The concept of Al-A’raf occupies a fascinating and thought-provoking space within Islamic eschatology, the study of the afterlife. It manifests in two ways: as the title of the seventh chapter (Surah) of the Holy Quran and as a potential waystation for souls on the Day of Judgement. Delving into the rich tapestry of Quranic verses and scholarly interpretations, we can explore the multifaceted nature of Al-A’raf.
1. Surah Al-A’raf: A Foundation for Understanding
The Surah itself, titled “Al-A’raf” (The Heights), lays the groundwork for the concept’s eschatological significance. Composed of 206 verses, this Meccan Surah (revealed before the Prophet Muhammad’s migration to Medina) covers a diverse range of topics including the creation stories of Adam and humanity (Quran 7:11-24), messages to previous prophets like Moses (Quran 7:143-158), and the importance of unwavering monotheism (Quran 7:59-64).
Crucially, within this Surah, we find the first mention of Al-A’raf as a specific location. Verses 46 and 47 introduce the concept:
These verses paint a picture of Al-A’raf as a dividing barrier separating Paradise (Jannah) and Hellfire (Jahannam). The inhabitants on this partition recognize the dwellers of both Jannah and Jahannam by their distinct markings.
2. Al-A’raf in Islamic Eschatology: A Place of Waiting?
The Quran doesn’t provide extensive details about Al-A’raf’s inhabitants or its exact function. However, scholars have drawn upon various hadiths (sayings of the Prophet) to elaborate on this concept. Many interpretations depict Al-A’raf as a purgatory-like state for those whose good and bad deeds have equal weight, preventing them from immediate entry into either Paradise or Hellfire.
The Quran itself hints at this possibility. In Surah Al-Baqarah, Allah (SWT) states:
This verse underscores Allah’s meticulous accounting of both good and bad deeds. If a person’s deeds are perfectly balanced, Al-A’raf could serve as a temporary holding place until a final judgement is made.
3. Potential Inhabitants of Al-A’raf: The Quran and Hadiths
Hadiths offer some insights into those who might dwell in Al-A’raf. Here are some possibilities:
  • Those with Balanced Deeds: According to a hadith narrated by Sahih al-Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “There will be people whose deeds are evenly balanced (between good and bad) on the Day of Judgement. They will be admitted to Al-A’raf until Allah judges between them.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith: 6531)
  • Neglect of Obligatory Duties: Another hadith, narrated by Musnad Ahmad, suggests that those who neglected obligatory duties but performed good deeds might find themselves in Al-A’raf. (Musnad Ahmad, Hadith: 17025) This aligns with the Quranic emphasis on fulfilling one’s religious obligations (Quran 2:43).
  • Martyrs Defending Family or Property: Some hadiths mention that individuals who died defending their families or property might also reside in Al-A’raf. (Sunan an-Nasa’i, Hadith: 4052) This resonates with the Quran’s message of protecting life and property (Quran 5:32).
4. Al-A’raf: A Temporary Abode or a Final Destination?
The Quran remains silent on the duration of a soul’s stay in Al-A’raf. However, some hadiths suggest it’s a temporary state. A hadith narrated by Sahih Muslim describes the inhabitants of Al-A’raf eventually interceding for those in Hellfire, implying their eventual departure (Sahih Muslim describes the inhabitants of Al-A’raf eventually interceding for those in Hellfire, implying their eventual departure (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2901). Ultimately, Allah’s infinite mercy may allow them to enter Paradise based on their good deeds or through the intercession of prophets and righteous people.
The Quran also offers verses that hint at the possibility of redemption from Al-A’raf:
  • Surah Al-Zumar (The Troops), verse 53: “Say, ‘O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.’”
This verse emphasizes Allah’s vast capacity for forgiveness, suggesting that even those who might initially reside in Al-A’raf due to transgressions could eventually be granted entry into Paradise through sincere repentance and Allah’s mercy.
5. Al-A’raf and Comparative Religion: A Look at Similarities and Differences
The concept of Al-A’raf bears some resemblance to the Christian idea of purgatory, a place of purification before entering heaven. However, there are key distinctions. Purgatory is generally considered a fixed stage in the Christian afterlife, while Al-A’raf’s purpose and duration remain open to interpretation within Islam. Additionally, the concept of intercession plays a more prominent role in Islamic eschatology, with prophets and righteous people potentially advocating for those in Al-A’raf.
6. Conclusion
The concept of Al-A’raf serves as a reminder of the complexity of divine judgement and the vastness of Allah’s mercy. While details remain open to interpretation, the concept underscores the importance of striving for good deeds throughout one’s life. By living a life aligned with Islamic principles, we increase our chances of attaining Allah’s pleasure and a blissful hereafter.
Call to Action
For further exploration, consider delving deeper into the Quran and hadiths on the Day of Judgement and the importance of righteous actions. May Allah guide us all on the straight path and grant us a place in Jannah.

