Elite Labs is the worst adderall manufacturer I have ever seen

2024.05.14 19:06 Competitive-Ad4994 Elite Labs is the worst adderall manufacturer I have ever seen

Please tell me im not crazy...the pharmacy ran out of the regular generic adderall XR I use, and gave Elite Labs manufactured meds for half of my script. I now only use them as my weekend doses because they are so bad and im not working. They do not work nearly as well as the other brand. Someone please tell me that you've had a similar experience. I could drink a celsius for less than what it costs to fill a script.

2024.05.14 18:47 2begreen I’m so depressed.

I am now going on 3 months without. I keep seeing stories here about successes at finding it. Beginning to think it’s me. Been through 3 pharmacies Bartells express scripts and cvs. Am afraid to switch my script again in fear I just go to bottom of list.
Any suggestions?

2024.05.14 16:48 RubRevolutionary5057 Wondering how best to navigate titration

TLDR; have started titration on 18mg methylphenidate, currently on Xaggitin XL, initially felt potent, now not so sure it's having a positive affect, interested in people's opinions on where to go with my titration: higher dose of methylphenidate, Lisdexamfetamine, fast acting vs slow release, etc.
Hello,
I (29M) was privately diagnosed back in February, and have recently started on meds - generic methylphenidate 18mg (which I'm told is the common starting point). Currently I'm on Xaggitin XL, which was all they had at my local pharmacies (I called three), and they only had 23 of my 28 tablet script.
On day one I felt wired, like I'd been woken up. It was definitely a stimulant effect, somewhat similar to nicotine or lots of caffeine.
This did trigger imposter syndrome thoughts (e.g. Oh no, the meds feel like a stimulant and people who ACTUALLY have ADHD don't become stimulated by meds) but then I realised that: whilst stimulants will affect someone with ADHD paradoxically to someone without ADHD, someone with ADHD will experience different stimulants in a similar way. So of course meds will feel similar to other stimulants, when the only frame of reference is your own prior experience of taking stimulants.
This gave me some comfort, so I'm sharing it in case it comforts anyone else.
Anyway, I was intensely hyperfocused, but unfortunately not on my work; e.g. I rationalised the filing system on my personal PC, consolidated my Dropbox, Google drive and one drive, etc.
It's been a couple of weeks since, and I don't feel the same affects now. I definitely feel like I've had a stimulant, but it's not enough to overcome the inertia of getting started on my work. My work isn't ADHD friendly, (lots of long-term projects happening simultaneously, competing priorities, endless to do list, constantly behind, admin/process/compliance heavy) so I think there's a significant avoidance/stress element to my struggle.
Sadly I had a bereavement a couple of weeks before starting my meds, and another a week into my meds, which has been affecting my general mood. The meds made me feel unwell (fight or flight response) the day of finding out about the more recent bereavement.
I just feel 'on edge', and the meds aren't really helping me to work more productively.
Which leads me to my question, how best to navigate titration from here?
I've heard others express they didn't get on with Xaggitin XL, others say they prefer multiple quick release meds throughout the day rather than one slow release, others who like one slow release in the morning and a quick release mid afternoon, etc.
Any advice on where to go from here? What to ask my Psychiatrist?
Cheers

2024.05.14 14:23 Western_Setting2442 Brand name adderall

Do any of you pay for the brand name xr adderall bc it works better? I have been through many generics and they do not work at all! Apparently, many of the authorized generics are not available right now. What are your thoughts? CVS pharmacist said I can use goodrx to purchase the brand name Adderall. Any advice would be appreciated thank you so much

