2024.05.16 19:16 zangetSU05 Swiss Visa approved from India 15 days tourist

Timeline: 8th May- appointment (last slot of the day) 9th May - application transferred from Bangalore to Delhi 10th May - application reached Embassy in Delhi 11th and 12th weekend 14th May - end of the day received information that visas have been dispatched (late evening) 16th May - received the passports with visa
Note: - our first Schengen on a new (renewed) passports - not a very strong past history of international travel but we followed strict adherence to the documents listed in the application - we had asked for a single entry visa as we had learned that single entry visa is a better option for first Schengen but we got a multiple entry - VFS was smooth for the most part. If you’re applying as a family (husband wife in our case with our passports carrying this info), we didn’t need to attach each other’s documents. We had carried the prints but the VFS person removed it saying that it’s not needed for family. While our applications were different they were placed in the same folder and treated as one. - in case you want separate updates, make sure to sign two forms at the counter. We had opted for the courier and SMS for the both of us and in the form we had mentioned both of our numbers and email IDs but only the primary applicant was getting notified (though it was for both). Just thought of highlighting it here. - If your documents are sorted, you can skip the premium service. The wait time was hardly anything - VFS had increased the SMS service and courier price so while we had paid for them during the appointment booking, we had to pay more at the counter. - also it worked for some people but for us neither the application number nor the passport number worked as a reference to check on BlueDart’s website so eventually we had to call VFS to share the AWB no which they very kindly did
I would highly recommend keeping your itinerary simple and concise and support that with your accommodation. When we were preparing the itinerary, we worked towards making it the final draft. Most people I spoke with said that it’s common to cancel everything once you get the visa and replan the itinerary but we neither had the patience nor the willingness to run into any issues, considering the scenarios at the border authority. And I can’t say for sure but keeping it to just one country also helped in the quick response.
Open for questions (except cover letter format as that has been shared many times in this group and I also used the same)
Happy travelling!

2024.05.16 19:14 Original-One-6954 Does this sound like ADD or anxiety/avoidance?

I do have a diagnosis of ADD, Auditory processing disorder, & seasonal depression. I am currently on Wellbutrin and Adderall.. Apologies in advance for spilling all of my concerns out and making this post so long..
I get very over stimulated by people and require a lot of alone time. If I can go to work and come right home, lay in bed and be left mostly alone, I am okay for the most part. This is a life I can manage. Any disruptions to my routine or last minute plans that I didn’t have time to mentally prepare for are usually stressful and draining. I need to know who is going to be there, how many people, how long will I be there, what do I wear, do I bring anything, is my phone charged, etc. etc. I always like to drive independently so that I can leave whenever I want.
Outside of my family, all of my friends & boyfriend are people I met in college when I was a bit more social.. I have not met and maintained any new friendships in the 5 years since graduation. I usually avoid being around people I am not completely comfortable with and when I do interact with acquaintances I tend to become kind of monotone and my sense of humor disappears but I can’t help it.
I hate confrontation to the point that I will shut down and distance myself from the person entirely. I will think about a confrontation endlessly for days afterward. I do get defensive in the moment it’s happening but I do try to avoid confrontation as a whole. I am always going out of my way not to inconvenience people to the point it’s caused some problems. I definitely go out of my way not to be noticed by strangers. Avoiding confrontation has served me well in certain situations because I have filtered through the people in my life and only kept the genuinely good ones and have a solid friend group. I also am very emotionally aware because I am constantly observing how my behavior makes others feel. However there are circumstances where I cannot avoid it. I am good at maintaining professional and diffusing angry customers at work but I do stress about it and maybe even cry later on.. If I have to talk to my boss one on one, even just to ask her if I can leave 15 minutes early, my heart starts racing, my mouth gets so dry and I feel like I can’t formulate sentences properly. My adrenaline causes my memory of the interaction to be fuzzy. The thought of having to make it through multiple interviews has prevented me from advancing in my career. I also get this way with my doctors too but I don’t know why..
Going back to how I need a schedule to maintain my mental health.. big changes are very hard for me motivation wise and stress wise. I am always thinking about how many steps are involved to achieve the end goal and I get so overwhelmed that I need to stop thinking about it entirely before even starting. I also worry about every potential out come of the change and need to anticipate/prepare for it.. Right now I would like to have a new job and also my boyfriend has been pushing for us to live together. I have been stuck on the stage of browsing for online options and haven’t gotten any further because it’s too much to handle. So.. I have just stayed where I am at for way longer than I should, people around me are progressing in life and i’m not.
Today I found a job online i’m actually interested in but started thinking about making a cover letter and resume and got overwhelmed. Thinking about interviewing put me into a panic so I didn’t apply yet. I spent 3 years working up the courage to go to the dentist, finally went 2 months ago and found out I needed a root canal but still have not scheduled that appointment due to anxiety.. Last week I made an appointment with my PCP for today to discuss anxiety but I pushed it to next week due to anxiety about going. I am worried about not being able to remember and properly say what I want to say… Also my brain bounces back and forth between “you’re find you don’t need help” and “there is something wrong with you” and who knows which mood i’ll be in on the day of my appointment.. I have always been this way, sometimes I have a good year or something and sometimes I have a bad phase where it’s worse.. I really have a hard time knowing what’s normal/my personality (due to ADD) and if I might actually have a problem with anxiety that could be helped with medication.. I think I need therapy but it’s so expensive and hard to get into around here.

