We just returned from Lanzarote in canary islands, and had a great time, but because of the very strong wind, which impacted just walking around and being in the sea, we are hesisitant to go back
I was actually hopeful that Lanzarote would be a great repeat travel spot for us, given there are some nice beaches that you can actually swim properly in (how it was sold to me before), rather than just say splash around, and has great weather in the less busy months of May and September and October.
Seeking similar locations, that just arent as windy. Not looking for expensive trips, but want a mix of easily available eating options, and public transport, i.e. not a desolate location, and somewhere easy enough to get to from flying in. Flying from UK, but fairly flexible with upto say 5-6 hour flight max.

Hi I'm a birthmom. I have had a really postive open adoption for 12 years, the 12yo has always seemed very bonded and happy, they are well supported and we visit, and talk, always have.
My placed child has always been curious and close to me but firmly attached to his parents, he asks often about his birth dad and I answer positively, he has not asked me directly why he does not know him.
I recently connected with the birth father because I too was unsure if he knew despite my many efforts in the past, it went disappointingly poor and he seemed unsafe for a kid to know.
I of course will provide his information when the child is an adult but I am interested in adult adoptee prespective on this.
Am I wrong to suggest keeping the birthdad at bay until the child is more mature? The adoptive parents have had his information and allow me to judge but have asked if I have made contact many times as their child has many questions.
He has hard times and increasing confusion no doubt because his birthparents are neurodivergent and his adoptive parents are neurotypical, and he is entering puberty.
We all know adoption is a trauma and do the best we can to support him and be flexible. I am open to any and all thoughts, comments, concerns.

My partner and I have been renting a place since the spring of 2022. We signed a fixed term lease agreement although the landlord said, in writing, that they had no intention of moving in at the end of it and there would be an option to renew. That being said they still checked box E on the lease agreement which states
"At the end of this time, the tenancy is ended and the tenant must vacate the rental unit. This requirement is only permitted in circumstances prescribed under section 13.1 of the Residential Tenancy Regulation, or if this is a sublease agreement as defined in the Act."
Below this there is a section that states "Reason tenant must vacate (required):"
In this section our landlord wrote "Only if landlord becomes required to move back in. Otherwise, lease will be renewed."
Our lease has now ended and our landlord is trying to get us to sign a new, identical lease but can only guarantee 6 months. Because of the uncertainty of the duration of our current rental my partner and I said we would like to go month to month so we have flexibility to look for a new place. Our landlord has responded saying if we don't sign a new lease they will enforce the previous lease I described above and require us to vacate for their personal use. Or we can Sign a new 6 month lease with an addendum that would generously allow us to give 2 months notice to vacate after 4 months minimum as they are going to be away for the summer, lol.

Apologies if this is not the best place for it, but seems like the best community to learn from.
My wife and I currently work in the US and plan to move back to Bangalore/Pune in about 2-3 years with our 3-4 year old kid. We are strong believers in education and would love to understand what schooling options we should be considering when we move back.
Luckily we have done well financially so we do not expect to have significant financial constraints when we move back; so the only focus would be on getting a school with an environment that really supports learning and development for our kid (eg. fees of up to 10 lakhs a month are alright). Location is not a constraint either because we might retire by the time we get back or will have good flexibility in terms of working remotely.
With that in mind, what recommendations would people have in terms of schools, their pros and cons, etc?
