Bought the hype in early 2021 and went red candles for over 3 years. After WSB pretty much banned all the MOASS, dark pool and fake short-interest discussions, my smooth brain couldn't really get a hold on anything in the new threads, so I considered selling.
Then I considered to hold this bag to infinity to remind me, that WallStreet always wins in the end and it was ridicilous to actually believe, some random basement-dwellers could unite against the forces of evil.
The second reason was, even though all of this dream (power to the people, Hedgies r fckd, re-occupy WallStreet) seemed dead, there was no information around that DFV has ever sold. This was like the last glimpse of hope. But time went on.
Anyone else went back to DFV's GME YOLO updates with a nostalgic sadness?
Yeah you did.
I promised myself to never buy so called memestocks again. Two days ago, I bought another 5 shares.
Dont get me wrong: I'm living on welfare and have to sell some stuff to pay my rent this month (already too late) because of this 5 shares.
I'm in profit now, so I could easily sell all and walk away. Be one of these guys, that consider themselves oh so smart, daytrading the hype, making fast money.
You know what? Fuck that. I'm regarded enough to enter a sell limit of 1.000.000 €. so did I yesterday.
Maybe I'll lose everything again. Maybe MOASS will make everybody rich. Probably the government will bail out SHFs before that happens. Maybe the whole market is going to crash. Who knows?
All I know is this: We are writing history. We are actually here, right now. And it could become bigger than anyone of us. And I want to be a part of this, no matter my financial outcome. (Tendies still would be nice)
I close this with a quote from a movie, almost driving tears in my eyes. It's referencing the 60s hippie movement, but if you look closer: IT IS US! All of us, all of this. Let me just change a word or two:

2024.05.15 09:05 hannah0banana terrible tooth pain, need advice
this is kind of a long story, but I’m going to try to make it as quick and simple as I can. about 7 or so years ago, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed because they were growing in sideways. fast forward a few years to 2020 when I was seeing a new dentist. the last molar on the top left had been so pushed and twisted by the way my wisdom teeth grew in, that it was almost impossible to reach while brushing my teeth, and it wasn’t even really a functional tooth anymore. they recommended that I have it extracted and were going to keep an eye on the other back teeth. so I had it pulled, everything was fine. after that, I really neglected going to the dentist. I moved to a new state, and just never bothered finding one near me (terrible, I know). now, at the beginning of this year, I started having some tooth pain on the lower right side of my mouth. I finally went to see a dentist, and I was expecting the worse: both because I hadn’t been in so long, but also because dental problems runs in my family. it turns out I had 4 cavities on the right side (the back 2 molars on the top and bottom) and gingivitis. they did a deep cleaning and prescribed me toothpaste and mouthwash for the gingivitis. I decided to have the last tooth on the bottom right extracted, because that had the same problem where it was impossible to reach during brushing and wasn’t a functional tooth. the other cavities were going to be filled after the extraction. I originally made an appointment with an oral surgeon a couple weeks out, but pretty quickly, the pain became so unbearable that I couldn’t take it anymore and had to schedule an emergency appointment. it was weird, because it seems like the pain got so much worse after the dentist appointment. anyway, the tooth was pulled at the end of march. everything healed fine. I go back to the dentist soon after, and the dentist tells me I need a gingivectomy on the top few right teeth. I got that done, and it was fine. I didn’t really have any pain. about a month ago, I had the remaining 3 cavities filled. my mouth had been sore afterward, so I’ve been taking ibuprofen for it. well, the last week or so, the pain has gotten a lot worse. while looking in my mouth, I found a bone spur on the bottom right. the oral surgeon is having me come in this week because they want to check it out. the last few nights, it’s been hard to sleep because the pain has been excruciating. taking a combo of ibuprofen and tylenols helps, but obviously that’s not a long term solution. like I said, I am seeing the oral surgeon this week and I have an an appointment with the normal dentist just to follow up. I plan on bringing this up at my appointment, but i wanted to get some advice from others. I’m really nervous about the pain and the fact that it got significantly worse after going to the dentist. it makes me wish that I hadn’t gone at all, because the mild tooth pain i was experiencing before was at least bearable. sorry for the super long post, but i’m looking for any advice on what to do

