So this was a story I had been obsessed with since I saw a video on the subject by williamdefalco on YouTube. He has a pretty good series of videos about obscure cryptids, ghost stories and the like. Of note, the Butterfly People of Joplin. Back in May of 2011, as many know, an EF5 tornado devastated Joplin, MO killing 158 people and leveling houses and buildings. However, from the rubble came stories of mysterious entities that were dubbed the Butterfly People. Kids would describe beings with colorful wings shielding them from debris by wrapping them up or they would use their bodies.
Ultimately what they are I have seen many different theories: the most blatant one is that they were angels that intervened to save a few while others came to collect the souls of the deceased. Others think they are fairies or some form of cryptid; aliens even. Or there is the more likely one "the Third Man phenomenon" wherein it refers to the times when people were in life-threatening situations and were believed to have received help from some invisible guide. So something like kids perceived the idea of the Butterfly People to deal with stressful situations. Keep in mind that Joplin is in the bible belt so, if the angel theory is anything to go by, they only think they are seeing celestial beings.
I have been interested in knowing more about these entities for a few years now and tried searching for similar accounts. I did try researching a few. One story goes as follow: a mother and their young daughter were caught in the storm, and they saw their car was about to collide with them. The mother shielded her daughter with her body and braced for impact... except it never came. "Weren't they pretty?" the girl asked. She clarified that she was alluding to the butterfly people and that they saved them.
I was looking for years to see what the name of the mother and daughter were, but then I heard different variations of the story from second hand accounts. Or there was one that seemed more ridiculous: the idea that some people were trapped in a church's basement and the storm caused columns to crumble trapping them in. According to one video I watched, people claimed six men came in and lifted the heavy columns up and left. I had tried searching for the name of the church and some of the survivors at the least, but found nothing. It sounds more like a case of mass hysteria and/or BS.
Like, I do not intend on stepping on anyone's faith because that would be a douchey thing to do. But I always find these stories kind of funny: you expect people to buy that these angels would save some people and just leave the others to their fate? I fully like how the stories are meant to portray hope and healing after a national disaster but at the same time, they come off as kind of offensive for people whose family members perished in the storm. It just gives off bad vibes like.... good for you, some butterfly angels saved your son. So then why did another family lose their child? It comes off as being somewhat blissfully ignorant meant more as an excuse to explain away why this bad thing happened.
I am curious if any had any experiences with the Butterfly People and later recanted it or if there are still some that stand by what they believed to have seen. Just kind of want to hear more stories than the ones that I had seen circulating around and could be considered just legends since there is no primary source.

One thing I noticed about social media this season is that the official instagram page for Survivor posts a clip from an older season eachTuesday that foreshadows something that’s about to happen in the next episode. This isn’t conventional edgic, but it’s in the same realm of making predictions based off what Survivor shows us. Instead of the editors though, it’s their social media team.
Some of the clips foreshadow upcoming challenges:

• The March 19 post was from 42, showing the challenge that ends in basketball with the floating hoops, which was in the following episode
• The April 9 post was from Cagayan, showing the start of the “balance on the floating triangle in the middle of the ocean” challenge
• The April 30 post was from 43, showing Gabler rambling during the endurance challenge where you’re preventing the bucket from falling

Some foreshadow rewards:

• Last week’s post was from HvV and showed the heroes on the pizza reward

And some foreshadow other events, like strategy and camp life, which become major parts of the episode. These I find the most fun, since you usually know the challenge/reward from the “next time on” sequence, and these feel more like actual hints sometimes.

• The March 5 episode showed Malcolm and Denise becoming a pair in Philippines, and Maria and Charlie became a pair that following episode.
• The March 26 post was from Tocantins, showing the formation of the exile alliance. This foreshadowed the creation of the Journey 6 alliance the following episode. This was the post where I started to notice the trend, since I immediately guessed that an alliance would form on a journey after seeing that posted out of the blue.
• The April 2 post was a compilation of Aubry’s highlights in Kaoh Rong, foreshadowing Mo saying her favorite player was Aubry and Q using that to focus on her as a target -The April 16 post showed Tony forming the spy shack, foreshadowing hide n seek

All this to say - today’s post is another from Philippines about Malcolm and Denise, where Malcolm roasts his whole tribe for sucking at challenges but compliments Denise and talks about how strong she is. This makes me wonder, does Maria win a third immunity this episode, since the clip highlights Denise’s strength? Or does Charlie turn on Maria, because the caption is “It’s so nice having a steady alliance in this game 😉” and that wink looks pretty evil to me.
What do yall think?? I think this has been a fun thing to track even though it almost feels vaguely spoilerish, since I’m assuming the social media team is told what to post each week by the producers who know what’s going to happen each episode. It’ll be fun to see what’s foreshadowed in the finale, or if it’ll just be like a compilation of people winning or something.

