Hi so this might be a bit of a long read but I have a bit of a complicated situation…
I’m wondering if I should pursue getting a CNA license. I’ve already passed the entrance exam but now I have to decide if it’s a good use of my time and money to enroll. Luckily I can afford the tuition ($1500) because I’ve been working 2 jobs for the past year and was able to save some up some money. I already hate one of my jobs and wouldn’t mind quitting and the other I could still pick up some work from if I needed extra cash but I’m going through a lot of life changes right now so I’m really not sure what the best course of action is (I’m currently taking a 2 week leave from both). I never really considered becoming a CNA before, or ever really looked into it either tbh, but I’ve always felt a calling to doing something that could actually help people (for the past 19 years I’ve floated around between food service, customer service, data entry, cleaning jobs and the like).
All this to say the whole reason I’m considering it is because my sweet, loving partner was the victim of a hit and run one week ago and sustained multiple injuries — fractured pelvis, ruptured bladder, severe road rash, but most concernedly a severe traumatic brain injury. One week in he’s doing really well but he’s going to need a lot of support and rehabilitation. We’re still in the ICU but soon enough he’ll be in an acute rehab facility and then eventually we’ll have to figure out a plan for getting him home (we’ll also most likely have to move if proper accommodations can’t be made as our current home isn’t very accessible).
I still have to talk to his social worker about the logistics and ask if it would even be possible for me to become his HHA (in my state CNA status immediately qualifies you as an HHA) but I feel like being ready with those skills and that information couldn’t hurt regardless, right? And the staff here have been so good to him and us it’s been inspiring so why not change paths? I didn’t have another “career” to lose anyway. I haven’t told friends or family yet because it almost feels crazy in a way but I can’t think of a reason not to just quit my job and do this.
I should mention it’s an accelerated course that would be completed in 3.5 weeks which would mean I could potentially be licensed by June 3rd. Luckily we also have a ton of support from friends and family so I’m not in this alone by any means but I’d like to get a more objective opinion on the matter before I bring the idea to anyone else.

TL/DR - Looking for a reason to spend?
Headline stats:
DTV main carry, 15 Trans heroes. SL34, Void 6-4-2, Overseer, Tower 25, Aspen 200, 2 DT3 (DTV and HHA) and 1 DT2 (SQH) then hard stopped by Core/Temple gap. Working to DT TBB but gonna take a long while.
Epically boring details:
So I started approx mid 2018 I think, could even have been later in 2017. Let's split the diff and say Jan 2018. Looking at my VIP 9 281,400 points, that means I spent 281,400/5000 *$100 on the game. IE $5,628 over 6 years (roughly), calling it $938 per year. I guess its more like 6.25 years now, so more like $900 at this point.
That's comparable to what I might spend on other forms of entertainment over the year (TV subs, incidental spend on movies, sports, etc...). You could argue it adds to the spend and not replaces it, but it falls into the bracket of "stuff I spend my money on to waste my time away when I could be doing something gainful".
Challenge #1: I'm only 17976 points away from VIP 10. IE $359. Close right. But I can't see ANY reason or enticement to spend that money. Not like VIP 10 rewards looks any decent.
Challenge #2: The existential crisis the devs need to consider. How are they going to convince me to spend more money on the game but in my small increments over the year. Q2 I guess is, do they care?
You see, the power creep is such that there's simply no chance I can progress at the rate I used to, even spending like I did. I'm falling off the curve, unless I spend at a higher rate. But that's an asymptotically decreasing curve, meaning that at this point my brain has crossed over the value versus cost curve. What can they do to convince me to spend just that little bit more again?
The final mindset they need to overcome is the concept of, "well I spent what I spent. I'll just play now and spread out my cost over time investment, meaning that next year the game will have been cheaper than other entertainment". And it's tempting. If I don't spend at all this year, by next Jan it'll have been 5628/7 = $804 average! But that's dangerous for the game if a small fraction of spenders like me think that, the sentiment only grows.
Anyway, just some food for thought. Not going to quit, but not thinking I'm going to spend. Meaning I fall further behind, meaning I'm less incentivized to spend, wash/rinse/repeat.

I mean i can see his moveset being him using ghost objects to try to hurt you, his HHA could be the ghost gun he uses against pucci before the universe reset and his GHA could give him Weather Forecast, i mean its not the first time a GHA gives a character a different stand, pucci (finale) has the same thing so i think it could be possible and i'd love to play as little emporio (i mean that guy carried part 6)

• since jailhouse lock doesn’t have any arms it’s going to have the ability to reshape its arms to any form or object it wants.
• miu can now integrate to the environment with jailhouse lock.

