This is about a neighbor and we walk our dogs together sometimes because our dogs love each other. This neighbor has also invited us to social events in the past and we have attended. When they had heaIth issues, we drove them to places sometimes.
This neighbor gets under my skin though, it's not someone I want to be close to because they seem overly judgemental about our other neighbors for a punchline. I do not trust them with anything too personal. They seem like the kind of person who would drag your name through the mud for little to no reason if u do the slightest thing wrong. Not someone who you'd want to get on the bad side of. They also remind me of those tiktoks of the insufferable indie girl idk maybe I am being too judgemental too haha... idk they just annoy me.
Is it wrong for me to feel like this? I don't normally feel this way towards people and I am also not used to having neighbors that I see frequently.
Today we were walking our dogs together and I offered to walk them back to their place, they declined bc their dog hadn't used the bathroom yet. Then we saw another neighbor that loves my dog but doesnt like the neighbor's dog that I was currently walking with. My dog really wanted to go to the other neighbor so I told the neighbor I was currently walking with (the one that I find to be annoying) that I was going over to other nieghbor and waved goodbye. I hope I'm explaining this in way that makes sense. When I did this the neighbor seemed disappointed or surprised from what I could tell.
Was this wrong or unkind of me to do? I knew that their dogs didn't get along. But I had just spent so much time with the other neighbor, I didn't think it would be hurtful of me to leave them... Maybe they could tell I wanted to not be with them any longer? This might sound horrible but as I kept thinking about it.. I kinda didn't care even if that did hurt their feelings?? I felt idk, controlled? Like I told myself I shouldnt care because I don't owe this neighbor my time, this is my life after all. Am I in the wrong? What if they don't have a lot of friends? :( I am not normally like this.
This doesn't mean that if they needed something or fell ill again that I wouldn't help them, it just seems like they really want to be friends with my partner and me and honestly I wouldn't want that. Not my cup of tea.

TLNR: I have a neighbor that annoys me and is kind of an asshole but seems like they want to be friends. I had an interaction with them that wasn't the most polite (but wasn't overtly rude) but I am realizing that I don't really care if I was polite or not to them. AIAA?

After weeks of experiencing annoying deaths from players using the under barrel glitch, I myself have figured out how to do it and I’m here to explain how to counter it and the weaknesses of them.
For starters, the glitch only works when there are zero grenades or drill charges in the barrel/ in the players inventory. If the player hasn’t emptied out the gun of Grenades, the glitch will NOT work.- If the player just spawned in or used an ammo box, thats your time to push.
Secondly, it is very unpredictable when the glitch will work. I’ve noticed that sometimes I shoot 1, sometimes I shoot 3 sometimes I shoot 10, etc etc.-Its very hard to control it looks like so just sending and pushing it might work out.
Thirdly, players need to have their combat key bind settings set on toggle. Their Tactical and Lethal, as well as Aim Down Sight settings all have to be on toggle, NOT hold.
And lastly, the glitch WILL ONLY work with throwing knives and stun grenades equipped. If the player does not have them equipped, the granades will not shoot- if you down one of em. Take their knives and stuns away.

Back in March, went to check my bimonthly bill. Ballooned to $400 more than even my highest bill ever. Backtracking, I realized a toilet I seldom use had its latch caught, I didn't actually know for how long, and that would likely be the source. The bill specifically covered the sewer cost being massive, tho general water use seemed inflated a bit as well. At first, that seemed like it, and I would just have to grit my teeth and bear my stupidity in not catching a running toilet that I *knew* could be a problem. Then I get to this month's bill, and it's slightly *worse* than the last one. Back when I was inspecting the first, I had multiple plumbers check the problem; no wackiness with the water meter, no erratic surges in pressure, no sign of leakage anywhere, no nothing. The water meter itself *has* highly changed, but it makes no sense with both my regular water use and now truncated use.
I've gotten my local utility to back off on late fees for this discrepancy, but I know it's only for the timebeing. What could be causing this problem? How do I even diagnose it? And if I determine it's not my fault, how do I prove it?