2024.05.13 22:33 Fun-Appeal-4703 Islam is Love. But Respect all Religions

Islam, as a religion, is founded on the principles of love, compassion, and mercy. The essence of Islam lies in promoting peace, kindness, and understanding towards all human beings, regardless of their background or beliefs. The teachings of Islam emphasize the importance of treating others with respect and dignity, regardless of their faith or cultural differences.
One of the fundamental principles of Islam is the concept of "rahma" or mercy. This mercy is not limited to Muslims alone but extends to all of humanity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself exemplified this mercy in his dealings with people of different faiths and backgrounds. He showed kindness and compassion to all, regardless of their beliefs, and emphasized the importance of treating others with respect and fairness.
Islam also emphasizes the importance of coexisting peacefully with people of different faiths. The Quran instructs Muslims to "invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best" (Surah An-Nahl, 16:125). This verse highlights the importance of engaging in respectful dialogue with people of differing beliefs and viewpoints, in a manner that is both compassionate and understanding.
Respecting other religions is another important aspect of Islamic teachings. The Quran states, "There is no compulsion in religion" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:256), emphasizing the freedom of choice in matters of faith. Islam encourages believers to interact with people of other faiths in a spirit of mutual respect and understanding, while also upholding their own beliefs and values.
It is crucial for Muslims to actively promote interfaith dialogue and cooperation, in order to foster mutual understanding and respect among people of different religious backgrounds. By building bridges and creating meaningful relationships with individuals of diverse faith traditions, Muslims can work towards promoting peace, harmony, and cooperation in our increasingly diverse and interconnected world.
In conclusion, Islam teaches love, compassion, and respect towards all human beings, regardless of their background or beliefs. It is essential for Muslims to embody these principles in their interactions with others, and to promote a spirit of understanding and tolerance towards people of different faiths. By upholding these values, Muslims can contribute to creating a more peaceful and harmonious society based on mutual respect and cooperation.

2024.05.13 10:26 Suspicious-Row-3614 Unveiling the Depths of Surah Al-An'am: A Majestic Tapestry of Creation, Faith, and the Hereafter

Unveiling the Depths of Surah Al-An'am: A Majestic Tapestry of Creation, Faith, and the Hereafter
https://preview.redd.it/zssl8w4cm50d1.png?width=623&format=png&auto=webp&s=4817fe71918b9ce64d0b84127b9dc6127692b115
Surah Al-An’am, the sixth chapter of the Holy Quran, unfolds like a majestic tapestry, woven with profound messages on creation, faith, and the Hereafter. While its title translates to “The Cattle” in English, referencing verses that address specific practices of the pre-Islamic Arabs, the Surah’s essence transcends these details, offering a wealth of guidance for all of humanity.
A Clarion Call to Monotheism (Tawhid):
From the very beginning, Surah Al-An’am establishes the cornerstone of Islamic faith – Tawhid, the absolute oneness of Allah (SWT). The opening verses (1-3) resonate with powerful praise for Allah (SWT), the Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Verse 163 leaves no room for ambiguity: “Say, ‘He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge.’” The Surah dismantles the concept of polytheism, urging humanity to recognize Allah (SWT) as the sole creator and sustainer of all existence (verse 19). It critiques those who associate partners with Allah (SWT), reminding them, “Have you not seen those who invent another deity besides Allah? They produce no evidence. And indeed, Allah is the Witness over all things.” (verse 116)
Witnesses to the Divine: Signs in Creation (Ayat):
Surah Al-An’am invites us to embark on a journey of reflection through the wonders of creation. These wonders serve as undeniable signs (Ayat) of Allah’s (SWT) power and majesty. The intricate design of the natural world, from the vast expanse of the sky (verse 75) to the delicate balance of ecosystems (verse 38), are all meticulously crafted by Allah (SWT). The alternation of day and night (verse 96), the provision of sustenance through rain (verse 99), and the very breath we take (verse 122) are all testaments to His infinite wisdom and mercy.
Messengers as Beacons of Guidance:
The Surah underscores the importance of messengers sent by Allah (SWT) to guide humanity. It recounts the story of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), a powerful example of unwavering faith in one God. Verses 74-83 detail his struggle against idolatry, his unwavering conviction in Allah (SWT), and his willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to the Divine command (though ultimately Allah (SWT) provided a substitute). This narrative serves as a reminder that true faith demands complete submission to the will of Allah (SWT).
The chapter also emphasizes the significance of the Quran as divine revelation. Verse 91 declares, “And upon you We have revealed the Book [the Quran] in truth, a clarification of all things and as guidance and mercy for the believers.” The Quran is presented as a source of truth, dispelling doubts and uncertainties, and providing a roadmap for a righteous life.
Preparing for the Inevitable: The Hereafter:
Surah Al-An’am reminds us of the impermanence of this worldly life in contrast to the eternal reality of the Hereafter. Verse 32 states, “The worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?” The chapter emphasizes that this worldly life is a test, and our actions have lasting consequences. Verses like 128 and 130 warn against the allurements of the temporary world and urge us to focus on preparing for the Day of Judgement. The Surah emphasizes the importance of good deeds (verse 160) and faith (verse 158) as provisions for the eternal journey.
Beyond the Verses: A Call to Action:
Surah Al-An’am is not merely a collection of verses; it is a call to action. It compels us to:
  • Recognize and appreciate the signs of Allah (SWT) in creation.
  • Embrace Tawhid and reject all forms of polytheism.
  • Follow the guidance of the messengers, especially Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
  • Live a life guided by the Quran’s teachings.
  • Prepare for the Hereafter through righteous deeds and unwavering faith.
This powerful Surah offers timeless wisdom for navigating the complexities of life and achieving success in both this world and the Hereafter. By delving into its verses, Muslims and non-Muslims alike can gain a deeper understanding of the Divine, the wonders of creation, and the purpose of human existence.

Ramai jutawan ternama tanah air join 4am Club ni.
Mohon sungguh-sungguh, usaha betul-betul, InsyaAllah suatu masa Allah makbulkan semua doa.
Sekecil apa pun rezeki kamu, syukurilah.

(Riwayat al-Baihaqi)

2024.05.11 23:23 AbuW467 I Want to Worship But I Can't Concentrate...

