So I wondered what influences your design(s) and any guidance for a fantasia-holic like me haha. What is more important to you? Character face/ build or clothing?
I have four main character designs I'm always flitting between. In order of my fave by character creation: Midlander I love, Elezen because it's a rare breed haha, Highlander looks badass, Viera cuz I love him.
Anyway, I have found it's almost the opposite with Glamour's, I feel that while my Viera looks the worst of the four, I can put any costume on him and it works. Elezen suits a lot but have to be careful with the long neck đ Highlander looks good in a lot as long as I keep his eye patch on, but also removes a lot of hat options for that reason. Midlanders, my day1 baby, looks good in a lot, but also drowns in a lot of other outfits.
It tears me up because I feel I want to go Viera because I know I can change armour without worrying too much, while I love my Highlander knowing only one specific style will suit him, and my Midlander suits half the gear and the other half I have to glam, I feel like I'm either stuck in a glam or stuck with a face đ
Sorry for the long-winded post but before I use my next fantasia, I thought I'd seek others thoughts on how they deal with their toons and armour.

These devices plug directly into your car's onboard diagnostic port and provide real-time data about your mom's driving behavior, including speed, acceleration, braking, and more. This can be especially helpful if your mom is getting older and her driving skills are starting to decline. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, older adults are at a higher risk of being involved in car accidents due to slower reflexes, vision problems, and other age-related issues. By using an OBD2 tracker, you can monitor your mom's driving habits and intervene if necessary to ensure she stays safe on the road. Not only do OBD2 trackers provide valuable information about your mom's driving habits, but they can also help you identify potential car problems before they turn into major issues. The device can alert you to any warning lights or error codes, allowing you to address the problem before it causes a breakdown or accident. This can be especially helpful for single moms or those with busy schedules who may not have the time or resources to deal with unexpected car repairs. 2024.05.14 22:18 dollartreerat The Evolution of Corinian Conjugation (Part 1?)
It's been a while since I've posted here (maybe 2 years?) but I'm back and ready to share a little something I've been working on with Corinian, my conlang. After being spread wayyy too thin over hundreds of half-assed conlangs, I thought it'd be nice to scrap everything and work on a conlang that's actually used in my main world's plot.
I usually like making posteriori conlangs, but you might be able to tell there's a sprinkle of Ibero-Romance in here. Either because I like the Ibero-Romance languages or its the sense of impending doom plaguing my mind as my Spanish final nears. Who knows, really.
Background: So, just a bit of background. Corinian is based off the Modern High Corinian variety, which descended from Early High Corinian. Between Early High Corinian and Modern Corinian, it's verb conjugation changed a lot.
- Proto-Coric (predecessor) > Early Corinian varieties > Modern Corinian
Early High Corinian made distinctions between person and put less of an importance on number, conjugating only for the speaker and the direct addressee while lumping everything else into a separate category. So, Early High Corinian made a distinction between 1SG, 2SG, and 3SG/3PL/1PL/2PL, but only for the present. The nonpresent tenses derived from subjunctive, nonfinite inflections, with only a very recent distinction between 2SG and non-2SG in the future tense.
1SG2SG3SG.M, 3SG.F, 3PL, 1PL, 2PL Past-in-in-in Present-a, -Ă (used in reflexives)-us-ra Future-ura-urse-ura
Above are only the
perfective conjugations. Early High Corinian also had a set of
imperfectives, as shown below:
1SG2SG3SG.M/3SG.F/3PL/1PL/2PL Past-uzèc /uzɯk/-uzèc /uzɯk/-uzèc /uzɯk/ Present-tèc /tɯk/-tusèc /tusɯk/-tarèc /taɞɯk/ Future-orèc /oɞɯk/-orsèc /oɞsɯk/-orèc /oɞɯk/
The imperfective aspect was only used in the presence of specific adverbs. An example:
Eu pazia aubĂ gi-atèc. 1SG.NOM repetitively run -1.PRES.IMPFV /eu pazjÉ ÉubadĘÉtÉŻk/
Compared to the perfective (no adverb):
Eu aubĂ gi-atèc 1SG.NOM run -1SG.PRES.PFV /eu ÉubadĘÉtÉŻk/
Ultimately, the imperfective aspect would be lost and merge with the perfective in Modern Corinian. Simple stuff, but it gets worse so for the sake of my sanity I'll only be focusing on the perfective present in Modern Corinian.
