Warp Drive:
1990 NASA paper by A.C. Holt (major co-authors of his other papers are Eric Davis and Puthoff). Describes a warp drive capable craft using all of the juicy SDI tech such as:
high temperature superconductors, micro-engineered materials, compact superconducting magnets, free-electron lasers, high power, tunable microwave systems (masers), quasicrystals, plasmoid generators.
Author tries to invoke string theory and Higgs particles, but says there's not enough data about them yet. He calls the warping "Space Time Field Disengagement with Field Bias" (Table 1). The only reference he provides on this is for the fusion reactor needed. That fusion paper looks really interesting from the players involved, here.
As far as I understand these warp drives from the SDI era, they were dealing with altering the virtual particle density by polarizing the vacuum. Get yourself a very strong E/B field, and you've now biased space so that the virtual electron-positrons are more likely to pop into existence with greater lifetimes before annihilating. By affecting this lifetime, you can then push off of this biased field by directing the electrons one way and the positrons the other way. Julian Schwinger was key to the development of this SDI era warp tech. I gave an APEC presentation on it here and then a more recent updated version with a bit less jargon here
Let's just look at a few of those words in context of when this paper was written.

• Quasicrystals were only first created in '84, with the nobel awarded to those researchers in 2011. Also, Ed Fouche described the use of quasicrystals in the TR-3B.
• Masers were investigated during the antigravity research craze in the 50s.
• FELs precipitated the nuclear detonation version of the Excalibur laser, and were used extensively in Friedwardt Winterberg's SDI fusion designs.
• Compact superconducting magnets were designed during SDI for energy storage (SMES). These were designed in the SDI program to be able to handle [initially] 0.5GW, only to then surpass the GW barrier in the last year of SDI.

I highly recommend any serious alternative propulsion researchers thoroughly investigate what was achieved by the US during the 80s. This was a time for unlimited spending in R&D and SDI resulted in over 5000 patents made publicly available for the betterment of medicine/computation/optics etc..
It's worth mentioning the hypothesis that these technologies like nuclear lasers on flying TR-3B spacecraft were being developed to fight outside threats, rather than the Russians.
Author lists some very precise details therein. He mentions only two stars in this paper, Alpha Centari and Epsilon Bootes (114LY away, pg14). So of course I had to look up why he calls out Bootes. He [weakly] claims that star is similar to Sol. So I did some digging on what makes this star special and kept coming up with Reptilians, but the earliest source I could find was 1995.
Aliens:
Then I found a book from 2011 that talks about Tesla noticing radio signals from Epsilon Bootes. Cross-referenced that with a NASA(-ish) paper saying similar 'off-world signals' discovered by Tesla that he thought were coming from Mars.
Lastly, here's a TIME magazine article for an off-world signal that was discovered in 1973. Signal was claiming to be coming from an alien satellite from Epsilon Bootes that was orbiting the moon and was saying that the satellite was 11,000yrs old. A much better written version told by the guy who found the signal (2nd link) where he specifically states it wasn't coming from the 'Black Knight' satellite and that he'd been directed where to look for these signals by a Stanford Professor. I noticed Arcturus (Tall Whites star from Charles Hall) mentioned whenever I tried looking up Bootes, but that star is only 37LY away and Holt specifically mentions the Epsilon Bootes star at 114LY. From the different Alien docs I could find, it sounds like a bunch of different species might be located in that cluster, reptilians/tall whites/nordics.
Additionally, a bit more digging today reveals that Epsilon Bootes is actually about 200LY away, not 114LY, and it's a binary system that's quite different than Sol. So Holt may have been way off (either accidently or on purpose?)
The star which happens to be most similar to Sol in the Bootes cluster is Muphrid (Eta Bootes) at 37LY away, which is imperceptibly close to Arcturus. As far as I recall, Charles Hall's description of pointing at Arcturus for the Tall White's star resulted in the Teacher saying that it wasn't their star but it was very close. This makes it sound like the Tall White's star is more likely Eta Bootes.

2017 came and went with no notable missions. It was a busy year for NASA on the ground, however. New contracts and buildings, the re-election of Obama, and the announcement that the ISS would be retired in 2028. After many a few appeals to congress, NASA gained continued funding for both Orion and a future joint space station with the ESA and JAXA. Boeing’s Starliner was delayed into 2019, and the Crew Dragon would not be ready until 2020. So it was that Orion 3 would be the biggest mission of 2018. And it was no wonder why. Humanity would be returning to the Moon for the first time since Apollo 17, and NASA was ready to promote it.
The mission was a cultural milestone in itself – it was the first time NASA would stream an Orion mission in its entirety online, and it became popular for large internet celebrities and news hosts to talk about the upcoming mission. They would be paid, of course. For the first few steps, whoever would take them, a combined audience of ~1,000,000,000 would be watching them.
Astronaut selection was tricky. NASA needed to choose a crew that had experience, but were limited in that not many of their astronauts were both experienced flight-ready. Most of NASA Astronaut Group 19 were retired (or about to), but one stuck out to the Astronaut Office: Christopher Cassidy. Much like Wiseman, he was a former Chief of the Astronaut Office, and had two flights under his belt, both Shuttle and Soyuz. He would be assigned as Mission Commander. Another that stuck out was James Dutton. He was a pilot aboard the Shuttle, and endeared to the former shuttle personnel and many NASA employees. He was selected as pilot. Robert S. Kimbrough, another Shuttle astronaut, was selected as flight engineer. Jack D. Fischer was selected as payload specialist for the mission, rounding out the crew with three NASA Astronaut Group 19 astronauts and one NASA Astronaut Group 20 member.
During training, ideas for callsigns were thrown around. NASA wanted something symbolic of their progress and the future, politics would drive them to name it something patriotic, while the public would be largely indifferent. Except a minority: the Star Trek fans. Much like with the Space Shuttle of late, they had campaigned for Orion to be named after the USS Enterprise. In the end, it would be left up to the crew to decide the names. And you can likely guess what they chose. So it was the Orion capsule for this mission would be named Enterprise, and the Altair to be named Polaris. After a long eight months of training, production, processing, paperwork, calculations and other assorted work, the mission was ready. The Ares I was rolled out to the pad, with it Polaris, and the booster launched half past three in April 2018.
But the successful launch of Polaris coincided with the news of the contracting of the Space Exploration Vehicle (SEV), to none other than JAXA. It would be complete by around 2022, meaning that it would be utilized on a mission no earlier than Orion 6. In exchange for this, a seat on Orion 4 was given. The SEV would be landed by a separate Altair lander. Contracting for the non pressurized Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV) also fell to JAXA, this time being light enough to be unfolded from one of Altair’s cargo quadrants in its descent stage. The LRV, which had the majority of its work done, would be ready by 2020. This meant it would fly on Orion 4.
