Is Email Redirection Possible Without Port 25?

2024.05.14 00:02 Hanuman9 Is Email Redirection Possible Without Port 25?

I have a couple domains that I want to redirect to my mail inbox. This can be done quite easily with a VPS and Postfix, setting virtual aliases for redirection.
As I'm transferring to a new server, it blocks port 25.
Is it possible to do such email forwarding without using port 25? (they "can" unblock it after 30 days...)
And I'm curious; for those hosting on Azure (also blocking port 25), what's the recommended way of achieving this simple task?

Wifi adapter not recognised ubuntu 20.04 intel wifi 6 ax203

Hello everyone, I recently received a gift from my parents. It's the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 IRL. I would like to do some ROS projects on it, but the wifi adapter does not work (Intel WiFi 6 AX203). I tried upgrading to version 22.04, and the wifi adapter worked on it. However, I encountered issues running ROS, so I had to revert back to Ubuntu 20.04.

Here are a few things that I have tried

I haw unable to find any drivers for this specific network card: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005511/wireless.html https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/iwlwifi

None of the below mentioned code snippets worked.

1
``` wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pimlie/ubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh/masteubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh chmod a+x ubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh sudo ./ubuntu-mainline-kernel.sh
sudo rmmod iwlmvm sudo rmmod iwlwifi sudo rfkill unblock all sudo modprobe iwlwifi sudo modprobe iwlmvm
sudo apt install backport-iwlwifi-dkms ```
2
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-hwe-team/backport-iwlwifi sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install backport-iwlwifi-dkms
2024.05.07 20:38 DragonfruitGlum7494 Small lawn steep slope, not to perfect ground, which mower
Hello, I have about 100m of sloping ground to mow, I think about 7-10% grade hill. There are several moles, taupe holes and small decorative trees to work around. I need something very lightweight (under 10kg) but still cuts (preference that it leaves the grass on the ground but if needed I can empty a basket) . I am torn between flymo and ryobi as I dont want to spend a bunch. Since I cant test either in person, could someone maybe say which is better? The flymo has really bad notes on amazon so Im a bit worried to buy it, but the Ryobi RLM13E33S is a heavier so Im not sure for a small person with a bad back that its not to heavy. I want electric as a battery gets drained to quickly on the slope (I have one and after 10 minutes its out of stream). The grass is also often wet, but I imagine any will have a problem with that - if its a matter of unblocking the port its not a problem. Thank you in advance
2024.05.05 18:42 BorcBorcBorc Why is the toxicity so much LESS than Starcraft 2?
There used to be a site called starcraftrage.com - it got taken down. Like many of you I played SC2 for a very long time. The things I saw people say to each other and to me in that game were the most vile, heinous, unhinged, venomous things that people could possibly think of. Wishing death on your entire family (in creative and terrible ways), sending dozens upon dozens of vicious messages, and the frequency of all of this was fairly common. I'm not even talking about offensive GG and being called a noob or anything.
Is it the creative and powerful cheese? I'm guilty of reaching Masters several times by cannon rushing in 100% of games against all races for example. It's part of the game though. I suppose how brutal cheese is in Starcraft 2 could be a big part of it. Off the top of my head from a Protoss perspective, Proxy Voidray Shield Battery all in, Cannon Rush, 2 Gate Proxy, Proxy Stargate oracles, Speed Prism Sentry drop on top of ramp as gateways finish (against Zerg), Mothership-Archon toilet, 6 Gate Blink Stalker, the classic 4-gate during Lings of Liberty, swarm host-nydus in Heart of the Swarmhost, Adept all ins during Legacy of the Void and just SO many more. DT drop, proxy DT, 4-gate into DT after you destroy detection. I haven't even named the Zerg and Terran ones but I mean come on. Proxy 2 Port Cloak Banshee. Proxy 3 Rax. Rax lifted into the corner of your base (or a factory making Widow Mines) Baneling bust, 6 pool, roach rush, Nydus all in, Muta all ins. There has to be 100 more I'm not even thinking of.
And the game is faster paced so I imagine it makes small mistakes more infuriating and punishing. For example accidentally misplacing your Zealot holding position and instantly losing to ling flood. Missing a forcefield. Looking away from your army and it gets stormed, baned, tanked, whatever and you insta lose because you looked away at the wrong time.
But there's a lot of seriously powerful aggression in AOE4. I must have been beaten by the same English rush at least 100 times by now. But I don't know it just doesn't make me that angry. Ticked off a bit? Sure but at myself not the other player.
Is there something else that made it so incredibly toxic when compared to AOE4? Players are absolute saints in this game. Demuslim said on stream when I asked this question in the chat that the game was also far more tribal. People by the vast majority WERE Protoss, or Zerg, or Terran players. Sure they'd off-race sometimes, I played hundreds of games as Zerg and Terran, but I played many, many thousands as Protoss. I'd root for Protoss players in the GSL like it was a football game.
Is that really all it was combined? Or was it something else as well?
2024.05.04 22:57 Master7777_ I need help with port forwarding for a Minecraft server.
