TL;DR at bottom.
Hey everyone,
Here's the situation: the ceiling in my bathroom started leaking, and despite putting in multiple maintenance requests, there hasn’t been any action taken to fix it. With the most recent request, they didn’t even bother to come at all, and I realized yesterday that they marked the task as finished on the maintenance request website.
I was told that the leaking was the fault of the resident living above me, claiming that an overflowing toilet was the cause. They assured me they'd address it with them, but the problem hasn't stopped, it’s leaking almost daily now. What they are calling toilet water is leaking onto my bathroom floor and toilet and has now ruined the bathmat, my towels, anything I accidentally left in the bathroom. I even had to use the shower to go #1 because I didn't want that water dripping on m head. I've been putting in work requests since January, and I've followed up February, March, April, and May, more than once a month.
To top it all off, there's now black mold showing up around the hole in the ceiling, which I’m really concerned could be yet another serious health risk for me and my dogs. I’m feeling sick and I have no idea if it’s allergies, all of the mold, or some combination of the two. I’m also very concerned that my dogs are going to somehow get it on them or ingest it. At this point, I am really tired, stressed out, disgusted, etc. I just want to go home and get away from this place and regroup.
TL;DR: If I send in a letter to my leasing company demonstrating that I submitted multiple work requests that were ignored/marked as complete, can the fact that my ceiling is leaking sewage water and growing a substantial amount of black mold be used to make a clean break and get me and my dogs the hell out of this place?
My main concern is that they are just going to try to shuffle me into another apartment in the complex, but I spoke to a neighbor and the first thing he asked me when we met was if I was having issues with sewage dripping down, so it’s not just this unit it’s happening to.

I've been checking my NHS app a lot recently, it shows the CMHT psychiatry team just had a meeting without inviting me to it about my care, and I'm not even under the care of CMHT, this is my GP who's trying to get me a psychologist and not a psychiatrist. But now the meeting is over, I've had another update on my NHS app that says, According to the clinical notes system for secondary care services, (me) has been sent a choose and book letter to arrange a CBT assessment within the community health and wellbeing team. Before closing (me) to primary care mental health services, we will monitor this to ensure (me) responds. But CBT don't work on me, even IAPT refuses to let me try CBT again. So what do I do now? Do I just wait for this letter, then refuse/cancel this CBT? I know CBT inside out, are your thoughts real or not, etc. It just doesn't work for me, even my councillor said they don't believe CBT will do me any favours. Also would this be with IAPT? I hope so, cause I know they'll just refuse me.

I’m looking at buying this 2021 ID4. Lease turn-in. $23k, 25k miles. It’s being reconditioned for a “rear battery” issue? Red flag? The car fax is clean. I’ll get the service report and a battery health report before I buy it.
It should have around 12k left in the original powertrain warranty. Should I get a manufacturers extended warranty to ease my worries?
My main worry is I get lemon with a beat battery.this would be my first EV.
I test drove ID4, EV6,Ioniq 6, and Model 3. The price is right for the ID4. It drives well enough. It’s similar in size to my current daily driver.
Don’t really mind the UI/Ux issues people keep talking about. I drive roughly 50 miles a day, so the range is more than enough. I can charge at home and at work. I’ll start with an L1 and eventually get an L2.
Can I get opinions on whether to go ahead with this purchase?

My partner is the son of a diagnosed bipolar person, and my partner’s symptoms have been increasing over the past year. For the past two months, he’s been having polar opposite mood swings and it’s been wrecking him.
We aren’t sure what to do because his health insurance is AWFUL. We are still recovering financially from a normal visit (sinus issue) we had to go to urgent care for last summer.
He struggles most with depression, sexualized thoughts, hyper fixation on his interests, and being outbursty/rude at times in social settings. The biggest and most demanding symptoms are the depression and sexualization, because he’s falling back into porn and is very upset at himself for it.
Any advice to support him would be awesome!

2024.05.15 03:33 SincerelySasquatch I have had NAFLD for like 8 years and don't know much about it, now I have a growth.