As Polaris orbited, Enterprise was rolled out to the pad. Much like Orion 2, there would be a large crowd to view the launch. Present was former President John McCain, Vice President Joe Biden, Chief of Staff Dennis McDonough, Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin, three cabinet members, 30 mayors, 21 governors, 55 ambassadors, and 350 congressmen. A viewing public of almost 150,000 and 2,000 media representatives and personalities also attended.
After final check ups on Polaris, a go-ahead signal was given from Houston. Five minutes later, the launch countdown began. Liftoff began at 2:33 PM EST May 12, 2018. Three minutes into the flight, Kimbrough’s vitals flatlined. After a short panic from the flight surgeon, Kimbrough reported back that the sensors had failed. The fault was recorded, and the flight continued. By 2:41, Enterprise had entered its parking orbit.
For about an hour the systems were monitored, checked, and checked again. Polaris and Enterprise showed nominal performance, and procedure for relighting the EUS’s engines began.
After a short burn, Enterprise began its approach towards Polaris. After its approach, Enterprise circled her lander to check for damage or any potential issues. After this, Dutton maneuvered and docked with Polaris. Cassidy and Fischer opened Polaris’s main hatchway and conducted an inspection of the systems. After a short meal, the EUS fired its last burn to put Enterprise and Polaris in a Trans-Lunar Injection (TLI). The next three days were mostly monitoring systems and conducting small course adjustments with the RCS thrusters. On May 15, Enterprise fired up its engines to insert both it and Polaris into lunar orbit.
The selected landing site was Oceanus Procellarum, a few miles off of the Apollo 12 site. Oceanus Procellarum was chosen for its relative flatness, as well as to more thoroughly inspect the region. Apollo 12 didn’t cover all bases, so Orion 3 hoped to refine the data on the site and see how the new systems reacted.
The crew were allowed to sleep, and on May 16 orbital operations began. A small telescope was installed on Enterprise to conduct surface observations. The telescope was nowhere near powerful enough to see Polaris when it landed, but it could help scope out the area. Cassidy and Kimbrough were selected for landing on the Moon, and they spent their time in orbit powering the systems and adjusting to the lander interior. May 16 also included one of the most important experiments on the mission: sunflower bulbs were carried on board, with a small amount of dirt.
This was carried in a special compartment on board Altair, but the dirt and bulb itself were carried on Enterprise. The experiment, creatively titled the Lunar Bulb Germination Experiment (LBGE), would germinate the sunflower bulbs on the lunar surface, and note any differences.
Other experiments on the mission were the Altair Specialized Experiments Package (ASEP), which included experiments ranging from solar wind to passive and active seismology. A third and equally important experiment was the Lunar Deployable Payload Module (LDPM), which would simulate the deployment of the LRV for Orion 4. These experiments were stored in the side panels of Polaris, which could be pulled down for access.
It was a lot for the first mission, but both Mission Control and the crew were prepared and confident. Overall, this experiment package would consume the majority of the seven EVAs for the astronauts. The remaining time was spent collecting samples and resting.
The landing was scheduled for around 7:00 PM EST that day. Cassidy and Kimbrough entered Polaris and gave a salute to Fischer, and sealed off from Enterprise and undocked. After clearing a distance, the deorbit burn began. Minutes later, and under almost a billion viewers’ scrutiny, Polaris touched down. The first EVA would follow a few minutes later. Cassidy stepped into the airlock, depressurized, and looked out upon the lunar surface. Viewing peaked around this time, much to NASA’s Public Relations Offices’ delight. Cassidy descended the ladder down to the lunar surface, and stepped onto the lunar surface.
“With these steps, we begin anew the exploration of our nearest neighbor, in peace and with hope for all mankind.” The immortal words by Cassidy. He looked around the surface, and waited for Kimbrough to descend. Kimbrough’s words were not as majestic - “Looks just like White Sands.” After some remarks and looking around, the two received a call from none other than President Obama, who congratulated them on the mission. Work began shortly after.
First was the deployment of the American Flag on the lunar surface. Then was the deployment of the ASEP. First was the RTG, which would power the experiments. The command station was set up with the Ion and Passive Seismometer a few feet away. After the rest were set up, the Active Seismic Experiment (ASE) began. It was a simple thumper-geophone combination, and had good results. After the experiments were tested, the crew returned to Polaris and had their rest period.
May 17 began with freeze-dried breakfast and the second EVA. This EVA would set up the Radio Antenna Stand Test Article (RASTA). RASTA was a tripod stand with a small suite of communication instruments and a dummy satellite dish. RASTA would aid the development of the Farside Radio Observing Scanning Telescopes (FROST) for Orion 5. After this was another round certifying the ASEP was functional, sample collection began. The remainder of Day 2 was checking systems and deploying the more time-consuming ASEP systems. The Solar Wind Experiment (a large sheet on a tall pole) was also set up. In orbit, Dutton fired Enterprise’s engines, altering the orbit just enough to align the capsule for docking once Polaris lifted off. Fischer did surface observations, and took many photos of the lunar far side. The last activity for Day 2 was unpacking a small retroreflector, which was placed not far off.
Day 3 would be more sample collecting and exploring the landing site. Near the site was a shallow crater about fifteen meters across. Cassidy descended the crater wall, which Houston considered a risky move. After gaining his footing, he picked up a few soil and rock samples before climbing out. It became evident this move on Cassidy’s part was worth the risk, as the samples collected would help expand knowledge and study on lunar asteroid impacts. After this Cassidy and Kimbrough returned to Polaris to store the sample bags and process data. After a routine checkup on LBGE, the crew called it a day.
Day 4 meant the deployment of the LDPM. After wrangling the pulley on the panel, Kimbrough removed the panel and, with help from Cassidy, pulled the pallet out. The pallet itself was ten feet long, but had two hinges at the front and back allowing the pallet to fit into the cargo quadrant. They detached the pallet from Polaris and tested some of the batteries and affixed parts onto it (such as the antenna and seats). Most of these parts were non-functional, and this activity was mostly a practice exercise for Orion 4. The remainder of the day was spent inside Polaris, processing and transmitting the data for NASA to work with. Kimbrough, the mission specialist, was trained with a small degree of knowledge on geology and biology. While nowhere near certified, his work with the LGBE and sample collection were invaluable.
Days 5 and 6 were like the rest: checking ASEP systems, strolling around the lander, picking up samples, and processing data. Day 6 was special, because Cassidy and Kimbrough held a live interview for major news networks. In the meantime, Fischer and Dutton conducted gamma ray and x-ray observations, surface and stellar photography, and small particle spectrometer and mass spectrometer sensing. With the research being done by Enterprise, new images could be compared with old to note and new impacts or differences. Day 7 was the last day on the Moon, and that meant one thing: packing up. Experiments and data were packed up, samples were moved into their respective locations on board Polaris, and assorted cargo were taken aboard. The SWE had its net removed and placed in storage, and the ASEP was put into “Long-Duration Mode”.
