While I love my Odyssey Neo G9 (49") I'm always looking forward to what's next on the horizon. Personally, the 5120x1440p 32:9 monitors are just a bit too wide and a bit to 'short' to be truly ideal.
So, looking out ahead what is your PERFECT monitor for next gen- 2025/26 (perhaps something the 4090 can drive and the 5090 really shine with)?

Since I use my monitor for both work and gaming- OLED is not really a viable option with burn in. I work in software delivery and keep certain systems up all day during the week = Burn in nightmare. I know QD-OLED (or even WOLED) will always look better in a darker room for gaming...personally I need something I can work on all day and then boot up some awesome HDR gaming in the evenings!
Unfortunately there are still slim pickings in the 38" 3840x1600 space. The new LG 39" (39GS95QE-B) and 45" (45GS95QE-B ) were both exciting as they stick with the 21:9 ratio so at 39" or 45" you're getting more vertical real-estate. While the specs and feature set is not ideal for me...seeing these screen sizes in 21:9 is awesome!

I am currently playing a second time through the campaign on hard difficulty and since for my first go I got very frustrated from times to times and shared some (I think Helms Deep and Minas Tirith) in this sub and got questions I couldn't really answer since it was too long ago, I thought I recollect my impressions from my second playthrough as some things have changed (at least it feels like). In general: It got easier.
Moria: Very straight forward. Seperated hobbits and actual heroes into 2 groups and started clearing out goblins and skipping level ups. Once an actual hero got to lvl 2 I picked up a level-up getting them to lvl 3. Fittingly there are 5 hidden level ups and 5 actual heroes. So by the end of the level everyone who matters was lvl 3. Yes I hate the hobbits go sue me.
Lorien: Cloak the hobbits, proceed with heroes. Kill the Lumber mill in the bottom left corner, bring the hobbits. Enter Lorien and build 2 Archery Ranges. The hobbits are send to collect the treasure while everyone else is gathering at the north-western bridge. The hobbits naturally arrive at the norther bridge where they will cross and kill the lumber mill. Constantly produce elven archers and keep an eye on gimli, aragorn and boromir as they tend to get themselves isolated at the front without archer support. just get them back and heal if nessesary. between waves the hobbits go and kill the third lumber mill in the north and then run from chasing lumber jacks and orcs. Either kite them to your archers (go back around, don't try to get past a wave) or just enaugh so you can cloak them. once cloaked/save cloak them and forget about them. Southern bridge will be attacked next, so reposition to the south, after which reposition to the north. Freewin.
Rohan:
Your priorities should be: +Command, +Special, +Resources. Use the early missions, which are very easy, to max out on Rohirrim and get all upgrades asap. You should be able to train new units after every mission (as you get +command) which lets you recruit rohirrim archers and sell them at the main building to level your stables to get shields. At around Fangorn the missions will get more tricky as the enemy will have large numbers of spears with improved weapons. Don't charge them if possible. Kite them to a base with towers or just outrun them. You are usually not in a hurry. You are in a hurry tho in 2 missions where "Isengard will arrive in X minutes" - you don't want that. The army that arrives is strong and has wargs and spears which will decimate your Rohirrim. You want your Rohirrim to level from mission to mission as lvl 2 Rohirrim will not be sufficient.
Helms Deep:
There is no use in defending the lower Wall. I sell everything, archers and peasants in the main building and build Elves exclusively (unlucked once the elves arrive). Station them on the third ring at the very top. Leave all gates open, don't close them. Gather as much resources as possible while upgrading your elves with standards and fire arrows. Ignore improved weapons. Use the Rohirrim and Theoden and Eowyn to safe the peasents, let them gather the treasure and sell them. Defend the right gate on the 3rd wall with gimli, aragorn and boromir. Keep them close so they always have archer support.
The enemy will attack soon and flood the first wall (the one you're supposed to protect) but some of them will be diverted to the open gate. Your elves will kill a constant but slow stream of enemies as they trickle through. Close the lower gate from time to time to waste the enemies time as they will walk towards the ladders to climb them. Just open the gate again when rams arrive. The rams will walk through the opened gate and kill the farmsteads on the lower leve. Your archers will take care of them.
At some point ladders will gather up infront of the game unable to pass through. At that point keep the gate open at all times as ballistas will appear. They wont be able to get past the ladders and get stuck. Like this your losses are kept to a minum. From here on out it's basically just holding out. Once Eomer is ready to be called wait. Another wave will trigger shortly after. Once that has passed/reached your first gate call Eomer. Mount Gandalf and charge the first base with Eomers "For the King" ability. your losses will be minimal. After that turn around and charge whatever is left inside the keep and reunite with Theoden. Heal up on a well, maybe wait out another wave and then ride out. Eomers and Theodens abilities make your riders very tanky so you can charge the second base. After that's done retreat into the keep. No more waves will be spawned. Use your heroes to clear up the map like this you can level them up some more.
Isengard:
Became irrelevant, total cake walk. Before fire arrows where a real issue as they just DELETED ents so you had to cheese the Mission. But now, you are so strong no cheese needed. Defend the first attack, clear the goblins and the troll cave, build up ents. Walk around the base and bombard the urukhai pits and any fire-archer troops you can find while 2-3 ents defend while standing in the puddle outside the gate. Then just go in and kill everything. manouver burning ents into puddles and use heal at your own disgretion. Keep Treebeard alive and mount the Hobbits or cloak them.
Ithilien: Build only rangers and equip them with fire arrows. Try to keep everyone alive, you don't want to lose entire battalions. In the south there are a few rangers and a catapult. You can clear a big deal of the enemy camp on the middle plateau with that catapult. Aswell as the Oliphaunt in the top right corner. It will try to attack your catapult but the invisible wall makes it impossible. You can reach the Oliphaunt with your catapult from a cliff spot on the right side of the walkable map. Just area bombard where the oliphaunt stands it will return after charging you after each hit. Once that is done and the middle plateau is cleared position in front of the ramp and use the Terrain ability (that green circle where your units get boni) as close to the top right base as possible. This will trigger the orcs and trolls to attack you. Then proceed to bombard the bottom right base with your catapult and take it down with your rangers. Just take them to the topright base you cleared already and raze it to the ground. this should work ideally before mordor arrives so you can save most of your rangers.