Gandalf the Grey as Taborlin, wandering wizard who defeats the 'great beast' at the highest peak but pays for it with his life, returns from the dead but now he's all in white, the wielder of the "secret fire" who threw the demon down into the pit and cast himself in after it. The one who removes the skin dancer from the King.
He is Saruman, but not. The same way that Menda is Tehlu, but not. He returns from beyond death and restores the flickering flame of hope, and he gains a greater sight.

I said it in my previous LotR post, these roots run DEEP. Just look into the Maiar lore compared to the Ruach and you can't unsee it. Lol Gandalf's sword is even 'a hammer' like Menda/Tehlu. Love it when all the little details fit all snug like that.

He was two dozen feet from me, but I could see him perfectly in the fading light of sunset. I remember him as clearly as I remember my own mother, sometimes better. His face was narrow and sharp, with the perfect beauty of porcelain. His hair was shoulder length, framing his face in loose curls the color of frost. He was a creature of winter’s pale. Everything about him was cold and sharp and white.

I know this question gets posted with some frequency on here, but I always love the discussion it generates and to see different people’s watch habits.
When I first started using Letterboxd last August, I was watched three movies a day. Now I’ve leveled out to 2 a day on weekdays and 3-5 a day on the weekends.
Average weekday:

• Up at 4am
• Watching a movie and drinking coffee by 4:30am
• Read, fish, exercise, or watch another movie if I’m in the mood.
• Get ready for work at 8am, get there at 9am
• Come home around 6pm
• Dinner
• Watching movies with my wife from about 7:30pm-10pm

Okay, so in Warcraft II they introduced the Clans of the Horde and the Nations of the Alliance. This is all established lore in Warcraft II. But the Nations don’t actually play that much of a role in Warcraft III because there’s other stuff going on (we do see Dalaran get destroyed, and Kul Tiras attack the new Horde, but for the most part it’s just Lordaeron). Gilneas is entirely absent in Warcraft III and the first two expansions of WoW.
They’ve introduced the previously established nations into WoW over time. Like Dalaran in WotLK, Gilneas in Cataclysm, and Kul Tiras in Battle for Azeroth.
Gilneas was the barely used nation in Warcraft II that basically decided to do its own thing. In WoW they built a giant wall and became the Worgen.
But the leader of the Gilneas, introduced in Warcraft II, is Genn Greymane. That’s like a perfect werewolf name. Is this just a happy coincidence, or did they really have that concept in mind with Warcraft II?

I just graduated and partners decided to have employee evaluation meetings this week. I was told they decided to fire me yesterday but just now got around to it today.
I just got my raise for graduating and a bonus for getting my 150 credits. I was in the process of filling out my cpa exam application during down time. They usually pay for study material and the exam fees... I was about to decide which exam prep I was going to use.
I asked many times why exactly I was let go and the partner just said "not a good fit". I asked like 5 times.
This is the second time this has happened to me. I lasted 2 1/2 months at my first firm before they let me go. I lasted over 6 months here.
I need to know why this keeps happening. If I don't know, how will I fix it???
I would like to add that I am a liberal atheist in the deep south. I am paranoid that this is the reason. As soon as anyone finds out, you are less than human I feel.

So me and my friend (15f,16f) both have this ex friend who did a bunch of horrible stuff to us like steal from us. we dropped her a couple years ago and that’s how we became friends. well we kind of forgot about her. She would be a joke in our friendship. But the girl we dropped (aaliyah) never forgot about us, she’s been posting TikToks about us and writing our name on paper and burning it on TikTok for like years after the situation and she also reached out to us being rude. we don’t take her seriously, we just message back and make fun of her, but eventually my friend and aaliyah started getting more agressive and they planned to fight. but Aaliyah called the cops and they were mad at us? And gave us a warning not to talk to her. but since then she’s continued to get her friends to reach and text us rude things (the most recent one was yesterday) we just make fun of them we don’t take it seriously and think it’s kind of funny. But today, my friend got called to the office and we might be getting charged with a criminal offence. I don’t understand it though. they were the ones reaching out to us if they didn’t want us to be them then they shouldn’t have us in the first place. please let me know what to do. I have attached some screenshots of our conversation, as you can see, we weren’t really taking a seriously. We would kind of just dunk on the fact that they pretend to be Asian and how they look. I know we are cyber bullying, but I didn’t think it could be used against us if they were reaching out first even after they were told not to buy the law.

