2024.05.18 04:33 alternatemearas Cheapest piggy-back optics/irons?

Google has been absolutely useless lately. I have a piggy back optic above a fixed 5x prism that Primary Arms does not make anymore. The riser is such that the height is about normal for an AR platform, like if you were using a mil spec rear and front iron sight. It's an AR15A4, and the riser is fused with blue loctite (yes, that much) so taking the riser off isn't an option.
It's got one of those cheap bushnell micro red dots that mounts via picatinny. I'd recommend it, it was surprisingly good for 80 ish bucks, unless those romeos are on sale like they are every year. I was wondering if anyone could point me towards an iron sight they make for piggy backs, I know they're out there, but google sucks.

2024.05.16 01:04 guijcm [S] [USA-LA] Olympus OM-1 + Olympus Zuiko 24mm f2.8 (Reduced)

Photos and timestamp (last picture): https://imgur.com/a/7MBXhT6
For sale is an Olympus OM-1 paired with an Olympus H.Zuiko 24mm f2.8.
Askings:
Bundle $100 shipped
Body: $50 + shipping
Lens: $60 + shipping
Shipping is a $10 flat rate through USPS. PayPal G&S. Everything is negotiable.
Camera is in rough shape cosmetically but seems to operate as intended. I picked this one up from a local photographer who was selling his gear and he mentioned he had it professionally CLA'd a few years ago. I have a copy of my own and all speeds seem to be accurate and I cannot find any indication that it won't perform properly when put to use. However, since I have not yet tested it with film I cannot guarantee that everything works perfectly; for such reason I am selling it as is and will not be accepting any returns.
Camera fires, all speeds work, advancing lever is smooth. Viewfinder is clear and bright, no dust; there seems to be a very faint spot of prism degradation on the lower left that is hard to capture in photos, but it is a miniscule spot. Light seals are brand new.
Leather throughout the body is a bit rough, with some corners peeling off a little bit; there's one corner on the front lower right side that has a piece missing and reveals one of the body screws, which I believe resulted from the last maintenance the camera received. It has some stains where the hot shoe mount used to sit on. There is a scratch on the black piece on top of the advancing lever from where they probably unscrewed it to do maintenance. The timer functions properly and as intended.
The light meter seems to be inaccurate, mostly indoors. It turns on and will react to changes in speed and aperture, but is a few stops underexposed when used indoors. It seems to be more accurate outdoors when there is more light to take in, as it is usually one stop or half a stop off from my external light meter. I would not rely on the internal light meter for shooting.
Olympus OM-SYSTEM H.ZUIKO AUTO-W 24mm f2.8.
The lens is fair condition, but I have not tested it either and cannot guarantee the image quality that will come from it. However, the imperfections in the glass aren't apparent unless you shine a very bright light directly to the elements. There is haze to be found mostly on the front element, slight haze on the rear element. There are a couple specks of dust that are noticeable on the back element. There are some scratches throughout the body of the lens. The rubber ring to control the focus is coming loose, but stays in place (used some glue to glue it at specific spots around the ring). Lens will only come with a front cap and will be attached to the camera during shipping.
Focusing is smooth. Aperture is smooth and clicky. Aperture blades are clean and free of oil. Apertures work properly and open and close when camera fires.
All in all I personally believe that if put to use the camera would perform properly, but there is no way to know until film is developed from it; so please be aware that the camera is untested and it's reliability or functionality are not being guaranteed whatsoever. Buy at your own risk.
Feel free to send me a message if there are any questions or concerns that I may assist with. Thanks for looking.

2024.05.15 21:16 beetle-mania321 “Stockist” warning 🚩 had to file charge back

Just warning the community - DO NOT buy from The Homestead Creations, who appears to have several Baggu items up for sale.
On my quest for a mini cloud bag in aloe, I impulsively purchased from them, only to find out they haven’t been active on social media since October…
Read their policies and it said it takes a week to fulfill an order, but there are no cancellations or refunds 😕 luckily, a different stockist had the item I was searching for! Prism Boutique — I had purchased from them before so they are reputable! My order came in 2 days and I love my bag!
I gave my first order 2 weeks before contacting them. I emailed them asking for an update and the email (which was sent to their help@ address) bounced 🚩 so I filed a chargeback immediately and my CC company resolved it quickly.
Don’t be impulsive like me! Make sure you do your research before grabbing that baggu you’ve been eyeing

2024.05.14 16:12 _de414 How much is my rig worth in 2024? (2080 + R7 3700X)

I'm thinking about selling my system to rebuild with modern hardware (also because my tastes have changed and I want to up my resolution).
While I am familiar with new hardware costs, I am not familiar with used pricing nowadays. How much could I hypothetically get for a build with these parts?
https://pcpartpicker.com/usede414/saved/zXjKhM
I am keeping the strimmer cables as I got them on sale for around $10, so I didn't put them on the list. I am also keeping my storage because I do not want to transfer or redownload like 4 TB worth of Steam library.
PS. Don't flame me for the component choices, I built this when I was 16 and have upgraded bits as I needed :) also don't flame me for fingerprints, I recently moved (back from uni) and I haven't been able to clean it yet.

2024.05.14 00:36 _de414 How much is my rig worth in 2024?

2024.05.13 20:09 Caspid Friday vs Juciao paddles?

My family's new to pickleball, and looking to get something better than the starter Amazon paddles. Anyone have comparative experience with these two?
I've tried the Juciao paddles, and they seem like great value - I still prefer my Prism Flash, but $40 is a great price point. Just wondering if the Friday paddles offer anything extra, as they're running a sale for two for $100. Thanks!

2024.05.12 04:35 guijcm [S] [USA-LA] Olympus OM-1 + Olympus Zuiko 24mm f2.8

Photos and timestamp (last picture): https://imgur.com/a/7MBXhT6
For sale is an Olympus OM-1 paired with an Olympus H.Zuiko 24mm f2.8.
Askings:
Bundle $110
Body: $60
Lens: $70

2024.05.11 19:06 FreakyWifeFreakyLife First overclock?

ASUS TUF x470 R5 2600x MSI 2070 super Corsair 3200 MHz ram Wraith prism CPU cooler
This build is starting to age. So I'm considering replacing it, but also considering using it as my first overclock. A way to learn the process with less risk if not get better enough results to push off the replacement until the holiday/sales.
I was wondering what y'all's input would be on this. So far my learning has been limited to things like jays2cents, and things I'm reading here. Definite newb to this.
Basically, would you use this as a way to learn, or not with that cpu cooler, or board? Any thoughts on better uses for the old machine? File server? Sell it(where)?
