Hi everyone. This is super long, and I apologize in advance.
I first want to acknowledge that I understand cheating as a no go, inexcusable, and completely disrespects anyone's boundaries and trust. It is so painful, and has happened to me in previous relationships. Before, I would stay, be the doormat, only for it to happen again. This was in the high school years when we were all just trying to navigate... everything. But now it's happened to me again as adults during a 3 year long relationship.
A couple of months ago, my partner admitted to cheating on me a year ago when being wasted / blacked out. He was at a party and ran into some random person from HS. Alcohol is no excuse, but for him he has an overall problem with drinking rather than it just being isolated. It was a problem in our relationship for a while. The lying was ridiculous, childish, and unacceptable. It's total Jekyll and Hyde. After he cheated, he drank himself to death over it in silence. He blocked her and never spoke to her again. He barely spoke to me. We didn't have very positive experiences together and we stopped doing as much. His guilt couldn't bring him to tell me. He says it happened during a period where we were not intimate and he was craving, but that it happened for a couple of minutes before he stopped it, knowing it was a choice HE made (a terrible one), regardless of what happened leading up to it.
The moment I found out, I left and stayed with my parent for a month or so (it would've been longer had my parent's living situation didn't change so drastically). I wanted to regain my power, sense of identity, and give myself the space to heal while giving him the time to really sit with what he did.
He is profusely apologetic, going to AA, therapy, and getting back on medications. I've seen this man lie enough about drinking to know when he is being truthful and when he isn't. He says he was childish in handling things, has never made an excuse for what he did, and fully acknowledges the work that has to be done to regain my trust. When he says he won't do it again, I do believe him: not in blissful ignorance, but as someone who recognizes that the rest of our relationship, and who he is as a person, is worth working through this terrible situation. He has fully owned up, saying he needs to grow up, man up, and be responsible for his actions. He told the people he respects the most in his life exactly what he did. He says he can't even believe that the choice to cheat even became an option.
We have worked on developing better habits for ourselves and our relationship; going on walks, going to therapy both on our own and as a couple, reading instead of melting behind our screens and playing games... we are just learning how to be best friends again, and shockingly it's been easier than I expected.
I am not compromising my boundaries. I am not letting him disrespect my comfort, my feelings, or my time. I am also going to therapy to learn how to cope with this. I fully acknowledge that I do not need to forgive him, not until / if I am ready.
Things have been going well. A podcast by Mel Robbins helped me tremendously in processing this as well as what to do with moving forward (look it up on spotify, it brought me so much comfort). However, I am allowing myself the space and understanding that if I do not see the improvement, I have the means to leave completely.
I guess my reason for this post is because it can be very easy to get caught up in the "once a cheater, always a cheater" mindset. I'm not saying it doesn't exist; there are absolutely serial cheaters with no moral compass and try to put the blame on their partners. I've been on the receiving end of that absolutely heinous thinking. It's important to acknowledge the intricate nature of relationships, life, navigating mistakes, but also not to give up parts of yourself in the process. Not everything is worth working through, but also do not feel guilty for wanting to work on things. If it's worth it to you, it's okay. However, do not compromise your worth and what you deserve through it.
Be kind to yourself. Know your worth. Put yourself first. If you want to work on things, if it makes sense for you and your partner to do so, there's no shame in that.
However, don't be a fool twice. Give yourself the space and ability to leave if you need to. Do not let the pretty painted picture in your head be the only reason for staying. And just know that you did not deserve this; it is all about how broken, messed up, and irrational your partner's thinking was during that time. And if it's still shit, kick 'em to the curb.

Iām working on the start of a voxcel-like vehicle building game and Iām trying to emulate the build mode controls that From the Depths has. In case you havenāt played FTD, in build mode the camera is centred on the block you are placing and you control the block in the x,y and z axis only. I do have a semi-working solution for the camera using set position changes from inputs but I feel thereās a better way to do this using the inbuilt grids.
My current solution can be workable but the worst part about it at the moment is how I want to set the forward movement of the block relative to the which direction the camera is facing. I.e. if the camera is facing mainly down the z axis (angle of camera < 45 degrees from global position forward) forward and back inputs control movement along the z axis. Or in other words I want to restrict movement so that it only aligns with a 3d coordinate. At the moment I have an if statement for each direction which feels inefficient.
Any help would be appreciated thanks