So attaining Taqwa is the goal and it is the advice of Allah, the Most High, for those nations that were sent before and also with the latter nations. So if someone prays and he doesn’t have Taqwa in his heart but only does the actions without having humility in his body, then he misses out on the purpose and sweetness of that action.
So he may give in Zakaat as a ritual, but in his heart he hasn’t paid it any attention, he doesn’t intend by it to purify himself and his wealth, he doesn’t intend to help others. If this is the case then it is like he just given away his money without benefiting from it at all.
If one intends to fast and doesn’t have a firm sense of Taqwa within himself, meaning he doesn’t stay away from what is Haraam or to do what is Waajib, then he has gained nothing except starvation and thirst. Likewise, when most people pray, they stand in front of Allaah and despite the status of as-Salaah being so high, they return home just like they left it. They leave their houses intending to a Waajib action and they return to their homes eating Haram. It’s like that they haven’t benefited from their Salaah at all. And in origin, as-Salah prevents us from this:
Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) prevents from Al-Fahsha' (i.e. great sins of every kind, unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.) and Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism, and every kind of evil wicked deed, etc.) [Al-Ankaboot 29:45] This is divine information, a piece of information that cannot be incorrect or have a lie within it,
And who is truer in statement than Allah? [an-Nisaa 4:87] So the person himself is to blame. He prays but doesn’t pray the way the Prophet [Peace and Blessings of Allaah be Upon him] prayed, as he said “Pray as you have seen me pray.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaaree (6705)] (i.e. with humility and submission)
Likewise we see people during Ramadan, they eat, they pray Fajr, sometimes they don’t even do that, then they sleep the length of the day until Maghrib. Is this the fasting that is prescribed? …that you may become Al-Muttaqun… [al-Baqarah 2:183] They miss praying their obligatory Salawaat during the day and they think this is what is required from them?
Likewise we some people stay in the masjid in I’tikaaf and instead of benefiting from this time to get close to Allaah, to abandon the Dunyaa, we’ve seen some people enter the Masjid with newspapers to help keep themselves occupied!? What does he gain from I’tikaaf? Has he got closer to Allaah, the Almighty? And as soon as ash-Shawwal has been announced, he’s gone. By Maghrib he’s praying in his home!? So what’s the cure to all of this?
Ibn al-Qayyim [May Allaah have Mercy on him] has given over twenty ways and causes. He states that the sickness of the heart is like the sickness of a dead person. So what is incumbent upon this person is to seek to bring his heart alive in his Salaah, in his Dua’a, in the time he recites Qur’aan, in his Dhikr and if he misses out on all of this then it is as if his heart is closed, locked away from goodness.
How many recite the Quraan and they don’t know what they are reciting and when they stop, they don’t know where they have stopped in the Qur’aan? How many people whiz through the pages and have not contemplated even on one Aayah. How many people recite from Yoonus (Surah 10) to Yoosuf (Surah 12) and their hearts have not trembled, despite the Prophet saying, “Hood (Surah 11) and it’s sisters have made my hair turn grey” [al-Silsilat al-Saheehah (2/679)]. So this affair is not something to be taken lightly and it requires a great deal of attention. People are wasteful in their times, in this bodies, in their manners, in their food and in their sleep. If food is placed in front of some people, he eats as if he is about to die. As if it’s his last meal.
I don’t say that people should be like Imaam an-Nawawee [May Allaah have Mercy on him] - do not sleep on your bed except rarely. Most often than not, he would fall asleep doing some act of worship and when he wakes, he would continue, such as reciting the Quraan or Dhikr or on his desk whilst writing. The religion of Allaah is easy, we are neither extreme nor negligent, but how many people do you see wasting their time? Two, three hours during the night spent on their social lives. They spend time with others in Istiraahah (rest houses) talking about the whole world, whilst not benefiting from what people have talked about at all. You don’t hear any form of Dhikr from them and this even occurs in the sittings of the students of knowledge. And To Allaah I complain.
Shaykh ‘Abdul-Kareem bin ‘Abdullah al-Khudayr [May Allaah Preserve him] Member of Permenant Committee of Senior Scholars and Member of Council of Senior Scholars Jaami’ Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan ar-Raajihi, Shibrah, ar-Riyadh 17/11/1433 – 3/10/2012 Translated by Ariff Olla وفقه الله

2024.05.11 11:39 Additional-Taro-1400 Islam, the Torah and Injeel

So I had a discussion with u/WeighTheEvidence2 the other day, and its been on my mind.
So from my understanding, the quran refers Christians/Jews to the injeel and Torah.
We have very good evidence to know exactly what the Jews/Christians had in their posession in the 7th century (the Torah and Gospel we use today). However the quran also specifies that these books were sent down to Moses and Jesus, respectively.
Jews/Christians do not believe they were sent down, but instead, written by the prophets and/or witnesses.
So the argument is that by definition, the quran can't be referring to the Torah or the Gospel that the Jews and Christians had in their possession, during the 7th century. And yes, I do see the sense in this.
So, if they are not the Torah/Gospel that they had in their posession in the 7th century - the following questions need to be considered:
●Which books is the quran referring the Jews and Christians to?
● Do we have any evidence of another 'Torah' or 'injeel' which they had in the 7th century?
●Is there evidence of the 'injeel' from the 1st century? (Happy to consider secondary sources within the 1st and early 2nd century).
The reason these are important to consider, is because this opens up 2 possibilities:
a) the quran is referring to the Torah/Gospel they had in their posession, which both contradict the quran.
b) the quran is referring Jews/Christians to books, that as far as I'm aware, lack evidence of existence. And, were not used by Christians/Jews of the 7th century. This would be illogical.
Please see 3 quran verses below for reference:
Surah Al-Maidah (5:68): "Say, 'O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord.'
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:41): "And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me."
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:89): And when there came to them a Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] from Allāh confirming that which was with them - although before they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieved - but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allāh will be upon the disbelievers.
Cheers lads, appreciate anyone who takes the time to respond.