Polaris lifted off the surface of the Moon on May 23, 2018, returning to Enterprise in orbit. Polaris’s ascent stage was jettisoned, and Enterprise’s engines were lighted to send it back to Earth. After a three-day coast, Enterprise and her crew reentered and splashed down off the coast of Hawai’i at 12:24 on May 26, 2018.
Orion 3 was a record-setting mission. The fourteen-day mission logged 120 minutes of EVA time, well above any mission on Project Apollo. Time, sample and other assorted records were all shattered. The data collected could be processed for decades of research and development, and the data on the Altair lander and Orion capsule would aid in the development of their respective Block II counterparts. The mission was also a large PR boost for the program, ensuring funding for FY2019 and beyond. After all, the election cycle for the Democrat Party was only two years away and the announcement of Orion’s cancellation wouldn’t help their political base, which was slowly falling to the GOP, nonetheless after six years of the Obama administration. Orion missions up to Orion 15 were promised funding by congress, with a hopeful return on investment in international cooperation and research by 2025. This put political pressure on NASA to include more international partners in the program, much to both JAXA and the ESA’s delight. Seats for JAXA and ESA astronauts opened up for Orion 4, 5 and 7. The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) would push for one of their astronauts on an Orion flight. Because of the current seat conflict, NASA responded with a resounding ‘Maybe.’

I don't know what to say, what to think...
I mean, it seems like your species has done so many things that it's impossible for me to not have a certain primal fear of them. When I first heard all this, my instincts told me to run, to run for my life, to rush to the terminal and grab the first ship I saw back to the surface of Venlil Prime and return to Brightspire with my family, to be safe with them, with the herd.
But on the other hand...
My reason tells me something else, it tells me to listen to him, to at least try to understand what's going through Daniel's head when he says those things so calmly, and why his species has gone through so many horrible things, and why despite that, they managed to get here.
Fear.
Loneliness.
Those were the words he said when he told me why they ended up here. His species' fear... their terror of loneliness was so great that they decided it was worth inventing superluminal travel themselves instead of finishing colonizing their own system or waiting for the Federation to "elevate" them, just to try to find not even friends, but people, people they could reason with, talk to, think with... or in the worst case, fight.
A lump forms in my throat as I remember all the atrocities Daniel has told me about his history. Devastating wars, genocides, destruction between their own species on unimaginable scales for me... And yet, when I look at him, I don't see a bloodthirsty monster, but a being ashamed and confused due to the actions of his own species.
I hesitate for a moment in silence, undecided on how to proceed. My emotions are a whirlwind and I don't know what to say or do. I look at Daniel and notice how his shoulders tense up, as if he's restraining himself.
On an impulse, I get up from my seat and walk around the table towards him. Daniel watches me cautiously, but doesn't back away. Slowly, I extend my arms and envelop him in a comforting hug.
"You're not alone anymore," I murmur with a trembling voice. "Humanity will never be alone again, I promise."
I feel him initially tense up at my gesture, but then he relaxes and slowly returns the hug. His body feels tense, as if he's struggling to contain his emotions.
We stay like that for a moment, in a silence loaded with mutual understanding. I can feel his quickened heartbeats and notice his shoulders trembling slightly. I think he's trying to hold back tears.
I can't blame him. After everything his species has been through, all the hardships and suffering, it might be natural for him to feel overwhelmed by this display of affection.
Slowly, I raise my head a bit (without stopping the hug) to look at what should be his face through that mask. I wish I could see his features, his expression, but I'll have to make do with what I can perceive from his body language, at least for now.
"Daniel," I say in a soft but firm voice, "listen to me carefully. You've made mistakes, your species has made atrocious mistakes throughout its history. But that doesn't define who you are. Here and now, I see that you long for peace and understanding, and I'm sure you'll find it."
I feel him relax a little more as he listens to me intently. I take the opportunity to continue:
"Our peoples have suffered the horrors of war against the Arxur, we've seen our homes destroyed, our loved ones..." I swallow hard, remembering my sister. "I hate them, and I'm afraid of them... but it would be unfair to hate you or hate you, and if I did, how would I be better than you, if I only respond with hate towards you?"
I pause, making sure he catches every one of my words.
"You are the living proof that, despite adversities, beings can evolve, learn, change. Your species has shown that it can commit the worst acts of cruelty... but it is also here, seeking knowledge, seeking allies, seeking a future."
My ears droop a little as I remember the horrors that this Eternal War against the Arxur has caused, 63 devastated planets, billions of lives cut short.
A thought crossed my mind and I frowned slightly.
"Hey, speaking of that... do you really think there's a risk of another conflict like that?" I ask cautiously. "You know, one of those that almost exterminated your species?"
Daniel remains silent for a moment, his posture tensing up again. Maybe I shouldn't have asked about that topic so soon... Dammit, Syra! Why do you mess it up?
But to my surprise, Daniel responds frankly:
"I hope not, to be honest. After what happened in the Satellite Wars, humanity was left in a very bad state. I think we finally understood that we can't keep destroying ourselves like that."
"Although there's always a risk, you know? Humans tend to forget the lessons of the past too easily. Our fears, our prejudices, our desire for power... all that can derail even the best intentions."
I purse my lips, feeling a knot in my stomach. His words remind me too much of the current situation with the Arxur. The endless war, the continuous attacks and suffering... What if one day humans find themselves embroiled in something similar?
From what I've heard, they're already involved in a war against the Arxur on the Gojid's homeworld. And it seems the humans are winning...
What if they become what they swear they're not?
What if they become predators, real predators?
No, no, no, NO! Daniel won't give in to that, I'm sure of it.
He's not like the Arxur, even if the rest of humanity becomes mass murderers, I'm sure Daniel won't give in to that, he just proved it to me.
He showed vulnerability with me, and I can't allow my hatred to blind me once again.
I have to be strong, maybe this is what my sister would have wanted.
I take a deep breath and look at Daniel with determination once more.
"I don't know if all of humanity will, but I trust that you won't fall into that darkness, and that you'll keep getting better and better."
At that, I notice Daniel start to slide his "hands" down my back while still hugging me.
"What are you doing?" I ask with a mixture of curiosity and insecurity.
"Sorry, it's just that... your fur feels so soft and fluffy. It's a pleasant sensation, almost addictive. S-sorry, did I overstep? I'll let go and it's no problem," Daniel responds in a slightly embarrassed tone through his mask.
I frown a little at his comment, not sure how to take it. On the one hand, I understand that my fur is novel for him. But on the other, I have to remind myself that Daniel is still a predator, no matter how kind he seems.
But I can't deny that it also doesn't seem like too alien a gesture, and that maybe I like it?
"No, it's okay. It's just... different from what I'm used to," I admit. "But you can keep going, if you wish."
Daniel nods and continues to gently slide his paw. Little by little, I start to get used to the sensation. It's... comforting, in a strange way. Nothing like the displays of affection from my parents or my sister with their tighter hugs, or the usual snout caresses or licks among my species. This is more subtle, more restrained.
