Now I find myself buying dresses and jewelry I never really get to wear, wondering how the Hell women make awesome buns (the YouTube vids are witchcraft, I'm telling you), and wishing there was some opportunity to force my bf into a suit for one night so we can go out.
The issue is, I'm a total homebody and only leave to go to work, where I have a uniform; I don't know how to use makeup, and it tends to make me lightheaded; I have absolutely no idea how to even begin trying to do my hair; I think it'd be dumb to pay for nail extensions when I eventually tear them off; I can't fathom how to begin doing my own nails; and, above all, I don't have friends or know any girls aside from bf's sister, and she's states away and even he's not sure she could help me figure this all out.
I find myself wanting to go shopping for dresses and outfits I'll never wear or will never feel cute enough to wear, I find myself wanting to do girly things that I've never had the chance to do earlier, and I have absolutely no idea how to do them within my own parameters. I also think this is largely contributing to my intense marriage/baby fever, which I try to actively tamp down but have absolutely no way to.
So, I really just have to ask... does anyone have any ideas?
(Btw, I only wrote all the issues above to give everyone an idea of what I'm dealing with here, to help formulate ideas that I won't have to shoot down due to them. I don't want to be mean, I'm sorry.)

To be clear, I don't believe in any supernatural nonsense. I couldn't be any less superstitious and therefore believe that I owe this whole thing to a giant coincidence and nothing more. But it is pretty spooky nonetheless.
This happened when I was a kid. I had gone to a swimming pool with my dad. We were making jumps from the 5m diving board and at one point after he'd dived it took him a while to get back to the surface. I have no idea why, but my mind jumped to this episode of Doc Martin (a series my parents used to watch) where this one guy dislocated his shoulder. For some reason I thought this might have happened to my dad. But once he resurfaced I was relieved to see that he was alright.
About 15 mins later my dad dived into the water again and when he came back up I could see that something was wrong. It looked like he was in pain. Immediately my mind jumped back to this scene involving the dislocated shoulder. My dad asked me to call for help. I did so without any hesitation, as though I'd been waiting for him to ask. The lifeguard helped him out of the water and lo and behold, he had dislocated his shoulder.
He was then transported to hospital and I was left feeling insanely weird about the situation.
I've never told this story to anyone because of how weird it is. Also had no idea you could dislocate your shoulder by hitting water at a bad angle. Hope you enjoyed.

It started in my teenage years and has become worse, especially in the last few years when our tastes and opinions have drifted apart, he calls me fat, claims i always break stuff (a good example is the stairs, one day i said one of the steps felt strange and he fixed it by hammering in a nail, except that actually diverted the stress to the wrong part and the whole thing cracked, he has blamed me ever since because i'm 'overweight') he always tries to get into my phones, he tries to hack my iPhone for instance by showing it to my face or just pictures of my face.
A few months ago i bought a kilt and he has not shut up about that either, 'why do you want to dress like a woman?' 'we're not scottish' 'you're going to get yourself beat up wearing that' and he spews anti-kilt rhetoric in my face, today he asked me if i wanted a pride kilt, starting rumours that i'm LGBTQ+ is one of his favorite things to do.
He also harrasses me about my long hair, saying it's dirty, needs to be cut, or why i'm growing it long or making up rumours, he sometimes puts his hand in my hair.
He also spies on me, i ask to borrow his phone for something and go down his pictures, i find potshots of my computer monitor and my phone screen, i was just playing bitlife on my phone and he wasn't convinced, he kept asking me what 'website that is' and where i 'got the 101,000 euros from' he only realized when he googled it.
He hates my taste in music, doesn't like me singing and thinks i'm sexually attracted to a former member of one of my favorite bands.
I have a feeling the reason why he's been worse lately is because a few days ago i had to change the password to my youtube account, i got an email about a comment reply and it turned out he'd been using my account to argue with people and spam this one popular youtuber, honestly the comments reminded me of yayvideogames.
He's also very paranoid in general, always thinks i'm writing about him and demands to see everything i do on my computer, if i happen to change tabs just as he walks in he accuses me of hiding something and demands to see it.
Stuff of mine has been broken before too, like several fountain pens, he let a dog chew up a 50s esterbrook and hid the remains from me, he went through a hypergraphia phase of writing lots of things in my books and ruining the pages, he also once took an axe to my xbox controller because he lost a game.
I'll appreciate any advice on what i can do, what i can say, etc i think some of the harassment is bordering on assault especially touching my hair and clothes, i also have audio evidence of him telling me he doesn't want me wearing a kilt.

