In old business. There are still regular reports that posts are submitting and not actually posting on profile or subreddit. The iOS drafts issue where they don't save and can't be accessed, is still present. The algorithm has been as bad or worse than it has ever been. It is especially bad on the mobile apps.
New UI. There is a persistent problem for some when a person replies to a comment and blocks you, all of your comments disappear from your profile until you find and delete that replied to comment. If there were other comments in the same chain, those may need to be deleted as well. It also sometimes includes your overview disappearing. The same thing happens for some when they reply and then block someone. They then have to go and unblock them to get everything to appear. That issue has been quiet this week, so it may have been recently fixed. Right now I have 6 original broken or missing things since the beginning, 3 newer broken things and a list of 18 annoyances on the new UI currently.
The new UI does not show if a subreddit is restricted or private. It also does not show if it is NSFW. I have to switch back to new.reddit to confirm all three. And with the new.reddit going away later this year, I am concerned these will not be fixed in time.
Issues. Reddit's Filters are becoming a major issue. With having no confirmation of what it could be looking for, and no consistent behavior by the Filters, it makes it very difficult to help when these reports come in. Sometimes they seem like subreddit new user restrictions might be the issue or a Reddit new account restriction on posting. Other times, it looks like crowd control. Still more there is no discernable reason why it removed something. I have confirmed it acts as the spam filter also at times. Sometimes it removes all posts after a date. sometimes it is only posts from one subreddit.
Issues. There have been a number of reports recently about media upload times taking exceedingly long or never load. Like 45 minutes for a video and it still did not load.
Issues. We are consistently seeing a number of reports of issues when trying to verify email. The emails never arrive, the link is immediately expired, or the message arrives and when clicking it it takes you back to Reddit without verifying the email.
Issues. Since Tuesday, there have been a large number of people reporting getting Redditcares messages. To many to be natural. I don't know if this is some kind of bug or bot attack.
This one is more for me, but may be helpful for others. When a user makes a post about their other account "not working", I open my profile and swap my name for theirs. The sh.reddit UI shows different and inconsistent things than the new.reddit UI. It also does give a crazy eyed snoo head when trying to look at new.reddit.

My big concern is that when new.reddit goes away later this year, I will not be able to give accurate advice anymore.
One thing indirectly help related that I have a question on is . Now that everything we can't help fix is going to bugs, is there any information you can share on how it is going to work? In the past, bug report tickets typically took a month or more to get a human answer from redditsupport. Are employees going to be answering on the subreddit? Taking posts down and answering via PM? Is the expectation users will have to fix everything except platform wide issues, even though we can't? Is the timeline going to look the same? I have noticed posts getting removed from bugs, are they removing duplicates like the rules say that will do? How do the users of the removed duplicates get help?

For context I got dumped back in 2022 in September and have been blocked ever since, I spent all of 2023 grieving and moving on and have gotten to a really good place with myself and accepting it and having moved on. Lately I’ve been going through my old stories on Instagram deleting anything from back then because it does me no good to have reminders from such a dark time. I clicked a story where I asked for music recommendations and I didn’t expect to see his responses there, his pfp had changed, when I clicked it took me back to our dm, it had the same old love filter and I could see his number of followers. Wifi adapter not recognised ubuntu 20.04 intel wifi 6 ax203

Hello everyone, I recently received a gift from my parents. It's the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G6 IRL. I would like to do some ROS projects on it, but the wifi adapter does not work (Intel WiFi 6 AX203). I tried upgrading to version 22.04, and the wifi adapter worked on it. However, I encountered issues running ROS, so I had to revert back to Ubuntu 20.04.