2024.05.16 19:11 yeahnothx13 Letters from home

Do we know if the people that don’t go on this reward still get their loved one letters once they’re out of the game?
For example, someone voted out the day before who production must’ve asked for those letters in case they were there for the reward. Or did Q get his once he got to Ponderosa? Did Maria and Ben get theirs at whatever point they’re not in the game anymore?
Just curious if this has been revealed by production or a player and I missed it. Thanks!

2024.05.16 19:07 MulberryParsnip How can I get noticed for managerial roles?

Hello! As the post states, I am looking to take my career to the next level with a managerial role. I have been applying externally to my current role as there are no opportunities where I presently work. I am a communications professional with over ten years of experience working in government, and I'd like to stay in that kind of environment if possible but I'm open to other opportunities. Anyhow, I've been applying for months with no luck obtaining any interviews or interest for managerial roles (I do get interviews for lateral moves, just not for anything in management). I have tailored my resume and cover letter to focus on successes in my previous roles alongside my responsibilities, and emphasized supervisory and leadership experience. I have also done a lot of in person and online networking, which has resulted in some coffee chats but nothing formal.
Wondering if anyone has any advice on what I might be doing wrong, or on how I can spark interest from hiring managers to take the next steps in my career? I apply to things where I have the requisite experience and where I think I could but a good fit, but nothing seems to give. It's been a bit discouraging and I'd really appreciate ideas or advice.

2024.05.16 19:05 DamnHellAssKings Jack Sherman backing vocals on Mother’s Milk

As many of you know, Jack Sherman played guitar on the self-titled album, mostly covering parts Hillel wrote but also contributing to newly written songs as well. He also has a writing credit on several songs from Freaky Styley, although he doesn’t actually play on the album.
A somewhat lesser known fact is that Jack Sherman is also credited with singing backing vocals on Good Time Boys and Higher Ground from Mother’s Milk. It’s kind of interesting he was asked to perform on the album bc you get the impression he didn’t leave the band on good terms, but I guess they patched things up by then.
The real reason I’m bringing this up has to do with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When RHCP were inducted, the only members included were Anthony, Flea, Chad, Josh, John, Hillel, Jack Irons, and Cliff Martinez. Jack Sherman and Dave Navarro were not inducted with the band and at the time, the explanation was that only original band members, current band members, and members who played on multiple albums were allowed to be considered for induction. At the time, I remember thinking those rules sounded almost deliberately designed to exclude Jack Sherman. Dave Navarro will likely be inducted as a member of Jane’s Addiction and may not even have wanted to be inducted as part of RHCP, but I remember reading interviews with Jack stating that he felt snubbed. I pretty much agreed anyway, but doubly so if he actually did perform on 2 albums.
At the time, Josh had only been in the band for a year and played on one album (he was also the youngest member ever inducted at the time). I love Josh, I love the albums he made with the band and looking back now his role in the band’s legacy is pretty big, but at the time it’s hard to argue it was bigger than Jack Sherman’s.
When KISS was inducted, it was only the original 4 members despite other members playing on multiple albums, and I think there are lots of other examples of bands not adhering to the “current/orignal members or multiple albums” rule. What really went on there? Do you think Jack was snubbed?