My neighbor's yard is a jungle amongst some really beautiful yards. I'm glad I'm not trying to sell my house as it's parked next to a terrible eyesore. As a former biologist, onced charged with buying and managing high-quality habitat, I can say assuredly that the No Mow May concept is not beneficial to wildlife and probably hurts more than it helps.
Trying to maintain "pollenators" in the heart of the city is an effort in futility. Letting grass grow tall is not pollenators habitat. Grass is wind pollinated it has no impact on pollenators. I bet most people that forego mowing in May couldn't name a single species they're trying to help, much less how they are helping it.
Sure, there's a few dandelions for a day or two, but they'll be there if you mow too. And once they go to seed, they don't bloom much anyway.
Come June 1st, the city resumes it's enforcement of unkempt lawns and with the first mow lies a swath of dead baby rabbits. Any insects or other wildlife that have found their way into these ecological sinks (Google it) will have wasted a month's worth of energy during prime growing season.
Not only does the practice likely do more harm to the wildlife it purports to help, it's terrible for your turf. Cutting 16" grass to 4" causes a concomitant reduction to the roots. The grass isn't ready for the long dry summer months ahead, creating bare soil and compaction. It's a vicious cycle that creates an awful looking lawn and reduces the (admittedly low) benefits of runoff mitigation that a healthy lawn provides.
If you don't care about your lawn, I get it, but at least knock it down so you aren't spreading dandelions, killing wildlife hiding in your jungle and disenfranchising yourself with the neighborhood. Nobody respects you when your homestead looks unkempt.
If you really want to make an impact on pollenators and wildlife, invest in critical habitat. Donate to a land trust or other conservation organization doing work in Iowa that will improve or create actual wildlife habitat in areas where at-risk wildlife actually exists.
If people want to encourage pollenators, they can plant flowers that pollenators actually use. Or make targeted improvements that might encourage specific species of concern. Utilize them to make the city more beautiful vs an unsightly mess.
Keep in mind that city life-even designed for wildlife habitat-is seldom quality habitat, especially for species of concern. They aren't endangered because they're flexible-they need a suite of specific habitats that you can't provide in a lawn.
Making your home look abandoned has no net benefits, it's just virtue signalling worthy of the neighbors rolling their eyes.

I’m not very creative when it comes to usernames. I’ve tried looking for inspiration by scrolling through artists on IG and TikTok, but all the usernames I’ve found are just a bunch of random letters and numbers and words that don’t make sense.
I’m not entirely sure what kind of username that I want but I definitely want it to be creative and readable.
I don’t really wanna use my name or nickname, but maybe a shortened version of my nickname, Pip.
I want the username to just be two or three words and not too long.
Just so you get the idea of the kind of username I’m looking for, here are some good examples: AnElderlyMeme, Cheesiiee, CreativeSinning, etc (those are the only good examples that I can find)
Basically all words, no random letters or numbers.
The words I’m thinking of using are: Ghost, Honey, Cloud, Feather, water, rain, moon, etc
And art related words like: Art, Paint/ed, Brush, Canvas, etc
I want to use the username to make a good picture watermark as well.

