We were all pretty excited when Roque was coming in at a time when Lewandowski was absolutely shit. So we definitely needed a solution for that role.
After getting into shape, the inital cameos at left half space position where he played alongside Lewa were impressive.
But we all wanted to see him in the main 9 position. Not alongside Lewa.
He got that opportunity in the game against Cadiz as the main number 9.
In Cadiz game i think he only made 1 accurate pass. He was never available to receive the ball. Didn't help his teammates much either. He only tried one shot which was from far and reminded me of Ansu blunders.
He was commiting fouls when he went into duels (Brazil league problem)
It was basically like we were playing with 10 men. He then got subbed off at halftime.
At the time I didn't think much of it but with the recent news about Xavi not trusting Vitor (as a number 9) at all, it got me thinking.
First off, If I was a coach and some scum agent thought he could pressure me with an interview just because I'm not starting his Client, I would have deliberately benched him untill his long contract ran out. Unless that agent apologized publicly and privately.
But of course Xavi is better than me and wants to find a solution for a young footballer for whom things just didn't work out at Barca.
Imo, Vitor is not a bad striker. He's good. He could be a big player in the future.
He's just not suited for a style like Barca where your striker can't just be a poacher and space eater.
Currently he's more suited towards a transition based team which is what his old team Atletico PR was who attack big spaces.
In tight spaces it seems like he has no clue what to do if he's the main 9.
In defence of our Project, I'll say that right now Barca is not in a situation where they can prioritize developing a raw striker like Vitor. Barca would rather have a starter level Striker right now (which is what we expected from Vitor but unfortunately he's not) rather than a "potential" prospect.
Plus it also puts unnecessary pressure on the coach.
Now the question is, what do we do we do with him?
We've already paid for him but he's registered at Gavi's spot. We'll need to register Gavi back again so Roque will get unregistered.
Hopefully there will be new signings and registrations that will be prioritized ahead of Vitor (DM / LW / Interior / New experienced striker maybe)
IF we have faith in Vitor to be a future striker for us then Loan is the absolutely right call for him.
2 conditions for Loan: 1) Keep him in La Liga so he learns the league. 2) Send him to a team like Las Palmas whose coach can teach him how he can flourish in a system like Barca in less hectic environment.
Otherwise just sell him for profit and learn from this blunder.

Shooter games are nothing new to me, especially a battle royale (I have 3k hours on fortnite). Up close aim seems to be a walk in the park for me. Iâm winning a large majority of my up close aim duels, but for the life of me canât figure out how to beam like this. Is it the FOV? Some kind of technique Iâm missing out on? Hacks? I've seen a few elden bling posts recently, as well as one of my very own that have really given off "covenant" sort of vibes and it got me thinking..
Would the playerbase enjoy build ideas (plus fashion suggestions) that bring about the sense of a good ol covenant from previous souls games?
Im newish to reddit so forgive me for not knowing formatting and all that, but one such post I saw recently was from someone who made a really cool "Jar Knight" Elden Bling & Build, which got me started on thinking about fanmade covenants.
We could even use the password system, as a sort of covenant system.
Lets take the Jar Knight idea and expand upon it..
With the DLC coming up adding new weapon types, spells/incantations, fashion, etc.. this sort of idea could be even further expanded upon.