Their works are typical german school literature, but I really liked Hesses „Der Steppenwolf“ and the Book „Demian“ which is quoted here. Kafka really resonated with me back then because of the motifs of his Books. There is even a german adjective called „kafkaesque“ (I think its also used in english?) describing „Situations and experiences of fear, unsecurities, alienation and being at the mercy of burocratic and anonymous Powers and absurdity, there being no way out and leaving a feeling of guilt and inner desperation“ which resonates really well with Kanekis Character and Story Arc especially in Part 1. |

Every kid growing up in Gympie in the early 90- 2000s knew about the Love Tunnel.
The love tunnel was located over the hill from the skatepark on the Riverbank. It was a massive storm water drain filled with spray paint and lore unbound throughout the generations; the glowing dick, whose name is the furthest in, the people who live inside, the bull shark that lived under the bridge just outside, all that fun stuff.
It collapsed in the late 2000’s in a flood and was eventually rebuilt, but it was all fancy, modern, safe and not the same. Back in the day it had decades of graffiti, crumbling cement, jagged metal pole framing bent and jutting out from the sides. You know, real character.
I remember when I was just a kid at the skatepark and I spotted a bunch of other kids at the metal grating of a drain. I joined them and gazed down a few metres to some older teenagers, they had trekked through this “love tunnel” under the massive hill all this way. Badass I thought. LEGENDARY.
I talked about it at school, about this mysterious “love tunnel”. It was in view from the road when I crossed the bridge everyday on my daily commutes from the backseat of mums car.
I would gaze down at the weir and see the top of the love tunnel, sliightly hidden from view by a hill. It fascinated me.
I learned all these mysterious tales; this person slept with this person there, someone took a dump at the entrance and some other girl stood in it and now she had a nickname, someone found needles, another found a homeless woman and she screamed at them. I was pumped for the next weekend. I was going to go see it for myself.
I saw too much.
Early Saturday morning I was riding my push bike through town and toward destination adventure! I started out at the skatepark, met up with a few of the regulars, a mix of 5-19y/o everyone on the half pipes and ramps had a code of comrady that I've never found in a public place anywhere else and you always had someone to hang with.
My usual crew slowly arrived through the morning, a bunch of other 10/11 year old misfits like myself and we headed on our first place on our journey, Hungry Jacks. Now we never technically stole, we found a loophole…
One or two would order a stunner meal, then we'd take privilege of the free refills and fill up the empty plastic 4L juice jugs that we all had prepped in our backpacks. Coke and red Fanta for days.
So we got our supplies and headed behind HJ, past the volleyball courts and headed down a bush track down to the river.
We walked along the banks to loop back down to where the bridge was, we passed a few teenagers fishing and a couple other groups of kids swinging from rope swings into the water or huddled in groups smoking things they shouldn't.
We eventually arrived at the weir and the stormwater drain that I had been so intrigued by. The Love Tunnel.
Climbing up the hill and seeing it up close when you were just a tiny human. It was like staring into the dark abyss of hell.
There was a small stream of water flowing out of the big grey cylinder and it was covered in multicolored quotes and crude pictures that was very eye opening at the time.
Our voices echoed as one by one we climbed up the grassy, eroding clay edging that was the makeshift path into the mouth that probably changed each time it rained. Each of us had pulled out clumps of grass that we thought were handholds. If you fell, you fell down an embankment of slippery jagged rocks poking out from the fast flowing river.
So were inside and began to walk a couple of metres in then around us the light abruptly disappeared into complete darkness. And I remember the way the sounds traveled you could feel it through your chest it was mesmerizing.
I remember bravely stepping into the darkness and taking five or six steps in. That thick darkness was something else, I ran myself back to that entrance and light, heart pounding from the adrenaline.
This turned into a game of who could go in the furthest. This stopped when one of the boys screamed out from the darkness in pain.