I'm trying to open a port on my router for a Minecraft server port"25565". I've opened a port-forward with that port but I can't connect to it. I tried running the server and checking if the port is open with this site: "https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/" but it says it's closed. I've also tried unblocking all Java and Minecraft apps through Windows Fire wall it still didn't work. I've run Minecraft servers through my PC but that was with my old router. I switched to a new router and I can't port forward anymore please help me.
I have had Shaw (now Rogers) 1.5Gb down/150Mb up for many years. Telus sent me a SPRINGSAVINGS promo code for Residential service. The promo was:
1.0Gb up/1.0Gb down for $65/month on a 2-year contract 1.5Gb up/1.5Gb down for $75/month on a 2-year contract 3.0Gb up/3.0Gb down for $85/month on a 2-year contract
I signed up for 3.0Gb and after a lengthy installation process, I was testing. I never canceled Rogers/Shaw yet. However, the brass tacks of it all is I hate to report that Telus filters incoming ports for Residential service. If this matters to you, it's a big problem. Their security measures policy mentions certain ports are blocked but in fact, all incoming ports seem to be blocked.
From a consumer-like-me point of view, the security policy is stupidly restricting "to protect me". However, if you pay (a lot) more, you can get a business account that does not block any ports. Go figure.
I had 15 days to trial the service and decided to cancel after 5 days. There is no option (I've talked to many Telus departments - tech support tiers, loyalty, business sales, etc) to unblock ports except to go to a business account which doesn't block ports. The business account is over $200/month on a 3-year contract (without a promo). With a promo, I was offered as low as $115/month on a 5-year contract, $135/month on a 3-year contract.
There are a lot of technical details behind my testing but not worth mentioning here. Things may be different on the lower tier speeds but for 3Gb, you receive the Network Access Hub (Technicolor NH20T), an SPF+ XGS PON and the WiFi 6E. The NH20T is what's registered on the Telus back end, so you cannot bypass the NAH, plugging the SPF+ module directly into another device.
It was a fun 5 days... but it wasn't something that was going to work for me in the long run. Again, if having incoming ports open is important to you, don't bother. Rogers/Shaw doesn't block ports.
Factors to Consider When Choosing TheVPN: Reddit (My Honest Review
Y:\Downloads\BatchCompress.com\5_Best_VPNs_According_to_Reddit_My_Honest_Review_for_2024_0004.jpg
When I set out to find the best VPN, I knew I'd to take into account several important factors to make an informed choice. Security features, speed, reliability, cost, device compatibility, and legal considerations all played a part in my review process.
Let's explore how TheVPN stacks up in each of these areas according to Reddit users.
https://preview.redd.it/4fyr14pj2zxc1.jpg?width=1006&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=67ce975aea729f155037cb6e19ef261b5310fdca
Security Features Highlight
Delving into the security features, I've found that VPNs not only enhance online privacy but also fortify your digital safety with tools like DNS leak protection and instant kill switches. These features are essential because they prevent your data from being exposed during unexpected disconnects or vulnerabilities.
Additionally, the encryption provided by VPNs masks your IP address and online activities, shielding you from potential cyber threats. What's more, a strict no-logs policy is a game-changer. It means that the VPN doesn't store any details about your internet usage, ensuring your online actions remain private and untraceable.
This thorough approach to security makes VPNs an essential tool for safeguarding your digital life.
Speed and Reliability
Reddit users often stress the importance of a VPN's speed and reliability for a seamless online experience. From personal encounters, it's evident that a VPN that lags or frequently disconnects can be exasperating. Fast connection speeds are crucial for smooth website access and media streaming, reducing buffering frustrations. Moreover, reliability is vital, particularly for activities like online gaming or downloading large files that demand a stable internet connection. Opting for a VPN with a reputation for consistent performance not only protects your online endeavors but also ensures uninterrupted usage. Consequently, I consistently prioritize these aspects when selecting a VPN due to their significant influence on the quality of online interactions.
https://preview.redd.it/awrzb7e94zxc1.jpg?width=1456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7645b2472ca9efa81385dcc29c155809e1fb6c9e
Cost Efficiency Analysis
After considering the importance of speed and reliability, I also assess the cost efficiency of a VPN to make sure I'm getting the best value for my money. Evaluating a VPN's cost involves more than just looking at the price tag. It's about analyzing what I'm getting in return. I check subscription plans, look for discounts, and consider any additional services they might offer. Understanding the pricing structure is key. Does it align with the features provided?
Moreover, considering long-term benefits is essential. Sometimes paying a bit more upfront can save money in the long run if the VPN offers exceptional service and reliability. It's all about the balance between cost and value.
Device Compatibility Check
When selecting a VPN, I always make sure it's compatible with all my devices, from smartphones to laptops. It's essential that the VPN works across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and even routers.
I check if it allows simultaneous connections on multiple gadgets, which is a necessity for covering all my tech. Also, browser compatibility is vital for seamless browsing, so I guarantee it integrates well with Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
Dedicated apps for specific devices are a significant benefit, ensuring top performance and ease of use. Finally, I verify the VPN supports various connection protocols to maintain compatibility across different network environments, enhancing flexibility and security.
Legal Considerations Overview
Understanding the legal considerations of using a VPN is vital for guaranteeing compliance with the laws specific to each country. The legality of VPNs varies widely, with some nations having restrictions or outright bans on their use. It's essential for users, like myself, to be aware of these laws to make sure we're using VPNs legally and securely.
