My wife and I have picked a resort for June 2025. Secret’s Akumal. We are wanting a Jr. swim out suite as we had one for one night at Secrets Cap Cana. We love everything we’ve read and watched about the resort, especially the snorkeling with the turtles. My only concern with booking a swim out room is not having drink, waiter service in the swim out pool. I know it’s possible to just have room service delivered to the room and set up on the patio. So I think the only time we’d use the swim out pool is at night after dinner.

So this morning I learned that a lot of these animal shelters are like smaller versions of homeless shelters that claim to be "non profit" yet have a lot of people on payroll raking in the dough. Here is an example of a homeless nonprofit pulling that crap. I'd like to show you how we can expose them.
In my town there was a charity that got a $25 million dollar grant from the county.
All charities are required to make their financials publicly available. You can search the IRS site for their latest returns, some sites put them in an easier to read format like this.
Looking at the above link, we can see the top people and what they get paid, nearly $1m a year in salaries. What's interesting is the CEO. Let's look at his political donations.
In the first link to the article I posted, it talks about County supervisor Joe Simitian pitching this grant. If we look up CEO Bruce Ives, and Recipient Joe Simitian, we get a fairly comprehensive list of donations from Bruce to Joe.
This is what I'm proposing. Along with the other information that this sub collects, we need to find these feedback loops of grants to 501c's > 501c officer donations > politicians that authorized the grants.
While the above is human homeless shelter, I have a sneaking suspicion we'll find the same with "Rescues" In the very least, if a rescue is operating as a 501, we can rattle their cages a bit and demand they provide their tax returns.

While digging this info out for 1 or 2 towns might not garner much interest from the media, if we dug up enough of it happening around the country, it adds up.

I’m at a loss and have been on SA hotlines all day searching for what I should do here so wanted to crowdsource some feedback in case other people know how I feel and have good advice. I started dating this guy when we were in high school (I was 14, he was 19) and got locked into a dynamic I wish I could’ve left sooner. Today, I would identify it as grooming and abusive. He took advantage of my loneliness, my budding sexuality, and my love for him for close to five years. He was manipulative, he used his mental health crises as a way to control me. He would say I was the “only one who understands” him and say he’d kill himself if our relationship ended. At the time I felt filthy and ashamed, but looking back I realize that I was trying to blame myself for a situation I didn’t want to be in. I finally was able to pull away completely while I was in college and I never looked back.
Over the years, I’ve mostly not thought of him but I get these weird little jump-scares in my brain of memories of things that happened when I was with him. It briefly got worse when I moved in with my current (very supportive, loving, and age-appropriate) partner. But on the whole, my traumatized brain can’t actively remember much of our relationship, and what I do remember, I try my best not to think about.
I am now almost 30. It’s been 10 years since I’ve had any contact with him and out of the blue, he messaged me on Facebook. It’s very brief and non-specific which is part of what freaks me out about it. Basically what he said is “hi it’s (HIS NAME). I’m not trying to reconnect or be friends again. I need to talk to you about something. Please get back to me if you’re willing.”
I’ve been spinning out about what to do about this. In an ideal world, I never speak to, see, or hear from him again. My first instinct is to block and delete, but he is not a well person and had harassed me in the past. After speaking to the RAINN hotline, I’m thinking maybe I should just be tracking and noting what he’s saying to me so if I need a protection order, I have receipts.
My second thought is what could he possibly NEED to tell me that he couldn’t open with. I wondered if it could be sexual health-related, but I’ve been tested multiple times in the decade since him so even if “I had chlamydia the whole time” is what he has to say to me, that’s his problem, not mine.
I now feel terrified that maybe he has some collateral or is trying to blackmail me. Though I don’t remember much of the relationship, I do remember sending him nudes on Snapchat which maybe he saved. Like I said, it was a coercive dynamic and I’m not proud of it. A big part of the reason I didn’t report at the time is I read somewhere that I would be liable for distributing underage porn even though the images were of me and I was the victim in question. Or did he film us having sex without me knowing and post it somewhere, something like that.
He struggled with substance abuse and mental health issues the whole time I knew him. He was even briefly hospitalized for it. So it crossed my mind that maybe he’s reaching out during a stable time to “make amends,” either through a program or by himself.
What I really want is to give him a piece of my mind. It was never my intention to open a door to him or speak to him again. But now that he’s invited himself in, I want to ask him who the hell he thinks he is reaching out to me. I want to forget I ever met him, but I want him to remember what he did to me every day and feel sorry for it. I want him to know that I don’t just think of him as my ex, but as my rapist and that if he ever contacts me again, I’m calling the police (which is what RAINN suggested I do).
But I don’t know what I should do to be healthy and safe while moving forward. My current partner doesn’t know about this, I’ve only mentioned it in the abstract in the past and he never pushed me to say more. I want to tell him but I still feel so much shame about it and still secretly fear that this is all my fault and makes me unlovable.
I have an appointment with my therapist this weekend and best believe this will be the whole hour this week. But I’m looking for any thoughts from others who don’t live in my head on what you’d do if you were me. How would you go about disclosing this whole situation to your partner? Would you tell family and friends? If anyone on here has been a victim of revenge porn (especially if you were underage) and is willing to share your experiences, I’d love to hear from you. Okay, so I'm currently living with my sister because I lost my job 5 months ago and lost everything due to stupid decisions and an accident, I wasn't able to find a job for at that time so I had to move in with her, she was the only in my family that didn't desert me.
When we were kids my mother preferred me over her and I was always the golden child while my sister was the scapegoat, long story short she treated her very badly. Now that my sister has control over me I have notice that she tries to pigeonhole me stating that I'm exactly like my mother, a cold hearted person that doesn't understand others and is very arrogant and proud. Now, I have spoken with many people and they told me I'm nothing like my mother but I get confused because I lost my self confidence so I overthink everything and I cannot stop feeling like I'm walking in eggshells because my sister already told me she wants me out of the house but cannot simply let me on the streets, so I feel like I'm bothering her. Is like I'm living with my mother but this time I'm the scapegoat.
My mother and I don't get along and I think my sister tries to pretend that she is helping me to teach my mother a lesson, I feel like my sister is not doing it heartily or for a good reason. Filed my taxes in February jointly with my wife. She applied for an ITIN when applying. Do we need to send this number to the IRS? We were told by an IRS member we only needed to send this onto Oregon state, as the Federal return was filed with the ITIN application and therefor would be automatically updated.
We received her ITIN and sent the documentation onto Oregon State. Looking online we still have no response on the Refund request (https://sa.www4.irs.gov/wmshared\_secrets), but the status does say the tax return has been received. More details below:

