I need help interpreting a dream I had last night. I woke up and immediately typed everything I could remember in my notes on my phone, tried to go back to sleep but had an uneasy feeling so I just stayed awake. The note is as followed.
Dream 5/28/24
Hanging out with friends. I can't see any of their faces or voices to tell who is who. Someone left and in the front window I hear screaming "don't kill me" and look up and watch someone repeatedly stab the woman in the gut. I make eye contact with the guy. Tall, black male. Black hat, black rayban style glasses. Black leather gloves. Black wool looking coat knee length, black dress pants black nice shoes black shirt. 35-40s He makes eye contact with me.
He walked back to his car, I'm hiding under the opposing window to try and peak. Black car, boxy frame silver trim. He has a gun now. It's a rifle with a scope and a strap, solid black. He walks up to the window to try and see where I am, I get as close to the wall as I can. I hear him looking and walking around the house, when I hear him leave the window I run. I am panicking. "Where do I hide" over and over again. I can't hide anywhere traditional because that will get me killed and I don't know who's house this is. I've never been here before. I decided to hide under the bathroom sink in the cabinet behind the chemicals. I get back there easy enough thanks to being so small. I'm sitting knees to chest and my head sideways. There's no way he would think to check here. The bathroom is the first place he checks. The bathtub, shower curtain, closet. Then he just stands there breathing. Did I leave something that gave away my location?? Then I hear him taking deep breaths like he's trying to calm down. I turn my phone on airplane mode. I guess someone else in the house made a noise because he leaves in a rush. I hear a loud bang three times then nothing. I hear my own voice screaming to wake up but it's far away from me.
Woke up at 4:44 am
Key points to add: -I didn't even feel connected with anyone else emotionally in the dream. -the dream was so vivid I could smell chemicals after waking up for an hour -I'm not currently going through anything in life that's stressful or scary

Just bought my first hunting rifle. I live in MT and want to big game hunt (deer, elk, antelope, maybe moose one day). I went to Sportsmans thinking of purchasing a .308 Win Rugar but the gun dep guys convinced me that a 6.5 creedmore Rugar is what I was looking for ( my budget was ~$500). I know nothing about anything when it comes to guns and hunting so I was greatfull for the help and went with thier opinion.
Since then I have been doing more research and it seems like a lot of people say that the 6.5 creedmore is "undergunned" for anything but deer. I really only want to own one hunting rifle. I am attracted to the idea of making close range shots only, to practice for my eventual goal of bow hunting. Also I want the ammo to be widley available and it seems like the 6.5 creedmore is more niche? I have only ever shot a rifle a few times and dont want a huge recoil that Is out of my level, for lack of a better term.
Looking for opinions, keep the gun? switch to the .308 win? different caliber altogether?
I ordered the gun to the store and I havent even picked it up yet, so a switch will be painless.

New stuff first: Wedge picatinny barricade stop- pretty aggressive and sharp stop for bashing into barricades for stability
Diamond handstop/barricade stop
Mlok much less aggressive hand and barricade stop this can be flipped either way one way for a nice small low profile handstop and the other way to put against a barrier for extra stability
I’ve got a new grip “Mostly Vertical Grip for Mlok” it’s exactly as the title states, mostly vertical it’s got a nice slight Bend which works great for those who mostly use grips as a handstop or similar(myself included) I kinda use it half regular grip half handstop and to make it nice and grippy even when your sweaty or wet, I created a mild texture on both sides that grips well for barehands and I’m sure even better with gloves. It also has some grooves cut into the front and back for added texture. As of right now it is MLOK only but am working on a pic version as we speak.

Old stuff: I still have the “banana grip” but it is now available for BOTH mlok and pic rails. The mlok is my choice just because it has such great flush fitment with most rails. This grip also is textured just more on the light end. It has a much more curved design which really feels great to pull the rifle into your shoulder. It is also NOT VERTICAL in anyway so you can throw this on a pistol and tell the ATF to kick rocks. The banana grip is also $17 for mlok OR picatinny

And lastly
Good ole 18650 storage tubes for b5 Sopmod stocks. These have come a long way from my first versions. My first versions worked well, but since acquiring some new hardware for my printer I’m able to print these much better which gives more room for variation in 18650 battery films. Some films are thicker than others and this varies brand to brand. When I first came out with these I had trouble fitting my USB built in streamlight 18650. It fit it was just a bit tight, now it slides right in with ease. These are water resistant and hold up well when stored in the stock. You can fit 2 standard 18650 batteries or whatever other goodies you like.
The storage tubes are $20 a piece or $30 for 2. The discount does not show up until you add 2 to your cart.

So, I finally plunged into the AR15 world and bought hexmags as extras.
They won't fall off when ejected, but worst is they refuse to feed any 5.56 ammo causing malfunction. All 4 failed terribly (only 1 fed once and shot and then nothing) I had to depend on the one original mag I got with my rifle (never had a problem). They dampened my first time owning an AR.
I am now shopping for new magazines.
My question is...Is the aluminum Duramag much better (just saw them on sale for $15)? Or do I have to go get a PMag?

Who it's for?

'm looking to add a new hunting rifle to my collection. Currently, I own a Tikka T3x Lite in 30-06. Now, I'm seeking a smaller caliber rifle for hunting small to medium-sized game, such as antelope and blacktail deer. I've decided that if I get a lever-action rifle, I would want it chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. But was on the fence between 6.5 and .243.
I'm torn between these two and would appreciate any guidance on which one might be better based on other hunters' experiences. I already have a few lever-action rifles and have always thought they would be fun to hunt with. Now that there are variants with longer barrels and better chambering options, I'm intrigued.
On the other hand, I am aware that bolt-action rifles often come with better options, parts especially triggers, and might be more suitable for my needs. I may be overcomplicating it but i love them lever actions.
