I am a guy. Me & a girl who I have been cool with for around 3 years met at work. I stopped working there in 2022 but returned in 2023. We got closer again & started talking like before. At work we would talk for hours whenever we saw each other it was real good vibes. We wouldn’t walk by & not speak. For like a week I just started flirting with her to see where it would lead and she invited me over & we had sex. Everything still remained cool we still talked at work & outside of work. She invited me over 2 weeks later & made me food & we just chilled. But randomly two weeks later she just randomly changed. She didn’t check up on me when my grandma died nor did she wish me a happy birthday. I question myself why did she switch up on me like that out of nowhere?

This is long so thanks to all who reads this. My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 years and we have had a ton of ups and downs. As I mentioned he is a school counselor, he has even had inappropriate relations with another teacher at one of the schools he worked at and that was a whole thing. When I told a family member we were going to said students baby shower I was given the response “why? That’s weird.” So there’s the optics. So fast forward, I’m going through his phone and he texted a female student at 5:30 AM (we were at the gym together I was doing RDLs in front of him) “happy birthday 🎈🎊”. At 5:30??!! He said that the previous day she kept reminding him and her mom has cancer and he feels bad so that’s just when he remembered. So then the student texts later “wya with my chipotle” and he responds “driving back”. He said that he buys students lunch on their birthdays. I continue going through the phone and I see multiple students numbers saved male and female but I’m more concerned about the females asking “can you call me down 5th period”. For example.
Now I do not think he is a groomer bc these messages are largely about graduation dates and deadlines and he does not communicate with students after school hours BUT after we already had the conversation about optics and I’ve already voiced my insecurities he’s continued to show he has blurred boundaries. I don’t plan to stick around when the accusations come rolling in. When I confronted him I felt gaslit and when I said I was going to post the screenshot to social media he almost got physical because I’m putting his character and job in jeopardy but I believe other people would agree with me that his behavior is weird. Fast forward in 2021 shit got so rough my family always hated her for no reason (jealousy is a real thing bro) and so much happened. And imma be honest in 2022 i was taking care of her since we moved in together but 2022 i told her quit her job around early January February i told her i got us cause i found a job paying great so why not? That was my baby you know? So that year i went to a whorehouse with this dumbass loser i was working with and i fell for the temptation. Mind you this was a bad year for her she gained weight up to 260 and her family (mom and sister) they always treated her like shit and always was jealous of even me getting her stuff and just loving her and supporting her. Im not gonna lie yes i cheated and she found out about it the same day cause i fell asleep and went through my phone. My dumbass recorded a voice note that those whores can’t even give oral correctly they use all teeth , so when she found out that was a dealbreaker. Bro i destroyed her with that and i know i fucked up so bad this chick had a hot meal from scratch ready for me every single day after work.
Anyways fast forward to 2023, she told me when i get a job i got you and everything you ever did. She got the gastric sleeve surgery in September 2022 so 2023 in February she had started losing weight drastically and then eventually got a job the same month. Brother she was destroyed and still gave me food everyday still helped me still gave me sex just still was trying not giving up. I unfortunately didn’t see it this way due to my own internal problems and trauma and my selfish and stupid ways. Anyways even for my bday she took me to miami wasted $3k on the trip and it was amazing. Eventually it got toxic i got fired around October and i wasn’t really fully employed after that for a while so she had to pick up alot and my egocentric ass said hey i did it for you whats the problem a couple months you hold me down? Anyways for her birthday we went to paris (February 2024) and it was great till we argued (i really shouldn’t have gone cause i got a job in February the whole month and first month on the job i requested a week off already and i lied saying it was something else but it was really this trip i had) anyways after this trip she someway somehow forced me to quit my job because i was out from 6am-7pm everyday monday through Friday. March came and dont get me wrong guys my family i am blessed enough that they were sending me little amounts of money here and there to get me through they know i needed to pay rent food etc. march came and someway somehow when she said something to me she slammed the door and walked out so i immediately reacted and then slammed the door open to chase her . I come back the whole door is ripped off the frame . All the hinges ripped off. I ran away like a coward because she kept screaming at me and cursing me out saying you gotta replace it now but i didnt have 1$ to my name and im asking my mom and she is being a bitch on purpose. Long story short that was march 23rd i get arrested 4 days later because of property of destruction and then get out on limited order of protection. We ran into eachother a couple days later and we spoke she invited me over and i lived with her again the whole month of April.
Anyways in april im still just relying on my parents at this point because all these jobs im applying for are not in my favor to respond to me (no one hit me back up) . So towards the end of the month literally the Sunday before the 1st of May we get into another heated argument she said you dont do shit around here you a grown ass man this that and that and tbh bro i can show you my cashapp my mother send me like $1500 that month and every time she would send me $100 here or $300 there for food or something she would tell me waste it on weed. (We kinda of had a weed addiction we were wasting $40 a day 7days a week on weed, you do the math) so anyways most of the money my mom is sending me is being spent very inconsiderately and bad . I didnt think much of it cause i thought hey fuck it man im here whatever she wants to make her happy.
Anyways fast forward after the argument sunday before may 1st the weekend before may 1st i leave again because it got so crazy i wasn’t trying to spazz out so i walked out and left. Monday she tells me come back ik your mom isnt cooking im not heartless i still wanna be friends with benefits or friends . Whatever she said and also she said i built this bond with you no one knows me like you do. (We lost our virginity to eachother , we literally told eachother our deepest darkest secrets , met eachothers families, did all this together was very intimate) so i went back and as she said we ate we cuddled etc. the next day after work we go out the whole day because her and mom and sister arent on good terms i forgot to mention we lived in a basement and her mother on the 1st floor. The whole month of april they were on bad terms (just walking by eachother not even talking or acknowledging eachother) so we go out the next day after that Tuesday before May 1st. After work we do all that and come back home at 6/7 ish . I havent checked her phone in ages cause i fucked up alot and honestly i kind of had a feeling if i did i was gonna see exactly what i was looking for.

