For example the sound of my mom chomping on chips sends me into a self harm spiral. I literally go in my drawer and pop as many pills as I can to get high, it’s that bad.

Idk why certain sounds trigger this. The only other time it was this bad was when I was in the mental hospital, and the sound of music playing on the speaker sent me into a violent rage. They had to turn off the music and I feel so bad about it.

Putting this out here for discussion about marketing strategy. Recently Bumble changed its approach so that for the first time men can message women first. (It was known as the only dating app where women make the first move, theoretically protecting them from a lot of garbage they experience on other apps.) There was a backlash to their ad campaign promoting this change. I’ll post a pic of the campaign here, and the text of their auto reply for those who complained, below.
To me….. the crux of where they went wrong is at the core of the role of a brand strategist - and that is to understand the potential customer and existing customer and leverage an insight that will resonate.
In this case they practically did the exact opposite. Ie helpful insights (like those they finally clued into in their email below), were completely ignored. Insights such as “this online dating thing is still really frustrating for everyone!”. Could have been leveraged
What does everyone think? Where did they go wrong? What insight could have led to a great campaign?

Namely Miguel, Robby, Hawk, Sam and Tory compared to Karate Kid movie versions of Daniel, Johnny, Chozen and Mike. If you want you can look at some of the other teens of the show like the Payne brothers and Demetri or the Vietnam War versions of Kreese and Silver.
I think there's a pretty decent discussion to be had here. Johnny, Chozen and Mike Barnes all had years upon years of constant experience by the time they appeared in their respective movies which gives them a pretty solid edge over any teen in the show; Daniel, of course, learned from Mr. Miyagi himself. However, each of the main teens in Cobra Kai have learned Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai styles and have trained under these same characters as adults, which is pretty important since Daniel defeated pretty much all of his antagonists when he was inexperienced using techniques that any of the main teens should be able to pull off, and neither Johnny or Chozen ever learned the opposing style (Mike Barnes never knew Miyagi Do either but he got hired before he ever trained in Cobra Kai, so eh) while Daniel basically hated the Cobra Kai he did learn. To give a quick list for the main ones:

To me, this signals that the modern teens are overall a bit less capable as far as individual styles go, but their superior training for the most part makes up for the experience deficit. And it's not like they're bad at the individual styles they trained primarily in, it's just that the dual-style makes them that much better (rewatch Piper vs Sam in Season 4 for reference). Of course, the movie teens arguably had better fighters as their teachers and a more personal connection with their styles, so that might have also influenced their growth and skills.
So, I don't know. I feel like Season 6 is where we'll definitively see the teens become better than the movie teens, but for now, it's a bit of a toss up. What do y'all think?

I recently had my card stolen and opened a claim soon after it happened with BofA. They sent me a text when it happened letting me know that the pin they tried to enter was incorrect. I obviously responded right away saying i didn’t not authorize the charge. I was credited for the amount they used on my card. Just this week i noticed they took all those funds back, and closed my claim. They denied it and their reason for that outcome is because i was on and off my app about 10 times during the course of my card being used which is ridiculous and infuriating. They said i did not have a sense of urgency. Mind you this happened in Vegas at 4am on a Saturday morning. Of course i am going to be checking my account while i notice funds being used. I did not call right away because i didn’t think anyone would be able to assist me at that time. I reopened the claim and sent in the text messages i received from them that prove i did not make those charges. I also sent in a receipt for my i.d renewal because my whole wallet was stolen. What are the chances that they provide a different outcome for the claim? Any help or opinions would be helpful

This is my first time fostering. I was given a beautiful long haired black and white kitty. She has been a sweetheart but the rescue has been very…weird.
First, they gave her to me with poop all over her underside/stomach, her butt, her tail and some on her back. She was matted in random places. I didn’t notice this until I got home because they handed her to me in a crate and then gave me very basic info. I have a resident cat; the information was useless.
So I called, texted, and emailed them to let them know the circumstances. Why was she allowed to leave the rescue like this? They said she got straight off a 14 hour drive to the rescue a couple hours before I picked her up..
Poor thing was so uncomfortable it was depressing. They told me to take her back to the rescue on Friday… mind you it was Saturday when they told me this. So they wanted me to wait almost a week to get her clean and made sure to mention that if I got her groomed myself, they would not reimburse me.
At this point I felt so bad I just bit the bullet and got her cleaned. It was NOT cheap..
Anyways fast forward to today. She had jelly like diarrhea with a concerning amount of blood all over my kitchen floor. And the first couple days I had her, she pooped all over the bathroom floor multiple times. I believe she has severe inflammation. I let them know this; they directed me to their vet — who is overseas at the moment :/
So I texted the vet who told me to give her canned pumpkin and stop giving her wet food. Cool. But then I proceeded to tell her that the kitty is incredibly underweight and is eating anything she lays eyes on (I’m feeding her lots of food every meal). She has even jumped on my counter to rip through her dry food.
I mentioned that I don’t want to free feed her..The vet responded “Definitely free feed adult cats”
Huh??? Every vet I’ve been to with my resident kitty has advised against this. I don’t know if I want to foster with this place anymore.