Somebody suggested to rant my whole experience out in a previous post so I might just do all that.
When we first started dating I just came out of a relationship which I was still processing and healing from. This former relationship was also a lot made up of me being there for my former partner as she was going through some severe health issues and depression.
Yet concerning the partner I have been for the last 1 1/2 years - she pushed me in any way to pursue this relationship. She even said in one of our last conversations that she is proud that she was able to manage to make this relationship happen in the first place, that she managed to make me fall for her and that there is „love“.
Right now I’m in a rather angry or destructive mood hence the post. Yet all the things she criticised about me, all the things she said that I was lacking in. Especially in the beginning saying stuff like „you are not commited enough“ or „you have commitment issues“.
Fast forward to almost a year later she robbed me of every sense of self integrity I had left. She made me feel like I was inherently not good enough. I can still feel the pain in my chest from one of our fights about god knows what. In that moment I actually felt and believed every single word she was telling me, I felt wrong as a person to my deepest core.
Luckily I have ended the relationship some weeks ago and told her nobody is allowed to shun away my inner light from myself. That nobody is allowed to break my spirit and break my inner most core.
This is not even the tip of the iceberg of it all. I sincelry hope I can let it all out and at some point give you all a bigger and more broad picture of my experience.
Yet what I’m trying to formulate is that I made the experience that it is always better to leave that person for good. I sometimes come across posts on here of people trying to figure out or making a certain type of relationship with a pwBPD work.
Let me tell you, in any case, no matter how much you try to convince or try to do good or make them feel better, be there for them or be their caregiver - you will not succeed.
My ex pwBPD was even asking me at some point if I can be their new father as they inherently struggled with the abandonment of their father waking out on the family when they were young.
You will not turn them around and make them happy. Ever. Sad to hear, I know, but his is the truth.
Whatever I did for them it was never enough. They were always looking for something else that was lacking in their life.
I strongly encourage you to take the step and distance yourself and take that kind of energy and use it for strengthening yourself. Use all that energy you accumulated for them to give it to yourself.