He was back in the light teary eyed a few moments later wet on one side and feigning a laugh. He'd slipped down and cut open his knee, it was hilarious. We teased him saying he was going to get gangrene and leprosy and a myriad of other ailments we had no idea actually was.
We decided to bail, we forgot torches, we didn't plan that part out too well, and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon being little menaces.
We met the next day with a game plan, we had an array of various sized torches, from small ones that didn't do anything, one of those giant rectangle ones that was our main light source, a couple of handheld ones, one which flickered and the other stopped working before we even got into the tunnel.
We got in safely and tested out our torches and began walking into the unknown. It was pretty much the same as before, but there were strange things, old makeshift bongs, shopping bags, random shoes, a shopping trolley, a mattress that was all moldy and rotted. I still to this day do not understand how people managed to get that shit in there.
We passed a section where someone had thrown a can of red paint all over the walls, the amount of those ‘S’ symbols was more terrifying.
We saw light up ahead, we were passing our first grate. It was kind of daunting looking up towards it. Even getting on each other's shoulders we couldn't reach. There was an array of broken beer bottles and glass was everywhere, under the grate was a dead snake amongst some debris.
We had a debate whether to go further, we ended up going on at least until the next grate, we came to a fork, one seemed like a smaller offshoot so we stuck to the bigger side.
There were more offshoots and we came to a part where the big pipes split off into three under another grate. We gazed up hoping to get an identifier of our location, but all we could see was blue. We called out to see if we could get anyone's attention.
“Cooooweeee” we shouted in unison, the sound echoing in all directions.
We were laughing and having a grand time until something shouted back, something that still shakes me to my core to this day.
Some yobbo crackhead chick in her fifties with this ratty pink tank top that was all stretched half showing her saggy titties. “What the fuck you think you little cunts doing down here.” This chick screeched at us through her few teeth or something along the lines of that. She just exploded at us with a barrage of threats.
We were shocked silenced moving together to make one mass.
One of the boys screamed when a skinny guy emerged from the darkness. He was covered in tattoos with scraggly hair and a beard, he was all crazy eyed and pantless.
Someone yelled out to run and it was all the motivation we needed.
We could hear them screaming and the guy ran after us, we heard glass shattering behind us, they must have thrown a bottle. We were legging it.
We got split up in our running, I fell down, tripping over some rubbish, one mate stayed back to help me, this left us without a torch. We came across the same kid who slipped over yesterday, he had slipped down again cutting open his other knee. He wore those with badges of honor at school, but he was blubbering like a baby at this point.
He had the flickering torch and it disoriented us more than helped, as it turned on and off every time he took a step. I thought we were lost but we found the other grate, then eventually the entrance.
The others were already climbed down, we were soon by their side panting in the grass and wiping away our tears so the others couldn't see.
We ran back over to the skatepark and immediately told every kid we saw.
That was the wildest shit we had ever experienced. Sure we’d seen crazy up on the street but to have it jump out at you from the shadows in a storm water drain was next level.
By that night one of the other boys had spilled to his parents about our escapades and a couple of other mums got phone calls, three got in trouble, two of us didn't, including me.
I never stepped foot back in that tunnel, I swam at the weir more times than I could count afterwards though and never encountered anyone else too sketchy.
I think only a year or two later I saw on the news people dying in storm water drains somewhere else in Aus, we never realized how dangerous they could be back then. Lol.
Every party or get together afterwards it was a crowd favorite to bring up. It was a good conversation starter and joined the tales amongst my friends of the weird shit that happens in ‘Helltown’.
Growing up and looking back they were probably just homeless drug addicts freaked out from a bunch of children's voices yelling out coooweee from the underground where they thought they were alone. That would have scared the shit outta me if I was them.