It took about one month for Kia to auction and sell our '20 Niro EV lease turn in. It's now for sale ($20,900) at an Acura dealer in Springfield, MO. If the dealer paid $18,900, then Kia sold it for app. $1k less than the turn in residual. The car may have been driven from Cincy to Springfield, based on the odometer.
Interestingly, cars dot com is using the GOM as an indicator of battery health. The person who recently drove it likely went the speed limit, as GOM is 239 miles at 99% SOC. Weirdly, I got a phone notification that my Kia was fully charged about a week ago, and I knew this was from the old car. Cincy dealer sales person said they would reset the Kia Connect, but obviously they didn't and I can't delete the old car from the app! I guess I'll call Kia?
Good car if anyone is interested. I washed and waxed it regularly and always charged to 80%, except for long trips.

It's often said that one of the biggest things martials lack in 5e is out of combat utility. While I'm not going to deny that they certainly have fewer options than casters do, I don't think martials are completely without options. As an example, here are some things Strength and Dex based characters can still excel at:
Lock Picking (Str and Dex): While classically a rogue ability, any class can be an expert lockpick. For dex-based characters, the easiest way to do this is using thieve's tools or sleight of hand to get lock open. For strength-based characters, you have several options including attacking the door, ripping it open with a Crowbar (note: Crowbars are in the PHB and give you advantage), or smashing it down with a Portable Ram (note: Portable Rams are also in the PHB and give you a +4 bonus to such checks)
Wall Breaking (Str): Shockingly, strength-based characters are have even more options here than dex-based characters do, as while dex-based characters can only pick locks, str-based characters can pick open walls by smashing them with a maul or ram. Proficiency with Mason's Tools will actually let your attacks deal double-damage to walls, and having an adamantine weapon (note: these appear in xanathar's) lets you critically hit against objects, on top of the doubled damage.
Being able to smash through walls can be exceptionally useful in prison breaks, dungeon crawls, and heists, but remember that walls aren't the only things you can smash. Floors are a great way to get down to the next level, and smashing open the hulls of ships is an excellent way to sink them.
Smashing walls can also be useful in battle, as it can give your ranged party members a place to take cover during combat.
Stealing (Dex): Maybe it shouldn't be much of a surprise that rogues are excellent at stealing things. Hell, that's a major part of their MO. However, I think stealing often gets a bad rap in 5e because how the dumbest of murderhobos use it:
Namely, attempting to steal large, conspicuous objects from extremely dangerous NPCs while said NPC is paying direct attention to them, after making it clear they're with the rest of the party
Don't do that. It's beyond idiotic
Instead, the best creatures to steal from are ones that aren't particularly strong or important, and have valuables that are actually easy to extract and conceal. Creatures that are already hostile to the party and have money, but that you wouldn't necessarily murder in broad daylight like nobles are also excellent examples
remember also that forgery kits can hep with this, particularly if you have a disguise kit to back it up and protect your identity. Being able to replicate a rich person's signiture and signet ring will allow you to scribe Writs of Credit in your unwitting patron's name (note: writs of credit were what people used before checkbooks)
Tools (Str and Dex): Many player forget that tools like chef's utensils or artisan's kits have many uses, which are noted in Xanathar's Guide to Everything. Each of those entries includes checks that tool proficiencies grant advantage on, as well as an explicit use for the tool (e.g. chef's utensils grant creatures additional healing during a long rest) and certain DCs for things you can do with those tools (e.g. improvising an item with tinker's tools)
One particularly useful thing to do which might not be obvious at first glance is to use tinker's tools or smith's tools for repairing objects, as most players will fight a large organization of humanoid NPCs at some point in the game, and many DMs will rule that their equipment is in poor repair when they realize how much money you can make from selling all their swords, bows and armor
Another useful think to keep in mind is that while there are no explicit rules for this, most DMs will be generous with allowing you to harvest parts from beasts, monstrosities, dragons, and other creatures using leatherworker's tools and survival, and let you craft objects from them or pass them off to an NPC to craft items for you.
Identifying Magic Items (Str and Dex): Thought this was a wizard's job? Think again. Any creature can identify a magic item as part of a short rest, as noted in the Dungeon Masters Guide page 136. A potion can also be identified just by sticking your finger in and tasting it. This is admittedly slower that the Identify spell, but you don't need a 100gp pearl, or a wizard to do it
Crafting Potions of Healing (Str and Dex): Fun fact, you don't need magic to craft a potion of healing, and it only takes 8 hours per potion. an Elf can easily make one potion every rest they get a late start to the day, and another character can easily brew them on the road as well. Herbalism proficiency is needed to do this, but no checks are involved. If you're on the road, you can still brew them while camping, or even on the road if you and your party have a wagon to carry things in. Additionally, many dms will let you forage for ingredients using herbalism, nature, or survival checks, removing the cost of crafting these potions altogether
Using Nonmagical Items (Str and Dex): Yesterday I shared THIS, as some tips and tricks for creation Bard, but as some people pointed out, creating these tricks might be suspect. That said, what isn't suspect is purchasing these item from the store, and either carrying them yourself, or buying a mule to carry them for you (note: a mule has a carrying capacity of 420 (blaze it) pounds and costs 8 gp). I mentioned some equipment before, but here are some others I like:

• Magnifying Glasses: These are great. Not only can you use them for investigation, but the PHB gives the example of using them to find the weak point in a tunnel to collapse it. That's pretty damn nifty
• Rope: You can never have enough rope. This stuff is useful for climbing, tying people up, making bridges., carrying allies, holding things together and so on.
• 10 foot pole: Do you have Polearm Master but your DM gave you a magic sword? Tie it securely to a pole and cover the joint with molten tar to hold it fast. Now you have a magic glaive.
• Manacles: I like these better for restraining people than ropes becuase they're more reliable and harder to escape. Plus, they're fairly inexpensive
• Ladder: Don't forget these are a thing that exists. They can be great for scaling walls
• Mule: As a I said, these are super cheap and great for carrying things. They even make an excellent and easily replacable mount for small players. Note that you should be using a mount to get AWAY from enemies, not to get closer to them. If you use a mount right, they're basically a free dash or disengage action combined with a movement speed boost
• Flour: extremely cheap and extremely flammable. When just a little bit is in the air, flour is actually more explosive than gunpowder (at least according to google). It's a great way to commit arson, and can be very useful in combat if combined with an ally's fire magic
• Oil: oil is dirt cheap at 1sp per pint. a single bucket can carry 2.4 gp worth of the stuff (26 lb.) which can fill a 20-foot-by-30 foot area with slippery, highly flammable liquid. Once again, great for arson and fire spells. Also useful for making traps
• Ball Bearings: Only slightly more expensive, 64gp worth of ball bearings can fill a 40x40 area, turning it into difficult terrain
• Caltrops: same deal as ball bearings, only it would be a 20x20 area

I’m planning on going on a July road trip through some Midwestern states (MN, WI, MI UP, MO, and IL) with a friend and we plan on car camping for most of the trip. I know the areas we’re going to be in have black bears so I was wondering how you store your food when car camping where bear interactions are possible? We plan to bring a cooler for the duration of the trip.

It's the episode where Homer and Marge are trying to look for someone to be Maggie's godfather and it only just occurred to me now in a different episode. Before that, Moe saved Maggie from almost fallen to her death when she fell off the side of the bridge and Maggie ended up having a great bond with Moe so how come the writers? Didn't remember this and just simply made Moe Maggie's godfather. Instead of asking fat flipping Tony or every other citizen in Springfield you made one episode where Mo saved. Maggie, but yet when it came to finding someone to be Maggie's godfather they never asked him or they never came to that conclusion. So writers how could you forget that?

The Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya has been plagued by numerous terrorist activities, primarily attributed to the presence of Al-Shabaab, an al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia. The camp, which hosts over 211,000 refugees, mostly from Somalia, has become an area of concern for terrorist activity. due to the lack of effective security measures and the presence of armed bandits and Islamist militias.
The escalation of attacks by Al-Shabaab has prompted UNHCR and its partners to significantly scale back their operations in the camps. The Kenyan authorities have imposed a curfew in the camps and have deployed more police, with reports of mass arrests and beatings of refugees during police sweeps for Al-Shabaab fighters.
The ability of Al-Shabaab to operate within the camps and in surrounding areas such as Garissa seems to confirm the fears of many Kenyans, who believe that Dadaab is being used as a base for militants. An opinion piece in one of Kenya's largest newspapers, The Daily Nation, compared Dadaab with the refugee camps set up in Goma in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide: Dadaab presents a huge threat to Kenyan security. Like Goma, the refugee camp is probably crawling with militia. What better way for Al-Shabaab to penetrate Kenya's borders than to become refugees within our borders? R. The presence of armed bandits and Islamist militias, as well as periodic outbreaks of clan feuding, means that the threat of violence against humanitarian workers is very real. The UN mission in Dadaab operates under UN phase three security restrictions stipulating travel by convoy and with an armed police escort, no free movement of staff without armed guards in the camps, and a curfew for humanitarian workers, who have to be in a secure compound from 6 pm to 6 am.
The Kenyan government has accused refugees of being a security threat and Dadaab the operational base from which Al-Shabaab launches its attacks. However, human rights groups have termed the repatriation program as far from voluntary, accusing the Kenyan government of scapegoating refugees and failing to provide concrete evidence for its claims.
The Kenyan government faces a significant challenge in balancing its responsibility to protect its citizens with its humanitarian commitment to refugees. Dadaab has strained resources and created security concerns, particularly with the presence of Al-Shabaab. The government prioritizes the safety and security of all within its borders and views the repatriation of refugees as a key step towards achieving that goal.
The situation has been further exacerbated by the ongoing drought in the Horn of Africa, which has led to thousands of repatriated Somali refugees returning to Kenya's Dadaab refugee camp to seek relief. The Kenyan government's ban on the registration of new refugees has left these returnees without access to aid programs.

I’m not sure if this is considered a Glitch, a time slip or just delusion, but this is something that happened to me and my family that we can’t explain.
Summer 2011, In the car was me (19) my sister, dad and stepmom we were on our way to a camp site. We had other family joining us, my uncle and Nan both arriving separately called us saying they were setting off, did we need anything from the shops and to let us know their arrival time. We were over half way there, they would be arriving about 3 hours after us.
We carried on driving, switched radio stations and went through a tunnel, when we came out the phone was ringing again. It was my Nan asking where we were, kind of relieved that she had got hold of us.
My Nan and uncle had already arrived at the camp site. My dad said “ oh so you’re already there, save us a pitch then” and my Nan responded “where have you been, if you’re still on your way”. The conversation didn’t make sense, my dad got frustrated and said “what do you mean where have we been you just spoke to us”.
My nan told us, we’ve been calling you because we couldn’t get hold of you, my step mum pointed to the time on the radio and about 4 hours had passed.
4 hours had passed in 30 seconds, my dad ended the call with my Nan and for a moment we were silent. My sister said what’s going on, my dad said the time must of changed when we changed the radio station and our family was playing a dumb joke.
Our phones showed time had passed, again silence.. we arrived, briefly spoke about it with family and ignored it. We have spoke about it maybe 2-3 times .. my dad is either convinced that we went through a time vortex, got abducted or we were jokingly “drugged by our stepmom” she’s a gp
My stepmom says we must of got the times wrong, or at worst had some shared delusions or amnesia.
Either way, we don’t know what happened.

Yes, I had a lot of time. I originally played this game when it launched during the pandemic and stopped at 1k trophies, and picked it up again ~3 years later. I want to share my thoughts about the last ~15 days while it's still fresh and answer any questions people might have.
I have a 43% win rate in 3600 BR games, and 300+ games with each of the following heroes: Angel, Bastion, Blizzard, Blot, Cyclops, Ghost, Levi, Lynx, Ramsay, Raven, Sparkle, Vi. I have the most fun with Angel, Raven, Ramsay, and Lynx.
I've unlocked every hero except Alice, paid for Blizzard and Vi.

