My LO is almost 7 weeks old. At 3.5 weeks norovirus hit our home. Our babe had a 101.5 fever and we rushed to the hospital. I was also actively sick at the time but we only admitted her. I threw up in the hospital twice, once at home beforehand, I was miserable but she came first. Then we were transferred to the bigger hospital 45 minutes away because they found bacteria in her blood. It was protocol to look and I thank my lucky stars they did, because she ended up having bacterial sepsis.
Thank the good lord above our daughter fought off the bacteria very quickly and we were there that long just to finish the course of meds. We still need to do one more blood test for a specific immunodeficiency disorder, but otherwise all her other blood work (other disorders, platelets, white blood cell count, liver, kidney) all look normal.
We ended up spending 2 weeks at this hospital that was 45 minutes away from home. I couldn’t just pop home when needed, I felt like a prisoner. I was freshly postpartum sleeping on a hospital chaibed and the baby could never nap properly because of all the commotion at the hospital. Our only saving Grace were the nurses. There were a few that genuinely cared about our well being and I am so grateful to them.
We’ve been home for a week tomorrow, and I’m still not ok. Most days I feel fine, but then there are days like today where she wouldn’t take a nap (away from me at least, she slept on top of me fine lol) until 4:45 in the afternoon. And I become a basket case of anxiety. My body still aches, apparently my tiny little surface level tear hasn’t healed, I’m having weird urethra pain that “she couldn’t see” so it must not be there, and I’m tired. Sure I’m getting 4-5 hours and my daughter sleeps through the night now (5-6 hour stretches) but I’m still so damn tired. I’ve always been the type of person that needed 8-9 hours a night. I’m also an extremely routined and tidied person. If I’m off my routine and my house is messy I am a ball of anxiety. And with a newborn…y’all know how that goes. Luckily I’m still able to keep the house somewhat tidy, I clean when she naps. And I’m trying to relax while my husband is home and taking care of our baby, but it’s so hard to not be “on mom mode” and just chill.
So yah, that is my extremely long anxiety induced essay that I realllyyyy needed to type out. Thanks for reading.

Welcome to the Series of Changes to be Made to the Super Smash Bros. Playable Fighters. First, we are going with the Original of the Series, Smash 64. Now, this topic has been done before, though it'd be fun to make my own. Plus, While some have got proper changes, Most still are the biggest offenders when it comes bad or outdated choices of Movesets, animations, aesthetics, etc. Here is the list of them.
Mario:

Mario will now have his English voice from Kevin Afghani instead of Charles Martinet due to the latter retiring from his acting career.
Mario is now able to Crawl.
Mario now has a Water Meter from Super Mario Sunshine where by pressing the Shield Special button, the water meter refills after usage of said water.
His Fire Mario & Wario Alt. Return.
Down-Tilt - Roll: Performs a Roll attack.
Side-Smash - Hammer: Swings his hammer forward.
Up-Smash: His old Up Special, Super Jump Punch, is moved here.
Neutral-Special - Jump Spin: Spins around himself.
Down-Aerial - Ground Pound: Butt Stomps downward, meteor spiking & bouncing on opponents.
Neutral-Special - Firebrand: Remains the same in function, just name change.
Side-Special - Cappy: Tosses Cappy forward like a boomerang and/or can jump on him like an extra platform, while holding the button.
Up-Special - Wing Cap: Spawns a Wing Cap & shoots up into the air before gliding.
Down-Special - F.L.U.D.D: Remains the same though also it now can damage opponents and change into Nuzzle Form in the air and help him into the air.
Left Victory Pose: Jumps to the top of a flagpole, slides down it, then hops off and happily poses

Donkey Kong:

Donkey Kong will now have his voice from Takashi Nagasako instead of the Stupid and Bland realistic Gorilla Grunts.
His white alt. has a blue tie, to accurately represent Super Kong.
Neutral-Special - Coconut Shooter: Takes out His Coconut Shooter, then fires a Coconut.
Side-Special - Barrel Throw: Picks a Barrel up then throws it forward or if in the air down, which the barrel can be picked up as item.
Up-Special - Barrel Cannon: Enters a barrel cannon and fires himself in the direction that is input.
Final-Smash - Finishing Blow: Starts off with landing a powerful upward punch, if success at hitting the opponent, the screen darkens then, lands a flurry of fast punches before knocking them upwards.
Idle Animation #2: He quickly sits down and pulls out a Nintendo Switch and plays it.
Up-Taunt: Still pounds his chest, but now hollers wildly while doing so.
Left Victory Pose: DK rapidly punches and kicks a Slot Machine Barrel from the Retro Donkey Kong Country games, breaking it and releasing a bunch of bananas; once he's done, he lands on the ground and smiles for the camera, while giving a thumbs-up
Right Victory Pose: He still pounds his chest, but just like his new Up-Taunt, hollers wildly.

