26M Nasopharyngeal Mass

2024.05.15 07:48 Chance-Strawberry-20 26M Nasopharyngeal Mass

Hello, I (26M) recently noticed a small, painless, immobile lump on the right side of my neck. During my company’s annual medical exam, the doctor suggested it might be my body fighting an infection, although I had no symptoms like a cough, sore throat, fever, or colds at the time. The doctor advised me to observe the lump for two weeks to see if it would go away. Two weeks later, my AME results came back normal (chest x-ray, blood test, and urine test), and I had also tested negative for HIV, Hepatitis, and Syphilis two days before my AME schedule. During my AME interpretation with a different doctor, I mentioned the lump again, and this time I was referred to a specialist since it hadn’t gone away.
I visited an ENT specialist right after that and during the consultation, the specialist asked if I smoked (I don’t, but I drink occasionally) and then he performed a nasal endoscopy. The procedure revealed a Nasopharyngeal mass at the back of my nose, and I was advised to get a CT scan, ultrasound, additional blood tests, and a biopsy. I haven’t done these procedures yet, but I’m anxious about the possibility of it being something serious. And I know googling is not best thing to do but I couldn’t help it and now it increased my anxiety, making me fear it could be the c word.
What are the chances that this mass is not serious? I’m really scared and experiencing intense anxiety right now. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible.
Thank you.

2024.05.15 06:05 Ancient_Wash_2387 Rant: Pain Medication

It’s nearly midnight here in Lexington, KY. I’m on Day 2 of post surgery. Lying in the hospital bed. A bed that I can barely get out of or get back into. Why, you ask? Because of an insane and intense amount of pain. Same goes for if I need to sit down on the toilet, or lean over to brush my teeth, or dry off my legs after a shower, or clear my throat, or cough. (Already tried the pillow thing, doesn’t work)
Apparently, once you’re getting ready to be discharged the following day, this particular healthcare system stops providing IV pain medication.
At this time, the only medications I am being provided are Oxycodone 5s, Lyrica, Roboxum, and Valium. Unfortunately, none of these are even slightly relieving the pain I’m in when I perform the above activities.
I don’t understand this policy. They don’t want to provide anymore pain medicine via IV, but I guarantee you they’re gonna continue to bill for my stay.
Can I discharge myself? There’s no point in staying here another night if I can’t get the help I need.

Gut issues to start for sure, lack of what seems like digesting stuff properly, and idk if it’s acid reflux or the opposite just a lot of stuff rocking up my throat from my gut constantly clearing my throat sometimes coughing too, sinus congestion with that, change of perception like I’m in a nightmare and feel sickish, meds stopped working properly seems like for my adhd and my anxiety meds, teeth issues too! Like I just started having all these teeth rot more, went on quite a few antibiotics since then and then went off them, thought I had c diff from one of them but it was negative, now I’m just again after being off for awhile back on Zpac for a couple teeth that have infection. 2024.05.14 23:52 Key_Story2521 how long does it last?

i think i have the flu.. not sure. I started feeling sick last thursday with a tickle in my throat and had a fever by the nighttime. fever stuck on and off for 2 days with severe aches, chills, sweats, heart racing. day 3 i got a full blown head cold with blocked nose, pressure headaches, ears plugged. i’m on day 6 and i still have pressure headache.. nose is less stuffy but still a ton of post nasal drip. i feel absolutely exhausted no matter how much i sleep. i feel weak, shaky, nauseous all day long. to the point i don’t think i could walk any real distance.. started coughing like no tomorrow this morning, hardly getting anything up but a little bit. it feels so…. gross to breathe in my windpipes. i don’t know how to describe it. i’m starting to get a bit worried at how ill i feel for the 6th day though. Is this normal?