For instance, services like NordVPN not only comply with legal regulations but also offer robust security features, enhanced privacy, and faster connection speeds. This makes them a preferred choice for those of us seeking both compliance and performance.
When choosing a VPN, it's not just about unblocking content; it's also about staying on the right side of the law.
Service Accessibility Options
While considering the legal aspects of VPNs, I also evaluated the service accessibility options critical for my online needs. I looked for VPNs that let me connect multiple devices at once. It's essential when I'm juggling between my laptop, phone, and tablet. I also checked if they offer dedicated IP addresses, which enhance both security and privacy.
Moreover, I sought out VPNs with a variety of protocols and strong encryption types to guarantee robust security. A no-logs policy was non-negotiable for protecting my privacy. Features like DNS leak protection and an instant kill switch were also on my checklist, as they prevent accidental exposure of my data during VPN downtime or failure.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Using a VPN Decrease My Internet Speed Significantly?
Yes, using a VPN can sometimes decrease my internet speed, especially if the server's far away or overloaded. But it's not always significant, and the privacy benefits often outweigh the speed loss.
Is It Legal to Use a VPN for Streaming Services?
Do VPNS Protect Against All Types of Cyber Threats?
Can I Use a Single VPN Account on Multiple Devices?
Yes, I can use a single VPN account on multiple devices. Most providers allow simultaneous connections, letting me secure various gadgets at once, which is super convenient for both personal and family use.
How Do VPNS Handle My Data Privacy With Advertisers?
I've found that most VPNs claim to protect my data privacy from advertisers by not logging browsing activity or sharing information. However, it's important to check their privacy policies to confirm this.
Conclusion
After diving deep into Reddit's discussions and testing these VPNs myself, I've learned that the best VPN for you depends largely on your specific needs. Whether it's speed, security, or unrestricted access, each of these top picks has unique strengths.
Personally, I found VPN.AC to strike the best balance for most users. Remember, always prioritize what features matter most to you and consider trying a few to find your perfect online privacy partner.
2024.04.25 02:35 Admiral_Sydor Productivity/Gaming air cooled PC. Large budget available if required.
Hello everyone.
I'm looking for some help with selecting parts for a new PC. I've always bought prebuilts in the past and I'm quite a bit out of the loop and a little overwhelmed. I would appreciate your suggestions on the best parts for my needs without spending an extra 1000$ for a 1% increase in performance.
Context: I have a very busy lifestyle. Some 7 years ago, I wanted to get deeper into PC gaming and I bought an expensive prebuilt from GamingPC.ca (will post the parts list at the end). I've been quite satisfied with it, but sadly real life has caught up, and I never gamed on it as much as I wanted to. I'm now looking at a 7-year old custom loop which could fail at any moment, especially since I've never taken the time to maintain it as well as I should have. Bottom line is, I'm now looking for a reasonably powerful air cooled build with low maintenance requirements. "Install and forget" type of thing, no maintenance outside of the occasional dust removal, and easy replacement of parts that were to die.
1. What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games (ex: resolution, FPS, settings) or programs you will be using.
Productivity and gaming, around maybe a 70%-30% ratio.
Productivity: general web browsing (~40 tabs across 3 browser windows), programming (Visual Studio, VS Code), occasional drawing with a Wacom Cintiq Pro tablet (Photoshop, ClipStudio).
Gaming: I usually play mostly 5-10 year old games, and Indie more often than AAA. Still, I want a PC strong enough to be able to play a AAA release in the upcoming years if I decide to. Examples of games I would like to play in the near future: FF7 Remake, FF14, recent Hitman games, Rust, Starcraft 2.
Gaming performance:
FPS: 60 or more preferred, 30 acceptable.
Resolution: 1440 or higher preferred, 1080 acceptable.
2. What is your maximum PRE-TAX budget before rebates and shipping?
Flexible, I've built up some savings from a lot of overtime. Let's say 6000$ for argument's sake, although lower is always preferable.
3. When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
Anytime, although since my current rig is still functional, I can also delay it if needed (e.g. for upcoming new parts or currently out of stock parts).
4. What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ex: toweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Tower and OS.
5. If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? How old are they? Brands and models are appreciated.
Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire Keyboard
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Headset: Steelseries Arctic 5
Storage HDD: WD 14TB Ultrastar DC HC530 (WUH721414ale6l4)
Monitors:
Samsung LC32JG52QQNXZA - 32'', 144Hz, 2560x1440
LG 32GN600-B - 32'', 165Hz, 2560x1440
Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 (drawing tablet) - 24'', 3840x2160 (4K)
6. Will you be overclocking (ex: CPU/GPU/RAM)? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line?
No.
7. Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, VR, VirtualLink, tensor cores, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
Main SSD: 1TB minimum. Specific I/O requirements: At least 2 USB 3 Type-A ports near the front of the case.
8. Do you have any specific case preferences (ex: mITX/mATX/mid-towefull-tower sizes, styles, colours, window or not, LED lighting, etc.), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
No. I don't hate RGB, but performance is by far the main requirement. The looks are completely optional.
9. Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? Note: some post-secondary students can get Windows 10 for free.
Yes, Windows 11 Pro.
10. Will you be upgrading this PC in the future (ie: will you swap out better parts later on or will you build an entirely new tower later)? If so, when?