Hopefully I'm in the right place, I don't post much. This may sound strange and it's extremely hard to explain, so please forgive any rambling. I'm 41, my whole life I've been a big history lover. I'm obsessed with the Victorian time period. I don't research many people, just those I find interesting. This is where my question comes in. I'm insanely drawn to specific people and places....like to the point of it almost being an obsession, but this feels different, like I know that place and these people. I haven't even physically been there, but if I could afford it, I'd live there in a heartbeat. I'd drop everything and go. Was I possibly this person in a past life, or maybe knew them? I know a lot about most of them, but a few.... I just feel a certain way towards them for absolutely no reason. I kind of feel like I'm going crazy because I can't know enough about this woman. I just got a book that you can tell was as throughly researched as it could possibly be, and I feel like I don't wanna know about the people she literally quoted as ruining her life, I only wanted to research people who I find she got along with after starting this book. How can you tell if it's an unhealthy obsession, or is it something else? I apologize for the long post!

The company is small and all of the employees are from outside the US despite the company being located in Chicago. They all have over 500 connections on LinkedIn. The website looks ok but only has two pages, one for the home page and one for recruiting. The big red flag is the quotes from people they’ve supposedly worked with from Amazon, CNN, and other huge corporations.
I was initially thrown off because I had applied to an internship with them. They suddenly sent me a message on LinkedIn that I got chosen for an interview. I am so sorry for the length, thank you so much if you read this.
Last time I gave this info:
I'm female, 21, 5'7" and weight around 255. If you scroll through my post history you'll see last year I was dealing with extreme period irregularity. I was never diagnosed with anything like PCOS but did go on a birth control pill which helped to regulate my cycle. I have been on that since November, I have also been on a Wellbutrin/Sertraline combo since August. That and therapy really has my anxiety and depression at wya more manageable levels. The problems I'm about to talk about started in January.
I have started having more digestive type issues since January. I've had almost constant acid reflux for over a year. I tried one of those two week courses of medicine you can find on the shelf to help but it didn't at all. I turned 21 in June, I've tried maybe 6 drinks in that time frame (it's March now) and I hate the taste and it makes me feel yuck and nauseous even after just 1 so I don't drink.
In the past month I have been having times where I wake up 5-6 hours after eating with intense mid to upper stomach and back pain it was like a band of pain that wrapped around my body. It's like a 8/10 on the pain scale. I thought it was heartburn or indigestion so I would try a Pepto, warm shower, nothing would help. I would be up for hours in tears. Before it somewhat subside and I would feel a little better. The last one happened on 3/12 into 3/13. I thought this could be due to large meals, or timing of dinner. I haven't been able to see a pattern though yet.
I feel nauseous way more than I ever used to, after eating or while in the car. Also in the past couple of weeks my bathroom activities have been a lot more different. It used to be, I would have a regular poop once a day, of the firm but not too firm consistency you would expect and normal color unless I ate like something green or blue. Now, I feel like every time I sit on the toilet now (3-5 times a day at least) I poop. It's not completely runny but it's not firm in the slightest. It's also had the strangest, weirdest odor. I have no idea what to explain it like but it's different and worse than normal. It's also become a lot darker. I don't know if it's really a black, I can't really tell but it's definitely a super dark brown at the least and I don't know if it's tarry, it's definitely kind of shiny, I really don't know how to explain it. I have just felt off lately. I haven't eaten anything super fiber containing, the last time I had Pepto was on the 10th. Those were some things I felt important to include as I know pepto could cause black stool.
Another thing, possibly important to know is just food aversion. Lately, food just doesn't taste the same, things don't sound good, and I'm not getting hunger cues like I used to. I often go most of the day without ever feeling hungry, this usually results in me eating 1 meal for dinner and maybe a snack earlier in the day? And my stomach just randomly mildly aches.
I also realized it's probably important to mention the exhaustion. Since January it has been so bad. I know it's normal to be tired expecially as a busy college student but I've missed multiple classes because I overslept or was too tired. And I've never done that before. I'm usually asleep between 10-11pm on the weekdays and around 12am on the weekends. On weekdays I wake up between 7 and 8am and weekends probably 8 and 9am. It's hard to not use electronics before sleep especially with homework and such. But it's been so bad. I just get so exhausted I don't know how to explain it. But I just feel heavy and I can't get out of bed because I'm so tired.I feel like it all probably relates to my weight. It's something I've struggled with and have tried to work on it. I haven't changed my diet in terms of types of food since I was at 200lbs in high school and I've focused on portions and more activity. I guess it could be stress too? But I don't feel like I've been stressed any differently lately?
Here is where I’m at currently: I went to my pcp who check my blood counts, lipase, and did a CMP. A year ago I had elevated ALT/AST levels (diagnosed with fatty liver) and those were back down to well within normal range. Nothing came out of these tests everything was normal. They also checked for H. Pylori and that was negative. So to rule out gallbladder I had a right upper quadrant ultrasound today. I did the fasting for 8 hours before and everything. The ultrasound results were just fatty liver. There was no evidence of gallstones or gallbladder thickening.
The final thing to add before I explain what was currently going on is I was put on 40 mg of pantoprazole to take once in the morning at least 30-60 minutes before first meal. This was because I tried Prilosec in August and that didn’t help, nothing has helped. I’ve been on it for a week and honestly I thought I noticed a difference, definitely a less constant feeling of acid reflux. Something that has been constant for around a year.
After my ultrasound I came home around 5:30pm and had a small amount of fish and fries. I did not eat to full, took time to eat, etc. went about my day. Around 8:30pm I felt a bit hungry so I had some chips and cheese, it wasn’t much but i felt satisfied and good. Like 20 minutes after my stomach started to hurt like it had been, I was confused because I felt confident the cause was in part behind laying down only a few hours after eating but I hadn’t laid down. It’s almost 3am and I am hurting bad. It definitely feels a bit like heartburn but it’s also just a gripping twisting pain right at my ribs from belly button to breast and around my back. I’m just lost and nervous and not sure what next steps will be.

