This is a little bit in the weeds. I'm not sure how many people utilize this dialogue option but there are actually some interesting strategic benefits to asking players for staff or player signing recommendations. I find it fun and immersive and I never see anyone else mention it.
The main thing I would highly recommend using it for is either when you takeover at a club, especially one with money or you sign a big name player. In the latter example I would ask the individuals you plan on assigning captain and vice captain for recommendations. Keep in mind for players there are 24 possible threads to ask through GK, DEF, MF & Attack each with 6 options ranging from prospect to star player. A cheaper option could also be asking them to recommend a coach. If they've been on the team for a long time chances are they'll name someone from the national team they play on.
The benefit to signing the recommended personnel is that the player asked will immediately put you to the top of their favorite personnel, praise you in the media, and the new signing and the player you asked will put each other on their favored personnel. It's a great way to build immediate influence over your new team and build team cohesion by having players who favor each other within the squad. Also there's no down side to asking, they don't expect you to sign said person and just asking gives a small morale boost. Having a team captain who likes you and has high leadership influence is the best way to consistently squash out unhappy players within the squad, wanting to leave or wanting new contracts etc..
You can also kind of reverse engineer this, say if there's a wonderkid midfielder you want to sign from Brazil who plays for the U19's national team. If you already have a young Brazilian kid on your squad who has played with said transfer target you can ask him if he has any recommendations for a midfield prospect then if he recommends the player you want when you sign him they'll both be immediately bonded and the player settles a lot easier. It's kind of like a fun 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon type mini game. I find that players generally make pretty decent recommendations.
So for those of you that get bored with traditional wonderkid farming you can try what I'm doing with my new Auxerre save, I got promoted in year one and I'm letting myself have a normal transfer window to arm myself for the higher tier but after that I'm only allowing myself to sign players that players already on my squad recommend. It might seem restrictive but it should be interesting. I have good youth recruitment and I already got a highly rated Ivorian newgen in my first youth intake. I also have 3 feeder clubs that have a chance of producing American players in my system.

38/F. Checked into ER on Sunday with palpitations and weakness that I was pretty sure was linked to low hemoglobin (same thing happened in March, went to the ER where they discovered low hemoglobin was the cause and they gave me a blood transfusion which help me feel a lot better and discharged me. I've set up an appointment with my hematologist but couldn't get an appt until July.)
I was admitted due to my very low vitals and blood counts, namely:

• Hemoglobin: 7.1
• WBC: 3.6
• HR: high 30s-mid 40s
• BP: averaging 80s/high 30s, highest has been 89/50.

I've been seen by the gastro team, who wants to do an endoscopy but ultimately as an outpatient procedure because they're concerned about doing it while my WBC is low due to increased possibility of infection.
I've been seen by the cardiac team, who is going through my past records (the hospital I'm in is where I had a cardiac ablation for an arrhythmia back in 2018), but ultimately will want me to get an electrophysiology study - but whether I do it while inpatient or do as an outpatient once discharged is TBD.
They've given me some IV iron and ongoing saline drip but my numbers are not shifting.
I also had some bacteria in my urinalysis but no other symptoms, but they're giving me antibiotic IV just in case.
Basically, my case has my medical team at a loss, so thought I'd share my results and history here to see if anyone had any ideas!

Relevant history/surgeries/medications listed below.
Medical history:

• Had a modified duodenal switch surgery (also known as SIPS) in July 2017 (both bariatric but did that surgery specifically because it helped address hormonal issues like overproduction of ghrelin.) Went from 260 lbs at 5'1" to my current weight of around 110 lbs. This surgery also resulted in malabsorption, so have been on bariatric ADEK/multi and bariatric iron supplement since then.
  
• Had a 20+ year history of an eating disorder (primarily restrictive but worsened after SIPS as getting adjusted to that led to occasional regurgitation, which I started to take advantage of so symptoms turned more to restricting purging type.) Went into treatment in 2019 at a treatment center that was HAES and focused more on intuitive eating and body neutrality, which ultimately was hugely successful and I've been in true recovery since I was discharged in February 2020.
  
• Had palpitations in 2017/2018 which were later diagnosed as bigeminy PVCs. Ablated and had loop recorder inserted. No issues since until I started experiencing some palpitations again in March, which is what led me to go to ER, where they identified low hemoglobin as the issue.
  
• Have had low hemoglobin previously due to malabsorption, and had series of iron infusions in 2021.
  
• Have rheumatoid arthritis, diagnosed in fall 2019. Currently between medications (was on methotrexate but wasn't doing anything) - currently just have predinsone but I only take it when I'm having a flare. Rheum and I are exploring Rinvoq but am in the process of getting updated scans and labwork to check on RA progression before updating treatment plan.
  
• Have previously had stomach ulcers caused by NSAIDs (was negative for H Pylori at the time), but has not been an issue since winter 2013.
  

