Airstream basecamp for sale

Rampant cheats, and you can't refund any DLC because "This purchase contains consumable content that cannot be refunded"

2024.05.06 06:16 not_ixobelle Rampant cheats, and you can't refund any DLC because "This purchase contains consumable content that cannot be refunded"

I really hope this wasn't 'on purpose' to make all the DLC contain a consumable currency (which I have not yet 'consumed') and therefore automatically unavailable for refund.
I'm over the 2 hour play limit (~9 hours total) and today logged in (in PvE) to see dead bodies everywhere. Huh, that's odd. Open up vendors, try to figure out my next quest. Was alive about 20 seconds before blown up by grenades or maybe RPGs or something from either a distant or invisible enemy. In PvE. In basecamp. Happened for the next 10 minutes or so. People in proximity voice are saying it's been happening all day, and cheats are already for sale.
Logged out, requested a refund, I really am not going to flush $99 down the toilet here.
Yes, it's alpha. Yes, i get it. No, I'm not going to grin and just bear it on day two and forever forward. I have an open ticket on the dev's zendesk help ticket forum, we'll see how this goes, but I'd stay away if you're on the fence for a while.

2024.05.05 06:58 Baby_Wolverine Cumulative current suggestion post

I haven't seen something like this, and since the official discord has locked the suggestions forum (probably from too much input and not wanting to give unrealistic hope for everything to be fixed instantly) I figured at the very least we could make a post to have a single location to look at (if the devs even want to use reddit suggestions lol). Figure I'll start if off with some of mine, and if this catches some traction maybe I can make edits or mods can make a betteofficial forum post for it.
I want this to be purely ui/gameplay/feel based, about the current state of the game, not about hardware optimization or similar, and not about what kind of missions we want in the exclusion zone

List starts

Leave a comment and I'll add yours to the list as well, granted this even makes sense to do

2024.04.29 17:25 Willy-Dee Airstream Import - USA to Alberta, Canada

I am sure these questions have been asked a thousand times, but I cannot seem to find all the answers, or at least current ones.
I am in the market for a new Airstream, and whether buying new or used the prices seem to be significantly better across the boarder. I am in Alberta, and I see units of interest in Idaho, Utah and Washington State.
I understand the RIV and paying the GST at the border, but how do you "plate" the trailer to tow it back? Do you need a trip permit for each state/province? Or does any one trip permit cover the full trip?
I can't register the trailer in Alberta before I head to the USA as I don't want to commit to buying it until I put eyes on it and make sure it is as advertised, and all the paperwork is legit. And I don't think I can register it over the phone or online in Alberta (I do have a plate from my previous trailer).
If I buy from a dealer in say Idaho or Utah, I assume I will pay their state tax even though I am not a resident? Will I be able to offset that with Canadian taxes? Will they waive it as I am not a resident?
If I buy privately in either Idaho or Utah, are there tax implications on the sale, or does that get sorted out only when registering in the state?
Any help, or step-by-step guide would be amazing.

2024.04.26 03:09 Powerful_Detail3806 Towing a TT with a Jeep

I’m really looking to understand if this setup will be safe and something my wife, dog and I can do for a while, whether weekend trips or month long trips. We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe with the tow package and a tow rating of 6000lb and payload 1050lbs. We're looking for a TT to tow staying below 4500lbs fully loaded. We've looked at the lightest Micro Minnie (GVWR of 4200 and dry weight 3,324) and Airstream Basecamp (ideally would like the 20ft which has a GVWR of 4300lb and base weight with propane and batteries at 3400lbs). We would also get the WD hitch and brake controller. I know there are already tons of reddit posts out there talking about towing with an SUV. I've seen all sorts of advice ranging from “not a good idea, get a truck” to “yeah I tow with my SUV, you'll be fine.” I'm really curious to hear from others who tow with the Jeep GC or similar to get your experience. We'd be towing mostly in the Pacific northwest so there are some mountain passes but not like those in Colorado but we would make our way over there so something we need to be comfortable towing through. Is this a good idea or would it just kill the vehicle over a few years?