Now, I feel like every time I sit on the toilet now (3-5 times a day at least) I poop. It's not completely runny but it's not firm in the slightest. It's also had the strangest, weirdest odor. I have no idea what to explain it like but it's different and worse than normal. It's also become a lot darker. I don't know if it's really a black, I can't really tell but it's definitely a super dark brown at the least and I don't know if it's tarry, it's definitely kind of shiny, I really don't know how to explain it. I have just felt off lately. I haven't eaten anything super fiber containing, the last time I had Pepto was on the 10th. Those were some things I felt important to include as I know pepto could cause black stool.
Another thing, possibly important to know is just food aversion. Lately, food just doesn't taste the same, things don't sound good, and I'm not getting hunger cues like I used to. I often go most of the day without ever feeling hungry, this usually results in me eating 1 meal for dinner and maybe a snack earlier in the day? And my stomach just randomly mildly aches.
I also realized it's probably important to mention the exhaustion. Since January it has been so bad. I know it's normal to be tired expecially as a busy college student but I've missed multiple classes because I overslept or was too tired. And I've never done that before. I'm usually asleep between 10-11pm on the weekdays and around 12am on the weekends. On weekdays I wake up between 7 and 8am and weekends probably 8 and 9am. It's hard to not use electronics before sleep especially with homework and such. But it's been so bad. I just get so exhausted I don't know how to explain it. But I just feel heavy and I can't get out of bed because I'm so tired.I feel like it all probably relates to my weight. It's something I've struggled with and have tried to work on it. I haven't changed my diet in terms of types of food since I was at 200lbs in high school and I've focused on portions and more activity. I guess it could be stress too? But I don't feel like I've been stressed any differently lately?
Here is where I’m at currently: I went to my pcp who check my blood counts, lipase, and did a CMP. A year ago I had elevated ALT/AST levels (diagnosed with fatty liver) and those were back down to well within normal range. Nothing came out of these tests everything was normal. They also checked for H. Pylori and that was negative. So to rule out gallbladder I had a right upper quadrant ultrasound today. I did the fasting for 8 hours before and everything. The ultrasound results were just fatty liver. There was no evidence of gallstones or gallbladder thickening.
The final thing to add before I explain what was currently going on is I was put on 40 mg of pantoprazole to take once in the morning at least 30-60 minutes before first meal. This was because I tried Prilosec in August and that didn’t help, nothing has helped. I’ve been on it for a week and honestly I thought I noticed a difference, definitely a less constant feeling of acid reflux. Something that has been constant for around a year.
After my ultrasound I came home around 5:30pm and had a small amount of fish and fries. I did not eat to full, took time to eat, etc. went about my day. Around 8:30pm I felt a bit hungry so I had some chips and cheese, it wasn’t much but i felt satisfied and good. Like 20 minutes after my stomach started to hurt like it had been, I was confused because I felt confident the cause was in part behind laying down only a few hours after eating but I hadn’t laid down. It’s almost 3am and I am hurting bad. It definitely feels a bit like heartburn but it’s also just a gripping twisting pain right at my ribs from belly button to breast and around my back. I’m just lost and nervous and not sure what next steps will be.

