My best friend and I have been close since school so for around 10 years now, we’ve seen eachother through a couple of awful relationships, been in single girl phases and spent pretty much every weekend together. Until we both got into relationships again, we don’t see eachother as much anymore which is fine we’re both busy.
Unfortunately my friend was coerced to move in with her long term boyfriend, as his tenancy was coming to an end and he insisted she joined him on his next one, and if she didn’t he’d of been really upset. She exclusively told me that she’d love to live with a friend before a boy, but that she couldn’t do this because he’d be upset.
This is now a theme in their relationship, they live together and spend every weekend together, and eat dinner together every night. They don’t have friends over to their place, he has had a tantrum when she said I was coming over for lunch and he refused to let me come as it was ‘messy’. She can’t even go to the cinema or the gym alone, he insists that they have to do things together and she just goes along with it! She won’t see films in the cinema because HE doesn’t want to see them! He’s also said before that they can’t go to the gym seperately because they need to ‘support eachother’ and go on the journey together…every time I hear a story it’s piecing more things together in my brain and I don’t feel good about it. I can’t believe she’s actually happy and wanting to be with this person long term? He’s attended gathering at my house where I have warned her it’s just girls and no guys are attending, and then made her leave early because he was bored.
He also gets annoyed at her whenever she makes plans with me (maybe once every month) because HE wanted to have plans with her on that day too. I’ve noticed her become a shell of herself, she doesn’t take care in her appearance like she used to. She doesn’t seem happy when we meet up and he’s just smothered her entire life outside of work. I thought maybe the change was just because she’s settled down, but the stories she tells me of him getting annoyed at her for making plans with me just make me think differently…
So she fought her corner and said I don’t care if you’re annoyed at me, I want to see my friend and have a day out so I’m going to do that. We went on a road trip, I drove there and back probably around 100 miles round trip. I didn’t ask for fuel money, and I didn’t ask for money for the car park when we were there. But she didn’t even give me a ‘thank you’ or offer to contribute anything towards fuel or parking. This has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I also hate the situation she’s in with her relationship. It’s making me not feel so loving towards her, the fact she was ungrateful and not helpful, and the fact she’s losing her personality, and not doing anything about the blood sucking man in her life. I have so much anger towards him and this situation and I want to go the fuck off on him but I can’t.

I’m currently having motorcycle driving lessons but I don’t understand when to shift, especially when to down shift, when do you know you’re going the correct speed to up/down shift? Can someone explain pls

Hello everyone,
I purchased three Spotlight Plus cameras last Black Friday and got them all set up just before Christmas. They were functioning flawlessly until March 19, 2024. As of now, two of the cameras are still working perfectly, but the third one can’t connect to the WiFi anymore.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
My WiFi is working perfectly, and the signal strength is strong. I’ve restarted my WiFi router numerous times with no success in resolving the issue. I also tried restarting the problematic camera by unplugging and replugging it multiple times. I removed the camera from the Ring app, performed a factory reset, and then added it back. However, it still shows stuck at the 19/03/2024 screen. Does anyone have any tips or has anyone faced a similar issue? I’d appreciate any advice or suggestions you could provide!

Background: There’s this girl who I feel I have an issue with but I’m not sure. It’s a long story and I don’t know if just in my head. She gives off this vibe like she secretly doesn’t like me. I swear, she treats me differently than everyone else and I confronted her about it but she continues to treat me differently. I keep wondering what is wrong me. My mum married my broke father on the premise of his ‘potential’ - surprise surprise potential is only of value when it translates into reality. She also foolishly choose to be a housewife and birth 3 kids which definitely didn’t make things any better.
Both of them argued a lot about money when my siblings and I were growing up, often shouting at us that it was our fault they were poor because of having to provide for us. (I mean that’s what you sign up for when you choose to have kids?)
They’re both now old (mid 60s) and still poor by my dad’s foolish financial decisions - whenever he would come into any little money as a sales agent, he would immediately go out and spend it on dumb things (just some of the examples are when he bought a car to donate to charity, or fruit baskets for the entire neighbourhood) just so he can bask in admiration of others and appear as successful and generous rather than saving and investing in tangible assets. He’s been heavily in debt all his life, bankrupt twice, and still hasn’t learnt his lesson.
My pitiful mother is reliant on him to throw any little pennies her way, and he does so while sneering at her for not dressing better nor beautifying herself for him - with what money? To go where? He has some audacity to talk when he’s fat, balding, has lost half his teeth and has his protruding belly hanging out. Although he doesn’t work now, he still orders my mum around the house ‘get me a glass of water’ ‘get me my shoes’ while he sits on the couch watching TV all day.
I’ve told myself that when my dad starts to deteriorate, he’s on his own cos I couldn’t care less. After all, if he’s not even bothered to have the initiative for himself, why should anybody else.