Split-Marked-Nominative Alignment The proto-language had a split-ergative alignment, but was corrupted in Early High Corinian so that certain verbs triggered a marked-nominative alignment while others stuck to the prototypical nominative-accusative alignment.
Generally, everything was prototypically NOM-ACC except for stative and reflexive verbs.
NOM/UNM.ACCACC/M.NOMReflective 1SGeuqui-co 1PLfohom-na 2SGmane-ma 3SG.Mquèquèl-clèi 3SG.Fqui 3PLbrasfeis-vis
I'll focus on using a 1SG subject/actor and a 2SG object.
Types of Infinitives Early High Corinian had several "types" of infinitive suffixes that followed the phonological rules of the root. It also had fusional "reflexive infinitives" which denoted that the verb required a reflexive pronoun.
Phonological root ending Vowels/semivowelsAll other consonants/n/, /s/, /Ę/, /z/, /Ę/, /l//m/ Simple infinitives-rc /Éžk/-rèc /ɞɯk/-trèc /tɞɯk/-prèc /pɞɯk/ Reflexive infinitives-rèlc /ɞɯlk/-trèlc /tɞɯlk/-prèlc /pɞɯlk/
Reflexive infinitives have an "open" and "closed" form depending on if the verb has a direct object or not.
With Early High Corinian's alignment, TAM, and infinitive types in mind, I'll throw out a few examples of some typical patterns found in Early High Corinian. Then I'll get into how they evolve.
Verb Type Matrix Early High Corinian does not have polypersonal agreement so there's not much of a difference between the conjugation of transitive and intransitive verbs. By "not much," I mean there still are minor differences between transitive and intransitive verb conjugation in Modern Corinian. I'll use a 1SG subject/actor, 2SG object, and look at three ambivalent verbs:
distrèc "to want (protoypical NOM-ACC),"
dirantrèc "to make blue (Marked-NOM)," and
checrèlc "to like (Marked-NOM; reflexive)."
Root of
distrèc: dis- /dis-/
Root of
dirantrèc: diran- /dirÉn-/
Root of
checrèlc: chec- /tĘek-/
Finite (Prototypical NOM-ACC; distrèc "to want") Eu dis -a ne. 1SG.NOM want-1.PRES.PFV 2SG.ACC /eu disÉ ne/ "I want you."
Finite (Marked-NOM dirantrèc; "to make blue") Qui diran -a ma. 1SG.NOM.MARKED make.blue-1.PRES.PFV 2SG.ABS /ki diranÉ ma/ "I make you turn blue."
Nonfinite (Prototypical NOM-ACC; distrèc "to want") Eu dis -a dis -trèc ne. 1SG.NOM want-1.PRES.PFV want-INF 2SG.ACC /eu disÉ distɞɯk ne/ "I want to want you."
Nonfinite (Marked-NOM; dirantrèc "to make blue") Eu dis -a diran -trèc da ma. 1SG.NOM want-1.PRES.PFV make.blue-INF DAT 2SG.ABS /eu disÉ dirantɞɯk da ne/ "I want to make you turn blue."
The "dative"
da is only used with the direct object of a nonfinite ergative-absolutive verb.
Da is only every used in situations like this, as the true dative
rec is used more frequently.
Finite Reflexive (Mixed alignment; checrèlc "to like") Qui chec-Ă -co ne. 1SG.NOM.MARKED like-PRES.PFV-1SG.REFL 2SG.ACC /ki tĘekko ne/ "I like you."
You might notice here that the marked nominative and the prototypical accusative are both used here. Early High Corinian also has this third type of pronominal alignment.
Nonfinite Reflexive (Mixed alignment; checrèlc "to like") Eu dis -a chec-rè -co ne. 1SG.NOM want-1.PRES.PFV like-INF-1SG.REFL 2SG.ACC /eu disÉ tĘekɞɯko ne/ "I want to like you."
Part 1/? Done Hopefully I've explained Early High Corinian's complex conjugation system well, and I'm happy to be back here conlanging again! I'll eventually go over how Early High Corinian evolved into Modern Corinian and the grammatical changes it experienced. See you soon!

