Anyway, last year the organization hired a former client who had problems with me while she was a client. Let's call her Karen. Karen invented I had a problem with her religion. Total fabrication, but…
So since Karen got hired, the situation slowly went from bad to worse. She started a campaign among bosses and coworkers, slowly poisoning the atmosphere so much that I am at the point where nothing can be done.
My boss (let's call her Lily) wanted to keep me, and she was trying to sort out the issues. I followed Lily's directions and tried to mask more than before, and that worked nicely with most of my coworkers, except Karen. No matter how much I fawned over Karen, she continued bully-like behavior (just on the edge of being legally permissive). This attempt lasted since last September. No change. Lily went on maternity leave in March, and the situation has worsened since then.
In the end, I could not sleep. I felt nauseous every time I would drive to the office, and I started having meltdowns (crying kind) weekly. So today, I texted Lily that I would leave, and just talked with the person in charge about me leaving. Although legally I can leave in 2 weeks, I told the person in charge I can give them 2 months to transfer my duties to someone else. I am quite capable, so I was doing IT, cybersecurity, data analysis, accounts payable, and administrative stuff. A lot. The person in charge seemed happy when I resigned, and I can hear her laughing in her office right now. I can’t believe I didn’t quit earlier. To add titbit, the person in charge is on Karen’s side and since my boss, Lily, left on maternity leave, she started treating me almost as badly as Karen.
I can’t help but wonder if I made the right move, for some stupid reason. Any tips?

29M here using the apps after a breakup. The apps are driving me a bit crazy.
I don't have anything alarming in my profile, no fish pics, no drunk pics or with other girls, no red flags. Just a nice smiling portrait of me, a pic of me with a camera, skiing, and travelling.
My job is good, I speak a few languages, my bio is short and witty. My interests are concerts, travel, sports, etc. I workout a lot and am pretty fit. My mental health is good and I go to therapy. I am kind and conscientious in general, and emotionally intelligent usually.
And yet I only get like 3 matches a week and that's with Tinder Platinum.
The girls I do match with flake or ghost. Out of 200 matches using all the apps over 4 months I have been on precisely 4 dates. One recent date flaked 15 minutes before the date because I said I don't own a car. I'm not even joking.
Another girl sent me a message after the date just saying: 'You seemed a little anxious'. I then asked her why, she said it was because I tried to fill the silences too much.
I decided to put my photos on photofeeler and average around a 7 and 8 with my best photo getting a 9.
Many of the girls I do match with are either overweight, have very basic blurry selfie pictures of them, or quite unattractive.
What is going on here? For the record, Tinder is still where I do best, I average about 1 match a month on Bumble, and 1 every two weeks on Hinge. I only had one good period when first making account where I would have a lot of matches.
I'm really considering quitting but then I live in a rural area and it would be even harder to meet anyone.
Advice or even just sympathy would be appreciated xD

Hi everyone I will try make a rather long story short, I have been working as a chef in a hotel for 5/6 months.
Never missed a day off and 9 times out of 10 coming in a hour early off my own back (not get paid for the 1hr)which I am fine with.i do this just to make sure we are all ready for the 6:30pm service. I am on a 45 hour contract salary 27,000 chef de partie This is just for some context^ Unfortuantly after some real horrific things have gone on in the last few weeks. 1 being my own grandad has been asking for inappropriate photos of my legs and ‘hairy chest’ and several other awful things. he had been grooming me for a month and I physically couldn’t come to terms with what was going on. 23M btw. 2 Another reason for leaving abruptly was my dad passed away to be honest we never really talked but I had a lot of memories and even after the fact he was my dad. It all got overwhelming and I couldn’t face doing another split shift and desperately needed time on my own so quit my job.
I was owed 120 hours but they emailed me today saying I breached contract so will not be payed my holiday pay. I go to Ghana for 6 weeks in September to help build schools with a charity and was hoping to use the money to help fund that. Am I stuck here ? Or is there anything I can do? Hi, folks. I noticed something about myself. Want to see how common it is.
Suppose I meet a girl. She's cute, has similar taste in music to me, but no quirks. I'm attracted to her, but not nearly as attracted as I would be with quirks, and those quirks are common among ND women. It's like whatever mechanism is associated with romantic attraction gives a lot of bonus points to women on the spectrum.
I can go a long time without meeting women on the spectrum, so I start to forget how the ones I like make me feel. When it happens, the contrast so stark, I feel like I'm meeting a woman for the first time ever, or maybe meeting someone from the same species for the first time. It's a relief, but also makes me aware of how alien I felt before.
What is that? Am I I being dishonest if I'm dating someone NT who I do like but lacks the ND traits that can really light up my brain?