How to Pick the Right Air Purifier. Things to consider

Consider the Pollutants You Want to Target:

  • Allergens: Look for a purifier with a True HEPA filter, which captures particles as small as 0.3 microns, including dust, pollen, and pet dander.
  • Smoke and odors: Opt for a purifier with an activated carbon filter, which tackles smoke, cooking smells, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
  • Bacteria and viruses: Some purifiers use UV light or plasma ionization to kill airborne pathogens. However, their effectiveness and safety for long-term use are debated. Consider these features supplemental, not a replacement for true HEPA filtration.
Choose the Right Size for Your Space:

  • Air purifier capacity is measured in Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). Higher CADR indicates faster air cleaning in a larger room.
  • The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) certifies CADR for smoke, dust, and pollen. Look for a CADR rating that covers your room size for the target pollutants.
  • A general rule: Choose a CADR at least 2/3 the square footage of the room. For example, a 300 CADR purifier is suitable for a 150 sq. ft. room.
Think About Noise Level and Energy Efficiency:

  • Air purifiers run continuously, so noise level is important. Look for models with decibel (dB) ratings that suit your preferences. Lower dB indicates quieter operation.
  • Energy Star certified purifiers use less energy, saving you money on electricity bills.
Additional Features to Consider:

  • Replacement filter costs: Factor in the cost and frequency of filter replacements. True HEPA filters typically need replacing every 6-12 months.
  • Smart features: Some purifiers offer Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing control through apps for scheduling, filter monitoring, and air quality checks.
  • Auto mode: This feature automatically adjusts fan speed based on air quality sensor readings.

What are the Benefits of Using Air Purifiers

Breathing clean air is essential for maintaining good health, and air purifiers offer a powerful tool to improve the quality of the air you breathe indoors. Here are some key benefits you can experience by using an air purifier:

  • Improved Respiratory Health: Air purifiers significantly reduce airborne pollutants like dust, pollen, pet dander, and smoke. This can be especially beneficial for people suffering from allergies, asthma, or other respiratory issues. By removing these irritants, air purifiers can ease congestion, coughing, and difficulty breathing, allowing you to breathe easier and experience improved overall respiratory health.
  • Reduced Allergens and Dust: If you struggle with seasonal allergies or dust sensitivity, air purifiers can be a game-changer. HEPA filters effectively capture allergens as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust mites, and pet dander. This can significantly reduce allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing, leading to a more comfortable and allergy-free living environment.
  • Relief from Pet Dander and Smoke: Pet dander is a common allergen for many people, and air purifiers with HEPA filters can effectively remove it from the air. This can alleviate allergy symptoms triggered by pets and improve overall indoor air quality for pet owners and non-pet owners alike. Additionally, air purifiers with activated carbon filters can help reduce smoke particles and odors, providing relief for those living in areas with wildfires or those exposed to secondhand smoke.
  • Improved Sleep Quality: Clean air plays a vital role in getting a good night's sleep. Allergens and pollutants can disrupt sleep patterns by causing congestion, coughing, and difficulty breathing. Air purifiers can help by removing these irritants, creating a cleaner and more comfortable sleeping environment. This can lead to deeper, more restful sleep, leaving you feeling more energized and refreshed in the morning.
  • Reduced Risk of Airborne Illnesses: While air purifiers cannot eliminate viruses and bacteria entirely, some models with additional features like UV light or plasma ionization may help reduce their spread. Combined with other measures like proper ventilation and hygiene, air purifiers can contribute to a healthier indoor environment by potentially reducing the risk of airborne illnesses.

2024.05.14 18:26 PeglegSugarHopkins Feeling of something in throat, dry cough and voice affected.

So I quit smoking 3 weeks ago after drastically reducing how much I smoke. At the moment it feels like I have something at the top of my throat, almost like mucus but when I cough nothing comes up. My voice is a bit hoarse as well, I have a very deep voice and it doesn't feel to be resonating like it used to.
Any idea what this is and how long it's gonna last? Thanks.