“That’s the third time the call was dropped.” Hoagie states the obvious.
“From what I can tell they’re being hacked like it’s the latest fad. Even if our call goes through clean it’s going to be seen by an audience of several billion at least.” Demon replies. His tiny little girl is sitting on his shoulder so everyone’s watching their language, even Zsebreza. Sure, Kathy was growing quick and was developing a good sense of humour, but not even Minisi wanted to be responsible for teaching her the naughty words.
It takes several more tries with the bridge crew chuckling at things before suddenly the link is accepted to find a thoroughly unamused Asian Man glaring at them. The man then lets out a breath. “Two hundred and eighty six separate calls with the image of a woman presenting herself. I have never been simultaneously flattered and insulted.”
“Spoiled for choice sir?” Demon asks.
There is a moment of a pause as the man’s eyebrow quirks in frustration. “Yes.”
“I’m afraid it’s a common issue the galaxy over sir, we humans are hot commodity. Even a hideous slob of a man would find himself inundated with attention. A competent man with goals, ideals and motivation? A feast before the starving sir.” Hoagie says.
“Clearly Officer Eastman.” He says before relaxing a little. “I am Observer Wu. I have been charged by the nations of Earth with baring impartial witness to what has occurred the galaxy over. I have already spoken to several pockets of humanity, including but not limited to three other space stations, the newly risen nobility of Vucsa and of course, The Dauntless and the Embassy on Centris.”
“So what are you looking for? We’ve sent back numerous eyewitness testimonies and as much in the way of resources and proof of our claims that can survive the damaging effects of Cruel Space. A fair portion of exotic material and cadavers were actually supplied from this very station. What more do you need?”
“I just wish to speak with people. I will be communicating with and travelling to every major locations where humans have touched in the galaxy. To see the truth of things with unclouded eyes.” Observer Wu says and there are some nods. “Now then, if you could describe your location and posting please?”
“Certainly, we’ll do that in reverse though if you don’t mind.”
“I do not.”
“We are posted here to both ensure that we have friendly contacts in an area of interest and to learn more about the galaxy at large. Between ourselves and our fellows posted at other stations we are writing the operations manual for how to maintain, police, administrate, protect and supply a fully functional space station with a substantial permanent population. We’re also recruiting and keeping our eyes out for unusual technologies, tactics and techniques. This station alone contains a permanent population that rivals several first world nations on Earth with an industrial capacity well beyond what those nations can provide.”
“Can it now? This station is self sustaining? Food, air and other such supplies?”
“It turns out that a great deal of air is released by harvesting asteroids. Most of them contain a large amount of ice, even when they’re primarily minerals of some kind. Food is grown in hydroponics on such a scale we outright export it. The mining provides the metals and other materials for further products and again, hydroponics of a different source give us oils which leads to plastics, cloth comes in too. The station is completely self sustaining at this point. If the rest of the galaxy was to vanish then all we need are some rocks and we can keep this place going forever.” Demon explains and Observer Wu nods.
“And have you learned about these techniques and technologies?”
“Yes, however many of them are reliant upon Axiom.”
“And the control of the station?” He asks and Minisi pokes at a few of them with her tentacles to get people to shift away. “And you are... the woman in charge I believe?”
“Indeed. Although not for too much longer. I’ve had my fun but the station has become a tedium. I will admit that your species showing up has broken up the monotony a touch, but only enough to give me enough time to really make sure my heiress has this place on lock and with an unmatched command crew.”
“And you’re fine with them having that level of power?” Observer Wu asks and Minisi has a tentacle point right down at Hoagie.
“This one has been in charge of over ten percent of my station. The most productive Agriculture Decks we have are in his power, both officially and unofficially. The businesswomen there fear the flamingo shirts!”
“Hey, I got flowers on at least half of them.” Hoagie protests and she turns to him.
“Hey hey hey! Station boss or not, no horning on my hubby!” Zsebreza says buzzing into view and pressing back on the woman who leans back in amusement.
“You Charbis are so easy to rile up...” She says fondly as Zsebreza sheathes her weapon while still giving her a massive stinkeye.
“So that video was not an elaborate prank in horrific taste.” Observer Wu notes.
“Reality is stranger than fiction sir.” Hoagie notes.
“Indeed it is, and now that you’ve confused me, I am going to return the favour.” Observer Wu states and Hoagie looks from side to side and everyone else is equally baffled.
“Sir?” Hoagie asks as Observer Wu presses a button on his armrest and requests for a certain passenger to be sent up. “What is this...”
He freezes entirely as the camera shifts and he can see... “Mom?”
“Daniel!” Janet Eastman says with a smile. “And... one of those... things that got you.”
“I told you we needed to edit that video.” Zsebreza says.
“But it would clearly have been faked in some way and...” Hoagie trails off. “I... are you alright? The way out of Cruel Space is no fun.”
“It.. it was not pleasant, but I worked in the kitchens for most of it and it kept me busy.” She says.
“Familiar territory then.”
“A starship mess hall is NOTHING like a Corner Bistro in New York.” Janet says and he chuckles.
“Are you sure you’re alright? I mean... the rail shot into orbit, the initial training...”
“I’m part of the civilian experiment. To see how easy or hard it is to get people out of our little corner of the galaxy.”
“And the verdict Miss Hoagie’s mother?” Minisi asks in an amused tone.
“Something needs to be done about the zero-gravity trip. It’s too much. I’ve needed some chemical help to stay calm during parts of the trip.”
“Yeah, it’s not much better when you’re trained for it.” Hoagie says. “Are you coming here?”
“Of course! Those videos were horrifying! If those girls are walking all over you like that then I don’t care if I’m numbered two hundred to one or two thousand to one! I didn’t work my butt off as a waitress when you were a little boy just to see a bunch of bees walk all over you! So I’m putting you on notice!” She growls out.
“Okay lady, I’m giving you the private number, because I love that attitude. And because we need to get ahead of this before there’s a war kicked off.” Zsebreza promises.
“There is no war that’s going to kick off. Mother, Charbis are a very defensive species and refuse to let people see their relaxed state unless they have absolute trust. No exceptions. That’s why you’ve never seen them in anything less than one of their most agitated states. When not safely in the hive a Charbis is only a few moments away from violence.”
“Is the hive like a beehive?”
“It’s not made of waxy hexagons. It’s a bunker with innumerable defences and very comfortable on the inside. They’re so reinforced and secure that it’s the most defensive part on the station barring the other Hives.”
“Hey, you’re really pushing it...”
“I haven’t said anything secret. I haven’t shown anything secret. Anyone with working eyes can see a Hive is nearly impossible to attack if they want to live, and with how wealthy and good with crops Charbis are in general, any idiot can figure out that they have plenty within the hive.”
“Well... yes, but the idea that anyone has any idea what the hives are like...” Zsebreza says and then Janet’s eyes widen as she realizes exactly what she’s seeing.
“Oh! It’s like THAT! No wonder you haven’t bothered running. It’s not too different from home was it?”
“Tough on the outside, everything you want inside? Pretty much.” Hoagie says and a very relieved Janet lets out a sigh of relief.
“Good. I’m still coming over though.”
“But, what about back home? Aren’t you?”
“Daniel. It’s okay. The old building was... well it was soon to be decommissioned anyway.”
“Oh... and I suppose the little place out back...”
“Gone too.” Janet says.
“I see.” Hoagie says.
“Are you alright?” Zsebreza asks and he nods.
“Yeah it just... the place I grew up is gone. Even if there was a way back to Earth, a true way, then I still couldn’t got home again.”
“Everyone leaves home eventually. Not everyone can go back.” Janet says. “Still. Don’t think you’re keeping me away, just because I’ve gotten an idea about you young lady. I’m coming to make sure you’re treating my little boy right. If this is a woman’s galaxy, then this woman is making sure her boy is with the best in the galaxy. Understand me?!”
“Mom!”
“Daniel.” She says even as he gives one of his fellows a dirty look when they snort. They put their hands up and back away. “So fierce young man. Now...”