2024.05.14 22:16 btyforashes519 ANA isnât making sense
| So in the past Iâve had very low positive ANAâs every time Iâve had it ran up until my last draw. (Typically 1:80 with a nuclear pattern) This time it was still technically a low positive from my understanding but it was a lot higher and had a mixed pattern. I also had a low positive for anti centromere antibodies which has always been negative in the past. SjĂśrgens, scleroderma, smith, sm/rnp, ribosomal p protein, and ribonucleoprotein antibodies are all negative. In the past, polyarthritis has been seen on X-rays, but it didnât show up on the most recent set of X-rays. 2024.05.14 21:56 Anxious-Muffin52 Poop frequency
Our EBF 2 month old has been a pooping machine since she was about 2 weeks old. She averages 16 diaper changes a day, with 90% of them having some amount of poop.
Sometimes she has a pretty large poop, but most of the time itâs a small-medium amount. Weâve tried waiting 10 minutes for her to get more out but usually she wonât until at least 15-30 minutes later. As you might imagine she has struggled with diaper rash so we have to be vigilant about frequent changes (along with buckets of desitin). Thankfully weâve been managing to keep it at bay for the most part.
One other aspect that is frustrating is that she will often squirt out more poop during a diaper change (sometimes 5-10 times a single change) especially if she is crying during the changing or sneezes/coughs.
She is gaining weight well and eating in normal patterns for a normal amount of time. Her sleep is generally okay but sometimes broken up more than weâd like because of her frequent poops.
My wife has some diary but not much. We havenât noticed a big difference when sheâs not had any.
The pediatrician has said that this is very normal for newborns and once her digestive system is more developed she should have less frequent poops. But I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this and whether there is anything we can do. And how long this may go on.

2024.05.14 21:50 HugeZookeepergame928 best pc for gameplay?
i feel kind of silly asking for PC recommendations to play a 15 year old game, but after playing for over a decade on hand-me-down computers that always struggled to run the game, iâm finally looking into buying a computer that can run large games like TS3. i see a lot of players on youtube who can get their game to run so incredibly smoothly. i feel so impossibly jealous of those who can load create a style and transfer patterns in like ~3 seconds. some of them will apologize for lag that i barely noticed because iâm so used to my game running at like 3 frames per second đ i want to be able to run my game on the highest graphics with all my favorite mods and possibly add some custom worlds and shaders. iâm looking for a prebuilt and my budget is around $1500 but iâm obviously ok with spending less if itâs not needed. what do yâall recommend?

2024.05.14 21:48 unsuredev1985 Struggling with 14yo stepson, wife is keeping me in the dark
Like the title says, Iâm struggling with my 14yo stepsonâs behaviour, much of which my wife is keeping me in the dark about.
There have been issues for some time, but in late 2022 / early 2023 they culminated in him getting expelled from school for drugs and getting in trouble several times with the police for violence and anti social behaviour.
He spent 6 months in a pupil referral unit after the expulsion during which time he was grounded at home and things improved. He got into a new school and seemingly started hanging around with better influences.
Fast forward 6 months and the same patterns are repeating. Heâs been caught shoplifting, his behaviour at school has declined dramatically and his teacher has called to say his attitude to one particular girl (his ex girlfriend) is becoming âobsessiveâ.
To make an already bad situation worse, my wife is doing her best to keep it from me. Iâm only finding things out accidentally by overhearing whispered conversations or by being in the right place at the wrong time.
Iâve tried speaking to her but it always gets shot down. Itâs getting to the point where itâs effecting my mental health because every phone call, every knock at the door, could be some new issue.
Iâm not sure why Iâve posted this, maybe just to get it off my chest.

2024.05.14 21:45 artwithapulse Update to âitâs happening!â - FTM, 39+1, pretty positive induction.
Just a follow up on my previous post, finally graduated with our 8lb baby girl! She missed a Motherâs Day birth but was born on the 13th at 1pm. She was originally due may 18th.