After sixty-seven sessions of Curse of Strahd (read all about it here), it was time for a change. So into the wild we went...
My group is nearing the end of Hither, and along the way I've written summaries of each session ("What Just Happened?"), along with interesting/funny quotes from PCs/NPCs ("Certain Things Were Said"), and a list of new characters introduced that session ("Dramatis Personae").
My intention is to write the summaries for each of the five parts of the campaign in a different format. For the Witchlight Carnival, each summary was presented in verse (my own, no machine learning shortcuts!), using the the metre and rhyming structure of various Lewis Carrol poems.
I'd like to share my summaries/poems with you all here, for posterity, and in the hope you'll find them entertaining.
For reference, the players are:
’Twas twilight when the carnival Did open wide two golden gates, And those with tickets did arrive, Seeking things they had misplaced.
One harengon of curious size, A kobold with a slithy gait, An owlet who possessed two eyes As wide as Annam’s dinner plates.

The Owlin and the Kobold Were walking close at hand, They smiled like anything to see The gates of Pixie Land. "If we could only stay a while,” They said, "it would be grand!"
The Satyr sighed so sulkily, Because he thought that Plum Had got no business to be there When all was said and done. (“It's rude of him," the Kobold said, "To try and spoil our fun!")
"Oi, Satyr," said the pixie king, "You've had a pleasant run! Should you be getting back to work?” But answer came there none And this was scarcely odd, because He had real beef with Plum.
Now Arix made a hamster friend Who offered up some clues. The others tried the riding-pug: A pleasant thing to do! (“The pug is fine," the Rabbit said, "But he’s no Shellymoo.”)
"How nice of you to come!” said Plum, "You all are oh-so kind!" Puddlemud said nothing as His teeth began to grind. The Owlin and the Kobold cheered: “That was our FAVORITE ride!”
“A wooden crown," fair Jexim said, Is what we need to come Our way along with golden paint For some un-princely sum.” The others stared, confused, and said: “Now where did YOU come from?”
‘Twas then the party dared approach The famous Mystery Mine Where psychedelic spectacles Broke the Satyr’s mind. (“I really wish,” Zephixo sighed, “You wouldn’t ride while high”).
Next Dirla pulled all kind of things Out of his wagon/portal: Bottles, bunnies, candlesticks, A shining blade of vorpal (Incidentally, there’s a word That kind of rhymes with purple).
“If you put your mind to it And searched for long enough, Do you suppose," the party said, "That you could find our stuff?" "I doubt it," said dear Dirlagraun, And gave a bitter huff.
Then he gave the Harengon The greatest gift by far: A copy of “Gnome On The Run” And bid them au revoir (Morgie would have laughed at that While struggling with slash “R”).
“I do believe,” the Satyr said, “That something is not right, And think we ought to pay a call To Messers Witch and Light.” “I think we ought,” the Owlin said “To first stop for a bite.”
But in their way old Thaco stood, A clown grown grim and surly: “Rabbit! Owlin! Pixie! Skink! You aren’t allowed to be-“ The Fairy interrupted him: “Wait, WHAT did you call me?”
Poor Thaco cried: “Things move too fast! And have since my debut In R-1: To the Aid of Falx From Nineteen Eighty Two! And if you’d seen what I have seen Then you’d smoke bubbles, too!”
Finally he stepped aside, At last the way was clear. The Satyr ambled stealthily With open eyes and ears And pressed them to a wagon large To see what he could hear.
"The time has come," Witch and Light said, "To talk of things galore Of prizes—plans—and kenku pests— and ever so much more— But first we’d better ask inside Those spying at our door!”