Hello, I am building up my home server, and I'm outside of a 2-week no reason given return window on all of the parts. When I got the RAM I tested it with my PC, and there it ran just fine at 3,6GT/s; MOBO of the home server was already bought, but it was in a different location at the time and since it worked fine in my PC I figured that everything would be peachy. However when I tried the same XMP profile on the home server MOBO with the same RAM - not a chance that it would work. I updated the BIOS to the latest non-beta version for the server MOBO. I even swapped RAM around between the server and PC, and wouldn't you know it - RAM from my PC runs coincidentally at 3,6GT/s XMP just fine even in the server MOBO. Furthermore, I sanity-checked if the server RAM would run stably in the XMP in my PC and it does - had a whole gaming sesh without any hiccups. Scpecs in question: PC - CPU, MOBO, RAM; Server - CPU, MOBO, RAM. Now I bought two of both RAM kits, since it was way cheaper that way; each kit gets its own channel on the MOBO - although in my desperation I have tried every possible permutation of stick-to-slot combination with the XMP profile on the server MOBO, but to no avail. I also tried slower XMP#2 with bit better timings on the server MOBO with server RAM which worked flawlessly. Now don't judge me too hard on this one, only thing that I had in this location that could work as a display was an old TV, nevertheless here are pics from the BIOS of the PC and of the server. I tried to copy the timings reported on the PC whilst in the XMP profile as best as I could given that the PC is AMD-based and the server is Intel-based, so the timings are not named/used 1:1 but that did not work for me either. As an option of last resort, I'm turning to y'all, cuz at this point I don't know what to take as a next step. Any and every help is much appreciated; thx guys!

Hi I found this shoe cleaning out my grandmas barn. The shoe is metal and smells like a penny. I have no idea on the age but it was in there a while. The stamp on the back says 117-M India and it looks like it was done with a pointed metal rod.

I creeped and found Rayna's old Facebook page and there are some pictures of her from a long time ago - I think both these photos are from 2013 so granted people look a lot different in their late 30's now compared to their late 20's 10 years ago. Yes her hair is thinner especially in the photo of just her (cropped) but it looks a lot healthier and better. She did actually have dark hair at one point y'all! I actually like the darker blonde on her better than the really dark brown. I think a toned-down version of the dark blonde would look phenomenal since it looks a bit brassy in the photo here. Chestnut brown could look really good too!

Has my cheese slid off my cracker? So, my doctor called me about some tests that were done. Said he would send the info to the specialist I booked an appointment with. Great! All good stuff. Then a nurse or medical assistant named miss Kindvoice calls me from the specialist saying that my doctor sent the stuff but they have no idea who I am. They checked their computer and I have no records there. So, I say let me call you back in 20 minutes when I get the business card to check that I gave my doc the correct info. She says sure, just call back before the end of day.
I go get the card and just call back the same number that called me. A lady answers and I give her my info and tell her that I was confirming my appointment for Wednesday. Again, she tells me that she has no idea who I am. So I tell her that it was an issue and miss Kindvoice told me to call her back when I found the business card with all the info on it. So, she says okay, let me get miss Kindvoice and she can help figure this out. Great!
Miss Kindvoice gets on the line and says hi what's this about? I tell her that we talked 20 minutes ago and there was an issue about them having no idea I existed. She's like okay, I didn't call anyone but I can help you figure this out. Great!? (But then how did I know her name?) yeah let's figure this out. She asks when my appointment is and I tell her. Date and time. She says that the doctor doesn't work that day of the week and to check the card to make sure I have the right doctor. So I read off the info, doctor name, address of office and office number. And she says that all that info is correct. I'm calling the right doctor. Which I know because I just went to recent calls on my phone and called that number back. But whatever. At this point i have given my name and number 5 times. So she says she will make an appointment for the day after that the doctor does work. Great?!
So, I get the appointment and I think I'm done, right? Wrong! Not done. Then the doctor herself calls me back and says that she wants to meet on the original date that's written on the card but at a different location to do some sort of specialized test that's based off the information my primary care doctor sent to her. So, we've come full circle again. Back to 5/15.
So, again, I read them the card front and back. Correct address. Correct doctor. Correct everything except the doctor changed the address to another location.
So, have I gone insane? Did the cheese slide off my cracker? Does the elevator go all the way to the top? Does the world end if I don't make the appointment? Is this like when the flash goes back in time and creates Flashpoint? Is this time travel? The Mandela effect? Glitch in the matrix? Am I a brain in a jar? Is that you? Is this me?