I am not quite sure of how US credit cards work, but here's how it goes for me. I have bank issued credit card with a fixed amount of money on it which I can spend as I like and deposit them back with no interest at all as long as I do the payment by the given date and no later than that (I can also purchase stuff on installments with no interest). It holds 6.270 (that's the maximum amount on it) and the current amount is 1.938,89 (I have a fixed 508,25 payment each month for a cellphone I bought last winter and to that amount we add whatever amount I use during the month). Am I supposed to create a new account in YNAB for line of credit/credit card, set the target to the maximum amount my card can hold and then set the current amount then work my way to the amount it can hold? How do I register the purchases I make with it? Thank you for your time.

I've been through too much and am way over my limit. Grew up in an industry where I was used by adults & abused on all levels by clients and agents. I never saw any of the money I made. My parents fought every day growing up, then made me the therapist/referee for them. One also molested me as a child repeatedly. My first boyfriend also SA'd me. I've never talked about that to anyone except one person, who I love so much but all I seem to be able to do is make his life worse, and I delude myself somehow into thinking it's the other way around. Yes I have BPD.
When my parents split and one got out, I became the punching bag because I stayed. And then I was homeless. And then I was back in the same industry and almost starved myself to death. I tried to kill myself then. I failed and got 5150d. I felt like a failure for failing even at that. My mom started using it as something to hold over my head. I tried to cut her off. I ended up resolving things with my dad, who was the victim before I was with my mom. And then he fucking died. And then all his debt fell on me. And my entire family on his side started laying all their issues on me, and cut me off from family gatherings.
Then my only other tether (grandparent) passed from being sad about my dad and my dad's sister dragged me through court over it and my being left things she didn't see fit. She didn't even see me as human, let alone family. I had to move back in with my mom around this time and she took out everything on me again. But this time she even tried to kill me several times. I thought I was going to end up dead because of her but somehow didn't. Or worse we'd both hurt each other, but for me from self defense. Around this time I also found out I have a health condition that's killing me. I'm going to be lucky to make it to 32. And no one knows. And now that's only 5 years away and I can feel my body falling apart and no one sees a thing.
All I do is hurt people I love. And not even realize it until it's too late. I tried to go to therapy, but I can't afford it anymore. I can't get medicated because of shortages either. It feels like there's no point in my existing. Why was I here if only to suffer so much? I miss my family but they're all dead. One of my aunts just died and I don't know how to keep holding on. And then one of my younger sisters, the ONLY ones keeping me here and sane, TRIED TO KILL HERSELF when I was out of town for my aunt's funeral. What is the point of my being here if I can't even stop them from making my mistakes?!
Where I'm so unlovable that everyone tires of me eventually?! That I'm here just to die?! And then my mom tops it off the other day telling me she regrets ever having me. I didn't ask to be born. I didn't ask for any of this so why does it keep happening?! What did I ever do to deserve this kind of life??? Where when I think I'm starting to get my shit together I find out my delusion was delusioning too close to the sun again. I barely pay my bills. I'm in debt still. I would've been okay if I could only just get my shit together but I keep making the same loop. I don't want to keep hurting people I love.

