Looking for some feedback/advice.
So I'm considering a role as a biz dev rep in commercial construction for a GC in a specialized niche. They are essentially a start up sister company of a well known brand in their niche. They can do design, development and construction at the national level.
It's a brand new position and they've never had a "sales" guy before. My background is in real estate adjacent sales (inside sales, recruiting, residential land acquisitions and development) for the same employer over 9 years but I was always the first sales guy in each of the three business units I worked in so that part doesn't scare me.
I am however having trouble conceptualizing what realistic OTE and KPIs would look like. They want someone who excels at cold calling so that's a ✅ for me. Besides looking for opportunities with large players in their niche, I have a feeling that the majority of my time should be focused on cold calling architectual design firms and developers to try and get on their bid list when a project comes up. And of course networking on LinkedIn. But outside of that I'm not sure where I would place the bulk of my focus.
With their pay structure ($40K-$60K base + 1/2% of gross contracts) I'd likely need to get the opportunity to bid on 20 projects a month if their bid hit ratio isn't any better than 10% and their average deal size ends up being on the lower end.
Does 20 bids a month sound remotely realistic in the GC world?
Are architects generally open to new bidders?
Bonus points of anyone has any great advice on how to scrape Google for approved site plans or knows of a company that sells data for city or county plans in the works.

You can go to school online and not even leave your home. Take a class here and there. Go to school at 3:00 am on a Wednesday or 4:00 pm on a Saturday.

Some states offer free college tuition for the first two years. There are other charges like room and board, textbooks and transportation (which will need to be paid for out of pocket).

We decided we needed to move when we noticed that the community we lived in did not provide the support we needed to have a better life.
We wanted to move to a location that offered exposure to better healthcare, health insurance, housing and paratransit services.
So?
Make a list of items that are important to you and your family. Rank them in order of importance.

(3) Paratransit / Transportation

Another thing you should consider adding to the list? Check to see what type of transportation services are offered.
You never have to worry about parking, blizzards, running out of fuel or parking meter money, taffic or anything else that would be a hindrance.
If your community has bus routes? You might have paratransit services available to you.
The fair is reasonable (much better than ubers, taxis or something else).
You do not need to be in a wheelchair for paratransit services.
The driver will walk you to and from the door of the building (your home and the appointment and vice versa).
You can use the services for anything you want to, such as vists to:

library visits	school events

museums	volunteer work

Anything you can think of - it is such a blessing.
I have lived in areas that had paratransit and areas that did not offer paratransit. It makes a huge difference in your sense of independence to be able to attend appointments and go places you need to. Without the interference of worrying about reliable transportation.

Curious if anyone else has had this experience. I'm a wedding photographer, on the new side and marketing on Zola, and I had been utilizing the "invite couples" service for nearly six months now and had great success with it up until around March and April; booking on average 5-6 weddings a month (while my prices were a little lower). I attribute this success to being consistent and prolific with my "inviting" couples to look at my profile and utilizing personable interactions to compliment my style of photography. I noticed a a bit of drop in the number of inquiries I received once I raised my pricing some in February, which I anticipated and was prepared for, but was still getting enough inquiries through Zola that it still felt like a reasonable trade off. I also recognize I was have a high rate of success compared to many other photographers on the site, whose profiles state they've only booked 10-12 total.
Around the start of the new year Zola increased their unlimited membership pricing from $60 for three months to something like $120 on auto renewal. That had been a bit surprising but also understandable, and I wasn't at all deterred from the service since I'd been getting such great traffic and rate of bookings from it. That all changed after decided to go ahead and commit to a year long, annual membership, paying $540 in March. Totally worth it. However, within about a week or so the nature of the Invite Couple feature changed from having constant replenishing of potential couples to invite to being limited first to 20 couples a day (many of whom weren't applicable due to budget, date availability, and additional travel costs). I noticed an immediate drop off in responses. Then a few weeks later the number of provided lead invites further fell to about 7 or 8 on average a day, now with nearly half of them being non-viable leads. My traffic flow utterly halted, and the few inquiries I do get are generally not ones I invited and are for dates I'm already marked in Zola as booked for (something Zola's search results presumably would parse out since you can filter for that in the search results).
I have inquired with customer service what the cause for this very impactful shift has been and their response was that they were improving lead results for both couples and vendors, and suggested my experience and use of the platform should be better now since the fewer leads I would be getting would be better suited for my services and availability. After explaining how that wasn't the case I've started to be ignored. I've brought this concern up to other vendors I've met in person who are on Zola to see if they've experienced something similar, and none of them know what I'm talking about.
I asked Zola if this was a site-wide policy change impacting all vendors equally and they haven't responded. As of my last message to them my regular daily dispensing of lead invites has stopped and my "prospects" tab is empty.
Open to the possibility I am over reacting. I'm also afraid I've been too much of a pain in their side by raising concerns and I'm being retaliated against. -shrug- Curious what you all think.

