Hi everyone! I’m finally getting started on my weight loss journey. I’m 5’2, F27, SW: 197, SAHM
Back in March I weighed 213 and as the weeks went by I noticed my face getting thinner but didn’t think much of it. I suffer from depression (comes and goes) and it was pretty bad during that time through April. I had a doctor’s appointment in May where I weighed 197lbs. Since then, I’ve decided that losing 15lbs was pretty lucky and have since decided to lose more weight in a healthier way. I also have been diagnosed with nonalcoholic fatty liver, so that’s another reason why I’ve decided to get healthy.
Ive already started eating less and adding veggies to all meals and some 30 minute cardio in the mornings.
I’m here to ask, mainly, if 30 minutes of cardio is enough to tone my body? I know I’ll probably end up with some loose skin, but I’ve been losing weight quickly and I’m starting to worry that 30 minutes isn’t enough.
Also, is anyone of similar height and weight? I’ll be talking to a dietician soon but would like to know how you went about your weight loss journey.
Lastly, what is the best free app to count calories?

At least to start. I'm not very interested at all in composition, especially not writing. Speaking...I mean, if I come across local immigrants who really don't wanna speak English, I might punish them with my terrible accent and poor grasp of on-the-fly Russian! But it's mostly reading I want to get really good at, ASAP, and maybe listening/watching some stuff.
My usual method for learning a language is to let Pimsleur do its thing for a month or three, then start watching and listening well-translated material I've enjoyed before in a language I'm comfortable with. End of the year, I'm decently comfortable in the language, and I know how much effort I want to put into it in the future. But I always start with the goal of ideally ending up at a quasi-native level of fluency. In Russian, I just want to be able to consume, and I want to really fast-track that. So, any advice on how to approach this? Maybe a nice series of graded readers?

Hi everyone!
My wife and I are from Bosnia and Herzegovina and are going to Japan in November for two weeks and want to check if you have any tips for our itinerary. It's our first time in Japan and we wanted to check out Tokyo and Kyoto mainly, but also make a stop in Takayama, Nara, Osaka and find a nice traditional ryokan. We will be making a round trip to Tokyo so we are considering staying at two different areas (ex. Shinjuku and Ueno).
As far as our interests go, we are big foodies and love anime/manga. We also usually tend to skip touristy places (ex. we visited Tuscany, but didn't go to Florence or Pisa), but for Japan it was a little hard to leave any of the touristy spots of the list because they look interesting :(, so we're wondering if any of the places are skippable. Thank you for any feedback! :)
Day 1: - Arriving at Narita airport early around 8-9AM. We will probably be looking to stay at Shinjuku or any western part of Tokyo so our hotel is close by to the attractions. - After leaving our bags at the hotel we would go spend time around Shibuya crossing, mostly checking out shops like Mugiwara, Pokemon center, Torch torch, Jump shop, Tower records, GBL. - We taught about checking out Shibuya sky during sunset, but we're not too interested in it, so would love to hear if it's worth it - At night probably go check out some izakayas and bars in Shinjuku or Shibuya
Day 2:

• Morning for Yoyogi park and Meiji shrine
• Maybe check out mipig cafe in Harajuku. We know there are also other spots like in Osaka or Kyoto, so we'll see when we would like to go
• Shimokitazawa: go to Shiro-Hige's cream puff factory and walk around, maybe walk in some cheap vintage stores
• Nakano broadway and JOJO bar (if anyone has info about the JOJO bar please share, we heard you need reservation and it's not always open and it's our main reason for going to Nakano)

Day 3:

• Kamakura day trip

Day 4:

• Have the hotel send our luggage to Kyoto while we go to other places for a couple of days (I hope that the luggage forwarding service works like this :D)
• Reservation at Kokuya Shibu Onsen ryokan. Probably go by train early and see the snow monkey park until it's time for check-in. Spend the night in the ryokan and tomorrow go to Takayama.

Day 5 and 6:

• Takayama and one daytrip to Shirakawa-go. Is it easier to check out Shirakawa-go when we are arriving from Nagano, or to go straight to Takayama and go by bus the next morning?