Maybe, although since I'm looking for an "Install and forget" type of build, I'm leaning towards oversizing it from the get-go instead. Would like the PC to last maybe around 10 years, after which I would probably be looking for a new build.
11. Do you have a brand preference? (ex: AMD/Intel for CPUs, AMD/NVIDIA for video cards, etc)
None in particular, although some critical reviews are making me wary of AMD GPUs (bad drivers etc.)
12. What are the specs of your old PC / laptop? Do you want to see if it can be upgraded instead? If so, paste its build from PCPartPicker here.
Parts list of my old PC (excluding the liquid cooler which was custom from GamingPC): https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/FCVJQP
I've considered trying to remove the custom loop and convert my current rig to air cooling instead, but I have no idea where to start and it sounds like quite the hassle. Other parts surely have quite a bit of wear too anyway, so I'm leaning towards full replacement.
13. Extra info or particulars:
I have a slight concern about the noise difference from switching to air, as the PC will be located in a bedroom, but I will bear with it if I have to. Definitely don't want to underplay the cooling.
Thanks!
2024.04.24 09:01 Financial_Boot3499 Help me open ports on university network
My university blocks ports relevant to gaming (and more). The gaming ports (some of them) are unblocked for certain hours of the day (6pm - 8am) while the rest remain closed. Due to this issue, there are a lot of services and programs I can't run outside those hours (some don't run at all, e.g I can't connect to rdo servers even when the other ports are unblocked).
What I've been trying to do for a long time is open these ports through my personal router (TL-WR840N) but I haven't succeeded yet, hence this post. If it's possible, can anyone help me set up my router or suggest me some other way around (except the obvious option to use a VPN, I need good pings to be able to play a game)
2024.04.24 01:13 NaturalSpecific7227 I built my PC but win 11 won't install
Hi everyone.
So I face the " A media driver your computer needs is missing" issue that several people are seeing while trying to install Win 11 on a new PC build...
Problem being that:
Does anyone know how to just install the driver? Also, is the "Intel rapid storage stuff" compatible with the Samsung ssd ?
I really need help guys, if someone could explain. If I need to make more verif in BIOS, please let me know, otherwise how can I unblock this situation?
Also, just creating the USB boot for Win 11 was an absolute purge, I had to go recreating the ISO without the autorun etc... because nothing would work otherwise. Could the issue come from this? This was a fix that I found on Reddit because just doing the standard Boot key would just not work. I had to use Rufus and Winarchiver, which I find absurd because Microsoft should provide a direct USB installer normally no? Why doesn't it work properly?
I really don't understand why things just got soo screwed up right now! That's not my first PC build, but I don't remember having had so many difficulties before...
Thx so much for the help!
---------------------------EDIT OF THE COMMENT WITH SOLUTION HERE: --------------------------------------
So, I managed to resolve the situation so I will leave this comment here for anyone who face the same situation in the future..
If you face the "A media driver your computer needs is missing" issue, you may want to troubleshoot in the following manner:
First of all, a special shoutout to Microsoft technical support who spent a good half hour with me on the chat and also found all the issues that led to this situation!
  • Yes, the troubleshooting started by asking if the USB drive was too old or malfunctioning. Apparently, that could be a cause of the bad installation. In my case, it wasn't. Also, the drive needs more than 8Go of free capacity so take a 32Go or more and you'll be fine. Don't forget that you will have to format it, so don't have anything valuable on the USB stick.
  • Second and most importantly, the USB drive must be formatted in NTFS! Before installing the Boot system from Windows 11 from the page (the second on the list) the technician explained that FAT32 (that is picked by default) is compatible with MAC but definitely creates broken installers for PC .... something people would have certainly liked to know before, right? So NTFS before downloading the Boot on the USB guys, that's super important!!!
I wouldn't have had to go through all the shenanigans of recreating the ISO with Rufus and all, if I had known earlier that the install kept failing because of this.
  • People say that Port USB 3.0 can also be faulty and in this case you may want to try your other USB ports, especially go into a 2.0. In my case I only had 3.0 and 3.1 Ports so it wasn't the issue here.
  • After successfully using the USB key to install the Boot of Win 11, the installer this time went through the "enter Product Key" page. Something that wasn't appearing before. However, once the key was entered (or used the button "I don't have a Product Key" ) then the request for drivers reappeared anyway...
  • Suggestion from the technician: In order to find the driver that you need, look into the MOTHERBOARD manufacturer (in this case ASUS) and not the HARDDRIVE manufacturer (In my case Samsung)! Turns out, he was right!
Asus, Gigabyte, or MSI are actually going to have the correct Intel Storage ... driver (ISRT) adapted to their motherboard while trying to get the right driver directly at Samsung proved completely impossible !! So much time wasted !!
  • Put the updated driver on a separate USB, with eventually a WIFI or LAN driver (the installer will ask you later to connect to the internet, so you may need the drivers) and keep it ready for the moment it asks you for the drivers.
  • When the installer ask you for the driver, click on Browse and then select the USB folder that contain the driver exe. just click on it and you should see the various partitions of your harddrive appear in the box.