I found out I have it during other imaging in a hospital years ago, and I don't recall any doctor doing anything about it or saying anything about it so I've just kind of shrugged it off. With all my health problems and how often I've switched doctors I usually forget to mention it to my doctors. I just thought it was a mostly-benign part of being fat. I've improved my eating to a much healthier diet, improved my overall health and lost a little but of weight. I've been doing intermittent fasting a year and a half and just got on ozempic for my diabetes and to help boost me back into weight loss fasting schedules.
But my liver enzymes were a little elevated for the first time a few months ago, the doctor says he doesn't worry about them unless they're more elevated. But I asked him to do imaging of my liver to check on it, so we did an ultrasound and they found a "neoplasm." Due to my fatty liver it was hard to make out what it is, he said it's about 1 cm. He's now ordered an MRI with and without contrast to try to figure out what it is, but there was an insurance issue and I'm having trouble reaching the woman in charge of the insurance issue. I'm losing my Medicaid at the end of the month and nervous I won't be able to afford the MRI. I guess I'm just nervous. I'm not finding much on Google on what it might be, the doctor said it might be a cyst but I also read it could be cancer. I'm just a little scared I guess. I think tomorrow I am going to call the doctor's office a third time and leave a message for this woman, and include in the message that I am losing my health insurance at the end of the month. Has anyone had cysts/growths etc in their liver, or know about them?

So I have been very sexually active lately with multiple partners (gay cruising) and I think I have an STI. So first symptom was a bit of irritation in the tip of my penis, mainly felt it in the morning, frequently urinating (relief from irritation when urinating), and most recent white discharge coming out of tip of penis.
Now I have some doxycycline that I got prescribed from a doctor a few months ago, a full treatment. He prescribed them and told me to take them before my results came back. I never took them because I didn’t think it was a STI and I wasn’t so I just kept them as a backup. But now I’m fairly sure I have an STI, I’m think chlamydia or gonorrhea, but I’m not sure. I currently do not have health insurance so this is a big factor. I do have access to a local gay clinic that will test me for free, however appointments could be hard to get with time being a week long or further.
So do you think I should start the antibiotics now and see when I can get tested again? I usually try to be tested once a month. Or should I just wait until the next appointment and go from there with actual doctor guidance? Right now I’m thinking of waiting till tomorrow, call the clinic, see how long I have to wait for an appointment, if I can’t get one this week, starting the antibiotics and going from there.

long story short -
my dad hasn’t been our lives since we were about three/four years old, we are now 20 & 21. i had found out last year that my dad had put us on his health insurance which ended up interfering with the health insurance that we were already on leading it to go inactive. i had called blue cross & asked if we can be removed & they said only he has permission to do that. i called his job and asked & i was told the same thing. in january his health insurance changed to united healthcare & i’m still being told we cannot be removed without his permission. there’s no way of contacting him, he does not respond to us & even blocked my sister when she messaged him on facebook asking him to remove us, he replied with “he cannot.” we found out he’s collecting for us every year & has been since 2022. we have been using his health insurance because we have no choice, we need to go appointments but the amount of bills being sent to us is actually absurd. is him putting us on his health insurance without us knowing & is refusing to remove us against our will illegal?? we want to take him to court but we don’t have money for a lawyer… is there any other options?

Hey, I rent in New York State and I need to relocate to a cheaper apartment as soon as possible. Rent is completely unaffordable. If my landlord finds a new tenant, can he still charge me the early termination clause? I'm trying to find a loophole out of this lease as soon as possible because I would love to be able to pay rent on time AND be able to eat.
He doesn't seem to know or care what New Yorks laws are. I found dead mice sitting on my top shelf that I never looked at months after moving in, he's tried to charge me late fees before the state wide mandated grace period, and has also sent his mom (lower tenant) to hand me the official letter for "14 days past due" to knock on my door repetitively until I answered it. I'm pretty sure that this is grounds against the law of right to quiet enjoyment or harassment.
The rent was late this month for mental health reasons being a priority and he was informed of this and has begun to harass me once again.
At what point do I contact a lawyer? I'm so sick of being compliant with him when he can't even comply with New York's laws.