After that you can pick missions again, and again: Command->Special->Resource.
Be careful in Dunharg, there are a lot of spears on that map and it is rather small. Striking fast is the key to victory although I lost some riders.
Osgiliath:
Then the defence of Osgiliath. This mission got a lot easier but is still tricky.
Right at the start move 2 catapults south aswell as the tower guard. Retreat with your rangers so they don't die to the attacking catapult (your otwer guard in the south will most likely be dead already). Build up the base in the south and kill the catapult with towerguard and your own catapults. Focus on Smithies only, build a well in the southern base. Man the towers with rangers and keep towerguard in defensive formation as a meatshield. Don't advance over the bridges. Maybe I got lucky but the Ai ignored the southern bridge from there on and only send waves down the middle and north. The north can easily be defended with 3 Ranger battalions and 1 towerguard.
From there on build your army up: A few tower guard are enaugh (I guess 6-8 batallions) rest Rangers. Get all upgrades from all buildings. Once your army is maxed call faramir, not earlier. You'll need the additional firepower. I used that time to upgrade the ithilien rangers that haven't been upgraded yet and leveled Faramir on the middle bridge to 5 for the +50% armor leadership bonus. I attacked the catapults one by one luring them into death while I also started building all towers in the southern base. Then I gathered everything except for 2 Ranger battalions and 1 Towerguard which stayed north and crossed the river. This will trigger nazgul to attack. Kill them asap. Establish a footholt on the other side and start taking down the base right across the river. Mount Faramir so he can dispatch any catapults quickly. Once that base is fully destroyed a large and very powerful (lvl 4+ Trolls, Oliphaunts and Orcs) will spawn. This is true for every base the enemy has. Therefor I gather all of my troops around the center of the base, once it's cleared I build a base of my own. the entrance will be to the southwest where I will build Towers at the entrance and on each spot while building a statue and a well in the back. The towers in the front will be cleared almost instantly, just rebuild them that gives your rangers till to kill anything that moves. Expect some heavy losses. Rebuild your army and kill everything but one small tower in the bottom right base. then go topside and do the same for the north base. Kill the manned towers with your catapults. Then kill both bases simultaneously and the mordor army will not spawn for base 2 and 3.
Kankra's Lair: Just walk around with Sam and kill all spiders. Don't free any soldiers. In the top left there is a troll which is too strong for Sam. So you let him throw rocks at it, until he is one hit away from death. use heal and wait until his health drops below half (after his health turns yellow one more hit) then activate the light. Once the troll flees just cloak. Wait for Sam to heal up and heal come off cooldown. Repeat this once and on your third fight with the troll sam should win. Proceed to clear everything with sam until you can only move south-east. Go and free all soldiers. Proceed with sam, kill spiders and free soldiers with soldiers. In the south there is a large arena. Gather all soldiers and tank Kankra with Sam. You will need to heal here so Sam doesn't die. Kankra runs and small spiders swarm. Your soldiers will take care of them. Kankra returns and who she focuses is random afaik so try to kite soldiers she targets away so your losses are not too big. After kankra is defeated clear the rest of the caves, gather treasure and free soldiers and gather at the exit. There is a small base in the bottom right corner guarded by some orcs. Kill them. Build the base and build 3 Smithies and a Farmstead where the Lumber Mill stood. Wait until your smithies reach Lvl 2 then research all upgrades. After the upgrades went through demolish 2 Smithies. Build an archery range and a barracks. Recruit 3 swordsmen battalions from the baracks so it reaches lvl 2. Take them and the rescued soldiers and let them die at the enemy base. They're all worthless. Recruit 12 batallions of Tower guard and 12 batallions of Archers. Fully upgrade them. Delete the archery range and build another Smithy. Throw your army against the enemy base. Once you breach the walls mordor will send a strong army so your first army is most likely lost. I managed to kill a lot by positioning towerguard wisely but in the end it wasn't enaugh. The army wont cross the bridge tho so you can just save up and build 12 Tower guard. Demolish the barracks and build an Archery Range. Build 12 Archer Battallions, full upgrade everyone. This force should be enaugh to overwhelm the defenders.
After that is Minas Tirith. That's where I am right now and I will update in the coming days once I complete it.
General: So far I feel like my troops survive more easily, the enemy armies aren't as punishing as before but I had to resort to cheesy strategies in Helms Deep and expect to cheese Minas Tirith aswell. This playthrough is therefor less challenging and usually I prefer more challenging games even or especiall when it frustrates me. But the changes just made me cheese less and restart less because I accidentally wiped 8 batallions of Rohirrim on a single urukhai spear batallion.
Mistakes I made so far: I didn't really level Gandalf in Fangorn or Helms Deep so I wont have access to lvl 10 in minas tirith. Wihch might be an issue.
I lost some Rohirrim in Dunharg which I couldn't really replenish.
(Maybe) bought the Rohirrim special power and am at 11 Special points with Anduril and Army of the dead missing.
Speaking of which: Special abilities, which I took and why:
Heal: Best ability in the game.
Bonus dmg for heroes: Worth the 1 point.
Gandalf the White: Grey is just useless.
Green-Land-Thingy: Handy in some missions.
Rohirrim: Helped me out at some later missions as fodder to throw into dangerous troops like spears and keep them occupied.
Anduril (not bought yet): Stronger Aragorn is always good, but it is a prereq for Army of the Dead.
Army of the Dead: Is good.
Eagles and Ents are not worth the points you can't use them in most missions. Elves were always underwhelming for me, they deal little to no damage, their range is kinda meh and their melee capabilities suck as in those missions you can use them the enemy has leveled and upgraded orcs/urukhai which delete the elves. Upgraded Peasents: The same reason I don't level Hobits. Sure you can take your time to do so but what's the point?

