Hello everyone. I am currently in the process of upgrading my art studio set up. I am an oil painter and I currently use my MacBook for reference to paint from and edit photos and videos with, but it is no longer meeting my needs. I am planning on purchasing the M2Pro Macmini with 34GB RAM to handle my use of photo and video editing, but now I will need to consider finding a comparable monitor to use along with it. Obviously the Apple Studio Display would be the best monitor to accompany it... But I am already spending a pretty penny on the Macmini, and am not sure I can swing the additional cost. It's actually on sale right now at BestBuy for $1299, which is very tempting. As an oil painter, color and clarity are important to me (as well as brightness/glare factor since I am using a north lit window most of the day to illuminate my easel). That said, can I get away with a $500ish 4K display instead of the Apple Studio Display? And if so, which do you recommend based off of my needs?

My 6-8ish year old Great Dane rescue has become progressively reluctant to go outside in my yard to potty. I have had her for 3 years, same yard same house, so no environmental changes. When she does go outside, she stands on the porch. If I can get her off of the porch, she walks right along the side of the house and will go potty in my neighbor's yard. It's like she is afraid of my yard or grass. She will happily go potty when we go on walks but obviously that's not ideal. I have 2 other dogs and they go outside in my yard with no issues. I have tried giving her high value treats out in the yard, walking around with her on a leash, waiting it out. I am trying to be patient but I am at my wits end.

My experience with Michelin in a complicated one. Having gone to one, two, and three Michelin star restaurants across the globe, I've seen Michelin do some great things for restaurants, but I've also seen them bring the demise of others.
Because it's quite apparent what good things come from being highlighted by Michelin, this post is more focused on some of my criticisms of the Michelin guide, and why I think the current structure of Michelin should be changed.
Maintaining "Michelin's definition" of the gold standard..
There have been a ton of amazing restaurants given a one star review. Restaurants don't even need to be "fine dining" to be given a Michelin star, as highlighted by some of the cheap eats that have received a one star review.
But a one star review, can at times, be a curse for restaurants. Often, restaurants receive one star reviews got there by showcasing there strengths. A passion for food and creativity, a desire to share culture or tradition, or an expression of a personal brand of art.
When a restaurant receives a one star review, two things happen.

1. They begin to get huge influx of customers. Initially.
2. They start to be compared to other one star restaurants, sometimes even two or three star.

The majority of the time, when a restaurant receives a one star review, the rapidly get a ton of customers wanting to try them. And in just a few months, they start to raise prices. Because money can change people.
And eventually, they start to act as more of a "tourist attraction", and start to lose the original loyal clientele that brought them to where they were in the first place.
Secondly, they begin to compare themselves to the standards of other "higher" Michelin star restaurants.
And that typically means focusing more on a particular brand of fine dining. Hyper-attentive service, an overuse of "micro complex food"(emulsions, purees, colorful vegetation). Just to name a few.
I've seen this unfortunately happen time and time again.
If your customers wanted to go to a Eleven Madison Park, they'd travel to New York. But don't turn your restaurant into a chain of fine dining. You'll start to lose the allure, and it starts to feel like the routine of Mcdonalds or Capital Grille.

Back in 2021 when I was a college student I met this guy call let's say "Timmy" my mates was trying to get me and Timmy together Timmy is a M16 I was M17 back then.
We started dating in November the 24th 2021 it was amazing for 3 months but then he started to be an ass to me told me to help him with his situation and I did but at the end he didn't even asked to help me out with my situation.

Forward to March 2022 it was my 18th birthday family comes over and then "Timmy" show up I told him to leave at 1pm so my family can come over to spend time with me but he didn't so he decided to go to my own parent's and say "I got told that I should be leaving at 1pm" but my parents asked me he can stay a while-(let's get this straight he has been controlling me to do things and forced me to kiss him even I didn't wanna do)
I was so uncomfortable when Timmy stayed he played innocent all day on my birthday then out of nowhere he said "so are you and you're parents coming down tomorrow to meet my family"
As always my parents said yes Tomorrow comes we went to a pub to meet Timmy's parent's The music was way to loud and I wasn't a outside person but he kept on getting my hands and put it on his shoulder even though I didn't want to.
For few more months later in May I had enough of Timmy so I dumped him then decided to be a drama queen and got all of my mates at college against me and why I shouldn't have dumped him he was too clingy and lazy he only cares about himself but no one else. In my summer holidays Timmy non stop texting me that I should meet up and I told him I have other plans 5 minutes later he messaged me that he was coming over to give me my plushie that he got for me I wasn't in the mood to see him at all I just wanted to spend time with my family in my summer holidays Then 4 days later I did see him and spend time with him..
A month later in August I had enough before I dumped him on the 24th it was our 10 months anniversary being together then I got intell about he was talking to another guy and that's when I found out he was actually cheating on me before I dumped him
I dumped his ass..but it got even worse In September Timmy wanted revenge and spread two fake rumors about me one of them was I apparently called one of my friend a slu# but I haven't and I knew I don't say those things to anyone of my friends.
Timmy made my life miserable at college he even got his mates to bully me and turn all of my new friends and my closet friends against me.
I also forgot to mention he emotional blackmail me when I was still with him.
He kept on bullying me so I told all the teachers about the situation and they are going to deal with it.
Fast forward in 2023 Timmy and his mates has been trying to follow me where I was going. Then when I finally finished college Timmy has been cyber bullying me for two years
And now 2024 I found out he still has feelings for me I told him "I don't have anything feelings for you anymore"