Hello, fellow spikes, I'm back to talk about everyone's favorite Standard archetype, Five Color Legends. As always, summoning u/scvirnay, and all the others who have contributed to the development and growth of this amazing deck over the last several months. I'll edit in links to others' posts when I'm done typing this out, as I'm 4 or 5 beers deep and can't be bothered to back out and search them up right now.
Well, it's been a long road full of rewards and setbacks since our boy posted this gem way back when. Since my last post, I won an RCQ with Legends (paper list here: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6153582#paper) and have made top 25-50 easily on Arena ladder whenever I have played it consistently. I run various versions of the deck, based on my feelings about the meta and how I want to play, and I want to do a deep dive into the card choices here. I've seen more 5c Legends in the last week since the PT than in the last 6 months combined. Lots of folks are experimenting with the archetype, and I hope my experience will benefit those working it out.
First, let's examine what I consider to be the core, almost non-negotiable cards in 5c Legends. (Current list here: https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/6372629#paper)
[[Jodah, the Unifier]] is simply the best lord in Standard, if not the game. Nothing gets you the amazing game-winning effect that Jodah does. I once played a paper match against some poor guy who just looked across the table and sighed, "Everything is so big," before scooping. What more can we say? 4 of.
[[Gwenna, Eyes of Gaea]] is the mana dork of choice. She's more like a mana Stacy, really, when she untaps and lets us cast a 3 mana legend on 4 after having put Jodah on board, triggering a cascade into another 1 or 2 mana legend to really seal the deal. Sadly, like many of our cards, she dies ignominiously to [[Cut Down]], but we play to win, unlike those so-called 'interactive' lily-livers. 4 of.
[[Thalia, Guardian of Thraben]]. You know her, you love her. Maybe not as much as that one guy (you know who I mean,) but she is the sticky glue that the scaredy pants midrange players get stuck in while we slam Jodah and Djeru. She shuts down the control players, the RDW, the prowess monkeys, all of it. We don't need instant and sorceries, because our creature quality is simply leagues above anything anyone else can play. 3 of, can consider another in the board.
[[Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard]]. I'm not gay, but if I was, Hajar would be the man for me. Not only does he play Captain Save-A-Hoe, he actually buffs our creatures for that little extra damage we need for a kill, or to surprise stomp that blocker Opp was so confident in. 3 of.
[[Skrelv, Defector Mite]]. Everyone's favorite Phyrexian, Bug Lady GF notwithstanding. We don't care about the toxic, but we love making lethal unblockable, or shutting down Opp's [[Go For the Throat]] just as they think they've found an answer to our onslaught. 3 of. 2 if you're brave and know what you're doing.
[[Djeru and Hazoret]]. These two and their shenanigans cannot be underestimated. So often slamming the board hasty and vigilant, digging for another legendary to cement the win, or with cards in hand allowing us to untap Gwenna and flood the board, this card is second only to Jodah as the main attraction of this deck. I run 3 main and 1 in the board for Domain and Control matchups. Nothing says fuck your Sunfall like hasty D&H for lethal. 10/10.
[[Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire]] and [[Boseiju, Who Endures]]. Non-creature spells in the main are for plebes with nervous dispositions. We only bring those out of the board when particular threats are identified, and then only sparingly for a targeted response to the degeneracy Opp displays. 2-3 copies of each of these marvelous channel lands provide us with all the interaction we generally need. Every playstyle is different and every player's tolerance for dead cards likewise. Run a balance of these and basics based on your own disposition. Pretty soon we won't be able to run them at all, so maybe we should get used to life without them, idk.
From here, everything is subjective in my opinion. Here are some cards I run, and some I don't, and my reasoning behind those decisions:
[Inti, Seneschal of the Sun]]. I love this card, and it's in almost all of my builds, but I may just be partial to it. The filtering is great, the counters are great, but it's also not the best turn 2 play. Its ability to overcome the hordes of boros convoke et al when it comes time to finish the game cannot be overlooked. I usually run 3, but it's not core to the identity of legends imo, and you may consider other options.
[[Dennick, Pious Apprentice]] is a card I have gone back and forth on many times, but its ability to gain life, partially shut down graveyard shenanigans, and recur as a flier that makes clues has persuaded me to include it as a one of at least in nearly every build. I've run as many as 3 in the 75, depending on what I'm seeing in the meta.
[[Samut, Vizier of Nakhtamun]], long overlooked, but seeing play in many gruul builds, is one of my favorite cards to run. While it dies to cut down, a vigilant hasty first striker that draws cards for 3 cannot be overlooked. (Speaking of cut down, I wish WOTC would print Fatal Push into standard so I could dodge it with all these 3 drops. I thought that was gonna work in pioneer but it didn't. Sad.) This card is dynamite against boros convoke as both an offensive and defensive threat. It shines against golgari, especially if we can pump it with an Inti. It synergies beautifully with Anim Pakal and Adeline. I love it, I just wish it wasn't another 3 drop that dies to cut down. Still, I think it's worth a look for your build.
[[Anim Pakal]]. This card is simultaneously so good and so fragile, and it's a huge priority target for removal. At 3 mana, a hugely overcrowded slot in Legends already, I just can't decide to love it or hate it. When I pump it with Halana and Alena, or when it somehow dodges Cut Down for the two whole stinking turns it usually takes to outgrow that hateful card, I love it. When I spend three mana for a 1/2 that can't block shit and it dies the turn it comes out I get big sad. But then the next game I get it swinging with Samut and draw 3 cards into UW control and I'm in love again. TL:DR: it needs to be in your arsenal, but it's a meta call, and a feel choice.
[[Adeline, Resplendent Cathar]] is Anim Pakal but different. Draws cards with Samut, gets out of control, but it doesn't usually die to cut down, it can block, and it's vigilant. It always pulls the removal if they have it, too, so if you untap with it, you're good til next turn. I've been as high as 3-of, and also left it out.
[[Jirina, Dauntless General]], like Hajar, can rescue our damsels and gentlemen in distress, but more importantly, she exiles graveyards. Not only that, but she makes Humans hexproof. In UW control and Domain matchups, I frequently swap her in for Hajar to dodge [Leyline Binding]], [[March of Swirling Mist]], etc. Auto-include post-board for Temur and Jund Analyst, as well as Roots, Looting Crime, Golgari-I-Put-Down-Atraxa-On-Three, etc. Imo she is a 3-of in the 75 in the current meta.
[[Halana and Alena, Partners]]. Maaaaaaan. When this card is good its so good. But if you hate 3 drops dying to Cut Down, do I have a fun challenge for you. I want this card to work, and sometimes it Works. I currently run it as a 1-of, mostly to dissuade Bats, but also for the rare occasion I can pump Anim Pakal. Also hilarious to make a 16/16 hasty Jodah. Early versions of 5c Legends ran 3, and I can see that working for some people, but I've had this card dead in hand or dead to Cut Down off a Raffine Connive before it could intercept the Bat it was meant for too many times to love it like I want to.
[[Kellan, the Kid]] is the new Kid on the block, and I have been running it as a 2-of. The life gain is super relevant against aggro decks like Boros and RDW. Occasionally I actually have a card in hand when my Jodah or Djeru triggers resolve. The flying is huge against Dimir and Esper. It doesn't die to Cut Down. Worth considering even as a 3-of. Definitely an auto-include as a 1-of imo.
[[Katilda, Dawnheart Prime]] is a card I have messed around with quite a bit. In 24-land variants, I think she can be dynamite. She usually just dies to removal, but so does anything you might play on 2 (except my boy Hajar who DOESN'T DIE TO CUT DOWN).] The real issue, and I'll just include them here, is the same as the one with [[Inga and Esika]] and [[Relic of Legends]], which is that they make you greedy. You CAN cast every creature in your hand, and tap all your mana and all your creatures on the board and then die to Sunfall or Opp removing your 1 or 2 blockers. At the end of the day, I think these cards are too greedy in the 5c Legends shell. Relic works in 4c because it's durdly and plays Gurk, and recycles channel lands and whatever. That's not our game. Our game is RESPONSIBLY slamming big mana, big power creatures for early wins, often. And to those of you who have run into me on the ladder and whipped me with your greedy mana dork decks, congrats. Please let me know if my assessment is wrong and you actually keep the dream alive long enough against Domain and Azorius to rank up.
[[Harbin, Vanguard Aviator]] is an interesting card in terms of value and position in the meta. I've played with him quite a bit, and I find him very effective against the many decks that play fliers as their primary creature type. Legends runs lots of Soldiers, but I've never gotten the combat trigger to go. I think this card is worth having in the arsenal, but I'm not running it at the moment.
[[Honest Rutstein]] is a real superstar. Currently I'm only running as a 1-of, but I've run as many as 3. Recursion combined with discount is great. Dies to Cut Down like every other damn card in the deck. Seriously, can we ban this stupid card already? Sorry. Anyway, I love it, play with it, build your whole deck around it if you want. Dynamite card.
[[Goddric, Cloaked Reveler]] is a card I have run as a 3-of, and also as a board option. Gwenna->Jodah->Goddric is insane. At least an 8/8 in the air, hasty, and often bigger. If you have [[Feldon, Ronom Excavator]] in the deck, you have the potential for the biggest turn 4 in Standard, at 34-36 damage swinging. This is the card for the true Aggro aficionado. Feldon just means you're a madlad. Go on with your bad self, madlad.
[[Sigard, Champion of Light]] is a card I have not played with, but just crafted. Looks amazing. Not a human, but the colors are easy. Great effects. Not 5 power so doesn't trigger Gwenna. We will see.
[[Sigarda, Font of Blessings]] is too cute imo. Automatic target for removal. Not a human. Doesn't trigger Gwenna. I just don't like 4 drops very much because the Gwenna->Jodah math om turn 4 doesn't work out. Still, it makes all your other stuff hexproof if you resolve it. I'd just rather be resolving a 3-drop off the Gwenna->Jodah hit. I think 4-drops are lackluster in this archetype.
MANA BASE
[[Secluded Courtyard]], [[Cavern of Souls]], and [[Plaza of Heroes]] are the core of this deck. Ironically, the mana base is what makes the deck possible, and also its greatest handicap. I run 2 Boseiju, 2 Eiganjo, 1 each Plains and Forest, and the rest pain lands. Lots of people like fast lands or even run a triome or two. My view is that I always want untapped mana. Gwenna into Jodah is useless if I have a 3-drop and play a tap land. Thanks, guess I'll just die now. I'd rather die tapping [[Battlefield Foege]] for a white to cast Djeru and Hazoret.
SIDEBOARD
I'm a big fan of lifelink in the board. Dennick, Kellan, whatever. [[Animist's Might]] is good. [[Pick Your Poison]] is a 2 or 3-of. [[Surge of Salvation]] is a good option. [[Smuggler's Surprise]] is Heroic intervention with upscaling options. Jirina is a must-have in the board with all the dumb graveyard stuff happening.
[[Tomik, Wielder of Law]] is great against go-wide, Esper, Dimir, etc, and doesn't die to Cut Down, which is dynamite. [[Ertai Resurrected]] is a 3-of in my board for Domain and Control variants to combat board wipes and Atraxa, Herd Migration, etc.
I don't like [[Temporary Lockdown]] or Brotherhood's End]] because of the dual pips. I don't really like non-creature spells in general, honestly, but I accept that sometimes we need them, and that Thalia is probably dead to Cut Down anyway. I take solace in the fact that it cost them 2 mana to do it.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Skrelv->Hajar or Thalia->Gwenna->Jodah->any 3-drop is one of the best sequences in magic. Following that up post-Sunfall with a hasty Djeru and Hazoret for lethal is why Richard Garfield invented this game. Everyone is sad that WOTC has nearly ruined competitive magic in favor of Commander nonsense. Playing Legends is our way of taking this game back with the cards they tried to destroy it with. I feel so lost. I don't know what to do and I feel sick. I (41F) have been no contact my with my mother for the past 11 years following years of physical, financial, and emotional abuse as well as years of parentification.
To give everyone an idea, my mother started abusing me physically and emotionally from the age of 6 , which is when we both moved out of the extended family home. I never knew my father so until I was 6 I grew up in a home with my mother, her 3 siblings and her parents (my grandparents).
Her physical abuse consisted of pinching and twisting until my skin blistered or tore. Grabbing me by the arm or leg so hard she'd leave a bruise in the shape of her hand. Throwing things at me like drinking glasses. A few times I couldn't go to school because the bruises were in places that were visible.
Her emotional abuse was just as bad. Telling me she'd throw me outside and lock the door so the boogeyman would take me if I didn't do exactly what she said. This was all when I was under the age of 10.
The parentification started when I was 11 when my first half brother was born. He was my sole responsibility. Same when my second half brother was born when I was 18.
The financial abuse started when I was 12 when I had my first tutoring job. She's take my money to buy alcohol. I would hide my money so I could buy food for me and brother or my cat since she'd forget and just say to "eat whatever".
Financially, she wrecked my credit. I lent her my credit card when I was 21 (stupid I know) to help her with her business. She said, as my mother, I owed it to her. Back then I was still in the mindset I was taught growing up. That family was what was most important. Now I know better and have worked hard for years to build my credit back up.
Back to my dilemma. We (me and my bf 45M) have been invited to a friend's wedding. There's a chance my mother may be there.
What makes me anxious is we have a 9.5 month old baby girl. Yes I had my baby late. There's a long tradition of the women in my family being abusive. I didn't want children for the longest time. I don't regret having my daughter. She's my world and I love her more than anything and I know my mother would demand to see her if given the chance. The thought of my mother seeing her and just seeing my mother in general makes me feel sick with anxiety and on the verge of sobbing.
These emotions come up because I think of my daughter being exposed to her and I can do is cry.
On the other hand I want to go to the wedding. My friends who are getting married know my history with my mother. I have a feeling they'd invite her to be polite.
How can I get through this?