This might be long but..
Two weeks ago my boyfriend was in a pretty bag accident, totaled his car, pretty bad whiplash and was out of work for 7 days.
He was at a 4 way stop except east-west did not have a stop sign. He was going straight and stopped, he saw no one coming either way and drove ahead. When looking to the right there is a ton of trees as well as the road is curved and supposed to be 30 mph. When he went straight, a huge Escalade came crashing into him. Car spun out and airbags deployed, anti freeze leaking everywhere. The witness behind him told him he saw him stop and he was good it was the other person.
He's in the ambulance and now the cop is writing him a citation on site, for violation of a stop sign, without speaking to him and only talking to the other people who hit him and the witness, apparently the witness told him something separate.
Couple days go by, insurance quoted his car, he's tried to get an attorney but they won't let him because the officer says it's his fault. He's very direct on the part that he yielded and stopped, and there was not anyone there.The other family now has gotten an attorney and coming for him and his insurance. At this point, he's fed up, he feels like he shouldn't be getting a citation since he did stop, the witness there is NO info on this said person. The cop even gave him the wrong case number when giving him the info because the same situation happened about an hour prior. The cop stated this is a really bad intersection and this situation wreck happens all the time, the department has complained as well as the people who live near it.
We are looking for anyway he can fight this. I'm aware and he is too that he could be partially at fault but he still wants to fight this as he knows there was no one there and the way the road is he had NO way of knowing.
All attorneys are saying they can't help because he's "at fault". what can we do? who do we call? I need actual advice please.

From time to time I am obsessed with some niche band, game or watever, that has no merch. So I have to create it myself.

1. What are the sites you have personally tried and that did not suck? I had to spend some amount of money in my country to identify the only company that print on a good t shirts not on some polyester shit that I cant wear for longer then 1 minute

I don't think I have ADHD, however, I've been to two therapists, and they've told me that I don't have it. To be honest, those sessions have been useless for me.

After a virtual interview with the search committee about 7 weeks, had an on-site campus interview 4 weeks ago to the day. Sent my physical thank yous in the mail the day after and have heard nothing from anyone at the college since that interview.
Emailed 2 weeks ago the head of the search committee politely asking for an update. To no response. Read online that this college might send out physical offerejection letters to candidates? (Is this a thing in higher ed?) They never mentioned that during interviews.
Are they instructed not to communicate with candidates? Is this a sign that the offer is probably not coming? Would it be okay to email again the head of the committee, or maybe try reaching out someone else, like the hiring manager?
Knowing these things "take awhile" from reading other posts, however this seems unusually long... Thanks!

So I barely know much about swing weight except that "typically" women are in the C's and the men are in the D's (D0-D2). Well, I found a site where you can input the weight and fulcrum length and it'll calculate the swing weight. Well I've changed the grips on my irons and down, then I cut down my driver and 3W to get them more in line with the PGA average and not the extra inch that the manufacturer are putting on these days... anyways, point of me saying that is that my swing weights are ALL over the place.
1) How likely are the following weights screwing up any kind of consistency I have (or don't have)? Are they making things harder?
2) Should I try to get them all the same and then go from there?
3) My favorite clubs are my hybrids (C9 and D0) and my wedges (D1-D2). So I'm thinking I like "heavier" feeling clubs. Should I maybe bump everything up to D1 and adjust from there?
I was thinking adding lead tape to the clubs that need weight.