Clarinha has been buried at Maruípe Municipal Cemetery today, May 14th, at 1:45 PM. Her funeral was attended by hospital staff who took care of her. Coronel Jorge Potratz, the doctor who watched over her during these last 24 years stated "It is a great relief to close this chapter, allow her spirit to rest properly. The cycle is closing, but her story remains open." He placed a white rose in her hands before the casket was closed.
She'll have a tombstone with her picture, the name "Clarinha" and a bible verse that still has not been choosen.
My write-up on the case:
Okay, so it's my first write-up here. I had always wondered why Jane/John doe cases were so famous in English speaking countries, while here in Brazil lots of unindentified people pass away everyday and no one bats an eye. We don't even have a name like "Jane doe" for those people, I think.
Well, there's a notorious case of an unindentified woman who passed away recently that caught my attention. On June 12th, 2000, a woman who had been hit by a car was brought to São Lucas State Hospital in Vitória, Espírito Santo state. It was lovers' day in Brazil (our version of Valentine's) and she was a white woman who didn't have any form of identification on her. I wish I could find more details on the incident, but I can't. She was rescued by an ambulance and was uncouncious when she got to the hospital, and spent the next 24 years that way.
It was noted she had a c-section scar, which meant she had had at least one child, but no one ever came to look for her. They tried to identify her so she could receive some sort of pension, but they weren't able to. On the next year, she was transfered to the Military Police Hospital and has been there ever since, under the care of Dr. Jorge Potratz, and has been named Clarinha by hospital staff. Dr. Jorge had been taking care of her as if she's his own daughter, paying for personal care items for her with his own money. Besides that, Brazil's Unified Health System allowed her to be hospitlized for the past 24 years without anyone having to pay for her healthcare. She didn't need any kind of life support besides a feed tube due to problems in swallowing caused by the accident. A doctor noted that in the scale for comas, which goes up to 15, she's around 7 or 8.
On 2016, TV show Fantástico did a segment about her, which brought the attention to the case. Several missing people families came from all over the country to check on her, but it was no success. A woman from Minas Gerais state thought she could be her missing sister. Her sister left the town of Ipanema on 1999 stating she was going to sell clothes. She left all her documents and 2 kids behind. It wasn't her.
They tried to take her fingerprints, but since her hands remained closed as a result of the accident, her fingertips got all roughed up and they were unable to get a clear print. Norma, a nurse who took care of her, said she called the name of a missing person who was thought to be her and Clarinha opened her eyes for a moment, the article doesn't specifies but I think it was proven it wasn't her.
Clarinha passed away on March 14th, 2024 after sufferig bronchoaspiration (no idea of what it is). They think she was around 40 or 50 years old. The police compared her DNA and figerprints to 12 missing people cases and found no match. Dr. Jorge Potratz took care of all the legal requirements for her to not be buried as an unindentified person.
Personal comments I have regarding the case:

• They did collect her DNA and probably still have it. Yeah, genetic geneology could help solve the case, but it's not that common here in Brazil due to being extremely expensive.
• She was buried, which means her body can still be exumed if needed.
  
• She was not on life support, the only medical care she needed was being fed through a feeding tube, which was probably how she ended up dying. "Turning off life support" would mean letting her slowly starve to death.
  
• In one of the G1 articles I posted down here, there's a picture of her with her eyes open. They're brown.
  
• Yeah, she could be foreign, as well as she could be Brazilian. There's the human trafficking theory going around and I wanted to note that this kind of thing happens a lot in Brazil, people are trafficked from one state to another, she could very well be one of those cases, although I think someone would have said something at this point. I
  
• "Imagine the cost of keeping her alive for that long!!!!" Free healthcare, don't worry about that. Really.
  
• Maybe some international attention would help solving this, that's why I'm making this update post.

1. Around 8 years old, I dressed up in a ballet outfit with my sister and her next-door neighbour girlfriend. Pictures included (thanks, mom).
   
2. Around 10 years old, I prayed every single night for God (sad tears included) to make me a woman. I was developing "breasts," even though the rest of my body was slim. I started to see myself as "different " than the rest of my friends. I grew up in a predominantly female-led household and saw the world through a sensitive, soft lense. Hello, everyone I need to ask for urgent advice on what to do and it's pretty urgent. My mom hasn't seen her father for at least 12 years after he decided to leave my Grandma and go live in a foreign country. Ever since than their relationship has been rocky and it's been at a point ever since they have stopped talking due to his decisions/actions. This has been around 4 years ago ever since their last call and my mom has been looking for him ever since, and today she got the news he was found and he's homeless. Which is messed up but he decided on his own free will to leave my Grandma and my mom and stop talking to them all because he choose to drink alcohol and this alcohol has taken control of his life. Even his own siblings have tried to help him yet all he has ever done was get worse and worse. And the worse part is that his siblings are trying to force my mom to do something and I hate that she's the kindest and most sweetest woman you'll ever meet she wouldn't hurt even a fly. Now that my mom has found her dad what should she do and most importantly how should I react to all of this should I support her decision or stay silent. She believes just because it's her dad that she has the duty to take care of his own stupid problems. Please, give some solid advice for my mom to follow. She's crying and I hate that she's crying all because of that man. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