My 8 year old has been playing ball since T-ball. He Fields, hits and throws great.
At home he can throw (hard) right at 90’. We work from 25-30ish back to 75-80 and then he lets a few hops off to get to around 90.
When they practice and he’s on short or 3rd, I think he’s nervous to over throw or bad throw from that distance, being he usually plays at 2nd. I’ve saw him throw from short to 1st and it’ll hit 2’ short of the bag. I’m thinking he’s holding back that force to make sure it’s not a wild throw in his mind. I wanted to approach this in the right way and not get him down. I know he’s only 8 but he obviously has the arm to get it there. I appreciate it

So I have a ltd company and am registered for VAT. I have two employees that have use of company owned vans and as such use them for Buisness use. We are engineers who travel all round the UK. Due to strange hours working sometimes which can be late at night the guys take the vans home always as it makes things much easier from a Buisness perspective. I don’t specifically say they can use them privately but I am sure they do from time to time which I don’t mind.
I currently don’t claim any fuel VAT back for the vehicles because of the ability of them possibly using the vans for private use.
I currently do my own VAT returns and tax management until end of year which is done by the accountant.
I always side on the more cautions approach as I don’t want to claim something I should not and run everything as the rules.

Hey y’all. So I have this coworker who I’ve been working with for some time now. I consider her a friend. Let’s call her Sarah. Sarah recently shot her shot with another coworker 🤦‍♀️. We will call him Justin. Now justin has been flirting with her periodically. This is why she is confused. Sarah showed me there conversation and asked me for an opinion. I expressed that he kindly rejected her however she disagrees. (BTW I believe Justin is married. Honestly I’m not sure). Here’s the context of the conversation:

I'm hoping to get advice because I feel lost.
My boyfriend knew me before and after my transition and has always been supportive, but recently I've only been able to get positive attention from him when I dress 'feminine' (he likes for me to wear wigs or do makeup with my eyes or even dress in clothing that makes me look feminine). It's not that I hate these things in a way- because I think it can look pretty, but it just dosen't feel like it's me anymore. I like being able to look at pretty clothes or doing a cool look with makeup (especially goth) but it is a serious struggle for me to look at myself when I do these things.
I really like the attention he gives me when I dress fem for him, but it kinda makes me sad when he can't have that same energy for me normally. He's explained it as it's something he dosen't see me in a lot so he gets excited, but today he told me he prefers when I do these feminine things. I asked him if he wants a girlfriend or a boyfriend and he told me he wants me and appreciates both sides.

I click download, and once it’s done, I get a pop up that says “access to this file is denied” (I’m simplifying the message because I don’t see the point in giving my entire downloads path). No specific reason is given, just saying that it can’t.
I tried turning off my ad blocker and making an account in mediafire but it still didn’t work. Then I decided to change from Firefox to Chrome and it says that it detects a virus in the download link. I’m not sure if this is a false flag or if I’m using an outdated and dangerous link.

So I wanted to post this because I genuinely want to know if im just crazy but basically I have this friend and he was definitely my best freind i met him 2 years ago and we hit it off and It really feels like we are the same person sometimes lol. Anyway recently I've just found things to be going down hill recently. Im a highschool student in junior year and last year, my sophmore year everything was great I had lots of friends and It felt like everyone loved me and life was up yk. But this year I made the choice to take college in highschool to try and save money and it feels like this was the worst decision i've ever made. Not only have I become irrelevant but I feel so excluded and shunned by everyone I loved and felt so close to. I feel like a big part of this is that I also havent had a phone or way to communicate with most of these people for over a year know because i got grounded and my parents overreacted and are super strict and took it away till this summer. Anyway the main part of this problem was that I was finally invited to go to a party with all of these people and it was fun, but I ended up getting drunk and I put my arm around this girl twice I think, that was literally it, and I had talked to my friend after it and he totally thought she was feeling me and it wasn't like she was uncomfortable or anything is what he said and we had talked the rest of the night. Well a couple days later, apparently she was uncomfortable with it all and she told her friends and they made it out to be this harassing situation and they all thought that I was this weird person, but it wasn't her that was spreading this information, it was one of her friends that was spreading this info, and at this point my friend that this is about was still buddy buddy with her and all her friends, our friends really and he knew who was spreading this stuff, but he refused to tell me, and like we are really close friends and he refused to tell me this simple information and this was the first thing that really put me off. As I thought about it more I realized that he was still buddy buddy with them, and if this is the case I feel like he didn't say anything to defend me because if he did they wouldn't have been too happy with him, but thats just speculation. So after these events and rumors I ended up just being banned from any gatherings with MY FRIENDS just kicked out but he ended up being invited to all these parties and whatnot and ended up gatekeeping that this was happening and i only found out from observation and listening in on others' conversations about it and when i asked him about it he would just lie to my face saying he didn't know what i was talking about even though I knew obviously. And so after all this he still just gravitates more towards that whole group as literally all of my friends have seemed to but here I am just this guy that everyone's forgot about and people think is weird and in 2 weeks they're all going on a sleepover cabin trip that of course I wasn't invited to, and the thing with this is that he knows i want to hang out with my freinds again, and someone ended up canceling, and there was an open spot, but again i dont have any communication with these people so my only knowledge is through him, and basically he told me later that instead of even just trying once to try and argue for me he just tried to convince them to let him bring his gf so they can probably just fuck the entire weekend, (which btw on a side note he snuck into my work w me and his gf, but he made me walk all the way home at like 10:30pm pitch black in the forest so he could have sex with her at my work, but yk :D) anyway i was honestly really hurt by that, and his excuse was they probably dont want you there and would have said no, and also recently my mom has been in the hospital for the past month, and when i texted him about it he just didnt respond, and i know he saw it and i called him out on it as practice and he made some excuse about how he'll be there for me when i need it, but not when my mom is dying obviously, and after this i just realized that whenever i share information about me or my life, i just genuinely done think he cares and i would say 60-70% of the time he just ends up talkign about himself of something in his life and never asks me how i'm doing. But when I read the rule it seems like you only make one attack with the unit. Or am I just reading it wrong/missing something?

