I already have a few crack theories under my belt when it comes to harbingers but Capitano is probably the most difficult genshin character to theorise on. I've seen some good theories here so unlike Signora's resurrection and Arlecchino's exact origins every Capitano theory is crack.
The evidence for this theory is extremely sparse, but it's pretty much:
-the three nails, his symbol, is related to Jesus
-he is strangely chosen one-coded despite being an antagonist
-strength to seemingly out scale multiple gods
The theory isn't all too long, it's bordering on plausible fan fiction but unless he's a dragon or the bloodstained knight I think that he was blessed by Celestia and born hundreds of years ago to eliminate the abyss and any other enemy to the divine agenda. Thing is, he was given free will and simply is a compassionate and fair person, it would only make sense for someone like him to abandon Celestia and seek out an archon who wants to eliminate the looming threat that Celestia is. He can't be eliminated by the archons since he's far too powerful and anyone who could kill him doesn't want to or is uninformed, letting him side with the person who he thinks is worthy of his near infinite strength.

Who am I?
As stated in my profile's description, I am u/syko-san. Yes, the name is a bit cringe, but I made the account when I was an edgy 13 year old. Let's be real, a lot of us were pretty cringe in middle school. Anyway, I am a 19 year old university student and am currently working on getting my bachelor's degree. I have thought about getting a master's degree afterwards, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there. I do, in fact, suffer from mental health issues, but they are unrelated to Reddit and are mostly under control. I am being treated appropriately and, while I can't say I am quite as functional as the average person, I survive relatively okay thanks to the treatments and the help of people around me.The Origins of Pixel Counter Bot
Let's start at the beginning. I knew about countablepixels long before the creation of the bot. It would come up in my feed and I'd also link it to posts with egregiously low resolution. One day, I noticed people actually counting the pixels in the comments and a thought occurred to me. "What if I automated it?" It seemed very doable at the time, as I've messed around with the Reddit bot API in the past for much smaller things, so I spent an hour or two haphazardly throwing the bot together, using a lot of old code I had stashed away from that past experience. I honestly expected people to get annoyed with the bot and for it to get banned within a few days of it going online for the first time. Imagine my surprise when I got contacted by one of the moderators, thanking me for my contribution to the subreddit's growth and giving me moderator status myself. This little dumb project that I made on a whim was getting a lot more love than I was expecting.Anyway, so the bot continued to get more attention and one night, I woke up at like 1am and checked my phone to see how the account was doing. I saw a reply to one of its comments saying "Fuck you" so I had the bright idea of logging into the bot account and replying with "Shut the fuck up." to see if people would find it funny. It got a lot of attention, so my aggressive responses to things started becoming a theme of the account.
How I genuinely feel about the harassment
As with most bots on Reddit for some ungodly reason, the account got a lot of sexual comments and DMs. This made me very uncomfortable at first, and I decided to reply to them with my trademark exaggerated levels of aggression. After a while, I kind of got used to such comments and started ignoring them a bit. They don't bother me nearly as much anymore, and while I do find them pretty cringe, I'm not losing my sanity over them. Trust me, I've been through much worse.The "war" with AnarchyChess
I've known about AnarchyChess for a long time as well. It's also a subreddit that would frequently appear in my feed. I was an avid chess player a very long time ago, so I understood most of the humor just fine. That said, please do not actually challenge me to a game of chess, I'm nowhere near as good as I used to be and will probably lose.Anyway, a bot I knew about sent me a DM with a very descriptive marriage proposal. At the time, I was mostly done giving these comments and messages any attention because there were too many for me to reply to them all, but this one caught my attention. I decided to reply to it and keep an eye on things, then reply to some of u/MartinFromChessCom's comments with my trademark exaggerated aggression. It went okay at first, but things began escalating from there. Martin's creator messaged me on my main account making sure everything was okay, and I explained to him that it was mostly just theatrics, and I thought a "war" between subreddits could actually be pretty fun as long as nobody took it too seriously. He posted a screenshot from our conversation a little while ago, so feel free to take a look. I will also say, please do not send a any hate or harassment his way. I am on good terms with Martin and there is zero genuine beef between us. It was all just to put on a bit of a show.
Regarding my "ban" from AnarchyChess, I was never actually banned from the subreddit. I added a filter in the bot's code to make it ignore any posts from that subreddit because my presence there seems to have only caused trouble, and I do not want to cause any headaches for the moderators there. Additionally, please do not send any harassment towards the moderators of AnarchyChess. They have not wronged me in any way and have actually made statements trying to protect me.

I am an undergrad, and I wrote a thesis on machine learning / statistics that I would like to get published at some point (either ML conference or statistics journal, I haven't looked into it yet). The sections I have are decently polished already and I have a (currently private) github repo to go with it linked in the thesis.
Before I try to publish I intend to add a proof to one of the sections and add more results to the results section, which I will do in a few months. Should I submit what I have to arxiv and make my code public, then add the other sections later as newer versions? Or is it common practice in stats/comp-sci to only publish in arxiv when its ready to be published?

