2024.05.15 10:19 blunt-knife Need help finding the 2nd movie

I'm trying soo hard to find these 2 movies. I mean, I haven't tried to find the first one but the second one yes. Soo many times!! I have tried asking my family; I have typed the entire summary in the search and still nothing! I believe this is an actual movie and not a fiction of my imagination as I remember watching it when I was a small child. The first one is easy to find I think but the most challenging is the second one (at least for me) then why did I include the first one? I have no idea. Crap, I googled "tamil movie where wife becomes doll" and found out the first movie. It's Vaa Arugil Vaa. Thanks guys!
Now I reaaally wanna find the second movie ONLY.
  1. The first one is an old horror. The plot involves the wife being killed and taking possession of a doll she was gifted (?) and she seeks revenge on her husband and his family. He owns a mill I think. There's a fight scene involving the possessed doll and the husband and she stabs into a rice sack or MAYBE WHEAT, im really not sure.
  2. I do not know the genre of the second one as I only watched a part of it. So there's this disabled husband who has a huge hunch on his back and the wife seeks to help him or heal him? anyway so she seeks out these sages and they tell her to cook her newborn child and hold a feast for them. So, she kills and cooks and her husband is healed but he starts to despise her for what she has done(?) I'm not sure if this is in the plot or if my mind is making up stuff.

2024.05.15 09:52 Ok_Sherbert_669 Nutriton for long covid - What I eat in a day

I try to follow an anti inflammatory diet but I'm often tired and can't stand for a long time so I need quick but healthy meals. In the past weeks I used kind of a "building set".
Breakfast (Problem: No appetite in the morning but when I don't eat my brainfog and headache gets worst.)
Shake
1 Brazil nut
1 tsp Ingwer
1 tsp Tumeric
1 hand full of salad
1 hand full of cucumber
1 tablespoon of nuts (almonds or pecan or walnuts)
1 teaspoon flaxseed oil
125 g of berries (blueberries or strawberries or raspberries)
200 g of water (you can use milk or a plant-based substitute too)
30 g Oats
For protein I use 1 serving of pea protein powder (Whey should be avoided, because it could cause inflammation).
Why is that a "construction kit"? You can vary the berries, the nuts and the kind of salad so you can "build" different shakes. You could even swap out the berries for any low in sugar fruits like apples or oranges.
Lunch (Problem: I can't stand up long enough to prepare a complicated meal).
Salad
1 hand full of red bell pepper
1 hand full of carrots
1 hand full of cucumber
1 hand full of kidney beans
1 hand full of salad
4 tablespoons rice (whole grain)
1 tablespoon parsley
1 mintleaf
1 teaspoon sumac
1 tablespoon good olive oil (extra vergine or any omega-3 rich plant oil)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
For extra protein I add different things: chicken, feta or mozzarella.
I try to eat only 3 meals per day and have a 4-5 hour break between them.
Why is that a "construction kit"? Needs no explanation. You can swap out the veggies, the rice (for whole grain pasta or potatoes boiled in their skin) and all the spices.
Dinner (No problem here as my spouse usually likes to cook.)
We usually keep it to the simple formula:
protein (chicken, turkey or fish)
lots of veggies (steamed or cooked in the oven)
small serving of carbs (whole grain rice or pasta, potatoes)
It's not rocket science or something new and fancy, but it reduces the stress and the decisions around cooking and eating a lot which is a great. And in addition it keeps my symptoms at bay. The best thing about it: My headache is down from an really annoying 5-6 to a manageable 3. Maybe it's not the diet but it can't hurt to give our bodies "good fuel" because it's in distress right now.
What do I avoid? White bread and usually wheat, simple carbohydrates, anything fried, candy, sweets, chips, sugar, salted nuts, palm oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, lard, juices, soft drinks, alkohol, pork (beef only from time to time), convenience products.
Do I count calories? No it's not the time to focus on losing weight.
Do I follow these guidelines every day? No it's not the time for perfectionism. If I manage to eat at least 2 of my meals following these guidelines I'm quite happy and my symptoms won't flare up.

2024.05.15 09:48 Doesnt-matter-1234 Do you drain the starch water from rice while cooking it? Why or why not?