this just happened earlier today, for context heās 18M and iām 20F and we met through a groupchat of our mutual friends, we were talking and he was nice at first but would very quickly start lovebombing me (saying iām the perfect girl for him, telling me he loves me so much within the first few days of us talking, never-ending compliments, even bought me a game weād play together and told me heās had the ābest gaming sessions everā with me)
iāve never dated or had someone talk to me this way before so i was very flattered at first and tried reciprocating his words (though deep down it felt off to me, but i thought he was just being really sweet- i convinced myself i had feelings for him as well) - i hope i donāt sound daft saying this but i barely talk to guys in my life in general and so iāve never had this kind of situation before!
so about 2 weeks would pass, there would be a continuation of lovebombing and although i liked it at first i would eventually get tired of it and i knew i didnt have real feelings for him, though i didnt know how to reject him at first? but earlier today, he blocked me out of the blue (i think i just didnāt respond faster than heād hoped) and very quickly unblocked me trying to gaslight me and act like nothing happened and that immediately gave me the confidence to confirm i would reject him (because thats a weird thing to do lmao)
so i admitted to him i felt uncomfortable talking to him as i lost interest and that i didnāt have true feelings for him,and id also now prefer being by myself than to talk to other guys including him
and then he immediately began charging at me with insults! he was talking about how ābad i am for himā and called me sexist slurs which came out of nowhere š
i called him immature after that and i said im not sure why i even bothered to keep talking to him given his immaturity and i told him to grow up
i blocked him after that, then one of our mutual friends soon texted me about how this guy was venting to him about wanting to ākill himselfā nowā¦ but also that this guy was going on about how horrible i am as a person so this friend wanted to question me about it
i told my friend this only happened after i rejected him, and that i rejected him because i felt uncomfortable talking to him due to losing interest from all the lovebombing, his weird behaviour, as well as being put off by him insulting me after rejection, after he said all these nice things to me
my friend understood and is trying to convince this guy to just move on and get therapy
ngl i was concerned, i asked another one of my friends about wether or not this guy could be serious about ending his life and immediately she was like āhell noā after i told her about the excessive lovebombing which basically made him out to just be a manipulator
so now that im no longer in contact with him, i just feel like iām free from some chains that held me down, iām glad i didnt keep talking to him pretending like everything would be fine
TL;DR so i learned this guy is 100% just being manipulative and was manipulating me as soon as the lovebombing started (something i had never experienced before) and that him threatening to end his life was purely guilt tripping as well
iām so glad i rejected and blocked this guy because i cannot imagine myself in a serious relationship with someone like this!

