PD - 12/1/2023 - I-130 first started at 5 months (very accurate tbh) - fingerprints and EAD in about a two months - I-485 updated to actively reviewing right after biometrics .. after that -I 130updated to 4 months and then to 12 months until last week when i received an email about an action being made. Today I-130 was approved ( saw the approval letter on Sat May 11th) Should i expect for GC approval soon ?

So ofc many know of Cracked Rear View, their debut which sold like the plague being certified 21x Platinum in the US alone. And as a kid currently in her teens, it's a pretty good album and I get the hype absolutely... what I don't rlly understand is the hate for Fairweather Johnson... it's not that bad rlly, it's not as good as their debut but it's a solid album with some nice songs like Tucker's Town and Sad Caper. But even so it initially sold well and even peaked at #1, but it also got mixed reviews and subsequently almost immediately fell off the charts and sales and fell right into obscurity. I don't rlly get that. But hey, maybe I'm not seeing the clear trainwreck in front of me, so tell me what yall think of Fairweather Johnson and/or give insight to it and its failing.

   • "Significantly increased risks for lower animal fluency test (odds ratio (OR) = 13.652, p = 0.0029) and CERAD W-L delayed recall test (OR = 6.401, p = 0.0433) scores were observed among the higher ethyl-Hg exposure group as compared to the lower ethyl-Hg exposure group. This study supports the hypothesis that increased ethyl-Hg exposure is associated with significant cognitive decline in older adult and elderly Americans."
2. Thimerosal-Derived Ethylmercury Is a Mitochondrial Toxin in Human Astrocytes: Possible Role of Fenton Chemistry in the Oxidation and Breakage of mtDNA
   • "Ethylmercury causes a 50% collapse in membrane potential in astrocytes at 1 hour. Accompanying this collapse in membrane potential we observe a significant increase in the levels of various ROS. The internal mitochondrial steady state level of superoxide increases by 70% in treated cells and is matched by an increase in cellular hydrazine reactive carbonyls. Using H2DCF-AM we observe a 200% increase in steady state production of reactive oxidants, which from deconvolution we know to be mitochondrially generated (Figure 2). We recently started writing code in a certain new language. I took a lot of my personal time learning this language and built my own project in it, in order to prepare myself for this language. There was a development process involving other devs and me which are skilled in that language writing the initial code. These devs left and now I am the only one who knows that language. Now its time to fix bugs and my team including my team lead are not prepared at all. They can't read the code and complain that it is over complicated. I don't deny that code is complicated and could be more straightforward but isn't it a skill issue that you complain about code being complicated? Now I will be rewriting all code in order to simplify it and decouple so these guys can understand it. It is just infuriating that my team lead and colleagues are not ready for complicated stuff and kind of stuck on same level they used to, meanwhile I try to learn all advanced concepts which they never heard of.

Hello everybody!
I just wanted to come by and say that I passed on my first attempt with a 705. I passed by a hair with a low score, but I'll take it. What definitely helped me through were Professor Messer's free YouTube video playlist on 2x speed, (I also bought his notes, you don't have to but for me going over it a few times helped), as well as the CompTIA A+ Core 2 (220-1102) Practice tests on Udemy. I also looked at a playlist of PBQs on YouTube and it somewhat helped, but I didn't get any of those questions for my sims. I don't mean to bag on Jason Deon's Practice tests, but I used them as well. However, they weren't anything similar to what I was being tested on during the CompTIA exam which prompted me to look at the reviews and most said the practice exams were a bit outdated and further from the CompTIA 220 1102 Exam Objectives. I don't encourage anybody to cram study, but I had to cram study this last weekend because the time for my first course for WGU is coming to an end in two days. Core 1 is my next course, so I'll have to buckle down and not cram study again. Also, life has thrown me a few curveballs, so it's been hectic and crazy the last few weeks. To those who have doubts, don't doubt yourself, just go over the objectives, make sure you can understand the concepts and it will get you through!