I’m 21F and I have always had regular cycles. I took birth control (pill) in high school but stopped after a couple of months, so I haven’t been on it in a few years. My periods usually last 5-6 days, but this last cycle was from May 3-8. During this time my boyfriend came to visit and we had sex and I took a plan B, he left on the 8th but then I started my period again on the 11th. It’s not heavy or light, it’s a regular flow. I don’t really know what’s going on, I have never had period sex until recently and I took a plan B so I’m thinking that this may have caused it, but I’m also scared it might indicate something more serious. This has never happened to me before so any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated, thank you!

I’ve loved Downton abbey for nearly a decade and I can’t be the only one who liked the first Downton abbey movie significantly more than the second one. The first one just felt like a special - not too much changed from the end of the show but Tom found a new love interest, Thomas got a “happy ending” and majorly all the characters were allowed happiness that didn’t deviate to much from a normal follow-up to the end of the show. However, now that Violet’s gone, Thomas is supposedly gone, Mary has admitted that her relationship with her husband will never mirror her past one, Cora & Robert are thriving and not dying, and Tom has a complete family, I really don’t know what’s left for them to do? And I’m scared it’ll deviate so extremely from the end of the show and beyond the character’s endings that it’ll change everything for the worse. Does anyone else feel this way?? If so, what are you most worried about them messing up? :,)

I live on the 12th/top floor of my apartment. Today I noticed a very large squirrel chewing my wicker bench for nesting material. She kept running to the opposite side of my balcony. She’s a black squirrel, but you can see big pink splotches on her sides. I assume these are her nipples and that she’s still nursing? A much smaller squirrel, which I assume is around 7 weeks old, was following her back and forth.
My partner thinks she accidentally disturbed their nest when she was cleaning on the balcony yesterday. Tbh it’s kind of a mess out there, so it makes sense that she wouldn’t have noticed (depression sucks). She didn’t remove anything though.
Momma can usually climb the brick outside our building, but I don’t know if she can right now. She’s so so fat and she honestly looked exhausted today. (She kept taking breaks and laying down in one of her usual spots under a bench). I don’t think baby can climb either. So they’re stuck on my balcony.
I put out some shelled/unsalted peanuts, an apple, water, and some of my guinea pig’s orchard grass hay (she loved this) for nest material.
Normally I wouldn’t feed her at all, but I’m worried that she doesn’t have a way to access food right now.
Taking her to a wildlife rehab is a possibility - but what if I can’t trap her and baby at the same time? Plus I feel some responsibility here because I think we ruined her nest and maybe her stash and I don’t know if she can get food on her own
I don’t want to acclimate her to humans, but I’m really at a loss for how to help her or if what I’m doing is okay. I’m pretty sure my neighbors are feeding her and I don’t know if she knows how to live off a high rise.
My wife has volunteered with wildlife rehab and has experience, but we’re really unsure about how to proceed

First post! I have a question related to a small residual check I receive every year for a co-star role I had on a netflix show a few years back. I am no longer acting full time, nor do I live in the US anymore (I moved to the UK). I get a check once a year of about USD 300-400. This is great obviously, except it makes my tax situation extremely complicated. I now have California income every year, which means I need to file a CA state return (I wouldn't otherwise, not having any other CA-sourced income), plus that counts as foreign income as far as the UK tax authorities are concerned (not a huge deal, but still something to be cognizant of).
My question is -- and I can't believe I'm asking this -- *is there a way for me to ask to stop receiving these checks*? After manageagent fees (not more than 50 ish), taxes, and tax software for filing state return is taken out, I am left with barely USD 100, which is not worth the time it takes to manage this headache.
I would imagine there isn't, because my manager is obviously entitled to a portion of this income going forward. It's basically a nice dinner every year for her at this point.
Does anybody have any advice on how to proceed?