At that moment, the doorbell rang. Someone was calling at the door. Daniel tensed as if we'd been caught in the middle of an improper act. Then he abruptly pulled away from me, left the room and walked towards the door of our "apartment".
"Who is it?" he asked cautiously.
"It's Thomas, one of the station assistants," a male voice responded from the other side. "I have a notice."
Daniel looked at me briefly before opening the door. There was a human dressed in a blue uniform with the space station's logo. He was wearing a mask similar to Daniel's.
"What's going on?" Daniel asked in a respectful but slightly annoyed tone.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fernandez, sorry to interrupt you," Thomas said calmly. "I'm here to remind you that you have an appointment scheduled with the station's therapist in half an hour."
Daniel let out a slight growl of frustration. From his reaction, it was evident that he wasn't expecting this.
"An appointment with the therapist? No one told me about that."
"Yes, it's part of the standard protocol for members of the exchange program with special conditions like yours," Thomas explained professionally. "We were informed about your High-Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis and it was considered appropriate to provide you with additional therapeutic support."
Upon hearing those words, I swallowed hard. Daniel had a condition like that? He had never mentioned it to me in our previous conversations. I mean, he had mentioned not having many friends and struggling with socializing, was that why? On the one hand, I felt a bit upset that he hadn't trusted me enough to tell me something like that. But on the other, I understood. It was probably a sensitive topic for him.
Although I was also a bit worried, how was the "therapy" or standard procedure for treating creatures like him? Just imagining that they could do to him what they did to my sister, or worse, given his nature, after everything we talked about...
No, I won't allow that again. I have to find some way to help him.
The mere idea that something like that could happen to Daniel almost caused me panic.
"Excuse me," I interjected, my voice higher pitched due to nerves. "Can I accompany Daniel to that... therapy? Just to make sure everything is okay."
Thomas, the human employee, looked at me doubtfully through his mask. Perhaps my request sounded inappropriate considering the customs of his species. By the stars, what if I offended him? I should have been more cautious.
Just as I was about to apologize, Thomas nodded.
"Well, if that is your wish, you can accompany your human companion to the door of the room where this therapy will take place, since whether or not you enter therapy with him is no longer up to me, but up to the therapist who will be treating him," he responded calmly.
I felt a great relief upon hearing those words. I wouldn't be alone, and I could keep a close eye to make sure they didn't do anything bad to Daniel.
"Thank you, I really appreciate it," I responded in a better tone, allowing my shoulders to relax a bit.
Daniel, however, didn't seem too pleased with the situation.
"You haven't answered me," he said in a tone of annoyance. "No one told me about this."
Thomas shrugged.
"Excuse me, Mr. Fernandez. We were informed of your diagnosis and it was considered appropriate to provide you with additional therapeutic support as part of the protocol," he explained patiently. "We should have notified you in advance, but the details may have gotten lost in the whirlwind of preparations. In any case, it's just a routine evaluation session. If you don't feel comfortable, we can postpone it."
I noticed Daniel's discomfort at having his "diagnosis" referred to. It was evident that he did not enjoy having his condition referred to in that manner. In a condescending way.
"No, no, it's fine," Daniel muttered with some resignation. "Let's just get this over with. Where will the therapy be?"
Thomas looked at both of us and then nodded curtly.
"It will be in Wing 4, please follow me," he indicated as he turned around.
We followed him in silence through the corridors of the station. Daniel walked stiffly by my side, with tense shoulders and clenched fists. I could sense his discomfort with this whole "therapy" situation. I don't blame him, if I were surprised like that out of the blue, I'd be upset too.
As we moved forward, I couldn't help but think about Thomas's comments about Daniel's "diagnosis." What exactly did that "Autism Spectrum Disorder" mean? It sounded like some kind of medical condition. Would it be something serious? Were they forcing him into some kind of "treatment" against his will?
No, I shouldn't jump to conclusions. I know Daniel and I know he's a rational, curious, and friendly being. There must be a logical explanation for this, yes, there has to be one*.*
Still, I couldn't help but worry about him. I had to stay alert in case this "therapy" turned out to be some kind of torture in disguise. I would not allow them to harm my new human friend, not after all the atrocities his species had already lived through and committed.
As we walked through the corridors of the station, I moved a little closer to Daniel, and wrapped my tail around his arm in a friendly gesture.
"Everything will be okay," I whispered softly. "I won't let them hurt you. We're in this together, alright?"
We kept walking in silence until Thomas stopped in front of a door.
"This is it. The therapy room is at the end of this hallway," he indicated with a gesture. "You can wait there until they call you."
I nodded seriously and took the lead, advancing determinedly down the corridor. I had to be prepared in case something went wrong. My heart was pounding, fear coursing through my veins. I feared the worst, but I was also determined to protect Daniel from any danger, even if they diagnosed me with "Predator's Disease" myself, I was not going to allow the same thing to happen to him as to her.
Finally we reached the door that Thomas had pointed out. I took a deep breath and strode forward decisively, placing myself in front of Daniel in a protective gesture. I was prepared for whatever it was, as long as I could defend my new friend.
The door opened and we found ourselves in a large, bright room. There was some kind of elongated couch in the center and a few chairs arranged around it. Everything seemed quite... normal? Harmless? Well, better not to let my guard down just yet.
A human approached to greet us. He seemed to be a middle-aged man, without fur (not even on his head), and wearing another mask similar to Daniel's. Had he foreseen my arrival, or had they told him that I was going to come?
Although now that I see him, if human beings made me uneasy because of their lack of fur except on their heads. Now this guy even more so, since he doesn't seem to have been healthy at all.
This doesn't seem good, although I'll have to see how this develops before getting Daniel out of here.
"Welcome, I am psychologist Ramón Calderón, one of the therapists assigned to this integration program," he introduced himself with a slight nod of his head. "Please, take a seat wherever you like."
Daniel hesitated for an instant and then stepped forward to sit on one of the sofas. I followed him closely, not letting go of his arm. The human, Doctor Calderón, took one of the chairs in front of us.
"Very well, Daniel, first of all I would like to reassure you," he began to say in a measured tone. "This is not some kind of interrogation, test or experiment, unless you voluntarily accept it, of course. I simply want to talk to you, get to know you a little and evaluate if you need any additional support during your stay here."
I could feel Daniel relax a little more by my side. Good, it seems the preda-, no, human, had no hostile intentions... for the moment.
"I know you're probably feeling a little uncomfortable with this situation," the Doctor continued. "No one warned you in advance and you might think they're taking too many liberties with you. But I want you to know that everything I do is with the intention of ensuring your well-being."
Daniel remained silent, listening intently. I noticed how he nodded slightly every now and then. Good sign, I guess.
"Now, if you don't mind, I'd like you to tell me a little about yourself," the Doctor asked kindly. "Your interests, your goals, whatever you want to share. There are no pressures or right or wrong answers."