Bpo or Government agency?
I am (24M) a licensed professional and I am currently working at a bpo company (1 month trainee). After I graduated college, nag trabaho ako kaagad as an office secretary sa isang private company for 11 months. Nag resign ako para makapag review and take board exams last year. Fortunately, naka pasa kahit late na compared sa mga batchmates ko. After makapasa, nag apply2 kaagad ako kasi financially drained na kme. So ayun, after ilang months naka pasok ako sa bpo. I really like the office setting and of course the salary and benefits.
Fast forward kanina lng, na invite ako for interview sa isang government agency na related talaga sa profession ko. Eh nirefer lng ako at d ko alam ang full job details. Ang alam ko lang is “research technician” ito and project based. After ko mag tanong kung ano ang job description, sabi ng interviewer more on manual labor and overtime without pay daw. Kinumpare pa nila na baka d ako sanay sa laborious tasks kasi previous and current job settings ko is nasa office lng ako.
For further context tinanong pa nila if how much ba salary ko sa current bpo job ko, sabi ko 18k after deductions. D nila dinisclouse ang salary grade kasi d naman ako nag tanong. Pero sabi2 ng mga kaibigan ko, if below 20k, d ko na tatanggapin.
So yeah. i badly need your advice if i should accept the offer if ever maka pasa ako or wag na?

So long story short, i have had a chat ban for a few days now which is alright i know i was a bit harsh on someone on region chat so i can pay time for my mistakes for doing so. Idk how long chatbans usually last a week or maybe more so i was willing to wait and just let people slide lol bcs i shouldn't be passive aggressive.
So i was playing warframe everyday after my chatban that occurred a few days ago and i was trading on Warframe.Market to get my arcanes, it states nowhere that i can't trade or anything Whilst having a chat ban or else i would've had a tradeban aswell. So today i was doing some missions buying some arcanes then sitting afk in my orbiter and a few hours later i got disconnected and it says Account suspended due to EULA violation until 2035 i have no clue what i have done after the chatban and i wonder if i traded with anyone that were blacklisted in trading due to refunds. I haven't done or said anything to any of the traders on the market other than ty and I'll leave a +1 review for helping me out even if im chatbanned.
I did send an appeal to DE but after reading so many stories im afraid that after so many years reaching MR33 will get tossed to trash with their copy paste message of an answer. Any ideas on what i should do? I get the chatban but mid chat ban after a few days to get Account Banned aswell? This series, Murder in Mahim, is based on and adapted from a book by Jerry Pinto with the same name. It was shortlisted for the Crossword Book Award for fiction in 2017. This series follows journalist Peter's investigation of a murder in the bustling city of Mumbai and the subsequent unraveling of dark secrets hidden within its crowded streets. When Sunil, his own son, is named as a suspect in the case, things get more serious. As he digs deeper into the case, he discovers that the city he thought he knew so well is full of surprises and dangers hidden in every corner.
The strongest point of the series would be its leading cast and its varied characters. Be it the highly regarded Vijay Raaz, Ashustoh Rana, and especially Ashitosh Gaikwad as his character Name UNIT, what a fantastic performance he has given. His voice modulation and facial expressions reminded me of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. When he came on the screen, I was extra attentive; he is my favorite character, and on the other hand, the story and the subplots between Firduas Rabbani and her partner were cliched but somewhat interesting too; the dialogues between Ashutosh Rana and his son Sunil Ferenandez regarding the topic of LGBTQ were very nicely written. I wish those scenes had been explored more deeply to add more depth to other characters as well.
What could've been better? Definitely, the story development and its writing. I think they wanted to create some deep emotional drama, but sadly, instead, it turned out to be a slow and sometimes uninteresting drama with unnecessary distractions and low effort cliffhangers. For example, pranks are used as cliffhangers and unnecessary distractions just to confuse and drag the story further, and on the other side, the supporting cast's characterization was not the problem, but their performance was a big letdown, which in turn kept me disconnected from multiple key scenes. As far as the background music is concerned, even that did not have much of an impact. I understand that the main aspect of this series is mostly to focus on crime drama with a message to convey, and I think that's the reason why the cinematography was just so bland. If you look at Kohrra, a similar style and genre series, it had some exceptionally well-done cinematography, which sometimes took the mood of the scenes to the next level.
Can you binge-watch this series?
There is a long wait before things start to get interesting. For instance, I thought things were finally getting serious in the fourth episode, but the next episode itself falls flat again. It's not until the last few episodes that things start to get interesting, but as it is a slow burner, even if you skip a few of the scenes, watch it for the quality performances by Vijay Raaz, Ashustoh Rana, Shivani Raghuvamshi, and especially the phenomenally talented Ashitosh Gaikwad. I really wish him good luck and look forward to seeing him in more movies and series very soon.

This week's recommendation is Kohrra. This Indian TV series, which is set in Punjab, follows the story of two police officers, Balbir Singh and Amarpal Garundi, who are tasked with investigating the murder of an NRI bridegroom, Paul Dhillon. The investigation quickly uncovers a web of deceit, secrets, and family drama. Paul's family and friends all have their own motives for wanting him dead, and the officers must sift through the lies and half-truths to get to the truth. This is one of those slow-burners, along with the thrilling story where the characters grow on you and morally make you think about and analyze the society we live in, which makes this thriller series a must watch.