The question of creating the proper partition is something else... It turned out that I also created a partition that was incompatible with the installation (something related to MRB and not EFI or I don't know what....) but the system allowed me to delete the partition, then click on the "New" button. Magic, the installer created directly the partitions it needed...
However, remember that if you want separate partitions for installing Windows and installing your data, you will need to make sure to allocate different values than the max Go taken by default. Otherwise, the all disk will be the partition of windows.
Then choose your Drive proper partition (you will see below an error message if the partition is not the right one with the proper format that windows needs. It will tell you that it cannot install here) and continue the install.
  • If you have a WIFI card like me, I found this help online to allow the installer to find the available networks:
Press SHIFT + F10 to open the command console. Enter the following command: C:\Windows\explorer.exe & exit
It will automatically find the available Wifi networks and you can pick the right one to connect to internet and finalize the installation!
I hope this will help you as I am myself very grateful to all of you guys who participated in helping me! Cheers!
2024.04.20 06:33 cf7612 IDRAC question
Hi, I am setting up a few generation old Dell server for my Colo box. I want to have the idrac interface available in case my server has problems outside of truenas scale. My colo only gives me one network handoff with a /30 and then routes /29 to me. I am running opnsense on the box for firewalling. I was thinking of giving the idrac port a ipv6 address as I have a /64 on the outside of the firewall and a /56 on the inside. The problem is how do I secure the idrac. Talking to the Colo vendor have via their customer management portal that I can null route any /128 so that should enable me to block and unblock idrac as needed. I was hoping to have it open all of the time via an ip behind the firewall but it seems like idrac can only be configured on a single nic at a time. Is that correct? Any ideas on other ways to get me easy idrac access securely? Thanks
Dear all, I just buy a new WDC Blue 4 TB HDD (5400 RPM), and it is very slow in terms of transferring data and playing games. Game install in the new HDD will be lagging and may even crash from time to time (Starcraft 2 coop, Darkest Dungeon 1 e.g.) I am using B350M gaming Pro mother board (All 4 port are SATAIII) GTX 970 video card
I just split it into 2 sections each with 1.76 TB as one drive. I noticed that the new HDD don't have Trim on in crystal disk info
Cache writting are enabled, any idea how or is there a defect on the new disk? I do own another WDC Blue 4TB HDD that i used for years.
Any ideas are welcome, thanks in advance!
How to perfect Matthew Perry boss, in-depth guide. No damage, no items, Hard (Twilight) difficulty.
"Commodore of the United States Navy. At the order of President Millard Fillmore, his fleet of Black Ships circumnavigated the globe to negotiate the opening of Japan's ports for trade. He is determined to compel the opening of Japan before any other Western power".
Second boss, which is challenging, when we start the game on Hard (Twilight) – a lot of bulk and Countersparks will be needed to secure the perfect run. Ignore your brothesister and just focus on the red aura Critical Blows (Martial Arts). All of them are delayed – while it's tempting to parry early (especially his air attack), don't do it and be patient. Treat Rise of the Ronin as a fighting game and parry at last possible moment. Thing is, if we miss the timing, we will get hit, since there's a 1 second interval. Risky tactic, but effective.
Players who can't get the timing right, can dodge those moves instead. We can block everything else, just watch your Ki meter to avoid a potential guard break. Apart from his projectiles (1 or 3), he has no means to attack us from afar. Take advantage of that and regain your Ki or – if you aren't interested in challenge runs – heal.
More tips:
-Matthew Perry wields the Saber (Commodore's Saber) and therefore the Jin style is recommended (more Ki damage). When we start the game from scratch there is no option to switch styles freely however,
-his Critical Blows (unblockable Martial Arts) are always delayed,
-good response after deflecting is Odachi's L1+Square Martial Art,
-parry his gunshot to empower your weapon with fire (for a little while),
-block is highly effective, just keep an eye on your Ki, -running costs Ki, so don't overdo it,
-when he focuses on your ally, you can run towards him and attack his back – 1 or 2 hits will do,
-be careful of his hyperarmored attacks – our regular moves will not stop his animations, only the Counterspark will. If he goes for a combo, we have to deflect the last hit at least, to flinch him,
-use the grappling rope to knock him down or to hurl barrels toward him.
Best of luck!
2024.04.14 05:47 Gold-Competition-456 Boss Difficulty Ranking based on My 100th time Clear game
Here is my Hardest Bully Boss / Faction Clique fight in the game even in free roam (using mods)
  1. Russel, I'm not understand why he is the first boss? I mean yes his boss mode is easy to counter using only 2 moves. But man in the free roam he is the scariest amongs all. I remember my old ps 2 play on 2006 that u was failed once because of russel smackdown attack when he is on low health
  2. Johnny Vincent, he is the second hardest in my opinion, why? He got Attack that unblockable also that overhead axe kick that takes your half of your health, also the bike pipe stage make the game harder because of Soda limit for refill health. But if you have all hobos move he is very quick to defeat, just dont fight him too long. But i always enjoying fight him for long time because he has a very cool theme among all the boss.
  3. Norton, he cannot be defeated easily with melee attacks, i tried once and it took me 2 tries to defeat him only using melee attack. But he is weak to firecrackers and super sling shot especially the bow super sling shot rapid rapid.