2024.05.10 14:55 GreedyPersonality390 Best Dua for Husband Success and Health

Best Dua for Husband Success and Health
The dua (a form of intercession) confers the seeker’s mercy, guidance and protection from Allah. It is the medium which Muslim people use to talk to their Creator and wish for and ask for his guidance, healing and mercy. Making dua for the success of one's fellow partner in the part and parcel of marriage and that it is instrumental in the formation of a happy and successful union.
Best Dua for Husband Success
In the life of Islam marriage is a sacred relation and sacred agreement between a man and woman that is built on love, understanding, and cooperation. It is a union that is supposed to provide partners with contentment, joy and a process of evolution. However, in order to succeed in marriage, one’s partner is expected to cooperate and pray for each other’s good life.
For wives, who would like to pray that their husbands is blessed in their efforts, there are many dua that they can recite to Allah in order to seek guidance and blessings. There is no doubt that the most known and strong dua or application for the success of the husband comes with Surah Al-Imran, ayah 26-27. With this dua, the husbands are endowed with provision, safety, and direction in their lives and career.
Best Dua for Husband Success
"O Allah! The Lord of this universe! The Giver of Mercy! The Compassionate! You are the owner of Qiyamat! You are our God whom we worship, and You are that in whom we believeShow us the right way, the one through which You favored them, and the other, which You did not, and the third that was wandering.
This dua is a hint to the husbands asking them to ask Allah for lu. . . . . A consistent recitation of this dua will help wives in asking Holy Allah for His help in order to grant their husbands success and protection from all harm.
In addition, a prayer for the success of husband from Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 286 is another beneficial dua. This dua is purposed for safeguarding husbands against evils as well as blessing them in all walks of their life.
Best Dua for Husband Success "Our Lord!Harden not thy feelings against us if we forget or err; Our Lord!Do not impose on us a duty equal to the duty You had once placed on those before us, O Lord!Place not upon us as much weight as we have the power to carry. We ask you to be merciful and spare us. Have mercy on us. You are ours, O Lord and You protect us with Your Truth against the vicious hearts of the pagan people.
Through this dua's repetition, wives can not only ask Allah for her husband's success, protection, and general well being, but also ask for Him to forgive them, have mercy on them, and to guide them during their hard times.
Along with uttering these duas, wives can also make devoted pleas for their husbands' confidence and career achievements. They may pray for their husbands' wellbeing, satisfaction, an abundance of wealth, and rise in career, but ask Allah to bestow them with prosperity and protection from all the evils.
Best Dua for Husband Success Although dua is not only a kind of formula or act of rituals, it is the genuine and heart-felt communication with Allah. Therefore, it is of prime importance for wives to not forget about this fact. In this regard, women can daily make their dua to Allah with utmost sincerity and seek His blessings and protection for their husbands; this would consequently ensure their success in all walks of life as well.
In general, a wife’s supplication to Allah that her husband succeeds in his affairs is one of the most effective ways for a wife to seek God’s support, guidance, and protection to her marriage. Through repeating certain supplications which are made with a purified heart the wives may call on Allah to help in her husband’s way to achieve success, wealth and happiness. May Allah grant all husbands with success and a flourishing life on both the personal and professional aspects. Ameen.

2024.05.10 11:00 Objective-Cancel-372 Advice

Now we all know that the Quran has some Barakah with it. With that also comes the management of time.
A few days ago I was preparing for my exam, that same day I had also committed some sins. During that night, it took me way longer to study than it usually does and I spent 4 hours on something which should have taken a maximum of 2 hours. This, in my opinion, was Allah punishment for me for committing those sins, as I lost a lot of precious time.
But the days that I read the Quran, after praying Fajr I read the Quran. And in those days my studies and all my work is extremely effective. You may be feeling like that you waste a lot of time by reading Quran for 2 hours everyday, but Quran has so many belssings, when it comes into your life, your life becomes easy. You get closer to Allah. And then all your work becomes manageable. Something that should have taken 2 hours only took 30-60 minutes. This is why the Quran is so important and it should never leave your life.
Benefits of Reading the Holy Quran
  1. Quran Increases your faith in Allah
You’ll become closer to Allah when you read his words and messages. Also, you’ll feel the powerful and exceptional impact of the verses, especially when you understand the meanings behind each verse and read the Quran from the bottom of your heart. So your faith in Allah will boost.
Allah mentioned this benefit in Surah al-Anfal:
The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verses are recited unto them, they increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord (Alone)
Al-Anfaal (8:2).
  1. Reciting the Quran brings Tranquillity
There is an outstanding impact on the heart and soul you’ll find in the Quran, as you’ll feel peace and comfort. The Quran nurtures hearts and souls, eliminates anxiety and doubts, guides you to the right path, and enlightens your heart.
Allah confirms that the Quran is the source of peace and tranquillity in Surah Ar-Ra’ad
{those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort}
Ar-Ra’ad (28:13). Moreover, prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
“No people gather together in one of the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that Sakeenah (Tranquility) descends upon them, and Mercy envelops them, and the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them amongst those who are with him”.
  1. Reciting the Quran brings Deeds
When you read each letter in the Quran, you earn a reward. So, you’ll gain more rewards that increase your scale in the Hereafter. That means the Quran is helpful for you not only in life but in the Hereafter.
Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
Whoever recites a letter of the book of Allah will be credited with a good deed and a good deed is multiplied into ten. I do not say that the word: Alif Laam Meem is counted as a word letter. Rather, Alif is one letter, Laam is one letter and Meem is one letter”.
  1. Quran is the Best Protector for the Reciters
One of the most important benefits you get from reciting the Quran is that saves you from the devil (Satan) once you read Surah Al-Baqqara. Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:”

Furthermore, the Quran will protect you from a false messiah (Dajjal) before Judgement Day if you retain the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf. Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said
Whoever memorized the first ten verses from Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjal”.
Also, the Quran will protect you from the grave’s punishment after death if you recite Surah Al-Mulk, as prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
Read Surah Al-Mulk to protect yourselves from the punishment of the grave”.