Day 7:

• Kyoto arrival. Probably spend time around the Nishiki market area and go see Kiyomizu-dera. Not gonna be a packed day here, just strolling around and seeing what's interesting. Would love to just get a beer and site by the river

Day 8:

• Arashiyama. Get up really early to beat the crowds at the bamboo forest.
• After that take a stroll to Gioji, Adashino Nenbutsuji and Otagi Nenbutsuji temples
• Come back and maybe od Tenryu-ji and go to monkey park
• When going back home maybe stop at Kinkaku-ji, but honestly I don't see the hype around it. Maybe you can share your thoughts

Day 9:

• Wake up early and go to Fushimi Inari
• After go to Philosopher's path and maybe check out some temples that are close by, but mainly just chill and walk around areas we haven't seen
• We also wanted to rent kimonos and maybe hire a photographer to take pictures of us, but we might need another day in Kyoto for that. If anyone has any experience let us know

Day 10:

• Send luggage to Tokyo
• Go to Nara and spend the day there and then go to Osaka to check-in to the hotel
• Go out in Osaka

Day 11:

• Osaka. Nothing in particular planned. Just walk around and see the city. Honestly, when we were planning Osaka didn't seem that interesting so that's why we are spending so little time here.

Day 12:

• Return to Tokyo. Check-in to hotel in Ueno.
• Maybe go to Ikebukuro for some shopping.
• For this night and the next two night we didn't plan a night out, but probably just go to where we feel like, maybe Roppongi, Ebisu, Shinjuku or Ginza

Day 13:

• Tsukiji outer market
• Ginza - walk around and check out some shops like uniqlo and muji
• Akihabara

Day 14:

• Asakusa - mainly around the Kaminarimon. Maybe go to the samurai ninja museum
• Kappabashi - knife and kitchenware shopping :D
• Jimbocho - book shopping :D

Day 15:

• Free day. Can be reserved for Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Takayama or a daytrip. Any suggestions?

I have read several posts on here, where people are enquiring whether they can go abroad for one week if on PIP or LCWRA without doubt being cast over how their disablity effects them and/or the dwp using it against them at a review.
I have seen some replies stating that one week is or isnt (i cant remember) over the 50% rule based on one year, i am confused by this, could someone please explain in greater detail?
I always understood it as calculating bad and better days over a week. I am guessing if you have fluctuating health conditions, is this where its calculated over one year?
Also, do the bad and better days apply to lcwra too or is it you either can or cant do something and not % like PIP? (As its work related).

A little context: I (24F) am taking online courses to finish my BA in sociology. I just got my AA last year and wanted to keep going with school. Having graduated with a 4.0, I wanted to keep this up with my BA program because I have dreams of getting my MA and PhD one day, but I know it’s harder for those with online degrees to stand out. This is why I emphasize my GPA.
Anyway, I’m enrolled in my 5th and 6th classes right now at the college. It’s only the third week of summer semester and I just finished writing my topic proposal for my scaffold research project for one of my classes. I spent 3 solid days researching/writing for the majority of the day because I was too busy this week with other homework/papers. I submitted it Sunday night before it was due, and I was surprised today to find out I got a 0. All my instructor commented was “OP, did you use this paper in another class?”
I feel terrible. The professor gave us very little direction on the rubric, so I used my experience of writing a topic proposal in another class to do so. However, NONE of the information in this paper was akin to any other paper I’ve written before. This is a HUMS disabilities class, and I’ve never before taken a course like this. I emailed her, and I assured her I take this seriously and that I didn’t reuse an old paper. I even offered to share my notes with her and the few research papers I have written before.
I have dreams of one day being a professor and researcher myself. I take academic integrity seriously. My Turnitin report was only 7%, flagging only common phrases. Everything else was original, and my sources were properly cited in-text with a perfect APA reference list. I asked her to please share what makes her believe I was academically dishonest. No response yet.
I’m at a loss here and I am so worried that I’m not going to be able to get my grade back. I had a 100 in the class before this and now i have an F. The worst part is that it’s too late to withdraw, and even if I did, my scholarship money paid for this class. I would be at a loss.
So far there are no formal charges yet. Should I expect her to file them? Should I talk to someone else, depending on what she says? Even if she dismisses this and somehow rectifies my grade, I don’t even know how to move forward with this class considering there are 5 more writing assignments part of this research project, as I feel like I’d just be accused again by her.
What should I do at this point?