He simply watches the video feed as mother and son speak. Trying to get a grip on the body language of the alien creatures. There’s a great deal of play and movement around the Charbis Bee woman, the ears are a massive tell on the Ikiya-Mas girl and the Mnenmi seemed utterly passive, in control. The men seemed either comfortable or excited and things seemed to be matching up.
Of course Mother Eastman was an open book to his practised eye, worried, putting on a brave front but the kind of woman who had given up her life to raise a child properly and was now chasing him out of not only maternal duty, but a sense of emptiness now that her great struggle was finished.
He knew her story. A sad tale of how to people, neither with families, had found each other and then shortly as life seemed to be picking up for the happy ending, an accident had taken the father, leaving a single mother to mourn and raise a child alone. A woman with no really marketable skills beyond being a woman and having a sympathetic story. She had been hired and remained hired at a moderately successful Bistro for over a decade, even being held on because she had a teenage son at home working a part time to help out.
Sad story, but one that had given her and the boy spines of steel. Still, open book regardless and...
His communicator goes off and he checks it. It is a text from an unknown number.

His eyebrows climb up a little and he reconsiders his thoughts on the octopus alien. She’s clearly very aware of things, and likely has the implants required to communicate without being obvious. Or he’s looking at a body double. Either way, she’s tipped her hand for... some reason. Which is bothering him. Why did she reveal this?
There is no way to determine without further interaction. So he replies with a simple yes.

Is she just mocking him? This seems to be more mockery than anything. So he asks a simple question.

hey yall, so as of last month on the 19th I was supposed to have my interlock taken off. on my lady visit my probation officer told me to email him on the 8th to let him know I did my “final calibration.” as soon as I did I never got a response, emailed the following day.. nothing and even called today and nothing. so i’m hoping I get a call back soon or an email. I have a feeling that he’s going to want to wait until we discuss the accidental failed test(my husband doesn’t drink and he used mouth washed before using my car, blowing in he failed and I was locked out of my car for about a good hour)