My water broke at 9am on Motherâs Day morning with an audible âpopâ and gush of fluid. Contractions started around 20 minutes later, roughly 1-10 minutes. As we live very rurally - around one hour from the hospital - we packed up and got there. They examined me and confirmed amniotic fluid and the contractions pattern was fairly slow â they recommended we stay close to town but to come back around 9pm, or whenever they ramped up.
So I waddled back to the car with a towel laid down and we went for a drive, went home, fed our cows, had something to each and made it back around 8:15.
By then my contractions were even slower, and as we were approaching the 24 hour mark of my water breaking, the doctor told me theyâd like to induce - and that Iâd really need an epidural. I am absolutely TERRIBLE with needles, and my anxiety was through the roof, so they offered me two Ativan to calm down and sit through it. I wonât lie, the epidural process was awful - after the freezing while finding the right spot, there was a big âzingâ like Iâd touched an electric fence which scared the hell out of me, but once it was placed it was pretty heavenly. Contractions stopped hurting, they did the IV in my hand and I was able to sleep. I slept all night no problems with my partner staying up, and sometime during the morning they did a cervical check and said I was at 10cm and ready to push.
I wasnât prepared for how long this stage would take. All told, it was 4 hours â by the end where her head was so low, I was really starting to give up - my contractions were constant but short so I could only give one or two good pushes each one. My partner at my head really made it easier to get by, I just listened to him and the doctor and tuned everything else out. On the last push, I didnât feel much but relief when her head was out except some tearing - and they had to manipulate her shoulders which hurt, but once she was out and quickly on my chest I heard my partner cry and it was all sheer relief.
We have had some issues getting her to drink but thatâs partly me learning too.
All in all Iâm totally in love and despite a difficult and long labour, it was positive and baby girl is healthy, strong and happy. Sheâs been so quiet and given me lots of time to sleep and recoup.
Just wanted to say thanks again to this sub for all the help over the last 39 weeks!

2024.05.14 21:43 YourSubbyPet How does anyone actually like the Nameless King?
Whenever people post boss tier lists I see Nameless King in A or S tier. I just don't understand how people can enjoy this fight.
Mechanically there's nothing wrong with it. It's a cool looking boss with a decent moveset. But I can't fucking see anything! The lock-on is terrible; it keeps switching between the king and the dragon's head at the worst time, and my camera just spins in circles when I come in for an attack, and without the lock-on I completely lose sight of him every time he takes flight and get one shot by his fire attack. The best part? I can't even see what I'm doing wrong or what the tell is because I can't see the fucking dragon. Usually when people complain about bosses being difficult I'm of the mind that they just need to learn the attack patterns and how to dodge them, but how am I supposed to learn to dodge an attack I can't see? And it doesn't seem to matter what direction I run, I'm always right in the middle of his fire.
I want to like this boss, because the fight itself seems really cool, but I just can't deal with this awful camera. It doesn't help either that you can't look straight up in this game. The camera only goes so far.
Rant over. TL;DR, the camera sucks and makes the fight almost unplayable.

Depending on the privileges associated with the user, an attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
RECOMMENDATIONS: We recommend the following actions be taken:
- Apply appropriate patches or appropriate mitigations provided by Microsoft to vulnerable systems immediately after appropriate testing. (~M1051~: Update Software)
- Safeguard 7.1: Establish and Maintain a Vulnerability Management Process: Establish and maintain a documented vulnerability management process for enterprise assets. Review and update documentation annually, or when significant enterprise changes occur that could impact this Safeguard.
- Safeguard 7.4: Perform Automated Application Patch Management: Perform application updates on enterprise assets through automated patch management on a monthly, or more frequent, basis.
- Apply the Principle of Least Privilege to all systems and services, and run all software as a non-privileged user (one without administrative rights) to diminish the effects of a successful attack. (~M1026~: Privileged Account Management)
- Safeguard 4.7: Manage Default Accounts on Enterprise Assets and Software: Manage default accounts on enterprise assets and software, such as root, administrator, and other pre-configured vendor accounts. Example implementations can include: disabling default accounts or making them unusable.

Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
RECOMMENDATIONS: We recommend the following actions be taken:
- Apply the stable channel update provided by Apple to vulnerable systems immediately after appropriate testing. (M1051: Update Software)
- Safeguard 7.1 : Establish and Maintain a Vulnerability Management Process: Establish and maintain a documented vulnerability management process for enterprise assets. Review and update documentation annually, or when significant enterprise changes occur that could impact this Safeguard.