Commenter: I'm sorry you had to deal with all that. While I can't tell friends who they should invite to their wedding, I would think good friends would be aware of the friction. I'd certainly ask if my mother had been invited. If they answer yes, then I would skip the wedding. If your mother is still drinking and abusive, there's no way I'd risk running into her again. Just not worth it.

That's a good idea. I will ask if she was invited/ RSVPed yes. She drinks less now. Her heavy drinking resulted in her getting type 2 diabetes. Even with less alcohol, she apparently is still very manipulative and abusive according to my youngest half brother.

Commenter: Wishing you luck. Don’t blame you at all! My mother’s father (grandfather is too familial for him) was a narcissist, abuser too. Had to control every and all situations. Refused to give him any leeway and never spoke to him for the last 10 or so years of his life. If I had kids, I would not have allowed him to be apart of their lives either. My mother is the way she is because of her mother who was so much worse. That's why I had my daughter later in life. I was child Free out of fear of being like them but my step-dad and boyfriend both told me the same thing: I know how not to parent.

I don't know if this is how we update but I'm going to do it anyway lol. Thank you to everyone who commented and you all had the same advice. So I contacted the bride last night. She wrote me back this morning. She did not invite my mother. She knows a little bit of my history with my mother and said she rarely speaks to her. She wants me and my step-father there. He too would not want my mother there (he went through a lot of abuse too at my mother's hand). So my friend wanted us to have a good time and is not inviting my mother.
Thank you all again so very much for reading my post. I was so afraid of being that person who causes drama over who is/isn't invited and didn't want to cause my friend stress that I started imagining all possible scenarios of what could happen if she was that and spiraled into an emotional crying mess.