I don’t even know where to begin. 26F. I have had a lot go on in my life (not to short anyone else, because life is screwed). I’m just going to tell my story because I don’t know what else to do. As I’m telling this story please keep in mind, I don’t have all of the information and I’ve been kind of surviving up until this point. When I was 3-8 months old my father packed me and the dog up, and left my mother without telling her while she was at work back in 1997(Florida to Pennsylvania). having no idea because I was an infant, going in to toddler my dad loved the crap out of me. I felt safe, and cared for. My dad ended up sending me to a catholic school for 1st- 5th. started growing and realized that I have a difficultly keeping concentrated, was way friendler than everyone. @ 9 years old he had me speak to my mother for the first time and all she said was mean shit about him and I cried and hung up.
I had noticed my dad started to grow aggravated with me, and would say some down right mean shit. Not let me have my own personality, Embarrassed me by writing mean shit about what I did wrong on sticky notes and would tell me to keep in on my shirt all day at school. Back me into corners like he was a big bully if I didn’t do things right/his way. He through a birthday party for me when I was 11 and then was like “look at how nobody showed up” when he was most likely the reason they didn’t. Before sixth grade started, he moved us back down to Florida. So from catholic school to public. I noticed bigger changes in him and it was a complete 180 for me, going from a religious school to a public. It was like there was no longer the happiness in him and he would pick on me and bully me, when I started going to public schools I was bullied as well there. I would come home from school crying and he stated “I’ll give you a reason to cry”. Would be very physically abusive. Would even threaten to send me to my mothers which I was scared of because of the mean shit she said when I was 9. He sent me to another girls mom to learn about “women things”- literally just how to shave my f**** legs. I eventually went to the schools therapist in 6th grade and tried to tell them what was going on without getting my dad in trouble or him hearing about it and doing something worse, that didn’t happen. I guess I blacked out most of my memory’s about things because of the way I needed to cope but I remember writing him letters and begging him to talk to me because he started just not speaking to me at all, would leave me at home while he worked and told me to lock the doors and hide. I eventually tried to disconnect from it all in my head to go with the motions. Eventually before 8th grade started we moved up to Maryland and moved in with my cousins because he had claimed he lost a lot of money in Florida( in recent years he told me the school was trying to get him charged for the things I said back then to the therapist.) we became more distant because he wasn’t very friendly and would hide in the basement. Moved into my god parents house because eventually he had enough issues with my cousins he didn’t want to be “there problem” anymore. We became more distant as he would just hide in there basement as well, I’d go down there just to talk with him and he’d just be this mean person I didn’t know anymore. Still being a very emotionally abusive person. I got arrested 3 months before graduation because I had weed and cigarettes at school.
When I was 18 I moved into my 2nd boyfriend’s house. Not a good idea looking back at it because it was totally a trap house and I had no clue what I was doing there.(drugs) that’s what I was doing. He had no clue & didn’t care to notice. A lot of co-dependence was there because I stayed there for 4 years.
In 2018 (I was 18 at this point) he was going delirious for about 4-5days and would tell me stuff like take my stuff, I’m going to die ect. Wouldn’t let me take him to the hospital, just wanted to die, thank god my god mother was there when he collapsed and had a ambulance come and get him, he went into a diabetic coma it lasted for 1.5 months or so, he came out of it and basically told me he should’ve died and that he wanted to.
That made things worse mentally for me, I did a lot of fucked up things in the 4 years I was with the boy I was doing drugs with, he also was very physically abusing, as so was I at this point. We broke up and I did everything I could not to go back to living with my father who ended up with enough money to buy a place in my name. I ended up living there for a while and nothing good came from it.
A lot of drinking and boyfriends and dumb shit happened and I was completely out of it until I got a DWI in late 2019. Really woke me up. I started wanting better for myself, knowing I could just didn’t know how. I got into YET ANOTHER RELATIONSHIP, and thought it was good for me, two years in we decided we were going to buy a home (23 years old at this point) we bought it and a lot was wrong with the house and clearly the boy I bought it with because he was into a really odd kink, had girls in his phone, and would not introduce me to his female friends. On top of that he did not doing ANYTHING to help me fix the home. A year into owning the home I broke up with him and lost my job. I was depressed for 7-8 months, got another job and about 1.5 years after the break up someone came up to me and asked me on a date. (I still lived with my ex in the house we own). (I was completely honest with him and up front about everything.)
He has shown me grace, kindness, and compassion. He had shown me a whole new perspective in life. He also had gone through a really traumatic past. Starting of the relationship was rough, I was feral and he gets defensive really easy. We have stuck this thing out and I am 7 months in therapy and he just had his first session in years today. I would like to consider this success. I just changed therapist because the one I had been going to wasn’t as good as I would’ve liked them to be. We are now 1.5 years in, and I’m still trying to figure myself out and currently won’t hear from the new therapist until the 21st of may. I’m struggling mentally but not half as bad as I used to. I guess I’m just looking for new perspectives and some positive words at this point. My boyfriend and I are on opposite schedules for the next 2.5 months and I can tell I’m still very co-dependent, in my head I’m hoping his new therapist doesn’t tell him we are not right for each other. I’m so full of stress and trauma it’s crazy. I don’t even know who I am or if I fully feel happy in any situation.