"Time's an illusion, free will a delusion!" Sylenos' mentor decreed, "Get a contusion battling occlusions, Or relax and have some of this…wait, what was I saying?"
Sylenos proclaimed: "A genius flawed!" "A man/dragon ahead of his time." Skerrek looked at his claws; Holafina at paws, And the other two just rolled their eyes
"A centuar I'm not! I just made a bad trade The "Cloppinton's" just serendipitous, Now lend me your aid and you'll maybe persuade These horsies to drop some significance."
Then they took to the skies on a dragonfly ride (Holafina and Skerrek abreast), When you're this high there's just nowhere to hide (And to which Sylenos attests)
Now Skerrek honed on a runaway gnome Who was fleeing the carnage with glee, Holafina struck home and that's it for this poem For the gnome was the kenku, you see.

I just realized it’s actually been OVER a year since I’ve been diagnosed, for some reason I thought it was May last year but it was March.
It feels weird to look back on. I remember my first thought when the psychiatrist told me being “I wonder how clear the distinction between type one and two is?” for some reason lol, and then followed by “Well I guess this makes sense.”
I also felt like it was going to ruin my life because it cost me my job when I was trying to get accommodations. (and I should’ve gotten the employer to put the reason in writing!) And sometimes still feels like it’s ruining my life! But I like to think I’m getting a little better. I’m starting a new job tomorrow too!
This sub has been immensely helpful even though I haven’t posted very much. Sometimes when people say they’ve gone through the same thing so I’m not alone, I still feel alone, but just having this place is the exception to that and I like to read through some posts when I feel like I’m alone and it really does help me. So thank you all for being brave enough to share.

This sub has been immensely helpful even though I haven’t posted very much. Sometimes when people say they’ve gone through the same thing so I’m not alone, I still feel alone, but just having this place is the exception to that and I like to read through some posts when I feel like I’m alone and it really does help me. I'm looking into cat-proofing my home and was shocked at the first quote I got from an invisible grille installer ($3000+) (I live in a small flat but there are a lot of windows). Would love input from anyone who has had to do it.
I don't have window grates so I think the choices are: -invisible grille (maybe expensive because frames have to be installed) -a big net that attaches to hooks drilled into the sides of the windows (probably cheapest but least attractive looking and looks troublesome to unhook when you are opening/closing your windows) -retractable mesh (almost like a sliding door?)
When my kids were a lot younger, I actually got a lock installed in one of the window latches because the window was low down, but I can't remember anymore how much that costs. Would it actually be cheaper to just lock up some of my windows and cat proof the others?
Any and all advice welcome!