There was a moment of silence as Daniel seemed to be organizing his thoughts. Finally, he shrugged and began to speak with his voice distorted by the mask:
"Well, I'm a computer engineering student. I really like programming and technology in general..."
As Daniel spoke, I watched him closely, ready to intervene if things got strange. But for now, everything seemed to be going well. Doctor Calderón nodded and made some notes from time to time, maintaining an apparently calm body language.

I've worked on a reimagining of the DCEU with the franchise starting in 2006 where the film for Superman released that year serves as a reboot. Phase 1 consists of Superman: Man Of Tomorrow, Wonder Woman: Warrior Of Truth, Batman: The Caped Crusader, Green Arrow: Emerald Archer, The Flash: Fastest Man Alive, Green Lantern Corps, and Superman II: Man Of Steel. Read each of these if you want to catch up.
Here's how Phase 1 brings each of the heroes together after they get their solo movies:

• Justice League: World's Finest Heroes (2010)

The movie begins with Batman reintroduced, who watches the news, satellite, and archive footage of Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow. Alfred enters and asks what he thinks of them. Bruce responds by saying they're powerful and could be useful or very dangerous from how much power they have. The next scene has a similar scenario with Lex Luthor, who watches footage of Scarecrow's fear toxin, Cheetah fighting in the jungle, the power of Weather Wizard as he's alongside The Rogues, Dark Archer's fight with Green Arrow, and Hector Hammond's abilities
A few days later, Senator Finch heads to her office and is met by someone in her chair. The scene implies it's Lex Luthor, but we only see the sight of his mouth and not his full face. She demands to know what Lex wants and he wants her to approve a project he's working on that can provide better security and protection for the world, which Superman and other vigilantes can't. She refuses, at first, since she knows how it isn't about protecting the people and it's for himself, but he blackmails her by threatening her family and she's forced to comply with Lex's demands when threatened.
Cue Title Card: "Justice League: World's Finest Heroes"
The first scene has Lex Luthor bring the Legion of Doom together. He starts with Cheeta, Dark Archer, and Weather Wizard, whom he offers money and personal promises to convince them, then Scarecrow and Hector Hammond, last, who are a bit harder to persuade, but he finds ways around it to get them to join him. Hector Hammond is brought from his space prison when he's broken out by reprogrammed droids Brainiac used to control during the events of Superman II and are how Lex's property.
Lex has them gathered around a table with food for them and gives insight of his disdain for heroes and he wants their help in taking them down, in exchange he sticks to his promises for them. It's an uneasy alliance, but the villains have a common urge to get back at the heroes who've thwarted their goals, so they decide to agree to work together. Lex and Tommy Merlyn use their resources to give the villains upgrades. Scarecrow modifies his fear toxin & Hector Hammond rebuilds the body of Despotellis and has control over it instead of it controlling him while Weather Wizard, Cheeta, Dark Archer, and Lex are already strong in their own right, so they don't need many upgrades since their plan is coming into fruition.
The next scene shows Batman hearing about a heist taking place through the radio and taking the Batwing to investigate. It leads to a government facility and the closer he gets to the location, the worse the weather around him gets. He lands the Batwing out of sight & sneaks into the facility while using stealth to avoid being spotted by the intruders. He suspects an intruder following him and it's shown to be Green Arrow, who's annoyed by his snarkiness. They continue to use stealth to observe the intruders and at the right moment, they confront Scarecrow and Dark Archer, who are stealing robotic parts & weapons.
The first fight scene has Batman & Green Arrow work together against Scarecrow & Dark Archer, whose upgrades give them an advantage over the heroes. They hold their own as they fight them, but Scarecrow releases a dose of upgraded fear toxin and spreads it through the facility. Batman and Green Arrow relive their greatest fears, which is Bruce hallucinating a Gotham City in ruins from his failure to protect it and Oliver being stuck on the island he fought hard to escape and as the effects get worse, Batman finds an antidote in his utility belt while getting himself and Oliver out of the facility to cure him of the effects.
Scarecrow and Dark Archer are backed up by Weather Wizard and Dark Archer, so it seems they're outnumbered until Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash show up to stop them and it has the second fight scene shows the heroes trying to stop the villains. In contrast, the villains have an easier time syncing with each other to fulfill the tasks Lex gave to them while the heroes aren't off to a good start working together but are doing their best to communicate. Hector Hammond arrives in an airship provided by Lex with a rebuilt version of Despotellis, whom he orders to take them down. Hector Hammond's arrival gives the Legion of Doom an advantage over the heroes and Despotellis makes a challenging opponent for them to evade.
Just as it seems the heroes are outmatched, Green Lantern arrives to come to their aid and it forces the villains to quickly escape before they can be caught with help from Hector Hammond & a few of Lex's droids. The heroes recover from the damage dealt to them and their time regrouping has them get to know each other while Batman is a bit weary of their presence and investigates any traces left in the government facility. Batman uses detective vision to deduce how the villains stole the robotic parts and weapons from the facility and Superman meets with him to help. Batman shows the others what he deduced in the facility and believes whatever they're planning and whoever's in charge of them, it'll have them all targeted. Superman and Wonder Woman think it's best if they work together to find out why each of their villains is working together and they suspect different reasons as to why.
The heroes get on the same page and Superman tries convincing Batman to work with them, but he isn't willing to work with them yet since he prefers to settle his business in Gotham City to analyze what he found with his detective vision. Before Superman can try convincing Batman again, he enters the Batwing and leaves while the heroes are left to think of a plan. Superman suspects the person behind this is Lex Luthor from what his super-hearing gathered from the conversation between the villains during the heist.
Back in the Batcave, Bruce and Alfred analyze the evidence found in the government facility to deduce what the villains were after, and how and why Scarecrow is involved since it's part of something bigger than Gotham City. Alfred suggests he should work with the other heroes since he can't face them alone. Bruce refuses, at first, since while he can work with others, he doesn't feel comfortable with working alongside other heroes since Gotham City is where his business lies. Alfred persists in convincing Bruce to give it a chance since there's a bigger world out there amongst Gotham City and it's a chance to do more than just fight criminals since the situation is bigger than himself, which has Bruce reluctantly agree to give it a chance since he still feels skeptical of working with other heroes.
Superman and Wonder Woman bring together Green Arrow, Green Lantern, and The Flash with Batman secretly following them from the shadows to observe their capabilities and decide if it's right to join them. Superman gets a lead on an operation by Ceasar Carlini, a crime boss in Metropolis working for Lex to smuggle weapons for him. The heroes quickly dismantle their operation with Batman in the background who takes down a few of their men, unknown to them. Superman tries to interrogate Carlini, who tries to not be intimidated since he knows the heroes won't do anything rash until Batman appears and breaks a few of his bones to get answers, which has him admit he's working for someone, but the figure is anonymous and has power over his operations.