Friday:
Showed up like 2 hours before Greta closed. I cut the line as usual. Funnily these two 10s (blonde and brunette) approached me to cut the line and then I flirted with them both, joked about how I basically did the same thing and how we're exactly the same š. Talked seductively with the brunette. They're loving my vibe. They gave me an alco cooler but I gave it to some other dudes who were nearby and started hyping him up when he was shot gunning. Those dudes were then hitting on them, but I paid 0 attention to them and brunette opened me again and then we went into the bar, I threw in a flying kiss to the brunette who kept eying me and left them. They were on their way to meet their friends.
Later, opened this pinoy chick who was by herself, she was like a 7 in looks. Her friends seem to have ditched her but this girl is like a replica of that Ukrainian chick 2 weeks ago. This time I left her the moment she didn't respond to my lead. It's funny tho since they are dtg to diff spots of the bar and the dance floor but they stay put there like a rock afterwards. So my fellow casters, how you feeling? I think this sub's a bit divided on if they like the consolidation and skill floor raising, or hate the simplification and skill ceiling lowering, but might as well make a topic on it. Personally? Trying to keep myself to the positive sides of things though I get it. Anyway let's jump on in.
BLM
Seems like they're attempting to destroy weirdo rotations. They want F4F4F4 Paradox F4F4F4 Despair Despacito, assuming the numbers work out that way (I mean hey they didn't for Paradox which at first glance seemed to be an attempt to force some rules in place).
Seems Paradox is always instacast now? This if true is most likely the largest skill floor raise of them all as dropping your AF would now require a hundred blunders instead of only a couple.
Also seems they want Convert to be streamlined into Flare Flare Despacito, assuming that's not a Job Trailer jank stupid rotation (personally I assume that Despair will not give 3 stacks so as to enforce their rotation).
Leylines can be brought to you. It is what it is.
Doesn't seem to me like they really fucked with Thunder that much if any. I imagine a lot of us were assuming that'd be a prime big game flow change potential, guess they're saving that for later or are extremely happy with how it works now (which is fair).
Since BLM seemed to attract a good portion of players who want a more difficult/reactive class (at least on reddit) I can see some of these changes being pretty negative. Personally I don't mind, but I guess I'm a dumb dumb. I think even the least practiced of BLMs will at the least be able to consistently get "the rotation" out so the major differences will probably be Leylines and APM usage.
RDM
The only really notable changes I'm seeing are ...
Manafication seems to act like a "123 Ready" button now with no affiliation with the elemental gauge anymore. This should raise the ceiling significantly in terms of not wasting mana or accidentally ending up with 100/100 which meant you didn't necessarily get a proc at the end.
There's seemingly a new finisher after Scorch -> Resolution. We don't know 100% for sure if you can do this new finisher outside of Manafication. Oddly it doesn't give any mana at all which does lead me to believe it's maybe not a cut and dry finisher. Edit - was pointed out this is just an oGCD, though maybe it's related to finishers IDK. Probably not.
That's basically it from the job trailer. Outside of expanding on the GCDs (Verquake and Vertwister?) I guess RDM is a pretty difficult job to change up since, outside of possible QoL changes/oGCDs it's pretty "complete."
SMN
Oh dear. This ... may be the most disappointing job in the entire job trailer, in my humble opinion. I'm not trying to be too negative but all I can really see is there's some kind of space Bahamut instead of Bahamut. It looks like the exact same job from EW right now except there's a different looking space Bahamut. Good god I hope I'm wrong about this but I really am not seeing anything new besides the animation swap of a space Bahamut.
I have always accepted EW SMN as what it is ... a very simple building block for the future. Nigh objectively one of if not the easiest DPS in the game right now and it looks to be the exact same in DT. I've actually always been okay with this! I try to look at the positive in things, and hey if it's simple and easy that means it's hard to fuck up. But they took something PRIME for expanding upon and didn't. I'm a bit shocked. Maybe the job trailer guys fucked up and there's key info not shown or maybe I'm a moron.
SMN stocks are down.
Pictomancer
I don't know what the FUCK is going on but it looks exciting and variable. While there's some light/dark/not-SAM-moon thing going on I think we won't really know until the media tour to the extent of how RNG/adaptive this is but it looks crazy. Will probably be a letdown if it's some kind of consistent rotation but even then it looks to elevate beyond just 123 123 spend spend 123 123 spend spend.
Edit - I've been informed Pictomancer is explained relatively well in the live letter, I have to digest it for a while before I can form coherent thoughts.
Personally I'm torn between which to level first, Pictomancer or BLM as of now. My excitement for RDM and SMN are relatively low, though I'll be using them if needed/wanted in raid settings of course.

