Hey, I have just booked a room for the first year at EUR in the social hub. Its 934 euros each month. Do you guys think this is too expensive? has anyone else also booked a room here? Also, if someone else has stayed in TSH Rotterdam, can you for example buy an extra table and put it in the room, or a tv? Can you keep someone overnight in a single room (in the website it says only double but do they really check?). Thanks in advance.

i’ve tried writing this out a lot of times but i keep rambling, so i’ve tried to write this as short as i can (even tho it’s still long) with as much context as possible, but there’s a TLDR if you don’t wanna read the whole thing.

my boyfriend and i (ldr but we have met twice now) are both pretty big fans of this one female singers music.
we had a sexual conversation a few months into our relationship (before we met for the first time) about celebrities we found attractive before we met each other (and i guess at that moment too?) and he sent a gif of her, and i ended up feeling very very sick and insecure about it. i tried to push this feeling away but i eventually told him how i felt and he apologised for telling me/how it made me feel.
we met a few weeks later and things were fine but i guess the feeling stayed and just before i went back home, i ended up asking him not to listen to her music because all i could think about is how he thought of her sexually and how it ruined my perspective of her as i always thought of her innocently and her music helped me get through really bad times in my life, so it felt awful and weird and wrong to me. he respected that and i believe he stuck to his word and didn’t listen to her.
we met again 8 ish months later, and she had put out a new album, and a new single for a movie. we ended up listening to the album and single together and he absolutely LOVED the single. like, really, he quoted it all the time and we watched the movie it was written for, and he loved that too so it all tied together, and we ended up talking more about her a lot, we bought merch from hot topic, even joked about buying her skin in fortnite (i know 😭) if she ever became one, and she sort of just became an inside joke, like “yeah whatever i know you think she’s hot idc!!!” where i was joke mad/annoyed about it and he found that funny and it was just some inside joke that developed, and i didn’t care about him wearing her merch or whatever, but over time for whatever reason, those feelings came back again and i felt really insecure about it.
but i didn’t really bring it up and we still listened to her and looked at her vinyls in stores and kept those jokes going, but eventually, he found out that she was going to be in his states capital city for her tour. he obviously wanted to go, and made jokes about going ALL the time. his main reason for wanting to go was so he could hear that single that he loved sm, but i was so sure that she wouldn’t sing it because it was just a single for a movie and why would she, and i told him that and he believed me (bc it made sense and i rly didn’t think she would)
this was in january/feburary of this year, and i left him mid feb. the concert was early march. before i left, i talked to him about how the insecurity and those sick feelings were coming back and he blocked her on spotify and respected how it made me feel.
and well, he didn’t end up going to the concert, partially because i think it was very obvious that i didn’t want him to go even when i joked with him that he could, and also, probably partially because of the cost of the tickets. i never really thought twice about if she played the song or not. and fast forwarding to now, may 2024, i decided that how i felt was ridiculous and after a few conversations with him and a lot of self help videos on youtube about jealousy, i told him i was okay with him listening to her again. and it was hard to start with but i’m more or less fine with it now.
ANYWAY. so the concert was in march, he didn’t go, and time has passed since then. but i was just looking at her setlist for all the shows and i looked at the show in his state that he wanted to go to, and it turns out she DID play the single!!! his state and a few others out of many many dates that she didn’t. she played the ONE song he really wanted to hear, in his state, and she will probably never play it again live, or if she does it definitely wouldn’t be a reoccurring thing and definitely not anywhere near where he lives.
i feel horrible. i feel so guilty. i know it’s just a song, but it’s a cumulative of a lot of feelings and i hate that i felt insecure and jealous and stopped him from doing something fun that he would’ve enjoyed and also heard a very beautiful song that he wouldn’t have been able to any other time, all because of how i felt. he’s always said when i brought up him not listening to her as “he doesn’t care enough” and that it doesn’t affect him but i think it probably did, and it makes me feel so fucking bad that this happened and he didn’t get to go and it was because of me.
TLDR, i was clearly uncomfortable with my boyfriend seeing a very attractive female artist in concert (LDR relationship, i wouldn’t have been there with him), so he didn’t go, and he missed out on a probably once in a lifetime chance of hearing his favourite song by her live, she only played it at a few shows and his state was one of them. I feel horrible. how can i make this up to him and get over the guilt i feel?