2024.05.16 19:04 Shrek_2_Soundtrack Looking for short/feature poetic documentaries for my class

I'm teaching a community college course on documentaries, and when we covered poetic documentaries my class of mostly adult males were not impressed with the regular suspects - Koyaanisqatsi or Sans Soleil. Been digging for other examples to show them, but the popular ones are mostly similar to Koyaamisqatsi. Any thoughts? Bonus points if there are any sports related ones, my class loved Hoop Dreams.

2024.05.16 19:04 MrGingerToYou Is it tournament legal to use the new war dogs as armigers?

I want to make some knights that ride the line between chaos and loyalist and wanted to know if I will have trouble if I want to use war dog chassis that come in the newer box that builds Karnivores. There are some notable differences between the two chassis, but some of that could be covered up by using leftover armor plates from the box that builds huntsmen/executioners. The chains on the main body, as well as the feet are fairly obvious.
In a tournament, if I am running an imperial knights list and some of my armigers were built using the war dog box (but aren’t otherwise extra chaosy) and the weapon loadouts are otherwise correct, (for example running thermal spear, stubber and reaper chain cleaver) will I have issues?

2024.05.16 19:01 Ok_Tradition9445 Laid off recommendation letter

I’ve recently been laid off due to company performance and they’ve offered to write a letter of recommendation. Despite them giving me a month notice of termination, I’ve decided not to immediately start the job hunt and enjoy some time without working. Is it a thing to get a general recommendation letter to use for future jobs applications? I’m not even sure how to request a letter but I would think it would be awkward to request one in the fall for example when I’ve been laid off since spring.

2024.05.16 19:00 moonyfruitskidoo Interview clothes. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Hello! Here I am in the unenviable position of job-searching in my mid 40s. The last time I had to worry about this was a decade ago, and it was awkward then! During this process, I’ve learned that so many guidelines regarding resumes, cover letters, etc have changed, and much of our (US) culture’s fashion expectations in general have relaxed significantly. I’m wondering if the same is true of interview clothing.
For context, I’m in healthcare and typically wear scrubs to work, so I do not have a closet full of business casual, or business anything. My outside of work clothing is mostly second-hand, vintage, with bright colors, band tshirts, leather skirts and jackets. As I age, I’ve also begun gravitating to some classic, neutral pieces such as black flowy pants paired with a neutral cashmere tank from quince. My body shape is 5’8”ish, 150ish, top-heavy with small shoulders, short torso, so the big pants, little shirt trend can be tricky. Also big chest with small rib change makes any button-down shirts tough.
Do I seriously need to buy an interview suit? If not, what would be appropriate for my age, the season, the industry? I’m looking to spend less than $150 if possible, but would spend more if necessary. I’m applying to jobs as a mid-level professional with a masters, so I do need to look like I have my proverbial sh** together.
As far as shoes, I have some NOT chunky, feminine brogue-style shoes in navy. All of my heels, etc are open toe, and I have very narrow feet, so ballet flats are tricky.
Please help! I have two in-person interviews in the middle of next week. Thanks!!

2024.05.16 19:00 neurospicyslp Music help!

For cocktail hour, I'm wondering if it's better to do instrumental vs. Lyrics or a mix. I have songs I love that have lyrics but aren't necessarily dancing music, but I also feel like instrumental music would be less distracting. Does anyone have examples of songs they played at the cocktail hour?
Also, my DJ said to pick 3 slow songs for the reception. What are some good slow songs to use?
Thanks so much! I feel like I have my ceremony music down (all instrumental covers) but am not sure what I want or would be best for cocktail hour.