Title: I had to end my 11 yr NC with my mother and her siblings for a family event. I will see her for the first time this Saturday. I'm overthinking everything...
I (41F) went NC with my entitled narcissistic mother and her siblings 11 years ago after years of physical, emotional and financial abuse as well as years of parentification starting when I was 11 yrs old. None of her siblings said or did anything. They just looked the other way and told me I was too emotional and exaggerate everything.
My brother (30M) and his girlfriend (22F) are having a baby shower for their first baby this Saturday, my mother is organizing it and sent out invites and created a Facebook event. This is why I went stopped my NC, so I could see the event and mark myself as going.
I refuse to let a POS human being prevent me from being there for brother and his girlfriend, even if that person is my mother. I'm not going to lie, I spiralled when I first saw my mother's invite. All the years of abuse, days of missed elementary school because the bruises were in visible places, all came back. My step-dad (54M) talked me down and we're going together. He was abused by her just as bad as I was, if not worse.
My mother is organizing the baby shower because my brother is close with her. Yes he knows what she did but thinks I should just forgive and forget, which I have multiple times but that never stopped the abuse.
My biggest concern is my boyfriend and I have a child (1F) and when my brother found out, he started again with how I should forgive and forget. I told him I don't expect him to not tell my mother about my child but to respect that she will not be in my child's life. Since my daughter was born there were some not so subtle attempts from her to like pictures of my daughter. She even sent me a friend request once, which I deleted right away. She's the jealous vindictive type so it wouldn't surprise me if she pressured my brother to get his girlfriend pregnant so she'd have a grand-child too (She's jealous of my step-dad for being a grand dad).
For those wondering why I didn't block her, I did but unblocked every now and then because I was paranoid she'd try something with grand-parents rights, even though I know she doesn't have a leg to stand on for that or try to get sympathy for not seeing my daughter. This still bothers me to this day sometimes. The nightmares and hormones have me paralyzed in fear. All this to say my mother would be the type of person to post about this on social media and if she does, I want to be able to get screenshots of it and address it right away because she's a master manipulator.
I decided to take a big step and started therapy for the first time last week. Therapy was always something ridiculed and seen as something for weak people by my family. My boyfriend (44M) agreed with the therapy and even asked me how I felt afterwards. He's my rock and my everything. We've been together for 20 years. For those wondering, why we aren't married because we don't really don't care. We love each other and for us that's enough. Therapy helped a lot. I have another session this week, two days before I see her again. My therapist called me brave, which honestly surprised me. I never thought of myself as being brave.
Anyway, I'll update after the baby shower.

OOP: thank you for your comment. I do agree with you that my feelings are completely secondary to him. Unfortunately, he's very much like her personality wise but his girlfriend is a gem and keeps him level headed (even he admits its lol). My dad and I have an agreement that if either of us are uncomfortable we'll leave right away. We're going as each other's support. Plus I worked really hard on a crocheted baby blanket, hats and mitts lol.

Yes it's going to be stressful but after having lost my entire family when going NC, I went a few years with no contact with anyone, including my step-dad and brothers. She had turned everyone against me which destroyed me. I felt so abandoned. Once her lies, cheating and abuse were exposed is when my step-dad and one of my two brothers came back in my life. The one brother who came back (23M) isn't the one who's baby shower I'm going to (30M). Yes there's a massive age difference between us (I'm 41F). I raised the two of them alone. I felt like I had lost everything when they went NC. Them coming back felt like a second chance. Brother 30M came back a few years after. He's very easily manipulated and has the same kind of personality as my mother: vain, narcissistic and selfish but he's a watered down version without the abuse.
Basically I'm putting myself in this situation for my second chance little family I was able to form after the fallout. Seems ridiculous but I'd feel terrible to not try.

I cannot imagine spending time around someone that was abusive to me for years just to appease my brother who didn't even care that I was abused, still maintains a close relationship with my abuser and on top of it has the audacity to tell me to forgive and forget. And I get Op is fond of her brother's gf but like someone else suggested take her out to lunch or do something else nice with her, like a spa day and give her the gift.

OOP: As much as I would love to do all the above, it's really hard with how far my brother and his girlfriend live and their job. They both work really long shifts. I know it's confusing and even I wonder sometimes, especially that he plays off my trauma like I'm exaggerating, but the best way I can put it is in a way we have a way to start over. After the year did abuse, not just to me but my step-dad also, we want to try and make our little family of chosen people work. We never got a chance to do that, ever. I would have to do a post by itself about my family and all the bullshit that lead to the NC. That would be a massive post in itself. So much to unpack but therapy is helping.
Lastly, I was happy to hear my brother's girlfriend put her foot down with certain things with my mother. My brother will get to see our mother's real personality with his baby. I hope he steps up for his girlfriend and their baby.

OOP: I've really been leveraging "No" as a full sentence and have been using that as a filter for people I want to keep in my life. If people can't respect me when I say no, then what else are they going to disrespect me on.
At first I did not want to go. I had a full blown crying, shaking, dry heaving meltdown. After composing myself, I called my dad and he talked me through it and said he was going. He was heavily abused too so I know it's just as hard for him. That's why we're going as each other's support. As for my daughter, she's staying home with my boyfriend having a daddy daughter day.

Commenter: Eh, I would suggest just using her first name, not "mother." Deny the relationship. Twist that knife.

OOP: I have. I use mother here because I've used "egg donor" in the past and people were super confused. Even to my step-dad and brothers I call her by her first name.

(Editor's note- OOP commented at one point that she had a handmade gift for the new baby) As for the shower, have you considered that by going you are letting her win? She gets to show everyone how mean you are to her, she gets to create drama and blame it on you. Think on this, a narcissist thrives on attention any attention, even bad, is a balm to their soul.
She will do everything in her power to make you look bad. There is no way to win, except by ignoring her existence.

OOP: Thank you! I have considered that side too. I'm going by my dad's experience. He had to see her a month ago or so for the gender reveal and he said she looked resigned. Almost emotionless. She's already painted me in a bad light to the entire family (her sisters, her brother and their kids) who will also be there by the way. But they're all so non-confrontational and fake.
I know my mother is throwing the baby shower for exactly that reason. She wants attention. My dad and I agreed to leave right away if either of us feels uncomfortable.

OOP: Thank you for your comment. We used to be close a long ago. We've gotten a lot better in the past 2 years. He was really badly manipulated by my mother for many years. He took for granted that what she was telling him was true because she's our mother and she wouldn't lie, which is so dumb, I know. He's learning that more and more. I think he's seeing it more now that she keeps trying to ask him for money, like I warned him she would.

I think it'll be more my brother's girlfriend putting her foot down with my mother's involvement (she'll probably try to involve herself in everything). My brother will be forced to choose and in general does what his girlfriend says since she's the most down to earth, realistic and normal out of the two. She keeps him level, his words exactly.

Holy cow I did not expect this many comments! Thank you all so much! You have no idea how much I appreciate it. That's what I love at MarkNarrations. I love this sub. One thing I want to tell everyone, you don't need to worry about me breaking down, crying, or having a meltdown. I'm at a point in my life where I don't get sad. I get angry and my worry is if she tries anything, my step-dad will have to jump him and pull me back. And I have no problems calling her out on her abuse. Many years ago she made him nearly homeless where he only had enough money to pay his mortgage but had to go to the food bank for food. He didn't tell me because he knew I probably would have done something I'd regret later. He only told me after the fact and I cried tears of anger and disbelief at being related to someone so vile. When I get overwhelmed I cry, which I find so embarrassing.
I am seeing therapist this Thursday, two days before the shower and I'm really looking forward to it. I will keep you all updated. Thank you all again so much. I really love this sub <3

Thank you all again so much for all the love and support. I'm sorry I didn't clarify this before. I have 2 brothers 30M and 23M. My brothers are my half-brothers (We share the same mother. Their father is my step-dad). Just like how I call my step-dad "dad", I call my half-brothers, "brothers".All the comments, advise and suggestions have been amazing and some really really funny. I'm feeling so much better after reading all the support and am started to look forward to the baby shower, especially that my step-dad texted me saying he met my mother's husband this week and that the man's face was priceless after my step-dad introduced himself to him. I asked for more details but he said we'll talk about it on the drive over.
After that, I wanted to give you all a full scope of who my mother is and what kind of a piece of shit human being she really is. I put it in point form instead of a giant block of text:

• Her physical abuse started at 6-7 years old. It was pinching and twisting until my skin tore. Grabbing me by the arm or leg so hard she'd leave hand shaped bruises. Slapping me across the face so hard, I'd have the imprint of her hand on my face. Throwing objects at me. She almost broke my orbital bone when I was 8 after throwing a glass at my face after I said a swear word in public for the first time. A few times I couldn't go to school because the bruises were in visible places.
• Telling me she'd throw me outside and lock the door so the boogeyman would take me if I didn't do exactly what she said. This was all when I was under the age of 10.
• The parentification started when I was 11 when my first brother was born. He was my sole responsibility. Same when my second brother was born when I was 18.
• The financial abuse started when I was 12 when I had my first job tutoring the neighbour's son. She'd take my money to buy alcohol. I would hide my money so I could buy food for me and brother or my cat since she'd forget and just say to "eat whatever".
• Financially speaking, she wrecked my credit. I lent her my credit card when I was 21 (stupid I know) to help her with her business. She said, as my mother, I owed it to her. Back then I was still in the mindset I was taught growing up. That family was what was most important. Now I know better and have worked hard for years to build my credit back up.
• She tried to get back in contact with me 8 years ago by wishing me happy birthday on facebook under my brother's comment (they're facebook friends). This was 2 weeks after we were contacted about inheritance following my grandfather's death a few months before. She hadn't contacted me for anything the 3 years previous. So gross, especially since she inherited way more than I or my brothers did.
• As for my step-dad - she cheated on him for 6 years with some guy she met down in the Caribbean. So not only is she abusive, she's also a cheating piece of shit. She would fly out down there 6 to 7 times a year by herself for her "me" time and would lose it when my step-dad asked to join her. All the money he gave her to pay the mortgage, hydro, and other utilities, she'd send to her boy toy, now her husband. My step-dad almost lost his house and she ruined his credit too by racking up credit card and cell phone bills. Her credit was so bad, she couldn't get a phone. I had had enough and confronted her. They split up not long after and that's when all my mother's lies and manipulation came to light.
• They owned a company together that my mother's brother bought from them. My step-dad and mom had each taken out a loan with the bank to start the company together and were still making payments to it after they split. My step-dad paid his loan off first and that made my mother so angry and jealous she had her brother help her take my step-dad to court to sue him and have him pay her loan. She won. He had to go to the food bank for a while because he couldn't afford anything else but the mortgage and hydro.

I have therapy this afternoon and can't wait. I felt so much better last week after just 1 session. You all have made me feel so much stronger and confident. Let me know if you have any questions or need clarification on anything I wrote above.

UPDATE! Today was the baby shower and omg! I'm putting everything in point form because there's a lot to update you all on. I'm typing from my cellphone as I'm rocking my daughter to sleep. I missed her so much today.
1 - my dad invited his female best friend to come with us to the baby shower. We'll call her Sally. She's a wonderful woman with a big heart and very protective of my dad, especially since she knows my mother fairly well and works at the same place as her. The first time she and I met we were talking about each other's work and she was going on about this awful co-worker who was so bossy, blamed everyone else for her mistakes and took the praise for other people's work. Turns out it was my mother lol. Basically my mother was not happy Sally was coming.
2 - Both my dad and Sally said my mother texted them to say the baby shower started at 1:30. It didn't. The invite clearly said 1pm. I told them we're getting there for 1pm and was 99% sure my mother was trying to make them look bad out of jealousy. I was right. We arrived at 12:55 pm and my mother's deer in the headlights look on her face said it all.
Guys I stayed composed. I did it! My hands were shaking but I kept them in my pockets. Sally saw this and squeezed my arm.
My mother came out of her daze and came over "oh OP! You came!? It's nice to see you!"
I smirked at her obvious lie and discomfort at being caught, said "Nice to see you too. Where do I put my gift?" She took my gift and put it on the table with the other gifts.
3 - My mother's two siblings showed up with their daughters. One sister greeted me like an acquaintance, which I appreciated. The other pretended I wasn't even there.
4 - my dad, Sally and I sat at a table with one of my dad's former work buddies. We had a blast. My mother was not impressed. Shooting us dirty looks. So much so my dad's friend turned to me and said "uh oh. I think we might need to keep it down". Everyone else was talking loudly, we weren't the only ones. She just didn't like that we were having fun.Me "forget her. She always looks like that." My dad spit out his drink laughing. I didn't say it loud enough for her to hear (at least I don't think so and didn't care in the moment to be honest) but we did get more dirty looks lol.
4 - my mother whipped out a headset with a microphone hooked to a tiny speaker that she hooked to the back of her pants, like she was some sort of talk show host. I shit you not. I didn't notice until my dad said "what the fuck..." I looked over and couldn't help but laugh. Did I mention my mother thrives on being the center of attention, even at her own son's baby shower.
5 - she had us play games and whatnot which was fun. I participated and had fun, until my mother handed diapers with melted chocolate bars on them and gave them out to my two brothers my dad and another guy at the shower. She wanted them to taste what was in the diaper and guess the chocolate bar. The way the chocolate was melted you could tell some of the crotch of the diaper had turned gelatinous (which is what it's supposed to do when a baby pees. I doubt that gel is for human consumption). Me in my now very comfortable seat at the shower blurted "that's disgusting". I got a few responses agreeing with " uh yeah... That's gross".
6 - then there was the bottle drinking game. My mother dropped the bottle full of grape juice in front of my dad like he was a bug she was trying to squish with the bottle. It was so obvious that the girl at the table next to us tapped my shoulder and asked why "the woman with the microphone just pitched the bottle to the poor guy in the blue shirt". I told her the guy was my dad and the woman was his ex, my mother. The girl apologized profusely. I told her not to, that she said nothing wrong and that my mother was just like that.
7 - my dad and I went out for supper afterwards and what I found out over guys... OMG! Turns out my mother was upset with my dad because she asked my other brother (not the one having the baby shower) to try and put in a good word for her to my dad because she wanted to get back together with him and he just laughed. He didn't know what else to say. Need I remind you all that she's currently married to the man she cheated on my dad with for 6 years!
She married and sponsored this man from the Caribbeans to come to Canada. According to my brother, this poor man is treated like a tenant and is forced to live in her basement. WTF
My dad laughed when he saw my face and told me not to worry, that there's no way in hell he would ever consider getting back with her. I told him good because I'd have to smack some sense into him if he did.
He's 99% positive she's trying to get back with my dad to try and reconcile with me to have access to my daughter. He said he'd rather die than let that happen.
So there you have it. What a shit show, but it was a fun shit show that I did not expect in the least. Thank you all again for all your comments and support. It was so very appreciated.