Are you serious? She laughed in my face and said well you’re reading it aren’t you? I lost it and spit in her face and called her a nasty you know what just like her sister. How shes just like her sister (her sister fucks any guy to fill her void and to get money/gifts in exchange. (Going back as to why they weren’t on good terms in april her and her sister got into a physical fight because her sister wore her deadstock jordans i got her from 2018 that are now worth $700 and fried them . What blew my mind during the fight was her sister looked and me straight in the eyes that day and said i know alot about you as if she got something on me. That made me wonder alot. Also she called my ex gf a slut which made me think what the fuck) anyways fast forward after i catch her cheating on me she chases me in her underwear for 12 blocks and im toying running around cars with her at that point and i threw her phone on the ground and she ran right past it. Long story short i got arrested and now im facing a felony cause of that and its no contact as of rn till July when this court date happens. "I never saw Joe leave, his room is still empty so you can check it out," the manager said. "What room" I responded. "Room 303, I'll escort you there" the manager said.
The bright lights reflected the hall floors. "Why would this man be following me into Joe's room, what if he killed Joe, what if I'm next" I thought as I began imagining my corpse in a dumpster next to a Denny's somewhere.
After a few minutes of going upstairs I remembered my 5th birthday, that day I learned that all my friends were fake, not a single one came to my birthday, neither did my parents, In fact they didn't even set up the party, Joe set up the entire party, helped me set up invitations for my friends, and was the only person who even bothered to be there.
"Can't believe I forgot about Joe for those five months," I thought as we finally arrived at room 303.
"Ladies first," the manager said.
I became paranoid as I entered the room with the manager behind me.