• Moved from London to Oregon in Jan 2023
• I am here working for a company on my O1 Visa
• My wife cannot work due to her visa type (O3)
• We have a property in London, which we declared the rent / income
  • The Property was the only UK-based income
  • We declared our expenses, including mortgage figures and maintenance

Dans les pics escarpés des montagnes, où les sommets défient le ciel, un groupe d'amis passionnés d'escalade avait trouvé son terrain de jeu. Ils se nommaient eux-mêmes les Aigles du Rocher, pour leur témérité et leur habileté à conquérir les falaises les plus imposantes. Un jour, guidés par leur insatiable désir d'aventure, ils se lancèrent dans l'ascension d'une montagne éloignée et peu explorée.
La journée débuta sous les auspices d'un ciel clair et d'un soleil radieux, mais plus ils grimpaient, plus le temps se gâtait. Des nuages sombres s'amoncelaient rapidement, transformant l'atmosphère en un halo lugubre. Ignorant les signes de l'orage qui approchait, ils continuèrent leur ascension, poussés par l'excitation de l'inconnu.
Alors qu'ils s'élevaient toujours plus haut, la visibilité se réduisit à néant. Les rochers devinrent glissants et dangereux, mais l'esprit d'équipe les maintenait unis. Cependant, à mesure qu'ils progressaient, une tension sourde s'installa parmi eux, comme si quelque chose d'invisible les observait.
Soudain, dans l'épaisse brume, ils distinguèrent une silhouette solitaire, postée sur une corniche à quelques mètres au-dessus. La figure était immobile, mais sa présence les perturba profondément. Seuls dans cet endroit reculé, ils décidèrent de l'approcher avec prudence.
L'homme, aux traits effacés par le temps et la solitude, les accueillit avec un sourire énigmatique. Il prétendit être un ermite, vivant en ermite dans ces montagnes depuis des décennies. Ses paroles étaient empreintes de sagesse, mais ses yeux brillaient d'une lueur inquiétante.
Au début, les Aigles du Rocher furent intrigués par l'ermite et son mode de vie austère, mais bientôt des doutes commencèrent à s'insinuer dans leur esprit. Ils remarquèrent des indices subtils, des regards furtifs échangés entre eux, des murmures à peine audibles dans le vent. Quelque chose n'allait pas.
La nuit tomba rapidement, enveloppant la montagne d'un manteau d'obscurité. Alors qu'ils s'apprêtaient à installer leur campement, l'un des membres du groupe disparut mystérieusement. Des recherches désespérées furent entreprises, mais aucun signe de leur ami ne fut trouvé.
La paranoïa s'installa parmi les Aigles du Rocher. Ils commencèrent à soupçonner l'ermite, convaincus qu'il cachait des secrets sinistres. Mais avant qu'ils ne puissent prendre des mesures, un piège se referma sur eux. Des rochers dévalèrent des falaises, les séparant les uns des autres, les isolant dans les ténèbres.
Pendant des heures, ils luttèrent pour retrouver leur chemin dans le labyrinthe de roches. La tempête faisait rage autour d'eux, amplifiant leur désespoir et leur terreur. Et alors qu'ils étaient au bord de l'effondrement, ils entendirent un rire sinistre résonner dans les montagnes.
L'ermite réapparut soudain, une lueur malsaine illuminant son visage. Il avoua avoir manipulé leur voyage depuis le début, attirant les Aigles du Rocher dans son domaine pour assouvir ses sombres desseins. Leurs cris de rage et de peur se perdirent dans le tumulte de la tempête, alors qu'ils étaient emportés par les abysses de la montagne, jamais plus revus.