Superman suspects the figure he's talking about is Lex and tells Batman to let him go. Outside of the area while the police arrest Carlini and his men, Batman tells Superman he's decided to agree to work with them and says meet him in the Batcave for planning and strategy. Superman uses his X-ray vision to see who Batman is, but the material in his suit prevents him from getting an image of his identity, which makes him a bit suspicious of Batman accepting his offer, but he decides to trust him.
The heroes follow Batman to the Batcave and Alfred is above them in Wayne Manor so they don't know his identity yet. The Flash explores areas of the Batcave with this super speed and thinks it's quite cool, but Batman warns him to not break anything. Batman debriefs them on his findings from the government facility during their first encounter with them and the evidence he has is the robotic parts & weapons used to be part of a former government project Lex Luthor had developed before it was rejected for being deemed as too dangerous for them to use, which has them figure out Lex is behind this and it's why he formed his own "Legion of Doom" to distract them.
Batman asks for an explanation of what abilities the heroes have and they give a brief rundown of their capabilities. Superman's abilities concern Batman since he's one of the most powerful people on Earth, so he asks for their weaknesses, which the team is divided on sharing with him since it seems like a sign of distrust. Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Green Arrow object to it, but Superman and The Flash share their weaknesses with Batman as a sign of trust. When the strategy session ends, it's time for them to train to test their abilities and see if they'll be prepared. Before it starts, The Flash suggests team names like "Super-Friends", "The Syndicate" or "Avengers". Batman dismisses it and he says they'll go over that, later on.
The training session between the heroes has them learn about how they operate. Batman and Green Arrow spar in a fight, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern test their abilities in power-based sparring, and a race ensues between Superman and The Flash from across the river near the Batcave to test which one is the fastest, but they're tied by the time they return to the Batcave.
Just as it seems the heroes are learning to understand each other more, one of Lex's droids spots the race between Superman and The Flash. It alerts the other droids and Despotellis to secretly follow them back to the Batcave. A fight scene ensues for the heroes where they work together to fight against Lex's droids and find the weak spots of Despotellis, but it's more challenging than they thought since the droids and Despotellis know their weaknesses and use them to their advantage to exploit them. Batman uses the Batwing to help Green Lantern fight the large body of Despotellis in the sky while the other League members fight the droids below.
The droids blast them with Scarecrow's fear toxin, which has Superman, The Flash, & Wonder Woman experience their personal fears while Green Arrow finds a rare gas mask in the Batcave in a high area to avoid facing its effects again. Superman hallucinates his wife and son dead because of his inability to always be there for them, The Flash hallucinates a yellow silhouette with sparks of red lightning taunting him about how he isn't fast enough to save his loved ones, and Wonder Woman hallucinates the Amazons being disappointed in her.
Hector Hammond uses this to exploit their fears when he sees footage from Lex's droids by using telepathy to amplify it and turn them on each other. Batman, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern would work together to free them of the trance they're under by dodging their attacks to find the antidote for the fear toxin. While this happens, Green Lantern tries to hold Despotellis in place with the power of his ring but the pressure from the commotion makes it hard to concentrate. Before he can break, Bruce and Oliver find the antidote and spread it through the Batcave with a device that cures them of the effects and it helps the heroes regroup and face Despotellis together so it can be defeated.
The heroes regroup and there's a bit of tension from the fight, but they settle it and head out to find where the Legion of Doom is. The heroes track them to another government facility containing the final robotic parts Lex needs for what he's building. There's a shot of the heroes standing side by side when they reach the location and prepare for the intruders. When they enter the facility, they confront Lex Luthor in His Warsuit, Scarecrow, Cheeta, Weather Wizard, Hector Hammond, and Dark Archer, which enacts a fight sequence between the League members and the Legion of Doom.
While the fight between the heroes and villains occurs, Lex activates the robotic parts the villains collected to come together. It catches the heroes off guard since they find out Lex meant to distract them so his best creation can be built. Once it activates, the heroes try to attack it but it adapts to their every move and even copies their abilities to throw back at them. It buys the Legion of Doom time to escape while the heroes are occupied with the advanced android who's a step ahead of them. The heroes start getting overwhelmed, which forces them to fall back as they barely escape.
The android returns to Lex Luthor's base since it's under his command and he sees the schematics and programming of the android to see if it's functional so it works for their plan, which it does. The old project reactivated by Lex was labeled as "Anti Metahuman Adaptive Zootomic Organism", and Lex jokes about how the name's too long to feel threatening, so he shortens it to "A.M.A.Z.O". Lex visits Senator Finch and a big demand he has is to have A.M.A.Z.O approved by the government with him overseeing it, which she's forced to comply with. It'll have to be approved by a congress bill to pass an Anti-Metahuman bill, which will be worked on.
The heroes return to the Batcave to regroup. While Batman analyses what his detective vision found in the area, the heroes have a bit of a falling out over how they failed to beat the Legion of Doom and think it's from their inability to listen to each other. Superman tries to calm them down and before the argument can escalate, Batman interjects by sharing new information about the android and how it was a past government project Lex tried to work on and get approved by the government, but it never got approved when government officials found it too suspicious and risky as a form of national security, especially since Lex's background was too shady.
The heroes, especially Superman, are worried since if A.M.A.Z.O becomes unstoppable, no one will be able to stop Lex or the android, and every metahuman will be killed or captured. As a way to ease tension and rebuild the team's trust, Wonder Woman has the idea of giving each member the lasso of truth to have them open up to each other about what motivated them to use their power for good.
Batman is up first since the team doesn't know much about them. Bruce carefully considers and accepts the lasso, which has him open up about his secret identity, how the death of his parents drove him to prevent more tragedies from happening, working with others, and having the hidden fear and paranoia of the bigger world amongst Gotham City until they showed him why teamwork can make them stronger because individually, they are not enough, and the fear him and they feel can be used to make them stronger. He saw it in Dick Grayson, saw it in them, and especially sees it in Superman and Wonder Woman.
Diana takes the lasso and tells the truth about how she's worked with others for many centuries and saw the horrors and humanity of man's world and spent her whole life hiding from it, and as flawed as they are, they show humanity can still thrive if they keep pushing forward. Clark is given the lasso and talks about how he's always strived to make a Better Tomorrow for humanity but it can be tough to handle alone since he relies on all of his power to defend Earth, but good people like them make it worth fighting for, no matter what comes their way.
Hal Jordan is given the lasso and says he's felt fear in many ways whether it's blindly facing it, feeling it, or fearing the weight of expectations he has as part of the Green Lantern Corps, but a Green Lantern is always supposed to be fearless for himself and his allies. Lastly, Barry Allen is given the lasso and talks about how he spent his whole life searching for the impossible since there are many things in this world that are hard to explain since he was a child and chased it to do more, but instead of running from his past because of the death of his mom and his father being locked up, he runs towards a better future as they do. After the team vents on their past to regain trust in each other, they regroup and prepare to stop Lex Luthor, Amazo, and The Legion of Doom, once and for all.