  4. Edgar, if you don't know the pattern yet about blocking his attack you will lose so many health because his pipe can snoop out your health. But after you know the pattern he is very easy boss to defeat
  5. Earnest, the breaking down the door is so hard. Especially on aniversary edition when you are using gamepad. The aiming is so bad that you need mouse or touch screen, also some nerds firing rocket launcher at you at the same time.
  6. Bull Mascot, he got russel move but can be avoided, his bully attack move is very constant. Also he got headbutt and gut kick that can stun you.
  7. Garry Smith, he got some unblockable combo attacks when he become the last boss of the game, also his long range throwing and all the traps he set can set your health very low and very dangerous to fight when you first time encounter him as a last boss
  8. Derby Harrington, he is the coolest second boss that i love enjoying it for a long time. Why i said he is easy even tough he got evade move, 8 hit in a row, and absolute blocking? Because he spawn his minions. His minions drop soda that can refill health, i can defeat 50 or 100 preps on Dishonored fight quest. The fighting song make the fight very enjoyable.
  9. Ted, he is the weakest boss i ever fight. I always got sleepy while fighting him, he is the most boring boss compared to all bossess in the game. I mean you just need to pick up some rugby balls with firecracker and throw it. After that you just 1 hit ko ted like what? Even when the task said i need to tackle ted, i was enjoying defeating all the jocks that come at me first. Usually i defeat 5 to 10 jocks and then i go after tex. I tought he was the captain but he is so weak and have small screen time. Even in free roam he is very weak.
I hope bully 2 can be released soon with some great story and cool boss fights. If there is a remake for bully 1 i will defenitely buy it on steam or consoles. This game is still gold after i played from ps 2 consoles to pc port to android port.
2024.04.08 00:11 Adghar Stuttering not caused by FPS drops
Hi everyone,
My girlfriend helped build a new gaming PC for me recently. The first few days using it were great - the main game I play, Elder Scrolls Online, ran like a dream. However, recently when waking the PC from sleep, the mouse would be unresponsive, and I would get a BSOD with DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Now, I'm getting choppiness/stuttering/"hitching" in the display - visual and audio. The stuttering is not regular, and seems better at some times than others.
That is, even YouTube videos and I think generally even if I'm just moving my mouse around the screen, there is stuttering.
Things we have tried:
My girlfriend ran various benchmarking tools yesterday, and all turned up healthy. CPU healthy. GPU healthy, lowest FPS reached was about 50 FPS. RAM healthy. SSD healthy. She tried diving into some diagnostics tools and couldn't find anything worthy. Whenever I open MSI Center, the CPU temp looks very chill (40-50 deg C).
So intuitively the answer is that most likely one of my drivers got corrupted, but I don't know how to check which one (since Device Manager says everything is perfect).
Below are specs:
some header i guess lmao etc
CPU 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700K 3.60 GHz
OS Windows 11 Home
Mobo MSI Pro Z790-A Max Wifi Pro Series
GPU NVIDIA EVGA 10G-P5-3897 - RTX 3080 Ultra Gaming 10 GB DDR 6X
RAM G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series DDR5 RAM 64 GB
SSD Samsung 980 Pro SSD With Heat Sink 2 TB
2024.04.06 11:27 ksprashu Issues running BTT SKR Mini E3 v2 and BTT TFT 3.5 v3 on Ender 3 v2
Hi, I wanted some inputs and guidance on this problem that I have with my 3v2.
I have had this printer for over 4 years now and I haven't used it at all in the last 2 years. It's just been lying in on corner gathering dust. So I decided to dismantle it, clean it up and assemble it with some new parts.
I had a BigTreeTech SKR Mini E3 v2 mainboard and also a BTT TFT 3.5 v3
I also ordered a Creality Dual Z axis upgrade.
Since the BTT SKR Mini e3 v2 is a drop in replacement, I more or less did everything properly including the power connectors. I also moved the part cooling fan connector to the right port as per various videos that I saw.
Anyway, once I set everything up, I tried powering on the printer and few things happend.
  1. The stock Ender 3v2 display kept beeping continuously. I turned it off after 5s.
  2. I unplugged the display, and turned it on for about 10s. This time there was white-ish smoke coming from the hotend shroud. The hotend fan wasn't running and the smoke was just flowing out (not being blown out). I was wondering if the hot end was burning something up (but I had just powered on the printer)
  3. I opened up the shroud and exposed the hot end and turned it back on. There was some smoke from the fan area (inside the shroud). I can't be certain if it was the hot end fan or the part fan. Ideally the part fan wouldn't have been turned on (since I hadn't started printing anything yet), so I suspect it might be the hot end fan. Also the hot end fan wasn't running.
  4. I suspect the polarity of the HE fan was reversed. But, I have directly wired the mainboard fan and the HE fan to the 24v output (via a parallel connection). I could hear the mainboard fan running, so how come the HE fan might have reverse polarity?
Any idea if I did something wrong with the BTT board? I didn't add any fuses that was provided in the box. I think they were all only for sensorless homing, so I didn't insert any of them. There was one jumper already set next to the display port. Was there something else that I needed to have done?
The other thing is the 3.5 TFT. Since the stock E3v2 display / controller didn't work, I plugged in the 3.5 TFT v3. I plugged in both the touch and dial cables. However when I turned it on, the LCD lit up, but there was no display. Nothing was showing up. I wonder if I connected the right port on the TFT (I think I used EXP1, but I think I read elsewhere that SKR E3 can be connected to EXP3).
