticeably oversaturated and cool
Pixel 8 Pro - Way too yellow/warm. I take a photo of a while wall - appears yellow-ish on Pixel's screen. I read text on Reddit in dark mode - white text appears slightly yellow too. That same photo on other devices looks way better and more true-to-life. I go to Google's white support page - background looks very much yellow-ish
My main display visible in the photos for a bit of comparison - NOTE: it isn't some crazy color-accurate display Perhaps even a bit undersaturated; not too bright. Color balance appears close enough to reality, definitely best of all the screens I was comparing images with (Pixel, G7 and my mom's S23, which had a slight yellow tint but not nearly as bad as my Pixel)When I compare displaying the Google support page with normal brightness on Pixel to my PC display the issue becomes laughably bad. The screen unironically looks as if you had yellow glasses on

This fall I need to take PSY-150 but I'm having trouble deciding wether to do it online or in person. I have done both these last two semesters and I don't see any difference in wether I do better in one or the other. The two professors that I could choose from are Mr. Lora for the in person and Mr. Thompson for online. I prefer online classes if the class is more easy going and prefer in-person if the class is harder to understand. With all that being said do you personally think online or in-person would be the better fit for PSY-150?

I know it can be hard to make a candid looking photo of yourself suffering but try to keep it reasonable, if a bunch of cheesy ones show up then it's going to make us look silly.