- Safeguard 7.2 : Establish and Maintain a Remediation Process: Establish and maintain a risk-based remediation strategy documented in a remediation process, with monthly, or more frequent, reviews.
- Safeguard 7.6 : Perform Automated Vulnerability Scans of Externally-Exposed Enterprise Assets: Perform automated vulnerability scans of externally-exposed enterprise assets using a SCAP-compliant vulnerability scanning tool. Perform scans on a monthly, or more frequent, basis.
- Safeguard 7.7 : Remediate Detected Vulnerabilities: Remediate detected vulnerabilities in software through processes and tooling on a monthly, or more frequent, basis, based on the remediation process.
- Safeguard 16.13 Conduct Application Penetration Testing: Conduct application penetration testing. For critical applications, authenticated penetration testing is better suited to finding business logic vulnerabilities than code scanning and automated security testing. Penetration testing relies on the skill of the tester to manually manipulate an application as an authenticated and unauthenticated user.
- Safeguard 18.1 : Establish and Maintain a Penetration Testing Program: Establish and maintain a penetration testing program appropriate to the size, complexity, and maturity of the enterprise. Penetration testing program characteristics include scope, such as network, web application, Application Programming Interface (API), hosted services, and physical premise controls; frequency; limitations, such as acceptable hours, and excluded attack types; point of contact information; remediation, such as how findings will be routed internally; and retrospective requirements.
- Safeguard 18.2 : Perform Periodic External Penetration Tests: Perform periodic external penetration tests based on program requirements, no less than annually. External penetration testing must include enterprise and environmental reconnaissance to detect exploitable information. Penetration testing requires specialized skills and experience and must be conducted through a qualified party. The testing may be clear box or opaque box.
- Safeguard 18.3 : Remediate Penetration Test Findings: Remediate penetration test findings based on the enterpriseâs policy for remediation scope and prioritization.
- Apply the Principle of Least Privilege to all systems and services. Run all software as a non-privileged user (one without administrative privileges) to diminish the effects of a successful attack. (M1026: Privileged Account Management)
- Safeguard 4.7: Manage Default Accounts on Enterprise Assets and Software: Manage default accounts on enterprise assets and software, such as root, administrator, and other pre-configured vendor accounts. Example implementations can include: disabling default accounts or making them unusable.
- Safeguard 5.4: Restrict Administrator Privileges to Dedicated Administrator Accounts: Restrict administrator privileges to dedicated administrator accounts on enterprise assets. Conduct general computing activities, such as internet browsing, email, and productivity suite use, from the userâs primary, non-privileged account.
- Restrict use of certain websites, block downloads/attachments, block Javascript, restrict browser extensions, etc. (M1021: Restrict Web-Based Content)
- Safeguard 2.3: Address Unauthorized Software: Ensure that unauthorized software is either removed from use on enterprise assets or receives a documented exception. Review monthly, or more frequently.
- Safeguard 2.7: Allowlist Authorized Scripts: Use technical controls, such as digital signatures and version control, to ensure that only authorized scripts, such as specific .ps1, .py, etc., files, are allowed to execute. Block unauthorized scripts from executing. Reassessbi-annually, or more frequently.
- Safeguard 9.3: Maintain and Enforce Network-Based URL Filters: Enforce and update network-based URL filters to limit an enterprise asset from connecting to potentially malicious or unapproved websites. Example implementations include category-based filtering, reputation-based filtering, or through the use of block lists. Enforce filters for all enterprise assets.
- Safeguard 9.6: Block Unnecessary File Types: Block unnecessary file types attempting to enter the enterpriseâs email gateway.
- Use capabilities to detect and block conditions that may lead to or be indicative of a software exploit occurring. (M1050: Exploit Protection)
- Safeguard 10.5: Enable Anti-Exploitation Features: Enable anti-exploitation features on enterprise assets and software, where possible, such as MicrosoftÂŽ Data Execution Prevention (DEP), WindowsÂŽ Defender Exploit Guard (WDEG), or AppleÂŽ System Integrity Protection (SIP) and Gatekeeperâ˘.