I have fully got over my reddit drama so i'm gonna try to avoid commenting on reddit hashtag try to but if I have someone try to get my attention don't bother I won't respond even if I do decide to respond it would probably be a one time thing and now to say I can confirm I am a former victim of mental abuse I won't explain it in full details but I will explain what I had to go through when I was living with my grandmother I had to go through mental abuse I never felt safe in my grandmother's home my grandmother always yelled at me even when I did nothing wrong my grandmother was mentally abusive to me she constantly yelled at me even when I did nothing wrong she always believed any lies that was told about me like one example I can remember was on March break 2018 my uncle told my grandmother that I stole the school snacks when I was at my mom's house laying in her bed sick all throughout March break then when I turned 20 years old on July 15th 2019 my grandmother decided since i'm almost an adult she could use my credit card I didn't know I had to buy smokes and made me go in debt then in 2020 which I admit became a very bad year for me first on twitter and deviantart I got accused of defending a youtuber called Cryaotic second I decided to push myself at school due to how I took my teacher's words which I now realized that she didn't mean her words how she worded them my teacher told me if I don't try my hardest then I won't succecced in life which I took her words that if I don't try then I will never become anything in life so I spent all my high school year doing school work I took no breaks aside from washroom breaks but drinking water didn't seem important to me it got to the point where my teachers kept telling me that it was great that I'm refusing to give up on school work but you need to take a water break or else you're gonna dehydrate yourself they told me that everyday but it eventually got to a point where my teachers knew that I wasn't gonna get out of my seat and resolve to give me a water bottle everyday then one day I decided I didn't want to live with my grandmother anymore so I went to my mom crying to her saying things like mom I don't wanna live with my grandmother anymore she's mentally abusive I want to live with you which my mom responded to me saying sure you can live with me you're 20 now you're old enough to make your own decisions then when I went to my grandmother's house we got into a fight and argument and I made the mistake of telling my grandmother how I felt about her and my grandmother kicked me out of her house she stopped doing things for me the last thing I remember my grandmother doing for me was her taking me to the doctors when I twisted my ankle my grandmother didn't even celebrated my 21st birthday with me during July when my mother asked my grandmother if she had anything planned for my birthday cause my mother wanted to know which my grandmother responded nope I don't need to spirital signs that I was gonna lose someone on that day and I loss my great uncle then when my mom asked me if I was going to my great uncle's funeral and that my grandmother was gonna be there which I responded to my mom saying that I will go to my great uncle's funeral but I'm not talking to my grandmother which my mom responded to me saying that's fine Destiny that's your choice if you want to talk to your grandmother or not so I went to my great uncle's funeral I talked to my family members that went to my great uncle's funeral but my grandmother cause I wanted to stick to my word which I barely shed a tear at my great uncle's funeral which I believe is probably cause I spent all of my time greiving for my great uncle at home but that's all I have to say about myself plus to add if I I started out planning on just building a NAS to run Jellyfin or Plex but as I kept looking into things and remembering some things I realized what I wanted was more akin to a homelab setup. I figured this would be the best place to come for help.
Things I want to accomplish (eventually) with my homelab/network setup:
Another note, there would only be a max number 3 +/- 1 users at a time and plan on storing media at high quality (4K, high bit rate, etc) with lossless compression, preferring FOSS codecs like FLAC and AV1.
While my ISP sucks and has a local monopoly and provides sub gig speeds over copper coax, the network gear I already have and will include already has 2.5 Gb RJ45 ports so that's the minnimum connection speed I want to maintain.
I know this build will end up being expensive so I plan on buying the components piecemeal over time with the core components (CPU, motherboard, GPU) being the last components to acquire since they are the parts that see the most frequent generational improvements.

A storm will occasionally knock out power for a longer period of time in which case I'd like the homelab to power down before the UPS runs out of power. Just need the homelab, switch, modem, and routeaccess point to run on battery for those occasional short power outages. Would also like to have the coax surge protection also.

- Birds, 1 Stone? This is essentially a 2.5 gig (managed?) switch that is also a hardware firewall, right?
- I read that its better to run the firewall on dedicated hardware instead of in a VM (not clear on why) and since if I'm correct that this is essentially a managed switch it's more or less in line price wise with 2.5 gig managed switches and if I'm wrong unmanaged 2.5 gig switches are $100+ and building a dedicated pc for the firewall would cost about as much.
- OS Unraid Lifetime License
- Started out planning on using Fedora Server because I run Fedora on my Framework 16 and have become quite comfortable with it and Fedora is officially supported by Pi-hole. Also considered TrueNAS because I'm a fan of the FOSS philosophy but Unraid looks very polished and can implement what I want to do fairly easily.

Hi, i know there are loads of questions out there from frustrated parents that are having similar issues, but i can't seem to find the answer to my specific problem either in here or on the interwebs.
My son is 9 and I recently downloaded the Hogwarts Legacy PS5 game for him, but he's been blocked from playing it. When trying to open it, is says an Age Restricted block on screen.
I did have an age restriction set in Family Management/Parental Controls, along with other settings like Playtime Settings etc, but after getting this block for Hogwarts I set everything for his account to Age Level: Do Not Restrict, but nothing is allowing him to play Hogwarts on his account. He's been allowed to play the other games that are "deemed" to be for older kids (like the Spiderman games, for example), but there's nothing i can do to allow him to play Hogwarts! If i remember correctly, he had to request access to Spiderman which i was able to grant from the PlayStation App on my iPhone. This doesn't seem possible with Hogwarts
Am i missing something here? Is there a way around this (other than playing on my account which i want to avoid!) or something outside of Parental Controls that i'm missing?