So earlier today I saw all the articles coming in about the fire at Novo nordisk's factory and got so stressed out. I had a work thing and had to put my phone down. But all I could think about was that this solution to a life long battle would literally go up in smoke. I got so sad and felt so heavy. I only took my first shot this week and now it felt like it had all been a vain dream to ever feel comfortable in my own body.

It seems like it will all be alright and the production won't be affected. I'm so relieved it's hard to compare. But this really was a wake up call for me. I realized how important this is to me. But also how willing I actually am to fight for a change. And to keep it in the long run. This was a awful couple of hours, but in some way I think it can be good for me in the long run.

I mod video games frequently, I am similar on how to import models, modify models and such for various purposes. But I am still really new to making new models form scratch. But I tried looking everywhere for several hours last night, but couldn't find anything in the end. The closest I got was a different modeling site I had to pay for (and it was rather expensive) and nothing else. ):
I am trying to take a regular 2d Image, and make it 3D. Basically just stretching it out on the side, like a cardboard cutout kinda. I managed to try and convert the image into a "Trace Image to Grease Pencil" then "Converting To" a "Bézier Curve" But this leaves it with an outline on the inside of the object. So to fix this I tried removing all detail and such inside of the image, by making the image just one plain color (like black or white) and then inverting it, so in the image all you could see was the plain outline. And THAT WORKED, YET NOW, I am dealing with just a plain simple outline of the object

I am trying to make it look closer to a flat cutout, like a cardboard model for video games. I could manually connect each and every Vertice to make faces between them all manually. But that just takes a long time and is a LOT of work. There has to be an easier way, right?

The 348th anniversary of the Great Falls Massacre will be marked with a Day of Remembrance event on Saturday, as well as a commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the reconciliation ceremony held to establish friendship and trust between once-warring cultures.
The event, set for 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Great Falls Discovery Center, will feature tribal elder Liz ColdWind Santana Kiser and Roger Longtoe Sheehan, chief of the Elnu Abenaki Tribe, as honored guests.
“It’s kind of a like a celebration of life,” said David Brule, president of the Nolumbeka Project, the nonprofit putting on the event. It will take place on the lawn behind the Discovery Center, weather permitting. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to the building’s Great Hall. It is free to attend and there will be light refreshments.
Brule said the event is held as close as possible to May 19, the actual anniversary of the event also known as the Great Falls Massacre. Santana Kiser is the tribal historic preservation officer for the Chaubunagungamaug band of the Nipmuck people. She is also a member of the Battlefield Grant Advisory Committee, as is Sheehan. Santana Kiser’s and Sheehan’s ancestors were affected by the massacre.
Santana Kiser, who lives in Worcester, said she intends to deliver a remembrance speech and touch on the lives lost in the attack.
“I want to talk a little bit about why we’re here,” Santana Kiser said.
She also wants to stress the Connecticut River’s importance and the responsibility of all to prevent atrocities.
“This is a part of history that has been hidden for a very long time,” she said.
Sheehan, a singer living in Westminster, Vermont, said he plans to perform a few songs at the event and will be available to chat and answer questions. The yearly Day of Remembrance is, in some ways, a continuation of the reconciliation ceremony held in 2004, when the town of Montague and members of the Narragansett tribe formally recognized the 1676 conflict. Brule explained that on May 18, 1676, Capts. William Turner and Elizur Holyoke left Hatfield with 150 mounted infantrymen and arrived in Greenfield, near where Factory Hollow Road is now. All the men dismounted their horses, crossed the river and waited until dawn on May 19 before launching a surprise raid on an Indigenous camp consisting of non-combatant women, children and elderly people.
“[Colonists] just began firing into wigwams and chased many of the people into the river, and they were swept over the falls and drowned,” Brule said.
He said the particularly striking aspect is that the raiders did not attack camps filled with soldiers of allied Indigenous nations. It is estimated that 250 to 300 Indigenous people died in the assault.
Brule mentioned many of the colonists were inadequately trained “farm boys” put at a disadvantage by their superiors. He explained many lingered too long in the enemy camp, creating enough time for a counterattack from the Indigenous coalition made up of Nipmuck, Abenaki, Wampanoag, Narragansett and other tribes. The counterattack spanned from the site of the raid to Deerfield.
“It was a running battle of 7 miles,” Brule said. He also said the colonists were unfamiliar with the terrain, and the more experienced Indigenous fighters lay in wait and launched ambushes along the retreat, killing 48 to 50 colonists, including Turner.
Brule said the initial raid occurred just months before the end of King Philip’s War, which concluded by August. He said the raid was likely revenge for Indigenous people stealing cattle from Hatfield. Still, Brule stressed that he always tells white people they should not feel guilt over what has happened to Native peoples in the past.
“It is not for us any longer a day of mourning,” he said, adding that the tide of history has changed. “And Native people are ... feeling that they can step forward and be understood as part of a fabric of the communities. But they have, for a long time, stayed under the radar, really. And times have changed.”