Trophy Tiers

Broadly speaking, the percentage of poor players decreases as you gain higher trophies. Being completely honest, I saw a bunch of mistakes made by enemies, teammates, and myself at 9k trophies. At 10k+ trophies, most of the mistakes I see are my own.

Low Tier: <3k

I have a second account on an old phone at this tier that I use to play under powered / rarely used heroes in casual games. It's mostly bots and occasional humans with rudimentary gameplay.

Mid Tier: 3-7k

People are still misplaying all the time, but in general are improving and trying to coordinate as a team. Pickup teams are pretty easy to create and people are generally friendly. Honestly, I probably had the most fun at this tier since I enjoy playing the game casually with a variety of heroes and different team compositions (vs trying to win all the time).
There's still plenty of bots in offpeak hours.

High Tier: >7k

This is the first tier where it starts to get competitive. Relatedly, this is also the first tier I started seeing bad manners and griefing.
Early on when I was around 2k, I teamed up with some high trophy players and played in 10k games. That's when I learned first hand how much faster and aggressive the game was. On certain maps (Bank, Village, Hotel), fights will often initiate after picking up ~2 items.
As for bad manners, I'm used to it from playing plenty of other online games but enjoyed the fact that Bullet Echo largely doesn't have it. However at 7k+, now you get a lot of people bm'ing when they kill you, if two people fight over an item, etc. It most commonly manifests as sprays/stickers, but also a lot of head shaking and the occasional teamkill grenade for taking "their" item.
Pickup teams are a lot more mercenary. People join up, and if the team loses most will leave; there's little to no chat banter anymore. If someone misplays a few times, they often get kicked from the team, the team is disbanded, and/or they get defriended. This, uhh, has totally never happened to me.

10k

The "end game." Heroes' power typically ranges 1650 - 2200 (Ultimate level 70 to Immortal), with the occasional Divine player. There's relatively few bots during peak times.
The games are fast and brutal, and any small mistake is quickly exploited. My winrate has dropped significantly even when playing my better characters, but I'm learning. Pre-10k, I'd typically open 3x battle and skull chests under 30 minutes. Now, opening battle/skull chests and winning contracts has become significantly harder.

Bravery Road

I don't have any experience with this tier since I lack Divine heroes. Others have shared that it's mostly full of bots.

Heroes

Tier List

This is based on 9k+ trophy BR in the hands of a good player:

• S: Vi, Lynx, Mirage, Arnie
• A: Blizzard, Ramsay, Raven, Dragoon, Angel, Freddie
• B: Firefly, Shenji, Ghost, Alice, Leviathan, Hurricane, Satoshi, Sparkle, Tess, Levi
• C: Blot, Bertha, Doc, Cyclops, Slayer
• D: Bastion, Stalker, Smog

Hero Investment

First off, invest in heroes that you enjoy playing regardless of tier lists. If you want recommendations for <7k gameplay, here's my list:

• Vi, Lynx: A class in most game modes and high tier effectiveness.
• Levi: she is A class for koth (camp and use ability in the final 1v1), and a solid B class in multiple modes: farming bots, sabo, low-mid tier BR. Satoshi is a good alternative.
• Bastion: he is A class for low-mid tier Bsabo/bot farming, and B class for low-mid koth. Don't get too attached though because his effectiveness drops off a cliff at 7k+ (more below).
• Hurricane: shotgunner with a shield and high tier effectiveness.
• Firefly/Blot: Blot's easier to learn snipers and farm bots/sabo in a more campy store, while Firefly has a higher skill ceiling and a more aggressive sniper.
• Ghost: He's probably the easiest SMG to learn with his cloak ability. Angel is better for long term usability and bot farming, but requires better map awareness and teammate coordination.

That's at least one hero per class (for contracts and gameplay variety), but a heavy bias towards Skytech faction because of all the shields.