2024.05.14 11:57 Mobile-Actuary-5283 CVS Availability

Caremark mail order is no longer covering certain GLP-1 meds (Zepbound was never carried in the first place, but they won't carry Wegovy and Mounjaro as of May 15th). They gave very little prior warning. I still don't have official communication from them about this change. I found out on these threads.
At the same time, I am finding a handful of CVS stores outright stating they are no longer going to even TRY to order Zep. Even the ones I have used before that still have active orders that are in process but out of stock. My refill for 7.5 was sitting at one CVS since 4/2. I called them yesterday to do my weekly check if it will be filled anytime soon and the once-pleasant pharmacist said: "major national backorder indefinitely -- call your dr for an alternate med. We are no longer ordering these."
I then went to another CVS where I have filled before that has been pretty decent and they said that they haven't heard anything impacting stores nationally so it must be a store-by-store decision as of now. But she said she wouldn't be surprised if more stores adopt this approach. And all the customers who used Caremark mail order now must fill at retail -- and many of their plans ONLY allow you to fill at CVS (like mine). So that means more traffic will flood the remaining CVS stores that are trying to order making it harder to claim the few boxes that come in here and there.
FWIW -- none of the CVS stores I spoke to were optimistic. It is unfortunate that this is the only pharmacy I can fill at per my plan.
Has anyone else had any issues with their local CVS stores starting to refuse to fill? Or is this just a temporary store-by-store thing?

2024.05.14 11:13 DoggyDoggyWhatNow_ TEVA finasteride 1mg - wanting to hear other's experiences

Been on Propecia for 5 years, had tons of regrowth and stabilization since. Thing is, I have to get the brand name from treated.com, which costs me a lot of money.
I can get TEVA generic finasteride 1mg for waaay cheaper at my pharmacy. I've switched a few times, but every time I've shed a bit and the itch came back, so I've chickened out and switched to Propecia again.
I have been relentlessy googling but I can't find any case of anyone get just a little bit of regrowth with Teva finasteride alone, even though people say it's "trusted". In fact, most guys here have written "stabilized and then i lost some volume" so I don't actually think it's working very well at all. Propecia has been a godsend for my aggressive hair loss.
So I'm asking: has any of you had regrowth with Teva? Or at leeeeeast maintained without regressing further? Otherwise I think I'd rather work a couple extra hours a month to not lose my hair. Thank you!

2024.05.14 08:53 acft29 Issues with getting Synthroid

As of mid April my health insurance does not cover Synthroid and I decided I'd just get it through the Synthroid Delivers Program because I've ordered through them before. Unfortunately, the package was delivered somewhere, just not in my mailbox even though it said it was delivered. No idea where it could be and Eagle Pharmacy won't send a new package unless I file a claim through USPS. I can't file a claim because according to USPS because it was not insured. So now Eagle Pharmacy is saying I will have to pay another $75. Beyond irritated. :(
At this point, I'm thinking MAYBE go on generic, but I have been on Synthroid now for about 6 years. My endocrinologist always told me to stick with name brand. I also have hashimotos.
Has anyone had any luck with generic???? I am very reluctant to take the generic.

2024.05.14 07:56 pandemonious Insulin Aspart (novolog generic from Norodisk) is out of stock in a lot of places. I had to get namebrand Novolog today - wanted to share.

Hi all first post here really but I just wanted to make people aware of this coupon directly from the manufacturer's website that my provider actually recommended.
If I paid out of pocket for the Novolog, would have been ~$1200 for the 3 bottles. Cash prices with CVS discount card brought the 3 bottles down to ~$240.00.
Manufacturer card got me all three bottles for $99 out the door. I usually pay around $30-40 through my insurance for the generic.
This site -> https://www.novocare.com/ lets you choose the product you are looking for and confirms your eligibility. It will cover if you have insurance, I believe you must have some commercial insurance for this. I may be mistaken.
Other insulin manufacturers probably have a similar program but I don't use Humalog anymore so I am unsure. But I think this is due to the law passed last year capping insulin prices.
Please let me know if links are not allowed, typing "novolog manufacturer discount" in google will provide the same result. Just wanted to share as this saved me literally hundreds of dollars.