If the Quran was to be gathered inside a vessel (heart), Allah will never punish it with Hellfire”.

The biggest wish for any Muslim on Judgement Day is to enter paradise and get protection from the horrors of this day. So, when you recite Allah’s book, you’ll find it an intercessor for you on Judgement Day.

(35:28) Fatir. 8. Double Rewards for Reciting Hardly

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:”
The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels), and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards”.

  1. Health Benefits Of Reciting The Holy Quran Daily
There are many health Benefits Of Reciting The Holy Quran Daily:
A. The Quran is a Cure for Hearts
As the Quran boosts your belief in Allah, it brings mercy and healing to your heart. It removes the illnesses from your heart and purifies it from hypocrisy, jealousy, and vanity.
The Quran makes you more humanitarian, so you’ll find peace and comfort in your life. Allah says in Surah Al-Isra
{we send the Quran as healing and mercy for those who believe}
(17:82). B. The Quran helps you to Overcome Sadness
Many verses in Quran induce believers to put their trust in Allah and rely on him to overcome sadness, as Allah tells us every hardship won’t last forever and ease comes after it:
{For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease}
(94:5-6} Ash-Sharh. 11. The Quran will be Proof for or against Us on the Day of Judgement:
This is due to the statement of the Messenger: “And the Quran is a proof for you or against you.” [Muslim] With this proof, the Book of Allah, one of two things will consequently happen.
The Quran will either work in one’s favour, serving as evidence for us on the Day when we will need every good action possible, or it will work against us. Even the words of our Creator are used as evidence against us! If Allah’s own Speech is against Him, how could anybody be protected from the horrors of that day?
Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, think carefully about your connection with the Quran. Are you disobeying it, going against it, and disregarding its commands and prohibitions? Are you giving it much thought? On the Day of Judgment, will the odds be on your side?
  1. On the Day of Judgment, the Quran will intercede for us:
Abu Umamah may Allah be pleased with him related that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) said:
“Read the Quran, for indeed it will come on the Day of Standing (Judgement) as an intercessor for its companions.” [Muslim]
  1. There are Ten Rewards for Every Letter Recited from the Quran:
As a Hadeeth (prophetic statement) in At-Tirmidhi proves:
“Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah, he will have a reward, and this reward will be multiplied by ten. I am not saying that ‘Alif, Lam, Meem’ (a combination of letters frequently mentioned in the Holy Quran) is a letter, rather I am saying that ‘Alif’ is a letter, ‘Lam’ is a letter, and ‘Meem’ is a letter.”
[At-Tirmithi] To improve your Quranic recitation to acquire these benefits as well as the ones that follow.
  1. The Reciters of the Quran Will Be in the Company of the Noble and Obedient Angels:
‘Aa’ishah related that the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allah exalt his mention ) said:
“Indeed the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. As for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim] 15. The Quran Leads to Paradise:
The Quran states (what means):
“Indeed the Quran guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward.”
[Quran: 17:9] The Prophet said:
“The Quran is an intercessor – something gave permission to intercede, and it is rightfully believed in. Whoever puts it in front of him, it will lead him to Paradise; whoever puts it behind him, it will steer him to the Hellfire.”
[At-Tabarani]
Source: https://bayanulquran-academy.com/benefits-of-reciting-the-quran/
Ibn Mas'ud (RA): “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward.
The Prophet said, "The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."
To the person reading, I hope you are successful in your Islamic journey and overcome all your hardships. I hope that you get closer to Allah and In Sha Allah reach the highest place of Paradise. Ameen.

2024.05.07 23:43 SharpRhyme Writing something for some Al-waez, you guys got any additional points or ways to strengthen my arguement?

Why do ismailis not carry our wudhu when it states in the quran
‘O believers! When you rise up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, wipe your heads, and wash your feet to the ankles.’ Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:6)

Only explanation I could find was we don’t need to do wudhu just purify ourselves ‘esoterically’, which is not what the verse says. The current imam does say to stay clean but he never mandated the obligatory steps from the Quran and that it must be done to enter purification before salat

Why do ismailis not pray in the direction of the direction of the qibla?

"And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it in order that the people will not have any argument against you, except for those of them who commit wrong; so fear them not but fear Me. And [it is] so I may complete My favor upon you and that you may be guided." Surah Al-Baqarah (2:149)

Why do we not stand up and preform sujood?

Ruku in the Quran
*"*Bow down and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful." (Quran 22:77)
"And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]." Quran [2:43]
"And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow." Quran [77:48]
Bowing is not the same as sujood as the Quran differentiates both.
Standing in prayer
"You shall maintain the Salawaat and the Salat Al-Wusta, and stand devoutly obedient before God." 2:238 **"**O you who believe, when you get up to observe the Salat, wash ....... 5:6
So the angels called out to him while he was standing*, praying in the sanctuary: "God gives you news of John, confirming a Word from God He will be honourable and celibate, as well as a prophet, from among the righteous."* 3:39
"We appointed for Abraham the location of the House: "Do not associate anything with Me, and purify My House for those passing by and those standing*, bowing, and prostrating."* 22:26
"And if you are among them and you lead the Salat for them, let a group of them stand with you and let them hold on to their weapons." 4:102

Yet our dua is said sitting down??