Hi, I'm writing my first xianxia novel and my reading experience is very limited (MXTX novels only, and various articles about the genre for research). Im aware that in most xianxia, a cultivator's golden core is not a physical item the same way a beast core is, however authors like MXTX take liberties with this. I've read that beast cores are often consumed for power, but I can't find any novels that have taken this approach with golden cores. I'm aware of other demonic methods like human cauldrons, human sacrifice, etc.
My main character is a demonic cultivator whose main method of accumulating power is consuming other cultivators' golden cores. Does anyone know of a good book (or I guess any book) that uses this as a plot point?
Side question: is there a subreddit for xianxia specifically ? I see novel translations, wuxia world, and this subreddit which seemed closest, but no xianxia specific board.

For context, I’m a 25yo female, that comes from a mixed background (my mother 56F is a white woman from southern Europe, my father is from the Balkans and migrated to my country when he was younger). This is relevant and you will understand later.
I moved away from home as soon as I could when I was 18 after a not so good childhood, and currently live in another European country. My parents are divorced, my father is not really in the picture, I keep in touch with my mother on a daily basis and come visit her and the rest of the family once or twice a year. We never had the best relationship but since I moved out it improved a lot. I’d say we get along better when I’m far away from home.
Anyway, back to the reason of this post. I’ve been seeing this guy for more than a year, he’s great, we’re slowly getting to know each other and see where this is going. We are not in a rush but of course this is a relationship and I felt it was time to tell something more to my mother. I’ve always been quite open about my relationships and people I was dating, however since getting older I started being more private as I don’t think it would be good to mention every failed date to my mother (lol). We come from a typical small town in southern Europe, where people are bigots and close-minded. The news on the tv are constantly complaining about immigrants coming to our country and jadajadajada. The government is mostly right wing. So yeah, I didn’t really mentioned much about this guy, first of all cause I’m trying to keep it private but also because I could imagine her reaction, since she’s the standard average middle age woman that you find on Facebook without much culture. She is ignorant not as an insult but as in the real sense of the word: she ignores, she doesn’t inform herself and just believes whatever the media tells her.
Anyway, she suspected I was seeing someone for a while, I never really said much but I’ve been giving her a few hints in the past weeks and now that I came back to my hometown for a week she started being very curious. The day after I arrived we were casually talking before bed and she just kept asking “C’mon, don’t you have a pic of this guy? Show me! C’mon c’mon! I’m your mother!” so, one side of me didn’t wanna show her, the other one was excited cause at the end of the day I’m proud of my relationship and I was happy to tell her more (maybe naively hoping for a good outcome…). So without thinking much I showed her one of the best pictures of him. Literally in the millisecond while I was showing her the picture she said something like: “hope it’s not a n****” (WHATTT???).
At that point the phone was already on her face. It was done. She said it, and at the same time she saw the picture. She was speechless and I was too. I was ashamed of her. And sad.
She didn’t say anything more for the following 10 minutes, she went to her room and I went to mine. Afterwards she just asked “does he even work?!” And I told her “don’t worry about it, he’s better off than the both of us” just to make her shut up about that question that I found so disrespectful. This made me just so sad, and disappointed.
But the worst had yet to come. We didn’t speak much about it at all until today.
We were having a casual conversation during the afternoon when the relationship topic came out. In particular, we were talking about how your partner should improve your life and not making it worse, meaning he should make you happy, he should bring good positive vibes, get along etc. that’s what I was thinking and referring to. But she started being very materialistic, she asked me “so, in which way is he improving your life?!” in a very aggressive sassy tone “I don’t see anything changing“ she said. I was mentioning that he makes me happy when the conversation degenerated. All sort of things came out of it.
She started by saying: “well, I truly hopes this will be just a friend and you will keep it like that” then she continued with: “please take birth control precautions before you regret it” “don’t come to me later saying I didn’t stop you” and the cherry on top was: “I would have preferred if you told me you were a lesbian cause at least that is cool nowadays”.
I was speechless and I still am.
I asked her what is it that she doesn’t like and what is she basing her opinions on, since she literally knows nothing about him. She couldn’t answer. She kept repeating the same things over and over and she also said she would never want to meet him. I have to mention that the few guys she met that I was dating were of different cultures, but she never had a problem with them, I guess because the skin color was the same… and in her mind there are probably foreigners of Class A, B, C… I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I neither expected such a bad reaction. All this hurts me so much. I don’t know what to do. In my mind it neither makes sense cause she married an immigrant but it seems like she never really came to terms with it, she never really accepted it. For instance, I know nothing about my father’s culture, I never learned the language or interesting facts about it because nobody ever thought me anything about it. I only learned about my mother’s side culture of the country I lived in. And I always felt out of place because this country is extremely racist. The fact that my father was not a good husband or father has nothing to do with where he comes from. If a person is an idiot, is an idiot no matter what. And I told her this when we were talking. The fact that she had a bad experience doesn’t mean that I will, just because I’m seeing someone from a different culture. I also explained to her that I am myself an immigrant, since I’m living in another country. But it doesn’t seem to click in her head. And when I told her, to her face, that she is indeed racist, she obviously denied it, because how can she be racist if she married an immigrant herself?
And of course during today’s conversation there was some victim behavior on her side, because every time I come back here it’s certain that we are gonna fight and every time it happens I say stuff like “let’s see when and if I will come back again!”. So she was bringing that up cause the other day I said “the first racist comment I hear I’m gone”. She mentioned that, saying I don’t care about her, that she has to beg for me to call her (mind you, we write good morning, good night, text here and there during the day and we talk on the phone 3/4 times a week…). She even said that “she lost me already the moment I left”. Honestly, I don’t know what else more than this she expects from me if what I do is not enough already.
So I don’t really know how to handle this anymore. And I’m also just venting and need some support.
TL;DR: my 25F mother 56F doesn’t approve of my boyfriend 28M just because of the color of his skin. Her opinion is based solely on a photo I showed her and claims she lost me cause I don’t do enough for her.