- Block execution of code on a system through application control, and/or script blocking. (M1038: Execution Prevention)
- Safeguard 2.5 : Allowlist Authorized Software: Use technical controls, such as application allowlisting, to ensure that only authorized software can execute or be accessed. Reassess bi-annually, or more frequently.
- Safeguard 2.6 : Allowlist Authorized Libraries: Use technical controls to ensure that only authorized software libraries, such as specific .dll, .ocx, .so, etc., files, are allowed to load into a system process. Block unauthorized libraries from loading into a system process. Reassess bi-annually, or more frequently.
- Safeguard 2.7 : Allowlist Authorized Scripts: Use technical controls, such as digital signatures and version control, to ensure that only authorized scripts, such as specific .ps1, .py, etc., files, are allowed to execute. Block unauthorized scripts from executing. Reassess bi-annually, or more frequently.
- Use capabilities to prevent suspicious behavior patterns from occurring on endpoint systems. This could include suspicious process, file, API call, etc. behavior. (M1040: Behavior Prevention on Endpoint)
- Safeguard 13.2 : Deploy a Host-Based Intrusion Detection Solution: Deploy a host-based intrusion detection solution on enterprise assets, where appropriate and/or supported.
- Safeguard 13.7 : Deploy a Host-Based Intrusion Prevention Solution: Deploy a host-based intrusion prevention solution on enterprise assets, where appropriate and/or supported. Example implementations include use of an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) client or host-based IPS agent.

2024.05.14 21:36 weirdballz STUDY TIPS FOR ATI: How I achieved a level 3 on my ATI exams
I would like to share some tips that helped me do well on all my ATI exams! For reference, I got a level 3 on all but one ATI exam! Fundamentals was my first ATI exam ever which I got a 2, and it helped shaped the way I continued to study for ATI. I hope this helps anyone who is either struggling with ATI or wanting to increase their scores.
- This one is obvious, but ATI is your best resource. Start early. Utilize the book. Itâs not a typical textbook so it is easier to get through compared to your average 2,000+ page textbook. If you start early and itâs not huge like the med-surg one, you can get through the majority of the chapters before test time. You do not have to read every word.
How I utilized ATI textbooks:
- For courses that required an ATI exam, I read the chapters that corresponded with the lectures - except med-surg⌠have you seen that thing? I relied on the Lewis Med Surg book that was required for our class because our Med-Surg 1 & 2 class HEAVILY tested on that book.
- I get highlighter happy at times, but I tried to limit myself to highlighting important things that would jump at me if I had to later refer back to a chapter. I highlighted drug names in green. I also highlighted measures/numbers/lab values and random facts that ATI likes to throw at you in. Like if you have a latex allergy, you can be allergic to strawberries kinda thing.
- Do the practice questions at the end of the chapters. If you donât want to read the chapters, at least do the questions (usually only 5) to see if there are any gaps of knowledge. If you get something wrong, refer back to the book to read over that section.
Practice Exams/Dynamic Quizzes - Plan to complete all dynamic quizzes for that subject. If you can only do ONE thing, complete all the quizzes. I canât emphasize that enough. You hear it over and over again, but read to understand rationales, writing out the ones for unfamiliar topics or easily forgotten details. They will help in future ATI exams! The goal isn't to memorize practice questions, but to learn and understand. Refer to the book for content review when needed. If you know you have 400-1,000 questions to get through, start early. Mark the ones you get wrong or guessed correctly so you can review later and when your exam gets closer.
- Take Practice A & B exam and take it seriously. As tempting as it may be, do not google the answers. These exams give you an idea of areas you are struggling with. I recommend doing focused reviews because it takes you to the exact area where you missed the question. I would hand write the areas I missed.
- If you see the same thing over and over again during your quizzes and practice exams, pay attention. ATI is giving you hints on what you may see on the exam.
Extra Tips for ATI - Be familiar with National Notifiable Conditions for those dreaded âwhich one do you report?â questions. You donât have to memorize them â just know the main ones. There is a page in the Community ATI book with some of the main ones, but the CDC website is a quick reference. Bookmark it!
- Know antidotes, especially to common drugs.