Team Snapchat chats and messages were driving me crazy because I was getting daily recommendations for stupid, trending filters. I blocked them and I have had peace for about 8 months. All of a sudden today, I go to Snapchat to chat with my brother and I see 4 pending messages from Team Snapchat. Apparently they revoked the ability to block them because the “block” option under “Manage Friendship” isn’t available anymore. Color me annoyed. 😑
Edit: looks like they made a NEW account that is unblock-able.

In old business. There has been reports that posts are submitting and not actually posting on profile or subreddit again and more often than before. The iOS drafts issue is still present. The algorithm is sketchy as ever.
New UI. There is a persistent problem for some when a person replies to a comment and blocks you, all of your comments disappear from your profile until you find and delete that replied to comment. If there were other comments in the same chain, those may need to be deleted as well. It also sometimes includes your overview disappearing. The same thing happens for some when they reply and then block someone. They then have to go and unblock them to get everything to appear.
The new UI does not show if a subreddit is restricted or private. It also does not show if it is NSFW. I have to switch back to new.reddit to confirm all three.
Issues. Reddit's Filters are becoming a major issue. With having almost no knowledge of what it could be looking for, and no constant behavior by the Filters, there is very little we can do to help when these reports come in. Sometimes they seem like subreddit new user restrictions might be the issue or a Reddit new account restriction on posting. Other times, it looks like crowd control. Still more there is no discernable reason why it removed something. It acts like spam filter also at times. I can only confirm the spam filter one because it removed post of mine to my subreddit and specifically said Removed by Reddit and Reddits Spam Filter. Sometimes it removes all posts after a date. sometimes it is only posts from one subreddit.
Issues. The issues we have been seeing with hacked accounts seems to be slowing down to a normal level. My concern is that some people are also getting hacked when they have complex passwords and 2fa already. This was elevated for 8 weeks following the huge surge of suspicious activity account locks that happened 10 weeks ago.
This one is more for me, but may be helpful for others. When a user makes a post about their other account "not working", I open my profile and swap my name for theirs. The sh.reddit UI shows different and inconsistent things than the new.reddit UI. It also does give a crazy eyed snoo head when trying to look at new.reddit.

One thing indirectly help related that I have a question on is bugs. Now that everything we can't help fix is going to bugs, is there any information you can share on how it is going to work? In the past, bug report tickets typically took a month or more to get a human answer from redditsupport. Are employees going to be answering on the subreddit? Taking posts down and answering via PM? Is the expectation users will have to fix everything except platform wide issues, even though we can't? Is the timeline going to look the same? I have noticed posts getting removed from bugs, are they removing duplicates like the rules say that will do? How do the users of the removed duplicates get help?

So I work for a school running an FG600-E running the most recent v7 build and out of necessity we have Google Safe Search enabled and QUIC blocked. Recently, over around the last month, we're seeing YouTube Restricted Mode blocking far more content than we've ever seen before. Educational videos used regularly in the past wont load but instead we'll see a 'YouTube Restricted Mode' block... Until we don't. There in lies the problem, sometimes a video is blocked, other times it's not. It's not a specific video, it's not a specific user, it's not a specific device, it's not a specific policy nor is it a specific time. Just randomly, the same video will run fine for a user, then suddenly it will be blocked, then unblocked again. It's extremely replicable behaviour, even myself I am able to sit here throughout the day trying to access a video on the Black Death. One minute it will work, the next I will refresh and it wont. Try again in 30 minutes, it might work, another 30 minutes it might not. All this happening with absolutely no changes to the firewall. Has anyone else seen this behaviour? I only recently went to v7 because we got the added functionality of a 'Video Filter' under Security Profiles, however even having explicitly allowed the channel and applying that Video Filter to each Firewall Policy, I still see the inconsistent behaviour.

I was here a while back asking about how to block YouTube properly on an iPhone (I came to the conclusion that it’s almost impossible to do it comprehensively without significant negative side effects even with supervision/profile because of how iOS handles blacklisting of domains).
I currently have YouTube and Instagram domains blocked under the “adult content” filtering system (which means I have to deal with the annoyance of occasionally unblocking a domain that isn’t actually “adult” and got caught in the crossfire). This doesn’t prevent me from downloading the apps, which I could do with Configurator, but so far is being avoided purely due to my intense hatred of the iPhone apps and reduced control over the content (ads and such): I used both in browser with filtering/blocking on.
I’ve since realised that it’s almost immaterial, however, because I will simply find another way to inject dopamine blasts into my eyes: if it’s not YouTube then it’s Instagram, and if I block both of those, I try BlueSky, and when I realise that’s not doing it for me, I end up here on Reddit even though I am very much Not A Reddit Person in general. This is quite likely to be highly correlated with the prevalence of ADHD traits that have recently (finally) led to me going through a diagnostic assessment process to see whether I am going to be formally diagnosed or just told that I have traits but it’s not considered severe enough to actually diagnose and treat (another thing piling on the anxiety is how determined the doctor seemed to be to not end up at an ADHD diagnosis).
I have a lot of anxiety about the way my career is going which is of course adding to the difficulty of engaging with it which only makes the problem worse. The only thing that seems to keep me away from the doomscrolling pit of despair is good/engaging things happening IRL, which lately isn’t going so well and I am not finding it to be something I am effective at enforcing for myself (yes, perhaps I should simply “touch grass”, but that too gives me anxiety about task avoidance and is harder work and less instantly gratifying than sitting scrolling bullshit on the internet for seven hours).
I’m going to see if I can also block Reddit, and find out if having access on my computers is still enough of a problem if I get it blocked on my phone. I wonder what my next life-wasting distraction will turn out to be? 😅