Dear FIAT USA:
Last year I purchased a used 2014 FIAT 500L with less than 60,000 miles on it. In the year I’ve owned it, I’ve experienced the following failures that have needed repair:
· Turbo failure
· Headliner sag / adhesive failure
· Exterior paint clear-coat failure
· Neutral safety switch Failure
· Rear hatch latch failure
· Alarm system programming failure
· Tire pressure monitoring system module failure
· Multi-air brick failure
· Driver sun visor failure (stalk became brittle, snapped)
· Passenger sun visor tension failure
· Rear license plate light assembly failure
· Coolant system component failure
The last of the latter listed failures (I’m sitting here thinking there HAS TO BE at least one other thing I’ve missed on that long distinguished list) required radiator replacement as well as upper and lower radiator hose replacement. Unfortunately, the upper radiator hose, part number 68261751AA, is on indefinite backorder as it has been for months. My car has likewise been undriveable for months as it requires said part to be operational again.
It’s one thing to make vehicles that are of low-quality, such low quality that the cost of repairing this vehicle far exceeds the (roughly) $10,000 I paid for it in only a year’s time. But, it’s another thing to manufacture vehicles…of any quality standard…but particularly those of FIAT standards where it’s well-known that replacement parts WILL BE NEEDED and OFTEN…..and NOT STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS SUCH THAT DEALERSHRIPS MAY AVAIL THEMSELVES TO SAID PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED.
Are you surprised you sold a total of 602 new FIAT vehicles in the United States during the entirety of 2023? That’s a far cry from the 46, 999 units you sold in 2012. People thought back in 2012 they could trust FIAT again; surely they were not the same build quality as they were in the 1980s when you withdrew from the United States entirely, right? But, apparently, as stupid as the average consumer is, even they understood how bad FIAT quality still was and it showed by 2017 when sales began dropping to a tune of 26,492 units. When I talk to FIAT dealers, few and far between as they are in the United States, I see no new cars being offered. The sales reps say they are by special order only because the demand isn’t there. The truth of the matter is that not only consumers don’t want them but the mechanics at FIAT dealerships cringe whenever anyone brings a FIAT in for service and repair because even the factory authorized dealers have a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with these things. Places like Jiffy Lube won’t even touch a FIAT, not even for a simple oil change! Some extended warranty companies won’t even sell a policy covering these vehicles; is it a wonder why?
I had to go out and buy a second car while still continuing to may payments on this 2014 FIAT 500L, thus mandating I make two car payments in lieu of one that I can barely afford (thus why I bought the car in the first place, as valuation on used FIATs are understandably depressed as compared to other makes here) just so the 500L can sit for God knows how long in the dealer’s satellite lot and rot away under a tree while it futility awaits FIAT to ship a radiator hose. You’d think one would be able to use a generic radiator hose but no: that hose was made to be specific for that car such that I cannot even substitute a generic because of a fitting specific to the model! You have to be kidding me!
You all should be ashamed of yourselves, first of all. Second of all, I hope you pull out of the United States market altogether. Why stay here in the States if you are not wanting to put forward effort in stocking even the simplest of parts for the cars you do offer here? Even the parts that were available in the long list of those that failed that I previously enumerated only numbered less than a handful in availability, such as there having been one sole neutral safety switch that the dealer was able to see available in national inventory when that failed. As the dealership’s service manager put it: “It’s almost like they want these things off of the road”. I don’t think you all want these things off the road. In fact, I don’t think the cars you sell to U.S motorists even cross your mind after they drive off of the sales floor. FIAT simply does not care about FIAT owners and the cars they are attempting to maintain!

It’s one thing to make vehicles that are of low-quality, such low quality that the cost of repairing this vehicle far exceeds the (roughly) $10,000 I paid for it in only a year’s time. But, it’s another thing to manufacture vehicles…of any quality standard…but particularly those of FIAT standards where it’s well-known that replacement parts WILL BE NEEDED and OFTEN…..and NOT STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS SUCH THAT DEALERSHRIPS MAY AVAIL THEMSELVES TO SAID PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED.
Are you surprised you sold a total of 602 new FIAT vehicles in the United States during the entirety of 2023? That’s a far cry from the 46, 999 units you sold in 2012. People thought back in 2012 they could trust FIAT again; surely they were not the same build quality as they were in the 1980s when you withdrew from the United States entirely, right? But, apparently, as stupid as the average consumer is, even they understood how bad FIAT quality still was and it showed by 2017 when sales began dropping to a tune of 26,492 units. When I talk to FIAT dealers, few and far between as they are in the United States, I see no new cars being offered. The sales reps say they are by special order only because the demand isn’t there. The truth of the matter is that not only consumers don’t want them but the mechanics at FIAT dealerships cringe whenever anyone brings a FIAT in for service and repair because even the factory authorized dealers have a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with these things. Places like Jiffy Lube won’t even touch a FIAT, not even for a simple oil change! Some extended warranty companies won’t even sell a policy covering these vehicles; is it a wonder why?
I had to go out and buy a second car while still continuing to may payments on this 2014 FIAT 500L, thus mandating I make two car payments in lieu of one that I can barely afford (thus why I bought the car in the first place, as valuation on used FIATs are understandably depressed as compared to other makes here) just so the 500L can sit for God knows how long in the dealer’s satellite lot and rot away under a tree while it futility awaits FIAT to ship a radiator hose. You’d think one would be able to use a generic radiator hose but no: that hose was made to be specific for that car such that I cannot even substitute a generic because of a fitting specific to the model! You have to be kidding me!
You all should be ashamed of yourselves, first of all. Second of all, I hope you pull out of the United States market altogether. Why stay here in the States if you are not wanting to put forward effort in stocking even the simplest of parts for the cars you do offer here? Even the parts that were available in the long list of those that failed that I previously enumerated only numbered less than a handful in availability, such as there having been one sole neutral safety switch that the dealer was able to see available in national inventory when that failed. As the dealership’s service manager put it: “It’s almost like they want these things off of the road”. I don’t think you all want these things off the road. In fact, I don’t think the cars you sell to U.S motorists even cross your mind after they drive off of the sales floor. FIAT simply does not care about FIAT owners and the cars they are attempting to maintain!