2024.05.16 18:59 AssignmentCapital716 Moving to PA or stay in AZ

I need some advice. My bf got a promotion at his job, it's in Pennsylvania, we currently reside in AZ. He's going to be making double of what I currently make. He wants me to go with him, he said I don't have to work if I don't want to. I have a daughter, he's willing to let me be a stay at home mother, he just wants me to cook and clean, and take care of the home. He's making it sound so easy and it makes me uncomfortable. I have about 4k in credit card debt, a new car I barely financed 10 months ago, it's a huge car payment. He says he can cover it all, but I don't think it's realistic. I currently have an amazing job here in az. My job has an employee discount for childcare so I'm paying for full time child care $200 a month, while others pay over $1,000. My child also has autism, which the job I work for is an autism therapy place, so she gets ABA therapy there. My benefits are better than most peoples I've noticed. My job is very flexible with me, I can work remotely sometimes but tend to be in office since my child is down the street in the main building where the school is at. My job said they can't offer me to work remotely in Pennsylvania due to some Tax regulations. It would be too much of a hassle for them to accommodate. I've been with them for 3 years, my career was born here, I know at some time I need to move on, I don't think I'm just that ready yet. My superiors tell me I should be confident and can easily get a higher paying job at another company as long as I don't stay in a nonprofit organization. My manager and coworkers are more than willing to write letter of recommendations for me, not sure if that's even looked at anymore for other jobs. I'm a good worker, I'm just not good with interviews and 1:1 talks. So getting a new job would definitely be rough in the interview process.
If I stay in AZ, I'll have to figure out my living arrangements, maybe getting stuck at my mom's place which is already full from my siblings. My sister is unbearable to live with. I really hate the heat here, I can't stand it, but I'm used to it so what's another couples years of it.
I guess comes down to, if I move to PA it would be out of 'love' for my bf and for the benefits of someone else paying bills while I just get to cook, clean, take care of my daughter until she's ready for public school. It just seems wrong to go for the benefits. I do appreciate my bf, he's a good guy, I just don't want to take advantage of him if It takes too long to find another job.
Very random but keeps me awake at night, idk if PA has a huge racist problem or not, I couldn't find much online. My bf and child are lightskin, but I am pretty brown, I can pass a native American with my browness. Ive never really experienced rude racism in AZ. AZ racist peeps tend to just give a look or ignore, but based from social media other places can be very mean. So I'm worried about that.
This is kinda all over the place. I'm very indecisive and just need advice from people who aren't in my biased family and friends circle.

2024.05.16 18:56 Content_Stable_6543 My confusion around Ssarazu's name. Or is it Ssarazul?

So my players are in the ruins of Bloodsalt, so it's just a matter of time until they meat the Terwa Lords. Knowing my players, they will try to approach them diplomatically, so they will meet Ssaraku and her child. The book refers to them sometimes as Ssarazu, sometimes as Ssarazul. I tried to find the reason for it and exclude the possibility of it being an inconsistency from Paizo's side, so I looked into Iruxi and, especially, Tera Lords lore to see if there is any name pattern in which Iruxi names receive additional letters, but I didn't find anything. I even asked my friends who play PF2E, one of them an Iruxi, giving them an example with Pikachu (being Ssarazu) and Pizzachu (being Ssaraku) to keep the whole thing spoiler-free, but to give them the picture of two characters with similar names, which for one the name is inconsistent (thus Pikachul).
So, if I haven't missed anything, it seems to be a mistake in consistency. But I'd like to ask you if you have any knowledge I'm missing and whether you yourselves have ever noticed that.

2024.05.16 18:49 forestburg Is my daughter “slow”?