I've been doing a lot of research because I want to buy my first backplate & wing setup.
I live in Brazil, and unfortunately, it's quite challenging to find good diving equipment here.
The only official stores we have are Cressi and Mares.
At Cressi, I'm considering getting the Cressi AquaWing Plus, which comes complete with a backplate, wing, harness, weight pockets, and a back pad.
At the Mares store, I found the XR backplate, XR harness, some weight pocket options, but they only have double donut wings available; I'll have to wait for the single cylinder option. Also, I couldn't find any back pads to improve comfort.
My doubts are:
1 - Is the Cressi Aquawing Plus backplate & wing of low quality?
2 - Does the Mares backplate & wing have higher quality than Cressi?
3 - As I mentioned, I'm from Brazil, and the water is warm all year round. I don't use a wetsuit for diving. Would these backplates be uncomfortable?
4 - I'm still an Open Water Diver, but I want to progress to technical diving. There are some wrecks in the region around 60 meters deep. Is it really necessary to dive with twin cylinders for this? Or would a single cylinder with a side-mount for safety stops suffice?

I understand that they are two completely different stocks, but there must be some reason that the other stock was able to increase ten-fold in a single day, but our stock keeps getting halted when it gets traction.
Does anyone with knowledge know if something in the system has changed to prevent this?

Made it to Diamond on the EU server as a light main, who would also play medium in order to avoid a double light composition. Here are some key observations. Please note that they are personal, and they reflect my experience with the game. If your experience happens to differ, that's understandable and statistically possible.
• More often than not, clicking "play again" after a game ends, will place you with the exact same teammates as the last game. This would happen so often, that it became a habit of mine to wait approximately 10 minutes before queuing for a match if I was not satisfied with my last team.
• Above Platinum 2, the game would at times feel like a closed community game. I would frequently be matched against people on my friend list that I would have added the day before, and I would also frequently spot players I had a hard time with the other day. This is not a phenomenon that would occur on a single session, but a continuous thing that would happen throughout my ranked grind. It led to lot of wholesome moments when I would be matched with players I had a blast with days ago, but also animosities with current teammates that were past sweaty enemies that I had big rivalries with.
• There's a lot of toxicity towards light players. No one wants a light player in their team, and many are willing to offensively voice this in the character selection, and are also willing to trollpick if you don't comply with their requests. Many duo premades would also frequently switch to light the moment I would switch to my light character. I essentially overcame this by queuing as medium, and then switching to my light class at the last possible moment.
• The game (Like most games at this time) is infested with... People with illegal chairs. I'm glad if your experience doesn't reflect this, but this was my experience. There's many people soft wall hacking, which is very annoying but possible to deal with, and there's also many blatant aimbotters. The latest security patch did improve things for a day or two, now it's at a bad state once again. A thing that did change, is that the detection seems to be faster, because many aimbotters will be unranked players in a diamond lobby, whereas this didn't use to be the case. If you spot any hackers, make sure you communicate with your team that your goal for the game will be to avoid that team at all costs and aim for a second place finish. (Quick note, for your own safety and understanding of how these people operate, you should research on your own to learn how these people hide their paid software, how they use their software, as well as to understand the capabilities of the software. A thing I was personally blown away with was a free example of such software on a popular site that was uploaded less than a month ago was sitting at 75000 downloads a few days ago. 75 thousand downloads in less than a month, on a platform with 10k daily peak players. This is not aimed towards embark, they're aware and doing their best and we should support them in this endeavour in every way we can. Spreading awareness is one way to eradicate this problem.