Hi, I am a new player and just started my account a week ago. My main angel currently is Gaia at 4 star awakening and level 180. I also have SSR+ angels Loki, Hera and Chaos.
I read up on the angel tierlist and realised that I should get a main SSR+ DPS angel to focus on in order to build my team and climb up the ranks. None of the 3 I have currently are optimal as the 1st SSR+ angel.
Based on what I see, Ares, Freyja, Ember dragon and Chang er would be top picks. However, currently from the summon pools I would only be able to get Ares from wish and Chang er from the limited summons. I currently have 193 Blue scrolls and 100 red scrolls.
I also saw people recommending to wait till the anniversary event to use the blue and red scrolls for better returns. However it is a month away.
Question is should I try to get an Ares or Chang er first to build as my main angel instead of waiting? If I wait I would not have a SSR+ to build for the time being. Also are there any other SSR+ angels good for the DPS main besides the ones mentioned? I am not sure which of the 4 would be better as well to be picked as the 1st angel.
Any advice would be appreciated please!

Here is a TRUE Haunted House Story that a gentleman by the name of “Kenneth” emailed to me last week that I am currently working on to narrate. This is one creepy story. 😬 I hope you enjoy. 🫶

I’ve been living in a house that is very haunted for the better part of 53 years. I guess you can say that, I grew up here. And lived here my entire life.
And I’ve made a happy home for my wife and daughter here as well. At least we try to make this a happy home. We’ve experienced things that are so bizarre you’d almost think that we were crazy for even talking about them.
Nevermind the things I’ve heard and seen in this house while growing up.
While I would love to talk about everything that has happened here, I would like to tell you about how it all started for me when I was seven years old. It's actually the very first incident that I encountered while living here.
The house was built in 1875. It’s been remodeled throughout the years to keep up with modern times, but it still rests on the very foundation it was built on.
This house… as I’m writing this, I can hear footsteps creaking above me on the second floor. This is an all day thing. But we’ve learned to live with it. While growing up here, and being the only child, my parents already knew about the house being haunted. But they tried sheltering me from it. Meaning, if I heard something strange, my father or mother would say something to the likes of…
“Oh honey, those damn pipes again. We need to call the plumber.”
Or if there were footsteps creaking on the floor boards they would blame the flooring for being very old. I would hear scratching all throughout the walls and ceilings. All sorts of strange and bizarre sounds.
But this incident, this day, changed everything. And I remember this day, or rather night, as if it happened yesterday.
It was around 11:00 at night. It was a school night. And I was asleep. But something woke me up. I heard a voice whisper in my right right ear…
“We can’t let them get away.”
My eyes slowly opened up and I laid there for a moment. I called out for both my mother and father and looked over at my bedroom door but it was shut. I flipped over to my side and fell back asleep.
I heard this voice loud and clear. I know I did. But I think my brain was telling me to ignore it. Well, that was just the beginning of it. Because a few moments later it decided to really stir things up with me…
“Boy… HELP THEM THEY’RE BURNING ALIVE!”
I jumped out of bed so rapidly and even peed myself as I ran to my parents bedroom. My parents both looked at each other and then looked at me like they knew something but didn’t want to tell me. They gave me the old mumbo jumbo and told me that I was having a bad dream. My mother got out of bed. Got me fresh pajamas and socks while I cleaned myself up.
Peeing yourself at seven years old isn’t fun. Especially when it’s a raspy old scary voice shouting that someone’s burning alive in your bedroom while you’re sleeping.