Next why do we not preform hajj?
ESOTERIC HAJJ: FROM THE PHYSICAL KA’BAH TO THE LIVING IMAM - https://ismailignosis.com/2015/01/02/esoteric-hajj-from-the-physical-kabah-to-the-living-imam/

Suggests hajj is merely a non obligatory exoteric practice, and we must do didar as our ‘escoteric’ hajj

Evidence from Quran:
“The first House (of worship) appointed for men was that at Bakka: Full of blessing and of guidance for all kinds of beings. In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.” (Surah Al‐e‐Imran, 96-97)

The above verse clearly states that if one can afford the journey, it is a duty among men to make this pilgrimage.

"And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways.” (22:27)

"And complete the Hajj or 'umra in the service of Allah. But if ye are prevented (From completing it), send an offering for sacrifice, such as ye may find, and do not shave your heads until the offering reaches the place of sacrifice. And if any of you is ill, or has an ailment in his scalp, (Necessitating shaving), (He should) in compensation either fast, or feed the poor, or offer sacrifice; and when ye are in peaceful conditions (again), if any one wishes to continue the 'umra on to the hajj, He must make an offering, such as he can afford, but if he cannot afford it, He should fast three days during the hajj and seven days on his return, Making ten days in all. This is for those whose household is not in (the precincts of) the Sacred Mosque. And fear Allah, and know that Allah Is strict in punishment." 2:196

2024.05.07 05:57 Sea-Prompt-318 You ever had a question you didn't know where to seek the answer for?

If you ever wonder anything about the universe or even about a particular person, just ask Allah. Make a dua about it. I ask anything and I get answers in the best way possible. Better than any University or history book.
Allah will answer your questions and maybe use you as a means of teaching others the truth.
Remember this man in surah Al Baqarah 2:259
Or ˹are you not aware of˺ the one who passed by a city which was in ruins. He wondered, “How could Allah bring this back to life after its destruction?” So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years then brought him back to life. Allah asked, “How long have you remained ˹in this state˺?” He replied, “Perhaps a day or part of a day.” Allah said, “No! You have remained here for a hundred years! Just look at your food and drink—they have not spoiled. ˹But now˺ look at ˹the remains of˺ your donkey! And ˹so˺ We have made you into a sign for humanity. And look at the bones ˹of the donkey˺, how We bring them together then clothe them with flesh!”1 When this was made clear to him, he declared, “˹Now˺ I know that Allah is Most Capable of everything.”
Also Prophet Ibrahim AS asked questions, and it looks to be that Allah jokes back with him
And ˹remember˺ when Abraham said, “My Lord! Show me how you give life to the dead.” Allah responded, “Do you not believe?” Abraham replied, “Yes I do, but just so my heart can be reassured.” Allah said, “Then bring four birds, train them to come to you, ˹then cut them into pieces,˺ and scatter them on different hilltops. Then call them back, they will fly to you in haste. And ˹so you will˺ know that Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.” 2:260

Understanding the Prohibition of Interest (Riba) in Islam: A Guide to Ethical Finance

https://preview.redd.it/63983rdhxtyc1.png?width=605&format=png&auto=webp&s=176390255dae5747276b43cc032f76ea168d70e5
The concept of riba, often translated as interest, plays a pivotal role in Islamic finance and economic principles. It goes beyond the simple notion of interest earned on loans and delves into the realm of ethical and equitable financial practices. This article explores the Islamic perspective on riba, its religious basis, and the reasoning behind its prohibition. We’ll also examine how Islamic finance offers alternative financial instruments that adhere to these principles.
THE QURANIC AND PROPHETIC FOUNDATIONS OF RIBA’S PROHIBITION
The core foundation for the prohibition of riba lies within the sacred texts of Islam.
  • The Quran: Several verses explicitly condemn riba, emphasizing its sinful nature and contrasting it with fair trade. The most well-known passages are found in Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow), verses 275-280. These verses warn against riba and liken those who consume it to those inflicted with madness (Quran 2:275).
  • The Hadith: The teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), documented in the Hadith, further solidify the prohibition of riba. These narrations provide specific examples and context for its avoidance.
By drawing upon both the Quran and the Hadith, Muslims establish a clear understanding of riba’s prohibition as a core tenet of their faith.
UNVEILING THE RATIONALE BEHIND THE PROHIBITION
There are several key reasons why Islam prohibits riba:
  • Combating Exploitation: Riba is viewed as an exploitative practice that disproportionately benefits the lender at the expense of the borrower. Fixed interest payments can trap borrowers in a cycle of debt, hindering their ability to achieve financial mobility.
  • Ensuring Fairness and Justice: Islamic economic principles emphasize fairness (adl) and justice (qist) in financial transactions. Riba is seen as an unfair gain that does not reflect the actual value or risk associated with the loan.
  • Promoting Shared Risk and Reward: Islamic finance encourages a profit-sharing model rather than fixed interest. This approach fosters a more equitable distribution of risk and reward between borrower and lender. Both parties share the potential benefits and drawbacks of the investment or business venture.
  • Building a Socially Responsible Economy: The prohibition of riba aims to create a more just and equitable society. By discouraging fixed returns on loans, resources are directed towards productive ventures that create value and benefit the wider community.
DISTINGUISHING RIBA FROM LEGITIMATE PROFIT
It’s crucial to differentiate between riba and legitimate profit earned through trade or investment. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:
  • Riba: A predetermined and fixed return on a loan, regardless of the borrower’s financial performance. The borrower is obligated to pay a set amount of interest irrespective of their profit or loss.
  • Profit: A return based on the actual outcome of an investment or business venture. Both parties involved share the risk and reward. The profit earned is directly tied to the success of the underlying asset or project.
Understanding this distinction is essential for navigating Islamic finance and ensuring transactions comply with Islamic principles.
EXPLORING ISLAMIC ALTERNATIVES TO RIBA
Islamic finance has developed a robust framework of financial instruments that adhere to the prohibition of riba. These instruments promote ethical and responsible financial practices while fostering economic growth. Here are some prominent examples:
  • Musharaka: A profit-sharing partnership where both parties contribute capital and share risks and rewards proportionally based on their investment.
  • Murabaha: A cost-plus financing arrangement. The seller specifies a profit margin on the good sold, and the buyer agrees to purchase it at that price in installments.
  • Ijarah: An Islamic leasing agreement where ownership of the asset remains with the financier. The user pays a pre-determined rental fee for the right to use the asset for a specific period.
These are just a few examples of the innovative financial instruments offered by Islamic finance. Each instrument is designed to fulfill a specific financial need while adhering to the core principles of Islamic law.