Hey all!
After a few years of on-and-off vinyl collecting (mostly limited edition box sets of my favourite media), I've finally decided to pick up a turntable and get to listening to the records I've collected over the years.
I've done my fair share of research and decided to go with a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo as my first due to my liking how it looks, its glowing reviews, and the capacity for upgrades in the future (primarily the needle and cartridge). To accompany this, I was thinking of going with the Kanto YU6 powered speakers as they seem to be what I'm looking for, at least for the time being before I consider going for a passive speaker setup later on.
I know the YU6 come with their built-in phono preamp, and my first question is how good is the built-in preamp, would I be okay with just using the Evo with the YU6 without a separate preamp?
For my upgrade path, would it be something along he lines of: 1) separate phono preamp, 2) needle, 3) cartridge, or should I invest in better passive speaker setup first?

Staff 1 at EY here. Started last October and was unfortunately consecutively put in two engagements that basically had the same toxic manager and senior. I received negative reviews from both. I’m not in denial of my flaws (which I think is given for a staff 1 anyway) but I can definitely say the reviews were so rigid. Two months ago I was let go from the terrible engagement by the toxic manager saying that it’s due to performance issues which i thought had more to do with the manager’s irrational dislike towards me. I was finally put in an engagement I was comfortable with and I get along with the senior he seems to be happy with my work. Unfortunately, today I had check in call with my counselor after cycle 3 feedback and was informed that I’m being put on PIP. This is something that I kind of foresee coming and I knew that I had to eventually leave sooner or later because my reputation in the firm has been tarnished and I’ve accepted the fact there’s not much I can do about it than leave. I’m currently searching to other jobs in public but there seems to be little to none openings for experienced associates :/ Just curious who initiates the PIP?