As for those who are wondering about my company, its worth about $100m today. Revenues grew a lot, then flatlined. The rocket ship ran out of juice!
Although the business was loss-making when the post was written, it has since turned profitable. That was really nice to see.
I sold secondary through the journey and own just under 10% now.
I also stepped down from my day to day role at company 1 and started my second company. My new company is worth about $15m and I own the majority of it. It's also profitable already - not sure I want a second venture journey!

Nope. I actually left the subreddit. I got tired of reading the same old get rich quick schemes and the constant posts from people who were worried that their incredible ideas would be stolen.
So, four years on - have my views changed?
Entrepreneurship is NOT about big ideas - I am firm in my belief that entrepreneurship is not about big ideas. The longer I've been in this game the more founders I've met who have relatively normal ideas, executed very well. With generative AI, the floodgates to big ideas have opened. Now is the best time to build!
Successful entrepreneurs spend more time empowering others to build their business - Still believe this and perhaps even more so today. This time around I have delegated my core responsibilities to others much faster and have been rewarded with faster growth and a better work life balance (I've got a bigger family now).
Businesses aren't built for you - This time I've given away a lot more equity in the business to my team. This was only possible because I own a much larger stake this time around.
Essentially, my views haven't changed at all.
Any new learnings in the last four years? A tonne! A few that spring to mind that are not total cliche:

- Investors create politics. You may not want to play but its in the company's best interests to do so.
- Losing the majority stake is harmful to your strategy
- The superstars in your org are often difficult to manage because they need your attention. But it is so worth giving it.
- Hiring the right people is so much more important than I thought it was
- Use every single unfair advantage you have
- MVPs are over!
- It is an advantage when you own the majority and your competitors have to strategize with a board.

i’m extremely lucky being 18m and not having to pay any type of bills because of living with parents, so i want to take advantage of my situation and want to know if what im doing is right. as of right now i make $15 an hour at a car wash, ive worked here for around 7 months and about to get promoted to assistant manager at $17 or $18 an hour im not sure yet. every other paycheck i’ll also get $200-300 in commission for sales, so ill be making prolly minimum $2600 a month. but with making $15 rn im putting away $400 a month into a roth ira, and also putting around $300 into an acorns account, using that as a saving/emergency fund. i jus turned 18 so i started that a little over a month ago and have a little over $600 in each of those investment accounts. i just want to stay out of debt and be prepared for my future. i also got a credit card which im specifically using for gym membership and gas, and paying it off at each month. im trying to build my credit score for when my girlfriend is out of college and we are looking for a house. im jus really trying to do the right thing and wondering if there’s anymore more i should do.

So…all of my three players are addicted to detective stories and heavy on lore and I’m pretty sure at least one of them is paranoid. We are having a blast! Since mark of the beast was such a gratifying adventure for them, I continued on that line and further complicated wrath of the warden and it turned out well. Anadea was used as the secret daughter of lasifor and yagaba who used her to infiltrate the temple and the iron pact. The corruption from eox ritual actually hasten the transformation of goblins to trolls so father sarvola attempt to civilise them is to deter them from going that path and so on All in all The framework of tWotW and now witch hammer - is awesome. So many ingredients for a cool brew that makes us really look forward to next session.