• jailhouse effect: enemies hit with moves that triggers the “jailhouse effect” triggers effects such as
• enemies will only be able to use three moves at a time.
• the heat gauge and health bar will appear blurry.
• the assist icon will appear blurry and won’t be able to use the assist.
the only way to stop this affect is to down miu miu.
stand mode off
• miu miu will shoot multiple gunshots at the enemy.if the enemy has the jail house effect they’re only gonna be able to see three bullets.

So, in Marvel's Spider-Man: Velocity, Peter built a suit that moves at super-speed, Peter with this suit was so fast that seemed to him to be in a world of statues, seeing all things as still standing. The same Peter was practically motionless compared to Haley, and was stated to move too fast to be perceived. Peter initially, even with this suit, that was speed him up, was barely able to see her. This wasn't even Haley at her full speed, in fact before Peter and MJ trap her in a warehouse, for 11 hours, to make her tired so that she would slow down. And only after Peter upgrade the suit, he was effectively capable to keep up with her.
Now, to calculate the speed of the Haley and of the Velocity Suit the formula to use in this case is:
Person's Speed = (Object's Speed/Object's Apparent Speed)*Person's Apparent Speed
Since Peter was practically motionless compared to Haley I will use his speed as object speed.
Now, what's the speed of Spider-Man? Base Peter can dodges rockets and even catch them, missiles are capable to reach this level of speeds, can easily dodged gunfire from Kingpin soldier, that got calculated to be a Mach 6.41 feat, (2100 m/s), and is able to keep up with Electro. Hello there, I’m back, in case I was considered to be here, and then gone. Sources from the text listed in the comments. The approach to the post is a bit different than the previous ones, more about that at the end of the post.

They have some amazing digital resources that are fun to play around with. I have no affiliation to them, I just dig their content and refer to them in this post.
China’s Economic Development: 3rd quarter
Let’s have a look at China’s economy in the third quarter of 2023, based on this report by Macropolo. Quarterly growth will likely bottom out at ~4%, as no “big bang” stimulus is forthcoming. Stimulus measures will take the form of modest fiscal spending to stabilize growth, but are insufficient to the task of supporting the private sector and boosting household consumption. Anemic property sales are a downside surprise that will magnify risks and weigh on consumption.
Generally, due to lack of stimulus, China’s economic activity is expected to remain weak, hitting an annualized growth of 4% in 3Q. Hand in hand with this, the suffering real-estate sector has not been dealt with as decisively as some expected, with a contraction of sales in 3Q. In combination with weak wage-growth, household consumption is going to develop below expectations (which imo cannot have been super high to start with). These factors also negatively influence Chinese imports. Additionally, households are currently forbidden from refinancing mortgages with high interest rates, pushing the domestic household savings rate in order to quickly pay off loans upfront instead of suffering from rising interest rates. Pushing the already high savings rate less disposable income for domestic consumption.
I could not find the data for the decline in wage growth compared to pre-pandemic levels identified by Macropolo, but I might have looked at the wrong reports. I was looking at the disposable income because I couldn’t find raw wage growth on the fly, which does not show the difference described in the report when comparing 2018 and 2019 to the most recent data of 2023. But, when in doubt, I think you’d do well to refer to them, not me.
At the half year mark, a meeting of the central polit bureau considering economic development and related measures going into the second half of the year was held. Insufficient domestic demand was identified as the current main issue, followed by hidden risks in focus industries and the complex international environment. The economic rebound since the pandemic was described to have a wave pattern. Accordingly, improving trust and domestic demand are objectives for the second half of the year. Measures are to include implementation of (here undefined) tax cuts, stimulus for production of cars, electric appliances, and tourism/leisure activities in the service sector. “The governments’ (central & local) spending ability shall be utilized more effectively to create demand driven growth.” The more recent risk in the real estate sector and the age-old risk of local government debt shall be addressed and mitigated. The Reform and opening as a guiding principle is stressed, experimental foreign trade zones and ports are to be designated in line with international standards (which China has historically neglected ever since ascending to be a part of the WHO in the early 2000’s). Strengthening of competitive ability of state enterprises and the improvement of the environment for private enterprises (reduction of random fees & penalties, resolution of delayed debt payments by governments) are further goals described in the report.
Now for an interesting read assuming a more zoomed out perspective on the style of economic leadership that has been cultivated in the past years. Hello there, I’m back, in case I was considered to be here, and then gone. Sources from the text listed in the comments. The approach to the post is a bit different than the previous ones, more about that at the end of the post.

