BWT - what are your Target, Ulta, Drugstore must haves?

2024.06.07 05:10 flagprojector BWT - what are your Target, Ulta, Drugstore must haves?

I'm visiting NYC very soon and love to stock up on goodies not available in my own country.
I ALWAYS do mini Target haul (as well as a stop by Goodwil!) but want to go all out this time.
From hair, skin and nail gummies to Olay bodywashes to makeup brushes to makeup brands for oily skin to the best snacks... I wanna know what I should get as a BWT (in training lol) abroad.
What are your must haves that you swear by?
Here’s what’s on my list so far, based on what I’ve seen people share on TikTok:
Trader Joes - [ ] Daily Facial Sunscreen SPF 40 (I want to try this specifically as I've used supergoop for years and I hear this is a solid dupe).
Target - [ ] Tide To Go Stain Remover Pen - [ ] Natrol Melatonin 10mg Sleep Aid Gummies - [ ] Crest 3DWhitestrips Classic White At-home Teeth Whitening Kit - 10 Treatments - [ ] Probiotic Gummies for Digestive Health - Mixed Fruit - 80ct - up & up™ - [ ] Hair, Skin, & Nail Supplement Gummies - Strawberry - 120ct - up & up™
I’m literally open to any and ALL suggestions for products to help with my glow uo, so please free to share other stores that you think I should visit to stock up on BWT essentials too.
Oh and if it helps, I’m a PoC with 4b/4c hair. Keen on skin and bodycare. So any PoC friendly products would be great too. I was a huge fan of Ambi Fade before the HQ was removed from it.
Can't wait to read all your suggestions!

OK so I'm kind of freaking out a bit because im realising that my nightly melatonin 5mg pill contains maltodrextrin which has a higher glycemic index than glucose. Is this breaking my fast??

Bipolar 2 and ADHD on 75mg lamotrigine/lamictal — woke up so depressed and conked out after taking a QUARTER of a 5mg melatonin gummy!!!
I have bipolar 2 and adhd and really struggle with insomnia partly as a result of the meds I’m on (one of which - lamotrigine - I’m slowly tapering off of).
Last night I took ok a quarter of a Natrol Sleep 5mg Melatonin gummy last night and woke up today feeling like absolute shit. Sad, grumpy, foggy, headache, and like my brain doesn’t quite work.
Is this likely to be an interaction with my meds? I’m on 30mg vyanse, 20mg Prozac, and 75mg lamotrigine, or more likely just due to it being an American brand and likely ten times stronger than what it says on the bottle? (I read somewhere that this is the case with US melatonin supplements??).
Either way it looks like I’m going to have to rule melatonin out, too — after already having ruled out a microscopic dose (quarter of a 25mg pill) of promethazine hydrochloride, as well as 25mg nytol. (Obv not all three together— I’ve trialled each individually, with terrible results). Or could it just be that people with adhd and bipolar 2 are more sensitive to sleeping pills…? This is all so ridiculous. I just want to be able to sleep!!

2024.05.05 11:14 Brilliant_Turnip_421 Fake supplements

Hi everyone, I've been having a problem with ordering supplements that are not counterfeit. I've been living in here for a year and I have ordered five packs of melatonin during the year and all of them were different in taste, different in smell, different in packaging. None of them were original and I'm kind of getting tired of buying something unpredictable from an unauthorized sellers. So maybe you can recommend me where I can buy supplements such as melatonin from Natrol and be sure that that's the original one? Thank you ❤️

2024.05.04 18:16 Superb_Road_5566 Trouble falling asleep for past week

So last Thursday I was at my college dorm and got pretty bad sleep(slept around 5.30am-10am). I wasn’t too concerned since I occasionally get bad sleep at college. I normally go home on the weekends and I usually get great sleep at home so I went home the next day on Friday. Sometimes, but not consistently, I’ll take a pill of 120mg magnesium glycinate expecting it to work but deep down I know it doesn’t really change my sleep positively. I took a pill that friday night at home, only to fall asleep again at 5.30-6am.
Took two magnesium pills on Saturday night, didn’t do jack either. I got off the magnesium pills on Sunday night and still the same outcome. On wednesday night, I took Nyquil for congestion and I actually fell asleep around 2am but woke up at 5.30, only to fall back asleep at 7am-10am.
Yesterday night till this early morning was by far the worst. I decided to split a natrol 3mg melatonin pill, intending to take only 1.5mg. This rebounded on me and I could not fall asleep for the life of me till this morning at 7am. Whenever i would fall asleep I would also have weird ass dreams so idk what tf is going on. I’ve never had this problem before, so if anyone could offer any advice or suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it.
I am really not sure if this is all in my head or it’s just a temporary thing. I’m just feeling bummed and frustrated especially since I got finals next week. I’ve never had this problem before, so if anyone could offer any advice or suggestions I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks for listening to my vent….
P.S. I am usually on my laptop and phone right before I head to sleep but I am not sure if that is a contributing factor since I have been doing this for years and it hasn’t impacted my sleep.

2024.04.22 07:08 Saladee_7 Melatonin

I bought some melatonin gummies today from the Natrol 10mg brand in order to fix my awful sleep schedule but I probably should have read into melatonin before deciding to purchase it because it says there’s side affects like n* and some people even v* or wake up in the middle of the night with cold sweats. I thought about starting with just one 5mg gummy but I’m a little bit on edge about it. I have had melatonin gummies before, but that was before my emetophobia relapse. Can anyone please share their experience with melatonin or with the brand natrol?

2024.04.20 04:25 bigshowgunnoe What sleeping medications are the most effective for people with ADHD or with sleeping issues?

I have had a lot of challenges sleeping over the last couple of years. I have ADHD and mild autism and I sleep fairly well if I don't take any medication or try that hard at my life, but the more I try the harder sleeping seems to come for me.
I have had problems taking stimulants too late or drinking coffee too late in order to finish my tasks for the day.
If I don't do these things, I often meditate, but when I meditate I usually sleep worse too! Meditating unlocks my mind and for some reason I don't seem to sleep super well after doing it. Kobe Bryant was a big meditator and he also doesn't sleep well.
Which medications have been helpful for your sleep?
For me, Trazodone makes me fall asleep fairly easily but I have some negative effects the following day. I have had several instances of sleeping in too long and not waking up in the morning. I also am late to a lot of things the next day.
Melatonin has helped me sleep some, but it doesn't always work. The melatonin that doesn't have Natrol is often somewhat helpful but not entirely. I sleep in a bit longer with this but I also don't fall asleep easily.
As for the melatonin with natrol, it definitely helps me fall asleep faster but there's a window where I can fall asleep, and if I miss then window then I cannot really sleep at all for more of the night without taking Trazodone or drinking beer.
What has worked for sleep for you all? Any medication suggestions?

Just a heads up. Natrol changed up their formula for the melatonin gummies. They rebranded the packaging and dropped the organic ingredients.
The new packaging is on the left while the older one is on the right. The new ones stick together more and have a different strawberry flavor compared to the older ones. IMO