My mother asked if I wanted to sleep with her and my father in their bed after that. You bet your ass I did. I hopped in that bed quicker than a fox chasing a rabbit. I was a small boy for seven. And both of my parents were average sized too, so, I fit right in there.
Alright… Here is where it gets very, very scary. If this doesn’t scare the socks off of you I don’t know what will. And before I continue, the voice that I heard? We think it’s the original owner of the house. Without giving away too much information about my home, the very first owner of this home…
He was an evil man…
We’ve heard stories about him torturing animals, killing them, and then taxiderming them, scattering them all throughout the house like his own little museum of horror.
Throughout the years I would experience more voices, more scratching on the walls and ceilings. Eventually my parents wound up telling me that the house was haunted by a creepy man with an evil past. And we lived with it. We were never physically harmed by it. It was more of a nuisance than anything.
That all changed on the night I brought my wife home to begin a life here with me.
We’re high school sweethearts. So, she knows about this place. She stayed here overnight plenty of times before we got married. But on the night she moved in, it wasn’t happy at all.
I’ll never forget the hour and minute. It was 2:27 in the morning. We were both asleep. My wife woke up first because she felt something tugging on her arm. She then woke me up and told me what she felt. This was the first time in all the years anyone has ever been physically touched by this spirit. This had never happened before so it was quite a shock to me.
And after being awake for about a few minutes or so, our bedroom door slammed shut! Our blanket was pulled away from us and thrown across the room. And we heard heavy footsteps as if someone was walking across the roof!
It was as if the house was coming to life.
In all my years of living here, I have never seen this much activity. Yet alone in one single night.
After the blanket got pulled away from us and thrown across the room things finally seemed to calm down. And the entire house was ominously quiet.
Too quiet…
But then a dark black shadow decides to grace us with its presence by moving along the walls in the bedroom and fading into nothingness. My wife and I did not move from the bed during all of this. We were terror-stricken. And then a foul odor begins to come from underneath the bed followed by a sonorous growl that vibrated underneath us.
By this point it felt like something grave was about to happen and I had to do something. Or at least I had to try. I grabbed a hold of my wife’s hand and told her to be brave and to not fear this thing. Because that's what it wants. It wants to scare us out of our home and we can’t allow that to happen. But we mustard up the courage to face this evil spirit and began reciting the Lord’s Prayer.
The bedroom door slammed again and again, four times consecutively. With steady growls underneath the bed, but we stood our ground. Praying to the almighty to help and asking him to show this spirit to the light.
A raspy old voice then shouts from underneath the bed.
“Get out!… Leave my house!”
And I said…
“No! If you're stuck here like you’ve been all these years, then you’re going to have to learn to live with us. In peace or war. Because this is my house now. Not yours. You're dead! Leave already! Go! Go with God. And Go into the light.”
After 10 minutes of praying and arguing with this thing. It all just seemed to come to a pass. I wiped the tears of fear from my wife’s eyes and embraced her painful shivers.
I, too, was frozen over by the horror that leveled us during that night.
And nothing of that magnitude ever occurred again. And our home stood silent for a while. For a year to be exact. Which was very peaceful. The voices and scratching on the walls and ceilings, footsteps and disembodied voices eventually returned. But it doesn’t bother us at all. We pay it no mind.
Doesn’t bother my daughter. Not my wife nor I. We’ve just learned to live with it.
I know that must sound strange. But this is my home. Our home. And we intend to keep it that way.