The door was slammed closed as I investigated the room, not thinking much about it I continued investigating, first I checked the bedroom, I found Joe's phone randomly on the floor.
Then I heard the sound of someone locking. The manager lunged at me with a knife. Adrenaline rushed through my blood stream as I dodged the knife, dashed into the kitchen, and grabbed a knife. The manager suddenly became scared, or at least he looked scared since I also had a knife.
I was able to unlock the door while simultaneously watching him for any sudden movements, my back leaned on the door as I unlocked the door without looking, I'm very lucky the lock didn't require a key from the inside.
I swiftly opened the door and ran downstairs, the manager followed, my legs began shaking uncontrollably. The adrenaline had officially ran out, the manager continued the chase.
"There's cameras up here!!," this one sentence alone made the manager stop what he was doing, go on the floor and start crying knowing he would be exposed for his attempt at killing.
I became very confused, "why was he crying" I wondered. I then realized this was my chance to escape, I escaped that horrid hotel.
"Turn on you stupid thing!!" I yelled at the phone as it refused to turn on due to its lack of battery. I decided to find a hotel where I could charge my phone and rest for a bit.
I couldn't go to this one since the manager almost killed me, luckily for me a hotel wasn't too far away from the other one, a common trend done by many hotel companies.
I rented a room for $70 a day, I had $100 left.
"Did the manager kill Joe, he might've been trying to kill me in order to ensure no one finds his remains," this thought alone had me up the entire night.
I continued my investigation believing there's still a chance that he's alive, I checked Joe's phone in hopes of finding his whereabouts.
I found a few messages on his phone, except a cut off message on bumble. He was messaging a woman named Katelyn. "Maybe he was living with that woman's home" I thought.
After reading enough of the messages I was able to find the woman's address.
On my way there I felt a bit light headed, I clasped onto the ground, all thoughts vanished as I began to fade away.
I woke up with my shirt soaked in water, same with my pants. My feet felt the wet carpet touch my feet as the coldness sunk in.
I was surrounded by darkness, I ventured this darkness in fear, what if I wasn't alone, what if I just feared the dark.
I would soon realize that both of these were true.
My eyes saw a light illuminating in the distance, I dashed towards the light, feeling warmth for the first time being in this place, it felt amazing until I encountered another human being.
"Judging from your number, you must be a newcomer," the man said.
"Follow me" the man added. He refused to elaborate further, I didn't know anything about this place so I reluctantly followed him.
The man gave off a very creepy vibe, he wore a black coat with a yellow stripe on his left sleeve, his sleeve had a hole revealing his or a number, 64 was his number.
"What's your name," I said attempting to strike some conversation, instead of keeping the strange atmosphere. He continued walking without a sound to be heard from him.
A flashback struck me reminding me of the very possible chance that this nameless man could try and kill me.
"It's not like you have a choice" my brain told me as I continued to follow him.
A sudden bright light from the sky hit me. I noticed a village in the direction we were headed.

For months, I (F21) have been urging my mother to plan a family vacation for my father's 50th birthday this July. Despite taking time off work and preparing well in advance, she consistently brushed off the idea, leaving us with no concrete plans. Concerned that her lack of action would lead to nothing happening as July approached, I kept pushing.
Meanwhile, a friend suggested a trip to Hawaii around the same time. They meticulously researched flights and accommodations, inviting me to join their well-organized excursion. The flight leaves a day before my father’s birthday. Seeing an opportunity, I suggested to my mother that she should plan something special just for my father and her.
However, she continued to offer vague ideas without taking any real steps towards planning.

So After I graduated from high school my relationship with my friends at the time was good and I did not think that we would change especially after I attended the party of one of my friends son which was two years ago, but..
Unfortunately, this happened a few years after they entered university, while I was working We communicated less but I was the one who always took the initiative I used to ask about them ask if they were fine after being sick It was all one-sided, and because I did not have very good friends at work.. so I became attached to him The ancients..
I continued to be the one who continued to provide attention I felt annoyed that they did not return it but... unfortunately, I continued. Until it happened a few months ago.. I talked to one of my friends and told her what you think about us going out and having fun and she told me that we will do that later and that there is no problem.. But my view of the whole thing changed when the same friend posted that she had invited the rest of her friends from high school to her house and she did not invite me even though I had spoken to her perhaps a week before she invited them.
I felt upset at the time but that was the night that changed everything.
Since then, I stopped asking about her, and until her birthday, I did not send her congratulations, because I also posted that I was sick a few days before her birthday, and she did not ask about me, even though some of my old friends had asked about me.
I also noticed that one of the girls that she had invited to her house had arrived she hiding me on Snapchat and I did the same..
Since that time, I have become superficial in my relationships and do not give anything more than it deserves. It was a painful experience, but I feel stupid because I did not understand the matter from the beginning Now I feel better I mean being alone is better than giving attention to people who do not deserve it but the thought and loneliness hit me something even I have a lot of online friends who make it’s better for me.

So my son had his 10th birthday party at a jump place on Saturday. He wanted to invite 5 friends. We sent the invites early enough, all went well. Until a few days before the party he said his friend wanted to invite a girl. This girl is not very nice to my son so I told him no, let your friend know I said that wasn’t going to work so it wouldn’t look like my son was at fault. Lo and behold the day of the party the girl shows up with her dad and her 3 siblings. The dad let me know he didn’t get the info till the day prior and all that was written on the ripped paper was the place and time. I asked the girl who invited her and she told me the friend of my son - I let the dad know they were welcome to hang with the party and have cake and pizza but he would have to pay for their entrance fee as they weren’t actually invited. He got his kids and left pretty fast. A few people think I was in the wrong - but that would’ve been an extra $100 I did not plan for. So was I the ahole?