2024.05.14 17:54 hoggersbridge Engines of Arachnea: A Science Fantasy Epic (Chapter 16: The Leapers)

Link for all the chapters available here: Engines of Arachnea on Royal Road
He was back at Smiley’s taproom with a petite brunette dangling from his arm, the young signal operator whose acquaintance he’d made while assigned as a liaison officer with the Exploratory Corps. There he was, all big and stiff in his brand-new dress uniform, trying desperately to impress someone who was astronomically more attractive than him and making a priceless ass of himself.
“So,” she purred, eyeing him over the rim of her glass, “Tell me again about the surface. What’s it like wandering up there above all us wee mortals?”
“Erm,” Rene cleared his throat, feeling a hot flush creeping up his reddening neck, “It’s, uh, quite remarkable really. Simply fantastic.”
Having run out of things to say, Rene took a snootful of his drink in an attempt to sharpen his wits. It was so hard to focus with her hanging onto his every word like this.
“Ooh, you make it sound so exciting,” Deborah had tittered. Or was it Devorah? Her name had gotten lost in the fumes of fermented honeydew clouding up his brain. Perhaps another sip would jog his memory. Rene downed the horrid swill and coughed as it burned its way down his throat and up his nostrils.
“Would you look at the state of him!” someone guffawed, slapping Rene on the back, “Cool as cucumbers under fire when there’s a hundred dirty Amits breathing down our necks, but prop him up next to a lass and he goes completely to pieces.”
“Ah, piss off,” Rene said fondly. He turned to see Lethway sitting next to him flanked by two buxom blondes, an Amit axe buried deep in his neck.
“I’m only saying. You’ve got to keep your head on your shoulders, man,” Lethway said, as his own tumbled off sideways and hung on by a flap of gristle, “We’ve got a long night ahead of us with our fine lady friends here. It wouldn’t do for you to be sleeping on the job.’
“Why, Lethie my dearest. I’m sure Mr. Louvoture has the…stamina…to keep up,” the brunette said demurely, batting her eyelids at Rene, “Go on. You were telling me about how amazing it is up there.”
“Yes,” Rene puffed out his cheeks and marshalled his scattered thoughts, “It’s like this, see…how can I put it? Words can hardy do it justice.”
“Try me,” Deborah/Devorah said, tugging at his arm with her warm hands. The girl was practically throwing herself at him no matter how badly he was fumbling the ball. Rene my lad, if you don’t make it tonight you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life, Rene thought to himself.
“Alrighty then,” Rene said, deciding to risk everything by gaze deep into her eyes, which if the romance novels were to be believed, were windows into a woman’s soul. She had very pretty irises, all velvety and shining with something bordering on hero-worship.
“When you’re topside and the suns go down beyond the hills, and the clouds weep tears of crimson as the sky rolls over into a bowl of stars holding all the universe above you, it feels like…like…” Rene trailed off.
“What?” she whispered into the hush that had settled over the bar.
“Well, it feels a little like this,” Rene said softly, leaning in for a kiss. Her lips tasted his, the tip of her tongue quivering with longing. She drew him into her embrace, gripping him around the waist and pressing into him.
Awfully forward, these girls from Mound Sierra, Rene thought with some alarm. Not that he was complaining. They spent an eternity entwined like this, the whole taproom cheering and egging them on.
“Woof!” Rene broke away to catch his breath, “Is it me, or is it getting hard to breathe in here?”
“Shut up and kiss me again,” Devorah/Deborah said impatiently, wrapping a leg around his and holding him tight. Rene put a hand on her thigh and found that she was surprisingly hairy for a girl. Feeling a little repulsed at this he tried to peel himself away, but found that he couldn’t move any of his limbs.
“Mmph. Hmmgh!” he mumbled, his voice muffled by her insistent mouth. He cocked an eyebrow over her shoulder at Lethway, who’d just propped his head back up onto its stump.
“Cheers, big fellow!” Lethway tipped a glass in his direction and downed his glass in one gulp, the drink trickling out of him through a large bullet hole in his chest.
“I hate it when that happens,” Lethway said, staring sadly at it. He looked back up at Rene and said: “Oy! What did I tell you about falling asleep on the job. Isn’t it about time you got moving, trooper?”
“Not yet,” Devorah/Deborah sighed, kissing his neck, “First he has to tell me how much he likes my eyes. You do like my eyes, don’t you?”
“Why, of course darling—” Rene began. But then she pulled back to look him in face, and the words curdled and died on his lips.
Gone was the petite brunette in her oh-so-short skirt, replaced by a furry, many-eyed freak with quivering mouthparts. In an instant Smiley’s taproom was torn away to reveal the awful truth of his current circumstances: he was hanging upside down from a tree and caught in monster’s deadly embrace. He was trussed up by his legs which had gone completely numb, and his wrists were bound together by loops of silk that felt as strong as steel chains. Yelling incoherently, Rene started wriggling like a worm on a hook. The creature tightened its hold and pressed its fangs against his throat, delicately avoiding piercing the skin while looking at him through its row of eyes.