Heya fellow ISFPs or anyone else in that matter! I'm an ENFP (F) with a friend who is an ISFP (F). I just ranting here and hoping for some advice on what to do. Just a quick note though I love ISFPs and I don't have anything against this MBTI type at all! Anyways let me begin.
We have been friends for nearly 2 years now and I was happy with the friendship up until like 2 months ago. Roughly 3 months ago we underwent a friendship drama within specific toxic people in the friend group who wanted to tear everyone apart. Most of us (including myself) easily cut ties with those individuals and ever since then the friend group has been closer than ever! YAY! Unfortunately it doesn’t end there. ISFP (yes, I'm going to call her ISFP here) did not cut ties with them because she likes drama and ISFP is lowkey afraid of cutting them off. Though she makes excuses saying they are clinging onto her and how she feels forced to talk to them. I don’t know what the dynamic really is but I’ve seen her hanging out with them and approaching so she might be lying but I'm only doubting ISFP is lying because she hardly ever does lie. Whatever, that subject is none of my business anymore but I'm just kind of scared her environment may force her to be unintentionally toxic to those who care.
Ever since the friendship drama ended and most of us cut out the toxic people, me and my ISFP friend have been quite close. Ever since then she has been venting to me once or twice a week because her life is full of drama, tons of responsibilities, family problems, also the friendship drama with those toxic people is never ending for her, she has social anxiety, she's a busybody, and (possibly depressed?)... And don’t get me wrong! I like her venting to me because I feel as if she trusts me and that makes me happy. I do feel as if she put a lot of her burdens on herself though. I helped her and gave her a lot of solutions and comfort to her problems and she used to say “hey this is why you are my venting buddy” and I felt really happy that I was making her feel better. She assigned me some invisible role of the “mind reader”. I'm supposed to understand her, I do mostly but sometimes I can’t help but have my feelings get in my face.
However for the past month an intriguing question popped up in my head “is she manipulating me?”
You might be wondering, “What? You said you guys are close, etc, etc”
What I didn’t mention is during small arguments she tends to victimize herself a ton. She is a sensitive person I get it but it's kind of hypocritical of her to jokingly insult people and get offended when they do the same. Also she blocked me a month ago on discord because I’m annoying and only unblocks me when she needs to vent or has smt important to say. I know her irl so no worries.
Note: I’m about to say I love language a whole ton. Just so you know I mean it in a completely platonic way. I mean expressing your care and love for your friends in any way possible and it can be indirectly too. For example: I love quality time with my friends, and I can be very clingy.
I kind of felt unappreciated lately because I always give too much unreturned love to my friends. I don’t really mind as long as I know they care for me in some way. I understand they all have different love languages. SOOO- for about the past 2 weeks I made it my mission to find all of their love languages so I know and could feel appreciated. I realized I needed a lot of 1 on 1 time with friends to find out so that's what I did. I focused on 1 friend at a time and by doing that I found wondering if I was coming out as abnormally clingy. Instead, most of my friends just kept jokingly called me annoying and I didn't really care.
Anyways a lot of my friends do show me affection in their own ways and now I'm mostly happy… except I can't find how my ISFP friend shows that she cares for me.
Ever since then she's been calling me super annoying which I understand. She vents to a bunch of other people now and tells them more, so I don't feel as if she especially trusts me but I should be happy because now she has people to lean on when in trouble, others who care. She doesn't keep me updated when she vents. Recently she doesn't wanna talk to me anymore unless she has no one with heeveryone else is busy/she needs to vent to me. She also has this habit some days (1-4 times a month ish?) of ignoring any selected person or everyone js bc she feels like it and it's usually me along with some other people often who she ignores. She expects us to understand that, which I do. I get it there is no hate involved whatsoever but I hate being ignored. It really hurts my feelings. I feel hurt that I'm tempted to annoy her to get her to talk to me and usually that doesn't work. Other days when she does this I feel like ignoring her back when she wants to talk to me.. But I can't because idk how, and I don't feel satisfied doing that. I feel like the idea of doing that to someone who is my good friend makes me feel really guilty and bad. I don’t want to stoop to her level because oddly enough I feel the need to stabilize the friendship.
Now I just feel like she's unconsciously manipulating me and only comes when she needs me. When she asks me for mini favors I do them for her but when I ask she tells me to do it myself so recently I have been saying “no” when she asks me to do stuff for her which triggered her to hang out with me less. It might just be me but the friendship feels 1 sided, unreciprocated and idk what to do. Maybe I'm just delusional.. A lot of people find me emotionally expressive including her which is really untrue. Maybe that's why she vents, because she thinks I have no problems. She told me the other day that I’m so emotionally stable and I think she might envy that. I'm also not one to judge.
Anyways, I was planning on hiding how I felt because she's sensitive, under lots of pressure, and I don't wanna make her uncomfortable so I'm scared she won't trust me. I also both fear vulnerability as much as I crave it. It’s strange but I've found myself being tempted or having close calls of blurting everything out loud about how I feel about this to either her or some other close friend. I figured if I felt like I might accidentally blurt how I feel I'd rather her know than anyone else so we can deal with this problem together. I know in reality I’m not actually inferior and this is just me feeling as if I'm always wrong. I usually need someone else to affirm to me that my logic is correct. I’m scared I’ll back away when about to confront her because I’ll think what if she's not manipulating me? What if she truly cares and I'm just dumb? What if these are false accusations? Does that make me a bad person now if I call her out?
Anyways I hope you know my ISFP friend has great aspects to her too. It's just that I felt as if I really had to talk to someone about how I felt and what I’ve been noticing lately. I don’t want to complain about her, and I’m sorry if I am but I’m just really hurt. I’m done justifying people just to hide in the dark longer.