Alright so I’m a 26 year old straight guy and I’d like some advice or just experiences with dating. Doesn’t have to be men, all advice is greatly appreciated.
Basically I don’t get many dates for a variety of reasons including EDS symptoms. But when I do it’s always awkward because often we’ll do something and I get fatigued fairly easily which leads to them being confused or irritated that a fairly young person has to take a break every now and then while doing something like going for a short hike or a walk through a large park etc.
I also have issues with sex, specifically that simply being in certain positions fucking hurts and saying so usually leads to the same irritation that taking a break elsewhere might.
I should also mention I’m very socially awkward and don’t really know what to say when, often talking about very specific topics a date would likely have no clue what I’m talking about. I am currently seeing a psychiatrist for social and general anxiety who is also working as my therapist which it’s super helpful for it to be the same person. We can talk about medications and such and he can prescribe things unlike a licensed therapist.
Anyway, more background, I’ve never had a serious or even friends with benefits relationship. It’s always been a date, sometimes sex afterward which I in no way expect, it’s a nice bonus though, and then we usually never do anything again.
I know a lot of this is me, I kissed a girl for the first time and lost my virginity when I was 22. I don’t really put myself out there and have a hard time with “selling” myself. I’m rambling at this point.
To sum this up, what do other people with EDS and crippling social anxiety do to find a partner? I may be an extreme introvert but I also have a strong desire for a romantic relationship and it sucks.

I joined a pool with coins I already had. The pool have really high APR at the moment. How can I see if my LP is growing? It should be growing really fast. I get some emission fee in aero etc that I can collect but they are not high. I also don’t really get the staking bit? How can you see the APR on that part? I mean is it sufficient to just join a pool and get the pool APR or do you have to stake it as well? And if the pool have really high APR is it better to just pool an LP without staking it? I watched some videos about Aerodrome but none of them got into this pooling and staking. I have just used Trader Joe before and they mainly just have pools atm no staking and there I can easily see how many $ I collected per day in the pools I have- even though they are auto compounded. Hello, my partner and I have 3 children together ages 5, 3 and 1.
As a mother, it is difficult for me to find and sustain work as I don’t have childcare for my youngest, I left my long standing Job in August of 2023 as they were refusing to be flexible and understanding of my circumstances. I then acquired another job in November 2023 but this wasn’t sustainable for me as it was around the clock constant and I didn’t have the energy for it.
My partner is self employed, I would say he has a lot of flexibility as he chooses his own schedule, however I would say I don’t know what his set schedule is because he chops and changes it.
Since not having a job I’ve been struggling financially, I pay all the bills in our home and he pays for the grocery shopping. I am in a large amount of debt that I’ve accumulated over the years due to poor money management because of either depression or my diagnosed ADHD (I am working on this) so the little money I do get from the government mainly goes towards that
I couldn’t tell you how much my partner earns, or if he is comfortably earning money, he does not share this with me openly. He could be broke. He could be loaded.
My long standing job I had to leave because he refused to be with our youngest for an extra day, which is what they wanted from me, he would also routinely ‘threaten’ not to be look after our child so that I could work whenever we had a disagreement and he didn’t like how I was acting.
I’ve recently acquired a job nearby which is incredibly convenient for me ! I am so happy, it doesn’t pay the best but it’s something! I sensed he wasn’t that excited about it, didn’t really celebrate with me at all.
Last night we both went to sleep late, I don’t usually, but I did yesterday, because I was up with him, I see he wasn’t doing any work at all, he was watching YouTube videos and just like every other morning, I was alone getting the kids ready and making breakfast whilst he slept in. I’ve expressed to him how upset this makes me to no avail, he will sleep in whenever he wants. I will say that when I am ill he will get up and be with the kids ( provided we didn’t argue leading up to me asking him to)
I woke him up this morning after I had taken my eldest to school, he got out of the bed 20 mins later, came into the living room said hi to our kids and went back into the bedroom, in bed on his phone, I went in and asked him ‘is this what you do? Just get out of bed and go back in on your phone?’ I can admit it was pure frustration but I can’t help it sometimes.
He responds with ‘yup’ then proceeds to ask me why I woke him up, I told him I’ve already expressed how him sleeping in every single day makes me feel, I told him that his behaviour is not working for me and after a bit of back and forth he then got irate and said ‘WHATEVER’ like a pre-teen and I then told him to ‘act like a man’ to which he told me to ‘act like a woman’ He believes women should be doormats basically , from what I have gathered. Anytime a speak up whether it’s ‘gentle’ (his alleged preferred tone) or harsh he will react the same way MOST of the time.
He then said ‘Carry on and we’ll see what happens’ this was a direct threat to my job, he was saying if I didn’t stop calling him out he will not be here to look after our youngest so I can work.
I haven’t even started yet. He threatened me for my first day.
He has shared with me he thinks me working is a waste of time and wants me to be with the kids mainly, he says it takes away from him working , claims he can earn more money than I make in a day. The problem is whether this is true or not I don’t see the money like how I should. He doesn’t give me money at all unless I practically beg and convince him. Doesn’t pay the bills as mentioned before and generally is very very stingy.
How do I go about this? He is my only form of childcare for my daughter and I feel stuck on what to do.