First post here, and it is a LONG one, so go easy on me. I am not a mathematician, and I am not seasoned like some of the other creators here, but I figured I'd share my favorite paladin build (for the casual 2H enjoyer) and the calculations (for any nerds like me) for a few variations focused around the Balduran's Giantslayer for Honor Mode.
Credit to u/Prestigious_Juice341 for inspiring me with all of their builds. Their old Oathbreaker build is what sent me down this rabbit hole and inspired the foundation of the Paladin variants.
Basics & My Favorite Variant
6 Vengeance Paladin > 4 GOO lock > 2 Fighter
Start Vengeance Paladin with 17 CHA, 10 STR, rest is up to you. I recommend 16 DEX. Use Hill Giant Strength from Ethyl until character level 9/Warlock level 3 when you can bind your weapon. You can also go 10 Paladin and respec at level 10 if you want 2 feats sooner and don't mind the respec.
Feats: Savage Attacker > Great Weapon Master
End Game Items:
Weapons: Balduran's Giantslayer; Deadshot
Helmet: Diadem of Arcane Synergy
Cloak: Cloak of Protection
Armor: Persistence/Helldusk
Gloves: Helldusk
Boots: Whatever you want here can work. Evasive probably ideal for frontline playstyle, but can also go nightwalkers or acrobat shoes if other classes prefer Evasive.
Amulet: Greater Health
Rings: Strange Conduit Ring & Risky Ring or Caustic Band (I prefer Risky)
Elixir: Hill Giant(early), Vigilance
Key Items to grab prior to BIS:

• Weapons: Everburn Blade, Svartlebee's Woundseeker in Act 1; Halberd of Vigilance in Act 2
  
• Adamantine Armor is my personal armor choice prior to Act 3
  
• Crusher's Ring, Ring of Protection, Caustic Band, and Strange Conduit Ring are all available in Act 1
  
• Disintegrating Nightwalkers will last you through to act 2.
  
• Gloves of Belligerent Skies and Boots of Stormy Clamour are also good options for Act 1.
  
• Grab amulet of the Harpers as soon as you enter Act 2 for free shield and WIS saving throws.
  

Playstyle: Hyper aggressive frontliner. Run at the strongest enemy, burst 'em down with big swings and big smites. Hex and Action surge late game for more big swings and bigger smites. You'll have advantage from Risky Ring & Crit Reduction from Deadshot + GOO Passive so you'll crit somewhat often with high damage rolls thanks to Savage Attacker.

Calculations and other Variants I toyed with
Assumptions:

• All variations use GWM and Savage Attacker
• Not calculating for attack roll probability.
• All variations use ability drain illithid power for permanent arcane synergy.
• Honor Mode which means:
  • No pact weapon stacking
  • Must either take alert as 3rd feat or use a vigilance elixir. Could theoretically boost damage by ignoring this point, but I really value initiative in Act 3.
• Base stats are 12 ST14 DEX/14 CON/20 CHA (17 + Mirror of loss/hag hair). Patriar's memory could net you an extra +1 in STR but requires luck and isn't a noticeable difference either way.
• Not counting things other than what’s listed (i.e. draconic weapon, weapon coatings, haste, etc.)

Dice:
2d6(base weapon damage) + 1d4(Strange Conduit) + 1d6(hex) + 1d6(helldusk gloves) + 3d8 (level 2 divine smite) + 1d6 (hex proc from smite)
Total Dice: 5d6 (5-30) + 3d8 (3 – 24) + 1d4 (1-4) == 9 – 58 per swing