Link will not just use the Master Sword, he will use the Ancient Axe and Guardian Spear.
Side-Smash - Spear Thrust: Performs a straight-forward stab with his Spear.
Up-Smash - Vertical Spin: Jumps and Spin slashes upwards.
Down-Smash: Spins his axe around while charging, and then slams his axe onto the ground.
Neutral-Aerial: Spins the Axe in a circle.
Forward-Aerial: Thrusts the spear forwards.
Grab - Magnesis: Picks up a Magnet, then Fires two whips to grab an opponent, which can be used as a tether recovery.
Down-Throw: Pins the opponent to the ground & stabs them with a claymore.
Neutral-Special: Adds more arrows than just the wooden ones.
Fire Arrows: Deal fire damage.
Ice Arrows: Deal ice damage & freeze opponents when at high enough percentages.
Thunder Arrows: Make a bolt of lightning strike the opponent hit, dealing electric damage.
Bomb Arrows: Explode on contact.
Light Arrows: Goes through opponents when fully charged.
Ancient Arrows: Creates a massive blue explosion of energy.
Up-Special - Sailcloth: Pulls out the Sailcloth, then goes in an updraft and afterwards goes straight down without changing direction.

Power Suit Samus:

She is now able to switch between Plasma Beam Energy & Ice Beam Energy, by using the Shield Special Button.
Now moves slightly faster and has more air speed.
The Missiles do now reload when not in use or after being KO'd.
Her green alt. is replaced by a blue and white skin, based on her default suit from Metroid Dread*.*
Jab - Cannon Kata: Starts with a straight punch, then thrusts her arm cannon forward for the second hit and fires a small energy blast.
Up-Tilt - Melee Counter: Swings her arm cannon upward.
Down-Tilt - Slide: Performs a forward Slide kick.
Dash-Attack - Dash Melee: Swings her Arm Cannon upwards while running.
Side-Smash - Diffusion Blast: Releases an area of effect blasts at Close-ranged.
Up-Smash - Overhead Blast: Same as Side Smash Attack but upwards.
Neutral-Aerial: Her old Up Special, Screw Attack, is moved here.
Forward-Aerial - Spazer Beam: Fires a blast that splits into three lasers.
Down-Aerial - Downward Blast: Aims her Arm Cannon straight downward and releases a blast of orange energy
Pummel - Grapple Voltage: Deals Electric Damage and heals herself somewhat.
Back-Throw - Wave Beam: Swings the opponent behind herself & fires an energy blast in a sine curve at them.
Neutral-Special: Also, now adds Ice Beams, where she fires an Ice Beam at the opponent, dealing ice damage & freezing them.
Side-Special: Can depend on if it is tapped or held, where she fires one if tapped, though if held, she can shoot 5 or 10 missiles.
Up-Special - Shinespark: Launches herself in any inputted direction as a gold shine emerges.
Down-Special: Also, now adds Freeze Fields, where she summons 3 spinning ice projectiles that block attacks & freeze opponents.
Final-Smash - Hyper Beam: Charges her arm cannon & fires a large beam of energy, which can be angled & can go through opponents & walls.

Yoshi:

His Black Yoshi alt. returns.
Yoshi can now hold to six eggs he creates with his Neutral Special.
Grab: Remains the same although it can also now be used a tether recovery and a ledge clinger.
Neutral-Special: Functions the same but it also now can be used as a tether recovery and a ledge clinger and also can now grab items and projectiles.
Side-Special: His old Up Special, Egg Throw, is moved here and a reticle also appears and can be angled before being thrown.
Up-Special - Wing Flutter: Small wings emerge from his back as he flaps into the air.
Down-Special - Ground Pound: Beginning of the move's function is the same, but it now has the ability to Meteor Spike and Bounce on opponents. Also, Name is changed.

Kirby:

Kirby's Gimmick now consists of the Copy Abilities from the Kirby Games instead of Copied Neutral Specials.
Down-Tilt - Slide Kick: Performs a forward Sliding Kick.
Dash-Attack: His Brawl & Smash 4 Dash Attack, Break Spin, is back and functions the same as it did in Brawl & Smash 4.
Side-Smash - Staff: Swings the Staff forward.
Up-Smash - Yo-Yo: Spins the Yo-Yo upwards, then brings it back to him.
Down-Smash - Bell: Performs a spin and then strikes on both sides of him with his bells, creating 2 damaging soundwaves.
Forward-Throw - Giant Swing: Does a giant swing forward.
Back-Throw - Air Suplex: Does a backwards Suplex.
Up-Throw - Ultra Back Breaker: Jumps, spins around & lands to the ground with the opponent for an explosion.
Down-Throw - Megaton Slam: Lifts the opponent up & then throws them onto the ground.
Neutral-Special: Name & Function remain the same though now it also functions like it does in the Kirby Games.
Side-Special - Circus: Does two short somersaults and backsaults back to where he started the attack.
Up-Special - Hi-Jump: Jumps high into the air and turns left or right and can collide with opponents along the way.
Down-Special: The Move Stays but with some tweaks here and there as Stone can now slide temporarily while dashing and using the move.
Final-Smash - Paint Out: Sprays blobs of paint all over, causing damage and knockback to opponents.