Hi, I’ve donated plasma twice now- first time everything was fine, they let me donate the second time no issue. i got deferred after my second donation, and i just got a notification i’m receiving a certified letter from fedex in the mail (i have to sign for it so i’m picking it up tomorrow) . i’m kind of freaking out because i have no idea what it could be. when i went in for my third donation they said i was deferred and needed to see medical but medical said there was nothing on my file so they weren’t sure why and was probably just waiting for lab results. i’m in good health, never had an std or anything- i really don’t think it’s because of hiv/hep/ aids- but i’m wondering wtf they could be sending me a letter about and if i should be worried or if anyone else has dealt with this. i haven’t gotten a single call from them or anything. my mom does have anemia and low iron- is that genetic i don’t even know. it said online you could be permanently deferred for that. sorry my thoughts are all jumbled i’m just wiggin out thinking it’s something serious

We've been in our new home less than a year. It's a well-maintained 17 year old home in Western North Carolina (minimal disaster prospects).
We got a letter today from our insurance (Travelers) stating they were dropping us for the following reasons:
--Dwelling roof has granular loss shingles
--Inground pool has no automatic cover
--Dwellings are required to be insured at 100% of replacement cost. They estimated we were $500k underinsured.
I'm at a loss. The roof is 17 years old, but was inspected a year ago. We knew we needed to replace in a few years due to age, but the inspection report didn't note anything but age.
The pool is mind blowing to me. It is an inground pool surrounded by an aluminum fence. Why on earth do we need an automatic pool cover? (We do have a winter cover)
Our replacement cost was determined by our agent. I suspect they took the sales price - the value of the lot. This is the one thing I concede is probably necessary because I questioned it myself when we bought the policy, but was told our coverage was adequate.
What on earth is going on? We've never filed a claim in 12 years of being homeowners. There wasn't an option to increase coverage or change anything--they just said we would not be renewed in one month.
Anybody else getting letters like these?

I have been waiting for this for so long and now I feel stuck. I am trying to understand too much too quickly and feel burnt out instead of happy.
I have many questions but don’t know who to ask so if anyone can answer any of the following questions, it would be really helpful.
  1. As a Canadian student, how did you finance your education? If you took a student line of credit, how does the interest work? Is it enough to cover the tuition and living costs? For OSAP, do they give less because it’s a Bachelor’s program? How do you plan on paying off the debt? I’ll be 29 when I graduate so this has been scaring me a little. Will I be too old to handle this kind of debt?
  2. How to find proper accommodation close to or on campus so late in the cycle? I’m finding it difficult to understand what may be a scam. I also don’t understand the double occupancy aspect so if anyone could clarify that? Even the areas are quite new to me so any help with this would be great.
  3. I have a full-time remote job in Canada right now that is decently flexible. I plan on continuing it while I study through the 5 years. Does anyone have experience with this? Do I need to declare it to Ireland or just on my tax returns in Canada?
  4. I am confused about how the schedule may look for the first two years and can’t find it online. Would you have an old time table or schedule that I can refer to?
  5. Are we allowed to study during the spring terms to fast track the courses?
  6. If I wanted to practice in USA after getting my degree, is it accredited there? Would I just have to do the licensing procedure or would I have to study for 2 more years in a US dental school?

Can somebody please explain to me why I can get the Dexcom one month supply cheaper without insurance than with my insurance? My daughter (9f) was recently diagnosed with type 1 this past February and I am already a bit fed up with this $210 dollar added expense every month just to monitor my daughters health when she has “good” insurance. I discovered yesterday I could get the same 1 month supply on Amazon pharmacy without insurance for $167. I do not understand how that is possible. Unfortunately by the time I realized and ordered it off Amazon it says it won’t be here until Thursday and my daughter’s sensor expires tonight. She has formed a bit of an anxiety around not having the Dexcom so she was upset about the fact of having to go to school tomorrow without one. This forced me to have to go over to cvs to get the sensors using insurance! Not really looking for much, just frustrated! Thank you for listening to my rant!

Hello,
I am 23 years old and have recently applied for the ARMY.
Unfortunately my application was rejected for two reasons. Those reasons being, "Two or more episodes of depression between 2018 - 2024" and "Two noted episodes of anxiety in 2018 - 2022".
Now I've read the JSP and seen that what they are quoting is true, however I no longer suffer from depression and never really did to begin with. Those episodes of depression and anxiety occurred at similar times because my uncle died and as it was my first ever bout with loss, i fell into depression, then after a couple of years, my other uncle (more like a father) died also.
Now I've already sent an email to my current doctor and asked for help in re-evaluating my mental health and to see if a doctors letter and/or a psychiatric evaluation would help my case. I am not the sad teenager i once was, and i am definitely much more confident, stable and tougher that i was then. I'm not saying this to toot my own horn but to show I am not the immature person i once was.
My question is, what would help my case, and what could i do prove my mental stability.