2024.04.19 01:36 freundlichschade Very Conflicted

Very Conflicted
I currently own a 2011 Tacoma with around 145000 miles. I purchased a 2021 Airstream Basecamp 20x, with gear it’s about 4200#. Towing capacity on my Taco is 6500#.
I struggle a bit with hills, and high winds are noticeable. My wife is advocating for moving up to a Tundra, and I have found a 2020 Tundra with 75000 miles set up the way I’d like.
I believe I could get about $15,000 for my truck, so it would cost me about $23,000 to make the trade up. I have considered the obvious, but I’m curious what insights the Reddit hive mind might have for me. I love my Taco, I’ve had a few. The bells and whistles on the Tundra are nice, but I’d mostly be interested in the added capability and perhaps space.
Cheers!

2024.03.11 17:59 CobraMisfit Towing Math

Tundra Hive Mind,
I'm sure this comes up fairly regularly, but my reddit searching skills have let me down. Essentially, a buddy is thinking of upgrading from this 2021 Airstream International 27FB and offered us right of first refusal if he pulls the trigger. Much as I adore our 2016 Taco TRD Sport, there's no way it'd be able to handle the trailer. Many folks on the Airstream forums recommend 3/4 tons to handle towing with ease, and I'd go with one if need be, but I trust Toyota. That said, there's a 2018 Tundra Limited for sale near us and I'm trying to ensure my towing math is correct before bothering to drive it/talk trade-in options. Of note, the Limited's info page lists it has the Towing Package, so it should have the tranny cooler, etc, included. Also of note, most of the camping we'd do is within a couple hours drive of the DC region, so Blue Ride is about as "mountainous" as we'd face.
2018 Tundra Limited Info:
GVRW: 7,100 (per the photo of the sticker)
Curb Weight: 5,530
GCWR: 16,000
Max Tow: 9,100
Payload: 7,100-5,530 = 1,570
2021 Airstream International 27FB Info:
GVRW: 7,600
Dry Weight: 5,868
Payload: 1,732
Hitch Weight: 791
The Maths:
Payload - Hitch = 1,570 - 791 = 779.
Me + Wife + Kiddo = 150 + 120 + 50 = 320
Remaining payload - Us = 779 - 320 = 459
Based on the maths, it looks like the Tundra would be near capacity with payload for this trailer, offering us around 450lbs of "free space" to play with. That's before adding a WDH, firewood, gear, etc. Am I correct or have I left out a major component? I'm also concerned that the GVRW of the Airstream is 500lbs more than that of the Tundra.
Thanks for your help with this!

2024.03.04 07:06 jpodcaster Renting a 16' Bambi or Basecamp for summer road-trip. Question re: towing with a Honda Passport.

Hi all, first time poster here!
We are considering renting a 2021 Airstream Bambi or 2022 16' Basecamp for a summer road-trip across the rockies from Vancouver to Edmonton. We have a 2021 Honda Passport Touring with the towing package which is rated for 5000 lbs GVWR. However the towing hitch ball size is 2" (the max size Honda would fit) and we are worried that the Airstream needs a 2 5/16" ball. Any advice on whether this would work or not?

2024.03.02 23:02 astraservicedeskltd Leveraging Information Technology: Enhancing Processes for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

Introduction:
In the dynamic landscape of modern commerce, small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) face numerous challenges in staying competitive and efficient. However, with the right utilization of information technology (IT), SMBs can streamline operations, boost productivity, and unlock new growth opportunities. In this article, we explore how SMBs can leverage information technology to improve processes and achieve sustainable success.

1. Streamlined Operations with Cloud Computing:
Cloud computing offers SMBs a cost-effective solution for managing data, applications, and infrastructure. By migrating to cloud-based platforms and services, SMBs can streamline operations, reduce IT overheads, and enhance scalability. Cloud-based productivity tools such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 provide collaborative environments for remote teams, enabling seamless communication and project management. Additionally, cloud-based accounting software like QuickBooks and Xero simplify financial management, allowing SMBs to track expenses, generate invoices, and manage payroll more efficiently.

2. Enhanced Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Effective customer relationship management is crucial for SMBs to attract, retain, and satisfy clients. CRM software enables SMBs to centralize customer data, track interactions, and analyze trends to personalize marketing efforts and improve customer service. Platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zoho CRM offer SMBs customizable solutions for managing sales pipelines, automating marketing campaigns, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. By leveraging CRM technology, SMBs can strengthen customer relationships, drive sales growth, and gain a competitive edge in their respective markets.