Hello guys, I will finally buy a retroid on the official go retroid store after thinking about this for months. I know the console will come from China and will make its way across the world. The thing is I'm French so I live in France and the retroid website cleary says the address must be in English. So I wonder if it's true. For example my adresse is : 21 Rue de Paris. The website says it should be :21 Street of Paris. But when it will arrive in the country my local delivery company will never be able to ship it at my house because the adresse doesn't exist, only in French. I plan on using 4PX so maybe it will fix it. What do you think about it? English name or not?

hey hey, im back after roughly 6 months! you might remember me from one of my older posts, or not.. but i went on a bit of a small hiatus but now im back and greater than ever!!! my writing skills have improved and so has my art! im currently working on the script for the first episode and i think its going to turn out amazing!!! i also changed the name of the show from "TIME" to BFABP (Battle For A Big Prize) kind of lame, sure. but theres a lot of stuff planned and i hope to get this episode out before october :3 feel free to message me!! i might not see it right away as i dont use reddit that often but yeah!

But of a long one so apologies in advance but would love to some advice. I have recently had an absolute nightmare with British Gas. It’s a very long and boring story at this point but the gist is this:
I moved into my flat a year and a half ago and my electricity bills from British Gas were being sent to the flat downstairs with the wrong address and addressed to ‘the occupier’. I had absolutely no way of knowing these bills were for me.
When I thought it was sus that I wasn’t paying electricity (assumed for a bit my bills were combined but they were too low so grew suspicious) and did my own research to try and sort it out, British Gas began sending me debt collector letters saying they were taking me to court.
I of course grew frightened and tried to get in contact with British Gas to sort out the problem and pay the bill. A whole saga played out where they tried to make me pay an old account, couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t under my name, attached two accounts to my flat and basically totally cocked it up to be frank. At this point I was on the phone daily to them for a week to get it sorted.
Flash forward to a few weeks ago when I FINALLY managed to get through to someone and they manage to sort my account out for me, although I had to hold their hand the whole time. During this process there was multiple mistakes on my account and at one point people were just hanging up on me because they couldn’t sort out the problem.
Then last week, I receive a bill for the back dated energy finally to the right address and under my name. To avoid any more debt collector letters, I put promptly set up a repayment scheme to pay this monthly.
Throughout this process, I placed many complaints to absolutely no avail and they were closed one after another with no response. However, I put another complaint in yesterday stating how disappointed I’ve been with the service, the mental stress this has caused me and the fact that if I hadn’t investigated the bills would still be going to the wrong place. I requested that I have the large back dated bill wiped from my account.
Someone replied today and asked me to confirm my address and name AND PUT SOMEONE ELSES ADDRESS AND NAME????
A lot more has happened but you get the idea and the fact it’s been a nightmare. SO MY QUESTION IS:

1. Is there anything I can do here to legally get help or does this sound like something that is not a legal matter?
2. Should I be paying the back dated bills that were not addressed to me or my flat?
3. Is it a breach of privacy that they sent me someone else’s name and address?

Apologies again for this ridiculously long post but I’m so frustrated and really need advice… I know these people are just trying their best but it’s been so stressful for me and my family