Something likle Rallly, in fact rallly has some "events" functionality comming soon, but i need it this week.
Is there any app or should I invest some time to do a landing page (i think it may take up to 5/6 hours to do something "static" (i could do a static html+js+css project, no problemo, but this app would help in future events).
The idea is to have something like a canva poste to share on whatsapp birthday party group so everyone can have all the information. It's mandatory for the application to have a mobile view.

I walked long way in improvement with women (confidence, awareness, inner game, aura, psychology, outer game) and finally found a girl I vibe with, connect with and actually felt romantically bond... or in love for the first time ever in my life.
She seemed into me since summer 2023 but we didnt really talk much until February 2024 when she started giving IOIs such as "I wanna get invited to your birthday again", "wanna watch a kickboxing game of yours" or stuff like that. She used to be really touchy with me when I sat next to her in class. I flirted and day by day escalated things - our class planned to have a vila party and she was down to drinking wine with me in the pool of the house. So I've been consumed by loneliness for most of my 44 years of life. Which I push down, then assuage with shallow social contact, and comes out sideways in raging FOMO and torpedoing new relationships. Combination of constant, daily, low grade emotional abuse and neglect, and lack of social skills resulting from the abuse and neglect continuing to this day (I still live with her.)
Today, I invited a friend who has also had childhood trauma, to go swimsuit shopping with me. On the surface, it seemed innocent enough. We both need swimsuits somewhat soon, we were just talking about this need two days ago, seems like a perfect way to spend time together and get to know each other, right? Right.
Except, even though we've probably known each other for a couple years, and meet monthly for the hobby we both share, the opening up of our trauma to each other is relatively new. And I don't know if we have anything else in common.
And considering I just did this with another friend I hadn't seen in a couple years except for wishing her happy birthday, invited her to a dance class. She had a perfectly good reason for not going, but I got brusquely dismissive of her when she said no. I didn't even realize how dismissive until after the fact. I apologized for the brusqueness, but I think it left a mark.
So now I'm sitting here, playing the scenarios in my head, if my swimsuit friend turns me down (no matter what the reason is), whether I'm going to take it personally again, and how that's going to affect our future friendship.

My daughter has been invited to a birthday party for her school friend however the parents are doing a joint party, including the older sibling. The older sibling is in the same school and is known to my daughter but they're not friends as they're in different year groups.
What would you say is the etiquette for buying gift(s)? She's been invited to their party by both of them so should we get a gift for both or do we just buy for the one in the same year and ignore the elder sibling?
It seems rude to attend a party for someone and not get a gift but then again, we hardly know the kid.
Just wondered what others would do? I'm leaning towards not getting a second gift but didn't want to look an arse.

About a year ago I stopped talking to my Mom over a variety of issues. Mostly because I felt she wasn’t treating my wife fairly and all that.
She wasn’t treating her fair, and my wife and I tried looking the other way and even invited her out to a Mother’s Day lunch last year when we talked last but she would not respond to my text.
Two weeks later was my mom’s birthday and I didn’t call her or send her a happy birthday text. It set her off, and rightfully so, I guess. I honestly stopped caring.
So much has happened in the last year since my mom and I spoke
My mother in law has developed severe dementia.
My wife was in the hospital for two months because she needed open heart surgery. We are a very young couple and never quite experienced any adversity in life up until now.
I did it all alone, took care of my family, and yes, it was hard but I wouldn’t have it any other way other than doing it and taking care of my family myself.
Last couple of days my mom has been trying to contain me via various people like my dad and my cousin. I ignored my dad texts pretty much and then my cousin texted last night before bed saying my mom wants me to call her, as it is very important.
I am now ripped with anxiety and I barely slept. I don’t want to let this toxicity back into my life.
I just want to take care my wife and my home. Struggling as I don’t know what the right thing to do is
Btw my mom has been toxic all my life and has caused many issues with women in my past and has never respected my decisions in certain things.