Hi everyone first time poster here! I'm desperate for some tips and would be grateful for help.
Our 11mo daughter is healthy and extremely active. I'm basing this off my observations of other babies the same age at the baby classes I take her to such as swimming, baby gym, baby art class etc. This means she is on the go all the time, which obviously isn't a worry to us, and there are huge positives such as her being an incredibly sound and routined sleeper after using up all her energy!
The one area where her activity causes a huge and increasing problem is nappy changes. It is becoming almost impossible to do as she will resist lying down, try to roll over immediately, try to crawl away instantly and increasing she's getting really upset and crying as soon as nappy changes begin. It's even hard when both my husband and I do it together.
I use a mat with raised sides. I always use a toy or book to distract her, or some music. I sing to her. I try to make sure I don't show how in feeling (probably a bit stressed!) It's become a physical battle to the point I've been worried in trying to hold her down that I will accidentally hurt her. Obviously I don't want her to be upset or heaben forbid, injured. I just want to clean her bum!
I would really appreciate some helpful tips for our little mover!

Last Tuesday I got into a car accident in a two lane traffic circle. I'm planning on going through other party's insurance due to her turning into me (details below) but I guess I was just wondering who to speak with about this. I have filed a claim and spoken with the other persons insurance. My insurance adjuster told me to go to her insurance and ask them for next steps. My friends and family keep telling me I shouldn't have to do so and my insurance should be handling speaking with the other company. I have never been in this situation so I don't know what the process is. Are the insurance companies telling me the wrong thing, or are my friends and family? If insurance should be handling communication then I can tell them to communicate but I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong by talking to her insurance company based on my insurance adjusters advice.
Details: I was driving on the inside lane (two directional travel available - can go either straight, or left) and other driver was in the outside lane (one directional travel - can only go straight in that lane). The lady in the outside turned left into my car from the straight lane and hit the side of my car. Both vehicles are damaged, her front left corner fender and my right passenger side doors and she hit my tire as well. I supplied photos to my insurance company (Progressive) who found her 100% at fault according to my adjuster. My adjuster then told me to contact the other persons insurance for next steps. I did so, and they got my recorded statement, which apparently didn't match hers (she states she was only going straight and said nothing about turning. She did tell the officer that she was trying to turn so that should theoretically show up on the police report). I was planning on using her insurance to fix my car due to her turning into me. Her insurance adjuster told me today they were leaning towards siding with her because our statements don't match and that they were waiting on the police report. Other party's insurance (Country Financial) "strongly suggests" I go through my insurance to get my vehicle fixed as they have not reached a decision yet which could take another 7-10 business days depending on when they have access to the police report.
My car is still drivable but I'm just not sure about the tire really. I haven't had it looked at yet because I don't want to pay out of pocket for something insurance should be handling.
If I use my insurance, then will my company will get the money back from Country Financial at some point since Progressive found the other party fully responsible? I do have both liability and collision coverage. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