Ensure that the poker site you play on has agreed that the way you intend to prove your identity and address meets their policy. And be aware that policy may differ to norms used in your jurisdiction.
So I've been playing on GGPoker for a few weeks now, deposited a few bucks to take advantage of their deposit bonus and honeymoon promo (which is some real shady bait and switch shit, but I digress) only to find myself in the situation of having to prove my ID and address now, as another member of my household created an account, which whilst within the rules of site if you don't sit at the same table, did trigger a multi-account ban.
Now did GG ask for proof of address or ID when they took my money? No of course not. Well they're asking for it now.
No problem I thought, as per UK government guidance a UK driving licence in combination of with a passport is considered solid undeniable proof of identity AND address. This is pretty much my only option, as I don't directly pay the utilities, and I am currently on a career break studying for a Masters degree online, so I don't receive any communications with my name and address on.
Well not according it GG it aint. Why you may ask, when it absolves GGPoker of all liability should you commit fraud or money laundering on their site, as they followed the UK government guidance? Because Fuck You, that why. Even the fucking gambling commission in the UK accepts drivers licence as proof of address when making a request for any personal information they may hold on you, so why don't you GG? What about bank statements you may ask? Well apparently you can't redact ANY information from the document you provide. So I have to trust some guy earning minimum wage with my full bank account details, as opposed to when I securely deposited my money with the full protection of encryption that even a supercomputer working until the heat death of the universe couldn't crack? Fuck that.
What about other documents then? Well I did spend ages verifying my ID with HMRC in order for them to produce a letter with the only piece of identifying information on it being my National Insurance number. Not ideal you may say, but I say better then my bank details.
So off it goes to the GG support, but no apparently a dated letter with my name and address on it from a government department is not proof of ID. And now that I've typed all this rant out I do realise there is one readily accessible utility bill that I personally pay: my mobile phone, and the piece of information on that (apart from name and address ofc) is the amount of money I pay to my operator. Check mate motherfuckers, now I can withdraw all my money and fuck off back to Stars.
Thank you for reading my rant, and moral of the story: Its legal for GG to take your money and launder it, but its not legal for you to get your money back having laundered it (which I'm not, scout's honour).
And always always make sure the site your playing on won't make you jump through a shit ton of hoops in hope you'll just give up on withdrawing those 20 bucks, as for the site as a whole they all add up.

Brilliant series but i feel like the ending was lacking at the end, like i wanted harry to reconcile with Ginny after breaking up/distancing himself from her, almost seeing her die in the battle etc. Like man instead of the cursed child and them in 19 or 20 years time i'd of preffered reading of all the characters interactions to really give the series a proper send off. Honestly one of the things i really like in Harry Potter is all of the scenes where people are just living and talking in the magical world. The trio on their way home in the summer discussing the year etc. I guess i just care and have much more of an interest in the characters in Harry Potter then other books i've read and enjoyed where really i mostly enjoyed it for the plot.
Also i know everyone says it but Snape is just deranged. You'd hope he had a more caring last moment towards Harry than simply wanting to look into his eyes to remind him of Lily one last time. I wonder how much he did that while Harry was alive? If he often thought of her when he saw him, or only saw his father until his dying moment?
Also does anyone know how sure Dumbledore was that Harry wouldn't die? I mean Harry naming his child after the man who set him up on such a hard quest just to die for the greater good. Not sure if it was actually Dumbledore in Limbo or just some creation of him inside Harry's head either?
Imagine if intead of the cursed child and that final chapter JK released a bunch of books of them in their later lives, the amount of money she'd of made... but i guess you cant really do that without inventing a plot which rivals the world ending intensity of the first lot, which i think is what cursed child writers felt they had to do and it just felt so fake and undermined the previous story.

Hello, so basically I will build my first pc in around 1 month (saving money) and I've done a lot of research regarding pc parts and how to build it. My problem is that I'm not sure how good of a deal it would be to buy now a GPU. For the GPU I have a budget of around 600€ (a little more than 600$) but the GPUs at that price point don't seem like a good deal to me and I'll explain why.
Firstly let's start by saying Intel won't be included. There will be people that will suggest me a 7800 XT or a 7900 GRE but recently I saw that AMDs sales are down by around 50% if I remember correctly and that got me thinking, AMD makes a big percentage of their money from their server CPUs and since they plan on not going high end with their new 8000 series GPUs, does that mean the quality of their drivers wont be as good as they should be? This might sound stupid to a lot of you but I want to be sure before spending so much money. I was thinking to maybe wait and see Intel's Battlemage, AMD's 8000 series and Nvidia's 5000 series and decide at that moment what I should do. Lastly the only reason I am thinking about waiting and not going with a 4070 Super, I think it's predictable, is because of the Vram.
As I said this was just a thought but I want everyone's opinion on this with if possible more detail on why you have this opinion that you have on my question.
Also I want to state that since summer is coming it would be really good to have my GPU during summer, but if you think I should wait then I'll be using 7800x3d integrated graphics.