To our proprietor Steve, and our managers Bryan and Patrick:
There is dissension within the ranks, and if the following items are not resolved as we outline
below, we’re prepared to drag this house of cards to the ground.
Before we proceed with our grievances, numerous and shocking, and the demands to resolve
them; allow us a moment for introductions.
We, are the Ghosts of Gideons, the poor and unfortunate souls upon whom you have built your
cookie empire. We are the many, the unseen, and as of the disastrous meeting May 6th, 2024, the
decidedly unheard.
Many of us have approached management and ownership multiple times with helpful hints,
strong suggestions, and desperate pleas to rectify a myriad of health, safety and operational
concerns- with nearly all of them being dismissed or ignored entirely.
Now, we, the collective, have banded together to deliver this tome- not as a warning of what is to
come, but as a final demand to resolve the issues outlined herein. You may dismiss us
individually, but you cannot ignore all of us together.
Make no mistake, if the following solutions are not implemented with immediate effect, we will
do everything in our power to topple this cookie castle permanently.
We should start by informing you, that, yes- we are but lowly workers for Gideons, however, we
are supported by families who hold prominent positions in the community as lawyers, labor

representatives, publicists, and county government workers. Families who love us, and want to
see us remain safely and fairly employed.
Through our vast, and well connected network the following steps have already been
implemented:
1) A lawsuit for your numerous unfair and unsafe labor practices and work conditions has
been drafted.
2) A press release, along with a copy of this letter, have been sent to local and national
media.
3) We have created social channels to connect directly with customers and inform them of
the reprehensible work conditions we are enduring.
4) We have filed health and safety reports with local government bodies detailing the
extensive issues we are faced with at the Springs location.
5) We have informed Disney Springs leadership of our position relating to the above, and
below in this letter.
In all cases, these competent bodies are awaiting our word. If the demands listed herein are not
satisfied immediately, we will, in tandem with the above, begin a campaign to inform the world
of your numerous transgressions, filing lawsuits and media coverages exposing you and the
Company for the shill that it is, and we will not stop until the Bakehouse bakes no more.
We should also mention that should any attempt be made to retaliate against us, including
termination, reducing our hours, benefits, or taking other pervasive actions against any Gideons
employee, will promptly result in our bringing legal class-action.
The time has come for you, our leaders, to actually lead. This means spending money where
money must be spent, and making the following operational changes, so that we can all continue
to exist in harmony, and not feel like we’re trapped on an 1800’s plantation- working for the big
house.
1) Communication- How dare you drag the entire workforce to a 9AM meeting,
demanding our presence, and then talk directly at us with the most mundane drivel we’ve
ever heard. Everything dictated today could have been very well sent as an email-
especially when you did not allow for any discussion between us, the workers who
actually make your business run, and the disconnected upper-management who are hell
bent on implementing misguided and inefficient policies. Do not call us in for a
mandatory meeting again when the points can be covered in an email, unless you intend
to open the floor for actual conversation and listen to what we have to say.

To that end, since our voices were silenced this morning, we demand the following:
● Cold Brew- We will not adopt the ‘bartender’ shaking style of preparing the cold
brew drinks. When we have 10+ beverages queuing to be made, shaking each
drink 10 times will severely impact our ability to be efficient. This is but one
example of Steve’s desire to have ‘form over function’. We understand there may
be a ‘look’ you’re going for, but when it compromises our ability to efficiently
perform our function, we refuse. We demand to be allowed to resume our ‘stir
stick’ preparation immediately.
● Point System/ Order Accuracy- Under no circumstance should Management take
the side of the Guest over the word of the employee. Too often we see guests
complain that an order was incorrect, and Management issues a point to an
employee. This must stop immediately. We demand you implement a ‘please
check your screen for order accuracy’ procedure where the guest confirms their
order before they pay, and remove the ‘point’ system. If the guest confirms the
order, it reduces the possibility for an inaccurate order.
● Inconsistent/ Inaccurate menu boards and Social Postings- The inside Menu
Board has been outdated for nearly two years. It must be updated immediately to
remove items we no longer sell (IE Coke Products) and ingredient offerings (IE
Banana WALNUT). By correctly labeling the items, it reduces the stress on us in
having to confirm that certain items have nuts, or not being yelled at by guests
who are disgruntled that we no longer sell Coke products. Further, there are
multiple social media inaccuracies when describing new products (IE peanut
butter buttercream, VS the actual peanut butter cream cheese). These inaccurate
product descriptions hurt the brand, and cause confusion with the guests when
they come to order these products. Also the new umbrellas are not UV resistant;
therefore any mention of them ‘protecting you from the sun’ is false, and may
result in legal action from guests. We demand you only post accurate descriptions
to the website/ social media to avoid further guest/ employee confrontation.
● HR- Given the fact that Cynthia engaged in using racial slurs during the May 6th
meeting, referring to guests as gypsies and hoodlums, we demand her firing and
removal immediately. Multiple members of staff were deeply offended by the
hurtful stereotypes that Cynthia perpetuated, and we no longer have any trust in
her ability to lead this organization, especially from a HR perspective, when she
herself seems to harbor unfair and demeaning racial views.
● Management- We cannot express with limited words the level of dissatisfaction
we maintain for Drew. The staff, in our entirety, have never dealt with such
incompetent, slothful, and wasteful behavior. Drew consistently stays on his
phone, refusing to help the team accomplish any of their tasks, and barely exudes
a modicum of effort through his rare action of helping build cake boxes or taking
out trash before disembarking on a break (which none us other managers/leads are