I(16f) hit a new low. I graduate next school year and I feel like my life is not going in the direction I want it too. My grades are in horrible shape and my GPA isn’t good(2.25). If I turn in my missing assignments, I will pass but my school has a system where you can only get 10 absences and I am well above that. There’s attendance recovery but I won’t be able to make up all of them in time. I’m going to have to beg my teachers to let me pass. I’m also late to school everyday on top of that.
I’m in the IB program. Quarter 4 started a few weeks ago and there’s some classes that I haven’t turned a single assignment in for. I can’t stay focused at school and when I try, I get distracted. I’ve never struggled this much in school before.
I can’t seem to keep my room clean. I can’t even bring myself to put the sheets on my bed. I have a mug of hot chocolate in my room and it has mold in it. I do try to make my appearance look nice everyday. I brush my teeth everyday and I wash my face everyday. But sometimes, I can’t bring myself to shower.
I know that no universities in their right mind will accept me. My dream job is to become voice actor and although it doesn’t require any degrees, I’m afraid I’m going to fail. I feel like a failure.
I wish I tried harder in school this year and I wish I could take it all back. I’m tired all the time and I’m stressed. I just want to feel that I’m accomplishing something positive. What can I do? How can I feel that I’m doing something good with my life?

My goal is to get to Score 150 and grab those sweet perk points, but didn't realize the season ends officially on June 3rd. I started playing at the start of the season. I've played every day and done every single score. I used score boost every Tuesday (50%) and try and double dip. Despite all of that, and leveling perhaps 100 times this season, I'm only Rank 138. With the only way to gain score the daily quests, I'm stresing about hitting 150 before I leave for vacation at end of May. Is this why they designed it this way, so that folks could only hit the top tier of the scorecard at the very end of the season? At 330 points per score, I can get a max of 3560 a day with the gold star challenge if FO1, and 3230 w/o.
3230 points a level, 16 day left, it looks like I should hit 150 just at the very end of the season. But that's with me pushing hard. 38,875 SCORE left before 150, should take me 13 days to get there, which means I'll be ending the season with just a small chance to get extra tickets.
I feel like I'm super slow and may be should have no-life grinded earlier in the season to get the XP score boost.
What are all of your SCORE levels?

My friend buys plants from Nursery Garden for x amount and it's selling margin through different channels such as Amazon, WooCommerce, and so on. Therefore, tracking sales, revenue, expenses and the vendor is a complex process. A simple method is auditing each channel and identifying revenue, top generated products individually, and stacked to excel sheets.