The next scene shows Lex making the finishing touches to A.M.A.Z.O's programming so it functions right. The Legion of Doom questions Lex about whether he'll stick to his deal for them and supposedly promises to, but he seems too focused on A.M.A.Z.O. Cheeta asks if the android will target them or he'll make sure its programming will know they're on Lex's side since it's his creation. Lex assures her he has the android under control so he'll work on the kinks, but he doesn't seem to care about the Legion that much since they've had their usefulness.
Hector Hammond uses his telepathy to mind control the government officials and have them approve of A.M.A.Z.O when it's presented by Senator Finch as she's forced by Lex to show it in a positive light, but the villains learn the heroes have recovered and will arrive soon, so they get together and prepare for them while Lex has it recorded with a droid of his. The heroes use what they learned to make a better effort at fighting the Legion of Doom while switching between opponents. The team uses it to their advantage to finally defeat them so they can stop A.M.A.Z.O and find where Lex Luthor is,
Since Lex has no use of the Legion anymore, he gets his upgraded Warsuit ready, which now has A.M.A.Z.O's ability to copy the abilities of the heroes and it makes him and A.M.A.Z.O true threats to the heroes, so it has the team act cautiously when fighting Lex and Amazo. The final fight has Superman and Batman face with Lex Luthor while Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and The Flash are occupied with A.M.A.Z.O.
The League defeats A.M.A.Z.O when they identify weak spots and override its programming when copying their abilities, which leaves an opening for them to finally destroy it. They do the same for Lex's Warsuit to defeat him. Afterward, the police arrive to arrest the Legion of Doom and Lex Luthor, which enacts an epilogue where it shows the heroes helping to clean up the mess left by Lex and the Legion, congress thanking the heroes for saving them, and Lex Luthor being put on trial. Lex tries to lie, but since Senator Finch and the League show undeniable proof of his crimes, he's sentenced to life in prison so he'll be away for a long time.
The heroes meet in a building that becomes their headquarters since they're officially a team. They still wonder what their team name can be and Barry Allen comes up with a name called "the Justice League", which the team likes and agrees to call themselves. The movie ends with the heroes willing to work together and are labeled as the "World's Finest Heroes" by the media. The heroes learn about a robbery taking place and it's being caused by a group of criminals called the "Royal Flush Gang" and it has them rush into battle together as the screen cuts to black.

1. Mid-credits scene: Amanda Waller observes the news about the Justice League becoming popular among the locals after they stopped Lex Luthor and she analyses files over a variety of metahumans criminals, and mercenaries she has tabs on for a project she's working on for if these heroes were to over go rogue or if the world loses them, which is labeled as "Task Force X". This sets up the Suicide Squad as the government's secret countermeasure for the Justice League, going into Phase 2 and future phases.
2. Post-credits scene: We're shown a planet that has burning firepits and is in a desolate state. A hologram of the accomplishments of the heroes is shown to its ruler by his disciple. He believes since Earth has new protectors like Kryptonians, Lanterns, Amazons, and humans with sheer willpower, it's time for them to strike when they have the chance. The ruler is shown as a dark silhouette and tells him to have patience since they'll need to prepare to challenge them as Earth will be his one day. The dark silhouette is implied to be Darkseid and his disciple is shown to be Steppenwolf, but he isn't shown yet and will be revealed much later in a future Phase.

I found an interesting geopolitical study on a comparatively unknown Pentagon agency's(Executive Services Directorate's) website where it discusses four scenarios for the future of Europe's Muslim population and reading through it, despite it being published in 2008, I found it has been quite prescient in many ways as it accurately predicted many trends regarding terrorism and the responses to it. It discusses the challenges and the possible impossibility of true integration in the sense Europeans are accustomed to, and the geopolitical realities of the above on Europe and US-European relations. If you have the time you should read through the full study and its conclusions, but here are the summaries of each and their likelihood of occurring, starting from least likely to most likely.
Synthesis: Euro-Islam and a New Europe (Least Likely).
In an extension of the EU project to transcend Europe' s internal historical divisions, European societies manage to create a workable new civilization and political culture rooted in cosmopolitan precepts rather than in national or historical legacies. To qualify as a European one need only embrace a new civic creed. The Muslim populations of Europe develop a distinctive variant of their religion, relegating Islam to a personal or private moral code while adopting European languages, modes of dress, career ambitions, lifestyle choices, etc. A core body of secular beliefs and structures comes to characterize the Muslim populations as much as it does pre-existing European populations. This outcome is promoted by inherent tendencies on the part both of migrant and host communities to integrate the Muslim immigrant populations of Europe into the pre-existing social milieu. Designed programs of the State also act to promote integration and assimilation.
Eurabia: A Muslim-dominated Europe (Second Least Likely)
With its population aging and declining, Europe has little choice but to permit increased immigration from North Africa, the Middle East, and elsewhere in the Muslim world. Emboldened by their youthfulness, growing numbers, and a vibrant religious-cultural identity, Europe's Muslim immigrants increasingly assert themselves in European politics. The present disparities in birth rate grow even sharper. Exhausted, insecure, disoriented, and intimidated, European host societies never regain the cohesiveness of identity and purpose to assert themselves against an energetic, rising social order. Ultimately, the Muslim populations ofEurope overwhelm the host societies, until Europe becomes a socio-religious extension of the Ncar East and North Africa, possibly with residual enclaves of the pre-Islamic European population left from place to place. Pressure from within and from without compels the European states to distance themselves from cooperation with the United States, particularly in the Middle East.
Fortress Europe (Second Most Likely)
Unsettled by its inability to integrate its Muslim populations and impatient with the Muslims' refusal to assimilate, Europe dispenses with its relatively recent experience with liberalism. Global economic downturn and acts of jihadist terror provoke Europeans to embrace a highly xenophobic style of politics. European politics comes to be dominated by anti-Muslim ideologues, who adopt a program of organized hostility to Muslims and to already-established Muslim populations in Europe. The practical manifestations of the new reaction in Europe vary between some combination of isolation and draconian police controls at the least extreme end of a spectrum; to mass expulsion at the most extreme. Factors leading to this outcome include growth in alarm at the socio-economic problems associated with the Muslim populations; a break down of the ideology of multiculturalism and political taboos; and incidents of terrorism as mobilizing shock events.
The Green Ghetto (Most Likely).