2024.05.14 04:36 confusedrxtech Patients really don’t get how bad our system is

I mean for real though. It’s one thing for the people to come through for pickup saying, “I’m picking up for Josh,” and not knowing that the entirety of the healthcare industry is run by last name, first name basis. Not only that, they don’t realize that this software was around before the dinosaurs and that breathing in its direction crashes it. They don’t realize how slow it is. When I’m on the phone with a patient asking for refills, they don’t realize it takes 3-5 minutes to refill 5 rxs because you can’t select more rxs than appear on a a screen at a time, it takes minutes to communicate with insurance, and if you go in for a refill without hitting alt+C on every screen open on your screen then you can’t refill. You literally have to back out of the program in its entirety, if you don’t remember their dob you have to ask again just to get to the second list of rxs needing refills. It crashes processing COBs, you can’t refill more than five patients rxs without getting a screen saying “maximum number of patients open” and by god you cannot do a single thing to a patients rx without closing out and hitting refresh 97 times before you’re able to update the rx again. Even if it goes from reviewed to printed or printed to filled, you have to refresh each time it does that. If you update insurance half the time the rx stores itself or goes back to printed. If I’m changing a TPR rx from brand to generic I have to put in the brand two to three times before I can switch it to no substitution, and as I’m doing that I have another screen pop up saying generic not covered, or to override with 9991, or it does it over and over until I have to cash it out, get it F4’d and then ctrl+M to change the manufacturer or from brand to generic. Yes, I know the generic isn’t covered that is why I’m changing it to brand. It shouldn’t be this time consuming. Without the trick that works 75% of the time, if I’m working on a ready status rx and putting a secondary on there, I’ll have to delete the rx, put it back in, run it as a cob, and get the rx ready all over again wasting everyone’s time. If I have 30 F1’s, 20 of those are “rx cancellation notice, rx transfer request, patient adding photo of insurance card” etc before I get to actual prescriptions needing to type. Those should automatically print out. If the computer can make an entire profile for a patient based off the info on the rx, it should be able to differentiate between rxs and scam faxes we get and automatically print them. Also, we have a dedicated screen just for TPRs. Why on earth do they appear in the F1’s as well. Among the litany of other issues I can think of these are just a few. We are fighting an uphill battle. Never worked in another pharmacy so I don’t know how prevalent these issues are throughout other retailers, but Jesus Christ it’s terrible.
Patients if yall are on here please cut us some slack. As much as I wish I could get this phone call over with our software is shit and we can’t do anything about it but let it run its course. And for the love of god, give us your DOB and last name. Not your first name.

2024.05.14 03:23 TeddyBearOverlord Anyone else get weird side effects from generic Wellbutrin?

Hi guys,
I took Wellbutrin for a brief period of time 5 years ago. The stuff changed my life, but after the prescription ended I decided to try to raw dog life. I unfortunately have found myself in another depressive state and have had to resort to anti depressants once more to keep myself stable, safe and afloat. My doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin, and on the prescription it said the words “Wellbutrin”. No other name, nothing. I even have a picture of it on my phone.
I go to fill out the prescription and the pharmacist asks me if I have any health insurance. I don’t, but I was willing to pay up front for it no matter how much it was. I get my prescription and take it…. 8 hours in I felt like I was going to simultaneously have a heart attack and vomit. I had hot flashes, an accelerated heart beat and nausea with stomach pains and had an anxiety attack.
This was an immediate red flag to me because Wellbutrin has never made me have side effects like that ever in the time I was on it. I read the bottle and realize the word “Wellbutrin” isn’t on it at all. Instead, it read “Teva bupropion”. I search it up and it’s the generic brand.
I was absolutely pissed the pharmacist did this without consulting me or without my consent. I called the pharmacy and asked why I was having all these side effects and the answer I got was “well you shouldn’t be having those side effects”. Great answer, Jack ass. I did some more research and found that these side effects are consistent with Teva Bupropion and that a lot of other people on Wellbutrin haven’t been able to handle the generic brand because it also gives them wierd side effects too.
I just want to know if the pharmacist was gaslighting me because he was a Jack ass for not warning me ahead of time and did this without my knowledge and he’s trying to save his own ass, or if anyone else has had the same experience. It honestly feels like I’ve taken 9 tablets of adderall and I feel like I’m going to die. Is this common?