They have some amazing digital resources that are fun to play around with. I have no affiliation to them, I just dig their content and refer to them in this post.
China’s Economic Development: 3rd quarter
Let’s have a look at China’s economy in the third quarter of 2023, based on this report by Macropolo. Quarterly growth will likely bottom out at ~4%, as no “big bang” stimulus is forthcoming. Stimulus measures will take the form of modest fiscal spending to stabilize growth, but are insufficient to the task of supporting the private sector and boosting household consumption. Anemic property sales are a downside surprise that will magnify risks and weigh on consumption.
Generally, due to lack of stimulus, China’s economic activity is expected to remain weak, hitting an annualized growth of 4% in 3Q. Hand in hand with this, the suffering real-estate sector has not been dealt with as decisively as some expected, with a contraction of sales in 3Q. In combination with weak wage-growth, household consumption is going to develop below expectations (which imo cannot have been super high to start with). These factors also negatively influence Chinese imports. Additionally, households are currently forbidden from refinancing mortgages with high interest rates, pushing the domestic household savings rate in order to quickly pay off loans upfront instead of suffering from rising interest rates. Pushing the already high savings rate less disposable income for domestic consumption.
I could not find the data for the decline in wage growth compared to pre-pandemic levels identified by Macropolo, but I might have looked at the wrong reports. I was looking at the disposable income because I couldn’t find raw wage growth on the fly, which does not show the difference described in the report when comparing 2018 and 2019 to the most recent data of 2023. But, when in doubt, I think you’d do well to refer to them, not me.
Personal thoughts: I did research on China’s economic development for my thesis a few years back, pre-pandemic. Pushing domestic consumption has been a key goal for a long time to tap into the domestic market as a source of independent economics growth, reducing dependency on exports, especially in light of growing wages and ageing population. The domestic market’s potential is huge, there’s a reason why everybody feels the need to expand to China, at the same time it is kind of under-utilized, which is natural considering China’s approach after opening up. Considering the traditionally high savings rate in China, e.g., due to lack of social safety mechanisms, the goal has been to set free these savings and make them available for consumption, which usually needs to go along with more social services etc. to reduce the need for individual preparation. All of the factors mentioned above tie into this bigger picture of insufficient uptake in domestic consumption. I searched the National statistics bureau’s database for more data on savings but couldn’t find any. You can find data up until 2019 in the OECD database, which illustrates the gap to other OECD countries. Also Greece has been owning it with up to -17.2% in 2013 lmao.China’s current economic policy
At the half year mark, a meeting of the central polit bureau considering economic development and related measures going into the second half of the year was held. Insufficient domestic demand was identified as the current main issue, followed by hidden risks in focus industries and the complex international environment. The economic rebound since the pandemic was described to have a wave pattern. Accordingly, improving trust and domestic demand are objectives for the second half of the year. Measures are to include implementation of (here undefined) tax cuts, stimulus for production of cars, electric appliances, and tourism/leisure activities in the service sector. “The governments’ (central & local) spending ability shall be utilized more effectively to create demand driven growth.” The more recent risk in the real estate sector and the age-old risk of local government debt shall be addressed and mitigated. The Reform and opening as a guiding principle is stressed, experimental foreign trade zones and ports are to be designated in line with international standards (which China has historically neglected ever since ascending to be a part of the WHO in the early 2000’s). Strengthening of competitive ability of state enterprises and the improvement of the environment for private enterprises (reduction of random fees & penalties, resolution of delayed debt payments by governments) are further goals described in the report.
Personal thoughts: All in all this reads like a stimulus for industry and SOEs and justified concern regarding real estate and local government debt, with the usual fluff regarding private enterprises and social services for the people etc. to push domestic consumption. I am skeptical about the adherence to international trade standards, but the recent outflow of foreign capital might be a reason to improve the general environment along with currency measures. But then again, even the US Chamber of Commerce has warned of uncertainties and risks of doing business in China at the beginning of May this year, while China keeps chipping away at foreign firms providing the necessary foundation for foreigners to invest in China. I consider the stress on the Reform and Opening to be an interesting point that I want to address in the next post, relating to political issues surrounding the death of Li KeQIang and an interesting article in one of the leading media outlets reporting on financial and economic issues.Shift to a more technocratic, central approach to economic leadership

The shard itself deals minimal damage.