Previous surgeries/procedures:

• July 2017: SIPS / modified DS
• March 2018: Cardiac ablation for bigeminy PVCs
• Fall 2018: skin removal surgery post weight loss (abdomen and upper arms)
• Fall 2019: Emergency surgery for intrasucception
• Winter 2020: Gallbladder removal

Hello, just looking for advice on best next step. I have booked a sport class for my son in February, and when the classes started in April the sessions were initially cancelled for the first couple of weeks and then changed to a different location. I have informed the branch manager that I could not attend that new location, and requested a refund. This request as well as my follow-ups by email and WhatsApp messages were ignored (I am confident the contact details were correct since I had received prompt responses from them before that point). I have received a response from the head office admin team quite quickly, but they just forwarded my request to the local branch manager so ultimately it's still been ignored. It's now been over a month.
I have the names and addresses of the company directors based in Company House, would the next be to send them some kind of letter before going to small court claim? Could someone tell what type of letter I should send, and maybe point me out to a template?
The amount is just over a £100 and I could live without it, but it's more for the principle!

The teams' participation in throwback weekend was beyond disappointing this year. While there were a few bright spots (like Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski), about only 50% of the teams made a genuine effort to participate, and about 75% of the teams that did made half-hearted, corporatized efforts (for example, Truex and Bell).
For throwback weekend to really rev up the fans and give them something to look forward to, there should be a fan vote for the best throwback scheme with prizes for the teams and sponsors.
Prizes for the team could include money (say, $500k) or an automatic qualifying spot in the All-Star race (maybe even the pole position if we want to get really crazy).
For the sponsor, the prize could be an extended feature the during the race broadcast, a featured on site exhibit at the track, or the naming rights for the throwback race or another race.
Thoughts?

I know there’s not a one-size-fits-all situation, but what are some evidence-based practices that treat BED AND lose weight? I’m asking because I’m scared that I’ll never recover.
I’ve tried a myriad of medications under the supervision of a primary care physician and psychiatrist, regular therapy, and meeting with a dietitian. My psychiatrist said he can give me all of the amphetamines in the world but cognitive behavioral therapy is the best way to overcome binge eating disorder.
But the thing is, a lot of the therapists and dietitians I go to seem to be against weight loss and don’t support my goals. They showed me random infographics and didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know. It just felt like a waste of time to see them because I could get the same information by scrolling on instagram. And the funny thing is, that most of these gurus are thin white women. I’m sure they can have their struggles, but it’s super easy to promote just trusting your body and letting it be when you’re already conventionally attractive. For people like me, a poc girl on the chubby side, I can’t accept that. I’m sorry. I refuse to believe that this is it, that this is the way I’ll be forever.
It just sucks having to deal with two extremes; people who say that weight loss is evil and impossible and people who say I need to do keto and never eat sugar and flour again if I want to recover. You’re bugging if you think I’ll ever cut our carbs completely. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure carbs serve a necessary function and life without them would just be miserable. But at the same time, what’s so bad about wanting to lose weight? Why is that considered wrong by some people?
I agree that we’re all worthy and should be given respect despite our weight. No one should ever be bullied for their weight, because it’s not easy to lose weight. However, in my opinion, telling people that they’ll never be able to lose weight so they might as well give up is a terrible way to go about it.
Im lucky to finally work with a therapist that supports my weight loss goals, but a majority of them do not. I guess I need to keep seeing her and be patient, but it’s hard. I wish there were more practitioners who approached things in a balanced way.
Maybe I should take one for the team and become said practitioner? I do want to pursue a career in health care, and I’m torn between being a doctor, a PA, or a dietitian. If I become a doctor, I’d love to work in endocrinology and weight loss.
Any thoughts on my post? If you disagree with me or have a different view point, that’s welcome as long as you’re respectful about it. I’m always open to learning and having a growth mindset, just please don’t be rude. I’m a person with feelings, not just a name on the screen.

This past season had fans with a lot of opinions of returnees playing the game with new players. I think it's a hard call to make as while the returnees added drama they certainly also took over the show.
I think I can solve the problem.
If I had 10 minutes with Big Brother Canada producers I would pitch the following:
Leave big brother for newbies only.
And
Add a second show. Not sure of a name for it but here's my concept.
6 teams of 4.
Each team is comprised of 4 returnee players from the same season.
They will play a very shortened version of the game that is just under 4 weeks long. 12 episodes.
First 3 weeks: 1 team winning HOH, them nominating 2 teams. All teams playing for the Veto 2 teams on the block competing to stay in the game.
4th Week: 3 teams remain, they play a 3 part competition to determine the winning team that splits $60,000 in prize money.
This new show enables Big Brother Canada to capitalize on the players we want to see more of, while also letting us watch new players navigate the original game of big brother.
The returnees only have to spend 28 days in the house, so they might be more likely to do it. And after season 1 you could even bring in teams from other countries.