1. Rescue pittie's background
There's a 3-year-old pit bull mix I found that's been in foster care for over a year, let's call her baby girl. She has an unknown history, likely abandoned or maybe abused, and was brought in by a good samaritan. She was in a shelter, but quickly moved to a foster home because she "didn't do well" in the shelter (unsure of exactly what that means). She's been described as shy, anxious, and needing an adult-only home. I've been speaking with the foster mom for about 3 weeks, and she told me how hard it's been to find the perfect owner for baby girl.
Not only does baby girl need an adult-only home, but it's also preferred that she's the only animal in the house, so she can't go to a family with another dog or cat. That narrows down the list of potential owners to mainly young adults, who often live in apartment buildings that don't allow pit bulls, or with roommates who are afraid of pit bulls. Baby girl seems to be thriving in foster care right now but, unfortunately, the foster mom can't afford to keep her because she already has a dog.
Foster mom and I have had a few lengthy conversations now about baby girl's demeanor in foster care, and some of her known behavior issues. Baby girl doesn't like men and will usually growl at them if they come near. Foster mom didn't mention any violent incidents, but also that she can't definitively say whether or not baby girl is a biter since her history is still largely unknown. Baby girl can be dominant around other dogs, but thankfully has gotten along fine with foster mom's dog. Baby girl also resource guards, but no mention of snapping or aggression. Foster mom said overall, baby girl needs a lot of patience, positive reinforcement, consistency, and lots and lots of love to build trust.
2. Why I'm the best candidate
I'm single, live alone, have no pets, and my landlords are okay with a pitbull. So far, I'm only one who's come along expressing interest in baby girl and who meets all the foster mom's criteria. I've never owned, nor have I fostered, but I've been the designated dog sitter for just about anyone I know with a dog for the past several years. I've also been around pit bulls my entire life, so I'm well aware of their reputation, and just how lethal they can be if they become violent and aren't trained properly.
As far as baby girl's behavior goes, I understand that "needing an adult-only home" means that she can't be around children, or really anyone who can't read and appropriately respond to her body language. I'm a young adult not planning to have kids ANY time soon, and none of my close friends have kids, so that's really no problem. My friends are also dog people, so I feel confident they wouldn't overstep baby girl's boundaries. If, god forbid, anything happened that would make baby girl feel threatened and react aggressively towards people, I feel confident that I have the physical strength to restrain her.
I understand I need to put a lot of work into training and caring for baby girl. Even though I'm in grad school, I thankfully get to work from home most days of the week which means I won't have to leave her home alone for hours on end. Summer also starts soon and my schedule will be free of classes with minimal research. That'll give me the time I need to help acclimate her to the new home, establish a routine, and hopefully build a trusting relationship. The foster mom has told me I'm exactly the kind of owner she's dreamed of for baby girl.
3. My reservations
Despite being trusted to watch my friends' dogs over the years, I'm still very inexperienced. I've never personally owned a dog. As a first time owner, adopting an anxious rescue pit bull is a HUGE undertaking. I reached out to a dogtrainer to schedule a behavior consult and see about learning some training techniques, but upon learning about baby girl's history, the trainer HIGHLY recommended I go with another dog.
And, look.. I know this isn't going to be easy. I know it would be sooo much simpler for me to get a young, confident dog who would need practically no time to get settled. I also know that just because the right owner hasn't come along before me, doesn't mean one won't come along after me. But, the longer she is in foster care, the harder it's going to be to transition her to a new home. I might fit the criteria the foster mom is looking for in an owner, but I'm trying not to let that pressure me into making a potentially irresponsible decision.
I also live in an apartment, and baby girl right now is in a BIG house with a backyard that she can run around whenever she wants. I have a small patio that she might like to hang out on, but we'll for sure need to go on daily walks. Even still, will walks be enough? There's a dog park close to my apartment, but there's no way I can let her off leash to run around. At least, not until we develop a strong recall and definitely not until I can trust her around other dogs. Isn't that kind of unfair, that she might not get any chance to run free for weeks, or maybe months?
And then, in terms of the cost, I'm on a grad school salary - not exactly swimming in excess income. I've been considering rescuing a dog for quite a while and checked my budget to see if it would be possible. I know I can definitely afford food, regular vet visits, grooming every so often, that kind of stuff. Also, the foster mom is going to give me all of baby girl's comforts like her bed, toys, favorite treats, etc., so that eliminates most up-front costs. She's also already spayed, chipped, and has her shots. But if something serious happens to her, I don't have thousands lying around to pay for a big vet bill. I have some savings and maybe could use a credit card, but it's such a scary thought that I might not be able to pay for the care she needs.
As much as I feel emotionally ready and willing to adopt baby girl, I'm terrified by the sheer amount of responsibility that comes with caring for another life. She's going to be with me for the next 7-10 years. I'll be graduating in just about 3 years, and then who knows what life will throw at me. Is a couple of years enough time to address her behavior issues? I just don't know. I'm scared, she's scared, we're a couple of nervous nellies. I’m leaving my place soon, so there’s a bed in a double room that will be available from the 1st of June (with doors open to stay for the next a.y. 2024/2025 and possibility to change to another room in September) in via Pietro Danieletti, Arcella area. The place is for a female student or worker.
It is 5 minutes walking to the tram stop, lines 04, 22, 24 and 2 minutes walking to lines 06, 15 stop. The apartment consists in 3 double rooms and 2 single rooms, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, heaters, big kitchen with dishwasher, dining table, smart TV and two refrigerators, one big terrace and Wifi.
It is 350 euros/month (all the expenses included) + 500 euros deposit.