cookie king, bringing in circa $40,000 per day, affording you a life of luxury, and not
fairly compensate the employees that are making Gideons everything that it is. The
cookies are good, but make no mistake, as was stated during the May 6th meeting, the
customers come for us. I can’t imagine what they’ll say when they learn about the
slave-like conditions in which we work, especially with Auntie Anne’s earning $18 per
hour + tips.
3) Hours- Part time is up to 30 hours per week, full time is 30 hours or more. We must have
a guaranteed number of hours per week, pending our availability. For example, if a
full-time employee has open availability, they must be scheduled for 40 hours. If a
part-time person has open availability, they must be scheduled for up to 30 hours per
week. This is to ensure we have a stable and uniform weekly income, guaranteed by our
base pay and consistent hours.
4) On Call- All shifts that are ‘on- call’ must be guaranteed a full 8 hour shift, regardless if
the employee is called into work or not. We clear our day and make ourselves available to
cover the Company, and we demand to be compensated a full 8 hours ($16 per hour) for
the flexibility to suit the Company’s needs.
5) Pay Protection- In the event that the store is closed for any reason, employees currently
scheduled to be working during the closure must receive all payment for the shifts they
were scheduled for. If the AC goes out again, and we’re down for several days, those of
us scheduled must receive full compensation for shifts as scheduled.
3) Health & Safety- While it seems that Gideon’s is based primarily on the ‘cool factor’ in how
our processes look from a customer perspective, we are still a fully functioning kitchen and retail
location with a haphazard health and safety process, at best.
To ensure a properly safe workplace and customer experience, we demand the following changes
immediately:
1) Shorts/ Heat Safety Prevention- We’ve been told time and time again that the ‘Disney
Contract’ we cannot wear shorts. After having multiple conversations with Disney
Springs leadership and the Unite Here 362 representatives, we have come to understand
that a change in uniform can be initiated by amendment. No longer can the ‘look’ of
something overpower the safety of us. In terms of being outside in the sunlight and heat,
we demand that the contract be amended immediately to account for a uniform change,
thus allowing us to wear shorts within the next five days. It is dangerous for us to be
outside in the heat and sunlight during high-heat (more than 70 degrees fahrenheit) days,
wearing all black and long pants. We are unwilling to compromise our personal health
and safety to appease your ‘style guide’ insisting on long pants, but we’re happy to
maintain a look via style guide for shorts. In addition, we have seen multiple large/
battery operated fans in use around Disney property, keeping other Cast cool during these
heat waves. We demand that large fans are procured and placed in strategic outside