Hi all! Celebration post here as Tuesday saw me earning my PMP first try with an AT/AT/AT score!
I want to thank this subreddit as I wouldn't have pursued it without all the great advice here; after a layoff a few months back I wanted to get it for better competitiveness in the market, and this sub made it so much easier.
I took mine in person after a few too many online horror stories of cancelled exams, but I also live in a major metro area where there are multiple in easy access range.
Like most here, I used Andrew Ramdayal's course on Udemy for my 35 hours; it also helped a ton with both the mindset & understanding how to do the application - even though I had to do the app twice, as my first wasn't formatted the way they like. Then I promptly got audited, but I was ready for the possibility and that only delayed me a day~!
Besides Andrew R, I found a few free practice tests through here, and then used the one in Andrew's course the day before my exam as my 'final' practice test. Combined with thoroughly reviewing what I missed both the night before & during the exam commute, I felt pretty good going in - and at the end of section 1 when I saw I'd flagged way less for review than I thought, I started feeling increasingly confident.
In the end I finished with a whole hour to spare, and once I saw the provisional pass promptly celebrated with delicious junk food.
Thank you to everyone here for all the help!
To future hopefuls - 1) Andrew R's Udemy course for sure; try using private browsing to get a discount code to make it even more affordable 2) Pop in here every day or two and try to answer the questions people ask for clarification on without seeing the correct answer first - just reading a coupleo f those posts most days helped reinforce & get me thinking in the mindset better 3) Practice exams are your best friend; had I not been trying to save as much money as possible I'd 100% have gotten PMI study hall; just reviewing what you got wrong and why every time will go a huge way to improving.
And you can do it! Don't give up!

I’ve been streaming a couple months now from my decade old Mac and all of the extra demands on the system recently has caused it to decline fast. I had to cancel a stream today because of how badly it’s running these days so I need to get something new built quickly to avoid having to cancel too many more. I’ve never been super into PC gaming because things rarely run well (if at all) on Mac but I’d like something that’s powerful enough to change that! Hey all, I saw Realth's post earlier this week and decided I wanted to join in on the fun as well.
For those of you who don't know me, I'm a current T500 Support with around 2 years of both individual and team coaching experience under my belt.
I will review any code submitted to my discord (#speed-vod-submissions) live on stream, for free, guaranteed. You don't even have to be in stream (although I would prefer if you were!)
The Catch: These will be Speed Vods. (Wrecked, what's a Speed Vod?) A Speed Vod is a type of review where I figure out what your single biggest error is, tell you how to fix it, and then move on to the next review. The first ever Speed Vod stream is planned for Friday, May 25th, starting at 1pm CST. This will be a weekly series on my twitch, assuming people like it.
If you don't want a Speed Vod, I also do complete vod reviews almost every Sunday from 1-4 pm CST, and while those are also free, you will need 1,000 channel points to participate.

When I was a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University, I took this course called Intro to Deep Learning. Don't let the name of this course fool you; it was absolutely one of the hardest and most interesting classes I've taken in my entire life. In that class, I fully learned what "AI" actually means. I learned how to create state-of-the-art AI algorithms – including training them from scratch using AWS EC2 clusters.
But, I loved it. At this time, I was also a trader. I had aspirations of creating AI-Powered bots that would execute trades for me.
And I had heard of "reinforcement learning" before.. I took an online course at the University of Alberta and received a certificate. But I hadn't worked with "Deep Reinforcement Learning" – combining our most powerful AI algorithm (deep learning) with reinforcement learning
So, when my Intro to Deep Learning class had a final project in which I could create whatever I wanted, I decided to make a Deep Reinforcement Learning Trading Bot.
However, despite the complexity of the models we built, none of the models were able to develop a trading strategy on SPY that outperformed Buy and Hold.
I'll admit the code is very ugly (we were scramming to find something we could write in our paper and didn't focus on code quality). But if people here are interested in AI beyond Large Language Models, I think this would be an interesting read.

Background: What is Deep Reinforcement Learning
Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) involves a series of structured steps that enable a computer program, or agent, to learn optimal actions within a given environment through a process of trial and error. Here’s a concise breakdown:- Initialize: Start with an agent that has no knowledge of the environment, which could be anything from a game interface to financial markets.
- Observe: The agent observes the current state of the environment, such as stock prices or a game screen.
- Decide: Using its current policy, which initially might be random, the agent selects an action to perform.
- Act and Transition: The agent performs the action, causing the environment to change and generate a new state, along with a reward (positive or negative).
- Receive Reward: Rewards inform the agent about the effectiveness of its action in achieving its goals.
- Learn: The agent updates its policy using the experience (initial state, action, reward, new state), typically employing algorithms like Q-learning or policy gradients to refine decision-making towards actions that yield higher returns.
- Iterate: This cycle repeats, with the agent continually refining its policy to maximize cumulative rewards.
How I applied it to the stock market
My team implemented a series of algorithms that modeled financial markets as a deep reinforcement learning problem. While I won't be super technical in this post, you can read exactly what we did here. Some of the interesting experiments we tried included using convolutional neural networks to generate graphs, and use the images as features for the model.However, despite the complexity of the models we built, none of the models were able to develop a trading strategy on SPY that outperformed Buy and Hold.