Hello. I am applying to schools in the fall and have a 3.84 LSAC GPA which dropped in my last semester of college from a 3.9 because I got a C+. I know that it's just one lone grade, but I basically got disowned by my parents because of cultural problems (during the week before finals) and I failed my finals. Considering that if I didn't get the C+, I would be competitive for the T-14, should I write an adendum? this is so silly but i just had to write it down. don’t know which flair to use so i am sorry if i misplace:
my first ever guinea pig, mavis was adopted from petco (she was in such a small cage) and my partner and i just wanted her really badly. we didn’t even know where we could put her but we made it work. we had a bigger-ish cage but it wouldn’t suffice. i wanted to spoil her more. i also didn’t know they needed friends so i planned on getting her a friend but i noticed some signs of her getting sick. her eyes were squinting. she was sneezing a LOT. i took her back to petco (wasn’t sure what to do since they gave me a sick baby) and they took her to the vet. turns out she had a URI. i read a lot on here on how petco doesn’t communicate at all with you about sick animals so i quite literally called almost every day to pester them about mavis !! they were really nice to me and even sent me pictures. about a month and a few weeks later, we finally got her back (april 23rd-ish) !!! she’s now happier than ever. we got her a big cage that’s enough for two, lots of hideys, lots of food, lots of veggies and treats, and daily pets on the head. she gets so excited now and jumps around. popcorns and communicates with me. i have never loved someone, something THIS much. just today i finally got her a friend that’s a couple of months younger and she is jumping and running around her cage like the baby she is. again, sorry for this long post but i’m so happy, it’s to the point where i’m like sobbing. i love my girls so much but mavy’s journey taught me patience and augh, i love her so so much. do you guys ever just love your guineas so much you start bawling ?! 😭😭

Little weird one...
Met this girl on hinge a few weeks ago and it started out great. We were texting what seemed like non-stop, and initially bonded over one of my captions stating I need a Wedding date for some weddings I am going to this summer.
Last Saturday I invited her out and after her wanting to, she didn't due to her living an hour away and having a broke down car. Later that night around 2 am as I got home from the bars she was spamming me that shes coming to my city and how her and her friend want to come drink and stay the night. I was out for my birthday so I was more drunk than I should have been and kept drifting off and waking up. She got to my house closer to 5 am, and I said she can come in but I am sleeping instead of drinking and she ended up going to her friends place that she brought with her.
We were sort of planning brunch Sunday morning but I didn't give her a definitive answer, and she ubered back to her city, While on the uber back she was begging me to come to her city. First for brunch, then dinner and ultimately we decided on Dinner. She went fishing on a boat with some friends (I was thinking maybe a date type thing but she claimed all dudes on the boat have GFs and its a friend group) and lost her phone in the river and didn't hit me up till monday.
This is the turn... Monday she apologized saying she lost her phone (she was texting me on an iPad) and she just went kind of distant. Not responding in the same style, long responses, etc... This went on to Wednesday were I hit her up saying if she still wanted to be my wedding date as one was coming up soon and I had to let my friend know if I had a +1 due to a head count. She apologized for being distant, said she really wants to be my +1 and that was that. Thursday we picked up the conversations and while it wasn't as good as the beginning, she was responding fast. She ended up leaving me on read and we haven't hit each other up since.
I know I have only known her a few weeks and while yes I do talk to some other girls, she just hasn't left my mind. I leave for a trip here Saturday for a couple weeks and was thinking about hitting her up when I'm back but I just can't shake this one... Thoughts?