A) 8 Oathbreaker Paladin/4 Warlock -- most flavor, least damage

B) 6 Vengeance Paladin/2 Fighte4 GOO Lock – requires vigilance potion, gets action surge, keeps most of the flavor. Less Death Knight, more Vengeance Knight.
Total Dice: 9 – 58 per swing (level 2 smites)
Action Surge = 8 - 50 per swing (level 1 smites)
+3(enchantment) + 5(Char of 20) + 5(Inquisitor's Might) + 5(arcane synergy)
Flat Damage Total: 18 + 10 (GWM) = 28
1^st Turn Max Damage (4 Swings) = (58+28) x 2 + (50+28) x 2 == 328
C) 11 Fighter – 1 Warlock loses smite and aura of hate, but gets action surge, hex, and 3 feats still which frees potion slot for 27 STR, and 20 CHA.
Total Dice: 8 - 52 subtracting smite results in 5 – 28
+3(enchantment) + 8(STR of 20) + 8(str of 27 giantslayer) + 5(arcane synergy)
Flat Damage Total: 24 + 10 (GWM) = 34
1^st Turn Max Damage (6 Swings) = 28 + 34 = 62 x 6 == 372

D) 11 Fighter – 1 War Cleric: loses smite, loses hex, gets divine favor (1d4), gets another attack as a bonus action, and 3 feats still which frees potion slot for 27 STR, and 20 WISDOM – use hag haimirror of loss on WIS instead of CHA obviously.
Weapon Damage: 2d6
Extra Dice: 1d4(Strange Conduit) + 1d4(divine favor) + 1d6(helldusk gloves)
Total Dice: 3d6 (3-18) + 2d4 (2-8) == 5 – 26 per swing
+3(enchantment) + 8(STR of 20) + 8(str of 27 giantslayer) + 5(arcane synergy)
Flat Damage Total: 24 + 10 (GWM) = 34
1^st Turn Max Damage (7 Swings) = 26 + 34 = 60 x 7 == 420

Conclusions & Comparisons:
Comparing the better Paladin variant vs the better Fighter Variant:
Total First Turn Damage Range for build B: 150 - 332
Total First Turn Damage Range for build D: 273 – 420
Both Fighter variants are stronger than the paladin variants with the war cleric version being the best option in terms of max damage in the 1st turn. That's without including BM bonuses as well, which just put it over the top and it's not even close. As seen above, it also has a higher first turn floor and, due to fighter's consistent 3 attacks and 2 more turns of war cleric extra attacks, it is far and away the best option past turn 1 when you consider smite spell slot fall-off. However, it lacks any flavor (in my own personal opinion). Also, prior to level 11, it's a lot closer in terms of consistent output as fighter doesn't have its 3rd attack or its war cleric charges while paladin still has smite.
I'm sure there are other ways to boost the damage in minor ways by sacrificing AC or funneling items that would be more useful on other builds, but I assume that DEX gloves are going to be better served on an SSB or Sorcerer, so I tried to somewhat account for that here.
Lastly, you could go 6 Sorc 6 Paladin and lose either a feat or the vigilance elixir, but that leaves out action surge as well. This would be better in longer fights and bring more utility than either of the Paladin variants, but it has far less first turn burst than builds B, C, or D.

COMPETITIVE PLAY UPDATES

Demotion Protection Modifier

• The Demotion Protection modifier has been moved from below the Rank Progress bar into the bar itself to improve visibility when a player is in a Demotion Protection state.
• When Demotion Protection occurs, you will not be told when your progress is below that skill division’s range. If you lose your Demotion match, the Skill Rank adjustment will show only the adjustment from that match, instead of the net total of that match and the adjustment of the previous match.

New - Pressure Competitive Modifier

• This rank modifier appears for players who are at the far ends of the overall skill distribution.
• For players who are very high ranked (like Champion), this modifier will show when you don’t earn as much progress from winning a match or drop more progress for losing a match.
• For players who are very low ranked (like low Bronze), this modifier will show when you earn more progress for winning a match or drop less progress for losing a match.

Developer comments: This new modifier was added to show how our highest and lowest-skill players are being pushed toward a more average Rank. Competitive Play already calculates this Modifier to your Skill Rank adjustment, but it wasn't visible until now. Very high or very low-ranked players will see this Modifier after every match while they continue to maintain a Rank at the outer limits of the ranked spectrum. Climbing to the highest skill tiers like Grand Masters or Champions is not intended to be easy, and overcoming Pressure to reach the top is no longer a hidden challenge that players must face.
Grouping Restrictions
The Skill Tier legend was updated to show the changes to grouping restrictions that were applied in a previous update. The grouping restriction changes we applied are the following:

• Grand Master can now group within 3 divisions to be considered a narrow group.
• Champion can now group within 1 division to be considered a narrow group.