236X - "This is my... Man In The Mirror!" Similar to Stand Off 236X. MITM does a stronger, longer and further ranged barrage. Amount of hits (10/12/14) and damage increases depending on L/M/H version of attack but so does endlag.
214X - "Take this!" MITM heavily punches the ground. Damage increases depending on L/M/H version of attack. Launches opponents upwards, height increases depending on version. Hits on the ground.
623X - "I'll start by slitting his throat!" A command grab. MITM reaches forward and wraps his arm around the opponent, the camera zooms in as MITM slices the opponents throat with a mirror shard while Illuso laughs. Range increases depending on L/M/H version of attack.
421X - "I was crouching down to grab this mirror piece." A counter. Illuso leans downwards, appearing to be scavenging the ground. "I'll only allow you to enter the mirror!" MITM quickly grapples forward. If connected he will then hold the opponent as a flash happens. MITM then throws the opponent away as they are now in the Mirror World. For 10s the opponent is locked out of specials and their style. All background characters will also disappear for this duration. Everything returns to normal once this time expires
"If you can see me then... It's too late for you now!" Activation pose based on Illuso initially attacking Abbacchio from the mirror (more akin to anime though). MITM then reaches out and grasps the opponent's arm. Illuso begins monologuing his ability while their arm slowly seems to break apart until half of their entire body is gone. MITM then begins pummeling the opponent, finishing with a punch sailing into the enemy and launching them away (KO screen appears here).

5L - Illuso does a swift backhand.
5M - Illuso does a massive kick upwards. (Based on him kicking Abbacchio)
5H - MITM swings heavily downwards. (Based on him punching Fugo)
2L - Illuso quickly jabs at a slight angle.
2M - Illuso does a hook with opposite arm.
2H - Illuso kicks his leg straight out. Causes HKD.

236X - "Then die!" MITM is briefly summoned to do a weak, short ranged barrage. Amount of hits (6/7/8) and damage increases depending on L/M/H version of attack but so does endlag.
214X - "That doesn't change a thing!" Rocks fly up behind Illuso and are punched at a slightly downward angle by MITM. Amount of rocks increases depending on L/M/H version of attack but so does endlag. Endlag is very minimal despite this.
421X - "I was crouching down to grab this mirror piece." A counter. Illuso leans downwards, appearing to be scavenging the ground. If hit, the camera pans over the opponent's shoulder looking down on Illuso as he pulls their arm out of a mirror shard. They are then crumpled. Duration of counter slightly increases depending on L/M/H version.
22X - "Anything reflective becomes a portal between these worlds!" A hitgrab. Illuso tosses a mirror shard in front of him. If input while a shard is out MITM's arm will reach out of the mirror and grab the opponent, pulling them violently into the ground. Distance thrown increases depending on L/M/H version of attack. The shard itself deals minimal damage.
Stand On Specials:
236X - "This is my... Man In The Mirror!" Similar to Stand Off 236X. MITM does a stronger, longer and further ranged barrage. Amount of hits (10/12/14) and damage increases depending on L/M/H version of attack but so does endlag.
214X - "Take this!" MITM heavily punches the ground. Damage increases depending on L/M/H version of attack. Launches opponents upwards, height increases depending on version. Hits on the ground.
623X - "I'll start by slitting his throat!" A command grab. MITM reaches forward and wraps his arm around the opponent, the camera zooms in as MITM slices the opponents throat with a mirror shard while Illuso laughs. Range increases depending on L/M/H version of attack.
421X - "I was crouching down to grab this mirror piece." A counter. Illuso leans downwards, appearing to be scavenging the ground. If hit, the camera pans over the opponent's shoulder looking down on Illuso as he pulls their arm out of a mirror shard. They are then crumpled. Duration of counter slightly increases depending on L/M/H version.
HHA And GHA:
"I'll only allow you to enter the mirror!" MITM quickly grapples forward. If connected he will then hold the opponent as a flash happens. MITM then throws the opponent away as they are now in the Mirror World. For 10s the opponent is locked out of specials and their style. All background characters will also disappear for this duration. Everything returns to normal once this time expires
"If you can see me then... It's too late for you now!" Activation pose based on Illuso initially attacking Abbacchio from the mirror (more akin to anime though). MITM then reaches out and grasps the opponent's arm. Illuso begins monologuing his ability while their arm slowly seems to break apart until half of their entire body is gone. MITM then begins pummeling the opponent, finishing with a punch sailing into the enemy and launching them away (KO screen appears here).
-Monologue: "Stand energy can't enter this realm without my permission. And I only gave your person the permission to enter."
-Post GHA dialogue: "I stand secure and unmatched inside the mirror."

"It's Anaesthesia!" (⬅️ + (R) ) - Andre chokes himself with a rope, becoming immune to all attacks, but drains HH gauge.
"It's Borrowing Into Your Foot!" (⬇️+⬇️ + X/Y/B )- Trap where Andre places a iron claw on the ground that goes into the opponents foot if hit, crumbling them. Placing Range increasing in X-Y-B order.