Hi! I am a college student in my last semester. I am just looking for some advice for my final portfolio! I am still definitely an amateur when it comes to photography, as my main focus is graphic design. However, I do still want to grow in photography.
I have a list of different types of photos I need, but my main one that I am struggling with is coming up with a theme for my photo essay. To preface, I live in a small plain southern town, and it's hard to find something that everyone hasn't already captured in my classes. I really want to do something different, and something that I can be passionate about, but nothing too controversial. I'm just at a loss, I've looked at article after article that all say the same 10 theme ideas.

I’m a newly self published debut author. The artist that created my cover created as well Instagram ads for me and I’m testing one at the moment.
Now the point is: I have no experience with instagram whatsoever. Since launch last Wednesday I run one advertisement for four quits a day. Can someone please tell me if the below results are good? I read that an engagement rate of 1-3% is average; now I wonder, what is the engagement rate exactly? Does it only consider likes, saves and comments, or also if the person followed the link or went to my profile?
As of now, I have 31 likes and 16 saves. Instagram said that the reach is 2,609 and that 154 visited my Amazon (btw—it didn’t realise into sales; although someone read the whole book on Saturday via kindle unlimited)
So is my engagement rate now (31+16)/2,609 = 1.8%
Or 154 / 2,609 = 5.9%
Or 0%?
Essentially I try to understand if I’m on a sort of good path or if I’m wasting money.

Hi all I really need some advice as I’m at my wits end right now. I have a 11 week old Staffy maximus, he’s very slowly getting potty training and knows fair few commands like sit, lay down, paw, bed and wait just the basics at the moment, but the issue is biting and he bits hard me and my partner are covered in cuts and bite marks because he just attacks and doesn’t stop until he can’t reach you even then he will cry until he is able to reach you. I know he is young and still learning but it seems like we can’t do anything with him without being bit. I’ve reach point where I don’t want to be around him or play with him because of how much he is hurting me 😞 I’ve added video of what he gets like now this video was in first week and because I was getting a videoing I couldn’t do much to stop him but you can see how I show him toys and he just not interested just wants to bite me and will keep going like that, he gets worse when he tried so we been putting him down for more naps like sleeps most of the day naps with hour or less between them for play/food/toilet. I just don’t know what we doing wrong and I just want to do what’s best for him. I’ve broken down to my partner multiple times because I’m so overwhelmed and I hate myself for saying this but right now I’m regretting getting him, I keep being told it gets better and it’s worth it in the end but I just don’t see it right now. He is our second dog and our first is was nothing like this, I’ve never known a dog so obsessed with biting people, he kept trying to bit vet when he got jabs done and when people come over to meet him he tries biting them as well. so far we have tried sending him to bed, staying still (that hurt a lot) telling him no, moving away, redirecting to toys, pet corrector spray, giving more naps, not giving any attention moment he bits, moving him away from us, yelping, more toys with different textures, frozen carrots in case it’s his teeth, currently learning leave it but doesn’t work when he biting us, he is crate trained, picking him up work for couple days but moment out down he will continue, we are now looking into a trainer as well

I’m a gamer! I play on all platforms, including: Xbox Series X, PS5, Switch, Meta Quest 3, and PC! Right now I’m back in my competitive gaming zone.