3. Improved Inventory Management and Supply Chain Optimization:
For SMBs involved in retail, manufacturing, or distribution, efficient inventory management is essential for minimizing costs and maximizing profitability. Inventory management software provides SMBs with real-time visibility into stock levels, demand forecasts, and supplier relationships. Solutions like TradeGecko, Fishbowl, and DEAR Systems enable SMBs to optimize inventory levels, automate replenishment processes, and reduce stockouts and overstock situations. By leveraging technology to streamline inventory management and supply chain operations, SMBs can improve cash flow, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive operational efficiency.

4. Empowering Remote Work and Collaboration:
The rise of remote work has transformed the way SMBs operate, requiring flexible and secure solutions for enabling remote collaboration and productivity. Cloud-based communication and collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom facilitate virtual meetings, file sharing, and team collaboration from any location. Moreover, project management platforms like Asana, Trello, and Basecamp empower SMBs to organize tasks, track progress, and foster teamwork among remote employees. By embracing remote work technologies, SMBs can attract top talent, reduce overhead costs, and adapt to changing work environments.

5. Data Analytics for Informed Decision-Making:
Data analytics tools empower SMBs to derive actionable insights from vast amounts of data, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning. Business intelligence platforms like Tableau, Power BI, and Google Data Studio enable SMBs to visualize data trends, identify patterns, and uncover opportunities for growth. By analyzing customer behavior, market trends, and operational metrics, SMBs can optimize marketing campaigns, refine product offerings, and drive business performance. Leveraging data analytics technology enables SMBs to gain a competitive advantage by making data-driven decisions that align with their strategic objectives.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, information technology offers small and medium-sized businesses a multitude of opportunities to improve processes, drive growth, and achieve long-term success. By embracing cloud computing, CRM systems, inventory management software, remote work technologies, and data analytics tools, SMBs can streamline operations, enhance customer experiences, and adapt to evolving market dynamics. Investing in information technology is not only a strategic imperative but also a catalyst for innovation and resilience in an increasingly digital world. By leveraging technology effectively, SMBs can overcome challenges, capitalize on opportunities, and thrive in today's competitive business landscape.

2024.03.02 19:37 danielvlopes Is lowering prices always a bad idea?

Context

For context, I'm a co-founder of a company called Know Your Team. We started out as a micro-SaaS product by 37signals (the team behind Ruby on Rails and Basecamp), spinning off into our own company. We are bootstrapped and have been in business for ~10 years. Currently, with 5 people, we've had AR in the 7 figures for the past 4 years. From the start, our focus has always been to help managers, and over the years, we built many different products in this space. Since 2023, we've been working on a new product around training managers at scale and at their own pace.

Buffer case study

This week, I was reading this post from Buffer, where they share their path to go down market. This caught my attention because we are doing the same thing – the difference is that we just made the change, and I'm not sure how it will go. It's not a success story in retrospect, like Buffer's. And I'd have loved to have read their story earlier in their timeline, so I thought I'd share ours while it can still backfire.

How we decided to try lower prices

The idea to focus on training as a product came out of experimenting with live training for larger companies (500+ people). In 1 year we gradually coded all the features to make our live training scalable. By February 2023, we had built a lot of features that supported an on-demand learning platform to complement live classes via Zoom. From the start, this product was B2B sales-led.
B2B Sales-led worked quite well for the first 6 months of 2023, but as companies began to brace for a recession, some of our larger contracts started taking longer. We also saw an increase in requests for individual plans. In November, we decided to open the product for self-service, and we noticed that most of the sign-ups were from personal emails. When I shared that with friends & advisors, the suggestion was always to ignore that (or even block them from signing up), but after doing some data analysis, we saw individuals using personal emails were, on average, very engaged.
Then we decided to introduce a monthly plan (up to this, we only offered annual plans). That increased conversions, but we still got some feedback that it didn't fit their company card budget.

"Founding Sales" Hypothesis

This quote from Founding Sales was on my mind when making the decision:
I like to approach pricing in an iterative capacity, biasing toward giving away more value than is captured—at least to start. The goal here being that, early on, you want to get customers in the product, using it and testing your value promises; if your solution is priced to perfection, it will likely hurt your close rates and make acquiring those customers more challenging at the margin. This doesn’t mean that you’ll stick with lowish pricing forever.
This product is just 1 year old, so the hypothesis here is that we might have started priced too high. And although we got solid revenue from the start (with some initial months in the 6 figure), we've wondered if there was a path for getting more users at a lower price – and rely on marketing more than sales.
For a bootstrapped company, IMO the ideal is smaller contracts and high volume, but we weren't sure we'd be able to do that with this product. We had achieved some of this with our earlier products, but our new training product, up to this point, the cost of running things was never low enough to make it work (content production, trainers running events, etc).