Abstract:
The Metals Company (NASDAQ:TMC, the “Company”) - sustained heavy mining operations in abyssal depths of 3500 - 5000m using all new technology while asserting environmental friendliness in an “emerging” market lacking a regulatory foundation. Profitability is a distant and very uncertain gleam on the horizon.
Today’s “earnings” saw an overshoot in estimated loss by 60% compared to street estimate. The stock took a dive -10% aftermarket. This is your shot at a management team that already tried and failed miserably.
TMC, the Company and Management:
The Company is specialised in Deep-sea mining (DSM) and exploration, was established in 2021 and is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
Members of TMC's management team, including CEO Gerard Barron, were previously associated with Nautilus Minerals, another company specialised in DSM. Nautilus Minerals' attempt to extract minerals from the seafloor within Papua New Guinea's territorial waters ultimately resulted in an environmental disaster and bankruptcy in OCT 2019.
The project was marred by instances of social, environmental, and financial mismanagement. A reported theft of $10 million was coupled with the lack of disclosure of investigation findings to shareholders.
What followed was a new DSM company called DeepGreen Metals, which in turn went public in 2021 through a SPAC merger with Sustainable Opportunities Acquisition Corp and took today’s name The Metals Company (TMC).
The Claims:
TMC possesses exploration contracts awarded by the The International Seabed Authority (ISA) through three subsidiaries: NORI, sponsored by the Republic of Nauru; TOML, sponsored by the Kingdom of Tonga; and DeepGreen Engineering Pte. Ltd., which has entered into an agreement with Marawa Research and Exploration Limited, a company owned and sponsored by the Republic of Kiribati.
All claims are situated within the Clarion-Clipperton Zone (CCZ) in the Pacific Ocean, which is regulated by the ISA.
NORI encompasses a seabed area of 74,830 km2 and is projected to harbour approximately 866 million wet tonnes of polymetallic nodules. TOML, spanning 74,713 km2 of seabed, hosts an inferred resource totaling 756 million wet tonnes of polymetallic nodules. As for the Marawa arrangement, its resource assessment remains pending.
Their compositions are found to consist of approximately 30% Manganese, 1.3% Nickel, 1.1% Copper, and 0.2% Cobalt. Based on current assessments, the net present combined value of mineable metals is estimated to range from $6.8 to $8.6 billion. The combined claims of NORI and TOML would constitute the second-largest nickel mine globally in terms of resource size.
Deep-sea mining (DSM) for Polymetallic Nodules:
A remotely controlled undersea robot is sent down from a support vessel to dredge and suck polymetallic nodules off the seafloor. In late 2022, TMC successfully demonstrated its mining capabilities by collecting approximately 4500 t of material and extracting 3000 t of nodules with a sustained production rate of 86.4 tonnes per hour during a system test. The company aims for 200 tonnes per hour with additional collector heads and a bigger capacity riser pipe.
Profitability estimates for DSM vary widely.
The Financial Situation:
TMC has a market capitalization of ~$460 million. It incurred a loss of $25.2 million last quarter, with a trailing twelve-month loss amounting to $73 million. Total cash at hand stands at $4 million. The company has the option to access $25 million in additional proceeds from an unsecured credit facility maturing AUG 2025, which remains undrawn, and another $20 million maturing SEPT 2025, of which $2.9 million were drawn in MAR this year.
Pro forma liquidity is ~$49 million. Dept sits at ~$16 million.
The ship should stay buoyant for another 12 months from now, without resorting to measures like dilution.
The International Seabed Authority (ISA):
The International Seabed Authority (ISA) serves as the principal regulatory body overseeing the exploration and exploitation of minerals located on the international seafloor. Established under Article 156 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), the ISA is responsible for developing regulations governing these activities.
As of now, the ISA has yet to finalise a rulebook for the industry.
In 2021, TMC, sponsored by Nauru, utilised a regulatory loophole to initiate a process that imposed a two-year deadline on the ISA to establish regulations for DSM within its jurisdiction. With the ISA failing to meet this deadline in 2023, countries are now permitted to apply for mining licences in the absence of official guidelines.
TMC plans to apply for exploitation rights after the ISA session JUL – AUG this year.
The application review process is expected to drag on for 12 months. Production is anticipated to commence in Q1 2026 (revised from Q4 2025).
It is noteworthy that the USA is not a member of the ISA.
Relationship highlight - TMC and Nauru:
Nauru, formerly a prosperous island nation buoyed by abundant phosphate deposits, has faced financial challenges since the depletion of these resources in the 1990s. In recent years, the country has been associated with activities such as money laundering for the Russian mafia and detaining refugees seeking asylum in Australia in conditions widely criticised as inhumane. Additionally, Nauru has been noted for its propensity to alter political allegiances in pursuit of financial benefits, recently ditching Taiwan for China.
“The partnership with TMC is hoped to become the largest contributor to Nauru’s GDP, once fully operational, and vital for the country's economic survival.” This is according to Peter Jacob, a former chief of staff for Nauru’s Office of the President who now works as the NORI Country Manager at TMC.
Nauru Ocean Resources has pledged to pay corporate income tax in Nauru, where the current rate stands at 25 percent. Additionally, Nauru will receive a predetermined payment (tbd) for each ton of nodules extracted through mining activities.
Recent Development:
TMC has invested an approximate total of $100 million towards conducting environmental impact assessments as part of the regulatory process for securing mining rights from the ISA. The company submitted the biggest comprehensive dataset on the environmental impacts of DSM as of yet to the ISA, with an even bigger one announced for the ISA’s session JUL this year.
A life cycle assessment done in 2023 by Benchmark Mineral Intelligence suggests TMC’s NORI-D nodule project could outperform land-based routes in all measured environmental categories, including mining, transport, processing and refining.
Several countries, including China, Russia, Norway, Mexico, and the UK, advocate for the advancement of the DSM industry. China, in particular, already asserts claims to deep-sea mineral resources and has already undertaken mineral exploration activities in the international waters of the Western Pacific and the Indian Ocean.
On JAN 9 of this year, the Norwegian parliament made a decision to open extensive areas in Arctic waters for DSM activities. In response, the European Parliament passed Resolution B9-0095/2024 in late January, expressing significant environmental concerns regarding Norway's action. The resolution reiterated Parliament's support for a moratorium on DSM and urged the European Commission and Member States to adopt a precautionary approach and advocate for a global moratorium on deep-sea mining, including at the ISA. A total of 24 countries worldwide, including seven European Union (EU) member states (Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden), have voiced their support for a moratorium or suspension of deep-sea mining activities. France has outright banned the practice.
In FEB 2024, the ISA released a streamlined draft of regulations with key areas yet to be “consolidated”.
In MAR, legislation was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives calling for the U.S. to “support international governance of seafloor resource exploration and responsible polymetallic nodule collection by allied partners”, and to “provide financial, diplomatic, or other forms of support for seafloor nodule collection, processing and refining.”