Fox:

Final-Smash - Arwing: Says "It's go time", then hops aboard on the arwing, then goes into First-Person Perspective and fires arwing shots and smart bombs.

Pikachu:

Pikachu will also now have alternate colors instead of Headwear, although its Pikachu Libre costume remains. Its alternate colors include Blue (Marill), Gray (Togedemaru), White (Pachirisu), Orange (Raichu),
Dash-Attack - Wild Charge: Shrouds in electricity, while charging at the opponent and smashes into them. It may inflict self-damage though.
Up-Tilt - Thunder Punch: Punches with large hands of electricity upwards.
Up-Smash - Iron Tail: Remains the same in function, but it also now glows whitish gray and hits a bit harder.
Neutral-Aerial - Discharge: Lets loose some of its electricity to strike at all opponents.
Neutral-Special - Electro Ball: Its body becomes surrounded in yellow electricity and multiple yellow sparks come off its body. The electricity then condenses at the middle of its face and forms into an Orange-yellow ball, then fires the ball at the opponent.
Side-Special - Zippy Zap: Charges up electricity as it's surrounded by electricity after charge. If charged, it goes farther faster dash forwards. If Uncharged however, it makes a quick short dash forwards.
Final-Smash - Volt Tackle: Electrifies its entire body and blast forwards like a super-charged projectile and If it manages to hit an opponent, a large electrical explosion comes upon impact, launching nearby fighters, also dealing electric damage.

Luigi:

Like Mario, Luigi will now have his voice from Kevin Afghani instead of Charles Martinet due to the latter retiring from his acting career.
Luigi is now able to Wall Jump.
Luigi has the Elemental Medals Meter, which he can have his Poltergeist-00 switch by using the Shield Special, and can also refill the meter of the Element by using said button.
Side-Smash - Hammer: Swings his hammer forward.
Down-Aerial - Ground Pound: Butt Stomps downward, meteor spiking & bouncing on opponents.
Neutral-Aerial - Jump Spin: Spins around himself.
Neutral-Special - Thunderhand: Fires an Electricity Ball from his hand, dealing electric damage.
Side-Special - Spin Tornado: Winds Up and Spins Forward, generating a tornado that covers him completely then dealing multiple Hits toward opponents in the way before launching them.
Down-Special - Elemental Medals: Do specific attacks, all of which have a meter.
Water: Deals water damage.
Ice: Deals ice damage and can freeze opponents
Fire: Deals fire damage.
Down-Taunt: Luigi will briefly wear the Poltergust G-00 and flash the Strobulb in front of him to see if it's working properly. Opponents right in front of Luigi when he flashes the Strobulb will get stunned momentarily, as if their Shield was just broken.

Ness:

When Ness hits the opponent with his Baseball Bat while his Side Smash is fully charged**,** the SMAAAASH!!! Text box appears.
Down-Smash - Paralysis: Deals stun damage with his PSI.
Neutral-Special - Slingshot: Pulls out a slingshot, then fires a Slingshot projectile, which can be aimed forwards, upwards or downwards.
Side-Special: His old Neutral Special, PK Flash, is moved here and now he can fire it.
Down-Special - Lifeup: Heals damage with his PSI.
Final-Smash - PSI Rockin' Ω: Fires a PSI burst forward & creates several psychic fireworks on any caught opponents before releasing a larger burst.

Captain Falcon:

Neutral-Special - Pistol: Pulls out a pistol, then shoots an energy blast, dealing electric damage.

Jigglypuff:

Jigglypuff now has alternate colors instead of Headwear. These Alternate Colors include Blue (Marill), Black (Gastly), Beige (Rowlet), Gray (Togedemaru), Green (Solosis), Purple (Koffing) and Light-Yellow (Togepi).
Jab - Double Slap: Performs two alternating slaps forward, which can be used five times.
Side-Tilt - Uproar: Causes an Uproar, making sound waves come out of its mouth at the opponent.
Up-Tilt - Mega Punch: Performs a strong punch with its right hand upwards.
Down-Tilt - Round: Takes a quick breath, then fires a high-pitched blast of sound from its mouth.
Dash-Attack - Take Down: Recklessly charges at the opponent, dealing damage.
Side-Smash - Focus Punch: Punches opponents with a high amount of force.
Up-Smash - Drain Punch: Punches with its fists upwards,
Down-Smash - Frustration: Slams its hand onto the ground in anger.
Neutral-Aerial - Gyro Ball: Gets surrounded by a metallic aura, then spins rapidly and slams the opponent.
Forward-Aerial - Brick Break: Performs a forward swing chop.
Back-Aerial - Mega Kick: Performs a strong backwards kick.
Up-Aerial - Icy Wind: Releases a wind of Ice from its mouth upwards, dealing ice damage and freezing opponents.
Down-Aerial - Body Slam: Falls downward onto the opponent, also meteor spiking them.
Pummel: Its Old Side Special, Pound, is moved here and now it just punches the opponent.
Forward-Throw - Zen Headbutt: Headbutts opponents with psychic willpower, launching them away.
Back-Throw - Fling: Picks the opponent up, then throws them.
Up-Throw - Psychic: Holds the opponent in place with its mind, then throws them upward.
Down-Throw: Its old Neutral Special, Rollout, is moved here and turns itself into a boulder, then pins the opponent down and rolls on their back.
Neutral-Special - Disarming Voice: Lets out a Charm Cry that does emotional damage to the opponent.
Side-Special - Dazzling Gleam: Emits a Powerful Flash.
Up-Special - Bounce: Jumps into the air, then lands back on the opponents or stages, bouncing on the opponent and/or stage, which when landing and bouncing on the opponent, it can use other attacks, but when landing on the stage instead of opponent it can't directly attack again.
Down-Special: Its old Up Special, Sing, is moved here.
Final-Smash - Hyper Voice: Inhales a bunch of air, inflating her balloon-like body a bit, before letting out a loud attack that uses sound waves & blasts opponents backwards quite a distance.
Side-Taunt: The animation remains exactly the same, but sparkly energy now surrounds her body
Up Victory Pose: Jigglypuff twirls around like a ballerina as sparkly energy surrounds her body, before hopping on one leg and posing for the camera.

And, there you go. This took a little while, though i hope you to hear your feelings about these changes (as long as your reasons are good). Any changes that you want to see to the Original 12 that I didn't mention, or did I misplace some moves? or did I add a change that was unnecessary to some of you? Hello everyone! I’m running something for my book that I’m sure you’ll enjoy! I’m writing a book titled Anastasius which is Greek for Renewal. But I was thinking of a fun way to raise money for the book and a fun way to interact with potential readers! So I was thinking, if I give the characters who will be in my book, perhaps there could be a fundraiser for this! It will be $10 USD per character and there is no limit to how many characters you’d like! I’ll post the sheet for each character and you can pick and choose which tribe you’d like create your own character! If you have anymore questions I’ll be happy to answer! I take payments through PayPal as it’s the only thing I understand how to use!

I’ve been mainly using Aussie for years, several different lines, but mainly Aussie Miracle Moist. My hair used to very greasy and heavy in hs, but post accutane, tended to err on the side of dry and airy. Within the last year, I’ve found that my scalp (along my hairline, near the center of my forehead specifically) get VERY dry, with big white flakes. Not much itching unless I pick at it, the flakes are not all over my head. They go away on days I don’t shampoo, and using Head and Shoulders helps after a while, but I’ve noticed they are far worse on days I shampoo…. Its leading me to think that maybe its the Aussie Miracle Moist? I’ve tried using sulfate free shampoos (didn’t like), different Aussie lines, alternating between shampooing more vs less in a week…. never seems to make a difference. Using my Garnier Fructis clarifying shampoo also leads to flakes…. I don’t know what I need - potentially a MORE hydrating shampoo? Or maybe its something with Aussie ingredients???
I would really love some shampoo and condish recs for those with drier scalps/hair! I seriously have VERY little oil, which makes my hair feel thinner, airier and weightless in a BAD way!

I was diagnosed with shingles and given Valaciclovir and Prednisone
I’m supposed to take Valaciclovir three times per day. I don’t want to fall behind on my schedule. I took one last night around midnight and one at noon when I woke up today. Instead of every eight hours, could I take today’s doses every 6 to 7 hours and then go to a normal schedule tomorrow morning? Or is there a risk of overdosing, ineffectiveness, etc.
I’m also wondering if taking prednisone will make this worse? My understanding with other illnesses is that steroids suppress the immune response which provides physical relief but may stop the body from fighting the virus itself. My rash is creeping down my scalp onto my forehead, so I need to do everything possible to keep this away from my eye