Was that it, or am I supposed to flash any firmware on the LCD and on the board before getting started?
For now, I am just wondering what to do with the hot end fan. How do I unblock myself? Should I get a new fan and wire it up I wonder.
Any ideas? Any gotchas with the SKR Mini E3 v2 + BTT TFT 3.5 v3?
2024.04.05 16:12 lorentedford I need to announce first off that I am an idiot on how exactly Fail2ban works but what I need is some thing that filters out the errors and bans individuals for them.
I run Ltcraft.net its a small minecraft server community and I got on some one's list some where because now I am getting these errors in my console.
I need some help understanding what I should put in to filter these attacks. We have two ports one is for minecraft java 25565 the other is for the Geyser or bedrock gamers its 19132. It all dumps to one log in Bungeecord output located in my case here:
/home/amp/.ampdata/instances/Bungeecord/Minecraft/proxy.log.0
Small sample of console and what is outputted.
/150.138.92.185:10993] Sent too many packets per second INFO08:56:20 [Geyser-BungeeCord] /150.138.92.185:10993 tried to connect! 08:56:28 [Geyser-BungeeCord] /150.138.92.185:21808 tried to connect! [Geyser-BungeeCord] /150.138.92.185:21808 tried to connect! [Geyser-BungeeCord] /150.138.92.185:21808 tried to connect! [Geyser-BungeeCord] /150.138.92.185:21808 tried to connect! 08:56:30 Unblocked address /150.138.92.185
So I am guessing here and this is just a guess that in jail.local I will want to add this:
[minecraft-bungeecord] enabled = true port = 25565,19132 filter = minecraft-bungeecord logpath = /home/amp/.ampdata/instance/Bungeecord/Minecraft/proxy.log.0 maxretry = 3 findtime = 600 bantime = 3600
And in filter.d/minecraft-bungeecord.conf;
[Definition] failregex = \[.*\]: \[.*\] disconnected with: Could not connect to a default or fallback server, please try again later: io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException \[.*\]: \[.*\]<.*>.*tried to connect! \[.*\]: \[.*\]<.*>.*Sent too many packets per second ignoreregex =
Would this be the proper way to handle to create this??
Xiaomi 34inch curved monitor xmmntwq34 'ghosting' or double image issue? Any quick fix?
Hi all. I've close to zero knowledge about how electronics actually work (no formal training), but I'm quite adept at building PCs so swapping out circuit boards are easy enough for me. I was hoping the fix for the issue I'm facing would require just that. I've so far swapped out the tcon board thinking it was the culprit. Funny thing is that it shows the exact image result.
I then swapped a working drive board (i think that's what they call it. The one with the HDMI and DP ports) into the unit, and still the same result. Based on my limited knowledge, I can only assume the last thing left that could give image problems are delaminating tab bonds.
I've ruled out faulty ribbon cables as I've inspected them and swapped them around with the same image result.
The image you see here is my best attempt at getting a clear signal. It involved blocking the clock lines on the ribbon cable of one side. Let's call that side A.
If side A still had its clock lines blocked, and side B had some of its connectors blocked, I get a somewhat inverted colour, full screen but low resolution, scan-line looking image, without any flickering.
If side A was left unblocked, I would get a black screen with a strip of whitish image about a half centimetre wide running across the entire top of the display.
With side A disconnected, side B would show the same image quality as the video below, just with side A of the screen completely black.
If side B was disconnected and side A completely connected, I get no image
Grasping at straws here before I might just call it quits and put it out in the trash. But I still think it can be saved!
Any ideas from the pros?
How to Use V2Ray VPN for Online Privacy & Unblocking
https://preview.redd.it/wqt1ksndairc1.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc1f91f62d4f0b01f8e7c414cfe9ff2801f841b6
What is V2Ray?
If you’re looking for a powerful, open-source proxy tool that can help you bypass internet censorship and access restricted content, V2Ray is a fantastic option.
This versatile software uses advanced tunneling protocols to route your internet traffic through encrypted channels, making it difficult for anyone to monitor or block your online activities.
Benefits of Using V2Ray
Using V2Ray comes with several benefits, including:
  • Unblocking websites and services that are restricted in your region
  • Enhancing your online privacy and security by encrypting your internet traffic
  • Bypassing internet censorship and surveillance measures imposed by governments or organizations
  • Accessing geographically-restricted content, such as streaming services or online games
Setting Up V2Ray VPN
Downloading V2Ray
The first step in using V2Ray is to download the software from the official website. V2Ray is available for various platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android.
Visit the V2Ray project’s GitHub page and navigate to the “Releases” section to grab the latest version compatible with your operating system.
Installing V2Ray
After downloading the appropriate package for your platform, follow the installation instructions provided.
For Windows and macOS users, the process is straightforward, involving running the installer and following the prompts.
Linux users may need to extract the package and run the binary executable.
Configuring V2Ray VPN
Understanding V2Ray Config Files
V2Ray is highly configurable, and its behavior is controlled by JSON configuration files.
These files define various settings, such as inbound and outbound proxies, routing rules, and more.
While the default configuration works for basic use cases, you’ll likely need to modify these files to suit your specific needs.