Risks:
The Secretary-General of the ISA faces reelection in JUL. Michael Lodge, who served two terms, now faces accusations of "interfering with the decision-making process" and "sharing information with mining companies." He's not been nominated by the UK for his third term as before, but by the island nation of Kiribati. I fear Lodge's absence could spell short-term trouble for the sector, given the presence of some fiercely prohibitive candidates.
The recent earnings loss overshot was partly attributed to heightened transportation costs of nodules to a partner facility in Japan for processing. This highlights that the business model faces inherent risks, including the lack of provenness, the novelty of the technology, and the certainty for unforeseen challenges during sustained operations.
A surge in climate change and biodiversity cases indicates, DSM litigation is foreseeable as aggrieved countries, communities, and other stakeholders impacted by DSM can take the ISA, mining companies, and other parties they deem liable to international, regional, and national courts.
Profitability might face additional constraints due to anticipated seabed restoration obligations that are expected to accompany exploitation rights.
Considering the current financial situation and the expected timeframes, there is a risk of dilution due to liquidity challenges by Q3/Q4 2025.
All of these factors are compounded by a highly speculative and politically charged regulatory limbo, where states are beginning to enact regulations on a national level.
Finally, crowned by TMC's management team's prior involvement with Nautilus Minerals and the outcome of Nautilus' deep-sea mining project.
Speculation:
Treating TMC as a mining company at 20% - 50% of its underlying asset’s NPV, the price tag should be $9 - $11. Though TMC is everything but a “traditional” mining company.
Worst Case - a ban on DSM: Considering the lengthy processes of exploration, assessments, applications, and environmental studies, along with the current financial situation, the company may remain operational in its current structure for another 2-3 challenging years, but your investment will plummet to the depths of Hades.
Timelines shift to the future: This could be due to a prohibitive candidate becoming the next secretary-general at the ISA, or environmentally fueled initiatives to delay DSM. The more time passes, the more TMC will feel the urge to squeeze its shareholders.
TMC applies, the ISA misses the deadline again: We’ve come full circle, though with a higher potential. TMC could go to court, start operations as planned or something in between. I expect upside potential from this.
TMC applies, the ISA approves with restoration obligations: Based on the severity of potential outcomes, I anticipate the valuation range to be between $3.4 to $6 until the business model's feasibility emerges.

Prior to having ortho done with invsalign I spoke with the dentist about veneer vs dental bonding placement on my peg lateral incisiors which he agreed could be done and when the time comes we can rediscuss which would be the better option. Fast forward 4 months later after compelting invisalign treatment, we rediscussed about veneer vs bonding placement, which again he reassured me that he can do either one. He subequently had me speak to his office billeassistant which explained to me the difference between veneers and bonding (I also did my own research on both), after some time I opted to go with veneers as she reassured me "minimal" teeth filing would be done, she then ran the bill which displayed "crown/veneer" on the statement. I asked about this and she stated, "this is how it's billed but I will recieve veneers". The day comes to have the veneers placed or so I thought. The dentist comes in and starts the procedure, I hear some drilling going on which I knew had to be done as "minimal" filing is needed, again that's what I thought was going on... it turns out my peg laterals were filed tremendously! I was shocked, but thought, this is probably the required amount for veneers. He placed the temps on that only covered the front of the two peg laters but not the back, and he had me come back 3 weeks later. I arrived for placement of the "veneers" only to have the dentist file my teeth down even more during the procedure! At this point I was so disarrayed that I had no idea what to do?? The damage had been done already. Was I to tell him to stop? My teeth were already stumps. I was told throughout the whole time since getting invisalign that veneers or composite bonding is an option and NEVER once mentioned crowns! I was also extremely adamant against crowns, hence the dentist never brought up crowns to me. I now have crowns placed and feel absolutely demoralized. The dentist never informed me about placing crowns, or limitations that would prevent veneers from being placed; he just kept saying "yes, yes veneers". If I was informed about this I would have went with dental bonding instead.

On top of this, 3 members of his staff/dental assitants and the dentist himself knew I only wanted either veneers or dental bonding. During my invisalign treatment, the DAs would even ask me if "I'm excited for the veneers" or if I had gone with the veneer option over dental bonding, which I replied yes to the veneers.

Lastly, this wasn't some random dentist I went to. I searched around extensively to find a "reputable" dentist. From the Google search he had over 2,000+ reviews and 4.9/5 stars, and advertised "cosmetic smile makeovers", so I felt this was a sound decision, and opted to drive over 1 hour for every appointment to have treatment done by him. I have never felt such regret in my life until now.

Is there anything that I can do in this situation? I feel I was outright misled. From the beginning I made it clear I never wanted crowns hence, the discussion only bounced between veneers or bonding, and ended up with crowns... I honetly have no idea what to do..