locations within the next 5 days, so that we may have respite during high temp days. The
cooling towels and neck fans you have provided are ineffective.
2) Egress- We bakers are trapped. There is no second means of fire egress from the kitchen,
and should a fire or other disaster occur with the ovens, we would be trapped and unable
to escape. We demand you add in additional egress from the bakery, into the outside
alley. We understand this will require planning and stairs, however, planning must be
commenced immediately. We will not work in an unsafe environment, and with no place
to escape in the event of an emergency, we will be burned alive.
3) Handicap accessibility- Our retail location does not comply with ADA mobility
standards. The counters must be moved to allow an employee who utilizes a wheelchair
or other mobility device the proper space to move behind the counters and throughout the
kitchen. While yes, a wheelchair will ‘fit’, they will be unable to properly move. We are
discriminating against hiring ADA employees due to the way the store is currently
overcrowded and built. We demand proper spacing be added within the next 90 days.
4) Safety Training & Procedures- As of right now Operations have not developed any safety
or training procedures relating to fire, bomb threat, active shooter, lighting/ rain, accident
or other hazard. We are provided with no training in the event of any of these
emergencies, and we are all woefully unprepared with a common knowledge of how to
address emergency situations. We demand that a safety plan be developed and provided
to each of us in writing, and that we receive sufficient training of the new procedures
within 14 days.
5) Sanitation- Our baking sheets never get cleaned. We demand that you hire an outside
vendor to pick up used equipment nightly at close, and deliver a clean set at the same
time, so that we may rotate clean equipment daily. It is too large a task for us to wash in
house, and this needs to be automated for us. Our current sanitation procedure is
inadequate to ensure proper health and safety standards.
6) Bathroom breaks- Many of us suffer from various biological disabilities that force
frequent trips to the restroom. We simply cannot ‘hold it’ until we’re on break. IF we
need to go to the restroom, we must be immediately accommodated to do so without
repercussions. While this is not common, it does happen, and must be allowed.

Demand Timeline:
May 11th- Cold Brew BartendeShaking preparation is disbanded, stir stick preparation is
reimplemented.
May 11th- Cynthia is terminated immediately for using racial slurs during a company meeting.
May 11th- Drew is demoted as manager immediately for failure to act as a leader, and help his
team, undergoing an immense retraining before he is reinstated.
May 12th- All employees earn a base rate of $16 + tip share.
May 12th- An automatic/ mandatory 7.5% gratuity is placed on all guest orders.
May 12th- All ‘on call’ shifts will be guaranteed a full 8 hours ($16 p/h), regardless of working
or not.
May 12th- Lead/ Trainer pay to increase to at least $19 per hour when training, and $18 per hour
at all other times + tip share.
May 11th- Planning for additional egress to begin. Must be fully installed and operational no
later than June 20th, 2024.
May 17th- A $1,200 bonus is paid to all employees who worked during the last three pay
periods. This bonus covers the lower wages suffered from the ‘no tip’ asking policy.
May 13th- Schedules to be created, guaranteeing all ‘part-time’ employees up to 30 hours per
week based on employee availability, and ‘full-time’ employees at least 40 hours per week,
based on employee availability.
May 14th- Commercial grade fans outside submitted for approval to Disney, installed upon
approval.
May 15th- Shorts implemented for all workers, all shifts, when the outside temperature is more
than 70 degrees fahrenheit.
May 14th- Sanitation company must be contracted to pick up used baking sheets nightly, and a
second set of baking sheets to be procured to ensure sufficient sanitation of products in direct
contact with food.
May 24th- All health & safety procedures will be drafted and provided to all employees in
writing, with in-person training to occur with all employees. New hires shall receive the new
procedures and same in person training as a part of their onboarding.
August 4th- Handicap/ADA compliance. The store and kitchen must be rearranged/ decluttered
to allow for the hiring of mobility device users, including wheelchairs, to comply with ADA
layout requirements.

While the above demands only scratch a portion of the hazardous operational procedures, we are
confident that should they all be addressed and the solutions we have demanded are implemented
within the allotted timelines, we can avoid a disastrous fallout and continue to work together to
ensure Gideons remains a successful operation.
We understand that this will most likely come as a shock, not less because ownership and
operations seem to be blissfully unaware of the vast deterioration, but moreover, the inane
procedural overhauls implemented in today’s meeting simply reek of disconnection to the reality
of the process, and will only serve to further delay and complicate the already struggling
operation.
It is time to see beyond all of the narcissistic ‘it looks cool, so we’re going to do it my way’
absurdity, and recognize that the above demands come from your soldiers on the frontlines. A
tough pill to swallow, but it is medicine critical to survival, nevertheless. We further recommend
that all upper management leadership work at least one eight hour, front of house shift per six
months, to ensure they remain fully connected and relevant.
We must issue a final word of warning: should this letter be ignored, or any of the above
demands are not implemented, or any retaliatory action be taken, it will be met with the most
severe consequences.
We know that you are amassing a fortune, and all we Ghosts ask for is a fair wage, a safe and
comfortable working environment, and to be treated with dignity and respect.
We’d hate for the adoring public to learn of any other reality. This is your one, final, opportunity