There's a girl in my old workplace I think about still frequently. I've never had so many mixed signals.
Context: Work together in a restaurant in Europe with live-in staff accommodation.
Me: 36, 5'7 150 pounds, used to be beautiful but my face has melted with age.
Her: 23/24 (had birthday) petite and slender, very quiet and softly spoken. Not outright antisocial but just struggles to think of things to say, much like myself. Lots of eye contact when we talk but little otherwise. She makes even less with others. All we ever did was make small talk really. Nose ring. Possible nipple ring.
Reasons she might like me: (in chronological order from arriving to quitting, first four are very mild)
Before we started a shift together and introduced myself, I pass her a couple of times on my induction. The first she mentions to her female friend she needs a haircut and the second time she has got a super low cut top on (never seen her wear it before or since).
We meet properly and I think it goes OK. I compliment her voice and she smiles. I compliment her again at the end and she brushes the front of her hair, looks pleased and slightly flustered.
The next 10 or so days nothing much at all happens we just make small talk like always and are nice to each other. I think I can see a nipple piercing but can never quite tell.
Came downstairs when I was working and asked if I wanted some small packets of chips she bought and didn't like. I say sure and give her some change.
OK here we go. I come down to start my shift and she catches me just before we go in. She is completely dolled up, with pink pigtails, and says her name tag has broke, rubbing her boob over her clothing where the tag should go. I just look and smile and go oh and walk off with a semi (sigh). She follows me into the dining room and says she has fixed it now. All my **** tier gane can manage is "have you got any tattoos" She rolls up her sleeve crazy quick and shows me one on her shoulder. I say it looks expensive and walk off. 2 mins later she wants to practise my waitering skills by pretending to be a customer. She sits at a table and I go "what can I get you, young lady? In my best flirty voice. I think a customer came in at that point so we stopped. *Later she pretends to through a pen at me with a big smile, she then walks over and gives it me. *She clocks me out my shift for me. Fin.
We were polishing cutlery in the back alone for the first time (she said the supervisor had sent her) and she said do you wanna listen to music, she puts Fantasy by Maria Carey on my phone?
Another colleague asked if I wanted to go for a walk with her dog, we did but she is a piss head and I have zero attraction. Two days later, I see X again and in the loudest voice I've ever heard her use, just blurts out I banged on the window and waved out you yesterday! I didn't see her. I just go should have knocked harder then and go into a different room briefly. She then sits next to me for a bit.
Next day says she waved again. Again I have missed it. Stands next to me during the fire drill.
She went home for her birthday and has gotten her nails done. They look nice and all, but she is constantly flaunting them at me (stroking the radiator, the clipboard whilst I'm next to her.) I say they look expensive, then remember I said the sane compliment about her tatt (sigh).
***Reasons she doesn't like me
*Has never ever touched me apart from accidental very brief, platonic fingehand touching when passing items to each other.
*Never brought up sexual topics/things once.
In two months has touched three other male coworkers once each, one on the back, the others pretending to dust *** off their uniform. The WEIRD thing was they were all just as I had entered the room? She went on a date with one of them before I started, but she said nothing happened, and him and the other guy displayed absolutely zero interest in her sexually at any time (didn't touch her back) He left about 1 week after I started.
She did go for at least one walk with thr guy and for drinks with him and supervisor. They invited her but not me. I saw them all and they spotted me and turned round and she waved briefly. I left shortly after.
Towards the end she wad pining (exaggeration but only just) for the supervisor guy when he's not there. I think she means it in a work context as she is put in charge when he's not there and struggles a lil bit because of her quietness. But what do I know?
I mentioned the kitchen staff thought I was gay, and she said "are you?" in a strange stern tone.
I leave job. I still have some feelings for her. I need closure (she had no socials I can contact her on).