It was a warning. Rene wisely heeded it and stopped struggling. After a long moment the monster let him go, although they both continued to dangle upside down. Rene stared at its face in horrid fascination. He saw now that it had four eyes on its flat, squarish face, the centermost pair dwarfing the two ancillary ones on either side of them. In the place of a lower jaw it had four vertical mouthparts, the shorter ones in the middle tipped with curved fangs while the rest functioned like antennae, moving constantly with little taps and clicks, its grotesque head nodding along with them.
Rene thought the motion was reminiscent of a person’s lips as they mumbled, and he had a disturbing suspicion that the monster was trying to talk to him. The fact that he was still alive also lent credence to this theory. After all, if Amits were intelligent lifeforms, why couldn’t this one be as well? Hoping against hope, he stammered out:
“I—I don’t understand. I’m afraid I can’t speak your language. Haven’t got the equipment for it. See?”
Rene bared his teeth at it in a forced smile, tying show it what he meant. But the monster recoiled from him, pushing off the trunk behind him and leaping back some twenty meters away from him. It alighted on a tangle of creeper vines and hung there in all its awful majesty, eyeing Rene through its four unblinking orbs. It had ten appendages including its stubby antennae, each of them ending in a three-clawed hand. Its shoulder and thigh muscles were enormous, though its potbellied torso was as round as a wagon wheel, sporting a disgusting hump of flesh on its back. No doubt it contained even more musculature to support its powerful limbs, which at the moment were bunched up and ready to spring.
He had startled it, Rene realized. His own mouth was probably just as alien and repulsive to its sensibilities as its physiology was to him. Before he could derive some small satisfaction from that, more of the monsters emerged to join the first, darting out of the shadows with an unnatural, jittery motion. They moved in stops and starts, periods of immobility interrupted by burst of blinding speed, here one moment and gone the next.
“It shpeaksh…” Rene heard someone say in a voice somewhere between a dry croak and the gurgling of a water pipe. Rene looked around for the source of the voice and was shocked to find that it was issuing from the largest monster, the one reclining on the vines like some misshapen ape. He couldn’t believe his own ears. It was speaking Fleet cantish, mangling its way through the words somehow despite the total absence of a jawbone.
“Gallivant?” another queried with clearer pronunciation.
“No blade-wing, thish,” the leader clicked its palps thoughtfully, “Too shoft. Too schtupid. Came from the fire giant. Dropped a sheed pod, it did, like a tree in the wind. The sheed shpun a web and floated. Down, down, down.”
“Shoft like a grub,” agreed the smallest monster somewhat belatedly. A frothy substance with the consistency of saliva dripped from its fangs. It took a step towards Rene, stiffening all over. Before he could even blink it had launched itself through the air directly at him. In the same instant the leader also leapt, slamming bodily into its subordinate and throwing it to the ground.
“No,” the leader rasped, letting the other monster limp away having been suitably chastised, “Questions firshht. The fire giant. Are you itsh hatchling?”
It was staring at Rene when it said this. Rene thought quickly. It was a binary question and he felt that his life hung in the balance, the odds being even either way. Heads or tails? From what he’d heard it was clear that the only thing keeping him from lining the stomachs of these monsters was their abiding curiosity. They had witnessed the Divine Engine and his impromptu ejection from it, and they were under the impression that it had been a living thing and that he was its offspring. It followed that the best thing to do was to maintain their interest in him for as long as possible while he thought of an escape plan. Heads it was, then. Rene said:
“Yes. Yes, I am its ‘hatchling’.”
He glanced around until he found his sword where he had left it leaning against the buttress root, still in its sheathe next to the survival kit. If he could just reach down and grasp it in his hands…
“Good,” said the abomination, “And know you the secret of itsh power?”
“Of course,” Rene said, slowly and surreptitiously stretching out his arms, reaching for the sword hilt with all his might.
“Good, good,” the abomination crooned. There was a blur of motion and the leader materialized in front of him, their faces inches apart. It seized him by the hairs and yanked him close.
“Then I, too, will know its inner workingshh. Once I open your head and drink deep from your mind.”
Should have gone with tails, Rene thought as it lunged for him.