Editing Config Files
Open the V2Ray configuration file in a text editor (e.g., Notepad++ for Windows, TextEdit for macOS, or a command-line editor like Vim or Nano for Linux). The file structure consists of three main sections:
Inbound Settings This section defines how V2Ray should handle incoming connections. You can specify the protocol (e.g., VMess, SOCKS, or HTTP), port number, and other settings related to inbound traffic.
Outbound Settings The outbound settings control how V2Ray routes your internet traffic. Here, you can define the remote server(s) to connect to, along with the protocols and encryption methods to use.
Routing Settings The routing section allows you to configure rules that determine how V2Ray should handle different types of traffic.
For example, you can specify which domains should be routed through the proxy and which should use a direct connection.
Connecting to V2Ray VPN
Starting the V2Ray Service
Once you’ve configured V2Ray according to your needs, it’s time to start the service.
On Windows, you can typically launch V2Ray from the Start menu or by running the executable file. On macOS and Linux, you’ll need to open a terminal and navigate to the V2Ray directory, then run the appropriate command (e.g., ./v2ray or sudo systemctl start v2ray ).
Checking Connection Status To verify that V2Ray is running and connected to the remote server, you can use various methods, such as checking the system tray icon (on Windows) or consulting the log files.
Additionally, you can visit websites that display your public IP address or perform online privacy tests to ensure your traffic is being routed through the VPN.
Using V2Ray VPN
Accessing Blocked Websites
One of the primary use cases for V2Ray is unblocking websites and services that are restricted in your region.
With V2Ray running and connected to a remote server, you can simply launch your web browser and navigate to the desired website.
Your traffic will be encrypted and routed through the proxy, allowing you to bypass censorship and access the content you want.
Enhancing Online Privacy
In addition to unblocking websites, V2Ray can also help enhance your online privacy.
By routing your internet traffic through an encrypted tunnel, V2Ray makes it difficult for third parties (such as your internet service provider or government agencies) to monitor your online activities or collect data about your browsing habits.
Bypassing Internet Censorship
In some countries or regions, internet censorship is a significant issue, with governments or organizations imposing restrictions on access to certain websites, social media platforms, or other online services.
V2Ray can help you bypass these censorship measures by routing your traffic through servers located in regions with less stringent internet regulations.
Advanced V2Ray Features
Domain Routing
V2Ray offers advanced routing capabilities that allow you to specify which domains or IP addresses should use the proxy and which should use a direct connection.
This feature can be useful for optimizing performance and reducing latency by only routing specific traffic through the VPN.
Load Balancing If you have multiple remote servers configured in V2Ray, you can enable load balancing to distribute your traffic across these servers.
This can help improve performance and reliability by utilizing the available bandwidth and resources more efficiently.
mKCP Protocol
V2Ray supports the mKCP protocol, which is designed to provide better performance and reliability over unreliable or lossy networks. If you’re experiencing connectivity issues or high latency with standard protocols like TCP or UDP, enabling mKCP can potentially improve your VPN experience.
Troubleshooting V2Ray
Common Issues
While V2Ray is generally stable and reliable, you may encounter issues such as connectivity problems, slow speeds, or configuration errors. Some common issues include incorrect port forwarding settings, firewall or antivirus software blocking V2Ray, or outdated configuration files.
Checking Logs
One of the best ways to troubleshoot V2Ray is to check the log files. These files contain detailed information about the software’s operations, including any errors or warnings that may have occurred.
You can typically find the log files in the V2Ray installation directory or a designated logs folder.
Updating V2Ray
If you’re experiencing persistent issues with V2Ray, it’s worth checking if there’s a newer version available. The V2Ray project is actively maintained, and updates often include bug fixes, performance improvements, and new features.
Follow the same process you used for the initial installation to download and install the latest version of V2Ray.
Conclusion
V2Ray is a powerful and versatile proxy tool that can help you bypass internet censorship, access restricted content, and enhance your online privacy and security. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you should now have a better understanding of how to set up and configure V2Ray, as well as how to leverage its various features to meet your specific needs.
Remember, while V2Ray can be an invaluable tool for protecting your online privacy and accessing blocked content, it’s essential to use it responsibly and within legal boundaries. Always exercise caution when connecting to unknown servers or accessing potentially harmful or illegal content.
FAQs
Is V2Ray free to use?
Yes, V2Ray is an open-source project and is entirely free to use. You can download and install it without any charges or subscriptions.
Can V2Ray be detected by my internet service provider (ISP)?
While V2Ray encrypts your internet traffic, making it difficult for your ISP to monitor your online activities, they may still be able to detect that you’re using a VPN service. However, many ISPs do not actively block or restrict VPN usage.
How do I obtain a V2Ray server?
You can either set up your own V2Ray server or subscribe to a commercial VPN service that offers V2Ray servers. Setting up your own server can be more complex but provides greater control and customization options.
Can V2Ray be used on mobile devices?
Yes, V2Ray is available for Android devices, allowing you to secure your mobile internet connection and access restricted content on the go.
What are the system requirements for running V2Ray?
V2Ray is a lightweight application with relatively low system requirements. As long as you have a modern operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux) and sufficient storage space for the installation files, you should be able to run V2Ray without any issues.