Hi. I am a 29 F that just broke up with my 38 M narcissistic boyfriend of 6 years (on and off) back in February, he moved out March. I’ve been going to therapy since then and we established that I should be single for at least a year so I can properly grieve each holiday, birthday, vacation without them and know how to be alone. I think that’s a great idea but it’s hard cuz I’m considered to be conventionally attractive and men are always trying to date me. Even if I say I am not interested. I’ve always had a boyfriend, ever since I was 15, I was never single, because men always wanted to date me and I always jumped into relationships without getting to know them first. So it’s safe to say, I haven’t had the best romantic relationships. I get a lot of attention and although the men love it at first (all these guys want her but she’s with me), they eventually grow jealous, don’t trust me, and it ends up being very toxic and they try to change who I am.
With that being said, I am focused on myself and learning how to be by myself. My goal for my future partner would be someone who is genuinely my friend. Someone who isn’t trying to have sexual relations with me I don’t know how realistic that is but, every guy “friend” I’ve had later confessed how they liked me and when I expressed I didn’t feel the same way they stopped being my friend. So I’m hoping to genuinely be friends with a man and we somehow fall in love? Anyways, I met a man through a Facebook group I’m in. I was giving away some unused dancing shoes for men and he came by to pick them up and we have been friends since. He was very sweet and we opened up to each other about our past. He said he hasn’t been single in 6 years, he’s always had a girlfriend and I told him about my toxic 6 year on and off relationship with my ex and we both talked about how I would like to be friends with a man for a long time before dating them cuz I would like to know his personality since I’ve always just jumped into relationships with men I basically didn’t even know. He completely understood… or so I thought.
One day he came over so we can eat tacos and watch black mirror, we normally hang out with other people but this time we were alone. And he tried kissing me… I would avoid it but he literally grabbed my face and we made out but it felt so forced and I did not enjoy it at all. I just wanted him to leave but he overstayed his welcome and I was too nice to ask him to leave. He eventually left and I just felt icky.
The following week he was supposed to take me to the airport. I asked him to come to my place at 6:30 AM. That morning, I was running late, I probably would have been ready by 6:45 MAX. He shows up at 6:10 AM knocking at my door. I didn’t answer the door cuz I’m literally running around like a headless chicken trying to get everything together for my flight. I’m frustrated cuz 1. He is supposed to pick me up. I never said he could come inside. Pick me up to me means that you literally pull up and wait for me to come outside when you tell me you are outside. 2. He showed up so early!! I would have felt bad if he showed up at 6:30 but he showed up at 6:10 and I felt super rushed. Not only that but he kept trying to open my door. So I told him to go wait in his car. I never invited him in and I didn’t want him in my home watching me run around like a mad woman. This just completely turned me off.
He’s been messaging me and tryin to hang out but I’ve just been coming up with excuses. AITA? Am I over reacting?

My sister encouraged me to come here (again). She's an avid reddit user and she's the one that found the story about me but I can't find it and she can't either now. Some of you might remember it as I'm writing.
Anyways, I (32F) and my husband (33M) were invited to my nieces birthday party on April 27th.
We don't get along with my SIL, she's the most entitled person I've ever known. I've tried my best to get on with her and even asked her to be my bridesmaid when I got married.
She made everything about her, she didn't like the dresses, she didn't like the shoes, she refused to come with us to go shopping but got upset that we'd chosen the dresses without her. We did try our best to find a date that suited her but instead she went off with her boyfriend every time. I did tell her politely that if she didn't like the dress then she could step down being a bridesmaid, nope she went crying to my MIL that I'd dropped her as one, of course, my MIL believed her over me and I had to send screenshots to prove that I didn't drop her. I didn't get an apology either, the messages just stopped. I was ignored for a few days and then a message appeared as if nothing happened from my SIL.
My in laws enable her behaviour by always talking down to my husband and siding with her over any minor detail. I have told him, he needs to stick up for himself but he won't. It's easier for him to just 'take it'.
She was upset she didn't get a plus one but my other bridesmaids did. My other bridesmaids were either already married or had long term partners not one that had been on the scene for all of 3 months. She wanted him to be part of the bridal party and to be a groomsman. The best we could do was invite to the reception because of the allocated numbers, apparently that wasn't good enough! We were asked to drop a guest and then bump him up, I explained I wasn't going to do that as I'd already got the RSVP's from everyone. Anyway, he did come to the reception and he left after 2.5 hours and I didn't even communicate with him so I assume he felt uncomfortable. The reason I didn't communicate with him was because it's not up to me to introduce myself, 'oh hi I'm the bride, nice to meet you.' Not one of my husband's family said congratulations to us either and they tried to take photos of my husband with his family without me.
They've always done that, always got me to either take the photo or could I move out of the way as it's 'only family' allowed in photos. I wasn't invited to their thanksgivings/Christmases/birthdays either, I don't think my MIL liked the fact that her son was growing up. We were 24 when we met. They also tried to take one last 'hurrah holiday' to Cuba before my husband and I got married, leaving me behind. I was quite upset but let my husband go. I found it entertaining that my in laws were perfectly okay with me not going anywhere or invited but somehow my SIL boyfriend HAD to come to our wedding...?
Fast forward 4 years, they're still together. Cool. I still don't really know him that well, let's just say my husband and I's relationship with our in laws got majorly strained after our wedding.
So our niece is 1 this year. We were invited to go to the birthday party but we declined. We were told that we were selfish and didn't care about our niece. I do care about my niece and so does my husband but we're not free babysitters and I am very rarely invited out to go see her even if I tried to arrange it myself, it's either, SIL goes out with my husband and niece or we look after her for the day without SIL..? But my SIL will have ago at both of us over message to say we clearly don't care about spending time with them. SIL also makes a huge point about me either being aunty or not being aunty, it's like a weird power flex.
My in laws live in a different state but my SIL lives in our state. So my in laws very rarely see the child either. They wanted to go to sunny Florida now they've retired whereas we're out in California.
SIL had ago at us because she was asking for money towards our nieces savings account which we declined and bought her some presents instead. Apparently she 'already has' the presents we got her and maybe if we made more of an effort to see her we'd have known that... so we've wasted our money on some toys that could've gone into her savings account 🤷🏼‍♀️
She doesn't even get us presents that we would like, not that I'm complaining because I'm grateful for anything. I just think if you can't get us something we want ourselves how can you expect us to be okay with giving money to your daughter??
For a bit more context, she didn't come to my bachelorette party, instead she plastered all her insta that she was out with her bf and told my other bridesmaids it 'wasn't her thing' so we said the same words to my SIL as to why we weren't going. She doesn't make the effort to see either of us on our birthdays. She bitched about me to my MOH that I wasn't being fair to her that I can't understand that she's busy and then bitched about me again because I wasn't involving her with the wedding details?? It's either one or the other!
She said my wedding dress was tacky and 'not her style'. She didn't like the hairdresser doing her hair. She didn't like the layout of the venue etc etc.
Anyway I'm unsure where to go from here. I'm thinking of going LC or NC from my side and let my husband decide what he wants to do.