2024.05.14 17:49 JB-TheThird Does anybody else struggle with plastic bottles (water)?

So I’ve noticed especially more recently that I seem to flare up a bit when I consume water. This never used to be an issue for me, until my MCAS has worsened since coming off of benzos in SeptembeOctober.
I get symptoms such as flushing and itching, around the body, face and lips, post nasal drip/itchy throat. It’s extremely uncomfortable and frustrating because I am trying to make sure I am as hydrated as possible and drinking enough water. I’ve been told this could likely be due to the plastic bottles. Does anybody else have this and have to avoid plastic bottles completely? Why do the plastic bottles cause this to happen? I have just ordered some glass bottled water and am hoping I have more success with that.

2024.05.14 17:25 canttakethshyfrom_me OTC treatment for mucus blockage in inner ear from upper respiratory infection?

42M, 5'9", 240lb, non-smoker, some history of sinus congestion but no previous eustachian tube issues. Got exposed Thursday at a concert (only time it could have happened), by Saturday night my throat was sore. Only mild sinus issues and not much of a cough, but last night my middle ear filled with mucus and won't drain. Took pseudoephedrine, diphenhydramine, acetaminophen and ibuprofen along with lisinopril, and pain subsided. This morning, naproxen, pseudoephedrine and acetaminophen plus adderall, vilazodone and gabapentin.
No pain to speak of now, and breathing clear through my nose with little pressure in other sinus areas. But pressure in the ear remains and hearing is greatly reduced, no high frequencies. Can hear it sloshing in there when I move my head. Have had hope a couple times that it was about to drain, but still stuck. Been running the humidifier since last night, several times have just stood around breathing in steam from the shower. Treatment recommendations at this point? And what duration or signs would send me to a urgent care or an ENT (I'm American so it'd be a considerable expense).

2024.05.14 16:36 Nagash24 Am I just extremely sensitive to one virus in particular?

Hi,
32M, 176cm, 106kg, white, France.
My entire life, even when I was a baby (my mom says), I've had issues with getting colds all the time. Well I say "cold" but I kind of don't know what infection exactly it is that I'm getting... but I get it at least twice a year, and the symptoms are just those of a common cold. So, yeah, I feel like I catch every single wave of common cold ever. My symptoms are sneezing, congested nose, coughing, sore throat, lungs aching a bit, headaches from the coughing... and I sleep worse because it's harder to breathe well at night in a lying position. I don't have any more serious symptoms that would hint at the flu. It's relatively mild, but I just catch it ALL the time.
I know that several viruses can be responsible for what I experience as a common cold, I know that certain viruses mutate a lot which can make building an immunity problematic. But I basically never catch any other type of illness, either. I think my immune system is fairly good, I've worked in COVID-ridden spaces during the height of the pandemic and never caught that either.
I see other people though who never get colds, so, it IS possible to build an immunity against it even where I live... just not for me. Is this a weird quirk of a specific virus, a weird quirk of my immune system, a combination of many factors? I'm not pathologically clean and tidy, but I do wash my hands when I come home from public places, and I don't really lick door handles or anything.
Thank you for reading.

2024.05.14 16:23 ever_rose_bloom Somatic tinnitus when I wake up and yawn.