I feel guilty even asking this but I feel like I really need an outside perspective.
My daughter recently turned 4 and we have always felt that she was a bit “slow”. Before you ask, she does not get a lot of screen time (about 1-2 hours a week total) and we do a lot of enriching family activities- libraries, parks, museums etc. However, from a young age she has always taken a long time to absorb new information and she seems to have poor short and long term memory as well as poor critical thinking skills.
She only learned colors after age 3. At age 4 she can recognize maybe 2-3 letters consistently and 1-2 numbers consistently. She cannot identify some basic shapes like rectangle and oval. It is extremely difficult for her to learn new letters/numbers/shapes no matter how many times and ways she is exposed to it. Note that we never force her to sit down and “work”, but we make sure she has plenty learning exposure through play/life.
Often after I read her a book she will be unable to answer a basic question about the story even though she appears to have been focusing. She is often unable to answer age appropriate critical thinking questions (ex: “why do you think that gardener built a tall fence around his garden?”). She almost always has trouble recalling new words/information even immediately after she learns it (ex: “this soft green plant is called moss! Do you know what this green plant is called?”) She will also sometimes forget words for things that are not new to her- for example, the name of a specific fruit or animal.
She is very social and has age appropriate social skills. Her language skills are age appropriate. She has age appropriate fine and gross motor skills and was not late on any baby milestones.
Is it possible she just falls on the “slower” end of the intellectual spectrum? Or does what I described seem normal to you?
It’s hard for me to be objective because my husband and I are naturally bright and our other child is exceptionally gifted. So I have no real “normal” to compare to.

She had to learn to survive at an early age and had to work in different jobs to stay alive as part of her training. Her father was a huntsman who trained Elena to fight with mentors he trained with in his early life to teach her about the world, to move unseen, move fast in different environments and to use her charm to gain information and gain access to secure places.
When she was 17 years of age, she did huntsman assessment trials and passed with excellent grades. Instead of going to Shade Academy, she took the opportunity that a Beacon Academy faculty member who was visiting Vacuo made for her to go train at Beacon. While suspicious of the teacher´s intentions, she accepted the offer on condition that her father was allowed to move to Vale. Later in her life, she started to wonder whether the teacher was looking for her specifically under the orders of Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon, yet she couldn´t prove anything, and she did profit from it anyway.
She met Rogert Oberon during initiation and became his partner for the rest of initiation. They showed great teamwork and the ability to complement their respective skills. They became members of REPR with Rogert in charge. Elena became Rogert´s most trusted ally and a teacher in parkour and advanced hand-to-hand skills in the team. Over time, Elena grew close to Roth, and Raina became the kind of younger sister Elena never had.
During Elena´s time in the Beacon, Elena gained an interest in singing and becoming a doctor, both interests reinforced by her talent pool. After graduation, Elena wanted to travel the world to see what else is there in the Kingdoms other than Vale and Vacuo.

2024.05.16 18:45 Johnniejr20 2.5 Year old son kicked out of daycare

So today my son was kicked out of daycare he has been going to for about 8 months now. When he first started there was no problems. But they transitioned him to another classroom with older kids since he is getting older and advanced and then a bunch of problems happens
They call and say that he bit a kid or will throw objects and what not. Every now and then. Today ay they gave us a letter saying that 1. He is challenged with sitting during lessons and activities 2. Requires 1 on 1 shadow 3.Unable to self regulate screaming, running, climbing, and throwing 4. Does not communicate with teachers and listens to directions 5. Difficulties transitioning to next activity 6. Running in classroom
The thing with this is my son is very vocal and very knowledgeable for his age. When we are home he lets me know anything that is happening. For example he will say I poopoo, or doggy not nice, or I hit my head my head hurt. Then I will ask him who did it, and he will say floor did it. If I were to tell him to stop running or jumping he listens and will do it. It seemed to me that he didn’t like the teachers in there, he would never say bye to them or high and will always cry when I had to drop him off most days.
He is a kid and just likes to play, they try to make it seem like he is some monster in the class. But certain days i pick him up when he is playing with another little girl he would tell her my dada is here and give her a hug and say goodbye. What is yall output on this
And to add he does not have these problems at home or when we are in public. Except for the occasional tantrums and the running around. Other than that he is never violent with other kids or adults