Note - Asking this question here to get a broader set of answers from Indian households instead of limited ones from any culinary sub.
My father used to say that if you remove the water in which the rice is cooked, then the crucial micronutrients along with taste are washed away and you are just eating the cardboardy leftovers.
At the same time other insist that draining the starch away makes it healthy as you consume less starch. Also rice becomes more fluffier if you drain the starch.
What’s your preferred method and why?

2024.05.15 08:46 Wise-News-5347 I can’t loose any weight for the past 3 years I’ve been going to the gym.

I am 25 Female, 166cm 62kg I’m not the biggest but, I’ve always had a tummy and I’ve been trying to at least make it less noticeable. I’ve been able to get down to 58kg but I just rebound to 60kg which isn’t a lot. I think I read that it’s normal?
I weight train 3-4 times a week with heavy weights. On weekends I walk quite a lot. I try and watch what I eat. I only drink water and tea. For breakfast I’ll have 100g of rice, 1 pack of fermented soybean, and a bowl of miso soup.
For lunch I try to keep myself in a 300-500 range lunch
For dinner I have a 100g of rice and what ever I made. I cook with minimal oil, always a protein, and a ton of veggies. I sometime have an ice cream for 200 or less calories. Sometimes I like to eat a little sweet while working or get a caffe latte in the mornings. Some times both. I do binge around my period.
Do I need to cut out everything sweet to see results for weight loss? I can tell my arms are getting bigger from muscle but they look chubby because I can’t loose the fat.
If I could get any tips or anything, I’d be extremely grateful. If this isn’t the right sub I apologize.

Was eating sushi today and I this audio technica label on a box infront of me. I asked the chef why they kept a turn table next to the prep station, he said “it’s not a turn table it preps the rice for us”. My mind was BLOWN. Checked the label in the back and it is the AUTEC MAKI SUSHI MASTER ASM 865A. Did you know about this?

2024.05.15 07:38 Unlikely_Fly1595 SOMETHING IS CREEPY ABOUT MY FRIEND'S FAMILY

I had a friend named Amy.She was a shy person, but I was always there to encourage her or I helped her get things when she was sheepish at times. We were really close with each-despite being in different grades,we manage to meet each other.
One day,we were texting on the phone when she spontaneously texted me an invite to her dinner party that was going to start in the evening.I accepted the invite and told the punctual time I would be arriving at.
When it was 6:40 pm I got out of bed and took a warm shower. After that,I dried myself up and wore my clothes. Then,I curled my hair and wore diamond earrings to match my outfit.i was so excited.I then hailed a cab by the sidewalk and told my location. While I was travelling,I texted her on the way. After a while,i arrived there. The house looked really strange and the he place was creepily quiet and cold, but i was sure I was gonna met nice people.
Well,it was something I didn't expect.Nobody greeted me,only Amy.The rest were staring down at me coldly. "Oh,so you are the one?"her mother said. "Yes,I'm her friend",I replied with a smile. She rudely smiled and left.I quietly sat on the couch, talking to Amy. On my right,I could see a couple of smokers staring at me.
Finally, dinner was served.I arrived at the dinner table, and everyone was full-on staring at me.And,there was something fishy about the food. "Excuse, what did you cook?"I asked. Her sister looked angry and smiled. "Why?It's fried rice". "It smells weird",I said. "Is this beef?". "Oh right, you are Indian. Here, let me get you the chicken salad",she got up from her spot and passed me the salad. It was a sheepish moment for me.
It was eight o'clock.Dinner finished.I was talking to Amy at the balcony. Then,I experienced a sudden black out. Then,I woke up-right I was asleep.I was in the same dress.I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs-it was creepy. The mother in the kitchen seemed like a crazy lady chopping meat.her eyes and dark circles underneath and her siblings her smoking. "You are a little shit, aren't you?"they said.I ignored it,and ran away in a cab.
It was so weird. HOW COULD SHE BE LEAVING WITH THEM?!