25 year old straight male. This is something that really only hit me a couple days ago. I was hanging out with a couple guys in my friend group discussing how to help two of our other friends who really struggle with dating and have never been able to get into a long term relationship despite their "best" efforts for years. (Best in quotes because as much as we try there are definitely things they won't take constructive criticism on).
I was a late bloomer and honestly don't really put myself out there very much, but I have been in one long term relationship of 2+ years as well as a couple shorter situationships, and have had about a dozen sexual partners in total. I am not currently in a relationship, nor do I want to be right now. I mention this all because people do value my input and assume I know what I am talking about to some extent when it comes to girls.
But the reality of it is that I don't. One of my friends mentioned I would be no better off than our two other buddies we were discussing if I looked like them, and honestly I could do nothing but agree.
I have only "pursued" two girls in my entire life, and each occasion led to a short term relationship that I knew wouldn't lead anywhere and was totally ok with. (Pursued in quotes since it was simple as asking each one out once when we barely knew each other). Most of the girls I have gone out with have initiated it. Probably the majority of my hookups have been scenarios where a friend introduces their friend who is into me or some girl coming up to me when I'm just standing at the bar. (I do reject the vast majority of girls who approach me).
But this also means I have no idea how to approach girls, especially those who I fear may reject me. I don't think I've ever had a "crush" on a girl and I've never put any effort into going after someone. As I look to date seriously again down the line, I don't even know how to go after someone I am actually interested in. I am undergoing this shift in mentality where I feel like I have options (something relatively new to me) but at the same time I have this feeling that I won't even know how to start if someone I am truly interested in happens to fall in front of me. Like I won't even be able to get into position to fumble. I also don't really know how to get girls to actually like me, if that makes sense.
This worry is starting to grow a bit in my mind, as is my inability to help out my friends / family (younger brother) who struggle. It feels bad not being able to give much useful advice to someone in my brother's position, for example. In a lot of ways I was (and still am) the same shy, quiet, reserved guy he is, but I just got lucky.

Last month, he went on a trip outside the country and he said he’ll see me when he comes back this May. It’s already mid May and i havent seen him post anything even stories. I remember when he went on a quick trip and he posted pics and also got to show it to me. He never texted me again, his last text was that he’ll see me when he gets back. We’re actually both not good texters, we only text each other few days before we meet, there are also random how are yous but it’s not too often. We’re both in our 30s and very busy so I thought that’s cool as long as we consistently see each other. He is also not active in socials but last month he was liking my stories

“So far, Dooey’s solutions appear to suggest text messaging and Telehealth referrals for mental health calls and that’s woefully inadequate when someone could be about to harm themselves or others.
“Labour worked hard towards integrating mental health treatment and support to our public health system. National should be committing to continuing the Access and Choice programme which has delivered over one million support sessions to the public, rather than cutting front line services.
“Just last week we saw a proposed cut to ACC’s Prevention of Sexual Violence programme. Minister Doocey has also shown no concern that the Family and Sexual Violence work of the previous government is being diminished — yet the evidence shows very strong links between preventing family harm and preventing suicide, especially for women.

Laser sentry: Doesn’t stop firing until no enemies are in sight or overheats, still fires while turning. Does about the same damage as a laser cannon.
Retardant underlayer: medium/heavy Armor passive that either confers immunity to being lit on fire or a massive (75-90%) reduction to all fire damage. (I want to march through my own trail of hellfire and tramp through fire tornadoes to deliver pure, gas-lit democracy)
Tesla spike (grenade): If it hits an enemy, it sticks and stuns dealing direct damage to the enemy over time for 10s and chaining to 4 nearby (5 total) targets every 2s (Helldiver, bot, or bug, no matter). If it hits the ground, it sticks and arcs to 4 total targets every 2.5 seconds for 10 seconds. Timer starts on impact and slows like an arc thrower. these numbers are in no way necessary, but I want the grenades to be more effective if you hit an enemy head on, like a constant taser for the time limit. (Only carry 2 or 3 by default if they are extremely powerful)
Remote cluster mines: Deploys a field of mines with a MUCH bigger area and slightly denser spread. Primes upon landing. The mines explode when you re-enter the stratagem code, at which point the cooldown starts. Detonation has small AOE, but every mine in the field goes off at once with an explosion similar to an eagle rocket pod or default airstrike missile. (I want a more brutal preemptive wave clear option, would help on Evacuate High-Value Asset missions)
What do you guys think? obviously Arrowhead won't implement any of these, but I like coming up with concepts, imagining if I was a dev or designer.