Can anyone well versed in HMO insurance (BCBSTX) please help me out on what I'm supposed to do in my situation. This insurance is through the marketplace.
I had to do breast imaging last year and was told to come back in 6 months. When I had the initial imaging done I was using PPO insurance, zero issues.
Now I'm due for my 6 month follow up breast imaging and I'm using HMO (never ever used this type of insurance so totally unfamiliar) so I contacted BCBSTX on what I need to do to get the imaging approved & covered and I am now getting different answers from different agents. I'm so confused and frustrated at this point.
My gynecologist has handled everything to do with ordering and managing my breast care and multiple BCBSTX agents I spoke to said my GYNECOLOGIST would need to send THEM the imaging referral so they could approve it. I've been trying to get my gyno's office to do that for weeks and they've been confused so it's taken forever. I contacted BCBSTX multiple times to confirm I was doing this correctly and multiple agents said this was what needed to be done.
I followed up today again to see if they received a referral and now I'm being told something completely different after weeks of confirming with multiple agents my gyno had to send them referrals...I always do chat so I can save what they tell me. this is what another agent told me I would need to do, this is almost verbatim apart from what I put in parentheses:

1. Find the imagining center in network that can do the breast imaging
2. The imaging center need to request the referral from the PCP. You can set the appointment with your PCP and request it (they clarified that my PCP will send them/BCBSTX the referral directly, not sure why they said the imaging center needs to request from them when they say I can request it too).
3. After they (PCP) send the referral we can approve it
4. As soon as the referral is approved, you can call us to verify how much services they request and that we approved and also to check the coverage of the service
5. You can go to the appointment with your imaging center

I don't even trust what these agents tell me anymore and they said they can't escalate it yet because no claim has been submitted. Can someone please confirm if the steps listed above are correct or what is usually supposed to be done in an HMO to get the follow up imaging covered? Any advice is deeply appreciated, thank you.

Not sure if this is the right area to post this. My sister, who is 3 years younger than me, has made it clear that she doesn't want me to give her my opinion or any advice on anything relating to her life - to the extent that if I dare to offer a suggestion or opinion or anything, she suddenly turns nasty and says things like "Until you've sorted your life out, I don't want your opinion!" and "I'm never going to listen to anything you have to say because you don't know anything!" So I hardly ever say anything now, even when she complains about her problems to me. BUT she gives me her views and opinions on things in my life every chance she gets and I have to just take it. It feels completely unfair and is making me feel stressed. I pointed this out to her, but her response was that it's not the same and then she called me a hypocrite, saying that I give her advice that I don't follow myself - which is not actually true. When I try to set boundaries with her she gets nasty. Most times we speak, it ends up becoming an argument which she always blames me for. When I've told her I'd rather we communicate only when it's essential, she doesn't respect my request and 5 minutes wants to talk to me like we're friends, yet we just can't get along and there are only about two subjects I can talk with her about that doesn't lead to an argument. To be honest, I'd rather just not communicate with her, period, but she lives with our parents and I can't see them without seeing her. I can never talk to my parents about anything without her sticking her nose into the conversation if she happens to hear it, and when she does, it always seems like it's just so that she can make out she knows more than me, so she can feel superior. What can I do? I feel like I've tried everything.

Hello! I need a lot of help trying to pay off my student loans. I have no idea what I am doing. I started paying them late last year (2023). Monthly payment is $217.50 but I pay $250 in two separate payments (2 weeks before the due date and closer to the due date).

My questions are: how can I pay them off with minimal interest paid (if possible)? Which loans should I prioritize? Should I consolidate my loans? Should I hold out on possibly having my loans forgiven? How can I make my payments work for me? Should I consider doing the SAVE plan when they quoted me $400/month?