2024.05.15 07:13 jhdichkchdkfbkdgdjb i'm so lost, questioning

hello ^_^ this is a throwaway acc because ive never actually used reddit before and i'm nervous about people knowing my identity, since the things im going to discuss give me a lot of anxiety. additionally, i'd like to say that if this is not the space to ask this, i completely understand and feel free to remove my post ^^ i just can't stand struggling with myself anymore, and if this isn't the space, could someone maybe direct me to somewhere else where i can discuss?
for the past ~four weeks or so i've been questioning if i'm a system. i completely acknowledge i may not be, but i'm struggling to find disorders that fit my symptoms, and i know the did/osdd spectrum is a varied experience. i am also aware you all are not mental health professionals and cannot diagnose me, nor know exactly what is going on in my head, but i suppose i'm just looking for advice. i'm a minor and currently do not have access to a therapist or mental health professionals. i live in an abusive household, and i have heavily suspected social anxiety and autism. obviously i am not diagnosed, but my experience heavily relates to these two, and people i know who are say its likely i have them. i have several friends who are systems, online and irl, and my partner is also one. ive caught myself sometime.. wondering what its like to be a system, for lack of a better word? sometimes it feels like im mentally glorifying it, which i correct as soon as i notice, because i understand did and osdd id a trauma disorder and can cause so much distress and disorder (hence the name) in someone's life. i've been doing a lot of research but i still feel unsure, and i've also talked to one of my sys friends about my experience, and they also said its possible, but also possible that i'm not. the main issue i have is memory loss. ive struggled with my memory since i was a kid and i always just labelled myself as 'forgetful', but all of my peers have told me its not normal, and the past few months its been really stressing me out. i frequently forget things people tell me, things i say or do, and sometimes why i am somewhere, although i feel that last one is a relatively normal experience; the 'walking into a room then forgetting why you're there' sort of thing. ive caught myself feeling like im on autopilot, lost in my own thoughts and being unaware of my surroundings, which sometimes makes me do nonsensical things until i sort of 'snap back into reality'- i've put salt into the fridge, thrown my tv remote into the garbage, ran into walls or doors or stubbed my toes too many times. sometimes i forget my meals for so long that i end up eating two dinners, then remember the next day that i had two dinners. just recently i made rice. i remember cooking it, and eating it, but the next day my mom asked me why i put the rice into the pots cupboard. i don't remember doing this at all. additionally, i am very very bad at time; i'll think something happened two months ago, then my friend will tell me its been a week. ive always been an extremely emotion-oriented person, so when i act out of the ordinary, i considered it mood swings. i'm a trans guy, so i thought hormones, or maybe its the autism, or maybe its a normal experience, but recently an incident happened where i was talking to my partner in a groupchat with a mutual friend and i told them some very passive aggressive things which i would normally never say and once i had calmed down and apologized for the ordeal i realized i didn't even know why i'd reacted that way. they hadn't done anything at all wrong and one of the main traits i'd say about myself is i rarely every get mad/angry, and when i do, i never express this to the people around me. several of my friends share this sentiment. due to the abuse in my household, sometimes i'll have a mental breakdown and cry for an hour, but then be completely fine afterward. the next day i almost forget the thing that upset me ever happened- meaning like, i know it did happen, and i know it made me upset, but it just doesn't feel like that big of a deal anymore, and i don't feel upset at all. its almost like, emotional amnesia, for lack of a better term. i don't feel any of the emotion i know i felt at all, and sometimes even find it hard to understand why i was upset in the first place. apparently this isn't normal, either.
the big thing that makes me believe maybe its not did or osdd is i don't often disassociate, or maybe i do? i can't really tell.. most of the time i feel its me piloting my body, if that makes sense, but i zone out a lot. something i do struggle with is knowing the world is 'real'; often it feels like im.. in virtual reality, or looking at a painting, or a screen or something, but i'm chronically online (online every moment i physically can be) so i connected it to that. sometimes when it gets late i do things i wouldnt normally do, but i believe thats also quite a general experience- sleep deprivation changing your behaviour. ive dissociated during traumatic events, which is a normal trauma response, but one specific thing i can remember is in.. 7-8th grade, i can't remember which specifically (i'm in tenth now, i'll be in eleventh next year), there was a period of about two weeks where i felt extremely derealized. it felt like i was watching my body move and do things from outside, and it wasn't caused by anything, as far as i know. it just sort of happened.