Four years ago I moved into a new house. The landlord told me MANY times before I signed the lease that the house is very old. I didn’t think anything of it. Long story short, I ended up spiritually cleansing the house on day 3 of my lease. The paranormal activity stopped and everything was fine.
However, in the following months and for a year or more, I had recurrent, mysterious pain in my body. I will try to describe it as best I can, but I am aware it sounds insane. I’ve seen a few doctors who have no clue what I am talking about, and I was told for sure that it’s not vascular (to my family and I, it seemed closest to a blood clot that moved around my entire body which doesn’t make sense, but nothing about it made sense).
I used to get a throbbing pain in my left palm and wrist that was very intense. The pain would sometimes move slowly up my arm and it was extremely painful and uncomfortable. It felt like I had an animal the size of a tennis ball moving up my arm. Usually, there were no physical signs of anything, but a time or 2, the area of pain (that moved around) would seem slightly inflamed/bulging and pinkish (I’m white).
One time, the above ^ happened and the “thing” started in my left hand/wrist and slowly moved up my arm, then across my back and down my side, then down my right leg. I don’t remember the exact “trail”, but the pain wasn’t going through the entire area of the limb it was passing through. For example, when going up my arm, I felt it on the front or back or side of my arm—not the entire circumference of my arm in that area, if that makes sense. Same thing when it went down my leg: it started on the outer side of my right leg then went down and around to the back of my calf. Very painful and uncomfortable. I was writhing in pain as it moved around my body.
Another time, the same exact type of pain started in my right foot but only traveled up to my ankle. I literally could not walk or apply pressure to it. I was sitting on the sofa when it started and it was late so I was going to bed and had to crawl to my room. I was 100% convinced that I had broken my foot without realizing it somehow and planned to go to the ER in the morning. There was no swelling or physical signs of a problem. And it was not a cramp or muscular. I imagine that is what a broken foot would feel like. In the morning (or maybe even later that night, I don’t remember) the pain was completely gone. I felt like I was losing my mind because I literally had to crawl to my room.
It has only recently occurred to me that maybe what I was experiencing was paranormal-based, especially as I have been learning about demons for the first time in my life and believe I have been under demonic attack since my early childhood (long story that I’m not getting into here). I have been ignorant about demons until very recently and have been reflecting on my experiences and putting things into perspective and thought maybe that could explain the weird, painful episodes that doctors didn’t understand that I used to have after moving to a new house.
I appreciate any insight or thoughts on this. I am pretty sure it only happened while I was home. I don’t recall it happening elsewhere.

The dust swirled around, carried by the winds that roared through the mountain passes, howled in the valleys, and scoured the faces of the mountains. It was a thick gray dust, glittering here and there with plasma glass dust. Burnt out cars were covered by the dust, thickly caked after being rained on by thick, black rain.
A single building somehow sat intact amid the rubble and destruction. It was a low, squat building, surrounded by wreckage and ruin. A sign, blasted and scorched, had two jumping fish on it and the legend "Pop: 4,823" at the bottom even though the middle of the sign was gone.
The sound of drums and singing could be heard from the building. Not the driving frantic beat of modern music, but the steady cadence that carried with it a solemn feeling. The singing was from many different voices, male and female, but all of them in a language that time had nearly forgotten.
From out of the dust came figures. Two female, four male, and single figure that stood out from others.
Together, they moved toward the sound of singing, until the reached the door.
The leader, a large man of heavy muscle and bone, checked the doors with one hand, a large pistol in his hand.
"Barricaded," the large man said. He motioned. "We should check for any other entrances."
The older woman of brown skin and tightly braided hair moved forward.
"Allow me, brother," she said gently. She held her hand out, twitched her fingers, and smiled.
From inside came the sound of furniture scraping across the floor.
"Thank you," the large man said. He pushed open the doors, holding them for the others.
Inside was a curio shop slash tourist center slash museum. Buckskin and beaded works hung from the walls and ceiling. Glass cases containing ancient artifacts were scattered about, the glass shattered by the apocalypse that had rained down upon the world.
The drums played and the voices sang.
"It's a recording, Father," the slender brown skin man said, brushing the gray dust off of his clothing.
"Live voice," the largest of the men said. He lifted his head, cocking it slightly to listen closer with his right ear. "Young. Early twenties."
"If you say so," the thin man said. He looked around. "This is all devoted to a single person."
"Sometimes, people are that important to others, Dhruv," the older brown skin woman said softly, patting the slender man's arm. "Important to others as you are to us."
The slender man looked doubtful but nodded.
The youngest male of the group looked around, staring at the artifacts and relics scattered around. On his shoulder sat a green mantid wearing a food wrapper as a poncho.
"She's this way," the heavyset man said, leading them on a winding course through the shattered displays and racks.
In the back room, surrounded by artifacts, buckskins, and beaded works, sat a single young woman. Her eyes were white, blinded from the plasma flashes. Her skin was scarred from burns, her hair was only left in small patches. Her skin, beneath the ash and the scarring, was a rich bronze, her remaining hair was black.
She was singing along with the recording, swaying back and forth slightly.