2024.05.04 16:32 Time-Efficiency-6573 Muslim arguments for Georgism Do you think Islam and Georgism are compatible?

Verses from Quran: To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him ˹alone˺ is the everlasting devotion. Will you then fear any other than Allah?(Surah An-Nahl-52)
Surely to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. Surely Allah's promise is ˹always˺ true, but most of them do not know.(Surah Yunus-55)
To Allah ˹alone˺ belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. He forgives whoever He wills, and punishes whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.(Surah Ali 'Imran-129)
Then We made you successors in the land after them so that We may observe how you will do.(Surah Yunus-14)
It is clearly seen in these verses that everything on earth and in the sky belongs to Allah and is His property. However, the right of use was left to the human being as an heir. Since it is his property, he determines how we will use it, and he must also have sent us a user manual, here is the book and the messenger. Do people think they will be left without purpose?(Surah Al Qiyamah-36)
Ayah al-Baqarah (The Cow) 2:188. Do not consume one another's wealth unjustly, nor deliberately bribe authorities in order to devour a portion of others' property, knowing that it is a sin.
This verse can be said to be the most important evidence. Air, water, soil (including underground resources) were not produced by anyone. Therefore, no one has the right to surround a piece of water or land that belongs to everyone and say that it is mine. May compensate the community for the right to use it or may become public property directly. Everyone's property must not be used for the benefit of a minority this is injustice(prohibited). The Quran clearly draws attention to landowners who bribe officials for that and says that this is a great sin.Today, lobbying the government to protect the monopoly and claiming privilage of landowners is prohibited. It is forbidden to bribe politicians for all this
Indeed, Allah commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allah instructs you. Indeed, Allah is ever and Seeing.(Surah An Nisa-58)
Indeed, Allah commands justice, grace, as well as generosity to close relatives. He forbids indecency, wickedness, and aggression. He instructs you so perhaps you will be mindful.(Surah An Nahl-90)
Bonus hadith: Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said:
الْمُسْلِمُونَ شُرَكَاءُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ فِي الْمَاءِ وَالْكَلَإِ وَ النَّارِ
“Muslims have three things in common: Water, pasture and fire. (Sunan Abu Dawood(It is considered a reliable source by Sunni Muslims.))
Mentioning these three things in the hadith does not imply any limitation. However, it is a type of expression made through analogy. The verdict of these three things; It also applies to things that can be easily obtained and used. For example; Many entities such as oil, gas, minerals, salt, matches, tar, rivers, seas, lakes, stones, trees in forests, wood, charcoal, fish in the seas, wild birds, pastures and solar energy are subject to the rule of water, fire and pasture. . Unveiling the Hour: Exploring the Signs of the Day of Judgement in Islam