another thing that makes me think i'm not a system is i dont really hear voices in my head i hear. my own but ive always thought its my own and its like narrating what i think, i guess its never changed unless its like i randomly read what someone said in their own voice or whatever and it doesnt really say anything that im not thinking unless i have intrusive thoughts, although i can sort of.. debate, with myself. but its always felt like me, like im weighing the pros and cons of somethin, or arguing for both perspectives of an issue. i've always tried to be an open minded person and see all sides. i do talk to myself sometimes, but i do it pretty mindlessly. i never thought anything different of it, but maybe its not normal? when i was a kid, i would talk to myself out loud. i also felt lonely and in 4-7th grade i had convinced myself the wind was my friend and that i could control it. i called him 'mr wind'. don't really think this has anything to do with being a system, but some background knowledge, i suppose?
when i first started actually doing research after denying even the possibility of me being a system for ~two weeks, i did try ti communicate with my possible other parts, but i wasnt very successful. i laid down in a dark room and focused on my mind, trying to call out to anyone at all, but all the responses i got only responded after i asked a question, and refused to answer if i myself could not think of a response to the question. for that reason, i believe this was simply myself attempting to come up with a response. i also started keeping a small digital journal, in case they'd prefer to communicate that way, but nothing i havent wrote or remember writing has showed up, either.
in terms of identity, i've been.. somewhat sure of myself? i think i know who i am kind of well, but sometimes i question myself. i don't have anything significant to say on this topic, which is why i didn't bring it up earlier in the post, but i understand identity is a huge part of being a system, which is why it felt important to address somewhere.
im hesitant to talk about this, but in relation to fiction, i don't have many 'kins'. however, there is one character i feel like IS me. i have no idea how to describe it. its just whenever i see him, i feel like he IS me, like we're the same, even though we have practically nothing in common. this character is loud and confident and a perfectionist and im none of those things, quite the opposite, actually. i know this probably isn't evidence but i just find it so weird.
food is a very sensitive topic for me. i am very very picky about food, because certain textures, tastes, etc make me very prone to not liking food, and when i don't like a food i eat i vomit. like many other autistic people, i have "safe" foods, which i typically will always feel comfortable eating. but every once in a while, a food that has been "safe" for years will suddenly taste horrible or have a bad texture and it makes me vomit, which then makes me scared to eat it again. sometimes i try these foods again in the future and they become "safe" once more. i'm not sure if this can be related to being a system, but i thought perhaps it was different alters having different preferences? no idea.
i once had a dream i was a system. it wasn't like, the main focus, i just was, the plot still unfolded as usual. i know dreams are just dreams, but since im mentioning everything ever, i might as well mention this too.
i'm not sure if these can be connected to being a system at all, but i figured maaaaybe they could be, so i'll mention them anyway: feel free to disregard this section if physical symptoms don't apply
-sometimes my knees will randomly feel weak, and like its hard to walk
-sometimes a random wave of heat will wash over me for a few seconds then disappear, this can also be accompanied by ear ringing
-sometimes a certain part of my lip will twitch and no matter how hard i try it won't stop, but it only ever lasts a few minutes
-for the past few days, i've had incessant eye twitching in only my left eye, and similar to my lip no matter how hard i try it won't stop, but its a lot more common than my lip twitched and only started happening recently. i've had the lip twitch for years, but it only happens once a few months. with my eye, although it only lasts short periods like my lip, its been happening multiple times a day. i don't really treat these as part of my 'evidence', just in case, i guess
this is pretty much all of my "evidence", feel free to ask any questions in the comments. my feelings won't be hurt if you say you think i'm not a system. i'm just looking for an honest opinion, because the way i can't remember shit ever is driving me crazy. i feel like i'm faking because i subconsciously "want" to be a system to fit in and better relate to my friends and my partner, and i didn't have suspicions before they brought up how they were, so how weird is that, right? but at the same time, i'm trying to be very very honest in my experiences, because i understand misdiagnosing myself could really damage my mental health. i just don't know anymore. if you believe i'm not a system, could you perhaps point me in the direction of something else my symptoms might fit into? thank you very for your time, and your help if you decide to comment ^-^