The larger man knelt down, touching the young woman.
She did not react.
"She's dying," the man said, standing up. "Hunger, thirst, radiation poisoning, at least a half dozen infections," he heft the pistol. "There's nothing we can do for her. Low-vee Apers."
"Low-vee APERS" the pistol replied in a heavy synthesized voice.
"Stay thy hand, Phillip," the one who was markedly different said, his voice as gentle as his features formed of flowing blue and white computer code.
The large man lowered the pistol.
"She's dying," the large man repeated. "Radiation poisoning, starvation, a hard way to go."
"Will none of you speak for her?" the man of code asked gently.
Before any of the others could act, the slim bald man stepped forward. "I will," he said softly.

The man of code stepped forward, touching the hairless brow of the slender man, just above the missing eyebrows.
"I understand her words now," the slender man said. He moved up and knelt down. "I can heal her."

The large man stepped back, a compartment opening on his thigh. He holstered the pistol, looking doubtful, and the compartment smoothly closed, leaving his leg unblemished.
"I need more genetic code," the slender man stated. He stood up, moving around, touching artifacts. "This. Here. An artifact recovered from a collector only a few years ago. It has genetic code attached."
He touched the artifact, then moved over to the woman, who was still swaying back and forth, singing, unaware of the others around her.
He knelt down, reached out carefully, and touched her forehead.

The woman threw her head back, her eyes opening wide, her mouth opening in a gasp. The white drained from her eyes, the scar tissue went soft and was replaced by unblemished skin. The blisters, sores, and scratches on her body vanished.
She collapsed forward, the slender man, Luke, catching her.
"Is she alright?" the youngest male asked, his voice full of honest concern.
"Exhausted," Luke said. He lowered his head slightly, sweat dripping from his bald scalp. "That was tiring."
The glittering man moved forward, kneeling down to touch the shoulders of both the woman and the bald man.
"Now you see in yourself what I saw in you," he said.

Sirens were howling in the bay as Jaskel wriggled, trying to break free of whatever was holding him upside down in mid-air. He'd already dropped his chainsword, his pistol had fallen from his equipment belt.
The two stood in the middle of the deployment area for Clone War Bay Sixteen, the male's arm protectively around the shoulders of the female, who wore only the cloak.
"I..." the word hung in the air.
It seemed like the entire universe held its breath to Jaskel.
"...am Legion."
The Admiral grabbed his pistol, rolling in place, firing it as fast as he could pull the trigger.
The rounds exploded on the glowing blue shield that only appeared around the impact points, showering sparks across the bay.
The bald figure made a motion and the pistol flew into pieces, the Admiral yanked into the air upside down.
"Gimme missiles," Jaskel grated from between gritted teeth.

The woman spoke, her cadence stately and almost archaic feeling.
The man spoke back to her in the same language.
More troops ran into the bay, even as the windows overlooking the bay shattered. Weapons deployed, pointing at the pair.
The slender man, without looking, motioned.
Guns flew away, breaking apart, rapidly disassembling. Power armored troops were flung into the air, to hang upside down. Captain N'Skrek found himself upside down, scrabbling for purchase on this air.
The woman spoke to the man. He spoke back.
Finally, he turned, facing the troops hanging in mid-air.
The woman spoke.
"My sister apologies for my rude actions," the man said. "I am merely ensuring her safety."
She spoke some more.
"She has been gone for many years," the man said. He looked around. "My sister, a Biological Apostle of the Digital Omnimessiah, pleads with you to lower your weapons and stay your hands."
The tension was so thick it almost made Jaskel gag.
Finally, the Captain put the tip of a bladearm against his temple.
"Stand down," he said, Jaskel hearing it through his armor's commo system. "All hands, stand down."
There was silence for a moment, only broken by the background humming of the ship's systems.
The woman spoke.
The man faced the Captain.
"She will go with you, to answer questions, on the stipulation that I accompany her and that no man's hand is raised against me without cause," he said.
The Captain nodded.
Jaskel felt relief as he was flipped over and set on his feet.

Captain N'Skrek ducked slightly to fit through the doorway into the Captain's Briefing Room Six.
Sitting at one end was the woman, now clothed in what his implant assured him was treated deer hide leather, with tassels and beads upon it. The man was wearing a uniform that made his implant twitch and his nerves draw tight.
A Terran Combined Military Authority uniform.
His staff filed in behind him and took their seats once he sat down.
"I'm Captain N'Skrek, currently assigned to the Gray Lady on autonomous assignment," N'Skrek said.
"You heard me," the slim bald man said. He gave a grin. "You may also know me as Vat Grown Luke or Dhruv Deshmuhk."
The woman spoke and he shook his head. "Yes, sister, I know, Deshmuhk is my slave name. I wear it for revenge."
The woman spoke again, her tone slightly chiding.
"Like they say, the best revenge is living well, sister," the man said, still smiling.
Again, the woman spoke.
N'Skrek noticed that his implant was absolutely no help in deciphering the woman's speech.
"I know that doing things like that and saying things like that is exactly why Daxin always told me people wanted to punch me in the face," the man laughed.
He turned back to Captain N'Skrek.
"My apologies. My sister refuses to speak anything but her people's ancient tongue," his eyes gleamed with mischief. "She is slightly put out with me for answering in Confederate Standard, since now you know that she understands perfectly what you are saying."
N'Skrek nodded. Vat Grown Luke had given up a valuable piece of information in what was sure to be delicate negotiations.
"And what should we call your sister?" N'Skrek asked.
Vat Grown Luke smiled. "Tsakáka Wia, but it would probably be easier for you to use the more common name," he said.
The woman spoke sternly.
"What? It's your commonly known name?" he said, smiling.
The woman's face grew stern and she spoke rapidly.
"The first lesson we learn, sister mine, is that we must bend the knee to reality," Luke said gently. "That name has no power, only a few of us remember it."

