I just acquired a 2011 ES 350 and when I test drove it I noticed a sticker located just inside the driver's side door that shows 1-888 phone numbers for Roadside Assistance and Maintenance. I didn't inquire about it at the time of purchase as I already have Roadside Assistance through my insurance. I was just curious if these services are still applicable 13 years and 3 owners later. I suppose if I ever break down I could give it a try. After all that, I suppose my question is do Lexus vehicles come with lifetime and transferable Roadside Assistance service?

TLDR; I’m an idiot. Check your tire pressure yourself.
My Mother picked up a 24 signature in February with the 19 inch Toyos. Put roughly 3000km on it before I myself got around to check all the basics Oil/fluids etc. I doubled checked the recommended tire pressure in both the owners manual and the drivers door jam. 35 psi clear as day.
When I took my bullet proof trusted tire gauge to it, I couldn’t believe and even used two other separate “cheaper” gauges.
Yep, dealer PDI and delivered the car to her at 50 (FIFTY)PSI all four corners….
Car sat in garage overnight. Tires were cold. FYI
And she was already impressed with how comfortable the ride was before!

This term appears fairly regularly in law and I don't know exactly how to interpret it. It seems to be one of those common phrases that anyone with legal training understands, but as a layman I don't know how to read it.
Suppose something (X) can be done with "authorisation from the owner or occupier of the land"
Suppose F is the freeholder of the land, but L is the leaseholder and occupier of that land. The leasehold agreement probably says that L can "hold and enjoy" the land, or similar. And assuming the leasehold agreement doesn't say anything about X:

• "or" has an implied "either": either F or L could authorise X even if the other objects.
• "or" is an exclusive-or: with no leasehold in place F is the owner so they can authorise X (and there's no L to complain about it), but once the leasehold is signed F gives up their right and only L could authorise X.
• It's more complicated than that. Perhaps F could authorise X regardless of L's objections to it, while L could authorise X only if F did not object.

An example is in POFA 2012:

“relevant contract” means a contract (including a contract arising only when the vehicle was parked on the relevant land) between the driver and a person who is - (a) the owner or occupier of the land; or (b) authorised, under or by virtue of arrangements made by the owner or occupier of the land, to enter into a contract with the driver requiring the payment of parking charges in respect of the parking of the vehicle on the land;

Original owner of an ‘06 with 75k. Love the car but want to ‘spruce’ it up (all fluids again, suspension, driver seat padding, rims/tires, valve/tuneup) and am looking for a reputable shop to handle the work. Any recommendations in western VA-Roanoke/Charlottesville?

Hey guys,
So I allowed a friend to practice driving with my car in a residential area, as they're trying to get their license. They have a learners permit as well. Sadly, they hit a parked car door while trying to make a wide right turn as they were trying to correct their turning, from turning right at a T junction.
Checked the damage and it looked like the car door paint was scratched up and a small dent. Luckily found the owner and explained the situation and we exchanged info and went our way. In the moment, I gave them my driver's license, even though I wasn't the one driving, and forgot to take a picture.
I'm planning to call MPI just to notify them also about the minor accident.
My question is what other things do I need to do in regards to this situation? I've never been in an accident, so not really sure what to do apart from report it. My driving record is sparkling clean, so also don't want to mess that up.

I (52F) grew up around cars, and have owned a lot of them over my lifetime, but mostly modern cars that were used as daily drivers or fun 2nd cars. The fun cars include a C5 Corvette, several Miatas, a BMW M3, and a couple of GTIs. A few years ago I bought an 84 Mk1 GTI and while fun while it ran, it was too much of a project car and turned into a never-ending money pit beyond my average skills and resources to wrench (sadly, it was an impulse buy as it reminded me of a car I had in high school.)
I am looking for recommendations for a classic car from the 1960s-70s that are easy to get parts for and repair, that have a decent owner following, that I do not have to mortgage my home to locate and buy the pseudohydroexhaustwidget to keep it going, and that have a decent amount of space where me and the wife can throw a couple of overnight bags in and take our Thelma and Louise journey to destinations unknown.
That said, I don't mind dropping a couple of thousand of dollars per year to keep a car going, and understand that older cars have a continuous need for upkeep with things like seals, electrical components, etc. needing attention. I live in a snowbelt state and would only drive maybe 300-500 miles over three or four months per year. I love rowing my own gears, the sound of a V8, and a drop top with the wind through my hair. I love the mid-60s shoebox Nova II, Mustang fastback, and Bonneville convertibles.
I'd love to stay under $35k if I could, but open to ideas for the right car. Any recommendations?

I'm looking to get learner's insurance for a grey import vehicle. This would be for a period of 4 days. I have bought learner insurance for myself previously however I am having difficulty finding sites that offer it temporarily for grey imports.

We just had a French delivery driver turn up to drop off some goods, and he noticed the sign, initially asking if we were French (since my name is also French in origin). Sadly no, neither of us are from France or speak more French than is necessary on a ski holiday. However, the delivery driver said that apparently it's quite a common house name in France and has an interesting history as a name, something about confusing the Germans during WW2.

Long story short, my car broke down moving to Chattanooga. Spent a sleepless night getting it and my family to the airbnb. We dropped it at the end of the driveway around 10PM with the Hazzard lights on (the rental truck couldn't make it down the driveway) we were getting back around 11PM to see the car on a tow truck. The officer got in the PPV and left and the tow truck driver said there is nothing he can do since he officer left. Unfortunately I was too tired to have the mental capacity to do argue anything at the time.

Motorists have queued for hours to purchase petrol for 99 cents at two Illawarra service stations, inadvertently blocking a pre-school at pick up time in the process.
The promise of petrol for 99 cents, something not seen on price boards since the early 2000s, in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis was the ultimate drawcard on Tuesday afternoon.
Drivers could refuel at the Metro Petroleum station at Figtree for 99.9 cents for two hours between 3pm and 5pm.
Doordash driver Scott Holland had been in line since 2.15pm.
“It’s crazy,” he said, as he approached the roundabout at Uralba Street.
Mr Holland said he spends more than $220 a week on fuel, so the deal was too good to miss.
“Remember back in the 90s, it was 60 cents [a litre] and when it got to 99 cents we said we’d never pay a dollar.
“Look at it now.”
Not everyone was happy to sit in the traffic lines that at some points stretched to the McDonalds on the Princes Highway.
Nearby resident Ray Lonsdale said he couldn’t pick up his children from the nearby public school, with cars already lined up on Murray Road at 2pm.
“It was a dumb move to do it at school time.”
The deal was part of a promotion for a company called DCT – Dreams Come True which offers members discounts and giveaways.
Dreams did not come true for parents and staff at KU Figtree, some of whom had to walk for up to three kilometres to pick up their children and staff were parked in well after finishing work.

Hi guys, I was wondering if any w222 owners experienced issues where there are clicking sounds coming from the rear of the drivers side? after checking every part in the car I decided to open the sunroof and the noise went away. When I closed the sunroof it came back shortly after. I made sure to look at the rails and didn't find any debris. I am hoping I don't have to take it to the dealership, loaners are 2 weeks wait time.