Aetheroleum oils are termed non-water soluble liquids comprising unstable aroma compounds of the plants. The global market is mostly driven by the robust trend of green consumerism among the growing popularity of natural products for sensory-related aspects and food preservation.
Fortune Business Insights™ mentioned this in a report titled “Essential Oils Market, 2023-2030.”

~Segments~
Citrus to Dominate Market Owing to Increasing Popularity among Consumers

Food & Beverages Segment to Hold the Market Share Owing to Increasing Demand for Oils
According to application, the market is divided into spa & relaxation, food & beverages, personal care & cosmetics, pharmaceuticals & medicinal formulations, and others. The food & beverages segment is anticipated to hold the largest share during the forecast period. ~Report Coverage-~
The report offers:
~Drivers & Restraints-~
Growing Demand and Need for Natural Ingredients to Foster Market Growth
The use of plant-based volatile oil has a vital role in the natural preservation of foods despite the increasing distress of synthetic food additives and their long-term harmful effects. Ethereal oils have shown antibacterial actions in foods such as milk, fish, meat products, fresh meat, dairy products, and cooked rice.
Ethereal oils are very concentrated products. Further, one pound of lavender oil consumes around 250 pounds of lavender flowers. The ever-rising demand against constrained supply is bound to create high-price scenarios, hindering its utilization across different application sectors in developing economies.
~Regional Insights-~
Europe to Dominate the Market Share Owing to Plant-based Volatile Oils
Europe is anticipated to dominate the market share in 2022. The producers of cosmetics in Europe are inclining heavily toward including ethereal oils in their formulations. North America is anticipated to have second position in terms of market share. The demand for the product in the region is anticipated to witness noteworthy growth during the projected period.
~Competitive Landscape-~
Industry Association a Priority for Prominent Companies in the Market
The global market remains primarily fragmented owing to the importance of local and private-label brands in different regions. Prominent companies, such as International Flavors and Fragrances Inc., Givaudan International SA, and Symrise AG, embark on acquisitions and mergers to increase their importance in the marketplace.

Not the best picture, but this $81 8 oz filet from Prime Steakhouse in Las Vegas has been the best steak I’ve had so far
I’m no steak connoisseur. The most expensive steaks I’ve had are the ones at Ruth’s Chris and Morton’s and it’s been years since I’ve been to either.
Went to Prime Steakhouse at The Bellagio in Las Vegas for dinner with friends. This was the cheapest steak they had but it definitely beat out any other steak I’ve ever eaten. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. Came with soy rice wine sauce, bernaise sauce, and peppercorn sauce, all of which were delicious. Paired it with a Merlot and truffle mashed potatoes.

2024.05.15 06:28 Best-Tour-4600 I think I broke my lovely husband

Throwaway account. Context: I 24 female recently got married to my wonderful husband 37 male. We met at a volunteer event and instantly connected. He’s a professor of the same subject at University that I majored in engineering. He is PERFECT and he checks out all my boxes that I found are extremely rare: he is devoted to God, has high morality, doesn’t drink or smoke, very organized and meticulous so on and so forth. He’s also a little goofy, and I love it❤️( loves Star Trek and building Lego sets). 7 months of a whirlwind romance we’re married. Since we’ve been married I noticed some major changes and I think it’s mostly my fault. I love cooking and since I am an ABD I introduced him to alot of new food from my cuisine and in our culture we sometimes feed our loved ones food that we prepare( I know, kind of infantilizing but it’s how we show love). Recently he’s been asking me more and more to feed him and after dinner I also give him scalp massages that now he says he can’t fall asleep without. Initially I happily obliged but now I’m getting concerned, where did the independent man go? Also, I make him bento boxes for lunch with cute shaped rice balls, but I didn’t know that he’s been posting pictures of them in his socials🤦‍♀️, (tbh I don’t think it’s a good look for a 37 year old professor to post a starfleet Combage shaped rice ball ,that all his students might be able to see) He has also been following me every where I go, last Friday I went to play tennis after work and I didn’t know until after that he was watching the game the whole time , he also went to my last mani pedi appointment with me after work. I know it’s lovely that he wants to be close to me, but gosh I feel suffocated and then I feel guilty cause my husband is perfect, and he’s not doing anything wrong and I should be grateful but I just wanna don’t know … I’m irrationally upset at this, I don’t know what to do and I don’t wanna hurt his feelings. EDIT: to anyone who’s concerned about him tracking me, I told him about both of the activities beforehand. I usually keep him in the loop for everything I do. And my husband IS really good to me, he makes coffee every morning even though he himself doesn’t drink it, makes breakfast, gets me flowers all the time, he listens to me and gives me great advice, gives me foot rubs when I’m tired, helps me deal with stress from work, tells me he loves me at least 10 times a day, helps with all housework and so much more… he’s really a great guy❤️

2024.05.15 06:19 kanohipuru My head chef doesn't seem to know how to prepare sushi rice - but it's the main part of the menu and I'm fairly new - should I say something?