Luke turned back to the gathered officers. "Her name, as you would know it, is Sacajawea."
N'Skrek consulted his implant.

"That's right. We are real, and he was real," Luke said. He leaned forward slightly. "He was real both times."
N'Skrek stayed relaxed and calm, at least outwardly.
"I am willing to accept, at this time, that the Biological Apostles and the Digital Omnimessiah were and are real," N'Skrek said.
"Just be glad Dax isn't here. He's not as even tempered as I am," Luke said.
Sacajawea spoke again and Luke laughed. He looked at Captain N'Skrek. "She was just reminding me of the time Daxin completely lost his cool and went to town with his cutting bar on a Countess Crey Bingo Cola vending machine that ate his money then mocked him for it."
"He was known as Enraged Phillip," N'Skrek said.
Sacajawea spoke for a moment and Legion laughed, then turned to N'Skrek.
"Yes."
N'Skrek hated that. When a person spoke at length and the translator just replied with a single word.
"Why are you here?" N'Skrek asked.
Legion smiled. "You have forgotten important things, Captain. You, and the entire Confederacy have forgotten some very important things."
"Like what?" N'Skrek asked.
"If you print enough identical clones, I am reborn through them," Legion smiled. "But that's not the big part. The big one is the one that the Mar-gite's masters either forgot or never learned."
"What is that?" N'Skrek asked.
Legion smiled widely.
"What fear tastes like."

~ General Recommendations (All Consoles) For Anyone Who Can't Decide ~

First off, I won't recommend big or famous games like Final Fantasy or Persona, this is more for lesser know, hidden gems, or just games where it's hard to find someone talking about them.

[Valkyria Chronicles]

[Valkyria Chronicles 4]

This one is really hard to explain through words alone, but just in case, the VC series is a World War 2 military setting story, where you act as the lead of a squad and take mission to drive back the enemy. The story is drama heavy and the gameplay is tactical turn-based, but it's mixed with real-time third person shooter.
You can also make your own army by recruiting different types of solders, training them and upgrading their gear. From rifles to tanks, this is a game you have to experience to understand.

[Fuga: Melodies of Steel 1 & 2]

Great game, great art style, and really well made and balanced turn-based combat. That alone is enough to get the game. Then you add the time-management part of the game, where you spend time upgrading the different tank rooms, cooking, exploring ruins, spending time to bond with other characters, and so on. It's also great if you want a game that you can play for an hour or 2 and then put down for later. As the game is played through stages, and once you're done with a stage, you get an intermission to do what you want and come back to it later.
It's not a long game (compared to the usual JRPG), as you mentioned, it's about 20 hours. Story-wise I think it was a bit too short. Gameplay wise it was great fit, because it didn't outstay it's welcome, and it ends when you feel you have mastered the gameplay and want to face the final challenge.
The story is good, but isn't the focus. Gameplay is the main focus. In fact you'll feel that a lot of context isn't told in the story, but instead left for you to either read about in the in-game wiki or just figure out through obvious clues in the story.
There is a big mechanic that this meant to put a lot of pressure on your playthrough (don't worry about it being spoiled because it's literally explained in the first hour of the game). The thing is though, if you have experience in JRPGs or just play in a really well thought out and relaxed manner, then that mechanic might not be as big a deal as they make it seem to be. Yet it's still fun nonetheless.
Fuga 2 is even better. It fixes a lot of the minor issues the first game had, and what's really great, is it improved the "big pressure" mechanic I talked about, and now it actually is a big deal. Then add to that so much little new mechanics added that just makes for a much more fun and challenging game. The 2nd game also continues the same story.

[Ni no Kuni] Series

If you're looking for that great Isekai fantasy adventure feel, then these two games are where it's at. Fantastic visuals and great music, coupled with a great art style, a combo that is perfect for a chill and relaxed gaming experience. Especially when talking about the first game, with the help ofStudio Ghibli, they managed to make a truly whimsical world with that Studio Ghibli classic touch.