I’m a married father in my early 30s and have played the game since day one of WZ1. Played a lot of Verdansk and got onto to the Rebirth train kinda late in WZ1 but got completely hooked.
I play with the same 2-3 guys every session with 70% of the games being duos, and then the rest trios and quads when everyone is online. Resurgence modes are all we play so obviously we were so hyped when Rebirth came back.
We dabbled in Ranked last season on FK because we hate the Vondel map rotations, and we noticed something.
Ranked felt easier. Like way easier than regular pubs. We got up to Platinum III or Diamond I and it still felt easier 60% of the time.
For the past 2 weeks me and my duo have mainly played regular Rebirth/FK/Vondel rotation and I have been in the biggest blender of my life. I mean to the point where I genuinely felt like I was in the twilight zone. I’d wind up with 4k damage and 5 kills. On a good match. Constantly losing 1v1s and 1v2s, never been able to finish a down, game crashing, and always zigging when I should have zagged.
Now I’m not a super sweat by any means. I’m a solid 1.5-2.0 KD player, but we all know how it feels when you’re thinking to yourself “I’m too good of a player for it to be going like this. WTF am I doing wrong”. I was fully tilted and almost lost all motivation to play until last night.
Last night we jumped back into ranked and got 3 back to back wins and I almost got my first 20 bomb. Looking back I should have noticed I was on 18 and just full send the last team and picked up 2 instead of just 1 kill. My overall ranked KD is a 1.77 and my 10 game KD was a 2.3 for the night.
I really wish COD allowed the tracking by 3rd party sites again so we could see what lobbies we were getting but they felt absurdly botty for several games in a row, and we are at Platinum II. And this isn’t the first time we’ve felt that ranked at that level was easier.
Curious to hear what others think about their ranked experience and when you kinda noticed that “wall” where you think you’ve reached the ceiling of what kind of teams you can be competitive against.

I called out a girl (Taiwanese-Australian) for being a racist on Tiktok and then she fake cried as a response. She even made a video saying that if you agree with me, a Japanese guy, you are a weeb. Which sounds pretty racist.
Anyway, because of that I got tons of racist comments, and one of them was from a Malaysian guy in his late 30s. After blocking him, he then left the same racist comment (saying "I'm faking my accent") on my video:

I decided this was a good chance to promote my video on here but... I also wanted to say that if someone leaves a racist comment online, they could either be an insecure teen or an insecure adult that's still not OK with his race even in his late 30s. It's nothing to worry about. That being said, it would be nice if social media sites do take racism against mixed people more seriously.

I purchased a 2023 Ford Transit Connect (cargo version) a little over a month ago. I'm needing to get it registered and would like to avoid going to the DMV if it is possible. In my state (Arkansas) you can register online if your vehicle is a "passenger car". Was curious if mine would qualify. From DMV site - "Customers can only register passenger cars online, this includes personal cars, pickup trucks, vans, and motor homes."

They called me and were telling me about how they could probably would be able to take off all my discrepancies. Wound up charging me $275 to do the work on my credit. They also had signed me up for Standard Scores at $25 a month. A month goes by and another credit program I have reported to me that my name and info is on 90 websites. And I never use my middle name but I used it for credit sage and that's how my name came up on those sites. That's how I know it was them. Then they go to auto charge me $99 monthly. All of a sudden I get an email that I signed up for a porn site. Then I get a text that I signed up for moneylion. I'm about to call them now and put my credit on freeze to. And it's not like I even have good credit lol
Stay away from credit sage! Sold my info. Better off doing it yourself.