I’m having trouble on what to do in my relationship and I need someone’s opinion.
My friend’s baby will have his binyag and 1st birthday celebration. The couple are my neighbors and i’m very close with them and their whole family (parents, siblings, cousins, etc.) I’ll be one of the ninangs sa binyag ni baby. Invited yung ate ko and her baby kasi magka-edad lang yung babies nila and sila lang yung match to be playmates. Also, invited din yung boyfriend ko kasi he’s friends with the father naman. We live in a city na maliit lang mundo namin and so yung parents ni baby are friends with my ex na napangakuang ninong siya even before we broke up. Also may isa pang ninong don na nanligaw sakin before but nothing happened and we never went out on a date, although nung single ako, nag-uusap kami thru chat every now and then but nothing flirty kaso medyo naging sad boy yun nung sinabi kong hindi ako interested sakaniya in a romantic way.
Background lang ng story namin ni bf, we were together year 2017-2020 then broke up for 3 years (mutual decision) then got back together (no one saw this coming) this 2023. So yung ex ko na isa sa mga ninong, is the guy i’m with nung 2020-2022.
So now boyfriend’s telling me that he’s not comfortable of me going to the event kasi not only my ex is there, also someone na nanligaw sakin. Sa given na background pa lang, understandable din naman bakit siya hindi comfortable sa event na yun. Of course I understand how he feels, and i’m really weighing my decision here. The event is for the baby naman kasi and i want to show up bilang pamilya na rin ang turing ko sakanila. Sabi ko kay bf, can we at least compromise na kahit sa binyag na lang ako pupunta and wag na sa birthday kasi ninang nga ako. He’s not being a bitch about the topic naman but I can feel his frustrations. Ayaw niya pumunta sa even kahit invited siya kasi hindi niya circle yun and yun nga hindi maganda yung set up for him eh ayaw ko rin naman siya pilitin if he doesnt want to.
What do you think i should do? I dont want to be insensitive on both sides. I’m really torn. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings here.

I (17m) am autistic (might be relèvent) and planning a surprise party for my best friend’s 18th birthday. I asked my friend if he where to have a party who would he invite and he gave me a list of people who he would invite and among those names is my ex (18m) this didn’t surprise me as we still all get along and have hung out as a group since the breakup, I made my way through the list and started to message people inviting them along to the party. I inevitably had to message my ex(we will call him Dan) to invite him, I didn’t think much of it and told him all the details of the party. Now the problem comes in when Dan messages a group chat with my best friend in it sharing a screenshot of my message in which I clearly stated best friend did not know about the party and said ‘are partners allowed to come or is it only for friends?’ I responded telling him to message me privately about this and to please delete his message as I didn’t want best friend to see it, he blew up at me saying I was being unfair towards him and his new partner and some other people backed him up. I was starting to get stressed and overwhelmed with the responses I was getting and shut my phone off. After a few hours I turned it back on to see my friends where all calling me an asshole and best friend had tried to call me multiple times. I’m too scared to pick up the phone because I’m worried he might think I’m an AH. So reddit am I TAH