Where would you stand in line? A, B, C or D?
Sign 2 says "Enter Here" and Sign 1 says "Please wait here for patient privacy". Points A and D are on the counter side of the rope. Points B and C are on the man's side of the rope.
No, this is not a CVS photo, but it's the setup my CVS Pharmacy has and I had some people upset with me because I stood at point C instead of A. The right side said pick up and the left side said consultation.

2024.05.14 02:10 FunLife3349 Cashier asked me if I was diabetic

New experience - wondering if this has happened to anyone before. I was so very close to finally getting my hands on 5mg after dozens of pharmacy calls and spaced out doses. I finally found a Walgreens, and when I presented my discount card (I pay the $550 out of pocket) they asked me if I was diabetic. I told them no, I’m pre-diabetic- and before I mentioned any other diagnoses he walked away.
After some conversation, the pharmacist comes to me and says my prescription transfer from CVS was missing an ICD10 code and they can’t use my discount card. I asked if CVS needed it, and they said they don’t know their policies.
My doctor is out of office and I don’t know this code, it’s not on any paperwork.

2024.05.14 00:33 insidicide Psych Refuses to Write a Prior Auth for the Meds That I Have Been Taking for Years

I’m honestly wondering if there is something that I don’t understand about this. I recently found out that my pharmacy has been dispensing my methylphentidate 27mg ER tablets me via a discount card, but I thought it they were going through my insurance plan. When I tried to change it to insurance, the medication requires a prior authorization.
No big deal I thought. But today in the appointment with my psych, I mention the PA needed, and they tell me they won’t write it. It’s against office policy to write a PA for drugs with a generic available. Frustrated, I explained that my insurance plan has a shared deductible for drugs & regular medical, and as a result being able to charge my med costs to the deductible saves me a lot of money. I usually hit my deductible every year.
The reasoning given was that it takes too much time, and that since the generic is available, it won’t cost me that much money out of pocket.
This explanation seems lazy to me, especially if my insurance company requires a PA for the generic.
Now I’m wondering, can an insurance require a PA for a generic drug? Was my psych possibly confused or misinformed? This situation seems very silly to me, I’ve never had anything like this happen before.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Hi folks, wondering how people are phoning multiple pharmacies and then racing to one with supply, to get their prescription filled. My prescription is currently with CVS so I know all CVSes can fill it but how would I suddenly rock up at a non CVS pharmacy and request Zepbound? I read it can take several days for a prescription to transfer between pharmacies.
For reference, I’ve just been prescribed Zepbound and haven’t managed to get my first prescription filled yet. Thanks!

2024.05.13 22:10 Goontoon98 High copay for insurance, what to do?

I switched from Adderall XR to Vyvanse hoping it won’t have the same side effects, or at least not the same degree.
My insurance has the copay for Vyvanse $375! It’s also been tough getting the generic since the shortage is still going on and pharmacies in my area can’t get it.
I’m hoping that switching to an online pharmacy might help, I have my fingers crossed.
What should I do?

2024.05.13 21:45 Mari-xoxo CVS: “On Hold” changed to “Action Required?”

As the title says, my CVS app had my 7.5mg listed as “on hold” since the prescription arrived in early April. Today, I went and checked and now it says “action required.” Is this a good sign by this being a potential PA required or am I going to be disappointed with another ‘out of stock’ answer. It says to “call pharmacy for options” but they’re very understaffed and not responding to calls well. I’ll get through to them… eventually.
I don’t know if this matters - I also tried to restart at 2.5 recently and that prescription is now “on hold.” When I called, they said it’s on hold bc it’s unavailable (when it’s been in stock for weeks, but that’s a shortage rant for another day). Maybe the system only allows one medication dosage to be “on hold” at a time and this is why the 7.5 has “action required?” TIA