Bastion

Bastion is great for bot farming and low / mid tier gameplay, but is easily outplayed in 7k+ games. I had a bunch of mid tier Bastion friends that I invited to 7k+ games and they've always left after a few games due to being outplayed.
Outplaying Bastion is usually done through kiting or baiting and flanking with teammates since their range is too short and movement speed is too slow. Bastion (and Blot to an extent) is outclassed by more mobile shield heroes: Angel, Hurricane, Satoshi.
Leviathan gets a special call out since his turret is great for zoning and has extended spray that can be abused to hit behind walls.

Grenade Users (Firefly/Shenji/Sparkles/Freddie)

Pre-10k, most of these are terrible nade spammers hoping to get an easy kill. I've seen so many Firefly users use more nades than bullets in a round, adding little value chucking nades into thin air. Shenji users, please use your nades to zone the enemies and less about trying to kill them. Also stop burning the grass because you can, especially when you're up against snipers.

Vi

My win rate with Vi is significantly higher than the rest of the field, which shows how broken she is. I think she needs to be nerfed, and she's my most played and highest leveled character (Stellar).
I also have some bad experiences after teaming up with a bunch of Vi-only tryhards (about 6-8 different teammates for 5+ games each). They're generally incredibly aggressive and good at racking up a high kill count, but often lack map awareness or team dynamics besides spamming, "Let's go!"

Tips

League

Climb as fast as you can, as high as you can since you get more loot per chest depending on your league level, and streaking gets harder the higher you climb in trophies. Bot farming (read below) is the easiest way to streak games and hit the next league level.
I think there is an argument to be made about staying in purple 1. I found it significantly easier to win most of the contracts at purple 1, but I was grouped with all the other grinders once I hit purple 2. This might be a red herring though.

• Long term the limitations are: nuts, drone resources, personal gear copies
• Gold, batteries, and 💵 currency (to an extent) is relatively abundant.
• There is a limit to watching ads per 8-12 hr period. If you're going to grind, save the ad watching for 2x battle/skull chests.
• Hero cards are distributed evenly over obtained heroes. My Supreme Shenji, Mythic Levitation, and a dozen Rare and Epic heroes all have enough cards to upgrade to Ultimate level 70 (my average level across all heroes). Recently obtained characters will appear more often in battle/skull chests until they reach the average number of cards across all heroes. My most recently unlocked hero—Mirage—is already at Ultimate level 70 in less than a week despite giving her 0 jokers. This probably means we're going to see a lot more Vi's in low/mid tier games.

Spending Money

Contracts

• 7 day contract hacks (and assuming you have enough time to grind) is the most effective use of money.
• Consistently winning the 21 hr contract for 300 jokers is critical.
• 3 hr contract (particularly in off hours) can be pretty easy to win for 20 jokers.
• Read the contracts carefully. Often you can use a hero to progress against 2 or more contracts simultaneously.
• Bot farming and SvS is usually the easiest way to quickly get contract points.
• Ghost in koth is a great way to grind "The Collector" contract.
• A lot of people in the top 3 will try to snipe the contract in the final hours. You can check their profile to see if they're online and contract leaderboard if their scores are increasing. I've lost a lot of sleep defending my #1 spot in the 2 day and 1 week contracts.
• I've given up on winning contracts and buying contract hacks anymore since the 10k games are significantly harder and I'm burnt out.

Star Pass

• I don't mind spending $15 to get the new hero via the base pass, but I don't think the premium pass is worth it.
• I didn't get tiers 2 and 3 for Vi but still got her to Stellar with a lot of grinding via contract hacks and jokers.

Technology

It's $10/mo. You get a random hero motivated and 8 drone plugins (2 of each color) per week, and 10 tech tokens/day. 70 tech tokens/week is enough to get drone blueprints, 2xpersonal gears boxes, some squad gear, 500 nuts, and 5 costume tokens. Also your name is highlighted in gold.
I think it's great for the first month or two for the personal gear and drone parts, but not sure if it's worth keeping afterwards.

Bots

Recognizing bots means you can adapt your strategy when playing with and against them.

Identification

Pre-game

• in the same bot syndicates: CCCP, Botsavethequeen, 486DX, etc
• are listed after human players
• don't have drones
• never play as the newer characters: Blizzard, Vi, Shenji, Ramsay, Lynx, Tess

You start recognizing the bot names after a few hundred games.