At these RR crossings. Been sitting at Rittiman just before 78 and this damned train keeps going back and forth at a walking pace. Was going to be 15 minutes early to a client appt and now I’m about 20 minutes late.
So 35 minutes in. Wondering how much longer this can go on? Train isn’t moving. Can’t get out as I’m locked in.
This is madness. Converse/SA should post traffic signs further up the road that warn people a train is going to block the road for a God Damned hour and a half.
This is becoming g some weird mental thing where should I stay or should ai go except I can’t get out and if I could, would the train then clear out 5 minutes later.
Anyone got any records of what the longest amount of time they were stuck in this dragged out?
Do people know about this whe. They buy homes over here? Or are they unpleasantly surprised? What are the ‘secret’ routes?

I ended things with this girl. The reason I did it was because i felt na ginagawa ako na backburner ( i think? idk if thats the right term sryy hahaha) I felt na she would be very malambing and stuff tapos bigla nlng wala. Dagdag pa yung nalaman ko na may gusto pa sya na iba( tapos dalawa pa hahahha). so ayun, i ended it dahil i was hurt na.
Akala ko i would be okay when i ended things with her, But there was this thought in my mind na maybe i did a mistake. Like im in too deep na. I gave my heart out na.
But heres the painful part. Its seems na she found someone new agad. And worse of all, it seems na shes with my friend. Idk what to feel tbh. I felt hurt. I felt na ang insignificant ko sa buhay nya. But ig i have no right to react nmn dahil i was the one who ended things with her. Its just sad and painful. siguro thats life nga.

The effectiveness of South Australian’s controversial new mobile phone cameras have been thrown into doubt, amid claims police will need to personally check every potential new fine for accuracy. A cache of official documents, released under freedom of information laws shows motorists were caught during a secret trial of the camera last year.
But as the state government prepares to formally roll out the technology, a Trial Evaluation Summary obtained by 7NEWS has revealed “inconsistencies” with the results. The report said the occurrence of image quality issues was concerning, and would likely raise doubt on the overall integrity and operation of the system. The trial was conducted between April 1 to April 28 last year, at a trial site along South Rd at Thebarton.
During the trial period, data inconsistencies were also detected which were believed to be related to accurately detecting car speed for slow moving and accelerating or decelerating cars. “This clearly indicates that extensive testing/verification will need to be performed prior to going live,” the report stated.
“The lack of vehicle detection details and the lack of detailed log files make it virtually impossible to determine the frequency of missing vehicle detections or false negative incidents.” However, a spokesman for SA Police said “instances of false detections are extremely low”. “When the system is live, a SAPOL officer will view the images prior to an expiation notice being issued,” the spokesman said. SA Police said the concerns for false detections will be addressed during the formation testing phase, which will also lessen expiations notices being issued incorrectly. “All vehicles that pass through the cameras will be tested by the AI, and only those determined as distracted will be processed by SAPOL for further adjudication,” the spokesman said. “Images of compliant drivers are immediately discarded by the system.”