Following up on this post, I'd like you guys to share some of your insights as to what you've seen going on on the crypto space, I'll start:

Render: a network to distribute GPU power to people who wanted to use, paying up in Render to those who provided and completed the task.
In essence they have so little network usage and distributed only the computing power to a few people that most just ended up with their PCs online for nothing earning nothing.
Their marketing team seems to be on fire tho, Lots of CTs, VCs and the casual fake news about partnership with apple.
HEX (Richard Heart ) Dude was the whole marketing team, he selectively chose which success he had in life out of a thousand swings to sell how good he was at predicting the market. He had a good way of selling people stuff, because His followers were die hard for that token. In the end he was just selling his bags along the way.

Over a century ago, a British archeologist named Howard Carter began excavations in the unforgiving Egyptian Desert with the hopes of discovering something; something that remained a mystery for many centuries: the 3400-year-old tomb of an ancient king, Tutankhamun.
The site Carter chose for this excavation project was the Valley of the Kings, which was a burial place of ancient kings for many centuries. Before Carter, several archeologists carried out excavations in the Valley. And in the process, discovered several tombs and artifacts.
But archeologists weren't the only ones the Valley attracted. For generations, the Valley was raided by thieves, who exploited it in every way possible. So much so that when Carter arrived at the site with his men in 1917, they found themselves standing atop 30-foot piles of debris stones.
And it's for the same reason why many archeologists questioned Carter's sanity when news of his excavation reached them. Without exception, all of them labelled the Valley a heavily exhausted Site.
But Carter would listen to no one.
He gathered all the resources, and manpower, and for the next five years, went all in into the excavations with the support of his rich patron George Herbert, 5th Earl of Carnarvon.
Those five years were a rough period for the passionate archeologist because up until the end of it, he wouldn't discover anything worthwhile to justify the enormous money being spent.
At one point Carnarvon lost all his hope and called Carter to inform him about the partnership break. But Carter was somehow able to talk Carnarvon out of his decision. He pointed out how some artifacts discovered by another archeologist nearby had Tutankhamun's name inscribed on them. And that Tut must be lying somewhere underneath that place waiting to be found.
Finally, the day arrived in November 1922.
After back-breaking labor, nasty heartbreaks, and burning ₹210+ crores, it happened. A boy carrying water slipped and fell over what at first seemed like a stone. It was, of course, a stone, except it was the first stone step of the flight of stairs to the tomb.
In the weeks that followed, the stairs kept spiraling downwards reaching a distance of 26 ft. At the end of the final step, one of the workers' picks clanked against a limestone wall. When his eyes recalibrated to the low light of the chamber, after a brief blurriness at the candlelight, he witnessed the softly illuminated objects gradually coming to life—objects that last saw light over 3400 years ago. Carnarvon asked from behind, "Can you see anything?" Almost breathless, Carter answered, "Yes… wonderful things!"
At last, the team discovered the Tomb of the 19-year-old Boy King Tutankhamun. To date, it's the most intact tomb of a pharaoh to be ever discovered.
In the years leading up to the opening of Tut's Coffin in 1925, over 5398 objects were found in the chambers of the tomb, including furniture, golden jewels, figurines, musical instruments, board games, war weapons, clothes, vessels, carts, and a number of other things that Tut would need in the afterlife. Almost every object inside the tomb was either made of Gold or covered with it.
Tut's mummy lay inside three layers of coffins, with the innermost one made entirely of solid Gold and the rest wooden. Altogether, the total value of the entire collection in the tomb is estimated to be around $27 million in today's money.
Now, it's been a century since Carter opened that Tomb, but still, there's been no discovery in archeology that has matched its magnitude. Nothing ever has remotely come close to that.
Doesn't this story sound ridiculous to you in a way? How delusional someone should be to continue digging for five straight years despite seeing no evidence of progress?
On top of it all, Carter or nobody knew whether the Valley of Kings was exactly where Tut's tomb was located. They just went with their hunch. Five whole years and hundreds of crores would have been for nothing if the hunch turned out to be wrong. Carter knew this. But still, he took that leap of faith and persevered.
If Carter's mental strength and confidence are one thing, the faith Carnarvon had in Carter is everything. I couldn't understand the logic behind Carnovan's decision. Why would someone in their right mind bet a ridiculous amount of money on something that was just a theory with little to no evidence? What if Tut was never buried in the valley? Is it because Carter was a better salesman or was it Carnorvan's conviction that had him pouring money regardless? We know not.
But it's their combined belief, intuition, and effort that made this ultimate discovery possible.
It's easy to get discouraged when you don't see the results early on. But despite that, if you trust your guts, believe in your skills, and keep putting in the work.. one day you will find your own version of Tut's treasures.
So keep digging. For if you never dig, you will never know.