I previously worked in Japan as a chef, he knows that. But you don't need to have done that to know how to prepare it correctly. He uses a proper industrial size rice cooker.
He doesn't wash the rice before cooking it. Also last week when I threw leftover out I tasted it and it was so dry. Maybe to the average joe it's OK, but after a couple mins of the cooker lid being open the top is crunchy and hard. The bottom layer of rice is always brown.
Don't want to step on his toes as I'm new but also aware there's a lot wrong here.
Should I say it / if so, how?
EDIT - current place isn't a sushi / Japanese restaurant.

-Seth says Sebastian likes his veggies as a kid, then he liked chicken nuggets, and then the first time he tried a hamburger at Wendy's, he ordered himself a hamburger and he took the hamburger and ate the whole thing and after that he started eating spaghetti and things like that. He says sebastian likes sushi, tofu, and eggs. He likes pancakes and bacon at IHOP or waffle house, he likes cheddar brats, he likes all cheeses but loves pamarsean on his spaghetti

2024.05.15 04:53 TheDesiPlayboy Iron and Spices: Building Muscle Pt. 1

So there I am, The Desi Playboy, back in my scrawny college days, just a couple of lean dudes fresh off a bar-hopping spree, chilling at the bus stop. Out of nowhere, this hulk of a caucasoid frat bro comes up, gives me a slap on the back that damn near sends me flying into next Tuesday. "Owww!!" I couldn't help but yelp. Dude struts past us, throwing over his shoulder, "Time to hit the gym, boys!!" I brushed it off, ego slightly bruised. After all, I'm the guy who’s been repping out with 20 lb dumbbells in my apartment gym like I’m training for the Olympics. That’s got to count for something, right?
Growing up, our idea of exercise was running away from aunties at family gatherings or maybe the occasional cricket match that was more about snacks than sports. The gym? That was uncharted territory. Our parents, bless their hearts, equated physical fitness with being able to sprint for the bus without wheezing. The notion of lifting weights, tracking macros, and chugging protein shakes was as alien to them as ketchup on biryani.

Attraction: It’s More than Just Physical

Have you ever had a girl flirtatiously squeeze your biceps, reinforcing the stud that you are? How about playfully slapping your ass when you’re not looking? That moment, my man, is raw, primal attraction at its finest—a kind of magnetism most men sadly never get to feel. Are you getting that type of attention from the ladies? Going to the gym and lifting weights is the first step into becoming that fuckable specimen. Picture this: you're strutting around, radiating confidence, and women gravitate to you, captivated, before you even utter a word. Arguably, muscles on a man is the equivalent of nice tits and ass on a woman. It's like you've got this invisible force field of allure, and all it took was a little sweat, discipline, and iron at the gym.
Think about it. In a world where first impressions are made in the blink of an eye, your body speaks volumes before you've even had a chance to dazzle with your wit or charm. It's not superficial; it's literally science. Physical fitness signals health, vigor, and, let's be real, the ability to handle business, whether that's lifting heavy things during a move or just looking damn good in a fitted shirt. An unfortunate reality is that women often manipulate men to get their needs met. However, men can simply manipulate the environment themselves to get their needs met. You think your crush is opening those pickle jars by herself? A nice, jacked body signals to women that you are good at manipulating your immediate physical surroundings.
So, if you're lounging on the fence, wondering whether hitting the gym is worth it, let me spell it out for you: Hell yes, it is. Not for the fleeting attention or the shallow compliments, but for the undeniable boost in how you perceive yourself and, subsequently, how the world sees you including women. It's about becoming a magnet not just for looks, but for respect, confidence, and yes, a whole lot of that good old-fashioned primal attraction.
Get ready to be the guy who walks into a room and commands it, not because you demand it, but because you've earned it, one rep at a time. Let's ditch the excuses, embrace the grind, and transform not just our bodies, but our entire damn aura. The iron calls, gentlemen.