- Know what you can delegate to UAPs and LPNs. In short, do not delegate what you can EAT (Evaluate, Assess, Teach). Remember, LPNs can only reassess after the RN has done the first assessment. This includes if a patient came back from surgery. The RN will assess and do vital signs if the patient has come back from surgery or is unstable, not the LPN and definitely not the UAP. Also, LPNs cannot do the initial teaching, but they can reinforce the teachings (example: self-administering insulin).
- Review frequently missed content because a lot of that stuff may be on your exam.
Outside resources - The only resource outside of ATI I used are the LevelUpRN videos, which I am sure many of you already know about. Her playlists follow ATI closely enough without her getting sued again lol. If you can get your hands on her cards, thatâs great but do not neglect the quizzes.
Test taking prioritization strategies you have to understand: - Least invasive vs most invasive, acute vs chronic, unstable vs stable, expected findings vs unexpected findings (aka complications), & ABCs go without saying.
- Go through the NurseLogic 2.0 modules (under the learn tab) if you need help with prioritization. This is often what gets us the most but youâre always going to RUN to the patient who will die without intervention first. If you see a patient with stridor vs chest pain, who do you think is the priority? What about the patient with laryngeal edema or the stroke patient with hemiparesis? The patient with a sudden, severe headache or the patient with heart failure and 2+ edema? The asthmatic patient who stopped wheezing or the patient with chronic angina clutching their chest after walking?
- In a disaster situation (moreso for the community & leadership ATI exam), the patient who will die without intervention, but can survive with intervention is the priority (red tag). The patient who is dying (SCALP, not facial lacerations, fixed and dilated pupils) is the least of the priority (black tag) due to limited resources.
Other test taking strategies - Go with what you know, but if you see 2 answer choices that are basically the same but worded differently, eliminate those. If you see 2 answer choices that are opposites, one of them may be the answer.
- When in doubt, avoid absolutes like âalways, never, only, everyoneâ (unless itâs something accurate like ALWAYS practice hand hygiene lol but ATI usually doesnât use absolutes like that)
- Look for keywords. Is the question asking what the nurse should do FIRST or what is the best nursing action?
Itâs true that ATI will test you on things from other courses (some you havenât taken yet), but the majority of it will be over the course you are studying for. The goal isnât to get every question correctly. The goal is to use prior knowledge and test taking strategies to help you at least narrow down to 2 answer choices, and hopefully choose the right one. After doing a bunch of questions, you start to see patterns and understand how ATI wants you to choose the answer.
I know this is a lot, but I just wanted to be as thorough as possible. Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help! đ

2024.05.14 21:34 GODISALIEN energy buildup in focus 12
Hi friends,
Iâve been working on focus 12 for the past couple weeks and wanted to share my experience. I really enjoy reading about everyone elseâs journeys so here is mine in focus 12 so far:
The first few times I wasnât quite sure I made it to focus 12. I felt the numbess in my body and the presence in my head, but I still felt too aware. However, towards the end of each session I started getting this really uncomfortable energetic buildup near where the solar plexus chakra is. It was so uncomfortable that I had to stop my sessions early.
I recognized this is probably somewhere I have energy stuck or something, so I tried focusing on letting the energy out through sounds (yeah just me in a room by myself making weird noises) and I think it really helped (I saw this in a meditation video once but never tried it or gave it any credit, but sound is energy so why not). I went deeper than ever before and lost all sensation in my body, felt like I could just float away.
I went so deep I kept forgetting I was doing an exercise and just floated into the nothingness of my mind, completely present with the experience. Honestly I donât even remember all the things I tried to pattern.
I had a couple random flashes of places Iâve never seen beforeâ a long hallway with doors, an old hand in front of meâ which felt like that place just in between wakefulness and dream. I think Iâm starting to really get a feel for that particular brain state. Itâs almost like trying to pet a spooked cat and keep it calm, but it keeps getting easier the more you do it. And you canât force the calmness, only sink into it.