- Important Note: The games aren't connected story-wise, so you can start with any of them -

[Wrath of the White Witch]

For a the best fantasy adventure feel, while the combat is a hit or miss depending on your taste, don't let that stop you from actually diving into a true fairy tale world, this is the one with the better story in my opinion, so if you want more story than game, this is for you. Still it has a good share of gameplay, from raising and collecting Pokemon-like monsters, to learning and using different spells, not just in combat but for the overworld too.

[Ni no Kuni™ II: Revenant Kingdom]

This one focuses more on gameplay, with a Kingdom builder, Army battles, Heavy loot focus, and even character collector, this is the one to go with if you want more game than story. Still has the great music and he fantastical art style and setting. Add to that a lot of side activities like beating rare monsters, collecting cute creatures to help you in battle, and even going around the world to gather people to help you build your kingdom. You'll never be short on things to do.
Finally, both of them have beautifully draw world that is just a pleasure to walkthrough, made even better with the amazing orchestral soundtrack.

[Star Ocean The Second Story R]

The original PS1 game was already an amazing JRPG and a classic. But this remake takes it to go even further beyond SSJ3. It should be the standard on how to make a faithful remake on of a classic title.
I don't want to overhype it more than I already did. So to keep this short, this remake does so much:

All major story events are now fully voice acted. This includes a lot of the private actions too.
Fully redone and better translation of the game.
New Character to recruit to the party.
New Private Actions and 13 new Endings.
New character portraits, not just for the main cast, but also for many other characters.
A complete rework for the battle system to be up to modern standards.
So many QoL features:
- Auto-saving
- Fast-forward cut-scenes or skip them.
- Text log
- All difficulties can be accessed from the start
- Fast travel
- 3 different voice dubbing options to choose from (New English, Original Japanese, New Japanese)
- Your choice of different art styles
- Choose between original OST and new rearranged OST.
- No random battles anymore, as enemies can be seen and avoided

And believe me when I say I still haven't touched half of the amazing work that has gone into this remake.

[Sword and Fairy 7: Together Forever]

They did a great job with the presentation of the game. Great voice acting (Chinese), great graphics, amazing music, and an impressive attention to details of the world and it's lore, especially the engineering of the buildings and their decor. Then you have the really beautiful design of each piece of gear, and even just normal attire of each NPC and the disciples of each sect or soldiers of each of the different of each plane (gods, humans, demons).
Then we go to how great looking the monsters and local flora and fauna of each realm. You can feel the intense work that has gone into making and animating each of them. It really is a joy to watch them, as much as it is to watch each environment you see them in. There really isn't enough time to talk about how good the presentation is.
As for the story. First off, I am not an expert in Chinese novels mythology, but I am a big fan of Xianxia and Wuxia novels. So when I say that the story is...good but nothing great, I am saying this as more than just a JRPG fan, but also someone who is very into this type of world and Chinese martial arts fantasy setting. it's nothing that will stick in your mind, apart from the events that take place in some of the beautiful set pieces in the game, or the cut-scenes with beautiful action cheoragphy.
The gameplay is also about average. The side-quests are fun and are worth doing if nothing more than for learning more about the lore and the world. But the actual battles and action gameplay isn't as good as the best ones out there, but it's not bad. I have ran into some bugs, some small, some big, but that was when the game just came out, and it did receive a lot of patches since then. You can tell that they aimed to make a huge triple A production, but didn't have the time or manpower to test a game of this size. It's still fun to play and experience, but the level of gameplay is nowhere near the level of the presentation that the game gives the impression of having just from watching the gameplay or trailers.
If you enjoy walking through magical and fantastic looking JRPG worlds, or if you enjoy Xianxia/Wuxia fiction, then this is an easy choice. Hell even if you don't, it's still worth a go at this price.

[Blue Dragon] & [Lost Odyssey]

These two are classic titles that will probably won't be ported to or remade to modern consoles. That's why this might be the last way you'll ever get to experience 2 classic titles of the genre. Lost Odyssey has great story writing and unique character settings, and Blue Dragon has great exploration and a really fun character class customization system, and one hell of a boss theme.

[Monster Sanctuary]

This is a solid game, everything in is polished and balanced to make sure you are having fun collecting new monsters and customizing your team through evolution/skill trees/gear and making the best in-sync party you can. I only wish it was longer, it's not short by any means, but it's not long either. I would say depending on if you're trying to "catch them all" and explore everything and fight all bosses, this could easily be a 30+ hours game, but if you focus on the story, then it's about 20 to 30 hours. Now even longer with the 2 new free DLC expansion added.
Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining that it's short, but that I was having so much fun, that I wish it didn't end.

I've been stuck on the Biker Gang Gauntlet for about 2 weeks now. I can beat the first three trainers, but I usually have nothing left by the time I get to the fourth, and I get swept by the Goodra or the Emboar.