About a month and a half ago, I began to notice a slight loud ring in my right ear when I wake up and yawn laying down. I don’t know why or how this started.
Two weeks ago, I felt sick. My throat was sore and my sinuses were acting up. I was starting to feel better but this past Tuesday, I noticed after a film at the theatres, that my right ear felt a bit off… like muffled without actually being muffled. And ringing in my right ear became noticeably apparent. To the point it made me anxious and depressed but as the days went by, the ringing lessened. However, the somatic tinnitus I experience in the morning has increased.
Days before the sickness actually hit, I was noticing increased ringing in both ears. The kind where it lasts a few seconds and then goes away. Along with my throat feeling itchy.
I do plan on seeing an ENT. I just don’t want to make it worse and not sure if it’s tension causing this or it can always be a combination of things right?
It sucks because it came up right as I started taking guitar lessons and learning how to play an instrument for once in my life.
Since this has happened, I have not used my earphones for music* at all. I do work in a kitchen and due to anxiety over this being made worse (because working in a kitchen can be loud) I blew off work.
Wondering if anyone has similar experience?

2024.05.14 15:41 Canadian-Corgi Cough that's going on 3 months now

Hello! I'm a 35/F in Canada, with a history of mild asthma. Non-smoker In early March I got strep throat - doc never did a swab but my tonsils were swollen & patchy white/black. She gave me amoxicillin and that helped. 2 weeks later I could feel something brewing in my chest, I tried to fight it on my own but ended up stopping by a pharmacy where he gave me salbutamol + 5 days of prednisone. That kind of helped, so I ended up at the hospital because of thr weight on my chest. Chest xrays came back clear, that doc gave me amoxicillin again and the round purple inhaler, advair. Went back to the hospital a week later. Doc took blood work, everything was normal (rbc was slightly elevated but was never mentioned) I was still coughing up phlegm, I couldn't sleep on my right side or I could feel the weight of my chest and start coughing again. Mid-April things finally started getting slightly better, but then they seemed to go back to square one a week later. I've been to the hospital + a clinic x2 now, got an EKG done it was normal....got more prednisone and was told to double up on the advair. Takes the edge off but it's not helping overall. A repeat xray last week showed nothing
Now in May I'm still coughing - seems dry during the day and wet at night, I can only sleep on my stomach or sitting up but wake up constantly coughing. If I lie on my side I get a bad wet cough that makes me feel like I'm choking. Sometimes I cough so hard I puke, or I can't seem to hold my bladder or I get pain behind my left eye..like a Charlie horse but in my eye. My chest hurts, my throat is sore from all the coughing. Same with my stomach muscles. When I take a breath in, I can feel pain on my right side/right lung?. If I turn my neck, lean forward, hiccup etc I start coughing again.
At night I take 2 puffs of salbutamol, 2 puffs of advair, an allergra, nasal spray and 2 tablespoons of benelyn and a tea with honey to help a scratchy throat
I go back to see the clinic dr today, I'm miserable.
Thank you in advance

2024.05.14 15:30 jacdan07 Flonase anosmia?

34F, central NC area.
Hi! For about a month, I had this annoying, hacking cough and sinus congestion. Urgent care 1 said it was sinusitis: started amoxicillin and prednisone - this did nothing. Urgent care 2 a week later said it was acute cough and walking pneumonia: chest xray was clear, stopped amoxicillin, started doxycycline and tessalon - this did nothing either. A week after that, I finally got to my primary care dr: no idea what it is but did a nebulizer, prescribed Flonase 2x/day, Zyrtec, inhaler, and nebulizer at night.
None of these treatments worked either. My cough had become intermittent, and 5/12 (5 days after starting primary care’s Rx - today is 5/14), my sense of smell and taste left me. Dr told me to stop Flonase - 2 days later still no improvement. I have this weird phantom smell up in my nose that I can’t begin to describe but it’s gross. She offered no other advice or treatment - just to stop Flonase for a week.
Anyone else had this happen to them? I’ve never had allergies before and all these drugs were new to me besides the prednisone. I also restarted birth control while all of this was happening - but I’ve used that medication before without issue.
Send help because eating and life in general is depressing without smell and taste!
Edit to add: Covid tests were and have been negative.
Edit 2: ENT did a nasal endoscopy: found purulent mucus on the medial meatus in both nostrils. Nasty sinus infection. Started amox-clav for the next two weeks with sinus CT at follow up.