Hey, so I dont know exactly when this started, but Ive had this problem for a month or two already in my most demanding games (flightsim) and since a week or two it has constantly been happening in every game that I play.
The game just randomly and suddenly freezes/crashes with mostly no error. The one message Ive got told me something about .net framework, which I suspect is wrong, because my crash logs showed me that its DirectX losing connection. ("024-04-01 11:52:18.093 ERROR DX11BACKEND (18376): DX device removed. Reason: 0x887A0006")
Ive read that this is can happen when the game engine takes too long to respond and a bandaid fix would be adding 2 registry dwords to make directx/windows wait longer for a response. I dont wanna rely on that though and wanna fix the cause.
Ive tried everything so far, uninstalled and reinstalled several different gpu driver versions, verify game files, delete directx from registry etc.
But since Win11 "includes" directx there is no real reinstall I can do here, so does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

My current bike (an inherited mountain bike from the 90s) has a seized seat post positioned too low for my height that I can’t adjust after about a week of trying, and I’m starting to look at a new bike for the commute.
Main use is around city downtown, and to work which is a 20km round trip with a 70m elevation change over the whole commute. Most of the grade is 1%, though near work the hill steepens to about 6%
I took a MEC Midtown 2 for a test drive, and found I preferred the step through frame rather than the triangle frame I currently have, and was wondering what other options I should consider.
The Midtown 2 is currently on sale for $699CAD from MEC, however I’m willing to leave that price range if there are better options.

I have recently sustained an injury at my place of employment back in December of 2023 and found out I was terminated. I worked at a place that specializes in selling chicken wings and worked forty plus hours every week. I pulled something in my neck and back trying to pull out the flat top grill and refrigeration unit combo to spray down the floors and clean underneath the units as it was a daily task. I felt a discomfort that first night and thought nothing of it. As the week progress I was having tingling, burning, pin like, and numbness in my right arm and shoulder. I mentioned the discomfort and the night I starting feeling it to my manager which he wrote up the incident report. I was referred to their primary care doctor to submit an urine analysis and a check up. Once I arrived at the clinic and waited to be seen I told the clinic several times I was here for workman comp claim and needed to pee. They took me back to a room to see a doctor. I explained the problem and issues I was experiencing which she wrote me a work note for work restrictions believing it was my elbow and called it tennis elbow. I was out a week due to the restriction and rested. Once a week had passed I asked to be placed back on the work schedule and was told I never submitted the urine analysis and I stated I told the clinic I was there for a workman comp claim and was there to pee and be checked out by a doctor. My manager said I couldn't return to work until I submit the urine analysis. I returned to the clinic and told them I needed to submit the urine analysis and was seen that day to be tested. I dropped off the paperwork from the clinic and went home. I had to wait another week til I was allowed to return to work. I work for about two and a half weeks of working doubles before the pain returned but was much more intense. I mentioned the pains I was getting again and asked to be moved to a different station because I had been working the same station for the last couple of weeks and would like to work in a different station in the kitchen and the manager ignored my request. One night during my shift I left work to go to the E.R. because if felt like someone was taking a dull blade and digging it into my shoulder blade and my right hand had swelled up. After sitting in the E.R. bed for a couple of hours I was released from the hospital with another work restrictions stating not to use my right arm as much. I returned to work to drop off the note and see if my employer could accommodate my restrictions such as a different position within the business and was told no they couldn't. immediately they deleted my login to all platforms such as schedules, pay stubs, employee clock in number. I have several pictures of my trying to log into my payroll site and scheduling site and text box telling me to contact management. I have an audio recording of one the managers telling me I was fired immediately after the incident. I believe they terminated me as a retaliation for the workman comp claim and didn't expect me to follow through. I have mediation on the 28th of this month and not sure was I should ask for. My friend(F21) and I(F20) have been making drake the type of guy jokes for over a year now, and there was a point when that's all we would text eachother. When we would hang out with our group of friends a good chuck of time was the drake jokes we would make to eachother. We thought it was the most hilarious thing ever said , and made our other 2 friends read our entire text log of drake jokes and that took a good 15 mins to get through. With that and the constant jokes we made every time we hung out, they said they couldn't do it anymore and was too much, and that the text chain was their breaking point. Me and my friend were shocked that they were annoyed by the jokes and couldn't handle them anymore and forced them to sit through reading every text we sent to eachother about drake. So AITA for making too many drake jokes and forcing them to sit through all of them?