Developer comment: While the Season 10 changes to grouping up with friends have contributed to a large improvement in match quality for most players, we’re still looking to reduce queue times for players and groups, especially for higher ranks.
MATCHMAKING UPDATES

• When a player is currently on a loss streak, the matchmaker will try to avoid putting the player on a team that is statistically calculated to have a lower chance of winning.

Developer comments: Loss streaks never feel good. Before each match, we make a prediction about which team will win the game, based on the information we have about the players on both teams. This is how modifiers such as Consolation, Reversal, Uphill Battle, and Expected give or take additional Rank Progress after each Competitive Play match. Since most matches will have a team that has a slightly higher chance of winning, placing a player on the team with the higher chance who is currently on a losing streak is aimed at helping them have a fair chance of breaking that streak. While this won't guarantee they'll win, it does provide a helping advantage.

HERO UPDATES

• Armor health has been reverted to provide a flat damage reduction of 5 per projectile, up to a maximum of 50% damage reduction.
• Out-of-combat health regeneration changed from 20 health per second to 10 health per second + 5% of maximum health.

Developer comment: Armor is being reverted to its original functionality to better resistance rapid fire damage and shotgun-type weapons. Out- of- combat health regeneration has been a positive but subtle addition to the game, but had a much smaller impact for tank heroes due to their massive health pools, so we're adjusting it to heal for a percentage of maximum health.

• Tanks now have 25% damage reduction against critical headshot damage.
• Knockback resistance increased from 30% to 50%

Developer Comment: Although armor health will now be more effective in some of the more difficult matchups, it will also be losing potency against the typically slower, higher damage instances. To help reduce the feeling of tanks being taken out too quickly by high bursts of damage, the role-wide passive now provides improved defense against critical headshot damage.

JUNKER QUEEN

Developer Comment: Junker Queen being able to activate Commanding Shout while swinging her axe or during her Ultimate ability will make it more responsive for when an additional burst of health or movement speed is needed.

SIGMA

Developer Comment: Similar to how Graviton Surge functions, Gravitic Flux no longer needs line of sight to affect enemy targets in its area. There are a fair amount of counterplay options to deal with this ultimate so we're making it more reliable to grab enemy targets within its area of effect.

Developer Comment: Wrecking Ball has been performing much better after his recent update and these tuning changes will help his abilities feel more impactful.

Developer Comment: We have been increasing the value of some tank ultimate abilities to account for the increased health pools and it helps to make the decision of when to counter-swap more of an interesting tradeoff. Graviton Surge was still very useful to set up combos with other ultimate abilities but we want to makes sure it's powerful enough on its own.

Developer Comment: Junkrat's weapon has great damage output but is unreliable outside of close range due to its slow projectile speed, which is an intended drawback to its high output. The Season 9 health changes affected Junkrat more than most other heroes since it now requires one more shot to secure an elimination. We're increasing the damage on direct impacts to return to 2 direct hits for an elimination, without making his combo with Concussion Mine as deadly as before since that one is much easier to execute.
Frag Launcher

• Impact damage increased from 40 to 45 (Total damage increased from 120 to 125).

ECHO

Developer Comment: While the main benefit of Duplicate is a second health pool and the utility of another hero's abilities, it was often too difficult to charge an ultimate in the Duplicate time limit so we're increasing the bonus multiplier slightly.

I got this old 27 inch Panasonic TV today but it has some crazy issues. I got it because the owner said it was fine but when I got it home to test it has black lines across it, the picture is shaky and the picture goes off the screen. At least it was free. I hope you all enjoyed learning about Ava Max's personality type. I’m on the first floor of a 2 story apartment complex. Last week I found 1 singular maggot on my stove top, cleaned it up and saw nothing else until yesterday there were at least 10 wiggling around the same area (electric stove top, flat surface, no crevices) I checked and cleaned the microwave; nothing. Cleaned the food cabinets out, nothing rotting. I cleaned the fridge last week, also nothing. For about 12 hours there were none, I come home from lunch today and there are 2 new ones on the stove top, again. I threw out my entire trash can last night and am honestly so confused. The oven (right underneath the stove top) is also maggot-free. Any ideas on how to make this stop ?! Has this happened to anyone else ??