In game

• immediately opens chests
• goes in a straight line while swinging their flashlight, humans tend to run with their flashlight facing forward except when checking corners
• doesn't use any abilities

Farming (BR, SvS, sabo, koth)

Bot farming is a great way to hit the streak for a league jump or grind for festival tokens.
I find sabo, SvS, and sometimes arcade in offpeak hours (or other region's servers) the easiest modes for bot farming.
Generally bots will collect a few items and start roaming looking for enemies. If a firefight ensues, the bots will start swarming towards noise like zombies.
The best characters to farm bots are those that can do a lot of damage without taking any themselves. Since bots will run in a straight line towards you, assault rifles and snipers excel at bot farming.

• Recommended heroes: Bastion, Satoshi, Blot, Hurricane, Levi, Firefly, Blizzard, Cyclops
• Not recommended: Ghost/Stalker (bots are unaffected by cloak), Slayer (fire rate is too slow), SMG users (can't reload fast enough when swarmed)

As teammates

It sucks to get bots as teammates, but if you understand their behavior you can take advantage of it to try and win the round.

• don't get sucked into unnecessary fights, let them die and don't bother reviving
• use them as dumb scouts to flank the enemy
• treat the round as a training exercise on how to win one-vs-many fights. It'll happen more and more often as you climb trophies

Drones

• medpro is great for tanks, assault rifles, and attacking SMGs (Angel, Alice, Freddie, Ghost)
• zenith is great for snipers, Raven/Ghost, 10k+ games
• guard is useless except for the occasional ability to zone enemies

Zenith gets increasingly valuable in 7k+ games as you never have time to revive and/or enemies will camp dead bodies. Zenith's ability to revive through walls can also be exploited.

In game tactics

This is already a long post, so I'll brain dump common improvements / mistakes that I come across. Feel free to ask questions in the comments.

• Don't be greedy and go after risky upgrades/chests. More often than not you're going to get sucked into an early fight. Even if you win that one, you'll quickly get swarmed by bots and/or other teams. It's not worth losing a round because you might get a purple upgrade. Even if you win the fight with only one downed teammate, they're unlikely to be revived in 7k+ games because everyone nades/camps the drones/bodies so you end up permanently hampered being down a teammate or flanked and wiped trying to revive.
• Don't be greedy for early ammo and upgrades. In 7k+ games, fights can/will happen by the time you've picked up 1-2 items. Taking multiple ammo means losing an effective teammate that can shoot a weapon. If you're a low ammo user (e.g. Vi, Slayer, Bastion), opt for a 2x or 3x ammo pack and leave the 4x ammo pack for high ammo users (e.g. SMGs, assault rifles). Leave and ping optimal upgrades for teammates. This means reserving scopes for snipers, armor for machine gunners, extended magazine for SMG/shotgunners, explosive ammo for DPS.
• Shotgun users should heal at spawn and save the armor pickup for others.
• Generally stick together as a team.
• Don't follow suiciders (bots/humans) and get sucked into unnecessary fights, preferring to fight 2v3v3v3. Yes this conflicts with the above bullet point.
• Learn the map. This means knowing where are the spawns, purple chests, hot zones, and choke points. This means you can anticipate where you'll need to slow down and prepare for a fight (e.g. early game near purple chests between two spawns). In low/mid tiers, human teammates often run straight for a neighboring spawn while completely ignoring the safe purple chest right behind them because they run straight ahead in the direction they were facing when spawned. I find it easiest to familiarize myself with maps by using heroes with high vision like snipers (particularly Lynx) and Raven.
• Develop map awareness. You can tell who is left based on the gun sounds and the weapon in kill notifications. Generally avoid fights with many teams remaining, and go after the last two teams as they're fighting. If machine gunners are remaining, try to find open spaces. If snipers are remaining, try to initiate fights near corners and obstacles. In low/mid tiers, human teammates will often emulate bots and run straight towards the fight with a complete lack of map awareness.
• Good Shenji users use grenades to zone enemies rather than outright damage. Bad Shenji users kill their teammates / prevent them from being useful. If you're playing with a Shenji teammate, expect that they're going to nade everything and act accordingly.
• Tess users should try to use the lightning ball judiciously against enemy shields or to zone, and not disable their teammates' shields and abilities.
• Cyclops/Raven users should not spam their skill early game, and used selectively late game. It gives away your position and in high tier games only invites unwanted attention (weak teams run away and strong teams run/dash/jump towards the scan). Learn to use scan offensively and defensively when appropriate. At higher trophies, it can be used as a feint for an invasion or to lure enemies into a trap.
• Deployed drones can be used as a ward to protect blind spots.
• SMG users should use stimpacks offensively rather than only to heal.
• Be careful about any teammate or enemy that jiggles constantly or spams the jump ability/sound. It's usually a skilled, high apm player with Mirage/Arnie/Dragoon. Your blind spots are not safe.
• There is a time to initiate and time to fall back. In early/mid tiers, people need to learn to retreat more often (and communicate it to their teammates). Don't attack that unsuspecting enemy just because you can, but attack if it's the right time to do so (e.g. the team is in the right place, the enemy team is caught off guard/still recovering from their last fight).