Got a buddy who I’ve been close to since I was 17. We’re in our mid 40s now.
I’m getting married in 2 weeks. We’re going less formally than some weddings. A dinner for family and then a separate dinner for about 25 friends.
I’ve had a lot of difficulty with some of my guy friends over the years as I have different ideas than some of them about respect etc.
Some of these difficulties have had to be resolved in stupid macho ways. But they are mostly resolved now.
But I got that one friend…who just keeps being dumb. Says dumb stuff. Looks to provoke in dumb ways. Let’s call him D for obvious reasons.
Nearly all my other guy friends are married and have kids. D is not. D always fancied himself as the stud of the group. This is not the case. He would say dumb stuff when we were younger like “I’m gonna sleep with all your future wives” etc
He’s a good looking guy and can be very charming and has had a few girlfriends. But he’s been single and circling dating app hell while living with his ex girlfriend (J) for years now.
He dumped J for some arm candy years back who then dropped him after a couple of weeks. He went crawling back to J but she was having none of it. They’re still good friends. He still wants back in - wishes he was married to J and they had a family. But it’s never gonna happen.
I’ve noticed, what I think is him getting ever more bitter of his friend’s happiness in recent times.
He was a disgrace at the last of our friend’s wedding. Generally boorish and disrespectful. And he’s often said nasty things about some of our friend’s wives behind their backs.
Last year when I told him I was buying the family home from my Dad (home ownership being something he craves but will probably never achieve) - his response was “Why? For somewhere to die in?”.
I’m often dumbfounded by people’s callousness or their inability to be happy for others so I was left speechless and didn’t rebuke him. I’ve had this kind of experience with him many times.
But I often think of D as my closest friend. He’s helped me out in the past when no one else would and I’ve always felt like I owe him.
So anyway - couple of days ago while chatting to him on messages about plans for the wedding he sent me a comedy sketch clip of a wedding couple receiving their wedding blessing from their priest.
The priest says something like -
“I now pronounce you man and wife. To be the last people each of you ever sleep with. To have children that will disappoint you and will hate you. (To the bride) To be left alone when he dies before you and to have no man want you then because you’re past it”.
My exact response was - You should keep your sad childish thoughts to yourself.
So he blew up on me - calling me humourless and mean spirited etc. And he keeps doubling down on this attitude and going through all the jerk off gears - projection, gaslighting, victim blaming and so on.
I’m on the verge of telling him to steer clear of our happy occasion. As I don’t want his bad faith, snide crap spoiling it.
He will take this very badly as he has an eggshell ego. And I doubt we will ever be the same again.
It may also be a very divisive thing among our friends. He’s very popular amongst the group and everyone gets on with him. He doesn’t show this side of himself to others as much as I’ve seen it.
It will be a noticeable exclusion and it will be commented on by everyone at the dinner.
The gossip it generates and the doubts over who is in the right (as I have no intention of spending my day recounting this sorry tale) could spoil the day as well.
But I believe I’ve reached my breaking point with him. And I think if he tries his crap when I’m in full on good faith & good cheer mode then I’ll likely lash out at him.
Am I being overly sensitive? Is this just the way dumb guys are? Should I grin & bear it or give my buddy the chop?

Our company is using VMWare Horizon Clients to access our virtualized windows desktops.
When working from home, I'm the only one using MacOS as the host and hence our IT-department is not able to help me out on this topic.
Obviously I searched the internet but cannot find any solution to the below issue.
Normally, when using the US International Keyboard, I'm able to use "dead keys" to get characters like é and ü etc.
I'm also able to use single and double quotes like this ' ".
This is now typed on my MacOS host system.
However, when I try to do the same in the Windows guest, those keys do not seem to work and I also cannot use the single / double quotes to emphasize strings.
This happens on both the MacBook internal Keyboard as well as the external keyboard.
Here's some system information:

  • VMWare Horizon Client
    • Version 2312.2
    • Build 8.12.2
  • Configured Keyboard: US International
• Guest
  • Windows 10 Pro

Be aware that when running this on our office thin clients with related Windows VMWare Horizon Client, I can properly use all those dead keys!

I will update with the office VMWare Horizon Client version tomorrow (when I'm at work).
Because of the normal operation on windows / windows, I'm suspecting a MacOS Configuration issue.
Any thoughts on how to fix this for my MacOS host?