The story about me (36f) and my sister (38f) is long and complicated, so I’ll try to summarise as short as possible, which is long anyway. (English is not my first language - sorry for grammar!)
Sister has some kind of psychological issues she refuse to deal with properly. I suspect BPD, but I may be very wrong. Mom mentioned she may have gotten a diagnosis lately, but didn’t remember if it’s ADHD or Autism. She’s a very extrovert person who thrives when being around people. She only has two moods: ecstatic or depressed. She absolutely worships people, until one day when she cast them down to the status of a devil. Nothing in between.
Her life is cyclical. It starts with finding a new area of interest that she dives head first into. She meets people doing this thing she’s interested in and idolise them. She says it’s her calling in life, and credits her new-found mental wellbeing to this new calling. She invests everything she has into the new thing - time and money, even starts working in the field. Then comes the depression. Every time she claims she has never felt like this before. The people she worshipped are discarded and branded “bad” or “crazy”. She relies on family to get her back on her feet, then find a new area of interest that “saves her”, and the cycle starts anew. Over and over again.
I broke with her almost 5 years ago. She was depressed and lived with our parents again at that time. I was back to school to get a new career after first being burnt out, then losing my job. My daughter was 3 years old. At that time, I realised my marriage was a huge cause of my own depression and that he was cruel to out child and decided to get a divorce. My ex was very abusive, so I was facing the threat of being homeless, jobless and lose custody. My sister ripped me to shreds and told me that my problems were nothing compared to hers, and that my situation did not excuse not being there for her. For context - she called me every day while I was in school and made me “talk her out of” doing things to herself for 2 hours - every day for weeks while refusing therapy or medication. I lost it.
We went NC about 1 year, then to very LC the last 3 years. It’s working kinda good! As long as I don’t get close to her, we can even see each other without drama. The times I’ve slipped up and allowed too much contact has been a disaster, she becomes possessive straight away and demand I apologise to her for what I did.
My daughter (8f) is the only child in the family. Thank goodness my sister hasn’t had any, and doesn’t plan to either. My sister instantly fell in love with her, before she was even born. While she seems to forget daughter’s existence from time to time, she also adores her from time to time. She showers daughter in gifts and attention. When they last hung out, Sister even pretended to love the very same things as Daughter, which at the time was rainbows and unicorns.
Since I broke with Sister, she has met Daughter 3 times. Once overnight 3 years ago, the other 2 times just a couple of hours outside of home. I do invite her here from time to time and say she’s always welcome, but she never does. She doesn’t bother coming here even if she’s in the area. She lives 4 hours away with car, and now claims she can’t travel here because her horse needs her. Good for us, I thought. Less drama.
But last week I found a package in the mail, addressed to Daughter. In it were the gifts Sister missed giving her - Christmas, Birthday and Easter. There was also a card, in which Sister writes how much she loves Daughter. Boxed in with a green marker, she writes that it’s her biggest dream to have Daughter visiting her for a weekend, and that she’s willing to meet us halfway to pick her up. She asked me a year or so ago, but I haven’t heard a word from her this year.
Yesterday, my mom said Sister has been in touch with her too, asking her to bring Daughter to her. No one asked me. Sister still sends Daughter unicorns and rainbows, even though Daughter hasn’t been into them for more than two years. She does not know my Daughter anymore.
Daughter loves her aunt, and often talk about her and makes her drawings and jewelary. She doesn’t know the issues my Sister has. She does not know she is forgotten for weeks, maybe months at a time. I’m scared my Sister will break her heart, or mess her up. I have not asked Daughter if she wants to go, and she didn’t say anything when reading the card either.
I told mom that Sister is always welcome to come here, and that I want her to come and see Daughter at least twice before I’m ok with Daughter going there (with my parents - not alone. Even mom agrees whole heartedly that Daughter should not go there alone). Mom thinks it’s unreasonable, because Sister is afraid of me and won’t come. I have never raised my voice to her. Never said harsh words. Just refused to do what she wants, so I feel it’s unfair to blame me.
What is your take on this? Am I being unreasonable to “force” my sister to come visit us in order to see my daughter?