Most of Background: So I have been dealing with different illnesses that is a repeated pattern since I was possibly 12 years old. I would frequently have nasty migraines, stomach bugs, food poisoning, and respiratory infections out of the blue. It gotten to the point of my family always saying “there’s always something wrong with you”, “you’re just exaggerating”.
When it came to 2017, I started gaining rashes as allergic reactions. It couldn’t be classified as hives even though it looked the part because it would sting like a bitch instead of itching. It would run through out my body whenever I ate every so often and that was only on of the reactions as I had a second of my skin swelling as if it was a mosquito bite but worse and when the swelling went down, it would leave scars behind.
I went to an allergist and nothing popped up on the regular tests, but something popped up on the chemical patch test. The name of the chemical was called Balsam of Peru, it’s mainly a preservative that is in your common foods/beverages, cleaning products, and aerosols. I continued to have random allergic reactions here and there as it wasn’t feasible to follow a diet that strict in a household like mine.
Then came the end of 2019, I was having trouble with my stomach and would randomly gag from November til Jan 2020. I would literally start throwing up even if I had nothing in my stomach. I went to doctors but they kept thinking I was pregnant and would say my vitals were fine therefore there’s nothing wrong. One day mid Jan, I had throw up for the last time but there was something different..I couldn’t get up. I lost all strength in my legs and half of my strength in my arms. I went to the hospital and they did X-rays and scans just to say there was nothing wrong and it might be a virus that hit my nervous system. The next day they boot me out with nothing. I had to learn how to walk all over again like a baby until I gained my strength with only the help of my family which took about a month. Throughout that time I was still feeling sick and gagging/throwing up.
This is the point when my mom decides to get a referral to a GI and they look through my records from the hospital to find out I was backed up with waste up to my ribs. They did a horrifying flush on me and prescribed me linzess. It was getting me to poop more frequently but I still was feeling pretty sick often, it was manageable though.

I thought it was all in my head at this point and tried my best in school but had low performance when I was used to easy A’s. I began to have yeast infections every so often. The vaping became chronic and whenever I would drink I would have alcohol poisoning like symptoms that were uncontrollable to the point where a couple of times I ended up in the hospital to get my stomach to stop contracting. I stopped all drinking and started becoming a religious smoker to deal with my symptoms, school, work, and every other stress in my life. All it did was make my health plummet even faster.
I finally got diagnosed with SIBO at the end of 2021 and thought “finally something!”, the GI thought to cure it was to give more laxatives to get my bowels to move more frequently. Instead it would turn me into a balloon that was about to burst but could not push anything out. The GI gave up anf I decided to move on. At this point I had to take a break from school because I was so tired whenever I woke up in the morning that I either slept completely through my alarms or I couldn’t physically get up out of bed. I constantly was having stomach issues. My yeast infections started coming at least 2x a month. I had so bad urinary incontinence that I had to wear diapers. I was dealing with so much stress with family, working, trying to make ends meet, trying different doctors that never helped and telling me different things. I was dealing with a psychologically abusive bf. Nobody believed how bad I felt everyday. How hard it was for me to eat, think, overall function like a human being. My bf seen it everyday but refused to acknowledge that when he says he understood that his actions would always say otherwise. It all mentally broke me and I crashed hard.
This brings me to practically the present. I cut contact with the EX bf and parents. I’m low contact with the rest of my family. I quit vaping for good, but the damage is already done. I am now on Wellbutrin and trying to pick up the pieces that are shattered. It’s been 6 months but my symptoms are worsening instead of getting better. I can’t hold down a 9-5 job, my stomach can’t and won’t tolerate anything. I starve myself most days, drink water and electrolyte drinks whenever my stomach take it.
Everyday I feel weak, exhausted, brain fog so bad that I can’t count to 5, stomach hurt. The last thing that made me question my entire existence, Saturday night I was starving so I made rice thinking it was the safest thing. The next morning I felt so drunk that I couldn’t function, I was so dehydrated and in so much pain I went to urgent care. The doctor looked at me as if I was on drugs, refused iv, and told me my symptoms were caused by trauma, it’s all in my head. She refused a work note as well. I felt a tad bit better after some electrolytes from home and went to sleep for work. I slept through my alarms and woke up 2.5 hrs late (total 14 hrs). I couldn’t move my body, text manager. She called after the shift explaining that she isn’t letting me go because of my illness, bc I failed to tell her about the day prior so she could plan accordingly. She wants me to focus on my health, it would’ve been kind if I wasn’t already drowning in debt and couldn’t even afford rent.
The reason why I wrote everything I could is because 1. I believe a lot of this is relevant to each other regarding SIBO and Candida in some way 2. It will help me for my future