As you can tell from the title I’m an ENFP (F) with a friend who is an ISFP (F). Anyways we have been friends for nearly 2 years now and I was happy with the friendship up until like 2 months ago. Roughly 3 months ago we underwent a friendship drama within specific toxic people in the friend group who wanted to tear everyone apart. Most of us (including myself) easily cut ties with those individuals and ever since then the friend group has been closer than ever! YAY! Unfortunately it doesn’t end there. ISFP (yes, I'm going to call her ISFP here) did not cut ties with them because she likes drama and ISFP is lowkey afraid of cutting them off. Though she makes excuses saying they are clinging onto her and how she feels forced to talk to them. I don’t know what the dynamic really is but I’ve seen her hanging out with them and approaching so she might be lying but I'm only doubting ISFP is lying because she hardly ever does lie. Whatever, that subject is none of my business anymore but I'm just kind of scared her environment may force her to be unintentionally toxic to those who care.
Ever since the friendship drama ended and most of us cut out the toxic people, me and my ISFP friend have been quite close. Ever since then she has been venting to me once or twice a week because her life is full of drama, tons of responsibilities, family problems, also the friendship drama with those toxic people is never ending for her, she has social anxiety, she's a busybody, and (possibly depressed?)... And don’t get me wrong! I like her venting to me because I feel as if she trusts me and that makes me happy. I do feel as if she put a lot of her burdens on herself though. I helped her and gave her a lot of solutions and comfort to her problems and she used to say “hey this is why you are my venting buddy” and I felt really happy that I was making her feel better. She assigned me some invisible role of the “mind reader”. I'm supposed to understand her, I do mostly but sometimes I can’t help but have my feelings get in my face.
However for the past month an intriguing question popped up in my head “is she manipulating me?”
You might be wondering, “What? You said you guys are close, etc, etc”
What I didn’t mention is during small arguments she tends to victimize herself a ton. She is a sensitive person I get it but it's kind of hypocritical of her to jokingly insult people and get offended when they do the same. Also she blocked me a month ago on discord because I’m annoying and only unblocks me when she needs to vent or has smt important to say. I know her irl so no worries.
Note: I’m about to say I love language a whole ton. Just so you know I mean it in a completely platonic way. I mean expressing your care and love for your friends in any way possible and it can be indirectly too. For example: I love quality time with my friends, and I can be very clingy.
I kind of felt unappreciated lately because I always give too much unreturned love to my friends. I don’t really mind as long as I know they care for me in some way. I understand they all have different love languages. SOOO- for about the past 2 weeks I made it my mission to find all of their love languages so I know and could feel appreciated. I realized I needed a lot of 1 on 1 time with friends to find out so that's what I did. I focused on 1 friend at a time and by doing that I found wondering if I was coming out as abnormally clingy. Instead, most of my friends just kept jokingly called me annoying and I didn't really care.
Anyways a lot of my friends do show me affection in their own ways and now I'm mostly happy… except I can't find how my ISFP friend shows that she cares for me.
Ever since then she's been calling me super annoying which I understand. She vents to a bunch of other people now and tells them more, so I don't feel as if she especially trusts me but I should be happy because now she has people to lean on when in trouble, others who care. She doesn't keep me updated when she vents. Recently she doesn't wanna talk to me anymore unless she has no one with heeveryone else is busy/she needs to vent to me. She also has this habit some days (1-4 times a month ish?) of ignoring any selected person or everyone js bc she feels like it and it's usually me along with some other people often who she ignores. She expects us to understand that, which I do. I get it there is no hate involved whatsoever but I hate being ignored. It really hurts my feelings. I feel hurt that I'm tempted to annoy her to get her to talk to me and usually that doesn't work. Other days when she does this I feel like ignoring her back when she wants to talk to me.. But I can't because idk how, and I don't feel satisfied doing that. I feel like the idea of doing that to someone who is my good friend makes me feel really guilty and bad. I don’t want to stoop to her level because oddly enough I feel the need to stabilize the friendship.
Now I just feel like she's unconsciously manipulating me and only comes when she needs me. When she asks me for mini favors I do them for her but when I ask she tells me to do it myself so recently I have been saying “no” when she asks me to do stuff for her which triggered her to hang out with me less. Hi all, I was trying to apply cosmetic/CSS filters to specific URLs rather than a whole domain, but I'm not entirely sure if this is possible. Basically, I wanted to block a CSS class on most pages because it was used on an annoying div, but if I went to a specific subpage, I wanted that CSS class to be unblocked so I could see the div. This threw the error in the title.
Whenever I had ## in the filter already, and tried to modify it by adding a slash after the TLD, or add to the start of a URL, it would throw the "Invalid Filter: Bad Domain Error". For example, hello.com/##.class or hello.com###id would return this error.
I was eventually advised that "these filters are applied to all pages on the specified domain" and that "Cosmetic filtering in uBlock Origin primarily works with domain names rather than URL patterns." Can anyone confirm if that's an accurate understanding?
If this is true, then I would like to suggest that the error acknowledges this is in some way because of the cosmetic filtering restricting the input to only domain names, rather than trying to assume that whatever the input given is supposed to be a domain name.
Is this something I should submit to the Github issue tracker? I've never used it before so is it as simple as just filling out the form? Thanks in advance!

I have had Shaw (now Rogers) 1.5Gb down/150Mb up for many years. Telus sent me a SPRINGSAVINGS promo code for Residential service. The promo was:

1.0Gb up/1.0Gb down for $65/month on a 2-year contract 1.5Gb up/1.5Gb down for $75/month on a 2-year contract 3.0Gb up/3.0Gb down for $85/month on a 2-year contract 

I signed up for 3.0Gb and after a lengthy installation process, I was testing. I never canceled Rogers/Shaw yet. However, the brass tacks of it all is I hate to report that Telus filters incoming ports for Residential service. If this matters to you, it's a big problem. Their security measures policy mentions certain ports are blocked but in fact, all incoming ports seem to be blocked.
From a consumer-like-me point of view, the security policy is stupidly restricting "to protect me". However, if you pay (a lot) more, you can get a business account that does not block any ports. Go figure.
I had 15 days to trial the service and decided to cancel after 5 days. There is no option (I've talked to many Telus departments - tech support tiers, loyalty, business sales, etc) to unblock ports except to go to a business account which doesn't block ports. The business account is over $200/month on a 3-year contract (without a promo). With a promo, I was offered as low as $115/month on a 5-year contract, $135/month on a 3-year contract.
There are a lot of technical details behind my testing but not worth mentioning here. Things may be different on the lower tier speeds but for 3Gb, you receive the Network Access Hub (Technicolor NH20T), an SPF+ XGS PON and the WiFi 6E. The NH20T is what's registered on the Telus back end, so you cannot bypass the NAH, plugging the SPF+ module directly into another device.
It was a fun 5 days... but it wasn't something that was going to work for me in the long run. Again, if having incoming ports open is important to you, don't bother. Rogers/Shaw doesn't block ports.

In old business. There has been reports that posts are submitting and not actually posting on profile or subreddit again. The iOS drafts issue is still present. The algorithm is sketchy as ever.
New UI. There is a persistent problem for some when a person replies to a comment and blocks you, all of your comments disappear from your profile until you find and delete that replied to comment. If there were other comments in the same chain, those may need to be deleted as well. It also sometimes includes your overview disappearing. The same thing happens for some when they reply and then block someone. They then have to go and unblock them to get everything to appear.
The new UI does not show if a subreddit is restricted or private. It also does not show if it is NSFW. I have to switch back to new.reddit to confirm al three.
Issues. Reddit's Filters are becoming a major issue. With having no knowledge of what it could be looking for, and no constant behavior by the Filters, there is very little we can do to help when these reports come in. Sometimes they seem like subreddit new user restrictions might be the issue or a Reddit new account restriction on posting. Other times, it looks like crowd control. Still more there is no discernable reason why it removed something. It acts like spam filter also at times. Sometimes it removes all posts after a date. sometimes it is only posts from one subreddit.

One thing indirectly help related that I have a question on is bugs. Now that everything we can't help fix is going to bugs, is there any information you can share on how it is going to work? In the past, bug report tickets typically took a month or more to get a human answer from redditsupport. Are employees going to be answering on the subreddit? Taking posts down and answering via PM? Is the expectation users will have to fix everything except platform wide issues, even though we can't? Is the timeline going to look the same? I have noticed posts getting removed from bugs, are they removing duplicates like the rules say that will do? How do the users of the removed duplicates get help?

I have a web filter setup and testing at the office and set to block anything unrated. But apparently Windows computers have something called "Microsoft Connected Cache for ISPs" where they distribute Windows Updates to ISPs all over the world. Except they connect via IP and not a domain name for whatever reason.
When a Windows machine checks for updates, it generates about 10-20 blocked messages each time. I don't want to unblock the Unrated category so I've been whitelisting by IP. But if I know the netblock I'd like to just whitelist the netblock in the "Web Rating Override" and be done with it. Is there a way to target a netblock and not just individual IPs?