Built Different

Our Desi genes serve us a mixed platter when it comes to body types. Some of us are fat fucks, while others are fragile twigs no matter how many samosas we demolish. For those of you guys on the overweight side.. Do you have Ananth Ambani money? No? Then you literally can’t afford that body if you want pussy. And if you can afford that body it is gonna bite you in the ass when you have heart disease.
Those of you scrawny sticks? Stop looking down at the more muscular bros and start looking at the women they’re pulling. Don’t get me started on that weird gray area a lot of us brown dudes fall into. I’m talking about the skinny fat phenomenon—a term as oxymoronic as 'jumbo shrimp'. It’s that peculiar body type where you look slim clothed but are a marshmallow in disguise. It’s the bane of many a Desi dude, a sneaky reminder of all those laddoos and no leg days. Ready to get rid of the bitch tits?
Look around at the next family gathering. Notice how cousin Rohan is built like a tank, but you got that uncle bod? That’s your first clue that genetics play a bigger role in this game than you might’ve thought. Tailoring your workout to your body type isn’t just smart; it’s crucial if you want to see real, lasting results.
Custom Cuts: Here’s the deal—
Alright, which of these body types are you rocking? Lean Machine, Easy Gainer, or Natural Athlete? Time to design a workout routine that suits your unique build. Yes, The Desi Playboy is dishing out homework, but trust me, it’s for a mighty good cause: to make you irresistible to the ladies. Now before we actually start integrating that workout routine let’s not forget to revisit the food on our plate.

Desi Diet Doom

The Desi diet is a freakin’ carb fest—a glorious, tasty trap that’s basically a middle finger to your muscle gains and fat loss goals. You probably recognize the following: plates piled high with rice, naan, and rotis, with a side of “Are you even eating enough?” from every relative. Navigating this when you’re trying to get ripped or ditch the belly fat is like being on a diet in a candy store.
Every meal’s a carb carnival, and while you love it, your body’s begging like, “Bro, where’s the protein?” It's like trying to build a house with all bricks and no cement. And oh, the ghee and oil. Delicious? Hell yeah. Conducive to abs? Hell no. It’s like slathering your goals with butter—tasty but terribly counterproductive. Add to that the mountain of sweets at every family function—those jalebis and gulab jamuns are seductive, but they’re saboteurs hiding in plain sight, wrecking your waistline one sweet bite at a time. If you’re gunning for that sculpted look, it might be time to negotiate a peace treaty with your sweet tooth and get serious about sneaking more lean meats and greens onto your plate.
Now let’s be honest, are you cooking all these Indian meals yourself? Or have you become completely dependent on your mom’s cooking? Is the extent of your cooking skills limited to boiling water and maybe, on a good day, making a mean cup of chai? Let me guess you top off the chai with some of Amma’s sweet sweet titty milk too? Listen up, because here’s the deal breaker—women are attracted to guys who’ve got their life sorted, including what’s on their plate. And if you’re letting mom choose whether it’s dal or paneer for dinner tonight, don’t be surprised if she’s also the one choosing your bride.
This, my dudes, is precisely why I’m all about preaching the gospel of DIY in the kitchen. It’s more than just about mixing spices; it’s about mixing independence into your life recipe. Grabbing the reins of your culinary journey isn’t just about impressing dates; it’s about fueling your body right, especially if you’re looking to bulk up and carve out those gains.

Protein Power Moves

There’s a way to keep the flavors of home without turning into a samosa yourself. It’s about being smart with your choices, making swaps, and still being able to face your grandma without guilt.
Lean and Mean: Start mixing in more lean meats, tofu, and legumes. Think chicken tikka, dal tadka with less tadka, and grilled paneer. Your muscles will thank you. But why stop there? Venture beyond with dishes like Thai grilled chicken or Turkish lentil soup. These global cuisines offer high-protein dishes that still dance on the tongue.
Smart Swaps: Ditch the white rice for quinoa or brown rice. Swap some of those rotis for a big-ass bowl of salad. Sprinkle some Mediterranean zest with a Greek salad, or bring a burst of Japanese flavor with a side of edamame. It’s about keeping the essence of Desi cuisine but making it work for your gains.
Supplement Smartly: Yeah, protein shakes might look like drugs to your folks, but they’re your BFFs on this journey. Mix that stuff with some milk or water, and chug. Think of it as a cheat code for muscle building—quick, efficient, and straight to the point.
Explore and Expand: Don’t be shy to sprinkle some culinary curiosity into your diet. Try Korean BBQ for a protein-packed meal, or if you're feeling adventurous, a Peruvian ceviche can offer a refreshing twist packed with high-quality protein. These flavors not only enhance your palate but also fuel your fitness goals.
So, there you have it. Turning the Desi diet dilemma into a muscle-building manifesto doesn’t have to be a soap opera. Keep the flavors, ditch the excess carbs and fats, and for the love of all that is holy, make protein your main homie. Expand your culinary horizons to keep your meals exciting and your body guessing.