I’m a 22 year old female in the US. I currently don’t have a job as I have been let go yesterday due to my unsuspecting symptoms and lack of communication. I can’t keep up with the regular 9-5 jobs and it’s turning into a pattern of me burning myself out. I don’t have anybody to rely on other than myself and I can’t get afford health insurance at the moment.
Current Symptoms: - Extreme Fatigue/Exhaustion - SouCurdling/Spicy tummy feeling? - Nausea/Contractions (especially after physical activity and eating or drinking) - Bloating/Gas/Gurgling -Rancid Smelling Poop - Acne - Regurgitating oil/grease - Recurrent yeast - Brain Fog/Confusion - Urinary Incontinence - Body Rashes/Allergic Reactions -Sugar Cravings - Migraines - Cotten Mouth/Dehydration - Malabsorption/Continual Hunger - Thinning Hair - Weight Loss - Weak Pelvic Floor? Tight/Tense Muscles? - Food in Stools (Not often) - Drunkness Feeling After Carbs? - Acid Reflux - Depression/Anxiety - Weak Immune System
Food Sensitivities that have developed: - Dairy -Gluten - Soy - Gastric foods/spices/drinks (including onion and garlic) - Processed Foods - Broths - Sugar (Fruit and All) - Starch - Acid (Fruits/Vinegars) - Medications (NSAIDS/Anti-Acids)
Tried treatments that I can remember: -Xifaxin (2 weeks) - Ortho Molecular Ortho Spore (2-3 months worked wonders but relapsed) -Dietitian: Low Fodmap Diet (3 months didn’t help) - Reuteri - B12, VitD, other vitamin supplements - Physical Therapy - Fluconazole - Boric Acid -Laxatives (basically all) - Collagen Peptides - Plant Based Protein Powder - Yoga
Most of Background: So I have been dealing with different illnesses that is a repeated pattern since I was possibly 12 years old. I would frequently have nasty migraines, stomach bugs, food poisoning, and respiratory infections out of the blue. It gotten to the point of my family always saying “there’s always something wrong with you”, “you’re just exaggerating”.
When it came to 2017, I started gaining rashes as allergic reactions. It couldn’t be classified as hives even though it looked the part because it would sting like a bitch instead of itching. It would run through out my body whenever I ate every so often and that was only on of the reactions as I had a second of my skin swelling as if it was a mosquito bite but worse and when the swelling went down, it would leave scars behind.
I went to an allergist and nothing popped up on the regular tests, but something popped up on the chemical patch test. The name of the chemical was called Balsam of Peru, it’s mainly a preservative that is in your common foods/beverages, cleaning products, and aerosols. I continued to have random allergic reactions here and there as it wasn’t feasible to follow a diet that strict in a household like mine.
Then came the end of 2019, I was having trouble with my stomach and would randomly gag from November til Jan 2020. I would literally start throwing up even if I had nothing in my stomach. I went to doctors but they kept thinking I was pregnant and would say my vitals were fine therefore there’s nothing wrong. One day mid Jan, I had throw up for the last time but there was something different..I couldn’t get up. I lost all strength in my legs and half of my strength in my arms. I went to the hospital and they did X-rays and scans just to say there was nothing wrong and it might be a virus that hit my nervous system. The next day they boot me out with nothing. I had to learn how to walk all over again like a baby until I gained my strength with only the help of my family which took about a month. Throughout that time I was still feeling sick and gagging/throwing up.
This is the point when my mom decides to get a referral to a GI and they look through my records from the hospital to find out I was backed up with waste up to my ribs. They did a horrifying flush on me and prescribed me linzess. It was getting me to poop more frequently but I still was feeling pretty sick often, it was manageable though.

2024.05.15 02:53 Glittering-Eye-8934 HSA contribution question

I'm a W2 employee and the employee health insurance premiums are going up 39% this coming enrollment year (!!!) due to high employee utilization. I looked on the marketplace and can get a similar plan for $400 less per month. I always use an HSA and I cannot go through payroll deduction if I buy a marketplace plan. Tax-wise, will it be worthwhile to still purchase my own plan with an HSA off the marketplace or should I go with the employer sponsored plan and HSA?