Towards the latter half of the session, the fire alarm in my hallway started glitching (letting out one beep every 30 seconds). I thought I was hearing things at first until my session ended. I donât know if it is related at all and I still donât know to fix it lol. Iâm afraid to push the buttons. (Vaguely unrelated but there was a big spider chilling next to it and I always tell people that spiders are my spirit animal lol half as a joke bc those guys follow me everywhere)
I started this journey with a lot of fear and difficulty embracing the unknown. Now, I feel like all I want to do is sink deeper and deeper into it. Itâs beautiful to have overcome my fear on many levels (not on all yet) and start to really enjoy the craziness of it.
I really am craving having deeper more powerful experiences. It feels so right and good. During my first focus 12 session, it felt like there was a hand in my right hand, pulling me along, encouraging me to keep going. It felt so loving, like my higher self was saying, Iâm here with you, Iâve got you. I started tearing up mid-session.
Anyway, I hope this experience is encouraging for anyone moving forward. Iâm in this journey for the long run and am really grateful for this community.

2024.05.14 21:28 Solidjakes Objective Morality exists with or without any God (formal logic)
This is an argument I am messing with that does not include God, but I don't think the existence of God would affect the validity of this either. This is more of an argument towards moral relativism, but I'd be curious if theology disrupts this in any way, or why the thiest might disagree.
âĄR: It is necessarily true that in our world, difference and contrast are intrinsic and pervasive.
⥠(S â R): It is necessarily true that goodness (S) requires the capacity for evaluative judgment, which in turn requires contrast and differentiation (R).
⥠(U â (V ⧠W)): It is necessarily true that if actions are at least part of what society subjectively thinks are good (U), then these actions have objective differences (V) and these differences form an objective pattern (W).
⥠(L â X): It is necessarily true that life aims to further itself (L), meaning life moves towards its continuation and proliferation, whether intentional or not (X).
⥠(B â Y): It is necessarily true that systems aim to balance themselves (B), meaning systems move towards equilibrium and stability, whether intentional or not (Y).
⥠((X ⧠Y) â Z): It is necessarily true that if the furtherance of life (X) and the pursuit of balance (Y) are present, then these are coherent commonalities in predominant subjective conceptions of morality (Z).
⥠(Z â S): It is necessarily true that if the furtherance of life and pursuit of balance are commonalities in subjective morality (Z), then morality aligns with the objective reality of these patterns (S).
⥠((S â T) ⧠R): It is necessarily true that good, as we subjectively describe it, shares essential characteristics with the objective reality of contrast and differentiation in our world (S â T), making it at least somewhat objectively true.
Full logic:
⥠R
⥠(S â R)
⥠(U â (V ⧠W))
⥠(L â X)
⥠(B â Y)
⥠((X ⧠Y) â Z)
⥠(Z â S)
⥠((R ⧠S) â (S â T))
So the collective idea of the word "good" is going to vary and perhaps small pieces do not align with objective reality, however, we can refine our definition of the word good if we choose to, to even further approximate a good that actually is. Furthermore good is objectively real with or without God or people to judge it as such.
Edit: Summary section as recommended (full paper being worked on, just really appreciating feedback from you guys to refine it, disprove it, or make it more clear)
"Rocks are harder than woodâ
This is a subjective statement and, what we can reasonably call, an objective statement.
The idea of a rock and actual rocks can never be exactly the same. One has an infinite amount of subjective descriptors, the other has an infinite amount of actual descriptors that once described, become intrinsically subjective again, yet never needed to be described to actually be. The difference between a rock and wood, would still be, even without our observations.
The purpose of this paper and argument is to show that moral goodness at least follows this form of objectivity that we call true, it will explore the ontological nature of contrast, and from that framework, propose an objective morality that fundamentally is.

2024.05.14 21:27 plentiful_bounty Went in search of college moveout trash, came home with a carload full of apartment garbage day trash instead
Found a sturdy bookshelf, baby bottle sterilizer in the box, Victoriaâs Secret totes, 100+ skeins of yarn, a 50 gallon fish tank with a filter and good, kidâs bike in good condition, and $100 worth of unopened luxury hair products, for reselling. Score! Sold the bookshelf for $30 before I even got home.
And for me: tomato cages for my garden, a hand knit beanie from the yarn bag, a massage table carrying case, some unopened popcorn, nuts, and granola bars!
Also⌠found a $200 âpelvic floor trainerâ?? Didnât know that existed. Donât think Iâll be doing anything with that given it was out of the package⌠lol