I did have an age restriction set in Family Management/Parental Controls, along with other settings like Playtime Settings etc, but after getting this block for Hogwarts I set everything for his account to Age Level: Do Not Restrict, but nothing is allowing him to play Hogwarts on his account. He's been allowed to play the other games that are "deemed" to be for older kids (like the Spiderman games, for example), but there's nothing i can do to allow him to play Hogwarts! If i remember correctly, he had to request access to Spiderman which i was able to grant from the PlayStation App on my iPhone. This doesn't seem possible with Hogwarts
Am i missing something here? Is there a way around this (other than playing on my account which i want to avoid!) or something outside of Parental Controls that i'm missing?

Let me start this off by saying I had a PC custom built way back in January of 2023 and it worked flawlessly up until September of the same year. Eventually, my PC just started dying, I had weird artifacting problems, my resolution would change randomly and I'd get black blocks all over my screens for no reason, and along with this came a strange audio bug where audio would become oddly loud and scratchy(?? I am unsure of how to describe the sound, really, basically when some sort of explosion sound would play from anything, it would get really loud and make a scratchy sound). The worst issue, though, was the stutters. Consistently, every singel game I attempted to play, whether it be as graphically intense as RDR2, or as simply styled as Deep Rock Galactic. I would have horrible stutters happening constantly. I spent months troubleshooting this issue and testing various things, so many countless little adjustments and hardware tests over the months that I can't even begin to document them here. I ended up bringing this PC into multiple professionals, Best Buy, Micro Center (twice), and a local repair store. Every single time, I got my PC back and was told that there were no issues whatsoever. No stuttering or frame drops to be found, audio bug could not be replicated. Eventually, I gave up and made an entire new rig. To my horror, I plugged everything in to discover I am STILL having these horrible stutters and audio bugs. I have asked many people in online discords about these problems and have been through everything, as far as closing every single program and unplugging every peripheral I have on my setup and just running the bare-minimum and I still have the stuttering. I am so confused as to how this issue could possibly persist to a completely new PC, every single component is new, the installation was Win11 is new, even my activation code is new, *everything* is new except for my peripherals. I did replace my main monitor with a brand new one and the issue is still persisting so it's definitely not a monitor-related issue. I would appreciate any kind of help, and any information anyone needs to narrow it down, I am more than willing to fetch for you.

Apparently brutalize and stealth are the same thing except that brutalize makes more noise.
A captain I'm fighting is only immune to poison, and is "vulnerable to stealth" yet I tried to brutalize him from a rooftop twice but he blocked it both times. Im about to try regular stealth kill but I would really like someone to clear this up for me. the captains class was tank if that means anything.
The same thing literally happened with another captain too, the game says that he can be killed instantly with fire and my sword lights people on fire with every critical hit and I LITERALLY SAW THE CAPTAIN RUNNING as he was on fire but he only got halfway to death before it went out. I feel like my game is bugging out on me or something

If Ubisoft was to ever release one more and final update to this game and part of it included new Operators, I think this is a list of the current roster of Y9S1.3 that could fit into the game.
Below is a table that lists how each Operator would function within R6 Extraction.
Let me know what you think of my list, I would love to see these operators implemented into R6 Extraction if it would ever happen but it might overwhelm the roster with how many choices there would be.

Why were they not put in?
Fenrir: I felt like Fenrir wouldn't work because his gadget releases a gas that causes fear and hallucinations to those who inhale it, however I didn't feel like it would work on the ArchƦans as they are not human (as far as I'm concerned, I don't keep up with lore)
Solis: I feel like Solis would do the same thing Pulse and IQ did but at once, and that would defeat the purpose of both of those operators, there would have to be another use for her to make her viable and be a third scanner.
Maverick: I didn't really see much of a use with his gadget other than to stealthily open rotates, lines of sight or even destroy nests without sound (though that is what takedowns are for).
Sens: I felt like Sens would be more of a hinderance to their team than an asset as it would block off vision for their teammates but at the same time, removing vision for ArchƦans, especially ranged ones. Could possibly pair up with Warden or Glaz but overall, didn't seem like a good fit.