https://preview.redd.it/963tuxy0pmxc1.png?width=759&format=png&auto=webp&s=cea9a0e4969d4a370c556acfc09781468ca9fad6
The concept of the Day of Judgement (Yawm al-Qiyāmah) occupies a central space within Islamic eschatology. Muslims believe in a final reckoning where humanity will be judged by Allah (God) based on their deeds in this life. While the exact timing of this momentous event remains unknown, Islamic traditions offer insights through various signs that may precede it. These signs are categorized as minor and major, providing a framework for understanding the approaching Hour.
Minor Signs: Subtle Shifts in the World’s Fabric
The minor signs are believed to be gradual transformations occurring over time, encompassing a wide range of social, political, and environmental changes. The Quran and Hadith offer glimpses into these subtle shifts:
  • Moral Decline: A World Adrift: The Quran paints a poignant picture of potential moral decline as a sign: “And when immorality is widespread…” (Surah Ar-Rum, 41). Hadiths from Sahih Bukhari (7097) and Sahih Muslim (2602) elaborate on this theme, suggesting an increase in adultery, obscenity, breaking of family ties, and the abandonment of religious knowledge as signs of the approaching Hour. These warnings serve as a call to Muslims to uphold moral values and strengthen their faith in a world increasingly drifting away from them.
  • Technological Marvels: A Double-Edged Sword: While not explicitly mentioned as a sign, some scholars interpret certain Quranic verses about advancements in travel and communication (Surah An-Naba, 20) as foreshadowing the technological progress witnessed in the modern world. However, these advancements can be a double-edged sword. The Quran reminds us in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 164: “And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.” The focus then shifts to the importance of navigating these advancements with faith and using them for good.
  • Natural Disasters: A Reminder of Our Fragility: The Quran mentions earthquakes and other natural disasters (Surah Al-Zalzalah, 1-8) as phenomena that may occur before the Day of Judgement. However, Islamic scholars caution against interpreting every natural disaster as a sign of the approaching end. These events serve as a reminder of our fragility and dependence on Allah’s mercy.
Major Signs: Harbingers of a New Dawn
The major signs are believed to be more dramatic and transformative events that signify the nearness of the Day of Judgement. References to these signs are found in both the Quran and Hadith:
  • The Dajjal (The False Messiah): A Deceptive Figure: The Quran doesn’t explicitly mention the Dajjal, but Hadiths from Sahih Bukhari (Vol. 4, Book 52, Hadith 189) and Sahih Muslim (Hadith 7002) describe a deceptive figure who will appear before the Day of Judgement, claiming to be a prophet and performing miracles to mislead people. These Hadiths offer detailed descriptions of the Dajjal’s physical appearance and his deceptive tactics, warning believers to be vigilant and steadfast in their faith.
  • The Descent of Isa (Jesus) عليه السلام : A Beacon of Hope: The Quran (Surah An-Nisa, 159) and Hadiths (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 52, Hadith 181) prophesy the descent of Jesus (Isa) عليه السلام before the Day of Judgement. He will come to defeat the Dajjal and establish justice on Earth. This event serves as a beacon of hope for believers, signifying the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
  • The Emergence of Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog): Destructive Forces Unleashed: These two monstrous tribes are mentioned in the Quran (Surah Al-Kahf, 92-99) and are believed to be destructive forces that will appear before the Day of Judgement. Hadiths from Sahih Muslim (Hadith 2937) describe them as vast in number and exceedingly destructive. However, their emergence is ultimately followed by their annihilation by Allah’s will.
  • The Rising of the Sun from the West: A Sign of Imminence: This dramatic event is mentioned in a Hadith narrated in Sahih Muslim (Hadith 2408) as a sign of the approaching Day of Judgement. The rising of the sun from the west signifies a fundamental shift in the natural order, marking the nearness of the final reckoning.
Beyond Fear: A Call for Faith and Action
The concept of the signs of the Hour is not meant to instill fear or anxiety in believers. Instead, it serves a multitude of important purposes:
  • A Reminder of the Impermanent World: By understanding the transient nature of this world and the approaching Day of Judgement, Muslims are encouraged to focus on the Hereafter and live a life in accordance with Allah’s will.
  • A Call for Increased Faith: The signs serve as a reminder of Allah’s power and control over creation. As these signs unfold, they strengthen a believer’s faith and trust in Allah’s ultimate plan.
  • A Motivation for Righteous Deeds: Knowing that they will be held accountable for their actions, Muslims are encouraged to strive for good deeds, purify their intentions, and prepare themselves for the final reckoning.
  • A Warning Against Moral Decline: The descriptions of moral decay as a minor sign serve as a cautionary tale, urging Muslims to uphold Islamic values and combat societal ills.
Following the Guidance: The Centrality of Quran and Hadith
The Quran and Hadith provide the foundation for understanding the signs of the Hour. The Quran offers glimpses into these signs, while the Hadiths elaborate on their details and interpretations. However, some important points must be considered:
  • Focus on the Message, Not the Timing: It’s important to remember that the exact timing of the Day of Judgement and the specific nature of the signs remain unknown (Surah Al-Ahzab, 63). The focus should be on the message conveyed by these signs, not on speculating about the exact date of the Hour.
  • Avoidance of Fabricated Narrations: There are many fabricated Hadiths surrounding the signs of the Hour. Muslims should rely on authentic sources like Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim for guidance.
  • Living a Righteous Life: The Ultimate Preparation: The most important preparation for the Day of Judgement is to live a life of faith and good deeds as prescribed by Islam (Surah Al-An’am, 158-159).
Conclusion: Embracing Faith and Action in Uncertain Times
While the Day of Judgement may seem like a distant event, the concept of the signs serves as a constant reminder of its inevitability. By understanding these signs from the Quran and Hadith, Muslims can navigate the uncertainties of the world with faith, focus on good deeds, and prepare themselves for the ultimate meeting with Allah. The emphasis ultimately shifts from fear to action – an action fueled by faith and a commitment to living a life worthy of Allah’s mercy in the Hereafter.

2024.04.30 15:53 According-Eye7784 Do the lists of the Ulu al-Azm prophets indicate that the Quran confuses the Marys?

As you know there is a Miriyam in the Old Testament, she has brothers named Moses and Aaron and her father is named Amram(Imran) Quran mentiones Virgin Mary (Jesus' mother) but says she has a father named Imran(Amram) and brother named Aaron. Also surah Ash-Shuraa verse 13 mentions prophets named Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus; Surah al ahzab verse 7 also mentions Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus together. Another verse, surah Ali Imran 33 also mentions those prophets and families, "Allah chose Adam, Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of ’Imrân above all people ˹of their time˺." In two lists it mentions names of prophets including moses and jesus. In other place it mentions same list but takes Moses and Jesus as family of imran in last verse i mentioned it looks like Quran takes Moses and Jesus as family of Imran. What do you think? What do you think about last point? There are three lists with identical prophets lists and 2 of them mention Moses and Jesus separately 3th one takes them as family of Imran. Is that an argument for Quran mixing Marys? And surah al baqarah 87 has this verse that implies there have been prophets between Moses and Jesus "Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent after him successive messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit. Why is it that every time a messenger comes to you ˹Israelites˺ with something you do not like, you become arrogant, rejecting some and killing others?"
What do you think?