2024.05.14 13:41 Porkchop_apple Swelling and sick

38f Evening primrose, b complex, allertec, fish oil
I don't have any known conditions and for the last 4 months been on a healthy weight loss plan and have been walking on my treadmill. I got a typical cold it usually happens once this time of year. Typical achy feeling and coughing up mucus and post nasal drip. But the weird part is that I am also have joint pain in my knees which I have never had and swelling in the morning. My rings got stuck this morning and both my hand and feet are itchy and painful. It happened yesterday morning and slowly diminished as the day went on but again this morning my feet and hand are super puffy. The cold makes sense the swelling and joint pain do not. I have a physical next week but I'm trying to get answers or solutions before then.

2024.05.14 12:28 Kinnporscheislife 26F Non pathologically enlarged cervical nodes and an oval shaped one measuring 9.5mm

It's been 3 months ever since I had an episode of my whole body aching especially my back pain which got really worse to the point I couldnt sleep from the pain and even sweated and had a mild fever 37.4 celcius that night. The whole body/bone pain has been going on for a few days prior to developing that fever for one day but I felt like I was going down with something. My neck has been bothering me for a while I dont cough but it felt sore inside/weird. I did a cbc everything normal, crp, esr normal, ANA normal, ca-125 normal, LDH normal, igA, Igg, Igm normal, ultrasound showed reactive nodes with a more prominent one in the right side of my neck which is palplatable and measured 9.5mm and was described as a hypoechoic oval shape (lymph node?) In the report. Chest x ray clear. A hematologist felt my nodes on my neck and then my groin ones which are pea sized but dismissed them. For the past months Ive been having muscle spasms and discomfort on my legs, and hands which comes and goes like the burning feeling in the inside of my throat. I also get pressure in the sides of my head and there are swollen occipital nodes that cause me discomfort too. It feels like my muscles are really tense. Also I have really weak muscles/tendons/hip flexors? In the side of my buttocks especially the left one which becomes more intense when I open that leg or rotate it inside. I also get some burning sensations spreading from my chest to stomach and sometimes I feel cold. I also get random pain on my jaw and under cheekbones. Most discomfort was noticed during the night or laying down. I still experience back/hip pain from time to time. Also my left ear is sensitive when I hear something loud or touch it it makes something like echo ear drum? Also been seen by an ENT doctor who said I was clear. Should I look into this further or could this be due to a virus after 3 months? Possibility for Sjogrens(mildly drymouth, also vagina with frequent candida infections, dry eyes and have always had problems with cavities, dry nose) or TMJ? 6months ago I also had a neck and brain MRI which showed back left bone spurs in A4-A6 level that could be pressuring the A6 root. I've also worried about lymphoma because I got some mild night sweats that could be connected to anxiety and nightmares, were not drenching and after xanax use they havent appeared for a few weeks. What has been constantly bothering me though is the lower back pain muscle spasms and that weird stiff feeling on the sides of my hips and that tendon/nerve/muscle stretching/spasm deep inside left buttock.

2024.05.14 11:41 blandasparagus Anyone else feel like their underwater when breathing

Hi guys. My doctor said I either have allergic or non allergic rhinitis. I have no clue which one it is and my doctor ain't any help. I've been having severe nasal congestion randomly the past 2 months. Then it goes away and there's residue and I have mucus coming down from my nose I think.
I am not very congested, but I feel it at the very top part of my nose congestion is worse when I wake up in the morning then it gets better. I don't have any mucus from my nose to blow from cause I guess it's on the dry side.
But I feel like I'm underwater when breathing. Like I can't feel the sensation of air go though and up my nose despite not being that congested. Which makes me feel like I’m not breathing.
Could it be the inflammation of my nose still? Has anyone else felt like this before?
Thanks guys