Figuring out a feature set that would be valuable for a larger audience without increasing burn

A lot of our product involves individualized support (answering advice questions, holding group discussions, producing content, etc.) and that has a burn cost, but we narrowed down the features that were useful on-demand, validated them, and figured out a production cycle for content that fits in our budget without increasing our burn.

Deciding on the price

At the end, we came up with two new plans. First, a free plan, that you'd get value every day, and something that would also help the paid customers. We wanted something that would bring the free users to the product at least once a week. And a Basic plan at ~50% of our premium plan. Our premium plan has all the individual hard-to-scale features that are appealing to people experiencing higher levels of pain, while the basic plan has all the features that are appealing to people with more mild pains.
The price for the Basic plan was set based on a combination of COGs for the plan and an estimate of what would fit within the corporate credit card budget of team leads or managers at companies in our Ideal Customer Profile in the US (essentially each plan has a different ICP).
This is where VC-backed companies had an edge over bootstrapped ones (at least up to 2022). They could lower their prices first, even below cost, to validate demand, and only focus on maximizing revenue in later funding stages. Meanwhile, a bootstrapped company needs to make it fit within the burn early. For us, with our existing costs, the initial price now is $49 if paid annually.

What's next…

For us, the dream would be to have our product able to help as many aspiring managers as possible. We had to go sales-led and high price first to create the product, but now we are excited to see if we can make it more accessible. So far, everyone I have shared this with has been skeptical. We have no idea how this will go, and if we'll have to change course again. We'll track everything and see.
I'll try to keep this post updated with our progress and share the learnings as we go.

Have you seen any other companies going cheaper instead of more expensive? Which ones? Would love to hear.

2024.02.20 02:55 rudrakshyabarman Being a Developer Sales Is Not as Tough as You Thought

Hey fellow developers and indie hackers,
I'm here to demystify the intimidating world of sales for us, the coding enthusiasts who dream of building a successful SaaS company. The journey from code to customer might seem daunting, but it's entirely feasible—and I'm not talking about reaching unicorn status. Let's aim for creating a profitable, sustainable business that solves real problems.
1. Understand Your Audience First and foremost, know who you're building for. Engage with your potential customers early on, understand their pain points, and iterate your product based on their feedback. This user-driven approach ensures you're creating something people actually need, making the sales process much smoother.
2. Leverage Your Network Your first users are likely within your existing network. Reach out to former colleagues, classmates, and industry connections. Their feedback can be invaluable, and their early adoption can help build credibility.
3. Simplify the Sales Process As developers, we can automate and streamline nearly any process, including sales. Implement a straightforward, automated sales funnel on your website. Use clear, concise messaging that explains your product's benefits, not just its features.
4. Use Content Marketing Create valuable content that addresses your target audience's problems and positions your product as a solution. Blog posts, tutorials, and case studies are great ways to attract organic traffic and establish your brand as an authority in your niche.
5. Focus on Customer Success Your job doesn't end with making a sale. Ensure your customers achieve their desired outcomes using your product. Happy customers are your best salespeople—they'll recommend your product to others.
6. Embrace Feedback Use customer feedback to continuously improve your product. This not only helps in retaining customers but also in acquiring new ones as you refine your product to better meet market needs.
Examples of Successful Indie SaaS Ventures Buffer: A social media management tool that started small and grew by focusing on transparency and customer feedback. Basecamp: Started by a small team, it focused on solving project management in a simple way, growing primarily through word of mouth.
The idea that sales are outside the comfort zone of developers is rooted in misconceptions about what sales involve. It's about solving problems, understanding your customers, and offering them a solution. With the right approach, tools, and mindset, anyone can build a successful SaaS company. The key is to start small, stay focused, and be genuinely interested in helping your customers succeed.
Remember, the most successful SaaS companies are those that continuously evolve based on customer feedback and market demands. So, dive in, the SaaS world awaits your innovation!
Best of luck to all aspiring SaaS founders out there! Let's build something great.