But, sinarili ko lang yun lahat. I just started na magsabi nung time na nakapanganak na ko at sobrang gulo na. Believe me, I endured too much because I want to keep him and I badly wanted to have a complete family kasi yun ang dream ko eh, magkaroon ng buo at masayang pamilya.

I’ve been feeling really inferior to the rest of my peers because I feel like my mental health has only been getting worse ever since starting ns but my friends all seem like they’re used to it and I’m the only one who isn’t able to adapt. I’ve tried talking to superiors about being overly anxious and stressed when I went to my new camp 2 months ago, but my PC simply said stuff like it’s normal you just take time to adjust. But throughout this two months I’ve just spiralled down and became more and more stressed and sad. At the end of the first part of the course, my PC even said a joke about “people saying they can’t make it at the start”.
I’m also very scared to go and rsi as the second part to my course starts tomorrow and I’m worried everyone thinks I’m trying to chao keng. But honestly it’s gotten to the point where I’m affecting my family and friends negatively and the whole weekend I just have no energy to do anything and I’m just thinking about what will happen in camp the next week. I’ve also had thoughts about injuring myself and worsening my current injuries in order to get more status and excuses.
If I go and see the camp MO, will declaring thoughts of self injury result in me going to IMH and will this have any negative impacts on my future? Thanks so much

I am pretty sure that is most of them, think I'll get at least a 4 on the rest of my APs feel confident so far, GPA tanked because of some family issues that year and this year, but anyways I plan to get into a Biomedical Science program and get my PhD and get into med school, getting into Emergency Sciences. I really want to get into an impressive school, but I cannot apply for the FASFA due to my parents being undocumented. Currently a Junior at a pretty big school, plan to be in more clubs next year but yeah. I was hoping to look into being an International Student in Germany or Spain, but I am not sure into how I want to look into that. I am worried about all of the rumors of how most countries are not how they seem (never been out of the country so I don't mean to be insensitive) and I want an affordable tuition. I was also looking into the University of Rochester in NY where my brother went, or University of Washington. I really don't want to stay in-state (AZ), but I fear I will have to go to U of A or NAU. Any ideas of places I can go where I have a chance to get into?

So I’m looking for a fic where Dany is aged up by 3-5 years and instead of marrying Khal Drogo Daenerys is kidnapped by a rival Khalasar and marries the son of the Khal who is more age appropriate than Drogo. And their wedding night turns out more like what Gisla and Rollo from Vikings went through, although Daenerys doesn’t threaten him, with her new spouse falling asleep when he takes her outdoors before they can consummate their new marriage.
In general though, I’m looking for a fic that portrays the Dothraki in a better light because honestly I hate the way GRR Martin just portrays them as stereotypical misogynistic barbarians. It feels like an insult to their real life counterparts the Mongols.
I know that sounds weird but if you watched Crashcourse or read Genghis Khan and the making of the modern world you will know where I’m coming from. If not then give me a moment to explain.
Now while the Mongols were pretty brutal conquerors during the Pax Mongolica various faiths were tolerated, trade flourished, and science and art was revitalized. And despite what most people think, women were not mistreated in Mongol society. In fact they were pretty important in Mongol society. In addition to homemaking, they were in charge of running the camp and protecting and taking care of the livestock.
So in short does anyone know of any fics that show the Dothraki as being more than ruthless warriors? And where Daenerys learns more than homemaking and love making, like Queen Boraqchin?