The present-day (c. 2007) status quo continues-but, through the passage of time, it crystallizes-i.e., becomes more rigid and less likely to undergo transition to other forms. Muslim populations are restricted- at first by choice, later perhaps by formal legal provisions to more or less dearly defined geographic precincts, chiefly in large European cities. Elites within these populations may achieve a nominal degree of integration, through language acquisition and economic engagement with the host society. The main body of each Muslim population however remains self-contained, and advances little beyond a low-level economic niche. State integration programs stall, achieving, at best, the occasional convert to European social norms-but integration remains an exceptional phenomenon, restricted to individual cases. Globalization in the form of satellite television and air transportation makes it easier for immigrant populations to retain ties to their societies of origin and maintain distinct identities. Meanwhile globalization in the form of increased market competition undermines the European welfare state. Maintaining a homogenous society is no longer easy or even desirable. In essence, European society reverts to a pre-nation-state pattern wherein economic classes are socially distinct and ethnic-cultural groups fill specific economic niches
Foreign Policy Conclusions Related to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict:
Synthesis: The study's authors did not delve into the effects this might have on foreign policy so this is the one I would like to hear most from the people on. Personally I think we would see a more pro-Arab, but not necessarily rabidly anti-Israel, response in Europe if secularism and humanitarianism/a reformed private Islam win out over political Islam and the Muslim population integrates in this optimistic scenario. You would likely see a harder push for a two-state solution and an end to the conflict with Europe putting leashes on both the Palistineans and Israelis becoming tired of it, condemning Palistinean terrorism while also condemning Israeli countermeasures.
Eurabia: This would be the absolute worst scenario for Israel and the absolute best scenario for the Palestinians as it would turn Europe into an extension of MENA. The study does not go into detail on this but Israel would be entirely surrounded by actively Islamist countries by air, land, and sea, and the US would be forced to decide whether backing Israel is worth it if it turns the entire continent of Europe and MENA against it. Israel's existence as a state may actually be threatened even with nuclear weapons or it may even be forced to turn into an effective autarky North-Korean tier state if embargos are put on it and it is cut off from all of its trading partners. It may be able to survive but only with heavy concessions to the Palestinians and the potential loss of Jerusalem and/or exploiting inter-Muslim tensions.
Fortress Europe: This did not touch on Israel-Palestine directly but it does present an interesting US-EU dynamic depending on how bad the situation goes ranging from anywhere between the US supporting the crackdown or expulsion of Muslims to being vehemently against it or somewhere in between, meaning Israel could see a huge rift and tension between its two allies or them coming closer together to crack down on Islam. The former would be problematic for Israel due to a lack of coordination or even hostility between the two. The latter could go two ways depending on whether the historical antisemitism of the conservative right reemerges or it does not. If it does, this could not be great for Israel for various reasons ranging from outright hostility to a cold peace or anywhere in between. If it does not, however, it could be extremely beneficial to Israel as both Europe and America would not be fans of Muslims and Israel would become a key staunch ally for both with strong support from both and Israeli maximalist positions would likely find favor.
The Green Ghetto: The study touches on the IP conflict here saying that Europe would either become too distracted and divided by internal issues to really influence the conflict or it becomes more pro-Arab in the sense it does not want to set off constant ethnic conflict within its own borders by backing Israel or at least moving towards a more neutral position. One could extrapolate from this that it could also become bipolar each election cycle depending on which parties are in power, the more anti-Islam conservative ones backing Israel not so much because they care about Jewish sovereignty but more because it angers the Muslims which pleases their political base. The more progressive parties will turn more pro-Arab in an attempt to placate the Muslim population and deepen economic ties with MENA. You could also see a huge Western/Eastern Europe divide on this. Israel's position here would wax and wane with the political tide and it would require Israeli politicians to be skilled to navigate this.
Anyway, those are the summaries and my thoughts, what are yours?

Dear FIAT USA:
Last year I purchased a used 2014 FIAT 500L with less than 60,000 miles on it. In the year I’ve owned it, I’ve experienced the following failures that have needed repair:
· Turbo failure
· Headliner sag / adhesive failure
· Exterior paint clear-coat failure
· Neutral safety switch Failure
· Rear hatch latch failure
· Alarm system programming failure
· Tire pressure monitoring system module failure
· Multi-air brick failure
· Driver sun visor failure (stalk became brittle, snapped)
· Passenger sun visor tension failure
· Rear license plate light assembly failure
· Coolant system component failure
The last of the latter listed failures (I’m sitting here thinking there HAS TO BE at least one other thing I’ve missed on that long distinguished list) required radiator replacement as well as upper and lower radiator hose replacement. Unfortunately, the upper radiator hose, part number 68261751AA, is on indefinite backorder as it has been for months. My car has likewise been undriveable for months as it requires said part to be operational again.
It’s one thing to make vehicles that are of low-quality, such low quality that the cost of repairing this vehicle far exceeds the (roughly) $10,000 I paid for it in only a year’s time. But, it’s another thing to manufacture vehicles…of any quality standard…but particularly those of FIAT standards where it’s well-known that replacement parts WILL BE NEEDED and OFTEN…..and NOT STOCK REPLACEMENT PARTS SUCH THAT DEALERSHRIPS MAY AVAIL THEMSELVES TO SAID PARTS WHEN THEY ARE NEEDED.
Are you surprised you sold a total of 602 new FIAT vehicles in the United States during the entirety of 2023? That’s a far cry from the 46, 999 units you sold in 2012. People thought back in 2012 they could trust FIAT again; surely they were not the same build quality as they were in the 1980s when you withdrew from the United States entirely, right? But, apparently, as stupid as the average consumer is, even they understood how bad FIAT quality still was and it showed by 2017 when sales began dropping to a tune of 26,492 units. When I talk to FIAT dealers, few and far between as they are in the United States, I see no new cars being offered. The sales reps say they are by special order only because the demand isn’t there. The truth of the matter is that not only consumers don’t want them but the mechanics at FIAT dealerships cringe whenever anyone brings a FIAT in for service and repair because even the factory authorized dealers have a hard time figuring out what’s wrong with these things. Places like Jiffy Lube won’t even touch a FIAT, not even for a simple oil change! Some extended warranty companies won’t even sell a policy covering these vehicles; is it a wonder why?
I had to go out and buy a second car while still continuing to may payments on this 2014 FIAT 500L, thus mandating I make two car payments in lieu of one that I can barely afford (thus why I bought the car in the first place, as valuation on used FIATs are understandably depressed as compared to other makes here) just so the 500L can sit for God knows how long in the dealer’s satellite lot and rot away under a tree while it futility awaits FIAT to ship a radiator hose. You’d think one would be able to use a generic radiator hose but no: that hose was made to be specific for that car such that I cannot even substitute a generic because of a fitting specific to the model! You have to be kidding me!
You all should be ashamed of yourselves, first of all. Second of all, I hope you pull out of the United States market altogether. Why stay here in the States if you are not wanting to put forward effort in stocking even the simplest of parts for the cars you do offer here? Even the parts that were available in the long list of those that failed that I previously enumerated only numbered less than a handful in availability, such as there having been one sole neutral safety switch that the dealer was able to see available in national inventory when that failed. As the dealership’s service manager put it: “It’s almost like they want these things off of the road”. I don’t think you all want these things off the road. In fact, I don’t think the cars you sell to U.S motorists even cross your mind after they drive off of the sales floor. FIAT simply does not care about FIAT owners and the cars they are attempting to maintain!