Disclaimer: I don’t want people to read this and think I’m dogging on fireteam or think they’re op and that predator is for sure not worth playing. This is just my experience as someone brand new to the game.
So I got the game two days ago and while playing I can see why people don’t like the fire team. So In some game I’ve noticed that the fireteam seems to view the predator more as an obstacle rather than a threat. Like I has games where right off the bat I was the one being hunted ironically and then other times I was actually doing really well. I can see tho that the fireteam often doesn’t even see me as a threat like how in most games the “killer” would be like I’ve actually had on two occasions a fireteam member chase me around because it seemed like they knew they could kill me. I will say tho I do like that the game doesn’t make the predator seem like some unstoppable being cause after all that’s not what they are and the challenge is pretty fun I just sometimes feel like in order to succeed you kind of have to play a certain way or use a certain loadout which is never really all that fun. Needless to say I still like the game and am excited to see what they do with the upcoming updates.

2024.05.16 22:03 Subatomic_Spooder Upgrade to S22 Ultra or Pixel 8?
I currently use an LG Wing, it's been my daily for over a year now. However, it gets really bogged down at times, the battery life doesn't always get me through the day (I often find myself charging around 5 or 6), the swivel screen is cool but it also got misaligned when I dropped it a while back. It's getting loose and also has dirt in the hinge somewhere that grinds when I rotate it. I'm also just tired of having such a heavy phone that hasn't been updated in 4 years. I love showing off the swivel screen to people, but nothing really supports it anymore except YouTube, and all that does is let you pause the video with the bottom screen. You used to be able to split screen games and have a map on the bottom or other cool stuff, but I can't make that work anymore. Overall I feel like I'm sacrificing a lot just for a fun gimmick I never really use. So I'm looking to buy a new phone but not sure which way to go. Through my carrier, I could get a discounted brand new Pixel 8 for $449 USD. I think it would fit my needs pretty well, and I used to use a Pixel 4a so it would be like going back home in a way. On the other hand, I like the big size of the Wing and the s22 ultra would be more similar in size. They seem to go for around $450-500 USD for great to excellent refurbished condition. I'm worried on the 8's smaller screen I'd miss having that extra .5" of real estate, but the S22 Ultra has the same screen size as my Wing. I tried holding a display model s22 at a store a few months ago and I liked the feel in my hand, so I know I'd like its size. The Pixel I know is smaller so I'd have to adjust to it. The s22 also has more camera lenses, and I love to take photos on my phone so that would be a bonus for me. My Wing has a manual camera mode, which I think the s22 Ultra does as well, whereas the Pixel 8 doesn't. Since I like to mess around with camera stuff I would miss manual mode for a while. I'm not really a power user, I mainly just use social media, look stuff up, play a couple light mobile games, watch videos/movies, and listen to music. I doubt I'd notice much of a performance difference between the two. That said it just seems like the s22 Ultra is a more premium device with more features, so for (roughly) the same price why would I not choose it?

I'd have no or less warranty, way fewer years of software support, an already used battery, and potentially end up with a phone that has scuffs or scratches. Hey all. Kind of in the middle of a very long exchange migration to o365. We are trying to decom an absolutely ancient 2008 box that only operates as a internal smtp relay for other servers/printers/ect.
I have a clear path forward of replicating the receive connectors on a new exchange server and then adding the old IPs to the new server. My question lies in what the best practice is when using a server with multiple IP addresses on exchange.
Does adding additional IPs to the server disrupt mail sending in any way? We have a bunch of fire wall rules and such to restrict the mail flow to be from specific IPs when leaving the org. I just want to make sure I wont break any sending of email via the IPs in place by adding more IPs for this server to receive mail on a specific connector.

I love mobile so much it is so convenient for checking things on the go! But i also love to trade using mobile as well and here are some obstacles i have interacting with the game in a trading perspective.
First, i am unable to click links in the chat to preview items and when i do it picks up a random one on the chat and not the one i tap on.
Second, texting in the text chat. Im not sure if anyone else has this problem and my fingers are just fat but in the middle of typing a long sentence the keyboard sometimes closes on me and i will have to retype everything, i ended up making copy and pastes on my notebook to avoid typing in game in general so thats my temp fix.
Third, managing a clan is a bit of a pain to do on mobile cus in order to select clan members you can only do it one time before you have to close the page and open it again to attempt to tap their name again in order to promote, demote, or access the applications of players trying to join.
4th, im pretty sure this is intentional so its not that big of a deal, but you cant access decorating in your orbiter or in the dojo on mobile (At least for me)