From Diet to Dates

Alright, my fellow Desi bros, let’s wrap this up. If you’re serious about leveling up your game with the ladies, it’s time to get real about your diet, fitness, and lifestyle. Tailor your workout to your body type—whether you're an ectomorph, endomorph, or mesomorph—and make the gym your second home. Ditch the carb-loaded Desi diet for protein-packed meals. Whether you’re eating lean meats or are a vegetarian, make smart swaps like quinoa for white rice and grilled paneer for fried snacks.
Start cooking for yourself to fuel those gains and show you’ve got your life together. These changes lay the foundation for attracting women by boosting your confidence and health. The journey starts now. Let’s make those gains and turn some heads. The iron awaits, gentlemen.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we’ll dive into lifting and integrating your workout routine to get you on track.

2024.05.15 04:46 PlantedinCA Low effort shrimp sesame noodles

Low effort shrimp sesame noodles
Copy my easy dinner. 🍜 + 🍤 + 🥗
Prep while you are boiling water (unless you have induction. 😂)
I had some chopped bok choy from the other day. And I added cabbage and peppers. Quickly chopped. Note you can hack this with coleslaw mix too. This is when I am really lazy.
When the water came to a boil I threw in frozen shrimp in for about 3 minutes. Pulled them out and gave them a quick soak in cold water to stop cooking. I gave the bok choy a minute to soften. The cabbage went on my serving plate with a little salt to help them soften.
Then I added the noodles. While I like the lotus brown rice soba, the cook time is unpredictable. If I used other predictable noodles, I would have thrown shrimp in at the last couple minutes.
As for the sauce: about a tablespoon of tahini, a tablespoon of chili crisp, a splash of toasted sesame oil, and 1-2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, and soy sauce to taste. Mix it up. Add a tiny bit of water if it is too thin. And adjust the sauce to taste. It is not exact at all. Throw this in your mixing bowl. You’ll use this to mix everything so get a big one!
Tahini is the best hack for a sauce for noodles. It adds nice richness and creaminess while giving you a quick serving of healthy fats.
I tossed the noodles, veggies, shrimp, and a little bit of crushed roasted cashews in the mixing bowl. Add a bit of salt and pepper to taste and you are ready to serve.
A low prep, veggie packed dinner mostly from the pantry.

I thought i had to take her to the vet but she’s just dramatic 😭 (her names Lucille)
So here’s the story : My bf left our house around 5:30 AM Monday morning , it was early so he didn’t want to wake her up so he went on his work trip (meaning she didn’t see him since 9PM Sunday night shes only 9 months and still sleeps in kennel for now) So fast forward to today (Tuesday) she’s acting strange. I feed her raw and she never has had an issue with it before. However , as soon as she finishes her food , she immediately throws it up. I wait a little bit to see how she is and then boil her some chicken and cook some rice. She eats it , keeps it down , great! She’s still acting weird , i give her a small bone because she normally loves them and gets all excited , but not today. I work for a vet but in the nutrition department so i decided to message some of my coworkers because i thought maybe she needed her anal glands expressed (forgot to mention she had some diarrhea along with constipation) After them asking questions and me answering they ALL came to the same conclusion (keep in mind this wasn’t a group chat , all separate P.MS) MY DOG IS SAD BECAUSE HER DAD IS GONE ?! I asked him to facetime me and talk to her and he thought i was acting crazy until we both saw how quickly she changed after hearing his voice 🤦🏻‍♀️ Is your labradoodle this sensitive when you or your partner leave ?

2024.05.15 04:14 residentalien2 What is the cost of cook

What's the TYPICAL monthly rate for a cook with following criteria:
  1. Come once a day, in the morning around 7 am
  2. Cook enough quantity for three meals for 5 adults
  3. Typical cooking is limited to making one dal (lentils), one sabji (vegetables), rice, and rotis only for morning (diffrent person makes rotis in afternoon and evening). Some days two sabjis are made.
  4. Just as an estimation, the above means cook will be working for 3 to 3.5 hours.
  5. Assume an average skill level cook. But I'm also curious to know what might be the cost of a really good cook.
Just need some ballpark figures.
